Doujinshi Sales Update
I am aiming for sales to go live Sunday January 19th @ 19:00 GMT (2pm EST, 11am PST)
I DIDN'T FINISH IN TIME, SORRY. orz SALES WILL BE DELAYED.
(By a week, maybe, more details in the reblog.)
⊱ •❅──────⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅──────❅• ⊰
Important notes:
PURCHASES ARE AVAILABLE TO ADULTS 18+ ONLY as many of the books contain explicit content.
ALL BOOKS ARE IN JAPANESE.
All books are secondhand and may have minor imperfections. These will be noted where I've spotted them, but I cannot guarantee the condition 100%.
I AM BASED IN THE UK. I am happy to ship internationally, but shipping costs can be pretty gnarly nowadays.
Hi all! Sorry that this is a little later than anticipated, I have been super busy with Christmas, moving house, and a new job (I joined right at the second busiest event of the whole year), as well as then trying to compile pictures and full information for 500 books...
The plan is:
I have made my own online shopfront for it. It looks a little like this.
Tumblr media
Etc., etc. It scrolls a long way.
It is not fancy, but you should be able to just add the books you want into a cart and go to checkout and!! It will calculate shipping for you, because I am adding the weight of all the books so the site can figure it out automatically. There will also be a shipping page with tables of weight brackets, shipping method, and cost for each, so you can preemptively get an idea of what to expect.
(Weighing 500 books individually in an arduous process, alas.)
In any case, it should be super straightforward, just add stuff to cart and check out.
I am still adding cover images for all the books, and as much information about each one as I can, which is why it is taking a while. Please bear with me a little longer, hopefully with the extra preparation time everything will go super smoothly when the site does go live!
Prices
The ""high-end"" popular circles books are mostly around US$6-8 (this is what you can see in the screenshot).
Other circles are mostly around US$4-6.
Some older books that are maybe a little outdated in style or what have you might be on there for just US$2.
There are also a couple that are free, just add them to your order and pay shipping!
Anything higher than these brackets is either because it was very rare and difficult for me to find at the time, or is a particularly large book (e.g. the Reunion Archives in the screenshot is a compilation book containing six previous works in one and a good inch thick).
DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR LARGER ORDERS.
There is 10% off orders over $30, 20% off orders over $60, and 30% off orders over $100. (That's the only way I could figure out how to do it with the particular site builder.)
Tag List
If you would like to be added to the tag list (or taken off, I am just tagging everyone who expressed an interest on the previous post) please let me know!

YOU MUST MAKE A WEBSITE
Oh wow, look at that! YET ANOTHER post urging you to make a webbed site! What a completely new thing that people haven't made a thousand masterposts for already!!
• Making a website might look scary. It is Not.
At first, I too thought making a website was too much work. It really isn't! It turns out that all you need is
an HTML file,
a web hosting service and
w3schools tutorials,
and that's about it!
This post will point you towards these resources, and others I found useful while figuring out how to make a website.
• VERY QUICK EXPLANATIONS:
What's HTML and CSS?
HTML is the content of your webpage, the skeleton of it. What shows up in a webpage is what's written in the HTML file!
CSS is the way the HTML is styled; the colour of the background and the letters, the size of elements, the font, all that!
Do I absolutely NEED JavaScript for a website?
Not at all! You don't need to worry about learning it before getting started.
• What do I make a website for? What do I put in there?
ANYTHING AND ALMOST EVERYTHING. Here's some ideas for pages from a post of mine were I was very normal about websites:
You can make a page that's only pictures of your pets.
You can make an interactive adventure.
You can make your own academic blog full of your own essays or articles.
You can just post a ton of art or make a full music page.
You can make a blog and infodump eternally, give book reccs and reviews. You can host a thousand virtual pets and nothing else.
Upload entire books in a single html file. Make a wikipedia for your ocs. Make a fake site for a random fictional place (restaurant, hotel, whatever). You can make a thousand fanpages/shrines about your favorite media. You can upload your own webcomic and make it all like a fancy website and shit.
I could keep going but, for the sake of "brevity", I won't.
• WEBSITE EXAMPLES!
If I started listing the websites I know, this post would be bottomless. Here's only seven:
https://publictransit.neocities.org/ - A webbed site, for sure
https://ribo.zone/ - A personal site
https://leusyth.neocities.org/ - An art archive
https://solaria.neocities.org/ - Personal website with A Lot of stuff (it'll come up in a bit, because it offers web making resources)
https://hog.neocities.org/ - The Hogsite
https://thegardenofmadeline.neocities.org/ - Another personal site! It also has a web resources page and has made another masterpost like this one (but better)
https://spiders.neocities.org/ - My own website, which must be weird to see in mobile . sorry
• You've convinced me. I want a webbed site. Where do I start?
https://neocities.org/
FIRST OF ALL: Neocities. It is a free web hosting service, and it's the one I and the sites I linked use!
When I first started, my website was a black page with red letters and a drawing, and nothing else! It was like that for a month, till i started picking up on how to do things.
Here's what helped me get an idea of how to make things work:
https://sadgrl.online/learn/articles/beginners-guide-neocities
An absolute beginners guide to neocities -- while when you make an account there you get a tutorial page from the site, this one's extra support for that.
https://www.w3schools.com/
Learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript and MANY other coding things for free. All the tutorial/reference pages have live testing windows for you to mess with!! helped me a LOT while figuring this stuff out!
https://htmlcheatsheet.com/
https://htmlcheatsheet.com/css/
Cheatsheets for HTML and CSS, respectively. It includes a JavaScript one too!
https://sadgrl.online/webmastery/
Sadgrl's webmastery resources! Also includes the next resource listed here:
https://sadgrl.online/projects/layout-builder/
Sadgrl's layout builder; not a lot of customization at a first glance, but I've seen wildly different websites all using it as a base, plus it works using CSS Flexbox, so it generates a responsive layout!
(basically, a responsive layout is one that translates well in different sized screens)
https://www.tumblr.com/fysa/728086939730919424/wikitable-code?source=share
Tumblr user fysa made this layout imitating a wiki page!
https://brackets.io/
At some point, you might want to do things outside the Neocities code editor and get one outside the site. I recommend Brackets, because my old as fuck computer can run that and absolutely nothing else apparently, and it works wonderfully! Though I recommend either turning off the code autocomplete or using it after a good while of already using the Neocities code editor, so you get used to coding on your own.
http://www.unit-conversion.info/texttools/text-to-html/
Turn your text into HTML code! i use this kind of pages for my lengthy blog entries that I don't feel like formatting myself.
https://imagecompressor.com/
COMPRESS YOUR IMAGES.
The heavier an image is, the more your site weighs and the more time your page will spend loading. You don't want that, specially if your site is heavy on graphics. This might help!
https://solaria.neocities.org/guides
Some CSS, JavaScript and Accessibility guides! Worth checking out!
https://eloquentjavascript.net/
This is a free, interactive book for learning JavaScript! NOTE: It is very intuitive, but JavaScript is HARD!! I still haven't learned much of it, and my website does fine without so don't worry if you end up not doing much with it. It's still useful + the exercises are fun.
And now, accessories!
• Silly stuff for your page :]
https://gifypet.neocities.org/
Make a virtual pet, copy the code and paste it in your HTML file! You'll get a little guy in your webbed site :]
https://www.wikplayer.com/
Music player for your website!
http://www.mf2fm.com/rv/
JavaScript silly effects for your site :]
https://blinkies.neocities.org/geoblinkies
Blinkie search engine!
https://www.cbox.ws/
Add a chatbox to your site!!
https://momg.neocities.org/
Infinite gallery of gifs. i've spent hours in there looking at moving pictures and out of them all, the ONLY gif i actually ended up using on my site was a rotating tomato slice. it is still there. trapped.
https://wrender.neocities.org/tarotinstructions
A widget that gives you a random tarot card!
https://www.websudoku.com/widget.php
Sudoku widget!
That's about it for now! I don't know how to end this!!! Remember to have fun and google everything you don't know :]

so i've been coding a website
home of: the dervampireprince fanart museum, prince's art gallery, a masterlist of resources for making websites and list of web communities, and more!
[18+, minors dni (this blog is 18+ and the art gallery and art museum pages on my site have some 18+ only artworks)]
littlevampire . neocities . org (clickable link in pinned post labelled 'website')
Tumblr media
if you don't follow me on twitch or aren't in my discord, you might not know i've been coding my own website via neocities since june 2024. it's been a big labour of love, the only coding i'd done before is a little html to customize old tumblr themes, so i've learnt a lot and i've been having so much fun. i do link to it on my carrds but not everyone will know that the icon of a little cat with a wrench and paintbrush is the neocities logo, or even what neocities is.
neocities is a free website builder, but not like squarespace or wix that let you build a website from a template with things you can drag in, it's all done with html and css code (and you can throw in javascript if you wanna try hurting your brain /hj). i love the passion people have for coding websites, for making their own websites again in defiance of social medias becoming less customisable and websites looking boring and the same as each other. people's neocities sites are so fun to look through, looking at how they express themselves, their art galleries, shrines to their pets or favourite characters or shows or toys or places they've been.
why have i been making a website this way?
well i used to love customising my tumblr theme back when clicking on someone's username here took you to their tumblr website, their username . tumblr . com link that you could edit and customise with html code. now clicking a username takes you to their mobile page view, a lot of users don't even know you can have a website with tumblr, the feature to have a site became turned off by default, and i've heard from some users that they might have to pay to unlock that feature.
i've always loved the look of old geocities and angelfire websites, personalised sites, and i've grown tired of every social media trying to look the same as each other, remove features that let users customise their profiles and pages more. and then i found out about neocities.
are you interested in making a site too?
neocities is free, though you can pay to support them. there is no ads, no popups, they have no ai tool scraping their sites, no tos that will change to suddenly stop allow 18+ art. unlike other website hosters, neocities does have a sort of social media side where you do have a profile and people can follow you and leave comments on your site and like your updates, but you can ignore this if you want, or use it to get to know other webmasters.
to quote neocities "we are tired of living in an online world where people are isolated from each other on boring, generic social networks that don't let us truly express ourselves. it's time we took back our personalities from these sterilized, lifeless, monetized, data mined, monitored addiction machines and let our creativity flourish again."
i'd so encourage anyone interested to try making a website with neocities. w3schools is an excellent place to start learning coding, and there are free website templates you can copy and paste and use (my site is built off two different free codes, one from fujoshi . nekoweb . org and the other from sadgrl's free layout builder tool).
your site can be for anything:
a more fun and interactive online business card (rather than using carrd.co or linktree)
a gallery of your art/photos/cosplays/etc
a blog
webshrines to your a character, film, song, game, toy, hobby, your pet - anything can be a shrine!
a catalogue/database/log of every film you've watched, every place you've visited, birds you've seen, plushies you own, every blinkie gif you have saved, your ocs and stories, etc
hosting a webcomic
a fanwiki/fansite that doesn't have endless ads like fandom . com does (i found a cool neocities fansite for rhythm game series pop'n music and it's so thorough, it even lists all the sprites and official art for every character)
i follow a website that just reviews every video game based on whether or not it has a frog in it, if the frog is playable, if you can be friends with it. ( frogreview . neocities . org )
the only html i knew how to write before starting is how to paragraph and bold text. and now i have a whole site! and i'm still working on new stuff for it all the time.
Tumblr media
i just finished making a page on my website called 'explore the web'. this page lists everything you might need to know when wanting to make or decorate your website. it lists:
other neocities sites i think are cool and i'm inspired by, check them out for more ideas of what your site could look like and contain!
website building resources
coding help and tutorials
free website html code layouts you can use if you don't want too start coding from scratch
places to find graphics and decorative images for your site (transparent background pngs, pixels, favicons, stamps, blinkies, buttons, userboxes, etc)
image generators for different types of buttons and gifs (88x31 buttons, tiny identity buttons, heart locket open gifs, headpat gifs)
widgets and games and interactive elements you can add to your site (music players, interactive pets like gifypet and tamanotchi, hit counters, games like pacman and crosswords, guestbooks and chatboxes, etc)
web manifestos, guides, introductions and explanations of webmastering and neocities (some posts made by other tumblr users here are what made me finally want to make my own site and discover how too)
art tools, resources and free drawing programs
web communities! webrings, cliques, fanlistings, pixel clubs (pixel art trades) and more!
other fun sites that didn't fit in the other categories like free sheet music sites, archives, egotistical.goat (see a tumblr users audio posts/reblogs as a music playlist), soul void (a wonderful free to play video game i adore), an online omnichord you can play, and more.
i really hope the 'explore the web' page is helpful, it took three days to track down every link and find resources to add.
and if you want to check out my site there's more than just these pages. like i said in the beginning, i recently finished making:
the dervampireprince fanart museum
Tumblr media
every piece of fanart i've received (unless the sender asked me to keep it private) has been added to this museum and where possible links back to the original artists post of that art (a lot the art was sent to me via discord so i can't link to the original post). every piece of fanart sent to me now will be added on their unless you specifically say you don't want it going on there. there's also links to my fanworks guide on there and how to send me fanart.
other pages on my site
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
about me (including favourite media, quizzes, comfort characters, kins, and more)
art gallery (art i've made, sorted by month)
graphics (so far it's just stamps i've made but plan to remake this section of my site)
media log (haven't started the 2025 one yet, but a log of all films, tv, writing, music, theatre, fandoms, characters and ships i got into in 2024)
silly web pets
shrines
site map
update log
my shrines so far:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i have ones for lucifer from supernatural, sam winchester from supernatural, charuca minifigures (arcade prizes i wanted as a kid that i'm trying to finish collecting as an adult), my waifuroulette discord tcg collection. my masterlist of every lgbt+ marvel character is a wip. i love making each shrine look different and suit the character/fandom/thing the shrine is about. and then there's also:
the european musical section
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i ramble about them a lot and it's no surprise there's multiple shrines for them. i fell in love with german musical theatre in 2020 and that expanded in being interested in all non-english language musical theatre and trying to spread the word of it and how they deserve to be as known as english-language musicals. one musical in particular, elisabeth das musical, is my biggest special interest so expect a very detailed shrine about that one day.
so far this part of the site includes
'enter the theatre' an interactive web theatre where you choose a ticket and that musical will play on the stage (click a ticket and the embedded youtube video for that musical will appear on the stage and play. i dealt with javascript for the first time to bring the vision i had for this page alive, it might be slow but i hope enjoyable)
elisabeth das musical webshrine [not made yet]
tanz der vampire webshrine [not made yet, might abandon the idea]
my favourite european musicals [not made yet]
a masterlist of european musicals [a wip, only two musicals listed so far, i am listing every musical and every production they've had, this was a word document i kept for a long time that i always wanted to share somehow and this page is how i'll do it. there's no other list for european musicals out there so i guess it's up to me as always /lh]
the future for my site
i will update my art gallery, the fanart museum, my media log and other collections as often as i can. there's so many more pages i want to add including:
profiles for my ocs
finish my european musical masterlist
finish my 'every marvel lgbt+ character' masterlist (i have no love for marvel or disney's lgbt+ representation nor are all of these characters good representation and a lot are very minor characters, but for some reason i have gotten hyperfixated on this topic a few times so here comes a masterlist)
make shrines for loki (marvel), ares (hades), my sylvanian families collection, vocaloid (and/or vocaloid medleys), my plushie collection, pullip dolls
make a 'page not found' page
and i have one big plan to essentially make a site within a site, and make a website for my monster boy band ocs. but make it as if it was a real band, an unfiction project (think like how welcome home's website portrays welcome home as if it was a real show). this site would have pages for the band members, their albums, merch and maybe a pretend shop, and a fake forum where you could see other characters in the story talking and click on their profiles to find out more about them. and then once that's all done i want to start posting audios about the characters and then people can go to the website to find out more about them. that's my big plan anyway. i hope that sounds interesting.
i also want to make an effort to try and join some website communities. be brave and apply for some webrings and fanlistings, and make some pixel art and join some of the amazing pixel clubs out there.
but yeah, that's my site, that's neocities. i hope that was interesting. i hope it encourages people to make their own site, or at least look at other's small websites and explore this part of the internet. and if you go and check out mine feel free to drop a message in the guestbook on the homepage, or follow me on neocities if you have/make an account.

I must say: I’m genuinely impressed by how creative all your stories are. I have three questions related to your writing process, if you don’t mind.
1) How do you stay motivated to keep creating?
2) Where do you find inspiration?
3) have you ever had an idea for a scene that you struggled to execute? How did you work through that to write the scene?
I love your stories! I look forward to every chapter of Charlie McNamara.
1) Motivation to create has never been an issue for me -- there's always some new thing to write about! My issue, and the issue faced by a lot of other writers, is the motivation to stick with a project to completion. That's hard. Everyone's got a hundred "works in progress" they'll never touch again because they took a break and when they came back, their attention was on something new and shiny.
My solution to this? Money.
The reason I started Curse Words as a web serial and opened a patreon for it wasn't because I ever expected to be able to make a living as a writer. I'm as surprised as anyone that so many kind people have put their support behind me and let me keep writing these fucked up stories instead of getting a real job. I did it because I wasn't getting my projects finished. I was doing what we all do; getting three quarters of the way through any given project and then finding something more fun to work on instead. And when you risk disappointing readers by doing that, well, that'll get you back in the seat over the little bumps, maybe pull you back to a project a few times. But when people are paying you actual cash in return for consistent output, on time, to story completion? That's a way bigger motivator. Even if it's just one guy. For a long time, I had one patron! It was enough! It worked! It's not about making a lot of money, which is borderline impossible as a writer (again, I still can't believe my supporters are so generous enough that i can make this my career). But it acts as some level of both proof that your work is valued, and an active obligation on your part to keep producing it on a consistent schedule. My readers are giving me something valuable for this. I can't let them down.
Sorry, I'm sure you wanted a more uplifting kind of answer. But that's just what works for me.
2) I've never really been sure how to take this question. This is basically the age-old 'where do you get your ideas?' and it... doesn't have an answer. You think of a thing and you write about it. As you resolve the problems and inconsistencies in the thing, that fills out more and more of the world of the story.
Angel is born of a mediocre Goosebumps book called Chicken, Chicken. There's a part in the book where the protagonist, slowly shapeshifting into a chicken, rips all his feathers out every morning in an attempt to slow the transformation. The book isn't really about that but it stuck with me for a good two decades until, stuck in the house for two months at the beginning of Covid, I wrote Angel.
Void Princess and The princess in the Tower are both me musing on the old 'princess kidnapped by a dragon' trope. I get really fixated on this trope for some reason; I have four or five others swimming about in my head that aren't full stories ready for the page yet. Wasting Time is just the song Pushin' the Speed of Light, World Builder was written in a fever right after watching Jacob Geller's The Shape of Infinity, Copykate was initially going to be a SAYER fanfic but required enough alterations to the setting that it worked better as a story of its own. The inspiration is out there, the ideas are out there. It's just a matter of practice to turn them into stories.
3) I try to avoid scenes that are hard for me to depict, but this isn't always possible. I'm aphantasiac and struggle a lot with scenes that have a lot of heavy visual elements. Scenes where there's a lot going on that needs to be fairly precisely depicted are tricky, too.
One particularly difficult scene for me was a fight scene in Time to Orbit: Unknown. There's about six people in a small room fighting over the fate of a bunch of other people who are not present, and the reader needs to be kept up to date on the physical positions/activity/intentions of all the combatants, the villain explaining what he's doing and why (lying), the protagonist figuring out that he's lying, the physical condition (injuries, being restrained, et cetera) of all of the combatants, and the fate of the half of the crew not in the room, all with enough detail that the reader can understand the stakes, consequences, and enough of the moment-to-moment logic of the fight that nobody's decisions are confusing. The whole thing is very fast paced and... it's a lot. It's always a difficult balance in these scenes because you want to be detailed enough to keep the reader following everything they want to follow, but you don't want to dramatically slow down the story by describing every detail. If you're using a limited viewpoint, it's a blessing and a curse; you can avoid narrating the stuff your character can't see or isn't paying attention to, but you also have to find a way to get across information that your character might not be able to see, either by forcing them to see it or by having it conveyed in some other way in the scene. With busy scenes like this, I like to work backwards -- decide what specifically the reader needs to know, decide what is needed to get the characters to the places I want them at the end of the scene, and write a scene with as little as possible in it except for those two things. Sometimes, communicating those two things requires a bit of setup.
In Curse Words, there's an ancient magic spell passed down a family line from parent to child. It's a communication spell that allows people to see through each others' eyes and hear through their ears. Before the existence of long-distance wireless communications, this sort of information transfer was enormously powerful; wars can be turned with that power, trade networks created or conquered. It made its family enormously powerful, to the point where they're the most powerful magical family in the world even in the time of the story, with the spell long buried and its advantage lost to an age of mobile phones and cameras. It's massively influential to the worldbuilding of the story.
I introduced it for one reason and one reason alone -- I knew that eventually, I would be writing a climax to the story where a lot of people were doing a lot of things in a lot of different locations, and the protagonist was only going to be in one of those places. And I knew that I was going to need some way to tell the audience what the fuck was happening while he was running around in caves and shit.

Help wanted
Tumblr media
This could be another false alarm or another crisis averted, but if ex-staff are sounding the alarm, I should probably take it seriously. My mind hasn't even been on my personal blogs because I'm currently getting help and step-by-step tutorials for backing up utmvarchive.
I'd said before that if I were code-literate or could afford to hire someone who is, I'd've already cloned the archive off-site. But I'm not code-literate, and I can't afford to hire a web-builder, and that'd be too much to ask someone to do for free.
So what I'm asking for instead is this: if you can, I want help from the utdr community to collect/make docs saving all available credits, dates, lore and references of as many Undertale alternates as possible. If you have the time, please save as many posts and early versions by the original creators as you can.
If you're on pc, you can view the sidepages utmvarchive.tumblr.com/progress to see which alternates I've already covered (reblogged all og posts I could find, linked backups of abandoned/deleted works to docs/wikis/etc and summarized) and which ones I haven't yet. If you're on mobile, you can dm me for a link to the Google doc where I've copied over the indexes, the sidepages and all of tagged/txt (story mode).
The alternates I have links to docs saved are, according to the list at the bottom of citations, Abysstale, Birdtale (pending translation from hangul), Dusttale, Fatal_Error, Fluffytale, Inktale, Killer/Something New, Othertale, Storyshift, Ultratale/Vitaltale, Underfell, Underfresh, Underpray and Underswap. I've lost the link, but there was also a Korean wiki page I'd found with all the details about Negativetale, and my next task will be saving all the links I can to preexisting backups of other saved AU fanworks, such as Underplayer. I already put the doc in its own drive folder, and the utmvarchive doc already has a lot of tabs, so I'm thinking I'll save all those links in another doc.
I made utmvarchive last year because I didn't want the first Undertale AUs to become lost media or else simply forgotten, and I'm very grateful already for the help I'd gotten from @apyrisol, @rainbowut, @what-have-i-unleashed, @wickjump, @xxtha and all the attendees of @thevioletbanquetutmvrp, in sharing lore or sending works that I thought were scrubbed or lost to time; but I was working under the assumption I could take my time and treat this as a hobby. But if I may need to hurry, this is just too much for one user to do by myself. It's just me running the blog, hence why it's had pauses according to my own availability.
UTMV may be more niche, but I want to continue doing my part in media conservation even if my blog's future has become uncertain in recent days. Any help at all would be appreciated.

So far what ive learned playing Impossible Minecraft is:
1. Its weirdly calm once you get settled in
2. Never take more than the extremely bare essentials
3. Mob path finding is atrocious, the impossible mobs are no exception, anything that stops them from "finding" ya is crucial
4. Bamboo is a good defense so long as ya plant it well, no block un-planted, mobs cant spawn or follow you but you can walk on through
5. Placing blocks so you can see farmland but farmland can't see you keeps the scarecrow away (bamboo tested, not sure bout slabs and trapdoors yet)
6. Sharks dont spawn with waterlogged blocks, fire cant get ya if you're wet, combine the 2 concepts for safe furnace use
7. Kelp and Bubble Columns don't seem to spawn any sharks, a whole sea o them should be safe to swim in
8. Melons are friends in the beginning, plant once and they can be harvested without scarecrow nonsense
9. Spiders are still friendly during the day but will web ya if you get too close, good for string, make sure to jump for 2 webs
10. For the builders, use a bed to avoid trees shedding their bark, the leaves might safely catch ya but still be wary of fall damage
11. As scary as sharks are they can only outswim and not outrun, build bridges across the ocean in the water as opposed to above it, that way you can jump back up if you fall
12. A fishing rod can fish items out of the water for you
If anyone else is playing the datapack and has more tips and tricks lemme know so I can add em to the list. I very much like not dying so any help would be appreciated :D

Media Representation and (a rant on) Draconity
I think it's natural to want to find something within the media that represent and reflects yourself. As a dragon, the option might seem like quite a few within various sources of media, but the realities are that I and my various alterhuman identities are not the typical or commonly seen dragons.
As myself, I'm orange, furred, white feathered wings, yellow horns, and the vibrant red belly. Those are not things you find common in animals, even amongst birds, that's some colors that don't exactly flow together. People drawn inspiration from around their world to create, people are also creature of comfort and habit--with the idea of dragon being "fire breathing, bat winged, scaly lizard" or "scale with mane, elemental control and sometimes deity, serpentine wyrm", and then variations based off of that, perhaps scaled beast with feathery wings, or great furred wyrm with webbed wings and fire breathing. Seriously what is with the fire breathing? Have I mention that I'm a shapeshifting sort of dragon? While that is often tied to the eastern sort of draconic beings, my exact combination of dragons are far and few in between. Even the dutch angel dragon within the furry community has certain limitation and character traits that don't align with me. If I hadn't got turned off by the idea of looking anywhere or being misidentify as a horse, I might have find myself drawn to the dutch angel dragon as a sort of maybe paratype, or just friendly dragons that I share similar traits with. But alas.
Every single piece of media or fictional source that has a representation I can find brings me joy. Games centered on collecting dragons like Flight Rising or Dragon Cave does a great job of acknowledging that diversity. I get especially grumpy when dragon maker only has webbed wings and scaly body. At one point I really did not want to put the 3D dragon maker by Dragonita on my Alterhuman Shifts and Self Discovery Tools guide (ohh, guess I finally got a name). You can call me petty however you want, but I was not very happy of something that denies my existence. I'm a strong advocate for draconic diversity, because I am not alone in being "unusual" sort of dragons. Nobody should feel like this, unseen. Dealing with the constant "he or she" as someone nonbinary is more than enough, thank you very much. I feel like as alterhuman, hell, even just within the confine of draconic community or even smaller the dragonkind community, there should be a sort of basic understanding that "dragon" is a abstract term. Like "what is human", "what is dragon" should be a default and nobody gets to decide who is or isn't dragon. To touch back onto what I wrote on Day 1 of this challenge, alterhumanity is a experience, it is a feeling, it is vague and abstract, it is something you know within your essence, or one day you will awaken to it. A dragon is all of that. I did end up finally putting the 3d builder on my guide. I will still prefer Lukas Sotrmskull's Dragon builder though.
Before I let my thought get away from me, lets talk about my other alterhuman identities.
The other side of the spectrum, when you have a almost exact match in sources that are well known, you end up keep getting mistaken as it. My kardiatype looks very alike to Haku from Spirited Away. It gets frustrating when I bring up my kardiatype, and people immediately go "oh, Haku!" It's the same problem with people seeing my self protrait and call that a horse or a goat. Seriously, is like people don't recognize a basic dragon head shape if it isn't scaled and spiked. Horses are neat, goat is fine, and Haku is a very cool dragon. But my kardiatype was not Haku. I'd argue that he was just your generic Japanese storm dragon that may or may not be local deity. Wild thought huh. I like that I get to see glimpse of that dragon through Haku, but I would really rather not deal with yet another case of misidentification in the form of "close enough". My human english name got enough of that treatment.
Amongst my other draconic identities, I have a vague-flicker of Flammie from the mana series. The vaguetype feeling has components of paratype within, precisely due to myself being the sort of dragon I am. Belly plate aside, Flammie looks very close to me. And with my discovery of how suggestive my wing count may be (currently in shifts of at least 4), Flammie is definitely a big contender for media representation of myself.
When it comes to intensionally created identity, me and Akumu, my headmate/mirror self, collectively linked a vaguetype of Aurelion Sol. Now, Aurelion Sol has nothing alike to me, maybe the color is more align with Akumu's, but generally, the eastern noodle form is my least favorite to partake in. It feels like a responsibility, and things are just heavier in a way when I'm in that form. It doesn't have to make much sense. Perhaps I will delve into this one day. One can argue we formed the link due to our kardiatype. But really, it happened because that's the one dragon we were really drawn to (and attempted to main) while playing League, and well, there were two others who were shyvana and smolder respectively, and we wanted to complete the draconic of LoL set for shits and giggles. There not much need to find a representation, because we are the exact representation from the source. But wait, we identify with the concept stage where people dub "unbound form" of Sol. Whelp, guess we gotta look elsewhere again.
It feels like I'm trying to start a topic and well, rant on draconity got me all over the place.
Sometimes it really is a exercise in patience. The more unique you are, the harder it is to find representation. Wouldn't change myself for the world though, I love my uniqueness, and I appreciate how crazily varied dragons can be. Or any other sort of creatures or identities or experiences. Life is wonderful like that.

Hey! If this is presumptuous that's totally fine and you can ignore it, but I saw you mentioning building a website and I wanted to offer any help if you might want it.
I used to work as web developer, left (read: economy sucks and everyone got laid off) to start working on comics with my partner, but we needed a website for that and lo and behold, industry skills came in handy. So I'm more than happy to field questions or help you get started if you don't have another resource!
We use neocities for our comic site & my wife's portfolio site. It's free, literally costs nothing, they've been around for a while which is also reassuring in this era. You can pay $5/mo if you want to get a little more storage space and use your own custom domain, but if you're just using it as an art site/portfolio, then the storage space they offer should be completely fine.
Note: it is *not* a website builder, to use neocities you need to code your own web page using html, which truly isn't as scary as it sounds! w3schools.com is a great resource for learning or referencing html & how to make it look pretty, I used it to teach myself how to do this and managed to eventually land a couple actual tech jobs, so I'm a big fan of it for newcomers.
Anyway, whichever you choose, I think a website is a great idea as an archive, and way more reliable than... well. All of these social media platforms that feel.... impermanent, to say the least ( ´-`)
Oh, and one more thing!! Part of why we chose neocities instead of like... bluehost or other hosting sites (which we had been using before): neocities allows NSFW :)
Ah yes I've been looking at neocities! It seems great, I'm just not very... code minded... It would be something I would need to sit down and learn and I just haven't had the time for that lately. One day soon, perhaps, as certain projects are winding down.
Thank you, I appreciate the thought!

Disclaimers: Spelling mistakes, unhealthy Obsession, Yandere. Taehyung is going to get worse and worse as this goes.
Chapter Two: Encounter
Taehyung entered the mysterious girl's dimly lit space with an aura that felt both enchanting and unnerving. The flickering lights cast a shadow that distorted her figure, making her seem almost otherworldly-like a diamond trapped in a room full of dull stones.
As she laughed, he could feel the air thicken, as if very essence around them was taking on a life of its own. She smiled, but there was something addicting about that smile, a hidden depth that hinted at darker intentions. There was a haunting beauty in her presence, reminiscent of a siren luring sailors to their room, and he mesmerized and unaware, felt himself slipping deeper into her web without her doing anything.
But the more he admired her, the more he realized that this masterpiece held a charm. A chill crept his spine with each word she uttered—a foreboding whisper that warned him he shouldn't be drawn to her allure. There was a lightness in her eyes.
Soyeon looks over and sees Chun-Yung with cousin Seo-jun and a girl. When she looks at her son. She sees him staring at the girl with Chun-Yung. She then looks at her husband and sees the look he was given pleading for her to distract Taehyung.
Soyeon rolls her eyes "Son, ensure you handle the stocks for tomorrow and send the builders to complete the museum." Soyeon said in a stern voice making sure Taehyung heard her and understood. Taehyung turns to face his mother giving her an inserting nod Taehyung younger brother walks over to distract their father.
Taehyung and Soyeon stroll over to Chun-Yung and the mysterious girl. "Chun-Yung, so glad you made it! How's everything with the beauty makeup?" Soyeon beams at Chun-Yung, but her eyes dart back to the mysterious girl like a kid in a candy store.
"Auntie, it's going great! This is my best friend L/N Y/N, she's an amazing artist—she painted that masterpiece in my mom's foyer."
Chun-Yung flashes her best smile, trying to impress. But honestly Soyeon's not the easiest to deal with; she can be, well, a bitch. Everyone's a little scared of her (a lot) except her husband, Lee Bong-Tae—he's like her personal calmness coach!
Taehyung couldn't take his eyes off Y/N since his cousin Chun-Yung mentioned her name: L/N Y/N. It suddenly clicked for him—she was the artist who created that stunt painting in his aunt's foyer. Taehyung was captivated by her beauty that he couldn't form a word. He glanced down at her outfit: a silky, spaghetti strap dress that made her look like she stepped out of a dark romantic novel. She was truly a work of art herself. "Your art is amazing dear you have talent" Soyeon said trying to get Taehyung to talk.
"Nice to meet you I'm Kim Taehyung you are the most astonishing woman I have ever met Ms L/N." Taehyung said trying to flirt with y/n, y/n pulled her hand a little trying not to come off as rude "Thank you guys so muc, it's amazing to finally meet you guys" y/n gave the sweetest smile she could pull before she gave a the little bow and walking away linking arms with Chun-Yung. Taehyung stares at y/n figure walking away he is gonna follow her but his mother stops him "You still need to attend to your guests, so let's get moving!" Taehyung follows his mother's order but still glances at y/n every second he could without getting caught

Another Ocean's Moon
Setting // locality space, a galaxy filled with inhabited planets
Synopsis // Sid, a young human man, teams up with his bitchy middle-aged friend Avis to escape his abusive parents and get back to their planet of origin. Derelict Corridors
Setting // a vague sci-fi galaxy I call "corporate space"
Synopsis // Moochia works dereliction for Rosclial Inc. It's a decent enough gig, recovering resources and crushing up old ships to be recycled. Most importantly, it's a solitary job, and should never involve meeting conversational undead weirdos, but that's just her luck, isn't it?
Tag // #wip: dc, also #c: Moochia, etc. for the characters
I have more WIPs/ideas than this. Check out my master list for more (you can ask me about any of them!).

Hey Derin,
I am thinking about making a website for my writing. There are a lot of options, so I'm kinda overwhelmed.
So I'm asking other authors I know, on and offline, about their websites. Mostly I'm wondering how much code I need to learn and what my upfront and upkeep costs might be.
How did you go about setting up your website? Did you learn code? Do you pay a monthly fee?
Any pointers are greatly appreciated!
My website is through Wordpress.com, although I would've gone with somebody else if the Matt Mullenweg stuff had all preceded me getting a website. You can also use Wix, Canva, Weebly, or whatever other website builder you like.
If you want to build a proper website, you need to code; however, for basically any of these 'free website builder' tools, you don't. I had to do zero coding to build mine, not even any html. I just signed up for a free account and built it from a template, much like making a Tumblr page.
I'm pretty sure all of the options I listed above let you make a free website. There are also multiple smaller free website builders out there. I pay for mine now, so I can control the domain name and provide the stories without any ads (free websites are usually full of ads and I have online ads). But I didn't start paying until I was making enough on Patreon to do so. You absolutely can do it for free; I did for a long time. There are zero upfront costs and zero coding required to do things this way.
You can, of course, code a proper website and buy a domain for it if you have the skills and cash and want more flexibility and control in designing your website. For web serials, I've never found this necessary.
