“I’m fine,” you rasped. Your throat hurt more than you expected. “It’s just a little fever. ”

Your feet, bare and trembling, stuck to the chill of the linoleum as you stood by the counter. One hand braced against the edge. Everything was hazy, like you were underwater and the air around you didn’t quite know how to sit still. Heat throbbed at the back of your neck, uncomfortably scrawling down your back as sweat clung to your clothes.

Still, you told yourself it wasn’t that bad. It was just a fever. A little dizziness. Maybe the flu.

Nothing a nap couldn’t fix.

"You're obviously not okay." He mused, voice a little tighter than a moment ago. God, as much as you loved his voice, every word felt like another hit to your growing headache.

"I said I'm fine-" You turned around quickly, whipping your head in his direction and snapping out an answer. That was clearly the wrong decision as you felt your vision swim and suddenly you were distantly aware that you were about to be very well acquainted with the cold floor.

❥ SATORU GOJO

Satoru had caught you before you were even so much as close to leaning too far to the right, his mouth uncharacteristically pulled into a frown. One that wasn't just a simple pout.

He watched you closely, every breath and uncomfortable shift was known to his eyes. After a few seconds of him squinting those bright blue eyes at you, he sighed in resignation- Voice returning to its usual chipper tone.

"Alright! To the doctors we go!" He hupped once, and suddenly you were comfortably carried princess-style in his arms. "W-wait, no, 'Toru-"

"A-a-ah, no sweetheart, you will be going to the doctors! And you will get better waaaay sooner, 'kay?" he said lightly, but his voice was quieter now. Almost tired. The kind of quiet you only got when someone cared too much.

Satoru had fought curses that split mountains. He’d squared off with enemies that wanted to level entire cities. He was the Strongest. He was a God on the battlefield.

But right now? Right now, he was just a man holding someone who refused to let themselves be cared for.

You sigh in resignation, convinced by his tone. “Fine.”

The next few hours were a blur, you were given a check-up by a doctor you were sure you saw on a billboard once, given a prescription and tucked into bed with a kiss on the forehead as quickly as you could blink. Don’t get him wrong, Satoru was upset.

You didn’t expect care. That made him fume.

You had learned, over and over, that being sick meant being alone. That weakness was a burden no one else had time for. You’d stitched yourself together so many times, it never even occurred to you to ask someone else to help hold the needle.

But he had time. He would make time.

Even if it meant teleporting back home every other hour to check your temperature (Mildly obsessively, even in his eyes) and carrying you to the bathroom when you gave him a quick text. Which, he had to beg you to do whenever you had to get up for whatever reason. You caved ofcourse, even if asking for it made a strong sense of guilt well up in your stomach, you couldn’t resist those blue puppy dog eyes of his.

“Five-star,” he grinned. “Michelin called me personally.”

You blinked blearily at the bowl and tried to sit up, his hand was already at your back as he set the tray to the bedside table. 

“You made this?” You wondered, voice a little bit better than earlier as Satoru had helped you sit up properly. “Mhm! All me baby~ Told you I could do it!”

The bowl of soup wasn’t anything special, but it was warm and smelled pretty good from what little sense of smell you had recovered. “And how’s the kitchen?” You hummed as you took a spoonful.

“Let’s not talk about that.”

All in all? 9/10 care imo, minus a point because the kitchen is a mess and he doesnt like doing the dishes so he buys new pots and pans when he had to wash them

❥ SUGURU GETO

You ofcourse, never hit the floor. 

But your body did hit soft, silken robes with firm arms keeping you upright. A gentle and cool hand was at your back, rubbing soothing circles as you struggled to even want to open your eyes. It felt comfortable, and frankly, you could feel your headache getting quieter and quieter, quiet enough to hear the whisper of words Suguru had cooed at you. “Let’s get you to bed, okay?”

Now, Suguru knew you didn’t like to be fussed over. He knew that you didn’t think you were worth to be fussed over. That much he knew in the short time he had been with you.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) for you, he was very patient. And he also loved fussing over you. He liked taking care of you, whisking away your worries and sickness.

Suguru had set you back on the bed, tucking you in and checking your temperature. You opened your mouth to protest, to tell him again you were fine- That you always were, but he silenced the words with a shake of his head and a kiss to your lips. He dismissed your words as if you were a child speaking nonsense, determined to give you the love and care you deserve. 

The following days really did continue like that, being coddled and shushed whenever you raised a complaint about him mother-henning you. He shut your little insecurities down, comforting you gently while also supplying some sass and sarcasm here and there. (mommy suguru, anyone?)

All of your complaints will be shushed with a kiss- Much to your horror. Try to push him away? Kiss on your hand. Complain about being a burden? Kiss to your lips. Whine about how he might get sick too because of all this kissing? Kiss attack straight to the face

Don't worry, he's really gentle and soft about it!! Each plant of his lips on any part of you is filled with love and care, his touch cool on your feverishly warm skin.

Miraculously he doesn't get sick at all.

He spoonfeeds you your medication, a glass of water ready by the side to help the bitter taste go down easier. Suguru was very familiar with bad tastes, so he'd rather have you not suffer as much as possible.

He lets the girls ‘help’ too! He has them as his little helpers as he makes you the blandest (the healthiest) breakfast, lunch and dinner for you. He makes sure they keep a distance from you though, careful to make sure that not all three of you get sick.

He loves loves loves giving you baths, double, triple and quadruple checking the water before helping you in it. It's soft, it's gentle how he helps you undress and holds your hand to steady you as you get into the tub. He washes your hair, and it dries softer and silkier than you’ve ever had it. Your skin is clear and by the time you were clear of any fever or sickness, you looked almost better than how you looked before you were sick!

See? You should let him take care of you more often!

10/10 very sweet, you get better in 3 days but he extends the care to a week to make sure you aint getting sick anytime soon lol

❥ KENTO NANAMI

The floor? What's that?? For the entire time you’re sick, your feet barely touched the ground. Nanami had caught you with ease before using those big strong arms and carrying you to the bedroom. To be honest, Nanami was a little scared ever since this morning, he had a sinking gut feeling you were going to collapse with how much you had and will probably continue to push yourself.

When you were back in bad, there was suddenly a bowl of freezing cold water on the bedside and an equally freezing towel on your head. You hissed at the feeling, weakly swatting at Nanami’s forearm. “‘ts too cold,”

“It’ll help with your fever. Bear with me, okay?”

After a bit, he does actually start to scold you. In a simple and straightforward tone, he told you that you had to stop pushing yourself and letting yourself go uncared for. He was here, and he was going to be no matter what. He will take care of you, so please rely on him. 

Gives you the gentlest but most refreshing massages when your feet and back get sore from laying around in bed all day. He’s strict about you eating before taking medication, even more strict about the medication.

“I can feed myself,” you rasped.

He raised a brow. “No. You’ll say that and take two bites.”

You groan. “I’m not hungry.”

“Please?” He frowned, eyes full of concern. “Just a few more bites sweetheart.”

Oh and how could you say no to that??? Whenever you tried to argue, the second you opened your mouth, he gave you that look again. The one that told you this wasn’t up for debate. So you let him feed you, slow and careful, letting the warmth settle in your stomach as he patiently waited between each spoonful. He dabbed your mouth with a napkin without a word when some broth dribbled down your chin.

❥ TOJI FUSHIGURO

“Hey, hey-” Toji caught you easily, he set you down to the floor gently, but not without a slight thud of urgency. “Talk to me. How many fingers am I holding up?” You squinted, a little annoyed and disoriented but answered anyway. 

You were pretty sure your answer was wrong judging by the worried way Toji glanced around the room. You could feel the tension in his body as he picked you up with ease and laid you down on the couch. A firm pillow under your head, his palm pressing to your forehead right after. 

Your eyes fluttered half open, too heavy to keep focused. You were expecting a lecture, maybe an annoyed huff, maybe even teasing right out the gate- but what you got was something else. He crouched beside the couch, big hands resting on his knees, and just looked at you. His lips were in a tight line, watching you as if you had all the secrets to the universe. “What do you need?”

You blinked, mentally going through a roster of medication and bland food. But not before slowly shaking your head. “Toji, it’s fine. I can get it myself-”

“Bullshit. You almost collapsed on the kitchen floor. Tell me what you need.”

His eyes were serious, but you could see the genuine concern in them. He wanted to help. He just didn’t know how. “...Paracetamol. And water.”

He stood abruptly and stalked off toward the bathroom. You heard drawers opening, cabinets, the scrape of something across tile. When he returned, it was with a bottle of pills in one hand and a thermometer in the other. He crouched again and held them up like you were the authority here.

“This the right stuff?” he asked. “They all look the same.”

You nodded weakly. He popped the cap and shook out two, hesitating. “Wait- is it one or two?”

Now. Toji isn’t exactly the best at taking care of you during your little sick time, but he's trying his best. You teach him once, and he knows exactly what to do the next time. And he’s actually pretty great at distracting you from any pain or qualms you had with being taken care of. He’s funny, poking fun at you once you're over feeling bad for being sick.

He’s a little bit anxious,especially during the times where he had to touch you. It's like he was scared to make it worse, that you’d shatter like glass if he had so much as poked you wrong. Baths were very gentle, and took quite a while- With Toji’s brows furrowed in concentration as you told him what temperature to keep the water at, and to go gentler or slower while he's cleaning your body.

Yes, he makes a few horny jokes here and there, but it's just that. He’s too focused on taking care of you to actually get horny, believe it or not. The anxiety is fucking up is dick game, it seems.

You get better after a week or so, and Toji collapses and promptly gets sick too. 8/10. A+ for effort.

❥ SUKUNA RYOMEN

You were picked up by the shirt before you could hit the floor. In a blur of movement, you find yourself getting hauled back to the bedroom. You could barely hear Sukuna’s voice in the haze, but his tone was low and demanding. The kind he only ever used in the most serious situations as he’d command Uraume. “They’re sick. Fix it.”

“Yes, my lord.”

You weren’t entirely aware of the transition, but when you surfaced again—half-lucid, throat raw and skin burning- you were no longer on your feet. The silken sheets beneath you, the cool dampness of a cloth on your forehead, and the unfamiliar scent of incense and old stone said as much. You knew this wasn’t your room. You knew those weren’t your own hands caring for you.

You saw Uraume above you, fixing the sheets before noticing your gaze. They quickly backed away and bowed, announcing their departure. You stirred again with a groan and caught a flicker of movement: Sukuna, sitting on a chair a few feet away. Watching you. Always watching you.

You recovered quickly ofcourse, thanks to the help of an entire team of doctors tasked with only one thing, to get you back to normal. If they don’t, Sukuna will have their heads. He didn’t like their hands on you. That much was obvious. His silence was thick with an unvoiced threat. His eyes traced every movement of the stethoscope, every raised syringe, every tremble of your lips as you tried to drink water that someone else held for you. He didn’t interfere. But gods help anyone who failed.

He paced the halls at night, bare feet silent on tatami. His fingers twitched. His chest felt hollow in a way he would never name. He’d drag his claws across the stone walls, scratching lines with quiet violence, teeth gritted. You weren’t supposed to be this breakable. You weren’t supposed to look like this. But he couldn’t fix it, now could he?

His hands were made for destruction, he couldn’t help you. That's why he had others do it. Because he was too scared to even touch you.

One night where you were more lucid than others, when your bones didn’t protest at every movement, you had convinced Sukuna to sit right beside the bed. Close enough where you could lean on him while you sat up. He was eerily still, not daring to breathe as you did so.

You get better in 5 ish days! With no casualties! Yay! 10/10 but im biased

ada; the james charles stand-in except she doesnt talk to minors! she is unintentionally sooo toxic and the makeup community both loves and fears her. almost always in some kind of drama, but she never addresses it outside of whining "why is everyone so mean to me?"

annabel; not really much of an influencer, BUT she is a famous model that works with multiple different big name makeup brands. she collabed with ada ONE TIME as part of a brand deal and now the latter insists theyre best friends.

prospero; DOCTOR MIKEEE MY GOATTTT!!!! he isnt a huge fan of social media, but he does enjoy being a complete NERD and talking about medical things. also he did one of those "doctor vs. 20 conservatives" videos and he absolutely ate everyone up.

morella; makes a ton of vlog videos with the misfits and generally jus has a good time. she basically jus makes the sweetest most wholesome content and has never gotten into drama. though someone did spread a rumor that she and ada hooked up, it didnt end up being true. she wished it was tho--shes just a girl your honor.

big hero rant. Pls read i need more hero appreciation💙💙💙

i think something a lot of people forget about heros character is that being praised for being "perfect" or "good at everything" and all things like that is. Not a good thing. everyone views it as good but the amount of praise and admiration he gets is extremely hurtful to him. whether its intentional or not the amount hes praised for things he does like good grades, college, cooking and cleaning etc. just sets huge expectations for him and makes him feel like its something he absolutely has to do or else everyone will be disappointed in him. hes almost never shown that kind of attention for his actual personality and how caring he is but rather what he accomplishes, and theres been so many points in his life where he isnt able to do those things because of his mental state (and cause nobody can live up to that much) no matter what he does, theres no way he'll always be able to meet everyones expectations for him so he will always feel like he is failing and not doing enough for everyone.He has so much that he wants to do in life and his own hobbies, but hes completely given up on them and everything that makes him happy just so that he doesnt disappoint his parents or other people who think too highly of him!! the amount people congratulate him for his achievements and everything hes capable of has given him extremely bad self esteem and a feeling that hell never be enough for everyone, but hes so closed off about it and will immediately mask his emotions because even showing negative emotions makes him feel like hes going to let everyone down and make them stop believing hes strong. Hes so focused on making sure everyone else is happy and nothing bad happens that he completely stops caring for himself and his own emotions, and that extreme kindness is what people should appreciate of him because its a trait that he has and will always live up to because its just how he is as a person and not something he could super easily not be able to do anymore. One of the only times in the game where hero is admired for who he is is when theyre sleeping at sunnys house and he describes hero as a person and why hell miss him ("HERO has always been someone you could rely on. He is wise, capable, loving, and always puts others above himself. He is the kind of person that will always make himself available to help you, even to a fault. You will really miss him.") all of heros friends truly do appreciate him for who he is, but he appears to repress his negative emotions towards himself so much that they assume he does as well and only feel a need to congratulate him for what he has done (it also really hurts to me that sunny doesnt talk/communicate enough to let hero know that hes one of the only ones who truly does see him and appreciate him for himself and want the best for him and what he wants uuuuu im really glad the game is told through sunnys perspective because he is so loving) when mari died, hero immediately fell into a deep state of depression and showed pretty much every sign of being suicidal, meaning he could no longer look after everyone and do things like cooking or his school work so he was extremely aware that everyones expectations for him were going to be ruined and that they wouldnt think hes doing everything right and well anymore. so im sure its understandable that after kel says "mari wouldnt want to see you like this", hero interprets it as "mari would be disappointed that youre like this too" and all of the hatred hes built up for himself and his lack of perfection comes out in the form of lashing out at him, but unfortunately for him showing that amount of anger just makes his situation even worse because it changes how kel views him permanently. even though kel is genuinely proud of hero and how hes gotten better and proud to be his brother, he will always be hurt by what happened and hero will have to live knowing hes permanently hurt someone who he loved the most because he felt like he wasnt good enough for them.

mari was also one of the only people who actually showed support in heros hobbies and dreams like cooking and things other people wouldve called silly, she was the only true support he was able to get and that made him appreciate himself more, so wehn mari died he didnt only lose her as a person and the whole friend group, he lost the only bit of belief he had left that he would be able to do what he enjoys in life and be free from everyone elses harsh expectations and enjoy the freedom that comes with being an adult

Anywau im really bad with words and theres like no thought behind this so its not meant to be a 'proper analysis' i just dont like how things like this are completely brushed over with him!! people always label hero as the "boring character" because they really do fall for the act he puts on to appear perfect and flawless to everyone else, either that or they just dont care enough to look into how complex his character is.And i want to bring attention to him so im pointing out for fun

omg the post u rbed abt the admins.....smt i have been stuck on since it happened was spoke expressing his grievances w how the admins dealt w sb. like yeah he could definitely js have been being spoke, but it'd be BORING if we didn't throw theories and random thoughts out there for the sake of discussion ^-^

so like yeah. what specifically stuck out to me was throughout all of spoke's dramatics and over the top evil plans, he seemed to have a Genuine reason behind disliking how sb's maces was dealt w, like he argues that sb losing his maces / being punished for duping was an example of admin abuse since sb exploited "legitimately" (aka without hacking). since sb was punished for "legally" exploiting while minute, mapicc, and bacon were all on the team that had the mace AS admins and them being admins blurs the lines when it comes to dealing w exploits and such that affect them directly since it raises the question of whether they would've dealt w the situation differently if they were not personally, directly involved. like sb duping maces without the help of any hacks / clients gave an incredibly interesting opportunity for content that wasn't even entertained by the admins who took most of the maces away and punished sb HEAVILY for keeping the mace he did keep

and spoke's way of pushing them, whether it's intentional or not, seems to apply the most pressure to minute since he has been the admin who is most strict abt not letting anyone break rules, especially in regards to things like exploiting. like if spoke had mace hacked or leo fly hacked in front of him i don't know if he would've let it slide as easily as mapicc & bacon did based on what we have seen of his strictness as an owner and how mapicc has hid things from him bc he seemed to think minute wouldn't be nearly as okay w whatever mapicc is alright w. like the duping and timetravel w the img to map experiments.

i lost my train of thought so im sorry if this doesnt make sense LOL i js think spoke pushing and prodding at the admins (but specifically mapicc and minute) is such an interesting lil thing and it only makes me want to study him in a lab anymore ^-^

Spoke's crashout about the admins dealing with the mace is so fascinating to me too. It feels like a convenient excuse to do a plot against the admins, like classic lifestealer complains about something and it's their entire justification for an evil arc. #3ht deserved prison

ANd YEt. Spokeishere has such a specific resume when it comes to exploiting on lifesteal, and such a specific expectation that comes along with it. During the Dupe War, Parrot made them throw the dupes into the void and Spoke had to ban himself off for a week iirc, and had to jump into the void on one heart. But that was AFTER they got to fight the entire war. And during the wormhole when he spawned a warden on mapicc and zam's castle arc duel he got a week/month ban and potentially a /clear of his echest. At the very least he emptied the echest and buried it before getting banned (this time a console ban iirc)

So he's no stranger to the punishments of exploiting.

And if anything making players go down to 1 heart is not as bad as being banned and needing someone to revive you and being on 3 hearts then. (unless, wait i just got unconfident. were bans in s4 death bans or console bans. now i cant remember who revived spoke after the dupe war) And a console ban lets you keep hearts but realistically many players just don't log on for a week or month (or 8 months) anyway so the point of a console ban kind of has been lost. but i imagine it depends on the situation. But I think that's where the heart penalties we see this season came from.

Also after the dupe war team awesome had to go back to their original heart count and burn all dupes. obv mapicc and ro didn't do that lol but they never got caught for it.

Because on top of that, it has ALWAYS been the rule on lifesteal that no punishment is given until there is video evidence. It's been one of the things I admire about the admining of the server the most. Like it was clear spoke had exploited items, but until there was video proof of what and how, there was no punishment. It was clear that team awesome had duped items, but there was no proof until they saw the vault itself.

And SB just... posted a youtube video. Fully explaining how he went around server rules and got more maces.

Before that Mane didn't get a ban for using his mace because there was a potential for content and there was no video evidence exposing how he got it. he just had it. it didn't matter that it was clearly exploited, there was no proof it was him that exploited.

But, again, SB full on posted a video. So the punishment could not be avoided.

And so Spoke crashing out about it is interesting bc if anything SB was the one who fumbled the bag by not understanding lifesteal culture.

and that's just so interesting. Because Spoke is basically arguing as we would argue, that that punishment wasn't interesting and therefore unfair.

It's all about the content and the story that happens. And Spoke has one of the best eyes for content out there.

But I do think, ooc, Spoke gets why the punishment went down the way it did. or he doesn't, it's not like i can read his mind. but I think it's a character excuse to do the world ending. Which doesn't make it less real, it's just server fun politics.

BUT MINUTE. oh minutetech. Like him specifically being admin is so so interesting. He's SO upright and justified and pure about the server rules, never feeling the slightest inkling for temptation.

That has NOT been the historic case for admins on lifesteal. Mapicc, admin abused s1. Parrot s2, told spoke to break the server rules and build an illegal wither farm. idk what Parrot did s3 admin wise, i just don't remember, but he did keep all the hearts Tubbo dropped stating he wanted "the biggest bang for my buck" and wanted to make the end more interesting by stubbornly keeping the hearts. The little adrenaline junkie. And s4. Have you watched the released vod of spoke getting Ash creative mode? Parrot was SO excited to try out exploits, immediately thinking of ways it could affect the server and the content in the most /excited way possible. But to Parrot, the chaos was FUN.

And then s5 ash and spoke were owners and they did plenty of questionable things, though, interestingly, and something I've never pointed out, was how harsh Spoke specifically was to Parrot that season when Parrot broke all the server rules. He immediately shut it down and gave Parrot no leniency, and gave Mapicc a treasure hunt in order to get Parrot unbanned. There was no simple console banning for a week, no losing of hearts, it was he's banned until Mapicc collects all these items. It was a content idea, but it also felt so surreal to dangle the unban around content. especially since Spoke got off, all things considered, rather leniently every other time he cheated. Maybe you can call it the cheater's heart knowing they got away with too much and exacting the kinds of punishments they expected to get. It was so interesting. But then again, Parrot did some of the rule breaking in front of Spoke and so Spoke had to do something. There was evidence.

But through all these different owners, the one thing an owner has never been is "good". They are all chaotic and/or evil leaning players.

And so minute is a fascinating creature to watch.

And it makes sense why Spoke is at Minute's throat. They are just perfect opposites in a way Spoke has never had to deal with.

I am way too tired/jetlagged to make this post right now, but the reason Armada Starscream is so specifically well done to me actually isn't just the way he's got more depth than just wanting to take over Megatron. It's the way he falls back on this image he has of himself as someone who is solely focused on Megatron. And he is obsessed with Megatron, but the disconnect between Starscream and his image of himself is what gives him actual depth.

The reason this is so cool to me is like, that self-image--that he is single-mindedly obsessed with Megatron and will sacrifice everything else for that goal, no matter who gets hurt--is pretty close to what every other Starscream is. (The selfishness you associate with Starscream is a little more subtle, but it's there in the "no matter who gets hurt" clause imo.)

So if you go into this as a Transformers fan, you're already expecting Starscream to betray Megatron and try to best him and rule the Decepticons. But so does Starscream, even when he's demonstrably proven to both his peers and the audience that he's more than that. It's almost like his past incarnations--or the audience's expectation of him--haunt him. It turns his own internal man-versus-self conflict into this really cool man-versus-narrative conflict.

And what's crazy about this is, through the last moments of this arc, Starscream does grow beyond the narrative we'd expect from other Starscreams! But he never admits that to himself, because it's easier for him to cling to the idea that he's laser-focused on his hatred of Megatron. Every time he helps the minicons--every time he helps the humans--even in his last words, he LIES to himself and everyone around him that everything he did was always about Megatron. Because it's easier to simplify himself than to grasp that he might be a complex character. Because he's a person and he has all the messy conflicts that come with that. He falls back on the same ideas every single other Starscream did, and THAT is his undoing. Not that he is self-centered because he's Starscream. Not that he is obsessed with Megatron because he's Starscream. That he THINKS he is all of those things and he will not LET himself be anything else.

I would argue that that's a bigger theme in Armada, as well. Optimus and Megatron more or less spend their final fight coming to terms with their story roles in Transformers. I really feel like if you sneezed on them, they would realize they do this in every universe and in every timeline. Starscream's is the most interesting example to me, though, because he's such a departure from other versions of Starscream; hell, he acts (and looks, lol) a lot more like some incarnations of Thundercracker. But he's still got classic Starscream in him in this roundabout meta reference. He's like an homage to his namesake. It's so cool! And it works perfectly with the story he's a part of.

i know some people are absolutely incensed that Arcane dropped the ball on the classism and discrimination and poverty and all those plotlines they had introduced but the truth of the matter is that Arcane always framed any type of Zaunite insurrection/revolution against Piltover in bad lighting and claimed that any fight/war for the freedom and wellbeing of future generations is ultimately evil because it gets people living right now killed

Vander is the most sympathetic Undercity leader/hot shot only because he is supporting Piltover's superiority and oppression of the Undercity. he has a deal with the cops to ensure that he will keep his people obedient and subservient to Piltover and the cops. he aids the status quo and thus Piltover's exploitation of Zaun; he never encourages pushing for change in any manner, violent or non-violent, instead always pressuring those around him (esp Vi) to just take Piltover's scraps and mistreatment because you wouldnt want to lose your loved ones, would you? (which is just like, a threat. an actual threat that figures of authority like cops make to their victims to keep them inline) Completely ignoring the fact that people in Zaun HAVE, ARE, and WILL BE losing loved ones to police brutality, disease, toxic/radioactive exposure, famine, poverty, gang violence, etc. BECAUSE OF PILTOVER.

Arcane is/(started out as) a great show but it was always most sympathetic towards Piltover and the status quo. it never pushed for Zaun's independence/freedom in any meaningful way--and whenever it did deal with Zaun potentially becoming its own nation? it didn't show the power of revolutions, of class actions, of uniting and protesting and fighting back--it just said that if you sit your ass down tight and let the oppressive government shit on you enough, you might eventually be granted some rights--unless you fuck it up with a rocket, of course. but that's not how real life has ever worked

not only that but any attempt at fighting back is literally shown as being plain violence for violence's sake. we dont see or hear anything about how silco or vander planned on rebuilding the Undercity/Zaun, how they wanted to expand infrastructure, how they would support the people and keep them safe--Arcane doesnt paint revolutions as the complex operations they are, they just show us the violence of them and nothing else. like really, all Silco wants to do is use Shimmer to scare topside--but that's not how revolutions or fighting against opressors works! because Piltover will be scared, yes, but that just means they will double down harder on all the violence and restrictions. that's obvious. not only that, but lets say Piltover gets scared and retracts from Zaun completely--Zaun seems to be heavily dependent on trade from Piltover to get what they need to survive. Silco doesnt mention anything about how to fix that. and that to me just plays on harmful stereotypes about any and all kinds of social movements. all of the real work is reduced to violence.
