La violonchelista Raphaela Gromes combina una grabación del famoso concierto romántico para violonchelo de Dvořák con obras profundamente conmovedoras de los compositores ucranianos Valentin Sylvestrov, Hanna Havrylets, Yuri Shevchenko y Stepan Charnetskyi.

Tras el tremendo éxito de su álbum Femmes (2023), la violonchelista Raphaela Gromes, ganadora del premio OPUS Klassik, publica un nuevo álbum, Dvorák: Concierto para violonchelo, que incluye uno de los conciertos para violonchelo más conocidos junto a inspiradoras y conmovedoras piezas de compositores ucranianos. Está inspirado en la visita de Gromes a Kiev en diciembre de 2023, donde interpretó el Concierto de Dvorák con la Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Ucrania y su director titular, Volodymyr Sirenko, para mostrar su solidaridad con el pueblo ucraniano.

La pieza central del álbum es el Concierto para violonchelo de Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), que es una de las piezas para violonchelo absolutamente favoritas de Gromes. La obra combina temas de amor, pérdida y trascendencia, representa la cima de la expresión romántica y refleja el profundo anhelo de Dvořák por su patria bohemia. Con el objetivo de integrar la música ucraniana en el contexto europeo de la música clásica, Raphaela Gromes también presenta en este álbum obras de compositores ucranianos. "Oración por Ucrania" de Valentyn Sylvestrov (nacido en 1937) encarna la esperanza y la resistencia del pueblo ucraniano en medio de su lucha por la paz, al tiempo que capta la intensidad emocional y la calidad meditativa de su música. La pieza "Tropar" de Hanna Havrylets (1958-2022), profundamente conmovedora, hunde sus raíces en las tradiciones corales sagradas ucranianas, mostrando el patrimonio cultural de la nación y la profunda conexión de la compositora con su tierra natal. La obra de Juri Schevchenko (1953-2022) "We Are", una paráfrasis lírica del himno nacional ucraniano, y la poderosa pieza folclórica de Stepan Charnetskyi (1881-1944) "Chervona Kalyna" evocan el espíritu perdurable de un pueblo que anhela la paz, la soberanía y la libertad.

La violonchelista Raphaela Gromes, ganadora del premio OPUS Klassik, debutó como solista a los 14 años, cuando interpretó el concierto para violonchelo de Friedrich Gulda, que mereció los mayores elogios del público y la prensa. Entre otros galardones, obtuvo el Primer Premio del Concurso Richard Strauss en 2012, el Primer Premio del Concurso Internacional Fiorindo de Turín en 2013, así como el Premio del Concurso Alemán de Música 2016 en la categoría de violonchelo solista. Además de su carrera como solista, también se dedica a la música de cámara. Junto con su compañero de dúo, el pianista Julian Riem, habitualmente ofrece conciertos por toda Alemania y otros países. Todas sus grabaciones para Sony Classical recibieron críticas fantásticas tanto por la elección del repertorio como por la interpretación musical. Con una forma de tocar cautivante y enérgica, ha ido creando de forma constante un repertorio diverso, rompiendo una y otra vez las fronteras de los géneros. En 2023 celebró un éxito asombroso con su doble álbum Femmes, que entró inmediatamente en el nº 1 de las listas alemanas de música clásica y se convirtió en el 8º álbum clásico más vendido del año 2023.

En dicho espacio se trabaja con compañía de la gente de pueblo Vivo, de esta manera se va recaudando divisas por medio de los NFTs, para poder comprar árboles para ese hermoso proyecto. 

Esta colección de Charles Briton, es muy valorada, por un gran número de ilustradores y ilustradoras, que quieren a este ya póstume dibujante.
