QR Codes 101: What Are They and How to Use Them| Complete Guide
QR Codes have become a vital tool in today’s digital world. In 2025, they are everywhere—from product packaging and restaurant menus to transport tickets and payment systems. Short for Quick Response codes, QR Codes store information that can be scanned instantly using smartphones or barcode readers. AIDC Technologies India plays a major role in providing reliable and customized QR Code solutions for various industries, helping businesses transition to smarter, contactless operations.
As QR Codes continue to evolve, AIDC is ensuring Indian enterprises can access, use, and benefit from this technology seamlessly and securely.
What Are QR Codes? Meaning & Overview by AIDC
QR Codes are two-dimensional barcodes that store data such as website links, product details, contact information, and more. Unlike traditional barcodes that only store data in a straight line, QR Codes can store data in both horizontal and vertical directions, making them more efficient and versatile.
AIDC Technologies India defines QR Codes as a modern tool for fast, accurate, and paperless data transfer. They allow businesses to simplify user interaction, improve tracking, and offer quick access to digital content. AIDC provides both static and dynamic QR Codes based on customer needs, ensuring flexible implementation across various sectors.
How QR Codes Work: AIDC’s 2025 Tech Breakdown
The working of QR Codes is simple yet effective. A QR Code consists of black squares arranged on a white background. When scanned with a smartphone or a QR-compatible device, the code is decoded into usable data, such as opening a website or triggering a digital payment.
AIDC ensures their QR Codes work flawlessly by using high-quality printing, error correction levels, and advanced encoding methods. Their solutions are tested across multiple devices and environments, so users always get fast, accurate responses. Whether for digital payments or product authentication, AIDC ensures smooth operation.
Types of QR Codes Used in AIDC Systems
There are two main types of QR Codes: static and dynamic. AIDC Technologies India offers both, depending on the purpose and flexibility required.
Static QR Codes store fixed information and cannot be edited once generated. These are ideal for basic uses like contact details or promotional content. Dynamic QR Codes, on the other hand, can be updated even after printing, allowing for better tracking and changes over time. AIDC’s dynamic QR Code systems are ideal for businesses that need performance reports, engagement metrics, and flexible data updates.
By offering both types, AIDC ensures clients get the right solution for their goals.
How to Scan and Use QR Codes: AIDC’s Simple Tutorial
Using QR Codes is easy. All a user needs is a smartphone camera or a QR scanning app. When the code is scanned, the device reads the data and redirects the user to the relevant information or action.
AIDC Technologies India offers support and training on how to implement and use QR Codes effectively. They help clients set up scanners, integrate QR Code readers into apps or systems, and educate staff on proper usage. This ensures that businesses can get the most value from their QR Code-based operations.
QR Codes vs Barcodes: AIDC’s Industry Comparison
While barcodes are still widely used, QR Codes offer several advantages. Barcodes hold less data and require a specific orientation for scanning. QR Codes, however, can store much more information and can be scanned from any angle.
AIDC provides solutions for both barcode and QR Code technology. However, for businesses that need more interactive, mobile-friendly solutions, QR Codes are often the better option. AIDC helps clients choose between the two based on their workflows, systems, and growth plans.
QR Code Applications in Retail, Education, Healthcare & More
QR Codes have applications across nearly every industry. In retail, they link to product info, payment portals, and feedback forms. In healthcare, QR Codes can store patient history, prescription details, or lab reports. In education, QR Codes are used for attendance, digital notes, and exam schedules.
AIDC Technologies India has successfully deployed QR Code systems in each of these industries. Their solutions are tailored to the specific needs of businesses, ensuring effective usage and easy adoption. From product authentication to document access, AIDC’s QR Code systems are reliable and scalable.
Benefits of QR Code Technology from AIDC India
There are many benefits to using QR Codes. They simplify customer interaction, speed up transactions, support contactless communication, and reduce the need for printed materials. QR Codes also help businesses collect and analyze data in real time.

I made the amazing Butterfly series by Moreta1848 into a book!
A6 size, cream white paper, body font is Coelacanth and title font is Empherian. The butterfly motif is my own design.
Now brb, I’m going to get a nice cup of tea and some muffins and read this series for the nth time.

(You can go read it here.)
#star trek#star trek tos#spirk#k/s#fanbinding#it is an absolutely amazing fic series and I love it to bits#and yes the qr code goes to the fic. there's one for all 3 fics in the series#...I tried but could not figure out how to fit the url itself on one line without fucking up some formatting#so now it looks a wee bit confusing (at least to anyone who hasn't used AO3 before)#(but I do not anticipate any non-AO3-users reading this in the foreseeable future so...)

i hate the implications that everythings gonna need a handheld device to function. like some restaurants dont have menus and ask you scan QR codes to see their digital menu. or app versions of a website having better features and/or the website """encourages""" you to use their app instead
i get handheld devices are cheaper and portable, p much more accessible than a desktop... but if everythings dependent on one thing then thats the opposite of accessible
#its always good to have options#i am reminded of this frustration bc i cant use vouchers or rate or write reviews on this online store unless i use their fucking app#me and my friends were eating somewhere the other week#my friend was in the process of paying via QR code but gave up with how slow and finnicky it is and just handed some cash#....always good to have options

Dear colleges:
Stooooop circulating surveys and event info via email exclusively in QR code form. If I'm at my fucking work computer, I don't want to have to get out my phone to access this shit. Especially because 90% of the time the site the QR code links to isn't even fucking mobile friendly. Come on now.
#half our students and half our faculty also don't fucking know how to use qr codes this is not a good system what the fuck#i'm annoyed this morning#personal#work shit

my biggest grumpy old man opinion is that two factor authentication is evil. can't get into my school email bc the app isn't compatible with my phone, and I can't submit an IT request abt it bc I have to be logged in to access the request form

I hate men and their need to act like any emotional reactions you have while you’re on your period is just you being “hormonal” and “not yourself”
(Rant in tags)
#like sorry I’m actually defending myself rather than just letting you talk shit about me directly infront of me??#when I’m on my period I tend to show more of my real emotions rather than what people want to see so yeah#but the conversation I was having with my brother was fine- I wasn’t talking to him in any way#he asked me about the monster that I had because like an hour or two ago he asked me not to throw it away since it’s one with the cod#qr code thing on it and he asked me if I threw it away and I said “no it’s not empty right now it’s infront of the microwave” and right#after my dad jumps in saying nobody needs to take offense to how I’m talking or how I’m being? when I didn’t say anything in any way? like#my brother didn’t even have the time to respond to me before he jumped in and started indirectly talking shit#I’m so done right now- all he’s done the last few days is nit pick at me about stupid shit like yesterday we missed the our bus stop and we#get off and this man starts yelling at me that now he doesn’t get to eat (mind you he never explicitly said he wanted to get off at that#stop I thought we were just going directly home)- he constantly says shit on purpose to get a rise out of me and now for some reason my#brother (the one that is 17) has been budding in and telling me to stfu and all this shit and my dad feeds off it and uses it as more of a#reason to justify how he’s treating me and it’s just so upsetting cause he does know I’m in a more vulnerable time right now since my period#is always really difficult anyways really sorry for the rant don’t have any friends I can talk to irl about any of this so to the internet#it goes 🙃#random0lover emotional dumps#random0lover rambling ♡

omg, i love the way you drew everybody and i just wanted to know what type of brushes you use, if that's not too much trouble
Heyo! I really hope this helps!
They are brushes I had downloaded for a while and the bottom one is literally the only thing I use for everything - Sometimes I use texture brushes but that's usually only for really fancy drawings or drawing skin.
My main tools are this brush and an eraser with a brush/smudged edge.
I pick a pen I feel comfortable with and just run with it usually. I've tried using different brushes, but this one makes me feel the best.
I have no clue of other applications and so I can't really point out similar brushes, but I usually use a rough textured pencil. ❤️
And thank you so much for the compliment :D
#i hope the qr codes work because i have no clue how else to share them#i used to use my finger on my phone with autodesk sketchbook#but for like 2 years I use a samsung tablet with ibisPaint#i occasionally draw on notes app for fun#reallyBURNTrambles

My unpopular opinion (well unpopular with employers at any rate) is that if your workplace is going to require you to do shit that requires having a phone, even if it's just 2FA for your work email and nothing else, then they should provide you with that phone. My personal phone should not be connected to anything that will ever intersect with the IT department's work.
#also like... there are still people who don't have smartphones#but i don't want to sound like only those people should get work phones when i do mean EVERYBODY should get one#thoroughly annoyed by the new requirement to use microsoft authenticator for our work microsoft accounts#i understand the importance of good 2FA but this is gonna be a mess as people eventually replace their old phones#at least if such a thing was done with work phones getting everything worked out would be entirely IT's responsibility#no input from the non-IT employee would be necessary beyond something like 'hey boss my phone died i need a new one'#it is possible to back up credentials to personal microsoft accounts and i have done this but i was never PROMPTED to do it#i only did it because i was worried about what would happen if my phone died and i looked into this app's recovery options#and apparently this one method is my only option#and i have no idea how well it will work. will i still need to get IT involved? perhaps they'll need to send a qr code or something?#hell if i know#nobody at work has thought to provide any info about these procedures

I don't know I'm not done talking about it. It's insane that I can't just uninstall Edge or Copilot. That websites require my phone number to sign up. That people share their contacts to find their friends on social media.
I wouldn't use an adblocker if ads were just banners on the side funding a website I enjoy using and want to support. Ads pop up invasively and fill my whole screen, I misclick and get warped away to another page just for trying to read an article or get a recipe.
Every app shouldn't be like every other app. Instagram didn't need reels and a shop. TikTok doesn't need a store. Instagram doesn't need to be connected to Facebook. I don't want my apps to do everything, I want a hub for a specific thing, and I'll go to that place accordingly.
I love discord, but so much information gets lost to it. I don't want to join to view things. I want to lurk on forums. I want to be a user who can log in and join a conversation by replying to a thread, even if that conversation was two days ago. I know discord has threads, it's not the same. I don't want to have to verify my account with a phone number. I understand safety and digital concerns, but I'm concerned about information like that with leaks everywhere, even with password managers.
I shouldn't have to pay subscriptions to use services and get locked out of old versions. My old disk copy of photoshop should work. I should want to upgrade eventually because I like photoshop and supporting the business. Adobe is a whole other can of worms here.
Streaming is so splintered across everything. Shows release so fast. Things don't get physical releases. I can't stream a movie I own digitally to friends because the share-screen blocks it, even though I own two digital copies, even though I own a physical copy.
I have an iPod, and I had to install a third party OS to easily put my music on it without having to tangle with iTunes. Spotify bricked hardware I purchased because they were unwillingly to upkeep it. They don't pay their artists. iTunes isn't even iTunes anymore and Apple struggles to upkeep it.
My TV shows me ads on the home screen. My dad lost access to eBook he purchased because they were digital and got revoked by the company distributing them. Hitman 1-3 only runs online most of the time. Flash died and is staying alive because people love it and made efforts to keep it up.
I have to click "not now" and can't click "no". I don't just get emails, they want to text me to purchase things online too. My windows start search bar searches online, not just my computer. Everything is blindly called an app now. Everything wants me to upload to the cloud. These are good tools! But why am I forced to use them! Why am I not allowed to own or control them?
No more!!!!! I love my iPod with so much storage and FLAC files. I love having all my fics on my harddrive. I love having USBs and backups. I love running scripts to gut suck stuff out of my Windows computer I don't want that spies on me. I love having forums. I love sending letters. I love neocities and webpages and webrings. I will not be scanning QR codes. Please hand me a physical menu. If I didn't need a smartphone for work I'd get a "dumb" phone so fast. I want things to have buttons. I want to use a mouse. I want replaceable batteries. I want the right to repair. I grew up online and I won't forget how it was!
