Hip decoupling drills like this one are key for great pelvic floor and core health. ESSENTIAL MOM MOVEMENT STRENGTH 💪 CIRCUIT: Exercise 6️⃣ . 🙋🏻♀️Who is ready to return to intensity? . 🙋🏻♀️How many moms out there are ready to bust out that jog stroller and get moving? . That’s awesome!! BUT, we have to earn that ability first! Remember that it takes up to a year for the healing process to complete itself after giving birth. . Take your time and nourish your body with high quality nutrition and proper, progressive movement. Then...build towards intensity. . Strong hamstrings and glutes are one component of a solid foundation for returning to intensity. . Here is a progression of the floor bridge which is a foundational exercise in your postpartum recovery program! . Here I am using one of my favorites, @reactive_training Coretex with a 6kg @viprpro . The two work together just like your core and pelvic floor! . My glutes and hamstrings must react to the movement of the ViPR as I shift from left to right at the top of the bridge. . The pelvic floor reacts subconsciously and breath is consciously performed, exhaling at the top of the bridge. . This exercise prepares me for the more dynamic exercise 7️⃣! . I love these yoga pants, which were a gift. The pants fit fine, but the waistband did not feel comfortable. I replaced it with a larger, more-well-fitting waistband in another fabric. I'm not surprised to see that the front fits perfectly, and the back needs more depth. That is a common adaptation I need to make (my "rise" is longer in the back than the front). I can use some of the left over waist band fabric to make a back yoke. PS, I made a mistake. I put the seam of the waistband in the front instead of in the back. That little white dot is not a seam, it's an imperfection in my mirror... I think most people won't see the seam there. ESSENTIAL MOM MOVEMENT STRENGTH 💪 CIRCUIT: Exercise 6️⃣ . One of the major difficulties I had recovering from the twin pregnancies is mobility, rhythm and timing in my hips. I also have trouble with my thoracic spine getting locked down. . Here I am with two of my favorite functional tools that have helped me recover my function @reactive_training Coretex and my 6kg @viprpro . . This exercise requires me to react to the platforms movement with my hips while the ViPR drives in the opposite direction. . This movement is huge for adding resilience to your lumbosacral fascia and teaching you to move from the hips to spare the spine. . Life applications you might not think of...sliding in and out of the car 🚙 (or minivan 😉). Ungluing stroller jogging posture. . Here is a tool that has great functional carryover! Your body will retain the pattern and have great movement between sessions! .
