What are the key differences in content planning for B2B vs. B2C digital marketing?
What are the key differences in content planning for B2B vs. B2C digital marketing?
Navigating the Digital Divide: B2B vs. B2C Content Planning in India
Content is significant in India's expanding digital marketing industry. However, consumer engagement strategies (B2C) differ significantly from corporate engagement (B2B). Recognizing these differences is critical for creating effective marketing that reaches the intended target.
B2C Content Planning: Appealing to Emotions and Immediate Needs
B2C content is all about building a strong brand image, boosting sales right away, and keeping customers coming back for more. It uses emotions, engaging visuals, and fun entertainment to connect with individual shoppers.
Key Differences:
1. Emphasizing Expertise and Credibility: B2B content demonstrates a deep understanding of the industry, showcasing thought leadership and specialized knowledge.
Example: Infosys's white papers and webinars on emerging technologies like AI and cloud computing, demonstrating their expertise and attracting potential clients.
2. Comprehensive, Educational Material: B2B audiences are in search of detailed information that aids them in making well-informed choices.
Example: Tally Solutions' comprehensive guides and tutorials on GST compliance and accounting software, provide valuable resources for businesses.
3. Lead Acquisition and Development: The content is crafted to attract potential leads and assist them throughout the sales process.
Example: Zoho's free CRM trials and email marketing campaigns, nurturing leads with targeted content and personalized offers.
4. Focus on Return on Investment and Solutions: B2B content underscores how products or services address particular business challenges and provide quantifiable outcomes.
Example: Tata Communications case studies showcasing how their connectivity solutions have helped businesses improve efficiency and reduce costs.
5. Preference for LinkedIn and Niche Platforms: B2B brands focus on channels where professionals interact and engage with one another.
Example: Companies like TCS utilize LinkedIn to share industry insights, connect with potential clients, and build their professional network.
Indian Context Considerations:
Language Diversity: The rich linguistic variety in India requires the development of content in several languages to effectively engage a broader audience.
Regional Nuances: It is essential to comprehend regional preferences and cultural sensitivities to customize content for specific markets.
Mobile-First Approach: Given the high rate of mobile usage, it is critical to optimize content for mobile platforms.
Digital Transformation: Numerous Indian enterprises are embracing digital transformation, presenting opportunities for B2B companies that provide relevant solutions.
Conclusion:
Both B2C and B2B content marketing play crucial roles in the Indian digital environment, yet their strategies differ markedly. B2C marketing emphasizes emotional engagement and prompt responses, whereas B2B marketing focuses on establishing expertise, building trust, and fostering long-term relationships. By recognizing these fundamental differences and tailoring strategies to the distinct features of the Indian market, businesses can successfully connect with their target audiences and fulfil their marketing objectives.

I just listened to the new episode of Split the Veil and Ghil Dirthalen (member of the community council) clarified a few things that had us a bit confused about the Game Informer article!
As many of us suspected, the Lighthouse is NOT in the Fade, but rather in its own sort of "reality bubble" in the Crossroads.
Solas is apparently trapped in the place that was intended to be the new prison for the gods (as the old one was failing).
The part about Rook's blood being connected to the Fade will be much better explained in the game.
#I *knew* the author mistook the Crossroads for the Fade lol#I can already see a scene where Rook is like ''So why don't you just break out of here Mr Veil Expert?''#and then Solas is like ''Because *I BUILT it* to be *ESCAPE-PROOF*''#lmaoo#he actually fell into his own trap#datv spoilers#datv#dragon age the veilguard spoilers#da4#solas

Every Flags inspiration theory I have found, compiled
Note: some links are used multiple times, from sources with multiple theories. I pretty much linked everything I could find.
Albatross
Charles Baudelaire: mentioned here, here, here, here, and here. He wrote “L’albatros,” had imagery of guts in his writing, was a party person, wrote about alcohol, was a poet and major influence on Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud, and travelled to India (kukri knives are Nepalese in origin, but they are used elsewhere, including by the modern Indian Army. There is a very tangential possible connection).
Samuel Taylor Coleridge: mentioned here, and someone I know IRL is convinced of it. In The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, the albatross is a good omen for a ship (a boon to transit, + could connect to evading the helicopter and the time Albatross forced Chuuya to swim home) who is brutally killed, haunting the narrative.
Jules Verne: mentioned here. Albatross' management of vehicles goes with Around the World in Eighty Days, and the quicksand ability, if his, could reference Journey to the Center of the Earth. Verne being in 55 Minutes makes this seem less likely, though not out of the question given the unlikelihood of Albatross' legal name or author basis being specified.
Doc
Michael Crichton: mentioned here, here, here, and here. He wrote Jurassic Park, which includes dinosaurs (possibly connecting to his ability), the disastrous consequences of dubiously ethical genetic experiments (connecting to Stormbringer overall), and general themes of irresponsibly playing G-d. He had an M.D. from Harvard, making him, like Doc, a real doctor who studied in North America.
Edward Elmer Smith/E.E. "Doc" Smith: mentioned here. A sci-fi author known as Doc who was also a chemist. (He was described as blond, athletic, and gallant by Heinlein, which could be an intentional irony if Doc is based on him).
Iceman
Eugene O’Neill: mentioned here, here, and here. He wrote The Iceman Cometh, a play with a lot of parallels to the Flags and Stormbringer, and looked like Iceman.
Richard Kuklinski: mentioned here, here, and here. A convicted murderer known as the Iceman who claimed to have been a mafia hitman and to have killed 100-200 people (actually killed at least 5 but probably not more than 15). There is a book about him called The Ice Man: Confessions of a Mafia Contract Killer (though he didn't write it).
Aoyama Jirō: mentioned here. An art critic known for keen insight and a member of IRL Nakahara Chuuya's friend group.
Kawakami Tetsutaro: mentioned here. He introduced IRL Nakahara Chuuya to Saburō Moroi, and they were close friends until Nakahara's death.
Lippmann
Walter Lippmann: mentioned here, here, here, here, here, here, and probably elsewhere. Named Lippmann, he wrote Public Opinion, and his career in journalism, propaganda and negotiation work, and close ties to people in power fit with Lippmann being the face of the Mafia. The way he frequently held back until he got to a controversial issue which he decided he had to speak out about at the end of his career and him authoring a book which opens by talking about delays in information transfer could both correspond to an ability which will (allegedly) go off when he's killed and show the world the perpetrator.
Hasegawa Yasuko: mentioned here. She was an actress who IRL Nakahara Chuuya was once in love with and remained friends with.
Piano Man
Moroi Saburō: mentioned here and here. He brought together a music group which turned into a friend group which included IRL Nakahara Chuuya and adapted some of Nakahara's poems to music, as well as writing a lot of other music for the piano and other instruments.
D.H. Lawrence: mentioned here. He wrote "Piano," a famous poem where listening to a piano brings back memories of a lost childhood.
Billy Joel: mentioned here, here (sort of?), and in at least one other post I can't relocate, usually or always as a joke. He wrote and performed the song "Piano Man," which is about people hanging out at a bar.
#I bet there are more theories and I'll reblog this with them if I find them#bsd flags#bsd the flags#bsd albatross#bsd doc#bsd iceman#bsd lippmann#bsd pianoman#bsd theories#long post#I could be wrong about many details here because I've only read things by half these writers#counting Billy Joel#and am not an expert on any of them#Chuuya is not included in this post because he has a confirmed inspiration#I'm sure someone has an alt author inspiration theory for him#(like the theory that Sigma is the actual Dostoevsky)#but I'm also sure it's wrong#The Flags are ordered alphabetically and the theories are ordered by how likely I think they are#In some cases multiple theories could be correct#like if Piano Man led the group because of Saburō but he was also inspired by someone who wrote about counterfeiting or guillotines

my favorite authorization moments are honestly when the hunter starts walking towards the monster only to stop dead in their tracks and go "alma?". its so silly and it makes so much sense and i LOVE the existence of verbal permission rather than just implication. i think my hunter is autistic as shit
#ramblings#hunter when they start walking menacingly towards a monster but alma hasnt said anything so maybe theyre not allowed to hunt it#no ones recording you. no ones putting the authorization on paper. its entirely a verbal thing. they couldve just implied authorization#alma doesnt stop you -> authorization granted#but NO#if alma doesnt say anything the hunter turns to her and ASKS.#monster hunter wilds#mhwilds spoilers#monster hunter wilds spoilers#not beating the guard dog allegations#i LOVE playing guard dog btw. i love being a threatening side character who just kinda looms#i feel that way about dawntrail too like it had its flaws but the WoL stepping back for lamatyi wasnt one of them. i loved that#i loveee just kind of being there. im the expert but youre the one in need of growth and learning#ill help you qnd back you up if you need someone to do so but i will step back and let you have these things#which is more hunter & nata#im still cooking up thoughts on hunter/alma bc the guard dog/leash holder yuri is getting to me#alma/hunter princess & loyal knight au WHENNNNNN#i loveeeee guard dog/master dynamics this game was made for me#alma was like 'im so sorry to trouble you' and i felt like a lovestruck bodyguard wondering how she could ever think she needed to apologise

not me going "having weird priorities doesn't make Murderbot an unreliable narrator, it just means the reader has to sometimes infer the details it doesn't care abou- oh." But then that begs the question of if a human could be called a "reliable" narrator because we also leave out the things *we* don't care about.
#Murderbot#ignore Morg#literature#I have a lot of frustration interpreting the ''unreliable narrator'' label because I just don't vibe with the lack of a clear line (lol)#delineating the difference between just normal relevance of detail and when the ''unreliable'' quality starts to apply.#this is partially due to my specific flavor of autism#and partially due to the fact that my favorite kind of analysis to practice is seeing what unspecified information I can infer#from ostensibly objective narration or video or other media#I just don't see where the damn line can be drawn with any real meaning#like. does a show with a bg scientific team count as ''unreliable'' if we don't know what was which team member's specialty?#because the author didn't really care to hash that out? I care about what their specialties are bc I'm interested in how they made [thing]#and I can infer that the youngest scientist can't be their nanotech expert because they had nanites before he joined#Does that make the omniscient narrator of the show unreliable?#why is that any different from Murderbot not elaborating on things that we the audience know the human characters would take interest in#but that it doesn't?#Is the line simply whatever details a ''typical'' audience member would think to include? That's kind of unfair to a neurodiverse audience#and I wouldn't be willing to accept that definition - at least not without throwing out the whole label

another controversial take from me lol but you can do all the reading you want about butch femme but at the end of the day these are active dynamics that can only be done with another person or other people. this is not to say you must be in a romantic/sexual relationship to be a “true” butch or femme but um…you need to engage in the dynamic outside of tumblr discourse and shared pdfs
#like even if you read books there is a reason 99.9 percent of the ppl talking about only coming into their identity when community was found#i genuinely also think this is why a lot of discourse is happening#majority of yall just not living the life no shade#and i’m no expert!!! DO NOT TAKE ME AS ANY AUTHORITY#read all you want that doesn’t trump actally living the dynamic basically#don’t stop reading tho history is important#lesbian#black lesbian#queer#butch lesbian#black femme#femme4butch#femme lesbian

A quick doodle I did shortly after reading chapter 3 of @king-candybug-backup's Kill Switch AU, because I had the funniest mental image in my head when Cynistar realized that KCB was absolutely kicking it's ass suddenly
#I shared this with the author before but I figured I should post it because it's still making me smile#Cynistar: “I'm calling time out! TIME OUT? TIME OUT! TIME OUT!”#KCB: “I AIN'T HEAR NO BELL RAAHHHH”#Bro almost got disassembled on the spot it's crazy#KCB never needs a reason to go apeshit but if you give him one you're as good as dead#Looking at you RALPH#Also Tamora ma'am I KNOW you're the Cybug expert around these parts but you're not ready for this guy#Turbo is just something else entirely#Sinistar#King Candybug#King Candy#Turbo WiR#WiR Cybug#Casual Kaiju battle in the castle. Some people died. No biggie.#Chapter 3 is just KCB going “light work no reaction” and generally showing that he did not in fact fall off#And I loved every second of it#His malevolent joy is contagious I swear

East slavic naming guide
From a ukrainian artist who grew up in russia-influenced culture and has russian friends. Probably can also be applied to other east slavic nationalities, but I can't talk for them, so I strongly advice to do additional research.
So, you desided to make a character that is russian, ukrainian, belorussian or perhaps rusyn. It is very nice, we'd love some representation! But how to name your new east slavic creature in a way that would sound right for their real counterparts? Let's go over some frequent mistakes I notice in names of slavic characters.
Structure of the name
Our names consist of name, patronymic (usually) and surname. There can be exeptions from the established rule, but usually name and surname is a must.
Name
Gender is stupid, but if you want to be aware of it, then please mind which gender the chosen name represents. There are names that can be considered unisex in their nickname form, like Alexander (m) and Alexandra (f) is commonly redused to Sasha (f/m/whatever), or Evgeniy (m) and Evgeniya (f) can be nicknamed Zhenya (f/m/whatever). Mind that nicknames are usually used by friends and family, and it is considered polite and respectful to refer to a person you don't really know/who is much older than you or is of a higher rank or position by their full name and patronymic/matronymic (ex. "...so my teacher, Alla Ivanovna..." "Andrey Romanovich, can I ask you something about the task you gave us earlier?") (more on that later) Full, unshortened version of the name is rarely used in friendly and family settings, especially if the name is long and common. No friend or family would call you Vladislav if they don't mean it in comedic way or using your Full Name (tm) when they're angry (you know what I mean, your parents do that too), on a day-by-day basis people who know you would usually just call you Vlad. I encourage you to look up common nicknames for names when you choose them and to think about how other characters would refer to your east slavic depending on their manneurisms and relationships. Some nicknames are more often used in sertain settings than others, for example, here's name Sergey. Common nickname is Serezha/Serega, but on the streets (tm) it can be shortened to Seryi, which literraly means Gray, so have fun with that.
Surname
Please please PUHLEASE WATCH THE ENDINGS OF THE SURNAMES Most of the words in east slavic languages are gendered, especially surnames and patronymic/matronymics, that change their endings depending on who they belong to! Ex: If a character is male, then his SurnameNamePatronymic would be Sobolev Alexander Vasilyevich. If a character is female, her SNP would be Soboleva Alexandra Vasilyevna. You see where I'm going, right? There are some surnames that don't change, like Onyshenko, or Yakovenko, for example, that stay the same, no matter who they belong to. Be aware of that when you choose a surname and check how it changes and if it does at all, please. We would appreciate it greatly.
Patronymic/matronymic
Most of the time you meet people with patronymics, aka derivative word from the name of their father. It is uncommon, but not unheard of, for people to have matronymics (same but with their mother's name) or have neither. They pretty much always change depending on the gender of a person, ex.: There is a dude named Bogdan. His son would have patronymic Bogdanovich, his daughter - Bogdanovna, and his nonbinary child would probably choose a plural form of the word - Bogdanovni, but there are no rules for that in languages I know, so I'd ask actual east slavic nonbinary people how they go about that. People usually actually use patronymics/matronymics combined with full names in official settings. NP/NM is usually used by students when they reffer to teachers, by subodrinates when they talk to their boss, by kids when they talk to their friend's parents and etc. It's basically ms./mrs./mr. of the east slavic languages. It is also common for older people to call each other only by patronymic/matronymic if they know each other well, like if they are neighbours, colleagues or friends. They also usually shorten the patronymics/matronymics when they do that, so Ivanovich becomes Ivanich and so on. People younger than, like, fourty, usually don't do that and just use names if they know each other well. It's always good to double-check the spelling and pronounciation of specific everything (name, surname, patronymic/matronymic), because boy do they hold linguistic surprises. Thank you for reading, have fun, do your research, don't be afraid to try new things and ask questions!
#if you have any doubts or want an advice on naming a character I'd be happy to answer#But also I am not an expert by any means if you haven't noticed yet#I just. Live in ukraine. And talk to people. I finished school with decent grade in ukrainian. I'm no linguist or anthroponymist or smth#I'm just wery tired of seeing people with wrong surname endings everywhere and ever#It is wery confusing and usually looks like author didn't do their research#We all learn and that's okay so I wanted to share the knowledge that I have .)#east slavic culture#writing#writeblr#naming characters#naming help#writing help#ukrainian culture#russian culture#I won't add belorussian and rusyn tag bc I'm not that knowlegable about them#forest writes once a year

i saw someone asking you for help w/ their au, so uhhh
please help ;v;
my au is where basically a fire at an ichor refinery causes ichor clouds that block out the sun and cause a winter-ish state. i feel like it is very... similar to dandy's wasteland.
hm.
please help ;o;
Well i dont know much of dandy's wasteland but I've heard of it before so- I'll try
I think to symbolize ichor clouds, you can draw like really dark clouds in the sky that stays there all 24/7, no empty spots, just all clouds
Maybe you can make it so Dandy is like some sort of guide? Since in DWL he's literally forgotten by everyone and also that he knows more about ichor then most ingame
Have so everyone wears something to keep them warm from the cold obv and make christmas toons (if you ever add them) be immune since yk

(tumblr search is my enemy) Has anyone written about the way white enslaved characters are sympathetic and a flat representation of what slavery means, while non-white ones will have literal stereotypes thrust onto them while also portrayed as non-sympathetic?
#astarion v velanna from dragon age#anders is neurodivergent and wants liberation and the writer was biphobic in his writing so ig he doesn't count enough to be sympathetic#there's so much to say about my beloved Zevran but Latin Lover stereotype he remains even enslaved#stereotypes are bad ofc but the malicious part is the fact these are chattel slavery era stereotypes#somehow white authors are experts until it's a white character#Fenris is portrayed as animalistic ladkfj#rather than inspire thoughtfulness and sympathy for slavery irl cases like Astarion's actually uphold the white supremacy that created it#look at how little fandom gives a shit about the Roma they need to sacrifice for his power - even children (Roma were enslaved irl by Vlad)#look at how they treat Wyll who has a more overt enslavement under Mizora (don't get me started on the SA of Black men by white women)#I need an explanation Larian

How do I write a character that's an expert in astrophysical instrumentation?
Oh.
I guess I have to become an expert in astrophysical instrumentation.
Update: a mutual reached out and was like "here let me explain cosmic microwave background to you" and guys, we have the best fandom. Just, the best. I am crying.
