Took me a while tho to make soms proper fanart, unfortunately, maybe i doodled here and there but i didn't have the motivation just yet to do a full piece...

So much so that I even got some extra doodles out while working on the piece, some of em alluding to the Sitcom!DOAI AU, so ey that's something! I think- :'D

Though I was wondering, if the gods can teleport, what is the use of cars for? Hades teleported back home and let Charon take his car back which became the inciting incident for Persephone to end up in the Underworld. Is it for carpooling? Just to show off status and riches? To keep up with modern trends?

I hope I didn't come off too strong with my question, it was just something that popped into my mind while I was rereading. Your rewrite is extremely fascinating and I'm excited to see how it continues!

Olympus and the Underworld differ in how they operate. Olympus has many gods who are revered and worshipped, and as such their society was largely built on the relationship between gods and mortals through the offerings made by humans and the boons given by gods.

The Underworld, on the other hand, couldn't depend on such gifts as many mortals don't worship them in the same way as Olympians - rather, they're feared and whispered about, with the common belief that to speak the names of the Underworld gods would be to invoke death and chaos.

So, to ensure that the Underworld could still develop, Hades had to build the Underworld through the exchange of goods and services (i.e. capitalism).

Shades have no need for economy. They're dead. So while some do wind up working for Hades in indebted servitude (specifically the beings who attempted to bargain with the God of the Dead), the majority of them are simply cast into Asphodel, Elysium, or Tartarus, depending on the judgment given by Hades, and live out the rest of their afterlives wherever they end up.

Through all this, Olympus and the Underworld have worked together closely to advance their respective realms at an even pace. Hephaestus has operated as a freelancer working as a middleman between the two, lending his skills to the technological advancement of the realms.

Satyrs and nymphs make up a large part of the populations in both the Underworld and Olympus (though for nymphs, there are certain restrictions as to where they can travel depending on their original form - not all nymphs can survive in the Underworld) so much of their respective societies were built around the inclusion of nymphs and satyrs as a result. Gods can teleport, satyrs and nymphs can't. As such, much of the technology present in both realms is for the benefit of satyrs and nymphs, including cars. It's why we see Hades driving a car in the first episode (as he was planning on picking up Minthe) and again when showing Persephone the rainbow bridge connecting the realms, but not when he's simply travelling around on his own. Satyrs and nymphs aren't so much "lower class" as they are just beings who don't have the luxuries of teleportation and flight like gods do - they still contribute and are acknowledged as residents of their realms by the gods who reign over them, so the gods have done their part to ensure that the nymphs and satyrs can exist within a functional society that benefits both them and the gods. Just like with the mortals, it's on the gods' shoulders to ensure their subjects can thrive.

Apollo is one of the few gods who uses cars as a status symbol as he has a very distinctly golden vehicle that makes it easy to identify him. He's very much trying to be seen (•̀ᴗ•́)و

Hello! You mentioned parafictional in one of your answers, and that term came as a shock to me; I thought I've heard of everything! Now I'm wondering how parafiction works, exactly; Do fictional phenomena just become real at random, or do certain conditions spark their formation in this world? Are there just parafictional characters that can appear, or can history be altered to include fictional events or locations? How do different artstyles translate? Sorry for asking so much, but the possibilities are exciting but world-shaking at the same time; now I'm wondering what things we thought to have always been from reality could actually be from fiction, like all extranormal phenomena, or even the OPN itself!

It's a little of both!

Parafictional phenomena can be some kind of force animating the idea of a fictional character or object, or something that happens broadly at random. From my memory and a quick perusal of my records, it's usually the former, though parafiction is rare in general.

An example of the former would be something I've mentioned before - outsider behavior patterns that manifest using the human capacity for creativity. We've had a few instances of sci-fi conventions where we had to intervene before a book series' god-emperor enthralled the attendees.

Sometimes it is a semi-random manifestation, though. We don't really have a good handle on the conditions needed for that to happen. It's a bit of a cocktail - wobbles in the noosphere, particularly strong psychic will, a fictional character's movie or property having a pop culture moment.

Going through your questions here - while parafiction as a concept is commonly associated with characters, it's just as common to see objects and phenomena. They might pass under the radar a little, of course. If a certain car mentioned in a book appears in a parking lot and then dissipates a day later very few people will notice, where they're more likely to notice a person walking around.

As a reminder, if you see any object from fiction in your everyday life, be cautious! Make sure you know it's a mundane replica before handling it, or report it to us for examination. We don't want people running around with cursed swords granting them dominion over death. That makes our jobs WAY harder! Remember: when encountering the parafictional, treat it as you would if you were in that fiction - and not the hero.

I don't think that next part is possible - if someone or something were to rewrite history in that way, we'd probably classify that as crimes against historio-chonological integrity and not parafiction. We're not aware that's happened, but....it would be hard to know, of course.

Ok i give up, here is the au i thought about in the post about my D&D character

So basically, its a ✨️Gods and Mortals✨️ kind of au (it also has nothing to do with my actual dnd character lmao)

At first i had a very different idea for this au tbh, but now i have a clearer view on where and how i want this to work

Eclipse is a preschool teacher and a daycare robot, his job is to care for the roudies children and take some weight off of the teacher's shoulders

One day, everything was normal, he gets his ass isekai'd into another world. Why? Because i say so

Jk he probably died somehow like in all isekai stories

To save him are the god of the stars, and the god of planets, those being Sun and Moon, who take a liking on this funny looking mortal and send him on an adventure with them as patrons

Sun and moon are two weirdos and being gods they do not really. Percieve. Eclipse as its own thinking being

This is not a plot point, actually, it's just to specify that Sun sees Eclipse as how you'd see a cute pet, while Moon as how you'd see a toddler of someone you barely know

They also have wildly different approaches when they talk with Eclipse, Sun does babyvoices at him, while Moon is the incarnation of the babysitter who tapes the baby to the wall and asks them if they want a beer

Sun is Eclipse's patron during the day and companion during the night, Moon is the other way around

Eclipse slowly loses his patience and gets progressively sassier and less keen to take shit from anyone he sees

Picture Gertrude from 'I Hate Fairyland', Eclipse is stuck in that world since months and has ho idea how to go back to his own, his "patrons" are not helping and anyone he meets is either a normal person or the worst weirdo he has ever run into

So he goes slowly from "ok now lets calm down and talk this out ok? We don't want anyone getting hurt ^^" to "i cast fuck you and your family!"

This is a sandbox au, so there is no real story, just some beasts to put in situations

If you want to know what they look like, Eclipse is the same eclipse from my 'sun and moonless' au/fic

Sun and Moon on the other hand appear as these titanic and imposing beings when they are in their real form, and as regular sun and moon when they take the 'shape of eclipse' (as they call it)

Sun wears a white tunic and a red scarf both as a god and as a "mortal", in his god form the tunic fades into clouds! his head is a half sphere and from behind rays and light come out, it looks like he is wearing a floating crown but you can't really tell because he is too bright. Also je probably has like, a few tens of eyes, but uses only between 2 and 5 at the same time usually

Moon on the other hand does not even have a real head as a god! His head is a clpud of space dust and darkness with a thousand stars inside, you can also see the moon where his head would be, and it always shows the same side no matter where you look at him from (it also shows the current lunar phase); he has eyes tho!

Moon wears a dark cape, and the cloud from his head forms a train behind him that looks like a night sky (similar to a nun's headwear in appearence)

When i draw anything good for this au i will post it because i keep imagining it with walt disney old comic books artstyle but I CAN'T REPLICATE IT

hiii! ive lowk been *obsessed* with Our Wonderland since like, the begining of summer and OH MY GOD?! i unfortunately couldnt llisten to it with the music since i only had time to play it at like 2:00 am BUT the storytelling is fucking awesome, the fact that each character is some shade of morally gray instead of having a "super good ive never done anything bad ever" protag and a "haha im evil im never redeemable" antag we got to see like, a lot of complexity in the characters, and you really dont see that often. Especially with Iggy because even he did some pretty bad stuff (mostly in arc 3) and like it adds a sort of nuance to the game and i literally love it so much. uhm uh yeahhh thats basically it like i just really really like your storytelling it lowk had me questioning my morals and rethink some relationships ive had and like its such a good game like more people need to play it bcuz its so like complex and the narritave is so good and i just love it so muchhhjhhj!!!!

and thats not even talking about the art like holy shit? not only is ur artstyle like, AMAZING, but you were able to have a bunch of animated scenes and a shit ton of different character sprites and im like "wow" cause like thats honestly like really impressive. the thing that made me wanna play OW was the art cause i really like visual novels that have art in them.

wahhhh... this is really sweet... thank you so much... 😭💕 i'm really happy that you like the game and chars so much. lkdjafd i'm glad you say that tbh. it was definitely something i wanted to get across in the game... like... that there's no "wrong" and "right" or "bad" and "good" and that we all make mistakes and hurt people we care about. but it's less about the mistakes themselves and more in how you learn and get better and grow (and ofc talk and apologize, etc.), which is something the cast in general is not great at LOL i wanted all the chars to have deep flaws...

hmmm as for inspo, i've said before that the initial kernel of an idea came back when i was still in school and got really into horror vns, creepy vocaloid songs, games like american mcgee's alice, etc., and it just grew from there over many years of living with the idea and having it evolve. as for the chars themselves, that is something that i honestly could not tell you exactly where they each individually came from. like i had a general idea of the types of chars i wanted but as for their designs and such i mostly just sat down one day and drew them. and much of their characters grew and evolved both before and even during production. so there's no real single source for any of it lakjdfasd it was just a lot of various thinking, dreaming, and getting inspired by a variety of random little things over many years...

Well, this is probably because of her fight with Diesel 10, just a few months before the pups were born, where he said the phrase "If i can't kill you, i will destroy everything that makes you want to be alive" when she defeated him.

Then he just ran away like the rat he is.

It was well known that Diesel 10 and Lady knew eachother since many years before that terrible fight, and they were really close friends.

But one day to another, he just changed. He always tried to hurt Lady, for some reason, his lovely personality he had towards Lady suddenly turned into an extreme hatred for her.

It looks like everything he does is just as a "revenge" for something she did to him in the past.

He's kinda demential now....

Yuca reads 'The Rumic Theatre!!': Those Selfish Aliens

First up, Those Selfish Aliens (Kattena Yatsura)!! Oh my god, I love this one. Like, I love all of the Rumic World One-Shots but I have a special soft spot for this one because it really shows Rumiko's skill and potential. This work was judged by a couple of mangaka since it was an entry to Shonen Sunday's "newcomer contest", in quotes because I forgot the actual name of the contest and I'm too lazy to google it but it's basically what it says, and the judges comments were more or less like "art could improve a lot but it is a very fun and creative story". And yeah, they're right. The artstyle is cute and nostalgic but some drawings, expressions and stuff feel a bit weak. I've noticed this in early UY too btw, there's this one panel where Lum is sitting on branch in a tree and the size difference and proportion between Lum and the tree felt really off. Of course, these are all things Rumiko improves at while making UY, Her drawings and expressions looks a lot more alive and wonderful since then, her size and proportion game is incredible and her artstyle is literally iconic and it's really satisfying to see how much someone like Rumiko has improved and it's really inspirational too. The story also showed off Rumiko's potential perfectly when it comes to storytelling, it's so wonderfully wacky and creative, a literal example of thinking outside the box. Like, the whole concept of 'a newspaper delivery guy gets abducted by aliens and then fishmen and then humans, who all place bombs inside of him, while he wants to deliver the goddamned papers and also meets this cute, awesome girl who was the fishmen's pet, but then the universe is in peril because of the bomb planters stupidity and selfishness (thus the title) and they form a truce and make sure the guy delivers his papers as safely as possible while the guy doesn't know that he's a literal fucking explosive and the girl hangs out with him even though she knows' is absolutely insane, like oh my god (I had so much fun typing everything in the single quoted section lol). It's so entertaining and it shows that Rumiko Takahashi has a bunch of great ideas with this being one of them. It's charming, funny, the characters are likeable and it just such a fun and cozy read. Also, I hear many say that this is the blueprint to Urusei Yatsura but asides from the Sci-fi themes, dappyamen, the title, Akane's flirtatious behavior being a bit similar to Lum's; it's not really all that similar to UY lol. Anyways, Kei is a funny protagonist and the gag of him being dedicated to his newspaper deliveries is so damn funny (on a related note: He's dedicated to his job, and he respects women, 10/10 man) and Akane (Rumiko's first ever Akane) is a lovable, strong and supportive female lead.

They are both also really cute together btw, made for each other.

Anyway, really enjoyed this one: 8/10.

With the success of mangas and animes here in the west in the 2000s, the famous brazilian comic series Turma da Monica decided to release their own manga edition, aging up the characters to focus more on the teen demographic. A year later, in 2009, Labareda Design and Ediouro (publisher) got together to see if they could make money off this whole ''teen manga'' thing, giving birth to Luluzinha Teen, a teen manga adaptation of the famous american comics of Little Lulu. Unfortunately, because of financial problems, the series started getting published every two months (instead of being a monthly series), until it ended at its 65th volume, in 2015.

This ''manga'' series, although it was not as good as it could've been, holds a big place in my heart. I still remember being in 4th grade, looking in the comic section of my school's library with a friend of mine, when one day we saw the 43rd volume: LuluzinhaTeen Amor & rock'n'roll, which was a collab with the rock band CW7. We had never heard of this series before, and the band? Who even were these people? So we searched them up, tried finding more info on the series and that was pretty much it. Then the pandemic came up, she moved and changed schools, and we pretty much forgot about the comic... (we kinda became fans of the band though, although the fandom was pretty much dead, so that wasn't forgotten lol)

Honestly, I don't even remember why I remembered this comic earlier this year, but thank God I did lol, since I was able to find some scans online of this series I'd been wanting to read for such a long time. I still haven't finished it though, and most likely never will, since 4(?) volumes are technically lost media: 62, 63, 64 and 65. There have been yet no signs of scans of them, but they do exist (I've seen 62 and 65, separately, being sold in comic lots online). It's sad how they're SO hard to find, and especially 65, since it is literally what ends this long series.

Still on the topic of lost media, it's really sad how both luluzinhateen.com and bandaloki.com, websites made to promote and interact with fans, while also holding contests like ''send us your oc and we might add them to one of our stories'', and containing interviews with several celebrities like Pitty, CW7, Banda Cine, and others, will forever be lost. There is no sign of the websites anywhere, not even on the Wayback Machine, and the only actual proof it exists is them being promoted in the series itself.

Anyways, back onto not so depressing pieces of info, this series started out pretty well. Each volume was an episode in a season, and each season had 4 episodes. Each season focused on a different main problem going on, introducing us to several characters and interesting plot points, until suddenly, season 4 was over. It was really weird, since it kinda ended on a cliffhanger, and then the next volume, 17, completely ignored that. They did kinda explain to us later what had happened, but dude??? It kinda sucked. From 17 on, they started doing individual stories for each volume, which honestly wasn't really good for character development, but it got worse in the (thankfully very few) volumes where they tried squeezing TWO stories in one comic. That absolutely sucked ass. Thankfully, it went back to normal, and they occasionally released volumes that had two parts, which made the stories a bit more fleshed out and interesting.

As I mentioned earlier, they started having some financial issues, which most likely explains how in some volumes the artstyle suddenly changes mid story, and also explains why it became a bimonthly comic. We also can't ignore its sudden end, and how most of us in this dead fandom probably never got to actually see it (though from what I've heard, it's pretty much Lulu deciding to travel the world with her grandma and saying goodbye to her friends because of that). Good things don't last that long, and with the company struggling, it was pretty obvious it was going to end soon. R.I.P. LuluzinhaTeen and R.I.P. The fandom...

Literally, when I searched up ''Luluzinha Teen'' here on Tumblr, I found two posts from OVER 10 YEARS AGO. Like wtf??? I also love how one of them still uses(d) the Pitty illustration from the first volume as her profile picture. Like, slay <3

There's a difference between skilled and talented, but when I tell you that this creator is both like, oh my God! Their art sometimes makes me gasp because it's so beautiful. Black Butler is my favorite, but I love their other pieces too.

The Bully Artstyle

Am I the only one who really appreciates the official Bully artstyle?

Though, calling it one style is technically wrong, since the images are made out of one front image and the comic background, both of which are made by different artists.

If you are wondering, the guy who did the main illustrations is Anthony Macbain.

If you look around his website, you will not only see his Bully art, but also that he also did some work for the GTA series.

The person who did the background illustrations is Stephen Bliss, who... also did art for GTA, believe it or not. I guess Rockstar only has that many artists that focus on semi-realism.

Obviously, since GTA is like, the most famous thing ever, his website does not focus on Bully that much. But if you scroll all the way in the Rockstar Games portion of his website, you will find the art that was used for the backgrounds! And it seems like he designed the logo too!

Now that we know who did it, I'll try to to a bit of art analysis.

Similar to the GTA style, the style of Bully is somewhat realistic. Kind of stiff looking, to be honest. But the background illustrations kind of make up for that.

The lines are mostly the same unchanging width (except for some smaller lines for details). They do not taper much. The lines are also colored - their color is more dulled out than the colors they are containing.

The colors are also kind of dull in general (though this may only be because of my monitor.) Probably because the art is going for that realistic look. Of course, we could also look at it a bit more artistically and say that the colors are dull to fit the miserable atmosphere of Bullworth. You might also notice that there are no real whites - the shirts are either tinted yellow, or whatever color is around it. I think this is pretty neat. White fabric often tends to reflect the colors around it in real life.

The lineart is just a bit too chunky to convey true realism, so it is stylized in a cool kinda blocky way. The shadows are also quite blocky in general. They often tend to be interesting shapes by themselves. Look at those eyebags and the shadow under the mouth!

Besides the hard shadows, the art also uses some airbrush-like effects. Look at how it conveys the shininess of Pinky's belt and the softer shadow on her thigh. It is also used in Gary's hair to show the soft color transition.

The opposite of shadows, the hair highlights, are these cool zigzag shapes. I like it when artists make the hair highlight a bold shape like that. Speaking of the hair highlights, notice how they often have a similar color to the background. Like, look at this - these ones are actually a pretty bold purple, probably to mimic the way real hair can, just like fabric, reflect the color of its environment.

Now, let's look at the blush. A lot of the characters in these illustrations have this strong blush on their cheeks and nose. This is probably used to make them look a bit more alive. I wanted to say every character, but then I looked at the art again and found out that was just not true.

Look at these two, for example. Edna sort of has the blush, but it is single colored and blocky, making her look kinda sick, rather than more alive. The boy next to her also doesn't have the blush, probably because the brighter pink wouldn't work as well on darker skin.

Mr Burton here also does not have the blush, because... I don't know, to be honest. Random stylistic choice, I guess.

Overall, I cannot quite name why I like the style of the main illustrations so much. It's just not the kind of thing that would usually appeal to me. I guess it's something about the realism combined with the cartoon stylisation and the slight blockiness of it all.

I have much less to say about the background illustrations. Don't get me wrong, I love them. It's just that they are only black and white, so we really cannot dissect the stylistic choices here. But also...

God, I just love the style of these. Just look at them. The caricature-ish style done with some bold inks is so cool. These have so much character, shame we never got a real comic in this style. And since they are black and white, they are as contrasting as a picture can be. Which means they are perfect for the backgrounds. And since the style is so exaggerated, it looks good even when the pictures are pretty small.

I wonder, were these done digitally, or with real ink? Both are possible, I think.

And that's about it for this post. If you have any other observations about these styles, I would love to read it. I just really like these illustrations!

So

With how I watched Miracle Universe yesterday, I obviously finished both KiraPre and Hugtto, so here are my final thoughts on them

(Major spoilers for every part of both seasons under the cut)

Kira Kira Precure A La Mode:

First of all like with all seasons I really love the major differences between all the main characters , but something I especially love about them is how well they go together to create the sillier and more homely vibe of the season, with Ichika, Himari, and Aoi having a sibling-like dynamic and Yukari & Akira being like second mothers to them

And furthermore I also love Yukari and Akira in general because oh my god they’re so cool. Yukari especially because I love how she’s always so collected and chill and one step ahead of everything, but also literally every Akira-centric episode feels like something out of a Fairy Tale and she literally turns her wand into a sword at some point which went hard as fluff. And the reveal that the person Yukari loves most outside of the KiraPati is her fans was so cute. And that one episode where Yukari turns into a cat was so peak and I NEED to see someone write a fanfiction about the 3-Star Kitty learning the truth about his boss because omg seeing him grieving her was so sad

Also I love how Yukari’s arc from the start had so many layers to it that are gradually unpacked one-by-one in all the episodes centered around her. By the time the episode about her perfectionism rolled around I already figured they were probably gonna be addressing that /vpos

And secondly I really loved the villains. First of all I love Gummy & Co. (Especially the spinny one omg I love her so much I wanna pick her up and cover her face in kiss marks) and the way they’re all just some guys after their belts are broken and I especially love how they took on the responsibility of finding and returning all the lost Fairies. I really hope there’s a spinoff about that at some point

And regarding Noir’s servants, outside of the way that they all mirror Star Twinkle villains (With Julio being like Kappard, Grave being like Tenjou, and Vibry being like Eyewon), Julio is the coolest general I’ve ever seen and literally every scene centered around him goes so hard. And I initially wasn’t expecting to think of Vibry the same way but her freakouts in the island episode and everything she does in Lumiere’s debut episode completely blew me away. And both of them are even better when they’re redeemed. Though it kinda sucks that Julio couldn’t have been a Sixth Ranger Cure

And aside from that Grave was also really cool in that one episode where he absorbs Diable’s power and the Precure have to unlock the Fantastic Animale to defeat him. However Diable himself kinda sucked after they turned him into average furrybait

And then of course at the top of them all is Elisio, who carries the moral dilemma of the season and has the final battle and can do the Noir Morphose and is just generally the coolest conceptually. But I still like Julio more

And then there’s the music which I love every second of. It’s like the more childish pop-up storybook vibe of the artstyle in audible form. And it has all the coolest battle music

And the story which is really funny to me because of how good it is. Like there are several times throughout my commentary where I jokingly said “This is all still about sweets btw” because I love the absurdity of the devs being able to tell a deep-cutting story about love and connection and individuality and the different, increasingly worse and worse things hatred will do to a person through the lense of sweets. It kinda reminds me of Onegai My Melody and Jewelpet Kira Deco but instead of telling a serious story in a goofy world with goofy lore, the story is just centered around a goofy concept

While there were some writing choices that cheesed me off sometimes, I would recommend that people watch this season overall just for that alone

Overall, 8/10. There are quite a few things I would’ve done better but it doesn’t suck and the endearing vibe and absurdity of the story being as good as it is sells it well enough for me

HUGtto! Precure:

First of all something I love about Hugtto’s characters is that they aren’t anything crazy. Like they’re literally just a buncha guys and gals hanging out having fun doing guy and gal stuff and I love how that makes it feel more real. And how that fits with this season being centered around the future

More specifically though I love Hana & Co and all their dynamics, Harry included. Star Twinkle may be my favorite season in general but they’re my favorite Cures. And their Cure designs are so so so pretty omg

And in the way of Fairies,

Tbh I actually didn’t really like Harry that much at first because he didn’t have anything that really made him stand out to me but him becoming a human for most of the time made me like him a lot more. And made his hamster form moments a lot cuter

And of course I love Hugtan because how could you not

Abd the devs for this season absolutely knocked it out of the park in the villains department holy schnitzel. Criasu Corp as a concept is cool enough but like everyone’s Oshimaidaa summoning animations and the vastly different themes of them all and the way they all represent different struggles in society that may cause someone to give up (Charareet being constant failure, Papple being loneliness and depression, Gelos being crushed under the weight of being a woman in a misogynistic society, Doctor Trauma thinking he’s too old to have a future, Bishin losing a loved one, and Ristol not having anyone to help him through a hard time. And Daigon is just a bitch idk why he did any of that)

I already liked all of them enough when they were villains and on top of that I liked them so much more when they were reformed. I love Purified Charareet and Doctor Traum so much. And the song that plays when they make an appearance has such a nice “Calm after the storm” vibe to it

And then in the way of story I of course enjoyed every second of that too because Oh My God™️. The way all the villains become Oshimaidaas allowed for some really cool scenes and some of my favorites. Papple’s transformation being a metaphor for suicide made her one of my favorite villains, and the way that Gelos’ underlings turn into a fucked up amalgamation was really disturbing but in a cool and interesting way, and I love how Gelos herself did a repeat of that in her transformation

But most of all I of course love how Doctor Trauma’s transformation took place along the course of an ENTIRE ALL STARS MOVIE that’s part of the main story and just casually sitting between Episode 35 & 38. And Hugtto has an actual All Stars movie on top of it

And not to mention the lore with the twist of humanity’s future being of their own making and Criasu Corp having originally been founded to help them and the things they did to the Hariharis in an attempt to help them survive and how Cure Tomorrow AKA Future!Hugtan kept them at bay when they lost their way

And Homare’s crush on Harry was kinda unnecessary but tbf it gave us the Bishin vs Homare beef and that started with a really cool battle at the end of a really cool episode

And of course the music is cool as always. I especially love that song that plays after the final battle where a person’s voice is singing the main theme as the sun rises

Overall, 10/10. Any complaints I had for this season were solved later on in the story and everything outside of them was already cool enough to make up for them anyway

I was originally planning to watch Yes 5 next but since Maho Tsukai II comes out next year and the end of the year is starting to get pretty close, I’m gonna be watching the first Maho Tsukai

Similarities

THEIR FACE LOOKS IDENTICAL, KIRUMI IS THE "DANGANRONPA ARTSTYLE" VERSION OF DROITE

Their calm demeanor and attitude to serious situations omg I saw so much Droite in her during the trials IT'S MAKES ME CRAZYY AHHH

They are both two competent and very strong female characters in their respective universe. Kirumi Tojo is the Ultimate Maid which means her ultimate talent is that she can fulfill any request that is given to her and her most extreme request was to take over a nation or something which she can but refused lmaooo

I take back all my criticism of Droite being treated badly by the writers because it doesn't hold a candle to how Kirumi was actually treated... if you (spoilers ahead) watched Kirumi's brutal execution in Danganronpa V3, which I still believe is the most brutal and painful way to go out of any executions to date in the entire Danganronpa franchise personally... but this also shows a tremendous similarity to Droite when it comes to their determination as Kirumi gives all her strength to survive - these two will do everything in their power and endure any pain to reach their goal until the very bitter end

They both have short hair!!

Differences

The differences make me go a little crazy because KIRUMI HAS SPIDER WEBS ON HER DRESS, THAT'S LIKE HER SIGNATURE ANIMAL/INSECT WHICH REPRESENTS FEMALE EMPOWERMENT, WHEREAS DROITE'S ARE PHOTON/WARRIOR BUTTERFLIES - both are strong embodiment of female empowerment and strength as they show it in their respective universes while embodying two opposing insects which drives me nuts

Their style and fashion - Kirumi has a very gothic style vibe to her while being old fashioned. I remember in her free time event she revealed that she likes the 18th century era? (aka a snippet into a universe of how Droite would look like if she was a part of the Arclight family lmao), but unlike Kirumi, Droite has a very vibrant and colourful fashion and style and her main colours are pink and violet (very feminine and bright colours) Droite also wears make-up, which is a shade of a vibrant bluish indigo/cobalt colour matching her tattoo Duel Gazer which reinforces her pragmatic attitude/down to business, cold and calculative nature of her character while sometimes wearing pink lipstick, showing her mature side - unlike Kirumi as she wasn't shown to wear any make-up. Droite's fashion is very mature as she wears high heels and has a smart dress code whilst only being a young adult (19 years old) while Kirumi's dress very much emulates the maid dress of the century she likes, at least the length of them, while "gothified"? (this whole post is a very poorly done analysis don't expect too much) while wearing shoes with ribbons - overall her clothing together with her character design with the exception of her shoes, makes her look very mature compared to her age (which is between 15-18 but she definitely has to be 18).

Their roles in society - now, Kirumi is the Ultimate Maid, which means whilst she's very talented, her purpose and life's dedication is to serve others, and it's something she's very passionate about and takes a lot of pride in being a maid as she serves high ranking members of society while she has the ability and talent to join them - but she doesn't want to, she would rather hone her skill as the Ultimate Maid. In contrast, Droite is a high ranking member of society herself as she made it to the top after her harsh training. She's an elite duelist, a former Mr. Heartland's right hand woman, a former WDC event committee and probably very rich at that point in her life - now she's Gauche's manager but she just overlooks his career, she's not his servant or passionate about serving people, instead she's passionate about helping and protecting people who she cares about, which is a big contrast to Kirumi's character as she took the honour to serve a whole nation which served her as a motive to kill and lead her to her ultimate demise. In summary, Droite has few selective characters in which she would give her everything to protect with her strength, and finds pride in that potentially, while Kirumi finds pride in serving any of her clients to her utmost capabilities - and when she doesn't necessarily have clients while being trapped in a school, she takes good care of her classmates (cough except the second chapter leading to the trial cough)

Everyone loves Kirumi because of her serving/altruistic nature which is to provide comfort and even massages them in the pool and cooks for them, which I would never see Droite doing ever, I think this kind of behaviour would be reserved for a very special person if she ever were to get that comfortable with them - while she is in a way altruistic by being caring and protective to people she cares about, she's not that altruistic

Kirumi has a surname, Kirumi Tojo, while Droite doesn't :((

Kirumi is actually much taller than Droite lmaoo I did not expect that at allll

Anyway sorry for this long post and of me just freaking out over them I love them dearly and their similarities and differences just make me go crazy because every time I see Kirumi I see Droite ahhhhh
