This Is One Of The Best Types Of Incense There Are
Tumblr media
There is no denying the fact that incense can serve a really amazing purpose in our lives. Whether you're lighting up your favorite stone, or just giving yourself a bit of extra peace and calm, there's nothing like some good Herbal incense liquid to bring a little magic into your life!
What is Incense?
Incense is a type of burning material that is used to fragrance a room or create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. It is also used as a form of prayer or meditation. The most common types of incense are made from powdered natural herbs, resins, and oils.
Types of Incense
There are many different types of incense, each with its own unique scent and ceremonial use. Here are a few of the most popular types: cone incense: made from a blend of resin, wood, and spices, cone incense is burned in small sticks or cones to produce a fragrant smoke. It is often used in rituals and ceremonies to promote relaxation and peace. stick incense: made from resinous wood that has been heated until it dries out, stick incense is burned in long strips or logs to release its fragrance. It is commonly used in religious ceremonies to honor deities or draw spiritual energy. block incense: made from hardwood blocks that have been soaked in a resin solution, block incense is burned in small sticks or blocks to release its intense fragrance. It is traditionally used in Buddhist ceremonies to promote meditation and contemplation.
Why Do People Use Incense?
People use incense for a variety of reasons, but some of the most common reasons are to promote relaxation and peace, to attract good luck, or to create an atmosphere of spirituality. Incense is also used as an aid in meditation, for clearing the mind and improving focus.
How Does Incense Work?
Incense is a popular type of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that has been used for centuries in Asia. Incense is made from different types of fragrances, resins and other additives, which are then burned to produce an aroma. The burning of incense creates a fragrant atmosphere that can be relaxing and comforting. It can also help promote positive thoughts and feelings, increase energy levels and improve concentration. There are many different types of incense, each with its own unique benefits. Here are some of the most popular types: Gardenia: This type of incense is known for its floral scent and is often used to promote relaxation. Lemon Balm: This type of incense is known for its citrusy scent and is often used to promote relaxation. Patchouli: This type of incense is known for its woodsy scent and is often used to promote relaxation. White Cedar: This type of incense is known for its woodsy, earthy scent and is often used to promote relaxation.
Types of Ingredients in Incense
There are many different types of ingredients in incense, and each has its own unique scent and properties. Here are some of the most common ingredients used in incense: Incense sticks Some incense sticks use only natural ingredients, while others may contain fragrant oils, resins, and spices. The type of stick you choose will largely depend on your personal preferences. Oils Different oils lend different scents to incense smoke. Virgin oil is the most pure and has a strong, woody smell, while fractionated coconut oil has a sweet scent and is popular for its relaxing effect. Fragrance oils Fragrance oils are a common addition to incense because they provide a range of smells that can be blended together to create unique scents. Some popular fragrance oils used in incense include jasmine, lavender, and rosewood.
Different Brands of Incense
Different brands of incense offer different fragrances and results. Here are some of the best types of incense: 1) Tibetan Incense: Tibetan incense is made from a resin obtained from a type of tree native to the high altitudes of Tibet. The resin is burned in a censer, releasing a range of fragrant oils that can be used in ceremonies or simply for enjoyment. 2) Bhojpatra Incense: Bhojpatra is made from the resin of the bhojpuri, or Western Indian, fan palm. The oil that is released when the resin is burned has a characteristic spicy smell that many people find appealing. 3) Sandalwood Incense: Sandalwood incense is a popular type because it has a strong smell but also doesn't leave a residue on surfaces like other types of incense can. The oil used to make sandalwood incense comes from the wood of the sandalwood tree, which is chopped and then boiled before being burned. 4) Amber Resin Incense: Amber resin incense is made from pieces of amber that have been heated until they liquefy. This mixture is then poured into m
Conclusion
There are a lot of different types of incense out there, and it can be hard to know which one is right for you. That's where this article comes in! We have reviewed some of the best Types Of Incense And What They're Used For, so now it's up to you to decide which one is right for you. Writing Sessions #10 (Papa Emeritus II)
Summary: A curse has fallen on Secondo, and Primo does his best to help. Well, maybe it's not exactly a curse. No. For the first time in forever, Secondo is in love.
A/N: This was inspired by @dearlymrme headcanon. I thought it was amazing and so fitting! Hope you don't mind a little ficlet! Around 800 words.
I love how confused he looks in the gif.
Tumblr media
“Remind me why you want this…”
In the candle lit room, Primo’s voice is a tired rasp. There is incense in his hands, an herbal conjunction simmering in a teapot. He is tired, of course, after a long day of tending to his clerical duties. Yet, he can’t deny the way his heart jumped in his chest upon seeing Secondo’s panicked gaze, the quick pace of his breathing.
“I told you, ” Secondo chokes out, still heaving for air. “I need urgent cleansing.”
Urgent. Primo surely hopes this is urgent. It’s three A.M, they both should be sleeping, but Secondo is panting and sweating, so something must be terribly wrong. Maybe he had a bad vision? Perhaps a gruesome epiphany?
Well, for waking him up in a frenzy, Primo hopes Secondo just witnessed the falling of the Ministry in flames and despair. “Don’t worry,” he replies, under his breath. His hands tremble with age, but his fingers manage to deftly move to organize all the necessary ingredients. “This will clean everything.”
“Do the egg thing too.”
Primo gathers another deep breath, cold air filling his lungs and burning in the way in. His brother is too demanding, extremely annoying at this time of the night. “Is there something worrying you in particular? I though you wanted a lighter cleansing, not a whole ritual.”
For long seconds, Secondo merely remains silent. His gaze is obscured by the shadows, head tilted towards the floor. Sitting on an old wooden chair, he looks small, almost like a child about to be scolded. “Someone put a spell on me.”
Now, that’s something to worry about. Primo’s hands halt, half way from reaching the tea pot. Without muttering a word, he reaches for the cups and pour some of the liquid in it, handing it to his brother. Secondo gulps it in one go, face scrunching at the taste. It’s not a surprise. That conjunction is incredibly bitter.
“Do you know who?”
“A Sibling,” Secondo replies, at last. His voice is harsh, words choked in his throat.
“A Sibling?” Primo repeats, gaze immediately falling on the other. He’s surprised, practically speechless. For a Sibling of Sin to ever think about cursing their own Papa… That’s something no one dared before. “Are you sure?”
“I am! That’s why I’m here, asking for your help. I think they put a spell on me. A strong one.”
“What are your symptoms? Tell me all you know.”
The old wall clock ticks slowly. Secondo talks, fast, words falling like a cascade. He can’t stop talking, and the more he tells, the more confused Primo feels. He blindly reaches behind his back, grabbing another chair and pulling it towards himself.
“I see them, I feel them… The sun falling on their hair, the fire in their gaze, the sound of their voice. It haunts me, day and night.”
“Their… voice? Do they speak?”
“They laugh! And it sounds… like a siren’s song. Alluring, charming.”
This time, Primo simply lets his brother continue on his own. Most of the words become a muffled mess at the back of his mind. Oh, how tired he is. Primo has become too old for this.
“Their eyes scorch my soul, I’m telling you! Am I… loosing my mind?”
Muttering a few curses in Italian, Primo lets his head fall into his hands. At least in this position, he doesn’t have to face his stupid brother. “Have you considered you might be in love with them?” He asks, finally. Secondo gasps, dramatically, almost falling from the chair.
“Me, in love? You know me, I'm not that type. Leave that shit to Terzo!”
“What you describe sounds like a crush, stronzo.”
“I sounds like a fucking hex!”
“Why would this Sibling hex you, anyway?”
“Don’t they take witchcraft classes here? Why wouldn’t they?”
Breathe.
Primo inhales again, retaining the air in his lungs before exhaling slowly through his mouth. “Che stai dicendo?” he mutters, again. The headache grows stronger. “Non rompere il cazzo”
This time, at least Secondo has enough survival instinct not to insists. He stays sat on the chair, arms tightly crossed on his chest. Again, Primo thinks he looks like nothing but a child, a confused and even scared one. A part of his heart, a very small one, feels sorry for him.
“I’ll do the egg cleansing too. Only this time, you hear me?” He warns, standing up. His joints creak, and complain. “If there is no hex on you, then you’ll have to accept this might be love.”
“I’d rather have the hex.”
Nodding, Primo lights up the incense and a white candle. “Yes, that’s probably better,” he says, palming the egg and walking the short distance that separates him from Secondo. “Love is a great curse, after all.”
ps: yeah i don't know. This brought back memories of being a child and going to my neighborhood's bruja for cleansings lol.
I had this on my drafts for a while and decided to post it for once. I've been busy lately so I don't think i'll be able to write anything new for a bit.

Soul Mate Ritual- Herbal Magick Recipe
! This contains many ingredients and even having to make some ingredients yourself but it is a very effective and powerful ritual if you decide to perform this, read thoroughly and have fun ! First we need to talk about some ethics. This ritual is designed to help bring a great love to your life. It Directly asks the Divine to determine who is best suited to you (and vice versa) and to bring that person into your life - not to break up someone else's relationship so that you may have your whim or to bind you to a specific individual whom you have in mind. Those types of actions are unethical because they thwart the free will of other people for your personal gain. Besides you don't really know as clearly as the divine who will be best suited for you - you are judging on looks, money, sexiness or whatever mundane quality that has entranced you, and that quality is not the one that necessarily helps to create a relationship that lasts a life time (or many life times)
For this ritual, you must be ready to accept the what the divine brings to you, and you MUST be ready for real love in your life. If you truly believe this is the right move for you and want to make this herbal condenser and perform this ritual, keep reading!
Ingredients:
three edible venusian herbs (banana, catnip, cherry, damiana, lemon verbena, lilac, maidenhair, myrtle, passionflower, peach, plumeria, rhubarb, raspberry, rose, strawberry, tansy, vanilla, vervain, and violet)
glass or enamel cooking pot with lid
spring or distilled water
measuring cup
vodka or grain alcohol
gold flake
amber or cobalt colored glass bottle
Place a handful of each of the three herbs you have chosen into your glass or enamel cooking pot (glass and enamel pot will not react and seep into your mixture- aluminum or iron pots will react)
Cover the herbs with spring or distilled water and bring to a simmer. Cover with lid, turn down the heat and let them simmer softly together for twenty minutes with the lid on. Allow your mixture to cool to room temperature and strain out the herbs and saving your water. Do not pour the water into your sink!
Boil again at a medium heat until the liquid has been reduced by half. Cool the extraction again, and when it is room temperature, so that you can see how much liquid you have. Add an equal amount of Vodka or Grain Alcohol as the amount of liquid extract you have in your measuring cup. Add a pinch of gold flake. Pour your condenser into your amber or cobalt-colored glass bottle (this keeps light from ageing your mixture) and store in a cool dark place. Be sure to shake it before each use. Now that you have your condenser, you are ready to perform your soulmate ritual. supplies and everything you need for it are below!
Supplies:
deep green cloth for the altar
three pink candles
vase of beautiful flowers
lovely chalice half full of fruit juice, wine, or spring water
small piece of rose quartz
incense burner
aphrodite Incense AND Oil ( to make this oil use rose petals, jasmine flowers, orris powder, rose oil, neroli oil, ylang ylang oil, you can you use the essential oil rather than the actual herb)
parchment paper
writing pen
flame candle to light your pink candles
rose petals
soul mate condenser
On a friday during the waxing moon, at a time when you will not be disturbed or interrupted gather together your supplies and set them on your altar, which should be covered with a deep green alter cloth. Place the three pink candles in the center of your altar in a triangle pattern, with the base of the triangle nearest you. Put the vase of flowers just to the left of the top candle and your chalice just to the right of the top candle. Now place the rose quartz in the center of your candle triangle. Place your incense burner and incense to your right near the edge closest to you.
Your parchment and pen lie directly in front of you on the altar. Place your flame candle to the left top side of your alter and light it. Sprinkle your rose petals randomly all over the altar.
Anoint the candles from the wick down to the bottom with your Aphrodite Oil, then anoint your third eye (the spot just above and between your eyebrows) and over your heart with Aphrodite oil. Light the pink candles with your flame candle and then using the top pink candle light your incense charcoal and place it in your incense burner atop some insulating sand. While your charcoal is igniting completely across draw a heart on your parchment paper and inside of heart a spiral. Place some incense on the charcoal and bathe the parchment paper in the incense smoke, imagining the parchment absorbing the love energy. Now charge the parchment paper by placing it above each candle flame (but not so close you ignite it!) while saying three times:
"Aphrodite Queen of night, bring me to the one who's right, Aphrodite, Morning Star, whether near or whether far, bringer of love, O Aphrodite, Draw my Soul Mate now to me, Most lovely of goddesses, O Aphrodite, and as I will, so mote it be."
Then place a drop of the soul mate condenser on your finger and seal the energy you have placed in your parchment paper by firmly anointing the spiral in the center of the heart with the liquid. Drop three drops of the condenser into the libation you have prepared in your chalice. Drink the liquid slowly as you concentrate on your heart chakra, opening and strengthening it. Feel it opening like a beautiful red rose. Let the candles burn all the way down, then fold your rose quartz stone inside the parchment and place it inside your pillow case.
Each friday evening as you relax, pour some fruit juice, wine, or spring water into your chalice and add three drops of your condenser. Relax, daydream and continue working on opening your heart chakra.
It can take up to a full twelve months for the Divine to locate your love and bring him/her into your life, although the ritual has also been known to work within a months time. Drink the soul mate condenser each friday evening and keep the parchment wrapped rose quartz in your pillow case as you dream of your love!

Taking a Spiritual Bath
1. Always take a [regular] soap bath prior to or after a spiritual bath. Never use soap, oils, or anything else while taking a spiritual bath.
2. To prepare an herbal bath, place herbs into a pot of boiling water and let them steep for 3 to 9 minutes. Strain out the herbs and add the liquid tea to your bath.
3. As part of preparing your ritual bath, you may light your favorite incense and light a candle in a fitting color to make the experience especially comforting, effective, and enjoyable.
4. Always bless the water before getting into the tub. You can do this through prayer or invocation of the spirits […] of the healing waters in a manner that is meaningful to you. Alternately, you can use a more general type of blessing […]
5. Spend at least 15 minutes soaking in the healing water for a ritual bath. You may meditate, visualize a resolution […], pray, sing, sit or lay in silence. do whatever feels comforting to you […]; never stay in a spiritual bath longer than 30 minutes [however].
⤏ Baths for drawing things to you […] work well when taken at or before dawn. Wake up before dawn and draw your water. Fill the tub with warm water and wash your body in an upward direction. If possible and you are so inclined, you can take [these baths …] during a waxing or full moon.
⤏ For uncrossing baths or getting rid of negative energies and conditions […] take your bath at sunset and wash your body in a downward motion. Pour the water over your head 9 times so that the water runs down your body while you are standing. If possible and you are so inclined, you can take [these baths …] during a waning moon.
6. Allow your body to air dry to achieve the full effect.
7. Save all or a portion of the bathwater for proper disposal. Some common ways of disposing of bathwater include tossing it towards the east during sunrise, or leaving it at a crossroads.
8. Always clean your tub with saltwater afterwards. Sea Salt is best, though regular salt will also do, so long as you have prayed over it. Also be sure to clean any objects used in the tub with saltwater [as well].
9. Always dress in fresh, clean clothes and sleep on clean (preferably white) sheets after taking a spiritual bath.
10. For optimal effect, spiritual baths are taken for an off number of days [in a row], from 1 to 13.

Happy WIP Wednesday!
Are there any idea blurbs or WIPs you'd like to share? >:3
Happy WIP Wednesday indeed! Thank you for asking... I'm always happy to share some longfic WIP. How about a little bit from a hurt/comfort chapter....
How much time had passed since that morning? It was impossible to tell. Sho had brought me some soup and insisted I take it, saying that I needed to eat. I likely would have refused anyway, but her statement was backed up by Mitsuhide’s implacable stare.
Bad decision. After I sat up to eat a few spoons of it, the liquid boiled in my stomach. "Oh hell. I'm going to-"
With a shriek she rushed for a bucket, and thrust it in front of me while Mitsuhide kept my hair out of the way and gently rubbed my back. The soup left me faster than it entered. Ugh, this was worse than any flu I’d ever had. At least with the flu, there was the knowledge that eventually, it would run its course.
When the wave finally subsided, I felt spent and exhausted. Mitsuhide held me against him while he helped me take a couple sips of cold tea, and then I lay back down, completely out of energy, and yet not able this time to go back to sleep. If I kept myself very very still, maybe everything would stop hurting.
"Thank you." I heard Sho's soft footsteps padding away, leaving me alone with Mitsuhide. "How long has it been?" Time had been blurred, I felt like I'd been both thrown into the past and at the same time futures that didn't exist.
"Since you picked a fight with a runaway cart? Three days. Some of your bruises all already fading." His fingers lightly skimmed across my cheek. "I imagine your head will feel better soon as well."
I hoped so. Concussion… that’s probably what I had, but of course there was no word for that here.
"Do you think a strong scent will make you feel sick?" Mitsuhide's voice came from further away and I heard a bit of a clanking. It sounded like a ceramic jar, maybe, but I wasn’t willing to test opening my eyes again.
"Maybe." There had been a bit of a fishy smell to the soup. But the scent of the herbal tea hadn’t been triggering.
I heard a rustle, then the side of the bed dipped. Very briefly, the scent of something minty wafted past. "What about this scent?"
"So far it seems tolerable," The scent came closer, stronger.
"And now?" I felt his breath across my ear.
"Still fine. As long as I don't move or open my eyes. Why?" The question was automatic, although I had a suspicion of what he had in mind.
"This oil may help with the pain, but if I put it on you, I don't want it to make you ill again." The scent was closer still, right under my nose, fresh and sharp, and at that moment I also realized he no longer had that scent of incense clinging to him. He must have bathed and laundered his clothing. "May I?"
"Yes." If it would stop the men with pickaxes from chipping away from my skull, it would be lovely.
Very gently, almost invisibly, one finger traced small circles at my temple, drawing a line from there to a spot behind my ear. The mint oil left a trail of coolness, soothing the angry nerve endings. The pain didn’t go away, but it subsided enough to help me relax. "That's nice."
He lightly applied more oil to the side of my neck, the top of my shoulders, and I couldn't help but sigh in relief.
"Interesting. That response makes me curious to see what would happen if we employed this oil in other situations." That teasing note was finally back in his voice. He wouldn’t tease me if he thought I was still in any serious danger, which was a relief. I mean it wasn't like I thought I was going to die either. If this head injury was going to kill me it would have done so already, right?
It was only belatedly that I realized what exactly he was teasing me about, "Great. Let me know how it turns out." Not my usual, but hey give me credit for any snark at all when I have a concussion.
"You would know long before that," At least that’s possibly what he said. I was already halfway into sleep again.
