Essentially it would deal more realistically with the fact that a 16/17 year old was accused of murder. Matt would still be involved as his lawyer but miss me with that “I wanted it to be a courtroom drama” it would go pretty much the same way that it did in NWH since a grown ass man accusing a teenager of all that shit in the age of doctored footage is really stupid

It would be a lot more grounded, with a focus on how Peter and the FOS (INCLUDING FLASH!!!!!!!!) deal with that kind of horrendous kind of attention

Earlier this week, I watched episodes 3 and 4 of Velma for dear old Glenn H and his Fred. He's not in it very much compared to the other characters though.

Fred ended up in jail at the end of episode 2, and now Norville is pretending to be his therapist to find out what he knows about Velma's mother's disappearance at his mansion

On his 4th birthday, his daddy ditched him to steer his own hot air balloon

He misses having his mommy with him in jail to watch him pee...

Glenn is playing a baby with mummy and daddy issues

Fred won't open up to him, so Norville returns with his father's therapy cardigan, which acts like a truth serum and gets everyone to open up to him, including Fred

Turns out Fred doesn't know shit because he doesn't pay attention to women over 35

Also he has abandonment issues, surprise surprise!

Also this happens:

Norville then promises Fred and the other inmates he'll return to prison and give them all free group therapy because they're all bewitched by the cardigan

Except he's 10 minutes late and our boy with the abandonment issues loses his mind

"Why does everyone think they can stand me up?" he wails

He throws a tantrum, and also a chair, thus inciting a prison riot which culminates in a prison break — woohoo!

They get lost in the woods outside the prison and the police show up and catch them

The lesbian cop moms use the power of therapist cardigans to subdue Fred and then they still fucking taze this docile child anyway ew

This is probably the best episode so far.

Scenes of bi panic and wlw mixed in with aggressive fighting inspired by Karate Kid and Cobra Kai

Daphne's mums had better dialogue and were mostly less cringy as self-defence tournament MCs than as cops

Norville's dad is a school counsellor, who is very unqualified at therapy and also gives bad advice and the therapy cardigan to his son.

This episode was way less meta and just let the characters do their thing and have feelings instead of trying to be too clever about it

The jokes weren't painful because they didn't feel as much like they were written by a 40 year old trying to relate to The Youth

"Yep," you say matter-of-factly, tapping your pen on his shoulder. "Come on, now. I'm on a tight schedule."

He chuckles softly, slipping his t-shirt over his head. "Better?" 

You hum, pleased, eyes raking over his bare chest. Feeling his gaze bore holes into the side of your face, you look up - only now noticing the smirk that lines his lips. 

Clearing your throat, you shrug dismissively - acting nonchalant as you pick up his arm, holding under his elbow. You run a finger over a vein on the side of his arm, following the prominent artery with delicate touch, taking note of the placement and size. Sole attention on his lower arm as you scribble into the notebook on your lap, jotting everything down - ignoring the confused hums Tangerine makes.

"Now do this with your hand," you instruct, showing the motion you want him to copy - balling your hand into a fist.

"So you weren't takin' the piss," he murmurs, an amused chuckle slipping as he repeats the action you asked of him. 

You shake your head, too focused to engage with his flirty antics right now—maybe later, just not now—continuing to glide a finger over the raised streaks running up his arm. 

Finishing up on the section of notes, scribbling words across the page, you turn to look up at him - features forcefully stoic. "Okay, now bend over and spread them cheeks— gotta practice prostate exams."

Sometimes ngl. It gets a lil overwhelming, but I don't mind it, I love people showing their support even in their own way.

I do think tho when I get a question relating to tstt regarding plot, the world, or just little things I add into the story to make the MC feel more "alive" and people pointing that out, I am extremely grateful and happy for it cause I'm just so proud of myself with the writing and the world that I continuously try to flush out.

So it's kinda sad when people ONLY focus on the Love Interests for merely being Love Interests and the future idea of smut scenes, and not that the love interests actually represent things, have parallels to each other, and even the flow of a chapter.

of course, scarab is immortal and seemingly one of a kind, so sex in itself is largely extraneous/recreational/probably only possible due to vestigial biological processes from when he was mortal (if he ever was one). fundamentally, only things that die have an evolutionary impetus to develop sexual organs, and all the attendant processes necessary for sexual reproduction. otherwise we would be technically immortal, genetically unvaried organisms cloning ourselves through mitosis or something. anyway.
