This mod added a grocery delivery service. Shop and wait until a delivery sim come with a bag. Accept delivery and open the bag, Get the items inside it.
How to use:
There are two way to access this service: 1. Select grocery store rabbit hole --> Request Grocery Delivery Service -Combo rabbit hole will be in Grocery Store... Pie menu
2. Select cellphone or home phone --> Services... --> Call for Grocery Delivery -If there's multiple grocery stores, a dialog will pop up and ask to select one -Can't shop if there's no grocery store in the world
Shop as usual and buy items. Wait until a delivery service sim come and ring the doorbell. Accept it like pizza delivery service. Sim will be charged 30 simoleons for the service.
The grocery bag is from The Sims 4 Cottage Living.
Others:
If the delivery didn't come:
-Use MasterController to check whether there's 4 pizza delivery service sim. Two for pizza, two for grocery (Game needs time to generate sims to fill the spot)

Long distance gestures - Nico Hischier
the swiss love charm au
NICO!HISCHIER X AINSLEY!HUGHES — WARNINGS: nothing just sweet pure content — SUMMARY: Nico arranges for a Vancouver bakery to deliver Valentine’s cake to Ainsley and Freya. Freya insists on calling Nico to thank him, and during the call, Ainsley feels the undeniable pull of his charm, even from thousands of miles away. — WORD COUNT: 2,7K PART OF THE SWISS LOVE CHARM AU
Ainsley isn’t a big fan of Valentine’s Day. It is just another day to her—one filled with pink-and-red displays at the grocery store and overpriced flowers. She has already decided to spend the evening watching cartoons with Freya and Quinn while ignoring the steady ping of romantic posts flooding her social media.
“Why is there even a holiday for this?” she mutters, balancing Freya on her hip as she shoves a stack of mail into the drawer by the door. “It’s all just an excuse to sell cheap chocolate and bad greeting cards.”
Quinn, whom is stretched out on their couch with a bag of chips resting on his chest, raises an eyebrow. “You’re just bitter because Freya’s the only one who’s ever gonna get you a Valentine.”
Freya’s head perks up at her uncle’s words. “Made Mommy a card! Hearts on it!”
“See?” Quinn says with a smirk, gesturing to his niece. “Freya’s got you covered.”
Ainsley rolls her eyes but kisses the top of Freya’s head with a tender smile. “Thanks, sweetheart. At least someone in this house loves me.”
Freya giggles and leans up to give her mom a huge sloppy kiss on the cheek. Before Quinn can make another smart comment, the doorbell rings.
Ainsley glances at Quinn, frowning. “Are you expecting anyone?”
“Nope,” Quinn says, shoving another chip into his mouth, his brows furrowed in confusion and concern.
Sighing, Ainsley shifts Freya onto her other hip and opens the door. A delivery man is standing there with a white box tied with a bright red ribbon.
“Ms. Hughes?” he asks, consulting the clipboard in his hand. His chest is lifting heavily probably from the amount of time he spent in the elevator to get to their floor.
“That’s me,” she says slowly.
“This is for you. Happy Valentine’s Day,” the man says before handing over the box and heading back to the elevator
Ainsley wants to shout at him but it is too late. The doors of the elevator are already closing after him. She shuts the door, staring down at the box in confusion.
“What is it?” Quinn asks, sitting up on the couch now, his curiosity clearly piqued.
“I have no idea,” Ainsley mutters, setting the box on the counter and waiting for Quinn to join them.
Freya is taken into Quinn’s arms, her little hands reaching eagerly for the ribbon. “Open it, Mommy?”
“Hold on,” Ainsley says, her fingers trembling slightly as she pulls the ribbon loose. Lifting the lid, she freezes. Inside is a heart-shaped cake, beautifully decorated with pink frosting. The words Happy Valentine’s Day, Ainsley, and Freya are written in elegant script across the top.
Quinn let out a low whistle, leaning over her shoulder. “Looks like someone’s got an admirer.”
Ainsley shoots him a sharp look, her cheeks heating. “It’s probably just…” She trails off, unable to come up with a reasonable explanation. Because actually, she has none.
“Maybe Jacky and Luke sent it?” she tries, but she knows if it were her younger brother’s they would do something crazier, and by the look Quinn gives her, she only confirms it.
Freya bounces on her uncle’s hip, pointing at the cake. “Can eat? Pleeease?”
Ainsley ignores her brother’s knowing smirk as she reaches for her phone, already suspecting who the sender might be instead of her brothers. She taps out a quick message.
Ainsley - Did you send us a cake?
Her phone buzzes almost immediately.
Nico - Maybe. Do you like it?
Quinn is peering over her shoulder now, reading the message with a grin. “Nico?” he asks, far too amused for her liking. Not that Quinn likes the idea of Nico sending his twin cake but he can’t say it isn’t a nice gesture.
“Shut up,” Ainsley mumbles, but her lips betray her with the tiniest hint of a smile.
Freya tugs on Ainsley’s sleeve, her eyes locked on the cake. “Can eat now, Mommy?”
“Hold on,” Ainsley says, shooting Quinn a warning look as he snickers. “Go wash your hands first, Freya.” Quinn carefully puts her down ruffling her hair.
Freya huffs but obeys, scurrying off to the bathroom. The moment she is out of earshot, Ainsley turns to Quinn. “Don’t start.”
“Oh, I’m starting.” Quinn leans back against the counter, arms crossed. “The guy’s in New Jersey, and he’s still out here sending Valentine’s cakes? That’s some dedication for someone you’ve only met twice.” Even though he’s making fun of it he’s not keen on this idea of Nico’s.
“It’s not like that,” Ainsley says quickly, though the warmth creeping up her neck betrays her. “He’s just… being nice.”
Quinn smirks. “Sure. Because it’s totally normal for a guy to ship a personalized cake to someone he’s just being nice to.”
Ainsley groans and turns her attention back to her phone. She taps out another message.
Ainsley - Freya is very excited, by the way. Ainsley - Thank you, you didn’t have to do that.
His response comes almost instantly.
Nico - I wanted to. She’s a great kid. Nico - And you deserve something nice today too.
Ainsley stares at the screen, her heart doing an annoying little flutter. She is so distracted that she doesn’t notice Freya returning, her hands still a bit damp from washing.
“Mommy, show Nico card now?” Freya asks, holding up the bright pink paper covered in glitter and heart stickers.
Quinn snorts. “This is gold.” But the thing does something to his heart. Seeing his niece being this comfortable around a guy she met only twice makes him a little uncomfortable.
Ainsley shoots him another glare. “Freya, honey, Nico’s in New Jersey. We can’t exactly hand-deliver your card.”
Freya’s face falls for a moment before she brightens up. “Show him on phone!”
Before Ainsley can argue, Freya climbs onto the chair next to her, holding the card up toward the phone camera. “Look, Mommy! Picture for Nico!”
Quinn, who is utterly useless, bursts into laughter. “You’re doomed.”
Ainsley sighs but can’t bring herself to say no to Freya’s excited smile. She snaps a picture of the card and sends it to Nico with a quick caption:
Ainsley - Freya insisted you see her Valentine’s masterpiece. Ainsley - Prepare for glitter.
Nico doesn’t waste any second and replies almost immediately.
Nico - Tell Freya it’s perfect Nico - And it made my day. Nico - But now I feel bad I didn’t give her a card either.
Freya, who is watching over her mommy’s shoulder, furrows her brows.
“He likes it, Mommy?” she asks, completely confused about all the words on the screen.
“Yeah baby he does,” she ruffles her hair with a soft smile. Seeing her daughter this happy makes her happy.
“He likes it! Uncle Quinn, you hear? Nico likes card!”
Quinn ruffles her hair with a grin. “I heard, kiddo. Looks like you’ve got a fan.”
Ainsley groans, burying her face in her hands. “You’re both impossible.”
But even as Quinn teases her and Freya bounces around the kitchen, Ainsley can’t help sneaking another glance at her phone.
Ainsley - Thanks again
She types, hesitating for a moment before adding, Ainsley - You didn’t just make Freya’s day. You made mine too.
The response is simple, but it makes her heart skip.
Nico - Good. That’s all I wanted.
It isn’t much, just a few words, but Nico can picture Ainsley reading them, maybe rolling her eyes, maybe smiling without meaning to. He doesn’t know her that well yet, but he knows enough to guess she probably isn’t used to someone making an effort for her.
Freya, though—Freya makes it easy.
His phone buzzes again, and when he glances at the screen, another picture of the glitter-covered Valentine’s card stares back at him. It is crooked, the stickers are placed haphazardly, and the words To Nico! are written in Freya’s wobbly, oversized letters.
He huffs out a quiet laugh. She made him a Valentine’s card. A fucking Valentine’s card.
And now he kind of wishes he had thought to make one too. Even though it is a childish thing.
Shaking his head, he runs a hand through his hair and opens his camera roll. He scrolls until he finds what he is looking for—a picture from last week, snapped on a whim. It is a shot of the Hudson River at sunset, the water painted in streaks of pink and orange, a few buildings silhouetting in the distance. He took it while he was walking home from dinner, not really thinking much of it at the time.
Now, though, it feels like the right thing to send.
Nico - Tell Freya I owe her a Valentine next year. Nico - But for now, this is for you both. Nico - Since you made my day too.
He attaches the photo and hits send.
It isn’t a cake, which they already have. It isn’t a stuffed animal or something Freya can hold in her tiny hands. But maybe, just maybe, it is enough to remind Ainsley that he is thinking about them—even from thousands of miles away.
His phone buzzes again a few seconds later.
Ainsley - Freya says, ‘Ooooh, so pretty!’ Ainsley - And thank you. It’s beautiful.
A slow warmth spreads through Nico’s chest. He doesn’t know exactly what he is doing, or where this is going, but he knows one thing for sure.
He isn’t just thinking about them today.
He thinks about them every damn day.
Quinn - You knew about Nico’s Valentine’s surprise?
Quinn doesn’t have to wait long for a response, considering in New Jersey, is nine pm and Jack is phone addicted.
Jacky boy – What surprise? Jacky boy – Luke doesn’t know too.
Quinn sighs at that and shakes his head. Jack is not as sly as he thinks he is. Of course, he knows about this and so does Luke.
Quinnifer – Jack Rowden Hughes, you knew! Quinnifer – You little piece of shit!! Quinnifer – Why the hell you did not tell me?
On the other side of America, Jack is lying on a couch with Luke, both laughing at their angry older brother. They had known for about two months now that Nico id planning something to surprise Ainsley, they even helped him.
They knew if they told Quinn, he would fly out of his skin. He is sometimes too overprotective of Ainsley. Not that Jack and Luke aren’t, hell they didn’t like the idea of Nico having a crush on her, but they know him, and they trust him.
And Nico knows he can’t fuck up. He is kind of scared of Quinn when it comes to Ainsley. He heard how he is when it comes to his twin sister.
Jack just shakes his head at the overprotectiveness and types out a quite long response.
Jack boy – Because you are acting like a fucking psycho when it comes to sis.
As soon as he sends it, his phone rings and his brother’s face pops on the screen. Jack groans annoyed which makes Luke look over at him. Luke's eyes roll back when they see Quinn’s face.
“Pick it. You know he won’t stop.”
“Hello there, my dear brother!” Jack says with a cheesy smile.
“What the hell?” Quinn whisper-yells, looking around himself to make sure Ainsley isn’t nearby. “I swear to Stanley Cup if you helped him-”
“Okay, Q. Shut it! We didn’t like the idea from the beginning, but hey, Nico isn’t like the asshole.” Luke says annoyed by his brother’s overprotectiveness.
“Yeah, I know. It was kinda nice of him. You should see Freya; she even made him a fucking card,” He shakes his head pinching the bridge of his nose. “But I don’t like the idea of some man being like this after he met her only two times.”
“That is really nice of her,” Jack says his heart melting over his favorite niece. Before he can say anything else his sister’s voice startles him.
“Quinn! Are you serious?” Ainsley’s head pops on the screen, her eyes full of disbelief. “You are way too overprotective. And you two, thank you for helping him. It was nice of him and you.”
“You are welcome, gorgeous.” Luke winks at her, a blush coating her cheeks.
“Anyway, I and Freya are going to call Nico to thank him. And you, young man,” she looks at Quinn with furrowed brows. “Stop it!” with that she angrily walks out of the room, leaving her three brothers alone.
Annoyed by Quinn’s overprotectiveness she walks inside her room, where is Freya impatiently waiting for her mom so they can finally call Nico.
“Mommy, call!” she shrieks and makes a grabby hand at her mom.
“Minute baby! Mommy has to change her clothes first,” she says while she stands in front of the wardrobe, thinking about what she should wear.
“Mommy!” Freya whines kicking her legs as she lays on her back.
“Okay! Mommy doesn’t need to change.”
She doesn’t even know why she thought about changing, it isn’t like she needs to look good in front of Nico.
As she sits down, Freya climbs on her lap, her tiny hands reaching for the phone she is holding in front of them.
“What do we say when Nico pics up baby?”
“Hello, Nico!” Freya giggles as she watches her mom click on Nico's contact and FaceTime him.
It takes a few seconds before Nico’s face pops on the screen and Freya giggles from excitement.
“Grizzly!” she shrieks, her face being the only thing Nico can see.
“Freya!” Ainsley gasps in disbelief, while Nico only laughs at the nickname. She takes the phone from her daughter’s hands and rests it against the pillow so both of them can be seen. She grabs Freya’s shirt when she almost falls face straight down on the bed and sits her on her lap. “We don’t say things like-”
“Hey, it’s okay,” Ainsley is interrupted by Nico’s laughter. “I kinda look like one.”
“You like card?” Freya asks, crawling from Ainsley’s lap closer to the phone, this time her nose and eyes taking over Nico’s screen.
“I love it,” he smiles when he hears the sweet giggles coming from her small mouth. “Freya, would you mind moving back a little bit so I can see your mommy?” he asks, grinning when Freya nods her head and moves back on Ainsley’s lap. Ainsley soothes the hair from her daughter’s face away, her cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
“You should see her face when I picked her up from preschool and she told me she has a surprise for you.” Ainsley giggles, her eyes not leaving Freya whose attention is now on her stuffed bunny.
“I can imagine that.”
“Anyway, thank you again for the cake. It was delicious, right Fre?” she nudges her shoulder to get her attention.
“Yes, yummy.” Even though she answers, her attention does not leave the bunny for a second.
“Well, I am glad you liked it. But the credits go to Jack and Luke.” He says shyly, scratching the back of his neck.
“Yeah, I know,” she giggles, sitting more comfortably. The conversation between her and Nico takes another hour or so before she excuses herself that she needs to batch Freya and feed her.
It is when she’s just sitting on the couch that Quinn comes to her with chocolate in his hand and a nervous smile on his lips.
“I am sorry sis. I know I was acting like an asshole, but you have to understa-” he rambles out, standing in front of her.
“I do Quinny. It’s just annoying how overprotective you are.” She sighs, snatching the chocolate from his hands. A giggle leaves her mouth when Quinn jumps on her, tickling her sides.
“Stop it!” she giggles, squirming under Quinn’s body. “Quinifer!”
“Okay, okay.” He says between laughs, rolling down from her.
“You know she called him a Grizzly?” she says after a while, her fingers playing with the hem of her shirt.
“Really?” he chuckles, pride swirling through his chest. “Well, he kind of looks like one.” Ainsley glares at him, but the playful smirk on his lips softens her and she smiles.
But he is handsome Grizzly.

Notes: Hi! I swear I didn't dissappear it's just that adut life is really complicated and I kinda forgot my inspiration for this series, but after reading the first two chapters I knew I wanted to write again so here I am. I already have the script for the fourth chapter, that actually was going to be in the third but I just wrote a lot for this one so it had to be passed to the next chapter. For those who are still here thank you so much. Likes, reblogs, comments are always appreciated. English is not my first language so pardon me if anything is misspelled or grammatically incorrect. Also the main idea came from a webtoon but I can’t remember it’s name. Enjoy!
Masterlist | Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5 | Support me?
While you and Jiwoo are in dreamland Taehyung decides to order a pizza since his pantry is basically empty, which upsets him because he can't take care of you as a good partner would I have to buy groceries first thing in the morning. During the waiting time for the delivery he just watches you sleep, even if he thinks it's creepy, in his eyes you're so perfect and he's so happy he finally found you that he doesn't care, as long as you don't know of course; after 35 minutes the pizza arrives with an ecstatic Taehyung giving a very good tip.
Walking toward his bedroom, the leopard finally wakes you up after having an internal battle about letting you sleep or feeding you. You start to feel light touches on your face, not knowing what they were but liking the warmth they provide, you get closer to the source; awakening more you realize those touches are little kisses on your cheeks, and never been woken up like that you open your eyes a little bit, only to find a boxy smile, brown eyes, dirty blonde hair and a pair of animal ears with yellow spots surrounded by black on top of the head. A little bit surprised, but not scared, you fully open your eyes because of the closeness between you two. "What happened?" Your voice comes out a little bit groggy, something Taehyung finds cute "nothing happened, I just decided to order pizza and it just got here" he says turning towards the bedside table to hand you a plate with pizza on it "Thanks Taehyung" you say staring deeply at the pizza, it surprises you that in this world there is something called pizza and it's really similar too, which only adds more questions about this place and the similarities it has with your own world. However your train of thought stops when your stomach makes a very loud rumble "I'm really hungry, sorry" you say sheepishly looking at the plate but definitely not at Taehyung "It's okay, you've had a long day Beautiful" he says adding the pet name just because he loves this flustered side of you, apparently your stomach was so loud Jiwoo says "Hey N/N, did you buy pizza for yourself again?" And wakes up completely to recognize her surroundings "Oh it's Taehyung" she says looking for her piece of pizza but can't find it "Mmm...Taehyung, did you only bring pizza for F/N" she asks unbelievably "No?...I mean of course not, yours is down the hall" the leopard nervously responds looking everywhere but Jiwoo "I'll bring it immediately" he answers walking out of the room to bring her a slice.
While you were sleeping and then enjoying an awesome pizza someone was climbing up the same mountain you climbed down that day, just with a very different purpose...a more evil one. When they got to the cave they immediately noticed something different...like something is missing, walking inside faster they find that the precious gem, the most powerful thing there is in this world, is not where it's supposed to be. "Damn it" they scream angrily "Who the hell took my precious gem".
After enjoying a very delicious pizza, OMG is possible that the pizza here is better than the one home you couldn't help but think while drinking the soda Taehyung, who left to wash the dishes, brought for you. Feeling really tired from the bizarre and eventful day you ask Jiwoo "Hey, where is all of our stuff…and isn't this room really big for a guest room?" with a smile Jiwoo tells "This is not a guest room, I'm pretty sure it's his room" "What? So when we came in he deliberately put me inside his room?" you ask with surprise and eyes wide open "Yep, I'm guessing he wanted to be with you, but I don't think in a sexy way…yet" "Jiwoo!...don't say that" you whisper-yell afraid Taehyung might hear the nonsense she just said, at this point you feel blushing so much in just a day is going to affect your health "Oh, and I took everything out of the backpacks and accommodated in the bathroom or that drawer I found empty, well a lot of drawers are empty like he's expecting someone to fill them one day" Jiwoo says the last while wiggling her eyebrows at you and the only thing you do is throw the nearest pillow you could find at her, landing on her face. Taehyung couldn't help but smile while listening to the conversation you two were having, it's not his fault his animal ears are very sensitive and have better hearing, and in all honesty Jiwoo wasn't wrong; when he was looking for a place to live he knew he had to have a big space for when his partner moved in which included leaving empty drawers where they could leave their stuff without problem. "No, but for real N/N I think he wanted to stay here with you because after putting you down on the bed he walked out and I think I heard my name, maybe leading me to a guest room, but there was no way I was going to leave you alone with a man we barely know" "Thanks Ji" you throw her a grateful smile, Taehyung hears this and his smile turns into a sad frown Does she not want me? He couldn't help but think No, no…maybe she just wants to feel comfortable with someone she knows…yes, yes that's it…I just have to win her trust and we're gonna become closer…and-and then we can sleep together and I can get to know her and she can get to know me all these thoughts transform that frown into a big smile again.
Knocking on the his room's door, Taehyung finds you trying to get up "Hey hey Beautiful, what are you doing? You heard Nia, you can't put pressure on your ankle" he rushes to your side and grabs your head and stomach to put you back on the bed "Mmm Taehyung? I need to change myself into my pj's" you show him what's in your hands, a pair of pants and shirt, and a tiny smile I think he really cares about me "Oh, uh sure-sure" he takes a step back and touches his neck in embarrassment "Pretty smart huh? N/N is very through, we had a lot of important stuff in our backpacks, who knew they could become handy" Jiwoo says stepping out of the bathroom, Wow…she even knows how to take care of others, my Beautiful is so smart and cute and likes to take care of others it's the only thing the leopard can think after hearing that "So, do you need help to get to the bathroom?" he asks already putting his hands under your neck and knees "Oh no there's no nee…" you start but Jiwoo interrupts "Don't worry big guy, I can help her just fine…you should go and sleep too, today has been a very long day and you should take rest" the smirk she's wearing grows wider when Taehyung unconsciously pouts "Taehyung? Ji is right, you must be exhausted too…you know carrying me today, dealing with us and everything" you smile at him in appreciation and a little embarrassed after saying the carrying part "It's okay I don't mind taking care of you, it's a great honor…but I guess you're right I am a little tired so I'm going to grab my PJ's and head for the guest room" So this IS his room you and Jiwoo think, he walks towards the walk-in closet and exist with clothes in his hand, however before leaving the room he approaches the side of the bed you're in and crouches down next to you "Goodnight Beautiful" he closes the distance between you two and you're thinking OMG he's going to kiss me on the lips he deviates and kisses your forehead, and you feel how that kiss is way more romantic than anything else he could've done. The leopard separates from you seeing how you have your eyes closed and very red cheeks. Opening your eyes you see the biggest boxy smile yet, knowing you now have him in your mind he stands up and exists saying "Goodnight" to Jiwoo, she just waves her hand back at him.
Replaying what just happened in your head you're unknowingly touching your forehead, Jiwoo snaps her fingers in front of you to take you out of your daze "N/N...N/N hey hey!" "Huh? Jiwoo did that just happened? Did he really kissed me?" still with your hand up your head you ask with big sparkling eyes "N/N" she sighs "He just kissed your forehead…let's get you up and into the bathroom so you can change" nodding at Jiwoo's words you grab her shoulder and support your arm on the bed and take a boost to get up without putting your bad foot on the floor. With Jiwoo's help you hop to the bathroom floor "I can take it from here Ji" "Are you sure" "Yeah, I need to do certain things here by myself and when I get out you can help me hop back to the bed" "Okay, be careful" you nod and close the door, turning around you hop towards the toilet and relieve yourself after all that happened today you really needed to go, thinking it would be best to change your clothes while sitting you do it successfully; getting up from the toilet you hop until you're in front of the sink and proceed to wash your teeth with your toothbrush Ji had left ready for you, watching your face on the mirror you see how sweety and dirty your face is I need to wash my face with that in mind you start looking through Taehyung's stuff until you find a face soap and moisturizer Taehyung I'm sorry for going through your stuff but I really need to at least wash my face…I miss my skincare products you sigh and open the faucet to splash water on your face and with a little of the liquid soap you make foam and wash your face, you spend a minute getting rid of all the dirt and sweat from the day and open the faucet again to wash all the soap from your face and then take a bit of moisturizer to apply it to your face. In another room a happy leopard is thinking I hope my Beautiful is using my products, I know Jiwoo said they brought certain necessities but not everything can fit into those backpacks. Once done you open the door and Jiwoo gets up from the bed and walks towards you, offering you her shoulder you grab it and start hopping towards your side of the bed, laying down Jiwoo puts your foot on top of a pillow and walks for the wall turning off the light and goes back to her side to lay down "Goodnight Ji" "Goodnight N/N"; after hearing you Taehyung also goes to sleep knowing you're now resting, in his house, under his protection.
On your second day you and Jiwoo wake up next to each other under the sunlight entering through the curtain but also because of the ruckus you're hearing outside the room. "What the hell is that guy doing so early in the morning" Jiwoo says covering her face with her arm to prevent the sunlight hitting her eyes "I don't know maybe we should go and see" once you say that Jiwoo gets up and goes to your side to help you up and walk/hop to the bathroom to wash your teeth. Once that is done you go towards the sound and find Taehyung murmuring "Damn it, I hope she didn't wake up by that pan falling" "I guess that's an understatement, by the way you did wake us up" Jiwoo enters with you to the kitchen, and the boy turns around surprised with big wide eyes "I-I didn't hear you getting up, I'm sorry…Did I wake you up?" saying the last with a sad pout on his face Why is he so cute? Shouldn't he be intimidating being a leopard and all? You couldn't help but think watching his face and sitting in a stool in front of him (separated by the aisle of course) . "Ummm…yes" you say with a nervous smile "But don't worry, I mean after all we are your guests…What time is it?" you say confused "It's 7:30…I wanted to leave you breakfast before leaving for work, but I woke up late since my phone died and everything went downhill from there" "Wait, phone?" Jiwoo asks surpirsed, and Taehyung only shows her an actual cellphone just like the ones you have in your world but it looks way more advanced "Mmm…have you never seen a phone before?" Taehyung asks Where are they from? Because everyone has phone, don't they? "We know what a phone is, I guess we just didn't think you would have too" You answer him "Why wouldn't I have one?" While saying this Jiwoo exists the kitchen and comes back with your phones "Ours don't work here" she shows him Wow these ones are kinda old no wonder they don't work Taehyung thinks but doesn't say anything.
Interrupting his examination on your phones, his own chimes with a new message from his manager Hey Taehyung we are all ready for the shoot, where are you? "Damn it" He murmurs "Do you have to go?" He nods sadly at your words "It's okay we can cook it's no problem, we are already imposing so much to expect you to cook as well" and he grimaces because there's not much to cook with "It's just that there is not much to cook with…I'm sorry, I'm such a bad partner" he ducks his head with his animal ears also down in embarrassment and sadness "I swear I can take good care of you…it's just yesterday was grocery shopping day but I found you and your ankle was hurt and-and…" he's just rambling and talking so fast you interrupt him by calling his name "Hey, hey Taehyung? Taehyung?" he raises his head to look at you, and you notice his eyes with unshed tears and still animal ears down just like a kitty I have to say something to calm him, something that can work, that way he can go to work otherwise I'm afraid he's going to stay here and without a job…whatever his job is "It's okay…not having groceries doesn't mean you're a bad partner…uh…this is a way for me to show you I can be a good partner as well don't you think? I mean proving to you that I can cook…and you're a-a good partner because you took really good care of me yesterday" you smile at him Is she accepting me? Is she falling for him already? There were two kind of thoughts after your words. With a boxy smile and no more tears in his eyes he says "Okay, I'll leave now" "Okay, have a great day at work" you wave while he picks up his phone and keys, once he's at the door Jiwoo talks "Wait Taehyung, what day it is?" "Well, yesterday was the last day of the weekend, today is Alday the first day of the week" with a confused stare he answers What a strange question "Okay, thank you, have a nice day" "Bye Beautiful" he opens the door and turns to you "Please eat" "Bye Taehyung" you say in a soft tone and very bright cheeks, and he closes the door once he got that cute reaction out of you.
"Well we're definitely not in Bastion" Jiwoo says once the leopard is out of the apartment "So are we really considering the possibility of teletransportation" you say observing her walking towards the other side of the aisle facing you "I don't think is a possibility anymore N/N, I mean unless we are having the same lucid dream we're actually talking with people who have animal traits, animal parts and can transform into animals" "Also, it's a world so similar yet advanced than ours" you add "Wait, I'm hungry. Let's make something before we continue this" Jiwoo laughs "Please don't change…ever" you throw her a smile at her words.
Wow he was not lying when he said there was no groceries you smile a little remembering his sad face and I'm not lying about how I almost coo when his animal ears got down just like a kitty…he's definitely making me feel things…but I have to pull myself together I just met him and we're from very different worlds you sigh at that last thought while hopping and looking through the refrigerator and the pantries "Sooooo I can make us meat with tomatoes and onion sauce, hard eggs and milk, is that okay with you?" you turn to look at her "Yes, but you shouldn't be standing up you're gonna make your ankle hurt" Jiwoo says worriedly "First, I'm not supporting my ankle" you show your bandaged ankle at her "and second, you can't cook even if it's to save your life so this has to be on me…hey were are the tuppers from the night at the mountain?" you start cooking the eggs and the meat "Heeey, it's not my fault I'm not particularly skilled at cooking and I took them out yesterday and put them at the dishwasher I guess he washed them" "Oh okay" a small smile passed through your lips while you chop the tomatoes and onions for the sauce "N/N what was that about being a good partner for him by cooking" you turn at her words and watching everything was cooking well, you walk to the aisle and sit to rest your ankle "Well…I mean you saw his face, he was so sad because of groceries and I knew he wasn't going to take any answer so I said something I knew would work…besides he had to go to work" you defend yourself "So you believe him? The whole partner Connection thing?" "I don't know Ji, we are in a different world like you said and it is known that some animals partner for life so what if here it's something like that" "Wait are you saying you are accepting him?" she raises her eyebrows in a sexy joking manner, you stand up when the meat starts to sizzle "I don't know…I do feel something when he looks at me and when he calls me beautiful" you say the last word lower and with your heart racing just by thinking of the he says the word, with so much emotion and tenderness "OMG I can't believe it took for us to be in a whole different world for you to be interested in someone" Jiwoo's tone is like she's offended, and yeah, once you turn to see her face there is an offended expression on it "But who knows if it lasts, maybe is a malfunction because how can we be together when we are from so far away" "I think…maybe…this is the reason we came here" you look at her with thoughtful expression "I mean when you two are looking at each other it's like I'm not even here…and I'm pretty sure you forget about your best friend at those moments" and you can't believe she's pouting "I-I-I do not!" "I can't blame you, he's really cute and hot" she smiles and winks at you, feeling your whole body palpitating at how fast and loud your heart is moving inside you, and knowing the best thing to do to avoid her is turning around, turning off the stove and plating the breakfast. Jiwoo stands up to take the plates and puts them on the aisle, you hop and sit on the stool and start eating with her doing the same in front of you with a teasing smile.

When Dick was fired and he went to live in Bludhaven, he didn't tell anyone where he was staying. He wasn't in contact with Bruce and Alfred and resigned himself to the fact that they didn't care about him as anything more than Robin.
Then one day, he got a package in the mail. It was on the anniversary of his parents' death. There was no note, nothing, but the address was written in a familiar script, all neat and small. But Bruce had no idea where he was, and he wouldn't send him anything anyways because he didn't care, right?
But the packages kept coming, more frequently each time. They weren't anything special, small trinkets- gag mugs, superman merch, chocolates, a coat in the winter for when it got cold, a new shirt etc. There was never a note or any indication of who the presents were from other than that same writing that Dick had seen for years.
He ignored it, the gifts were probably for someone who knew the old owner of the flat or from someone else who knew Dick. Nevermind that they were all things picked out as if especially for him, all his favorites, things that basic acquaintances wouldn't know about him. Nevermind that no one knows his address but there's one man in Gotham with the resources to find out. Nevermind that there was no one that Dick knew enough in Gotham that they would send him things. Nevermind that some of the gifts hinted at Robin, at Nightwing. Because it simply wasn't possible for Bruce to be the one sending these gifts. That would mean he cared, and he didn't. And if Dick ran to the door every time the mail was delivered and if he carefully kept each present safe, then no one had to know.
After a few months, there was another delivery. It was out of schedule. Usually B̶r̶u̶c̶e̶ the anonymous gifter sent their packages at the end of each week. But this came in the middle of the week, and was in an envelope instead of the usual box.
Instead of the handwriting that Dick had begun to expect on each package, there was a different one. Still familiar- though Dick was more used to seeing it on grocery lists rather than important documents, post it notes, and more recently bludhaven addresses- but the letters were written in cursive, swooping and flowing on the envelope.
He opened it up to find a letter. It was crumpled and had then been smoothed out, as though it wasn't meant to be sent. There were areas on the page where drops of water ('or were they tears?' Dick couldn't help but wonder silently) had smudged the ink.
On the page was the script that he knew, different from the envelope. It was addressed to him, saying the words that he had been longing to hear for months. Telling him how much he was cared for, how he would always have a home in Gotham. Telling him how proud he was of him, how much his parents would love to see him right now. Begging him to come home.
And Dick could no longer deny who the packages were from. Who the letter was from. Could no longer pretend Bruce hated him. How could he, when evidence to the contrary was staring right at him? When Bruce had been thinking of him and sending him things he knew he loved for months?
Dick went home that very evening, to go visit his dad. Things weren't fixed, and Dick wasn't moving back (at least not right away), but there was hope. And both of them were the happiest they had been since their fight.

we gotta stop telling moms* to learn to ask for and accept help
this is a pseudo-mental-health bullshit way of subtly individualizing a multilayered structural and societal (often classist) problem wherein people in general, parents especially, mothers specifically, and neurodivergent mothers to the extreme, are left to fend for ourselves in ways that are frankly unprecedented in the history of human beings
I'm sure there are people who struggle to ask for help. (I've never been one of them.) What I'm saying is, even if they could learn to, it wouldn't solve anything!
Let's look at the assumptions behind "you need to learn to ask for help!"
That there's someone to ask. Who tf are we meant to be asking? If you live in a culture where families have scattered, you might not have any family nearby. Maybe you're lucky enough to have a partner, but if so, I feel like we can already assume you're asking for help from them, and them from you. (If you're not, that's a whole separate issue.) But often the overwhelm isn't such that an equitable division of labor between two parents can solve the problem. I have one non-partner family member nearby whom I can ask for help, and that actually feels pretty lucky.
That people you ask will agree to help. I recently messaged the entire school community list begging someone to drive one of my kids home on Wednesdays, figuring that many people must be going in that direction anyway and surely someone would be willing to stop the car and let my kid out at the end of my street. When I didn't get any responses from the wider community, I sent a smaller plea to the parents in my kids' classes. Nothing! Nada!
That our problems are such that others can (easily) help. There's a tragic het script that's like "I don't bother to ask him for help because I end up doing more work to get him to help than it would've been to do myself" (and yes that's fucked), but that's not even what I'm pointing to here. There are so many ways that the structures of our society make it so that people can't get help from others. School pickup, for example: most schools have policies that only parent/guardians or someone given prior permission can pick up students. If a parent is unexpectedly in a jam, this makes finding help a lot trickier and probably involves calling the school and trying to grant last-minute permission. Helping a kid with homework, for example: No matter what I do, teachers email/call me. This means that if I assign this task to my partner or some other person, I have to constantly be an in-between who is like, the arbiter of information. Going to the pharmacy: once I went to the pharmacy to help a neighbor with a kid who had been vomiting for 12 hours straight, and it was so difficult. First I had to pick up their insurance card, write down the kid's name, dob, etc. I still didn't know half the answers to things they asked me as I painstakingly eventually managed to pick up this kid's prescription.
That you have money to pay for outsourcing. Often, when it comes down to it, the only way our society seamlessly allows for help is through monetizing the tasks. It's possible to hire housecleaners or a nanny, for example. You can pay for grocery delivery. But (even if you're totally fine with becoming an employer, which I've never been) is that financially within reach for most people? No!!!
That the tasks that are hardest for you are tasks that can be outsourced. With adhd, my biggest chore struggles are getting myself to water the plants and getting myself to fill the pill organizers. These are not the easiest chores to get help with! I mean, even laundry would be easier, as you could chuck it all into a giant bag and hand it over to a service to be washed. But plants? They're all over my house and on different watering schedules. The pill organizers? That's controlled substances (Adderall, baby) and it's confusing with multiple times of day, etc -- who is going to take that on? Even my partner is too worried to get it wrong.
That, even if you have money, the service you need exists. I really want help with food preparation, but I have MCAS and specific dietary needs. Also, I don't want help with dinners (my partner does that) so much as I want help with snacks/lunch. I know what I would make if I had the energy to. There are no services in my area that could help me. I guess I could hire a personal chef, but I can't even begin to afford that and even then, many wouldn't work bc they're not all willing to work with different dietary needs. I tried finding something I could order by mail, but there's nothing that's a great fit and it's all too expensive for me.
The problem is not that moms don't know how to ask for and accept help. Every time we say that, we reinforce the idea that the problem is an individual one, that the fault lies with moms. It's a structural one, and it doesn't. Many of us are well aware of how to ask for help. If we aren't asking, it's because we know it's futile.
*The choice to gender this as "moms" is a conscious one, even though it also applies to some men and nb people. In my view, it really is a gendered problem that overwhelmingly affects women who are mothers. Because of that, generalizing to "people" or "parents" seems to me like it would be watering down the problem, at best, or erasing the gendered component of the problem, at worst. We also shouldn't say "you need to learn to ask for help" to dads, nonbinary parents, and non-parents—but we generally don't say that to those groups anyway! The vast majority of the time, I see this being said specifically to mothers. Moreover, the response that dads get to asking for help is often different. A dad asking for help strikes people as going above and beyond and is therefore more likely to trigger people to actually help him. Think about dads whose wife goes out of town and all these people bring him casseroles. Our society is often really good at giving some help—but only in extreme cases (emergencies like acute sickness or hospital stays, grief, ….a dad alone with kids for some reason, etc), and moms asking for help with mundane things simply does not count as a justification for help in most people's minds.
