rewatching s2 and i'm on chapter five rn and i just feel the need to talk about this even if people have already talked about it, literally why would they show mike speaking to will so differently from how he speaks to everyone else (his "will voice"), why would they show mike comforting will in a way he has never comforted anyone before ("you really think so?" "yeah. yeah, i really do." with the softest look in his eyes, a little fond smile and the will voice at its finest), grabbing will's hand like that on full screen if mike was written to not have any feelings for will? and here's another thing, in s2 he grabbed will's hand with zero hesitation and in s4? he couldn't even hug him properly even tho they weren't on bad terms or anything like that. the thing is in s2 mike wasn't even starting to realize his feelings for will and in s4 it has already become clear to him that he views will in a way he doesn't view anyone else, even el, and he's trying to push it away, which ends up with him not being able to hug will AND hesitating before putting his hand on will's shoulder in chapter nine. mike wheeler is in love with will byers, your honor

Simon in the morning light was still something Wille was getting used to, the little sounds he made as he woke up, the way his arms moved to protect his eyes from the light shining through the curtains. Wille wished they were a sculptor so he could study his body for hours, learn every little detail of his skin, from the freckle on his neck to the scar on his knee, the way his curls fell after a shower, the way his eyes glistened depending on the light. 

It was hard to realise Wille could do that anyway, that they didn’t need an excuse to look at him. That Simon might want to do the same with them, at least according to how he’d kissed every inch of Wille’s body last night, making Wille feel loved in a way they never had before. 

(Love was a word that it was way too soon for, their time spent together way too short, but Wille felt it, they really felt it, because what was love if not what he felt in their chest as Simon’s arm pulled tighter around their waist and nuzzled his nose in their neck?)
