Commissioned the amazing @magua-vida to draw my original Princesses, The Dancer & The Dream! I'm absolutely delighted with how they came out, they both look so pretty and bursting with personality!

For anyone who doesn't want to click through, you get the Dancer if you unlock the Princess's cuff & die of a heart attack, making her flighty but concerned, fussing over your health & safety. The Dream is Dancer's unique Chapter 3, who you get if you fall asleep in the cabin with Dancer fussing over you, and is smotheringly protective to the point of aggression & possessiveness while acting manipulatively sweet & fragile.

She just wants to take care of you... even (or especially) if it means chaining you up to keep you safe.

grease struck me as the type so i got curious about hawthorne & calmo as well!

Of course! Some less than others, but they've all got some goofiness, intentional or not.

Hawthorn is a dork but usually, he'll follow MC's silliness when goofing off, such as MC gently splashing him when they walk beside a little stream in the woods or playfully tugging on the end of his fingers before he captures MC's wrist to return the gesture. Once he's more comfortable, he likes to put a leaf or two on MC's head. He'll sometimes watch MC walk right underneath a tree he's perched in and he'll toss an acorn at MC's shoulder to get MC's attention. He likes to hear MC's laugh and he eagerly turns an embarrassing moment into a funny one by playing into that stumble he just took by full-on falling to the ground and telling MC he has to kiss him back to life.

Grease is the gremlin. Though he can be a bit aggressive, he's not above licking MC's wrist just to hear a groan of disgust or sneaking up behind MC just to hear MC's breath catch in fright when MC already called out his name. He will listen to MC complain about coworkers or their work and say candidly "Want me to kill them/burn it to the ground?" and make MC laugh. He adores roughhousing with MC, and loves how MC fights back but is trying to hold back laughter or a smile because it's supposed to be serious. He tosses MC onto the couch and then playfully pounces before rolling them both onto the floor, and MC is laughing! He also teases MC the most, either with suggestive tones or genuine jests to hear MC's sharp retort.

Calmo is silly when he does not appear to be. He is the master of deadpan humor and it catches MC off guard when he makes a comment in his level voice and MC has to decide whether to chuckle or chastise him. His goofiness comes out when he gets little objects, anything from coins to dice to little beads, that he'll leave around the house for MC to wonder about and collect. Then he'll casually let MC know 25 have been found, but there are 13 more to go. Calmo will also purposely surprise MC by standing directly beside MC and startling MC with his unannounced presence. He claims it's not on purpose and MC simply is not paying attention, but MC swears a smile is pulling on his cassette mouth when he turns away.

Akhdkjvdkvsh this is the longest sweetest message I'm going to explode into butterflies thank you!!! ;-; I'm honestly really really glad people like my silly ideas and doodles for these guys, it feels like it's been a long time since I've been so excited to make stuff for a fandom and I'm so thankful for it. Your one from the other day about Killer and Nightmare giving him a chance to start a new life is so beautiful I swear it belongs in a museum. I love the way you draw Killer too, it's something about the expressions you give him and the way you draw the smudges from his eyes it's just, like I want to reach into my computer and touch your art! Also I went to your art tag to double check and I didn't realise you did the cosplay of Dust where you drew the eyes over it, I love that!!! I've never seen somebody do cosplay with drawing over it but it's so cool, especially with the kinda cartoony eyes you give Dust, it's such a cool idea! ^^

time's prophecy to 13 is like whatever, i generally dont really think abt it bc when i do it just feels a little like a contrivance to cut thasmin short, or more specifically to give 13 a reason to formulate why thasmin is getting cut short ie it just feels to me mainly as an in-universe way to say "hey so like we've got 3 episodes left theres not much we can do here"

but the other day i Was thinking abt it, or like it crossed my mind, that scene, that warning, that does little except verbalise to 13, with her own mouth, You Have No More Time

and i was like, thats actually like exactly what trauma does right? like that phenomenon where you are just convinced for no real concrete reason that youre dying within the next 1-5 years? i think i read that thats a ptsd thing once but idk. but you know the feeling, like, where youre stuck in the past and the future refuses to unfold? like it's just stuck. time is not moving forward. like there's a wall right in front of you and youre just like, im gonna walk into the wall. and maybe you feel like the wall is 1 year away or 5 but regardless, that 1 or 5 year can pass but the wall doesnt move. you know what i mean? like youre convinced you wont see your 20th birthday but youre actually already 25. just doesnt sink in.

i think thats what time's warning to 13 is. just the articulation of her own belief that shes running out of time. or that it had already run out before she even started. she starts her relationship with her companions with the assumption that it's temporary, even after they board for real: "you wont come back the same"

and if you look at it that way i think it's easier to deal with the jump from 13 to 14 or 15. not for yaz, obviously, shes still gonna be super upset abt it. but if 13 really genuinely entirely can not imagine the future that 14 has, can not imagine a future at all, like, it makes sense.

maybe she felt like she was dying but instead of the sentiment 10 expressed "some new man goes sauntering away and i am dead" she just stopped after the first sentence like "everything i am dies." stop. theres no After. theres nothing to imagine. theres no keeping yaz with her, theres no going back for her either. theres no continuation. theres no next. everything i am dies. and the world stops.

What Color Does Your Love Feel Like?

Nice breeze, bare feet and freshly cut grass. Your love is a lighthearted hope for the future. It's protecting your eyes from the sun but enjoying the light rays still, it's laying on the grass and feeling it tickle your neck. You look to the side and they look back at you, full of hope and plans too. You plan together and laugh all day and your sunburn will feel like them. Your love is delicate, hesitant. A well curated binder full of collages for a future you can't be sure will come, but you keep going, you keep planning, you keep squinting at the sun and smiling, and running your hands through the grass so it will smell better. You keep holding onto the bright sky even as the sunsets, even as the starry night stares back. But you keep on holding, you keep on dreaming, you close your eyes and feel the sun on your skin and convince yourself that the sunburn is good, it's something to hold on to, just makes it linger a bit longer. Your love is a lighthearted hope for the future. It's sweet and wonderful and it keeps love alive, makes the world a better place. You run your hands through the grass, clench your fingers tighter and keep making plans. And I can only thank you and hope I can learn to love like you someday.
