If anyone knows anything about Wordpad file recovery - my diary for the last two years is only displaying NULLs when I open it, both in Wordpad and Notepad++, but in the preview when I search for it I can see the first couple lines, and it's shows up in a search for a keyword I know I don't have in any other file

Is there a temp file I can get into? I don't care about formatting, I just don't want to lose two years of ideas and thoughts...

I think theyd both look at marriage as such a trivial/unnecessary thing because not human + not exactly like we can get a certificate + all our friends eat people and im not sure thats great grounds for being certified to marry people. anyone else happens to think the local con scene downgraded over the years?

like. I dont mean the quality of any panels or talks, but like... all of them are now hyper-specific. not being in that specific fandom freezes you out of that panel and like... back when I was a kid there Were some panels like that but they were maybe half the content? now 80% of the stuff at con is about swifties and buffy and stuff. even talks about fandoms I've seen/heard/read the source material for just. aren't stuff Im in the fandom for. so I care less

like legit I don't think I'm going to a single event that isnt volunteers event at olamot this year. its all either for kids (and. I get being kid friendly. but if the only categories are 16+ and 8-12 and the 16+ ones are because the show its based on is 16+. Im not gonna have fun. I watch 13+ at Most and anything else makes me uncomfortable. and also Im 21 so very much not 8-12 either)

I miss when con had events like "here's how to verify information you see online" and "the history of what we now call dragons" and "how different fantasy worlds treat magic in kids" and stuff that you didn’t really need to know one specific show for

now its all "this is why buffy is cringe now" or "tma fanon vs canon" or "Im gonna infodump about this one anime for 45 minutes"

which. is fine for the people who like buffy or tma or that one anime. but the moment my special interests are "creative puzzles in video games" and "animals" Ive got nothing

like. do I have to write those two events myself? the "animals in our world are much cooler than you give them credit for and also dragons are real heres 5 examples of real world dragons" talk is something I keep putting off but I Can do that

He's grateful that Darkhol is holding himself back. That he doesn't allow for himself to actually start attacking despite the feeling he's getting on the inside. Klaus lowers his hands , however he keeps them where Fiyero can see them.

He's also grateful that Fiyero has returned to his original form. If he had remained a seraph, who's to say Aurelius wouldn't have come back. The idea sickens him. The sight enrages him.

The sound of a trill pulls him from his thought and he barely has enough time to react before Fiyero's cast some kind of spell on them. He had thought she planned an attack, but...this was for her safety. Who could blame her? She had gone through such an ordeal.

"We appreciate it," he says quietly. It isn't easy to have to relive through everything that happened, but Klaus needed to know.

"Why did he...attack?" He truly couldn't make sense of it all! Klaus' eyes wanders to Dar'khol then back to Fiyero. "What happened?"

Klaus body tenses wyej the door snatches open and the weapon the tiefling holds is directed at Dar'khol. She hadnt strikes yet, but there is worry that she just might. Klaus almost takes a step forward, but stops himsel.

It's when Fiyero points at his reasoning for being here that Klaus rises his hands and lowers his eyes. Shit...he can't even bring himself to SPEAK. The guilt weighs heavy in his stomach and the rage he feels for her, for darkhol...for HIMSELF is unthinkable.

He breathes in then breathes out and finally...

"We are not here to fight." A beat then followed by, "I--I'm sorry for what happened."
