According to the Secrets of Auradon Prep tie-in book, AP runs on a rotating block schedule. Six periods per day, plus lunch. Pretty reasonable for a high school class schedule.

Homeroom once a week feels a little weird to me, but after an unofficial poll of some friends, it’s apparently not too uncommon for American high schools to only have it at the start of the week.

It’s sort of nice that the students get a study period every day, instead of having their free block/study block worked into the rotation with the rest of their classes.

In Mal’s Diary, we get another look at her schedule.

She’s in most of the same classes as the sample from before, but no chemistry class. Is Mal not interested in chemistry, or did Fairy Godmother decide it was more important for her to learn about evil fairies instead? Are there other “cultural history” type classes for other students, or did Fairy Godmother and whoever planned the class schedules for the other VKs just decide to pile on allll of the history/social studies classes for the VK to educate them in the ways of Auradon?

I think it’s funnier for me personally if Fairy Godmother received transcripts from Dragon Hall, looked at the VKs’ classes so far, and decided to say ‘fuck it’ on math and science classes, what these kids need is Auradon cultural education. Woodsmen, Fairies, Auradon History, and straight-up Goodness 101. One singular math class will take care of the rest, they’ll be fine.

Hey you! Have you seen this post by @pigswithwings? Do you like it? Do you like animation? Well do I have the news for you! With the author's permission and consultance, I am running a 5 minute animation short film on it, called "Angel back at home"!

Now, here's the most exciting news: We are looking for storyboarders, background designers, and 3 voice actors of all genders! Even better, you don't need to be a professional on any of those things whatsoever, only have some knowledge on them (and be of minimum age 16) to try and apply for the role!

Unfortunately, it is not paid, as for legal reasons we can not make profit out of it. Why should you join then, you ask? In this project we guarantee three things:

Portifolio building: Everything you will be producing, you can be using to add to your personal art portifolio, if this is a career you'd like to follow!

Resume: The short-film will be hosted on several film festivals, so you'll be able to put a big list of festivals your work was featured in, if you'd like to follow any art career. If not, the entire experience can be written in several bullet points on a resume ("experience with working in group", "experience of working within a deadline", etc) for any general job.

Advice and art growth: Every art that gets made on this project will be seen by me, the producer, and will be given advice for improvement. This is especially good if you've been on an art block, is self-taught, or overall would like a different perspective on your art. Don't worry, I'm not harsh!

Additional points is that it allows me to know new artists and new talents! From the last project I had run in this format, I had taken notice of 5 to 6 different artists that I hadn't known were so talented for their specific skills, which made me keep their names for the next project I'd produce. I am someone who dreams of opening an animation studio for new underrated talents and non-professionals that are studying to be professionals, so i'm looking forward to finding the artists on this project that will catch my eye and I'll bring over to the next project.

The timing is flexible since it is a volunteer ran project, if I can't pay I can't demand work hours of a job, so the deadline won't be too tight. For 5 minutes of film, the boards, voice acting, and single music will all in total take about 3 months, with the deadline starting in ferbuary and ending in the end of April. The following months will be given towards animation, sound editing and mixing, and video editing.

Requirements for storyboarders: Know how to draw, understand rule of thirds, enjoy drawing expressiveness through body language. You can be using any drawing device, whether that's computer, cellphone, or traditional, as long as you use the storyboard template in question and stay faithful to references.

[“As history has shown, and as I was at the time experiencing, a strap-on can be sexy, but it can also be a failure and a threat. It draws attention to how contradictory and fragile our definitions of male and female are, and how tightly we cling to them, even in relationships between women, where gender and sexuality are more flexible.

I think it’s important to look at how this played out, not just in the history of straight men policing lesbians but in the lesbian community policing itself. In the 1940s and 50s a bar scene began to develop in cities across the country, marking the first time when lesbians, particularly working-class ones, gathered publicly and in large numbers. During this time a butch/femme culture developed that included strict codes of dress and behavior both in and outside the bedroom. Butch women slicked back their hair, wore suits and jeans, and were, generally, the “givers” of sexual pleasure. Femme women wore dresses and makeup and were the “receivers” of sexual pleasure. In some ways, this culture was liberating, as it represented a powerful, cohesive group aesthetic and safety in numbers. Especially for women who actually identified as butch, it was also a chance to finally adopt masculine dress without being seen as failed or dangerous but rather as sexy and loveable. For others this culture was a trap, pushing women into restrictive sex and gender roles in the same ways heterosexuality had. It is by no means the only lesbian aesthetic, but I think part of the reason it has stuck around for so long in the popular imagination as the way lesbians are is because it allows straight people to again see themselves as the center of the sexual world.

In either case, strap-ons were not widely used, or at least not talked about. In Boots of Leather, Slippers of Gold, a book that documents the lives of Black and white lesbians in Buffalo, there is a pretty exhaustive set of interviews about sex acts and terminology, but no one mentions owning, liking, or even trying sex with a strap-on. Indeed, the one mention of a dildo is one of bewilderment as Vic, a self-identified butch, talks about her friend pulling her into the bathroom to show her the new strap-on she got. “Jesus, she whipped this thing out . . . I’m supposed to be butch and my face felt like a neon sign. I could feel the embarrassment. How do you admire a dildo? No seriously, what do you say?”

Butches in the book took great pride “in their own hands and their ability to please,” which “did not dispose them to think that a dildo would improve their lovemaking.” It’s interesting that they considered the dildo less potent and successful than hands. This could be read as displacing the power of the dick, but, coupled with the silence surrounding strap-on use, it also points to a greater fear about the lesbian body. How regulated and small it had to be to exist. How easily it could be diminished by something outside itself, or destroyed altogether.

In the lesbian radical feminist movement of the 1960s and 70s, there was also a great deal of attention focused on creating distance from dicks. Jill Johnston argued in A Lesbian Nation that the only true road to female liberation was the conscious “withdrawal at every level from the man to develop woman supremacy.” This meant that not only butch/femme dynamics but also penetrative sex were out. Anne Koedt developed the theory that the vaginal orgasm was a myth perpetrated by Freud in order to center male sexual desire for penetration, though her evidence for this was a study done by Kinsey—a man—that found the vagina was not particularly sensitive to touch. True orgasms, Koedt argued, only came from the clitoris—even though she interestingly also called the clit “the female equivalent of the penis”—so if women wanted to have enjoyable sex there was no need for penetration, only clitoral stimulation. Andrea Dworkin went so far as to call the penis “a hidden symbol of terror” and argued that “violence is male, the male is the penis.”

Dorothy Allison writes about the effects this had on herself and other lesbians at the time. “No one admitted to using dildos, wanting to be tied up, wanting to be penetrated, or talking dirty—all that male stuff . . . my lover wanted us to perform tribadism, stare into each other’s eyes, and orgasm simultaneously. Egalitarian, female, feminist, revolutionary.” In attempting to free themselves from the penis, in many ways radical lesbians ended up reinscribing the power of the dick and sacrificing the range of sexual pleasure they could experience in the process.

In a counter to this, the lesbian sexual outlaws of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s argued that dildos were actually great, not problematic, but primarily because they didn’t reference the penis at all. Some even argued that wearing a dildo turns a woman into a cyborg, not woman, man, or even human, just a body involved in the mechanistic movements of giving and receiving pleasure. While there is something freeing about this argument, as it gets us out from under the idea that we can’t talk about strap-ons and that a woman wearing a strap-on is only trying to make up for a never-ending lack, it still bypasses the sticky, complicated reality of the gendered/human world we live in and the simple fact that sometimes lesbians want strap-ons to look like penises.

Hello! I found this IF weeks ago and I've been loving it ever since 💕 I have some questions...

Let's just say that MC & RO are already married in this scenario and both of them decided to have kids... If so, what kind of parents would they be? And how many kids would the RO wants to have?

For how many kids, I don’t think any of the ROs really have any preference 🤔 But I suppose some would probably have higher tolerance or experience in living in a livelier house 😆

I can see Ash and Rin not really wanting too many kids; Ash because they are not that confident their ability to take care more than two kids and Rin has always wanted two kids at max.

Skylar and Santana are more open to have more than 2 kids. Skylar being an only child all their life would not mind having a livelier home and they like kids. Meanwhile Santana has experience in taking care of their two little siblings and they don’t really mind kids much.

As for what kind of parents the ROs would be…

Ash

They’ll be quite the protective parent in the sense that they’ll always be ready to fight tooth and nail to protect their kids from danger or harm (including bullies, so they and their parents better think twice because Ash would be ready to throw hands with both 😂).

But other than that, they’re actually pretty chill parent. They’re the kind of parent that the kid would go to ask for something because they’ll be more likely to say yes 😆 They’ll also always make effort to be interested in their kids’ hobbies or interests.

Rin

They’ll be the stricter parents compared to the other ROs. They do have certain expectations of their kids like doing well in school and taking their studies seriously (not slacking off or missing too many classes).

But they’re also a really understanding parent, will always encourage their kids to talk to them about anything troubling them or maybe just talk about other things in general. Rin has always been very mature and possessed great insight into people, and they’ll always be ready to give some sage advice to their kids.

Santana

They’re honestly probably the most normal parent in the sense that they’re very balanced and flexible. They will be strict when needed, but chill and understanding otherwise.

One of the most important things to them is to impart a sense of responsibility in their kids, so even if they ended up marrying MC and had much comfier and luxurious lifestyle, they’d still want their kids to be independent and capable of doing basic chores like doing laundry or cooking simple meals.

Skylar

Straight up the fun and outgoing parent. Similar to Ash, they’ll always make an effort to get into their kids hobbies and interests as well. They’ll try to make time to personally drop off and pick up their kids from extracurricular activities and encourage them in pursuing their interests.

They’re really doting and might be the most similar to Viktor out of all the other ROs. I’d say they’re like a mix of Viktor and Takashi 🤣 Gentle and caring like Viktor, but energetic and playful (to the point of childishness at times) like Takashi. Of course, the downside is they have a hard time being strict to their kids.

if this is 100% intentional and carefully placed subtext that will is realizing his feelings for mike …

then why can’t this be the same? i’m a full time film student, and i’ve taken production classes before. this isn’t the only existing take of this scene. whoever edited this episode, went through all the footage from the several takes of this shot that is barely a second long, and picked this one. the duffers saw this, considering they directed this scene, and approved. that’s the one. also, this is common knowledge, but in case it isn’t at first assumption: this is a kind of scene that has to be shot twice. they aren’t moving the camera between takes because it’s time consuming and inconvenient. instead they’d go through will’s shots first, then when the duffers are satisfied, they move on to mike’s shots. this also means they could scramble up and pick and choose each individual take to piece together for this scene so the most accurate depiction they want is being portrayed for the audience. if you look closer, you’ll notice that not only is mike looking at will’s lips very purposefully, but will looks at his at the same damn time.

if you’re asking me, as someone who mainly studies screenwriting, i wouldn’t be surprised if the shared lip glances were scripted.

moments like this can seem almost underwhelming or easily desensitizing simply because they’re quick and subtle actions. its kind of the same as watching a character on screen who is injured, yet pushing through the pain despite it. i guarantee the majority of people would believe they’d manage to do that if they were in that character’s position, because they themselves are not experiencing the same pain in the moment they’re watching, so therefore it’s easier to imagine yourself doing something when you’re not fully immersed in how it actually feels. it may not look like much to you, but to the actors, it is everything. every moment counts. they are not themselves, they are the character. if finn wasn’t meant to do that, and the lip glance was accidental, they wouldn’t have used that take.

the duffers have an advantage as well because there’s two of them. even if one happens to be guiding the camera, another can be watching the monitor—closely observing the scene, checking for technical malfunctions or imbalances (like if the camera moves weird or the mic is somehow visible in the shit or the lighting glares weird at a certain angle) environmental hazards or issues, and of course, the main event, the actors. (i’m speaking from my own experience in directing so it might be different on a professional set but still wanted to point it out).

i’m also suggesting this was scripted because as screenwriters our job is to give the actors a stability, understanding, and an idea of how their character is feeling while also offering plenty of comfort and space for flexibility for them to expand. even if the lip glances weren’t the direct descriptions, maybe “a hint of tension” was. (the duffers write this particular script too)

there’s so many rants i could go on, but the last thing i’ll suggest is that the duffers 110% sat the boys down before filming and talked them through a general idea of what mike and will might be starting to deal with in terms of each other. “your characters have been at each other’s hip since way longer than the show began, and now mike has a girlfriend and things between them just can’t be the same as they used to be.” and also “think about the last time mike and will interacted…”

There I was studying theater in New York in the 90s, completely inspired by the work of this unicorn -- carrying a picture of him in my wallet as a reminder that I had left home to develop as an artist, not fuck around. Olympic Class idea

Had a (non-canon) idea about the Olympic class - what if it could saucer separate...

The two parts of the ship

Sphere - holds the warp core & associated systems, nacelles, general engineering, bridge, crew quarters, and crew facilities

Module - Hospital that can be sealed off from the main ship (in case of contagions). It has a shuttlebay to receive medical shuttles, docking ports for ships. Also probably a lot of transporters.

Why separate? Sometimes a hospital must remain in orbit of a planet for quite a long time. Why not have the drive do something else in the mean time.

The Sphere could dock with other modules

Colony Module - carries all the colonists, supplies, construction material etc. When delivered to site, the module becomes an orbiting space station, providing docking and transporter systems for supply ships.

Cargo Module - either bulk freight, or specialised hazardous material such as Neutronic Fuel. Ships going "where no one has gone before" need resupply now and again in the field rather than turn around and head back home for supplies.

Science Stations - manned or unmanned, easier to build at a construction facility than on-site near that black hole you want to study

Sensor Pods - the Olympic sphere could accompany science ships with large mission specific sensor pods. Planet scanning MRI machines for example. [side note: this is what I think the Oberth has - a large uninhabited sensor pod. Held away from the ship due to dangerous emissions. It was meant to be scanning the entire planet, not just surface scans.]

With separation, the Olympic goes from a single purpose to a flexible multi-purpose support ship.

In these pictures, it looks as if the mount for the nacelles struts is resting on top of the long body module.

The original model blueprints for the ship model had different nacelles - perhaps the sphere section had an in-universe refit.

If you wanted to modernise / refit an Olympic ship, taking out the one ship does not prevent the modules beings used by another Olympic in the meantime.

Sirens, the mystical mermaids who are able to lure sailors towards rocky shores via their hypnotic singing, causing the sailors to crash into the rocky coast of their island, meeting a watery demise. But this is about one-tenth of who they are.

The very first sirens were the powerful jujutsu sorcerers who lived deep underwater. It was rumored that they could control not only humans, but also the cursed spirits. And this is why people were afraid of them. They were afraid of their powerful force, capable of bringing the whole world to its knees. That's why the Big Three Sorcerer Families united and went to war against the sirens.

The sirens were defeated. To avoid the destruction of their nation, surviving sirens made a binding vow. They vowed that neither they nor their relatives will never use their power against humans. In addition, they pledged allegiance to Big Three and became jujutsu sorcerers who protect non-sorcerers from curses.

Time passed and this story became a beautiful legend. With each generation, sirens' power dwindled a bit. However their clan was still very revered among jujutsu sorcerers, the children with powers were born less and less. Especially since siren's power could be inherited only by the female line.

One day, a beautiful girl with power was born in this clan, you.

Even though, there were high hopes for you, you were too bold, too free spirited to stay in the clan and withstand the rigorous training. You didn't want to follow the path the elders suggested. You wanted to see the world, to learn everything on your own and, more importantly, you wanted to marry for love, not to bear heirs from a man chosen by the elders. So you ended up fleeing to another country, Japan, and joining Tokyo Jujutsu Teach at the age of fifteen.

The elders were furious. They bossed and yelled and demanded a lot, they insisted on your returning, but... all for nothing. Because the friends, the teachers, all people around you already were deeply fond of you. They did their best to protect you. And, you know, with the heir of Gojo clan by your side, it was not so difficult to shut the elders up.

Nowadays you live a happy life with a loved one and work at Tokyo Jujutsu Teach as a homeroom teacher of second years. Your clan accepted the fact that you stayed in Japan and are not planning to turn back. They even proud of you, obviously, because you had made great strides. Becoming a first grade sorcerer and a respected teacher is something to be proud of. However, the elders always find a reason to scold you. Why your husband is not from your clan, for example. Not that they are bold enough to say this to the face of the strongest sorcerer of our time though.

Abilities and Powers

▣ Grade: Grade 1

▣ Overall Skill Level: As a member of siren clan who had to go through some grueling and punishing workouts over the years, everything from intelligence and physical prowess to the control of cursed technique - all at the highest level. However, when it comes to physical strength you falls behind your classmates and seniors. Since your cursed technique does not require physical training and special flexibility, you focused on studying and cursed technique practice. That's why you have a good grades in classes and CT lessons, but satisfactory ones in physical training.

▣ Cursed Technique: Siren Song

This cursed technique allows you to control the curses only by your singing. The reason why this does not extend to the humans lies in the binding vow of the first sirens. Because of them your generation can't use the powers on humans, be it sorcerers or not. However, since you are able to control the curses, they can help you to deal with curse users if you are in danger. Your cursed technique is very similar to Curses Manipulation, but using songs.

Since your relatives vowed to protect humans, you can use Reversed Cursed Technique on a very high level, not only on yourself, but also to heal other people. "The Song of Life" is the song that heals everyone who hears it. "The Song of Death" is the song that kills all curses around you depending on their grade. "The Song of Control" allows you to control the curses. When you were a high school student you were able to kill and control only 3 grade curses or weaker. But nowadays you can kill and control 1-2 grade curses too. It takes a lot of your powers though and it can lead to burning out and mental health issues.

The best way to gain strength after a difficult mission for you is sleeping. That's why you sleep a lot and feel much better after ten more hours of sleeping.

▣ Equipment: Loudspeaker

This is a very important thing for jujutsu sorcerer who has her voice as a main weapon. You always carry a portable speaker in your bag, because it helps you to reduce the load on the vocal cords. Whenever you want a lot of people and curses to hear you you, you also use the speaker.

Romantic Matchup: Gojo Satoru

♡ The first meeting with Satoru happened during your first-year when you joined Tokyo Jujutsu Teach as a new student. But even then, from the moment you two saw each other, you and Satoru immediately got along. You were on more calm and motherly side, aura of mystery you had around you was like a magnet for Satoru. The way you took care of him, of your friends, the way you were so shy and quiet at first (Satoru found this feature so adorable!), but then became more talkative and bubbly, all this attracted his attention. There was something about you that made Satoru feel comfortable next to you, as if he found a safe place, his own tiny sanctuary where Satoru could relax and forget about everything, place where he could be himself, just Satoru. And it made him feel giddy. Without realizing it, the strongest sorcerer of our time, Gojo Satoru, started developing feelings for you.

♡ Satoru in love was so silly and oblivious that it made Suguru and Shoko cringe. It was so obvious to them, Satoru was not good at hiding his feelings. They couldn't get near to you because you were entirely surrounded by Satoru. He was around you all the time with this huge lovesick smile on his face. He kept talking to you, ignoring everyone around him, as if the world around you two had vanished completely. Satoru was always true to himself, he still was cocky and sassy and annoying sometimes, but also silly, goofy, protective towards his loved ones and, more importantly, he was absolutely head over heels in love with you. The realization of his feelings took some time for Satoru, but as soon as his friends brought this truth to his mind, Satoru became still as a statue, completely dumbfounded. How couldn't he notice it?

♡ Satoru's confession was sweet and adorable, you still remember that day and keep teasing your now boyfriend in a loving manner. No matter how much Satoru wanted to show you only his cool side, but you were his first crush and he couldn't help but felt nervous in your presence. Especially when he realized his feelings for you, it turned his mind into a chaotic mess, filled with you. You noticed subtle changes in his behavior, that Satoru became more restrained, as if he tried to keep a distance between you two. He distanced himself, just a little bit, but enough to notice it. You didn't know it, but Satoru just tried to handle the strength of his feelings. He couldn't get used to those warm and fuzzy feelings for you.

His confession came when you sat on the bench after classes. Satoru approached you awkwardly, it seems like forever since the two of you hung out together. And Satoru felt bad that he made you wait so long. The way you gave him some space and never pushed him, it made Satoru feel more guilty, but also encouraged him to express his feelings.

"Hey," Satoru started, as he sat down beside you. "I've been wanting to say that for a while. I like you".

♡ So you and Satoru became Tokyo Jujutsu Teach sweethearts, the couple that makes your friends, your students and everyone around feel lonely. The way the strongest sorcerer turns into an embodiment of lovesick puppy whenever you are around, oh, this is so adorable. Satoru deeply, hopelessly in love with you and he doesn't even hide it. He showers you with shameless compliments that make your heart flutter, he spoils you with an affection, he would do anything for you. For you, his treasure, a person who accepts him for who he is, person who showed him what the true love is, a person who feels like home, oh, you even can't imagine how much you mean for Satoru. He likes the comforting aura you have that makes him feel at ease. He likes your playful and adventurous side, because it's always fun to be with you. He likes how caring and motherly you are, how much you helped him with Megumi and Tsumiki. Strange thing, Satoru was convinced that he will never want to have children, but every time he sees you take care of Fushiguro family or the students, Satoru gets a tiny baby fever. He likes how clingy and possessive you are from time to time, because Satoru feels the same way when it comes to you. Ah, there are so many things he likes about you, there is no end of his lovesick thoughts.

♡ After school you and Satoru started living together, you two also adopted animals and children and now look after them. Even though the both of you are busy with work as teachers and pro-sorcerers, you and Satoru often find time to spend together. This usually is cuddling on the couch and watching trashy tv shows. Every time you fall asleep on him, Satoru feels like he is ready to explode with overwhelming love he has for you. Just like you, Satoru likes playing video games and traveling. If it's possible, the two of you go on missions together and spend some free time sightseeing and trying new sweets. And, of course, you and Satoru take care of the students together. These children love you much more than Satoru though, they wonder why such a sweet and precious person like you choose their silly teacher. But every time they see how you two look at each other with such affection, their doubts fade away. Indeed, you and Satoru are match made in heaven.

Nanami Kento is a good friend of yours who also has a crush on you. The two of you met for the first time through your parents. Even though Kento is the only sorcerer in his family, his parents get along with yours, hold friendly meetings and visit each other's homes. And so you got to know Kento even before you joined Tokyo Jujutsu Teach. Ieiri Shoko and you have been the best friends since high school. Since the both of you were classmates and one of just a few girls, you and Shoko got along quickly and bonded over the fact that you two were reversed cursed technique users. The way you always were so sweet and caring with your silly classmates was something Shoko cannot understand about you. Why you chose Gojo of all people too. But every time she sees you and Satoru being lovey-dovey with each other, Shoko understands why, because the two of you are crazy about each other. It makes her a bit cringe, Shoko and Suguru like to tease you two about how in love with each other you two are, but they also can't help, but feel happy for you and Satoru. Shoko is constantly telling you that she'll deal with Satoru if he'd make you cry. Needless to say, that she is like a protective sister to you. She is always here if you want to ramble, she appreciates the fact that you always help her to heal the wounded people, she likes your personality, how deeply you care about the people around you. Jujutsu Teach Students absolutely adore you, their caring and kind teacher. They feel so blessed to have you. You always so kind to them, making sure that they are happy and taking care of them as if you are their mother. Since the most part of your students are orphans or have bad relationships with their parents, they appreciate your kindness more than you can imagine. Hard to single out any one student who likes you more than others, but since you took care of Megumi since he was a child, you became a real parental figure to him. Nobara likes spending time with you, especially when she found out that your hobby is tarot reading, she finds it very fun and asks you to tell her fortune. Background: Honestly up to the person writing/drawing since I hardly ever explore the starting point of Iyu and Kaneki’s relationship, it is always just a continuous thing. I have a bit of a structure below but it’s a bit gross and I would prefer seeing what other people come up with, it’s just there in case it helps someone with the dynamic

Sometimes it branches from the idea of her making a sort of deal in her own world to go to Kaneki’s. This is specifically a timeline where he’s more isolated than before and is living on his own. She tries to be upfront about the situation and offers some special information to stop him from going to the Anteiku raid (like his suicide failing), but she omits information that would make him realize the eventual effects of that decision would make it worth it in the end. Iyu worries immensely about Kaneki leaving her for others, seeing his other friends as people she couldn’t compete with. She has a general belief that others will always be chosen before her, and in most situations will just let people slip away for someone better, but Kaneki is very different. If she fumbles this one boy she will jump off of Skytree. After somehow convincing him that it’s in his best interest to keep her around, she spends her time making gifts for Kaneki and accompanying him when he is comfortable with it. They kind of just hang out. Initially Kaneki was thinking to kill Iyu, despite the information proving useful, but he couldn’t bring himself to do that to someone who “loved him” so he put off the decision until he just adjusted to her. Sometimes he gets angry with how pathetic she can be, and her weird refusal to stop liking him when she sees him get so low, but she loves him so genuinely and he was kinda lonely before so he’s a bit attached to the attention now so now they are bros. Iyu wonders what would happen if he knew the full truth about his original future.

thanks for the q! i have l3 ASD, so hopefully these tips will help you 🤍 first of all just wanna say you’re doing amazing for getting this far, higher education is not built for autistic people.

organisation - so so so important. find a planning system that agrees with your brain. for me, it’s a 365 page daily planner (i use a hobonichi cousin avec). but for you it could be notion, a bullet journal (developed by someone with ADHD, don’t be fooled by the pretty spreads online, the actual method is very basic/minimal), a standard weekly planner, Google calendar, the notes app on your phone, etc.

routine - we thrive on routine!! make sure to have a study routine in place so you don’t fall behind. i always like to stay at least one week ahead of the content, so i do the next weeks class reading the week before.

give yourself enough time - make sure to give yourself enough time to complete assignments. this means starting super early in the semester. you see a lot of discourse online about doing assignments the night before it’s due, but this really won’t work for most autistic brains (maybe if you also have raging ADHD it might, but autism needs time).

disability support - if your uni has a disability office, reach out to them to see if you are eligible for any accomodations. accomodations i have include it being easier for me to get extensions, class attendance flexibility, extra time on quizzes & exams. these are the main ones i use every semester to keep me going.

generally, it’s better to do a little bit everyday then leave it all to the end. 2-4 hours a day, consistently, is better then a random 10 hour day that leaves you burnout for the next week.

i hope this is helpful. i can’t really give subject specific advice since i study in the social sciences and im not sure what you study, but i hope this is somewhat helpful even if it’s a bit general

I think accommodations, laws, etc can vary greatly depending on age, school, and country (like you said) but a few that might be helpful are:

Designated note taker/provided notes or study guides/recorded class sessions

Flexible attendance requirement (like if a class normally punishes missed classes, that can be waived)

Extended exam time/ alternative testing environment (not testing with the rest of the class, testing at home, having extra time to test)

Alternative or minimized assignments, as long as mastery is shown (for example, if the teacher normally assigns 50 math problems, they only give you 20, as long as you get them correct)

Use of technology for assignments when it helps with any fatigue or mobility issues (like if it is more comfortable to type versus write assignments, or have an e-book versus carrying a textbook, or have a speech-to-text software if writing is painful)

Flexible seating and adjustment to environment (seating near the door if you often have to leave, a different type of seat if you have mobility devices that are difficult to access when sitting at a traditional desk, access to an elevator, use of non-LED lights)

Blanket permission to leave the classroom to go to the bathroom, nurse, guidance, etc without raising your hand/requesting a pass

Permission to have a cell phone out and accessible to converse with a medical professional, access medical monitoring devices, etc

Depending on your illness some of these may be wildly unhelpful but these are the most common ones I see! In most schools, you would just need to have a meeting with the school (and a parent/gaurdian) if you are underage) and bring a doctor's note to get these accommodations. In public schools in the US, you would be given what is called a '504' which is a plan legally requiring teachers to give you these accommodations.

OOOOOOO I HAVE SO MANY AKIRA HCS

-Unbelievably flexible due to being part snake, basically contortionist levels of flexible. Of course as he gets older it gets difficult being flexible cause bro does NOT stretch

-HUGE party boy. Hes all about the club scene and raves and all the loud events. He’s always got “yolo” mentality and cause of it he’s always more optimistic than his brother Sano.

-A druggie. He takes shit he doesn’t even know the name of, partially cause he’s reckless and partially cause he doesn’t care. There have been a couple close calls but Sano is usually there to bring his bro away from the light. He’s more of a coke and pill person, it’s just easy to do in the club or behind his DJ booth. Not to mention the pacifiers around his neck help with the teeth grinding.

-Dude is a fiend for zombies. Like he loves zombie based video games and horror movies. Because of this Sano never leaves his doll around Akira. Infact the only interaction Akira has with Sano’s patient is just sliding food underneath the door for them.

-Akira has to dress Sano whenever they go clubbing cause Sano has such blah taste in fashion. Sano is not a particular fan of having to wear ridiculously tight latex pants. Akira hopes by dressing Snao to attract people Snao won’t have Akira go “baiting” for new patients.

-Him and Annabelle trauma bonded over Sano’s mistreatment. Although when Annabelle saw an escape she greatly seized it, breaking Akria’s heart when she ditched them with a little Akano to care for. He reallly did love Annabelle :(

-His room is a pigsty. Sano had to make Akira out sheets on his mattress. There’s energy drink cans lying around, condoms, pills, and lord knows what else. Every now and then he cleans it so he can bring girls over, which doesn’t happen often since Sano does NOT enjoy greeting his one nightstand in the morning when he’s trying to make breakfast.

-Akira is a huge nightgowl. That ain’t eyeliner under his eyes, those are BAGS honey. He still somehow manages to make it to class. He majors in music studies!

-(This one involves some lore) Despite being far away from the circus him and Sano grew up in, he can still do circus tricks. He can still juggle and acrobatic tricks, but knife throwing makes him so anxious cause of the incident with Sano.

-Works out a fair bit, by the time he’s graduated college he’s gone from skinny scene twink to BEEF CAKE scene raver. He’s much more about weight lifting and them gains

-Akira use to have a YouTube channel he filmed on a crappy digital camera. He would upload prank videos and challenges and try and get famous (didn’t really work too well). He also had a MySpace where he’d upload photos he’d take in the club.

-His favorite color is red and black, but he also likes a good rainbow. He’s all about bright and eye bleeding colros!

-Akira has two tattoos. A snake tattoo on his arm that’s of a blue and red snake (to symbolize him and Sano) and an exploding cherry on his hip that says “Cherry popper” (you can guess why it says that).

-Not only does bro have snake bites, he also has a tongue piercing, a couple ear piercings, nipple piercings, a naval piercing, and of course, a Jacob ladder’s and Prince Albert combo

-He has a towel specifically for dying his hair. Sano once got so pissed Akira ruined the nice pristine white towels so Akira has his own designated towel. Sano is still made he got red dye all over the sink and bathtub. Akira now rinses his dye in the backyard with a hose…
