ok i just wanted to be able to talk about how the process was with this and how i feel about the results and whatnot...

ive been wanting to make a google slides visual novel since i was like 13 LOL it hit the point where i was repeatedly told i should just learn to code but i was like NOOOOO ITS GOTTA BE GOOGLE SLIDESSSS which is totally stupid but hey. i think that gives it some sort of simple charm that reminds me of being 16 and doing little projects in my room LOL i like working with the easiest tools . my bad

anyway. im just very happy LOL. it's not perfect but i feel like i came full circle in a sense?!?! i've been into creepypasta since i was 9 and it comforted me when things were really hard, and when i was 18 i was going through a really hard time and got back into creepypasta as a way to distract myself. i've always had a habit of throwing myself into fiction for escapism when things suuucked.

i'm 20 now but i've met SO many amazing people, had so many fun awesome exciting projects with friends, created tons of stuff im proud of, felt more motivated to create since i was like 13, have been inspired by so many amazing artists/authors on here, etc. just so so so lucky to find community in such a tight-knit cute fandom that thrives off of creativity and playing around! i hope i can keep the momentum and make a couple more chapters this year, but im kinda busy with school and work...LOL . i'm just excited to have this posted so i can have more discussion about it T_T

Bucky could trust Steve ever since he began to remember him. That's why he went to him four months after leaving Hydra.

But during the time he's been with the Avengers, the hold that Hydra had on him continued to linger. Throughout the time he's been with the Avengers, trying to get better, there were a few slip ups when he would revert to The Winter Soldier persona.

That was until he met you.

Tony had brought you after meeting you when you saved his life with your special weapon that impressed him. Your dice that affects your opponents based on what the number it landed on. One could either blind people enough for you to take them down or six that can send people flying back and cause the room to burst into flames.

Not to mention you were an excellent fighter and held a bachelors and Masters in computer science and information science. Along with a minor in physics. So Tony brought you in.

That was three months ago. Three months since you've joined the Avengers. Three months since you've met Bucky and became close to him. Three months since Bucky did everything he can to make sure he didn't show up again.

It was your free week after a mission. A week to recover. And you wanted to get your favorite pasties as a reward for being able to get the mission done sooner than estimated.

"Are you sure you have to have these pastries?" Bucky asked you as you were getting ready to head out.

"Yes. I've been wanting them all week and I am going to get them. You can come with me if you'd like," you offered.

"We were comfortable on the couch," Bucky tells you with a small pout.

"It's just a fifteen minute walk. I will be back soon," you smiled at him.

You got into the elevator before pressing the button.

"What do you want by the way?" You asked him.

"Surprise me," Bucky tells you with a soft smile.

"Ooh! Okay," you say excitedly as the doors closed.

You had been gone for an hour. No texts from you, no calls. Nothing. Bucky grew worried. And then he appeared.

"Где она? (Where is she?)" Steve heard. Steve quickly turned around to see Bucky standing behind him. Sam looked up from his phone as he noticed the sudden change in Bucky.

"Friday, alert everyone and let them know we have a Code Snow," Tony says calmly to prevent The Winter Soldier from being provoked.

Everyone looked at The Winter Soldier as they got ready to fight him just in case. No one knew what triggered him.

"Bucky. You're okay. It's me," Steve says. The Winter Solider stared at him with a dark look.

"Hey guys! I'm back! Sorry it took so long. Line was super long and my phone died while I played Candy Crush," you say, walking out of the elevator with the to go bag from the bakery shop.

"Y/n! Stay back!" You heard. You looked over to see everyone in a defensive position.

"What's wrong?" You asked confused. You looked over at Bucky who stared intensely at you. As if he was on a mission to protect you.

"Bucky? Is everything okay?" You asked, taking a step closer to him.

"Y/n, I wouldn't do that," Steve advised, stopping you in your tracks.

"What? Why?" You asked confused, looking over at Steve.

"He's back to his Winter Soldier mindset," Steve said.

"His what?" You asked confused. Your eyebrows furrowed, not understanding what he just said.

"Did Bucky not tell you about when he was under control by Hydra?" Steve asked you.

"He was part of Hydra?" You asked confused and in shock.

"Did you not read the files I gave you?" Tony questioned. A mixture of upset, annoyed, and confusion mixed in his tone.

"I... may have just skimmed through them," you admitted, looking away so you didn't have to look at him in the eye.

"Just come here," Tony said before grabbing your wrist.

Before Tony could pull you back to everyone else, Bucky quickly grabbed Tony's arm. Bucky pulled you back to him before throwing Tony back. Luckily, Steve quickly caught Tony.

"Bucky! No!" You yell, grabbing his right arm. He looked back at you before cupping your face.

"Ты в порядке? (Are you okay?)" The Winter Soldier asked you. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"I don't speak Russian," you tell him.

"Are you okay?" The Winter Soldier asked you again in English.

"I'm fine. But you shouldn't have done that! Tony could've gotten seriously hurt!" You yelled at him.

"He grabbed your wrist," The Winter Soldier pointed out, remaining calm as if nothing had happened.

"But he didn't hurt me," you tell him. "Please. Don't fight them. Let us help you get back to normal."

You stared up at The Winter Soldier with a look. The Winter Soldier stared at you before giving you a nod. He stood behind you as you looked at everyone else.

"What do I do now?" You asked nervously.

"Huh. That's new," Sam said.

"Y/n, can you lead him to the lab? We need to see something," Bruce asked you.

"Okay. Um, Bucky?"

"I'm not him," The Winter Soldier tells you.

"Okay. Um what do I call you?" You asked.

"Солдат. (Soldier)"

"I'm sorry. What?" You asked.

"Soldat," The Winter Soldier corrected. But this time, he said it slower and in a way you could understand.

"Soldat. Follow me," you tell him as you followed Bruce to the lab.

You stayed next to Bucky as he sat down for Bruce to look over at him.

"Interesting," Bruce says.

"What?" You asked.

"He seems more calm when it comes to you. Before you got here, his levels were high. But now, he seems more stable around you," Bruce tells you.

"Oh. That's good?"

"I would like to try something out if that's okay?" Bruce says.

"Okay."

"Go to the training room," Bruce says.

"Do I need to change?" You asked.

"No. But just know, this is a test," Bruce tells you.

"Okay," you nervously say.

You and Bucky walked into the training room while Steve, Tony, Sam, and Bruce watched from the side.

"Y/n, remember. This is a test," Bruce tells you.

You looked at him in confusion before seeing one of Tony's training bots walk over with a knife.

"Target acquired," the robot said as it walked over to you with a knife.

It tried to attack you but you quickly dodged it. The Winter Soldier quickly grabbed the bot but it's head with his mental arm before crushing it with his hand. You looked at The Winter Soldier as he looked over at the four. He began to walk over to them, ready to attack them.

"Soldat! Stand down!" You yelled.

The Winter Soldier stopped as you rushed over to him. He looked down at you, making sure you were okay.

"I'm okay," you tell him.

"Okay. Y/n, stand here with us and Steve, you go in," Bruce tells you both.

You walked over to Bruce and Tony as you watched Steve and the Winter Soldier stand in the middle of the room. Another bot attacked Steve but The Winter Soldier didn't do anything, he stood near you, as if he was protecting you. Tony controlled the bot to come towards you but The Winter Soldier quickly stopped it. Crushing it as he did with the one before.

"Okay. It's clear to say that he's only going to protect Y/n."

"What do I do now? When will Bucky be back?" You questioned.

"Usually we keep him contained until Bucky reverts back. But if he's not letting anything or anyone hurt you, then there is a chance he could be okay to roam around as long as you're with him," Bruce says.

"Is that a good idea?" Sam asked.

"We can give it a shot. And if something goes wrong, we'll keep hm contained until he reverts back to Bucky," Steve said.

"I'm willing to try it," you tell the boys.

"Are you sure? You saw what he can do to my bots," Tony asked.

"I'll be okay. And if something goes wrong, I'll call you guys," you tell them.

"Keep this with you," Tony said, handing you a small remote with one button on it. "If he starts to hurt you, just click it and we'll rush to you."

"Okay. Thank you," you say. You looked back at the Winter Soldier who stayed nearby, staring at you.

"I am feeling hungry so come on. I'm gonna make some lunch," you tell The Winter Soldier. He nodded as he followed you out.

Throughout the day, The Winter Soldier stayed close to you. While everyone kept their distance (mostly in fear that The Winter Solider would attack them if they got too close to you), you seemed to be fine with The Winter Soldier lingering near you.

"I'm going to bed. Goodnight everyone," you say as you walked over to your room. You noticed The Winter Soldier stand by your door as you grabbed your pajamas.

"Oh right. Soldat, you can go to your room. I'm just gonna shower and sleep," you tell him.

"Я должен остаться здесь на случай, если у тебя возникнут проблемы. (I must stay here in case you are in trouble)," he tells you.

"English please. I don't speak Russian," you remind him.

"I must stay here in case you are in trouble," he tells you.

"Um okay. I'm just gonna shower and change really quickly," you tell him before walking into your bathroom. You closed the door and locked it before turning on the shower.

After the shower, you changed into your pajamas before blow drying your hair. You walked out of the shower to see The Winter Soldier sitting on your bed.

"Do you need to shower or change into your clothes as well?" You asked.

"I don't need to."

"If you're gonna stay here you're gonna shower. Come on," you tell him before walking out of your room. You led him to his room which was as bare as when you joined the Avengers. You took out his spare clothes before handing them to The Winter Soldier.

"Go shower. If you want, I'll stay out here until you finish," you tell the Winter Soldier. Bucky nodded before walking in the bathroom. You lied on his bed, feeling yourself grow comfortable.

The Winter Soldier walked out of the bathroom in his new clothes to see you asleep on his bed. He turned off the lights for you before sitting on a chair, watching you sleep.

You could feel him watching you, making you slightly wake up.

"You know, that's really creepy," you yawned. "Just come into the bed. You're gonna give me nightmares.

The Winter Soldier sat on the bed, staring at the door, waiting for anyone to come in. You pulled in down onto the bed, making him lie down. The Winter Soldier looked at you as you slept soundly, facing him. He moved his hand, placing it on top of yours.

Bucky had been avoiding you ever since you both woke up in his bed after he reverted back from the Winter Soldier. No matter how hard you tried to talk to him, he was good at hiding away.

"Did I do something wrong?" You asked Wanda and Natasha.

"What do you mean?" Natasha asked.

"Bucky has been ignoring me for the past couple of days. I've tried talking to him but he keeps avoiding me," you pouted.

"You didn't do anything wrong. I think Bucky's embarrassed. I'm surprised he didn't tell you about The Winter Soldier," Wanda said.

"Is it cause I'm new?" You asked.

"You can't be that clueless," Natasha tells you.

"Clearly I am because I don't know what you're talking about," you continued to pout.

"He didn't want you to know because he likes you."

"What? What do you mean?" You asked, sitting up.

"Come on. Ever since you've joined, Bucky has been by your side. If he's not with Steve or Sam, he's with you. And even on missions, he's by your side or close nearby," Natasha says.

"He could just be friendly. Last time I thought someone liked me, they were just being nice and I felt embarrassed and never showed my face to them again," you admitted.

"Bucky is different. He likes you and it's easy for us to see that but you," Wanda says.

"But do you like him?" Natasha asked.

"Yes. He's tall, handsome, he's nice to me and I will admit, it was kinda hot seeing him all protective," you admitted.

"Go talk to him. He should be done with training by now," Natasha tells you. You nodded before getting up to find Bucky.

You found him walking to his room which you quickly caught up to him.

"Bucky. Can we please talk," you asked.

"I have to shower," Bucky says, still trying to avoid you.

"Fine then. I'll make it quick. I like you. And I don't care if you're still struggling with dealing what Hydra put you through. I want to help you anyway that I can. Because that's how much I like you. I like you for who you are. And you're just gonna have to deal with that," you tell him.

Bucky stared at you, surprised at your confession, as you stared at him.

"And now I am going to go because building up that confidence was a lot of energy and if you don't like me back, then that's fine. I just wanted you to know that I like you," you tell him before quickly turning around to leave.

You sat alone up on the roof as you stared out at the city. This was a long way from home but at least the view was nice to look at. You heard someone clear their throat, turning your attention over to them. You found Bucky standing nearby with a pastry box that had a slice of your favorite flavored cake.

"What's that for?" You asked.

"It's an apology cake slice. I'm sorry I've been ignoring you the past couple of days," Bucky said, handing you the cake.

"Thank you for the cake. Please be honest, did I do something wrong?" You asked him, putting the cake next to you.

"You did nothing wrong. It's mostly me," Bucky says as he sat down with you. "To be honest, I really like you too. But I was afraid you would get hurt by The Winter Soldier. Then when I woke up and you were in bed with me, I was afraid he or I took advantage of you.

"Well just to be clear, you didn't. And if you want, we can start things off slowly. I really do like you Bucky," you offered.

"I'd like that. I really do like you too, Y/n and I don't want to ruin anything between us. Believe it or not, you're the only other person I'm comfortable here with," Bucky tells you. You smiled at him.

"I'm comfortable with you too," you tell him.

"Are you doing anything tomorrow?" Bucky asked.

"Not really. Why?" You asked.

"Well, I was thinking, would you want to go on a date? We can go to Coney Island and grab some dinner. Or we can just take a stroll around Central Park," Bucky suggested.

"I like any of those. I've never fully experienced Central Park and I haven't been to Coney Island yet so surprise me," you tell Bucky.

"Alright. Will do," Bucky smiled.

"Do you want to stay here with me and stare out the city? It's one hell of a view," you say.

"I'd like that," Bucky says.

You scooted closer to Bucky before leaning your head on his shoulder. Bucky put his arm around you as you both stared out at the city.

I’m very sorry for the length of the update. It’s very short, but I decided to divide the chapter in three so I’m at least publishing something. I’d like to continue with this format so I can get feedback before I get too far in a chapter. At least for now, since I’m very new to this, I want to take things slowly.

I was happy with the content when I finished writing it, but when I coded it I felt it wasn’t too good. I’m specially worried about the MC being too flat. I want them to be very customizable, someone whose background and personality isn’t set in stone, so you can roleplay more freely. Of course, there are many limitations, and sometimes I feel they can come off as boring. In the future, I want to pay attention to this, and see how I can balance customization and make them an interesting character at the same time.

Anyway, I’m open for your feedback as well. The purpose of making a demo, for me at least, is to be able to hear your opinions and change whatever I must to make it better. All the updates are subject to change. So feel free to send me not only bugs and errors, but also your subjective thoughts (link to the google form).

Lastly, I want to apologize for how long it took me to update the demo, and sadly the next update will also take some time. I’m starting college literally now and that is my priority. I will continue to work on The Threshold, of course, but the time I have will be way more limited than before. I hope you can be patient with the progress.

I know my fellow artists and creators have been frustrated with the rise of AI on Pinterest and Google.  Many of us find it difficult to serch for good references, tips, and general inspiration for art.  So I want to share my collection of good, free websites for artists, designers, film makers, and creators so we can create without ugly AI images staring in our faces 🙌

Sketchfab

An incredible source for references.  Has a huge collection of 3D animals, architecture, interior rooms, vehicles, food, objects, furniture, nature, memes, characters, etc etc etc. You can literally find several insanely detailed 3D models of the Notre Dame (this one is insane) Models can rotated at any angle as well as zoomed in and out.  You can also change the view of the model to be matcap with flat, colorless planes, wireframe, or base color as opposed to fully rendered.  

Cons: there are many uploads that are random and incredibly specific, which overwhelms the search.  Can be excellent for game designers who want to download models but for artists looking for drawing references, you might have to dig a bit for what you want.  Can be so fun for playing around and using crazy fun references for practicing.

Designspiration

As a photographer and graphic designer and someone who can doomscroll on pinterest forever, this is my favorite for finding inspiration for everything: typography, logos, product mockups, illustration, photography, web design, etc.  Has an amazing feature where you can search for art with specific hex codes!  Probably the coolest feature I’ve seen in search engines, and by far superior to google's color search. This site is mostly for design inspiration, but I feel like if you are super into moodboards, then this is the site for you too especially with the beautiful selection of photography.

Cons: I have no cons, I love this website so much and I used to be addicted to pinterest (still am actually😬) but this is easily my new favorite

Public Works by Cosmos 

Thousands of artworks enter the public domain every year, and this website is a search engine for other 100,000 of those copyright free works.  All of these works are free to edit, use, and sell with few restrictions.

Cons: I personally find the layout for the search feed a bit frustrating to look around in sometimes, because it’s not the typical "scroll up and down" website. But is very dynamic and overall fun to explore.

Same.energy 

This is a good visual search engine that’s a good replacement for Google images and Pinterest.  The minimal words makes it simple and easy, and clicking on an image you like to filter the feed to find similar images.

Cons: this is in beta so it still have some kinks to work out. It seems to struggle with specific searches and some of the images brought up in the search can be repetitive or not relevant.  

Reference Angle

A website for finding face references in any specific angle and any expression for any gender and age.

Cons: I would love this website more if it gave you the ability to customize the light source, but sadly is not an option.  I also feel like there is not a lot of racial diversity in the photos, and some of the images do not match the specific angle. But it is overall a great source for face references

Virtual Lighting Studio by zvork

A good source for light studies.  You can change the source, direction, color, and brightness as well stacking several light sources on top of each other.  

Cons: there isn’t a way to angle the face or change the expression, so it is permanently in portrait mode.  There are four different models and I’m not the biggest fan of some of them…I like the black guy the best because he looks at me kindly instead staring into my soul like the two white guys. The ads are also a bit obnoxious and for the love of god DO NOT USE IN MOBILE!!!  The ads are impossible to get rid of.

Film Grab

An archive of stills from a huge list of movies.  Good for film makers, photographers, art studies, moodboards, inspiration, etc. Has a huge selection of movies and you can search by movie, director, costume designer, aspect ratio, year, genre, and country. You can also hit random post and it'll give you a random movie, which I think is really fun.

Cons: I do not recommend mobile. The mobile does not have the option to search for a specific movie, so you're forced to scroll through the giant A-Z list of directors or films to find the specific film you were looking for.  Another con that I just discovered: a big-ass ad on the top of the website that occasionally advertises AI websites 🤢 (not shown on the screenshots I shared because ew)

Another image search website that has the feeling of Pinterest

Cons: some images are locked for premium only, and the feed is a bit frustrating to scroll through on mobile since they show the images one at a time instead of as a nice collage like pinterest.  Some images can also be irrelevant to the search.

Do you have a good source of photos of Afro-Indigenous folk? Google is Rough to look through (to say the least). I’m writing a fantasy novel and my “elf” adjacent group is a mix of northern Indigenous America, central Africa, and far north/Arctic influences (the continent stretches from equator to “Arctic”). I’d like to make sure my descriptions are accurate.

With that, I have a second question/issue(?)-The “elves” have been around for millennia, so there are also different skin/hair/eye colors based on the individuals location because it’s a large region. I don’t feel like that in itself is an issue, but I’m also white, so POC input is very welcome. My knowledge is mostly based in animal sciences, so, for instance, the people descending from the north are much lighter, white skin and hair with light eyes (I don’t want to say white because there’s still a lot of indigenous coded stuff?), while the southern descendants are dark skin and dark hair (visually afro-indigenous). Now, I know this can be an issue with mixed folk, like my mc that i developed years ago, whose mother is from the southern region and father is of the northern. Right now in my head she is Black, but… white hair (3B-3C texture) and blue eyes like her father. I know. I don’t plan on having this be a Special Thing that just she has, but I know it’s still an iffy subject. Should I change her look?

Well the thing is, "Afro-Indigenous" isn't gonna have a specific look because Black and Black biracial people don't just look One Way. So you could really just... look up Black people. But what will help your search is getting specific. Which groups do you want to reference (Black Cherokee Freedmen? Seminole? I'm not sure if there are Black Inuit, but, Inuit 🤷🏾‍♀️) Is there symbolism or clothing you should consider (and also avoid‼️) or language that will key me into what culture is being referenced?

There are people FAR more informed than I that could explain this better so don't quote me, but I'm not sure you're using "Afro-Indigenous" correctly based off the question. E.g., I don't have to specify that a Nigerian in Nigeria is "Afro-Indigenous" for them to be both Black and indigenous to their homeland. They would already be indigenous. So again, get specific with what groups you want to reference.

I wanna gently check the idea here that "northern" implies the presence of light eyes, because it is kind of racist. No. 😅 While I get we're mammals, we're not polar bears- you really ought not compare your knowledge of people to "animal sciences".

Me personally, the white hair + blue eyes Black person is a played out design, so if it were ME I'd change it, but you can do it if you'd like. I think overall though, I would get more specific about what you mean by "indigenous coded" and your expectations and understanding of that.

Hi Kristi! I'm sure youve already had similar asks but I cannot for the life of me find them. I was wondering how you learned code for your IFs and in general. Did you start with interactive fiction or did you already have an introduction to coding previously? Thanks

Long story short, I took a template (I have a few linked on my itch.io page; I personally used the one from @/cerberus-writes), analyzed it and customized it based on what I understood. It was a lot of trial and error, with a ton of Google searches, but I was so determined to make it my own and stop using Choicescript (which yes, is what I started out with) that I pushed through any difficulties.

To be quite honest, I don't think I could do something like that again, but hey, this goes to show that if you put your mind to something, it can happen.

I've answered a few other asks like this (this is probably my most in depth response to it), but I usually just say that you need to play around with things. If you need more structure, you can always do (free) courses on CodeAcademy or The Odin Project but those mostly show you the basics of the HTML/CSS language, and not necessarily how to construct something you're happy with.

Protect the Child: Digital Glitch

It was supposed to be a simple job. Get in, get a sample, get out, don't get caught. You didn't expect there to be a kid, locked up in a room like a mouse in a box. She says the corpos stole her away from her parents and stuck her full of needles. Now she's in your arms, hands over her ears while the alarm blares, and security drones are blocking your every exit. What do you do?

Digital Glitch is a new, cyberpunk setting for Protect the Child. It includes 7 pre-written characters, all members of a group of cyber-runners, criminals who go on high-stakes jobs to rob the mega-corporations called zaibatsus in order to keep themselves alive. Unfortunately, the lab they were attempting to rob also happened to hold a girl, whose genetic code has gave her super-senses and a hyper-sensitive nervous system after IrisLabs tried a new experimental procedure.

You need the rules for Protect the Child in order to be able to play this game, but right now, since PtC is in playtesting, the rules are free!! Currently downloading the game gives you access to a Google Sheets play-kit. There is also a pdf in the works to be released at a later date.

This play-set was designed for both the Kiwi Jam 2024, and the Dice Exploder Pregen Jam. It's list of inspirations include Hamixh Cameron's The Sprawl, Cory Doctorow's Unauthorized Bread, and ZebraMatt's 24XX Dire Pulse. It contains themes of Infertility, Exploitation, Police Violence, Capitalism, Disability, and Medical Horror.

These are all the notes I took during panels on the second day of the Salute to Cobra Kai convention:

Gianni DeCenzo

- “I’ve got muscles somewhere. There in there somewhere”

- “Demetri has some serious game”

- Gianni had a protective harness in the scene where he gets kicked in the balls and as soon as Khalil learned about that, he said he was going to try as hard as possible to break it

- Eli and Dem were both socially awkward and loners and they met and were platonic soulmates. He imagines that they met at coding camp and that’s where they became best friends

- Gianni said he would want an edible arrangement is someone broke his hand and compared Tory in that scene to Emperor Palatine

- Jacob and Gianni are trying to write every week and are trying to write movies or shows but they keep getting distracted

- “What 16 year old has premium yelp status? It’s Demetri and that’s it.”

- I asked what aspects/arcs Gianni wish could’ve been explored and he said prior to season 6, he would’ve said I wish we saw a more bad boy side of Demetri. He acknowledged how when Demetri decided he was going to be a “cool kid”, he just changed his hairstyle just like Hawk because that’s the only other person who’s really made that switch. (“Oh yeah a new haircut. I’m gonna do the same thing. That’s definitely what I was missing”)

- He mentioned how he liked that Demetri never really compromised on who he was as a person even as he did get better at karate

- They referred to Demetri and Hawk as a toxic, abuse relationship whenever they were asked about Hawk breaking Demetri’s arm

- He improvised “That felt good. Bitch!” because it felt like a Kyler thing to say and he wanted Demetri to stoop down to Kyler’s level

- The cast that Gianni wore in s3 was a real cast from a doctor, and the art department team would seal his arm up in it with extra plaster between scenes

- He neither confirmed nor denied a binary brothers spin off and said he would love to come back to play Demetri

- Gianni said he would’ve beaten up Demetri too because of how much he mentioned MIT in season 6

- Gianni imagines that the Binary Bros go off to college and become millionaires

- “As long as he has his binary bro, it will all work out”

- Demetri has come to really love karate and he’ll likely always to karate on some level

- When Demetri sold Johnny the phone, Billy flicked a bottle cap at Gianni and it almost broke a camera

- Favorite scene to film was the weapon demonstration in s4. He trained for 3 months to do 2 takes in the scene. At one point, the weapon flew out of his hand but he managed to catch it so it looked like he knew what he was doing

- Kyler was originally supposed to break the cinder block with his fist and despite everyone telling him not to hit it with his face, Joe Seo immediately decided to as soon as they called action

- Demetri likely googled “which dojo would hurt me the least” to decide which he would join and that in combination with the fact that it was free, he choose Miyagi Do

- “I don’t think Demetri would last if he stayed in his [Johnny’s] class”

Alicia Hannah-Kim, Martin Kove, & Yuji Okumoto

- “Out of Kwon, Hawk s3, and Johnny in KK, who is made out of the most Cobra Kai material?” and they all said Kwon

- Yuji described his and Kim’s relationship as fireworks. They’re kinda cut from the same cloth but it’s also kinda like adding gasoline to a fire, it’s an explosion

- If Sato returned in the series, it would be a very interesting dynamic because their relationship would’ve changed a lot.

- Kim would likely be devastated by Kreese’s death

- Martin Kove would like to play Tory if he had to choose anyone else and Yuji said he would either play Johnny or Hawk. Alicia said she’d like to play Zara

- Tory would likely believe that Kreese didn’t die and believe he would show up again, as would Johnny

- Sensei Kim was always rooting for Tory

- Originally Martin wanted to fight Terry with swords

- I just wanted to mention that almost every other question when it was relevant, they would just repeat “John Kreese never dies” and the entire audience would just go WILD

Musicians (Zach Robinson & Leo Birenberg)

- One episode takes them around 10 days to compose and the fight scenes take up most of that time

- The big fight in s6e10 took 2 full days to compose. Before fully composing it, they planned out chunks to determine where it switches from being a fun, cool brawl to serious and deadly

- They never read the scripts before hand and only write the music after watching the episode

- I asked about whether it was intentional to draw parallels between Danny and Terry with them both being introduced with more classical music. They said it was not to draw parallels between them but rather calling back to the original movies and that pallet. And then Terry’s music ended up shifting more toward a darker synth

Billy Zabka & Xolo Marideuna

- Gianni and Jacob (The Binary Brothers) are the most likely to break character and crack up

- Jacob was trouble and would joke around, bringing down Xolo with him. Jacob was able to lock in as soon as they start filming and left Xolo laughing

- Xolo mentioned Johnny curing Miguel’s asthma

- Xolo got the call that he got the role when he was coming home from school hanging out with his friends

- Someone joked that Johnny should become a doctor because he can cure asthma and paralysis

- Xolo confirmed he would come back as Blue Beetle in James Gunn’s DCU reboot but said he doesn’t think he can say anything else

- Billy mentioned twice that Johnny had no friends and no fish which makes me wonder if maybe he did have a fish at one point or it was potentially pitched and turned down

- Referred to Johnny rolling a blunt in the KK movie as “connecting with the Earth”

- They shot all of the stunts and scenes in the Sekai Taikai in one week

- The first movie Billy was in was a documentary his dad made when he was 5 and he played himself and he was punching his neighbor

- Sam and Tory would probably have a more fun time with each other at prom rather than being with Miguel so they would probably ditch him and just go off to hang out on their own

- Billy said he doesn’t think either Kreese or Terry died in the explosion

- Whenever they would get a question about the cast (out of everyone in the cast,…?/if you had to choose any other character to act as…?) they almost always answered “Bert”

Tanner Buchanan & Mary Mouser

- Mary said she wishes that we got to see Sam in Okinawa because she wanted to go to Okinawa

- Sam and Tory likely would’ve teamed up to defeat Zara if the three of them fought

- Tanner when asked which big fight was the most fun responded, “It’s hard to choose which fight was my favorite because I lost all of them”

- Mousechanan is Tanner’s favorite ship name of them and is what they would name a dojo is they shared one

- Tanner said he thinks is Axel didn’t cheat and break his leg, Robby could’ve beat him

- Someone asked if Johnnys training ever crossed the line from training to child abuse and Mary said she was too scared of Billy to answer

- Mary said that Tory and Sam influence each others karate styles

- Asked about a major plot twist- Mary said she personally hcs that Sam wasn’t straight

- Tanner said he would root for Kwon and Mary said she would root for Axel if those two fought

- Tanner wants Robby to ride a motorcycle

- The original story ended with Sam and Miguel not ending up together so she was shocked when Miguel also goes to Okinawa

- “Even if they’re not meant to be together, they’ll still always be in each others lives”

- Tory and Robby ALSO weren’t supposed to end up together, no one was

- They talked about a potential alternative universe where Robby and Sam didn’t break up and they both agreed it would take a lot longer for them to learn their lessons and grow if they remained in that relationship because the relationship between the two of them is very familiar and comfortable and safe. They would’ve have been able to grow as much if they hadn’t challenge themselves to walk away

- I again asked if there were any arcs/aspects they wish could’ve been explored and Mary said she wished we got to see more of Sam dealing with and working through her PTSD. She mentioned that behind the scenes in her personal interpretation of playing the character, she was acting Sam through the perspective of it taking her a lot longer to heal from her PTSD.

- Someone asked whether Tanner thought Johnny was a good dad and he was clearly trying to figure out what to say that wouldn’t upset people so after thinking for a bit he finally said that he thinks Johnny is a good dad now

- Tanner said he didn’t quite understand at first why they would have Robby push Miguel over the stairs after they spent the rest of the show trying to show that Robby could be good and the writers agreed. They said that Robby is kinda fueled by rage and that since he kicks backwards without looking, he doesn’t realize where exactly Miguel is and how the kick would push him over. Tanner also said that Miguel pushed Robby against the banister during the fight and joked that it wasn’t his fault Robby had better balance than Miguel

- In another universe, Mary would like to play Electra and be in any of the twilight movies (“I’d like to be a vampire in any degree”) and Tanner would like to play Robin or Ghost Rider, and maybe even be part of the John Wick series

- Tanner said if Axel hadn’t cheated, he thinks Robby could’ve taken him in and won
