neville disse em uma de suas palestras;
You can revise the day and change the events of that day to align with your ideal. And if you do it nightly, you will find that your outer world is molded in harmony with your inner change.
i, topic ⭐️ o que é a revisao?
1. Escolha a situação desejada.

🇺🇸: So, I was still a little unsure about my original ladybug redesign, so I tried to make some alternatives with other changes and options.
In the second Image, there are 6 different items that I'm not sure which options I should pick: shirt (purple), sleeve length (orange), 'belly'/torso (green), gloves (blue) (connect or not to the arm, like 1 and 4), shorts (yellow) and boots (red). Which one do you prefer from each of these items? (Ps.: the already "built up" combinations are not variations I already "estabilished"! I just put some options together at random so it was easier to visualize them, but you can say any combination you want. I'm also not sure if I'm keeping the sleeves of the shirts and shorts with the golden details, but I'm already certain I'll keep the parts that show the sewing). (Ps.2: I didn't include the cape just so it was easier to see all the different parts, but I didn't remove it from the costume, it's still there).
The first pic is my favorite combination, but I also like shirt 5, belly/torso 3 and glove 1...
My main problems with the first version were mainly the upper part of the body (shirt and torso), but I also wasn't very happy neither with the original boots, nor with the way the shorts were "glued" to the costume. About the gloves, although I like the og black and simple gloves (to represent a ladybug's paws), I saw someone (unfortunately forgot who it was :/ ) saying that they found it important for ladybug to have red hands because of the scenes of her and chat doing "pound it", since is has focus on their hands, I thought it was an interesting concept and tried to change a little bit so I could keep the gloves, but with red details on them. (Ps.: the gloves are not exactly above the spots in the arms, so please ignore the glove position because it will not cover the spots). Although I like the gloves with darker shades of red, I don't think it is an 'harmonious' choice if that's the only part of the clothes that has that shade (if I don't choose torso 5).
Anyway, if you want you can also suggest any other changes (like "I like glove 1, but without the golden accents) in general!! Also, even if I decide my favorite parts in this one I'll definitely do at least a third redesign hahaha (since there's a specific element I want to include on the costume in general, but I'm still unsure of how I'm doing/including it)

The chosen one
Summary: During the reading of his mother's will, Aleksander Morozov discovers that, so that his inheritance does not end up in the hands of his hated cousin Malyen Oretsev, he will have to get married within a year.

Chapter 16 - Daily life - part 1
Morning came and found Duke Morozov already awake.
Although the previous day had been very tiring, Aleksander had not slept well the night before. And it was entirely his wife's fault.
He hadn't been able to stop thinking about all the things she had said to him in her chambers. He hadn't been able to stop thinking about how he had started that day with no hope that Alina would ever forget Malyen and ended the day discovering that she no longer loved his cousin and that she believed that one day she could love him.
Did his wife have any idea how her words had affected him? Probably not. Or did she regret everything she had said to him? No, he knew Alina well enough to know that she wouldn't have said those words to him if she hadn't wanted him to know the current state of her feelings for both Malyen and him.
Even though he was tired and wanted to sleep, her words repeated in his mind over and over and over again: My love for him did not survive his lies. Followed by: I didn’t want it to be another man waiting for me at the altar this afternoon. I don’t want it to be another man in your place. If I didn’t want to be your wife in every sense of the word, I would have taken the money you offered me and started my life over somewhere else.
Lying in his bed he allowed to blossom the hope that he had stifled during his conversation with Ulla and Genya in Os Kervo, when they had both told him that they believed Alina would not have agreed to marry him if she still had feelings for Malyen, and now, after his conversation with his wife, he knew that the girls had been right. However, they also believed that his wife was also in love with him when she accepted his marriage proposal, and he felt his heart race at the thought that perhaps this was true as well.
Remembering how Alina, his wife, had reacted when he told her they wouldn't be consummating their marriage that night, how disappointed she had seemed to hear that and that she had seemed to want it as much as he had, the way her hands had traveled across his chest and the desire he was sure he had seen in her beautiful brown eyes, made the hope he had been stifling for months grow rapidly like a field of wheat under the spring sun.
And even if he had wanted to, how could he have mustered the strength to stifle his hope after she had told him that she thought one could love him? He had already resigned himself to, and even been happy with, the fact that his marriage was based on friendship, that even though his marriage to the woman he loved was a marriage of convenience, they were compatible people and would have a harmonious and happy relationship. And now he knew that at some point in the future, Alina would be his wife in every sense. At some point in the future his wife would love him. At some point in the future she would be his.
During his sleepless hours, his mind tormented him with images of his wife opening the door that connected their chambers and going to his bed, kissing him and the two of them giving in to desire. His mind tormented him with fantasies in which he did not leave her room, took her in his arms and carried her to her bed, kissed her until they were both breathless, undressed her slowly and kissed every inch of her skin, made her come in his mouth before finally, finally, consummating their marriage.
His fantasies followed him into the world of dreams as he finally fell asleep and his wife was the first thing he thought of when he woke up. The night was beginning to turn to day and his body was still tired, but his mind was eager to begin his life as a married man. He looked at the empty side of his bed and then at the door that separated his chambers from his wife's and couldn't help but wonder: Had Alina managed to sleep? Or had she spent the night as sleepless as he had? Had she ever been tempted to use that key?
Don't be silly, Aleksander, just because she said she might love you one day doesn't mean she spent the night thinking about you! Have hope, but don't overdo it.
Pushing these thoughts away, he stood up and, after getting ready for the day, left the room. He closed the door behind him and, to his surprise, next door his wife did the same.
For a few seconds, the two of them stood there looking at each other. She was beautiful and radiant as if she were the sun itself. He was pleased to see her wearing the fire opal set he had given her as a gift. His eyes wandered over her body, admiring how the light yellow dress highlighted the golden tones of her skin as well as her beautiful brown eyes. Her lips were painted a soft pink that made him want to go over to her and kiss her until they were red and swollen, kiss her until they were both breathless and then some more.
Noticing his gaze, his wife’s cheeks flushed. Alina looked away from him, looking embarrassed by his scrutiny, and held her hands in front of her and fiddled with the ring on her finger.
He couldn’t help but smile smugly at her reaction. He loved seeing her cheeks flush, he loved seeing that shy side of her, and he would love to one day find out how far that blush went. He loved how she tried to hide her reaction, but it kept her from seeing his, kept her from seeing how she had the same effect on him! How he wanted her to know that his heart felt like it was about to rip a hole through his chest every time she smiled. How he wanted her to know how she dominated his thoughts, how she was the main subject of his dreams and his daydreams.
One day she will know, he thought, one day I will be able to tell her all this.
“Good morning, wife,” he greeted her with a satisfied smile.
“Good morning, husband,” she replied in a low tone, seeming to want to go back to her room and hide.
“You look as beautiful as the sunrise,” he complimented, and she looked at him, looking both surprised and delighted by his words.
“Thank you, Aleksander,” she replied.
“Did you sleep well?” he asked as she walked over to him.
She hesitated before answering with a smile and a slight blush on her cheeks, “It took me a while to fall asleep. I think I need to get used to the new bed.” Aleksander gave her a sympathetic smile and she asked, “And you, did you get any rest?”
His first impulse was to tell her the truth, that he had spent much of the night awake thinking about her, but he ended up saying, “I also had trouble sleeping in the new bed.”
He offered her his arm, and with a shy smile she accepted it, and in a comfortable silence they both went down to breakfast.
“Are my sister and cousin still in their rooms?” he asked when they entered the room and found the table empty.
“No, Your Grace,” replied Varya, the maid. “Miss Morozova and Miss Safina have already eaten their morning meal and left. Miss Morozova asked me to inform you that they have gone to visit the Kaminsky family and will not return home until the end of the day.”
He understood immediately what they were doing: giving them space, for the newlywed couple to interact. He didn't think there was any need for them to leave the house since the Little Palace was huge and there was enough space for him and his wife to be alone if they wanted to. However, although he considered it unnecessary, he would not waste the chance to have his wife's attention all to himself.
The newlyweds sat down and, while they ate, talked about the two absent girls and how essential they were in making everything related to the wedding go smoothly.
“Aleksander, I need to show you something,” Alina announced when they had finished their meal. She showed him an envelope and looked him in the eye before adding, “This letter arrived the day before our wedding. It’s from your Aunt Margosha.”
This information surprised him. He had no idea that his wife corresponded with his aunt. He had not seen any letters from her when he found the letters sent by his cousin. However, knowing how close the two were, he should not have been surprised by this.
“I didn’t know you two were in correspondence,” he commented.
“We’ve always been in correspondence, even when I first came to work here,” his wife explained with a tender smile. “I couldn’t just cut off all contact with her. It would not only worry her, it would make her sad.”
“Does my aunt know that you work here?” he asked.
“No. She believes that I am working as a governess for a family that lives in Ivets,” she replied. “Since Alexei lives in the same city where I said I would work, he received her letters and sent them to me, and he sent mine to her.”
That explained why he hadn’t seen any letters with his aunt as the sender.
“All that trouble to keep her from finding out where you were or what you were doing?” he asked.
“Not really. If your aunt knew the truth, she would be very opposed to the idea of me accepting a position so inferior to what my education would allow me to find, and I have no doubt that she would come here personally to fetch me and take me back to Keramzin,” she replied and looked at the envelope in her hands before adding, “Her greatest wish has always been for me to marry, and she has spent the last few years searching for a suitable husband for me.”
That information took Aleksander by surprise.
Alina held up the letter and added, “She wrote to tell me about the new suitor she found for me.”
Aleksander felt as if his body had been plunged into the freezing waters of the northern sea and looked at the letter as if it were a poisonous snake and back at his wife. Even though he knew that Alina was his, that she was officially his wife, he was afraid that somehow his aunt would manage to separate them.
“Who?” he asked, unable to hide the fear in his voice.
Instead of answering, Alina offered him the letter. He hesitated for a few seconds before accepting it. He held the envelope with trembling hands and carefully took the letter out, as if he expected the paper to bite him.
He took a deep breath and read:
My dear girl, How are you? I hope my words have found you well and that you have been able to make progress with little Marie. I remember how my beloved Anna had difficulty with numbers and I have no doubt that you will be able to help your tutee overcome her difficulties. Despite the pain in my knees, things are going very well here at home. I am so excited about my boy's wedding! His bride is the perfect woman for him and I already love Miss Nazyalenskaya as if she were my own, just like you my dear girl. I look forward to you two meeting each other, as I know that fraternal love will blossom between you two instantly, and I hope to have you both by my side soon.
Aleksander could not help but think how wrong his aunt had been not only about Miss Nazyalenskaya's true character but also about the fact that she and Alina would have had a good relationship when they met. He had no doubt that his wife preferred to keep as far away from the other girl as possible and that Miss Nazyalenskaya would certainly feel offended when she learned that she had been rejected because he had chosen to marry a servant.
He continued reading:
I write with even more wonderful news than last time! Do you remember Colonel Vladomir Gusev? I believe you do, since the Colonel has lived in the area since before you arrived at the orphanage, and you have been kind enough to play the piano to entertain us on several occasions. You may recall that he was widowed a few weeks before you left us to take up your position at Ivets, and now, with the time of mourning over, he is looking for a new wife. He confided this to me during his last visit, and I did not hesitate to mention your name and suggest that you would be the perfect choice. I am proud to say that he left my residence with the idea of marrying you planted in his mind and that not a week later he wrote to me asking if it would be possible for you to come to Keramzin so that he could get to know you better and, I suspect, ask that you make him the happiest man by accepting to marry him. I know you must already be thinking of replying to this letter with a denial of his request, but, my dear and beloved girl, I earnestly ask you to think about it, if not for yourself, then for the affection that exists between us two. You have turned down every other suitable suitor I have arranged for you, but I need you to bear in mind that he is a man who can provide you with a comfortable life, and even though I love you as if you were my own, I know that a woman in your position will hardly find a better match than this. And he already has children and he won't put the burden of giving him an heir on your shoulders. He wants company, and from experience I know you're great at that. I know that you dream of seeing the world, my girl, and that you would like to do it through your own efforts, but, as much as it pains me to say it, that dream of yours is impossible. Although you are a talented, resourceful and sweet girl, there is not much that you can achieve on your own, but these qualities can guarantee you a good marriage. So I implore you to think carefully before you answer. I implore you to consider the fact that it will be easier to realize your dreams when you have access to Colonel Gusev's fortune. I implore you to allow yourself to think about how much easier and more satisfying your life as a wife would be for you. Yours, Margaretha Oretseva
Aleksander felt his hands shaking as he finished reading, but now the shaking was due to anger and not fear, and he took a deep breath to try to regain his calm. How could his aunt think, how could she suggest that this man was a good match for Alina, the girl she claimed to love as if she were her own?
He knew Colonel Gusev and was even more familiar with his reputation. Gusev was an irritable and authoritarian man who was known for being a strict husband and an even stricter father. He had been married four times, had five daughters with his wives, and from what Aleksander remembered from his conversations with the man, he dreamed of having a son before he died. His three eldest daughters had already married and lived far away from their father, and from the gossip he had heard, they had cut off all contact with him. Gusev was an unpleasant man, and his aunt thought that Alina, his talented and brilliant and curious Alina, would be the perfect candidate to be Gusev’s new wife.
He couldn't help but imagine his Alina married to Gusev and felt himself burning with jealousy. He had no doubt that the Colonel would be happy with her, but Alina would have a miserable life with him. Yes, he would give her a comfortable life, but his rigidity and authoritarianism would kill her inside quickly. Then he felt relief taking the place of jealousy. Alina was married to him and safe from that fate. Alina was his wife, she had chosen to stay with him and that letter, Colonel Gusev's proposal and his aunt's wishes no longer had any importance. None of that could interfere in their lives.
Aleksander looked at Alina and couldn't help but give her a smug smile before commenting, “My aunt will be quite surprised when she learns that you have, in fact, gotten a much better match than she ever thought possible.”
Alina smiled before commenting, “I think she will be even more surprised when she realizes that her son will not be the next Duke Morozov because of me.”
He handed her the letter back and asked, “Why didn’t you tell me this before?”
“Because I didn’t want you to think there was any chance I was considering accepting your aunt’s offer and leaving you at the altar.”
His wife was right. If she had told him about the matter before their marriage, he would have been anxiously thinking about it, fearing that Alina would change her mind.
He smiled and thanked her sincerely. “In that case, I appreciate you saving my nerves, Alina.”
“It was a pleasure, Aleksander.”
“Do you intend to reply to this letter?”
She nodded and replied, “I will write to Mrs. Oretseva and intend to tell her about our marriage, Aleksander. Your aunt has done so much for me since my arrival at the orphanage and I feel bad that she found out about my marriage through the newspapers.”
This was how all of Ravka would find out about their wedding. As was customary, their union was announced in the newspapers, but with no details other than the names of the bride and groom, the location and the date of the ceremony.
He nodded and said, “And I should do the same. There are some people who will be extremely offended if they don’t hear about our marriage from me, and my aunt is one of them. My godmother knew about my plans for the Little Palace, and she will certainly be happy when she hears that I have gotten married and secured my inheritance.”
Alina gave him a smile and asked, “Is there anything you wouldn’t like me to tell your aunt?”
He shook his head. “I’ll leave it up to you to decide what you want to tell her or not.”
“Right.”
“You can use my mother’s old study,” he offered. “It hasn’t been used since she died, but I believe it should be in usable condition.”
“I appreciate it, but I’ll do it in my own chambers,” she replied.
“If you want, the study can be yours,” he insisted. “I have no doubt the girls would love to help you redecorate.”
She gave him one of her bright smiles.
“I’d love to, Aleksander. Thank you.”
They both stood up, and before parting ways, she asked, “What do you think about, when we finish this task, we put into practice what we agreed on yesterday and talk a little to get to know each other better?”
He smiled and replied, “I’d love to.”
His wife gave him a satisfied smile and said she would join him as soon as she finished her letter.
Once settled at his desk and surrounded with everything he needed for his task, Aleksander began writing the letter he would send to Nikolai.
My dear friend, I am writing to inform you that I got married on the fourteenth of February and that I have officially received my inheritance. From our last conversations, I know you were eager to dress up as my bride and marry me, but luckily I found someone who looked much better in a dress than you would, Kolya. I imagine you will have seen the news of my wedding in the papers by the time this letter reaches you, and you must feel betrayed and hurt that you were not told or invited, but I had my reasons for keeping my engagement a secret until the wedding ceremony. I know you want an explanation, but I must tell you that it is a long story, and knowing how curious you are, I promise to tell you every detail when we meet in Os Alta for the winter fetê. I plan to leave Morozov Hall in about two weeks, accompanied by my new wife, my dear sister Ulla, and my cousin Genya. Then you will not only have the pleasure of meeting her, but I promise that I will tell you the whole story and answer your questions, at least those that I consider proper. I hope that my actions will not undermine our long-standing friendship and that you will give me the chance to listen to me and forgive me. Your friend, Duke Aleksander Morozov
The letter to his godmother was next, and he wrote a slightly more affectionate version of the one he had written to Nikolai, adding the detail that he had fulfilled his wish to marry for love. The most difficult one to write was the one addressed to his aunt Margosha. After a few minutes of deliberating about what to write or not, he finally decided to keep it short and give her more information when he met her in person.
He was finishing sealing the letters when Alina knocked on his door with two letters in her hands.
“I decided to write one to Mal too,” she informed, avoiding his gaze.
The two remained silent until he said, “He’ll be confused when he reads the sender and finds out your new last name. I can't deny that I would love to see his reaction when he realizes that you are my wife now.”
She gave him a small smile and nodded before commenting, “I know him well enough to know that he’s going to break some things when he realizes that because of me, he won’t be the next Duke Morozov.” She handed him the envelopes before explaining, “I was brief and direct. I said that I was hurt after finding out about his marriage to Miss Nazyalenskaya, and that was why when you proposed, I accepted. I didn’t mention your previous plans, and I must admit, I felt a kind of pleasure in signing as Duchess Alina Morozova.”
Aleksander gave her a satisfied smile and said, “You have every right to be happy about his unhappiness after being used by him, Alina.”
After he had finished sealing his letters and had them taken to the post office, he and his wife were free to talk. Since it was too cold for a walk outside, he suggested they talk in the library and Alina asked for tea to be brought for them. For a few seconds, they both hesitated, not knowing where to sit, but then his wife took his hand and led him to the sofa where they sat side by side, still holding hands.
He happily kissed her hand before asking, “So, where do you want to start?”
Without hesitation, she replied, “Do you mind talking about the plans you had for when the deadline was up and you lost your inheritance? I confess that this has been one of the topics that has dominated my mind since yesterday.”
He almost asked what other matters had dominated her thoughts, but stopped himself. He had to remember that if she wanted him to know, she would tell him.
“As you wish,” he replied, but before he could begin, the tea arrived.
He took a sip of his obscenely sweet tea and told her in detail about the plans he and his sister had made, about the places they planned to visit and where they wanted to live.
His wife nodded slowly when he finished and then asked, “What about your family? Tell me more about the other members.”
Aleksander first spoke about his relationship with Margosha and her children, explaining the origins of his enmity with his cousin and how the hatred between them only grew as they grew older. He then spoke about his godmother Yelena and her children, and about Genya's parents and siblings. He was still talking about the more distant members of his family when one of the maids announced that lunch was served.
In the afternoon they returned to the library, and although he had expected his wife to ask him more questions, she surprised him by asking, “Don’t you want to talk about your parents?”
He had told her about his parents during their gallery tours, but he had never given her any details. It was a difficult subject, one that would stir up both sweet and painful memories.
“I was actually hoping you wouldn’t ask me about them,” he replied sincerely.
She studied him for a few seconds before saying, “I understand. It must be a painful subject for you.” He nodded, and his wife took his hands and kissed each one before adding, “I will wait until you are ready to talk about them, my dear husband.” His chest filled with warmth as he heard her call him that. Alina looked around and back at him before adding, “I already know that you are a great admirer and generous patron of the arts, but I don’t know your favorite book or author.”
He smiled, relieved that she had changed the subject, and said, “That’s not exactly an easy question to answer.”
She frowned, and he stood up and led her with him to the bookshelf where he had gathered the books he most enjoyed rereading. His wife did not seem surprised by his eclectic taste, and after a long examination of the titles, she pointed out the ones she had already read and asked which ones he recommended she read, which he did with great pleasure.
He knew it would be moments like this, when the two of them shared things with each other that would cement their relationship, that would make the friendship they had been cultivating for months even stronger. And since friendship was usually the starting point for people in arranged marriages to fall in love, he was intoxicated with the hope that he would win the heart of the woman he loved.
They were still talking about literature when Ulla and Genya joined them late in the afternoon. And they both immediately noticed how close the newlyweds were, since not only were they sitting together, but Aleksander was holding his wife's left hand and unconsciously caressing it.
The two girls did not ask what they had been doing all day, but simply focused on telling them about their visit to the Kaminsky family and the city. According to Ulla, the locals had already heard about the wedding and the more daring ones couldn't help but ask questions. In general, everyone was surprised to learn about the wedding only after it had happened and that people were curious and eager to meet the new Duchess Morozova.
In an excited tone, the two girls said that Alexei had also paid a visit to the Kaminskys and that it was obvious that the boy was interested in Miss Sonia. Genya was amused to recount Ivan and Fedyor’s reactions when they realized Alexei’s intentions and how Sonia clearly reciprocated his feelings. His cousin was sure that there would be another wedding soon. Aleksander did not doubt his cousin’s matchmaking instincts and approved of the union. Alina also expressed her approval and how happy she would be to see her dear friend married to such a sweet girl as Miss Sonia.
“You two don’t need to find excuses to leave the Little Palace and leave us alone,” Alina said, surprising him and the two girls when they finished their account of their day. Aleksander hadn’t realized that his wife had deduced the same thing he had when they learned that the girls would be out for the day.
“No, you two weren’t as subtle as you thought you were,” Aleksander commented with an amused smile.
Genya and Ulla exchanged a guilty look, and his sister explained, “Our intention wasn’t just to give you two some privacy. We both promised Miss Sonia a visit, and we were looking forward to seeing Kirbrisk again.”
He couldn’t say the girls were exaggerating at that point. Despite being a small town with few residents, Kirbrisk was on the road that led to the capital and where most people and goods were transported, so there was always something new to see.
Alina didn't seem satisfied with the explanation, as she said, “I understand and appreciate your good intentions, but I want you to know that you don't need to make any commitments outside of here because of us. The Little Palace is big enough for Aleksander and I to be alone without you having to brave the cold weather to give us privacy.”
“Alina is right,” Aleksander agreed. “You don’t need to think of excuses to leave us alone.”
Ulla and Genya nodded and assured them that they wouldn’t leave the house unnecessarily.
“And I would love to have your help with a personal project before our trip to Os Alta,” Alina continued. “Aleksander suggested that I use my mother-in-law’s old studio, and I would be happy to have your help with that.”
“And perhaps the three of you could decide what to do with our mother’s things, Ulla,” he added to his sister.
Ulla nodded and said, “I wouldn’t mind some help with that.”
“I know,” he said. The last time they’d discussed the matter, they’d decided to leave their mother’s old quarters locked, since everything that belonged to her would be burned to the ground along with the rest of the house.
“Aunt Baghra had great taste in fashion,” Genya commented. “She was always one of the best-dressed and most elegant women at court.”
Ulla nodded in agreement with Genya and said, “Our mother may not have been the most pleasant person to be around, but she always looked impeccable.”
Aleksander couldn't help but smile as he remembered how his mother had always been praised for her good taste and good looks. She liked people to know she was above them just by looking at her.
“And if you want, you can keep as many dresses as you want, cousin,” Ulla suggested, and everyone there could hear the resentment in her voice.
No one who had known Ulla and Baghra could blame his sister for resenting their mother. Ulla had inherited their mother's good taste and everything she wore, especially during her visits to court, was praised and envied and compared to Baghra. Though Aleksander could see a glint of pride in his mother’s eyes on several occasions, Baghra had never praised her daughter or approved of her choices. Even if Ulla had tried to connect with Baghra, which she never did, there was a wall of resentment between the two: Baghra saw her sister when she looked at her own daughter, and Ulla only saw the woman who had abandoned her and taken her away from her only brother and her home. And perhaps the fact that their aunt Margosha liked them both so much didn’t help improve their relationship with their mother.
His sister had never said anything, but Aleksander could sense that the fact that she hadn’t even been mentioned in their mother’s will had hurt Ulla. He felt that even if it were to disinherit her in the will, his sister would have wanted to be remembered by their mother. Despite their complicated relationship and the complete lack of maternal affection, there was a little piece of his sister that had always hoped and longed for their mother's recognition and affection. Now that Baghra was dead, Ulla would have to live with that part of her for the rest of her life. Aleksander, who felt the same way despite having lived with his mother, knew it wouldn't be easy, but they would always have each other.
Genya gave her a smile of agreement and said, “I appreciate your kindness,” and looked at Alina before continuing, “My mother asked me to come home early, but I will help as much as I can before I leave.”
That news made the other three sad, because they had agreed to travel to Os Alta together.
“I wish we could go ahead with our plans too,” Genya said when they expressed their sadness, “but my mother trusts me alone to make some fashion decisions and she wants the whole family to look impeccable at the winter fetê.”
“Then, since you will have to leave us, I will arrange the carriage and a chaperone for you,” said Aleksander.
“I appreciate your kindness, but that will not be necessary, dear Sasha. My mother said she will arrange everything,” she replied.
They had a nice dinner and Alexei joined them. The poor boy was bombarded with questions about his intentions with Miss Sonia and, finding himself cornered by the three girls, Alexei had no choice but to confess that he had had feelings for her since childhood and that he had every intention of proposing marriage to her.
After dinner they gathered in the music room and the girls played and sang. Aleksander and Alexei watched them until his wife invited him to play along with her and he did not hesitate to join her. The first chords they played came out dissonant, but then they found their rhythm and performed the song with near perfection, drawing applause and effusive praise from their audience. After bidding goodnight to Genya and Ulla and saying goodbye to Alexei, who would return to Ivets the following morning, Aleksander and Alina headed back to their chmabers together.
“I’m sorry, Aleksander. I wanted us to talk, but I was the only one asking the questions today,” she said.
“No need to apologize, Alina,” he replied with a smile. “You’ve already told me a lot about your life during our trip to Os Kervo, so it seems only fair that you ask me questions about mine.”
“I promise next time it will be more like a conversation than an interrogation.”
He chuckled and asked, “Before we retire, can I ask you a question?”
“Of course.”
“You said you always wanted to have two children,” he began and she nodded. “Do you have any preferences?”
“I always imagined having a girl and a boy,” she replied without hesitation and couldn’t resist asking, “And you, do you have a preference?”
“No. Girl or boy, I’ll love them both equally,” he replied with a smile and she gave him a satisfied smile. Without thinking, he added, “But I confess that I wouldn’t mind seeing ten or twelve little Alinas running around the halls of the Little Palace.”
She gave him a disapproving look, but its effect was nullified when she tried not to smile and failed.
“Have a good night, wife,” he said as they stopped in front of the door to her chambers.
He took her hand and gave it a lingering kiss before letting it go. Despite having spent the entire day with her, Aleksander was not yet ready to part with her, to go to his solitary chamber.
“You too, husband,” she replied and, to his surprise, closed the distance between them and placed a soft kiss dangerously close to his lips.
Aleksander had no idea if his wife had done it on purpose or miscalculated or if she had intended to kiss his lips and changed her mind halfway through. Before he knew it, his hands were on her waist and it took all his self-control not to turn his face and meet her lips with his. Her summer scent invaded his nostrils and he found himself bringing his nose close to her neck and inhaling her scent for a long time. He had to restrain himself from letting his hands wander over her body or picking her up in his arms and carrying her to the nearest bed and consummating their marriage.
Alina pulled away from him and, with red cheeks, said, “See you tomorrow.”
Unable to find his voice, he just smiled and nodded. The contact between their bodies lasted mere seconds, but the fire of desire that had been burning low in his body since last night engulfed him and made him burn again. It wouldn’t be easy to maintain control if he and his wife from then on cultivated the habit of saying good night in that way.
Aleksander stood paralyzed in the hallway for a few seconds and, that night, the feeling of his wife's lips on his face and the warmth of her body pressed against his, as well as her intoxicating scent, accompanied him to his dreams.

Pitchfork Annual Tippmix 2023
A lista:
Noname: Sundial
billy woods & Kenny Segal: Maps
L’Rain: I Killed Your Dog
Sufjan Stevens: Javelin
SZA: SOS
Caroline Polachek: Desire, I Want To Turn Into You
ANOHNI and the Johnsons: My Back Was A Bridge For You To Cross
Wednesday: Rat Saw God
Lana Del Rey: Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd
Olivia Rodrigo: GUTS
Viszont ehelyett abban biztos lettem, hogy a leginkább alulértékelt magyar elektronikuszenei lemez a Sonic Age máig szuper house The Albuma 1998-ból.
Nincs.
Tippeljen más is, ha van kedve!

October 2023 Important Dates
Tumblr media
AKA my notes on The Astrology Podcast's October forecast, hosted by Chris Brennan, Austin Coppock, and Nicholas Polimenakos. Notice how the charts look different? Today Chris is using AstroGold for Mac OS instead of his usual SolarFire for PC (same developers). Working title for the month is "the wobbly scales."
September recap: the Venus & Mercury stations have corresponded with new celebrity birth data, including an update for Dua Lipa's birth time and a time for Elon Musk. The WGA strike, which began under Mercury retrograde in Gemini, has come to a tentative resolution just as the Mercury rx in Virgo ended.
Jupiter's transit into Taurus has put him in contact with Uranus, and we've seen an explosive change in laws and rules with other organized labor strikes, such as UAW, airline workers, and fast food/service employees. We've got 7 more months of Jupiter in Taurus copresent Uranus, enabling changes in contrast to Saturn's negating influence from Aquarius & Capricorn over the past few years. Think "delayed revolts." Nicholas predicts labor will be an important factor in this year's election, based off configurations of previous labor actions.
The Full Moon in Pisces conjunct Saturn corresponded to flooding at California's Burning Man festival (symbolically negating the fire for which it is named), and disastrous floods in Europe and Libya.
Auspicious Elections for October: October 1 at 11:25 AM with Sagittarius rising (has passed by time of posting; apologies) October 2 at 12:20 AM with Cancer rising
Tumblr media
Around 12:30AM local time you'll have Cancer rising and the Moon exalted in Taurus in the 11th house (whole signs), just after a conjunction with Jupiter and applying to a square with Venus in the 2nd house of finance. This is a good chart for friends, groups, alliances with the Ascendant ruler Moon in the 11th house with Jupiter, and the ruler of the 11th house in the 2nd tying friend groups and finances together. Saturn in the 9th house makes this chart not recommended for foreign travel, education, and publishing.
October will be pretty intense, with the two eclipses and heavy Pluto involvement. Keywords include power plays, transformation, and concealed movements.
Tumblr media
October 4th - Mercury enters Libra Mercury, Venus, and Mars all change signs before the middle of the month, giving us a theme of major beginnings and major endings. When Venus moves into Virgo in a few days, she'll be in mutual reception with Mercury. Previously the two planets were on separate journeys, both retrograde but not communicating, so we'll have cerebral and social functions in harmony again. (A/N: Venus is fall in Virgo, but this Mercury contact significantly mitigates that lack of dignity.)
October 8th - Venus enters Virgo, Mars square Retrograde Pluto We've been moving back and forth over the summer, and will now settle into how things are going to be. Early October contains the the tail end of the Venus retrograde, as she finally passes the degree where she stationed & exits her post-rx shadow, as well as the sign overall, where she's spent an inordinate amount of time (she entered Leo on June 5th). We may see events from as far back as 5 months finally reaching a resolution.
Venus also opposes Saturn right after her ingress (Oct. 8th-10th), and in fact both benefics oppose one of the malefics this month (Mars will oppose Jupiter around the time of our 2nd eclipse). Saturn in Pisces has been weighty, highlighting big, sad things we may not be able to change but must bear nonetheless. Virgo Venus, in an awkward but manageable position for practical help, confronts Pisces Saturn's burdens to our souls. Austin compares Venus's recent transits to exothermic reactions in chemistry, which give off heat, but in Virgo she'll be much more endothermic, drawing heat in.
At the same time, Mars reaches 27° of Libra, putting him in a square to Pluto at 27 Capricorn. Mars is conjunct the South Node, and his ruler Venus is opposite Saturn. The solar eclipse a week later will also occur in the third decan of Libra. This may combine to feel like we're trying to juggle too many balls. Even if you're good at spinning plates, you can only keep track of so many. Inner conflicts, intensifying relationships, and a need for caution are all in order. It would do well to put down in one of the plates, as Mars is in no position to power through all of this (detriment in Libra, South Node encouraging release).
If there's an opportunity to use Mars-Pluto constructively, it comes after an honest assessment of the facts. Chris brings the image of not knowing your own strength or needing to exercise restraint, like a gorilla holding a kitten. We need to know the power dynamic--what we can and cannot do--but the square aspect makes it hard to see directly what's going on (A/N: symbolically it's cross-purposes or seeing events in your periphery). We need to know what the scale of conflict is. Austin uses the example of holding a rope around a rampaging elephant: maybe it's best to let go.
With Pluto relating to money and the US (Sibly) chart having Sagittarius rising, our hosts also predict some kind of "market correction" (trouble) in the US economy, and/or a government shutdown over budget. Mars conjunct South Node in Libra has corresponded to economic trouble of varying intensities (every 19 years with some skips), namely the crash in 1987--which was also on this Libra-Aries eclipse axis.
October 10th - Pluto stations Direct The US Pluto return is still happening since the planet regressed into Capricorn, posing questions of whether a certain impeached ex-president will see some success in the 2024 election. We're also raring for Pluto's (second) ingress into Aquarius in January. Our hosts think the AI story is related to the new Pluto sign, and Google is starting to release hints about a major system to compete with or outclass ChatGPT (text, image, and more).
October 12th - Mars enters Scorpio This is one of his home signs, and he'll immediately trine Saturn over at the beginning of Pisces. Mars working with Saturn gives us drive and determination, the union of impulse and staying power. More generally, Mars in Scorpio connotes precision strikes and the patient, persistent hunter. We can identify the point of weakness and direct all our force at that exact spot.
There's also a brooding quality to Mars in Scorpio. Things brew under the surface. The intensity cultivated here can easily turn inward rather than outward. Any planet in its own sign has high standards, so be careful not to take them out on yourself. Famous Mars in Scorpio natives include Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain, Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, and Taylor Swift--think raw emotions (literally in the vocal style of the former two).
October 14th - Annular Solar Eclipse at 21 Libra
Tumblr media
As soon as Moon conjoins the Sun & South Node, her next aspect is a square to Pluto, bringing Plutonic significations into the eclipse. You've only got two hands; are you holding onto something that's past its life cycle?
In general eclipses signify the end of a major chapter, and with it the start of a new thing. When we let things go they don't just disappear--in fact, they may assume a more natural, harmonious state. Instead of holding onto something that takes a lot of energy, let things fall as they may. Whatever we're concerned about, it won't go away, as in 6 months another eclipse will respond to this call. Don't let the sunk-cost fallacy get you: you've put in a lot of time and effort, but it's time to step back and let things assume their natural shape.
October 20th - Sun conjunct Mercury At 27 Libra, they're also squaring Pluto. Generally Mercury-Pluto contacts correspond to major disclosures. Expect investigative journalists to reveal new evidence around this time, and in light of transits earlier this year Austin says specifically this will be the third part to an ongoing story. Think "deep state," as in, actors behind the scenes or in the foundation of events rather than what we see on the surface.
October 22nd - Mercury enters Scorpio At this time, Venus also trines Jupiter from 12° of Virgo to 12° of Taurus. Jupiter being in Venus's sign strengthens this helpful aspect even more, and the Moon even goes into Capricorn soon after to give us a grand trine in the earth signs. We'll get a brief reprieve from some of the more intense configurations this month. Enjoy the simple pleasures: a nice stew, a hot bath, some tea from the garden.
October 23rd - Sun enters Scorpio
October 28th - Umbral Lunar Eclipse in Taurus
Tumblr media
This is our last eclipse in Taurus for the next couple decades. The Scorpio-Taurus axis eclipses (beginning in 2021) have corresponded to major celebrity scandals, as well as the skyrocketing prices of food worldwide. Bitcoin, FTX, and other finance crashes have occurred to the Taurus eclipses, a sign which indicates money and food. The increase in labor activities during Jupiter in Taurus will likely also see developments from this eclipse. Between the eclipses, Uranus, and Saturn, fixed sign people (suns and angles especially) have been getting a beating the last few years, and Nicholas says "congrats, you've made it!" (Though Saturn will retrograde into Aquarius soon, and then Pluto will transit that sign for the next 20 years or so).
Mars conjoins Mercury and opposes Jupiter during this eclipse, bringing even more tension. Mercury-Mars indicates arguments and destroyed or corrupted roads and communications, or on the positive side, incisive remarks we needed to hear. Mercury in Scorpio also loves investigating a good mystery and cracking the code. We can get major investigative journalism, or obsession and seeing connections that aren't there.
This is a Full Moon and a North Node eclipse, making it easy to lose your head in all the excitement. Austin advises trying to keep your head cool. Don't go with the flow, because the flow is crazy! This eclipse is the end of a year-and-a-half long saga in Taurus and Scorpio, bringing the last installment of that arc in our lives. Chris has an episode called "eclipses as transits in astrology" where he goes through people's charts and talks about the two-year sagas that are enacted with the nodes in a particular pair of signs.
October 29th - Mercury conjunct Mars (exact) (not pictured)
October 31st - Venus trines Uranus (not pictured) From 21 Virgo to 21 Taurus. Think "I'm here for a good time, not a long time!" for Halloween. We ended September with Venus squaring Uranus, and now they're finally trining. After all this month's tension, we deserve to let loose a little. Nicholas says there are hidden pleasures inside oft-orderly Venus in Virgo, whereas Austin compares it to ordering a different item off the menu at your favorite restaurant. Mars in Scorpio is great for Halloween, scary movie viewings, and seeing beauty in the dark side of things.

Kanso 簡素
Tumblr media
The Japanese concept of Kanso (簡素) in residential architecture refers to the principle of simplicity and elimination of clutter, both in form and function. This concept is deeply rooted in Japanese culture, emphasizing the beauty and utility of simplicity. In the context of traditional Japanese residential architecture, Kanso manifests in several ways:
1. Minimalist Design: Kanso encourages the use of simple, clean lines in architectural design. The structures are often unadorned, avoiding excessive decoration or embellishment. This minimalism extends to both the exterior and interior of the home, where the focus is on the essential elements that contribute to the overall function and aesthetic of the space.
2. Natural Materials: The use of natural, unprocessed materials like wood, bamboo, and stone is central to Kanso. These materials are chosen not only for their beauty but also for their inherent simplicity, which contributes to the overall serene and tranquil atmosphere of the home.
3. Functional Spaces: Spaces within the home are designed to be multifunctional, with an emphasis on practical utility. Rooms are often kept sparse, with only essential furnishings, allowing for flexibility in how the space is used. This approach avoids unnecessary complexity and focuses on creating an environment that is easy to live in.
4. Aesthetics of Restraint: Kanso reflects a restrained approach to design, where less is more. This can be seen in the careful selection of a few, high-quality objects or furnishings that are placed in the home. Each item is chosen for its functionality and its ability to contribute to the overall harmony of the space.
5. Harmony with Nature: In keeping with the principle of simplicity, Kanso also emphasizes a harmonious relationship with nature. Architectural elements like open spaces, sliding doors, and large windows are designed to invite natural light and the surrounding landscape into the home, creating a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor environments.
Overall, Kanso in Japanese residential architecture is about creating spaces that are simple, uncluttered, and focused on the essentials. This not only fosters a sense of peace and tranquility but also reflects a deep respect for the natural world and the impermanent nature of life.

I'm going to weigh in and say it probably has everything to do with the cost of software over the cost of hardware. Your average Cintiq is going to run you about $1000 USD brand new, but a good cintiq will last you easily a decade, which makes them a solid long-time purchase (especially since they're not OS dependent like other tablets are - the same cintiq that's hooked up to a Windows 7 works on a brand new M Chip Mac)
With software, it's a whole 'nother story. Toon Boom Harmony is about $1000 a year, Adobe Animate hovers around $270 a year, Moho runs $400 for a perpetual license, Clip Studio EX is $240 for perpetual, etc. It doesn't sound like a lot for a large company, but when you factor that this is the price per license, your costs get exponentially higher depending on the size of your team (and I know that studios often get bulk deals, but it's still going to be a wicked expense).
Procreate, on the other hand, is a one time purchase of $13. It's peanuts compared to everything else available. Even if you're still paying about $1000 for an iPad Pro (which these guys clearly are not using - this looks like older generation iPad Minis), you're savings is in the thousands of dollars.
Is this a problem? Sometimes, it is, actually. Specifically, this becomes a problem for the parent studio that is commissioning a show.
I've worked for Warner Brothers as a retake animator for nearly 5 years now (and have been an industry professional for about 8) and I can say with the uptmost confidence that there is little else that's more frustrating than getting sequences back from overseas studios and realizing that I've been handed flat images. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to make changes to flat png sequences? My whole job is to make changes and adjustments to animation that has come from our vendor studios, and it makes my work take 5x longer when I have to paint over flat images than if I had just been given the source file to begin with.
Is this always a problem? Not usually when we're talking about a studio that's handling all the animation in house. But it becomes an insanely big problem when there's multiple studios involved and none of their pipelines are compatible. It's a larger conversation about the state of the animation industry, where we cut corners, and how we exploit workers. But that's another post for another time.
Anyway, software is likely the bottleneck here, not hardware, and depending on if a studio is working for a larger company, it's likely that they're not being paid enough to begin with to support their hardware and software needs.
