How did you all learn queer history??

I was raised by lesbians but they never talked about it. They didn't even acknowledge to me that they were lesbians, I had to piece that together on my own (which sounds way easier in retrospect than it was in reality when they've both been there for as long as you can remember).

I learned about Stonewall within the past two or three years, after I had switched political alignments and seen queer leftists talking about it like it was a thing I was supposed to know.

I learned about Leelah Alcorn today. Like, 10 minutes ago.

I need some kind of educational digital queer calendar that I can add to my phone's holiday calendar so I can start googling a significant queer event every morning.

just finished reading the preview for tsats and all i really want to say after reading a million different opinions… tsats is genuinely not for me. i read the preview and i just couldn’t do it but i don’t want to diminish how other people feel about it. if you enjoyed the preview, good for you! but i think there are valid criticisms to say about the preview. (some people are saying it’s because it’s 20+ year olds criticizing it but you know 🫠 we’ve also been dedicated to this series for over ten years. i think the older fans have every right to be just a little critical lol.)

Oh, #she is so childish... I mean, she is a grown ass woman working in an important magazine and she behaves like a mean girl with a stan account. Where is the professionalism? I used to work in a small magazine and if I kept mispelling the name of a person (on purpose) I would have been sooo fired.

Oh it baffles me. I just don’t get how or why nbc/wolf/(hell, even jls) maintain such a tight “professional” connection with her. Also to be consistently called out for it and somehow keep acting the same way/if not worse? Where’s the dignity?
