There are so so so many ways to experience the gods.

There is no right or wrong way. There is no blunt way. Its all feeling and ephemeral.

If you've felt warmth, if you've had a dream, if you've seen a crow that stares at you for too long, if something inexplicable happens and you're lucky suddenly, if you've caught eyes with a stranger and felt like you knew each other, if the candle flickers a certain way, if one time when you're singing your voice sounds gorgeous in a way you weren't expecting, these are all the presence of a god.

God phoning is popular on witchtok but half the time what they're saying is bullshit. I've very very rarely heard a voice and every single time it was my own voice, just suffused with something, saying something I normally wouldn’t say. Or maybe I would. I've never heard a clear, distinct, audible voice. Its an invisible world we're connecting with, its a different plane. We cannot experience it the same way we experience every day life.

We'll never sit down at a coffee table across from the physical manifestation of our god, and know that its them, not until after. And even then we can never be sure. That’s the nature of it. There are no absolutes, there cannot be. That’s what makes it beautiful. That’s where belief comes in. It isn't about being good enough or worthy enough or devout enough, that doesn't exist. That isn’t what its about at all. You are worthy even if the divine doesn’t manifest in a way we've been told is the only real way, and you are connecting even if you cant see it now. My most intense spiritual experiences are never something I realize are happening in the moment, its always only after that I can see it clearly.

hey protip if seeing clearly is hard but possible you do indeed need glasses. its not just for people who can never see clearly. if you can correct you vision through effort then there is something you are putting in the effort to correct. people with true 20/20 vision don't have to work for it. also the vision tests arent a test you're supposed to win, it's not measuring if you can tell what letter that is if you squint, its supposed to test how blurry it is. if you can tell that its an E but its a really blurry E and you only know its an E because the blur follows the shape of an E then for the purposes of this test, you cannot see the E. if "blurring your eyes" or "unfocusing" is, for you, relaxing, rather than something you need to put effort into actively doing, um. congrats and also sorry

Welcome, one an’ all to our DDLC AU ft. @cosmica-galaxy's Alliance bois! this has been stewing for a while but I finally done it!

Since the Bois tend to go in trios, I added a two special guests; Veteran & Brown-Coated Cameraman!

Veteran here has a platonic/familial relationship with the Literature Club's resident human, you! But, when it comes to you, dear Viewer, it's another story altogether~.

Brown-coated Cameraman is also like Veteran in terms of relationship with you but also you as well.

As a forewarning, I will being using -dere typings, a suffix to that derives from the Japanese onomatopoeia 'deredere' meaning 'lovey dovey' to describe characters that express their affection in different ways, or on different levels, for their personalities with a summarized explanation of what the -dere type is given.

(Also keep in mind that while they take the roles of the DDLC girls, their personality don't exactly match with them. They more take some aspects from them into their base personalities, which has been ever so lovely provided by Rus.)

The Main Trio! Took some finagling around to put them in roles I think was most suited for them but I decided on this!

ღ⊱ | Sayori!Cameron |

His base personality is a Dereyandere, mostly a Deredere, a sweet and happy-go-lucky energetic type character, with hints of non-violent Yandere, an obsessive and lovesick character willing to go varying (usually extreme) lengths for their perceived beloved

In this AU, he's more ditzy than his base self and that's pretty much it. Not much change here really.

I chose him because his cheerful and jealous pouty nature just reminds me of Sayori and his yan side reminds me of the Act 4 ending should you choose to delete Monika's file resulting in Sayori becoming the Club President.

ღ⊱ | Yuri!Vee |

His personality is a Kuutsundere, mostly a Kuudere, a calm, and collected character type that usually appears stoic in nature, with hints of Tsundere, a prideful character that seems/acts harsh on the outside but is softer on the inside

In this AU, he's a bit shy and into strange literature like Yuri but no less stoic and mature like his base self

He also adopted the yandere tendencies, obsession with knives, and 'testing' them on himself as Yuri does when his personality values are tampered with

His base personality is a Deredere with go-with-the-flow/chill vibes from my observations

In this AU, he's a bit more exasperated and possessive than his base self. He's still the chill and happy-go-lucky unit we all know but just a bit more mellow in the way he gets a little more defensive about his feelings towards you, both to you and those that seem to like you too

Basically, Nastuki's tsundereness somewhat cancels out his more joyfully energetic side a tad

Initially, he was in Sayori's role before I started swapping with Cameron for a while. They were going back and forth roles the entire time lol

I was nearly done with drawing this when I realize he'd probably be a bit better as Sayori, but again, I was almost finished so we get this!

ღ⊱ | Monika!Veteran |

His base personality is serious and fatherly-inclined. He doesn't really align to any -dere types but if we were to stick to the whole -dere personality typing, the closest -dere type he'd be is a Jendere, a calm, gentlemanly, and distinguished character type.

There's more terms that attach itself to it like strict, fatherly, kind, and/or elegant which is why I thought this was the closest -dere typing for him

In this AU, he has more yandere tendencies that manifest in a similar way to that of Monika's own tendencies, just in a more guilty, conducted way seeing as he's the eldest, their senior, and shouldn't be causing the destabilization and deaths of his younger, junior club members because his deep love for you.

He's also younger in this AU considering DDLC's setting but that still doesn't offset the DILF vibes he got goin on lol

His base personality is a Deredere to the max. A chipper and friendly guy to literally everyone he meets

In this Alt AU, his personality hasn't changed much from his base one, really. The only difference is him being a tad clumsy and a bit more somber at certain times, which is from Sayori's clumsy demeanor and depression.

His personality is a Kuuyandere, majorly a Kuudere with hints of non-violent Yandere

In this Alt AU, he's quieter than his base self and a bit more maniac in his yandere tendencies when his personality values are tampered like Yuri's in DDLC.

He's also has a bit of shyness in the form of hand fidgeting from Yuri's own habit.

His base personality is a Kuutsunyandere, mostly a Kuutsundere with hints of non-violent Yandere

In this Alt AU, his tsundere side is a bit more prominent. Still a smug bastard, he's much more susceptible to getting flustered by things that involve his emotions due to Natsuki's influence

His base personality is a Megadere, a Deredere whose love is more obsessive and fangirlish in nature, which is rather obvious to everyone else, and sometimes, the love interest themselves

In this AU, his personality is more that of a Yeredere's, similar to a Megadere but even more crazy and obsessive like that of a sweeter, mostly non-violent Yandere which comes from Monika's own yandereness

He also very much leans into Monika's 'why can't I just be the one for once?' as a person who has very strong feelings of love and longing slapped in him

He just loves you so much. Won't you stay with him? Forever?

sorry I will drop this after today but I think it's so interesting that when I make writing posts/content geared toward helping writers feel better about their processes, helping writers feel less isolated/overwhelmed in the vast ecosystem of writing advice that exists online now, etc, the assumption is then that you can't do that AND also critically engage with writing craft. that is very revealing.

anyway my whole thing is centering joy in the process because that's not an easy thing to do in a capitalist context where it's assumed all artistic endeavours MUST monetarily meet the public eye because moneyyyyyy. & how I centre joy is by doing what I wanttttttt. my instinct will never be to commodify a craft I love.

Yanno, Metroid Prime: Federation Force raises an interesting question: How did the Pirates successfully capture Samus for brainwashing in the first place? One of the less dumb points of criticism against the game is, as cool an idea as having her as the final boss sounds on paper, the setup required just doesnt't seem plausible.

The more realistic theory is she was still working through the aftereffects of the Phazon infection and subsequent withdrawl, giving them a chance to ambush and knock her out successfully, while only losing a few dozen soldiers in the process instead of like, a hundred or more.

The sillier answer, that I personally subscribe to, is the Phazon withdrawl thing, but also that in her moment of weakness and loosened judgement, they figured out how to deliberately weaponize her item-collection OCD to lure her into an inescapable trap.

It is Chrom's birthday! Fire Emblem: Awakening was actually my first Fire Emblem game and it was soley because of Chrom. I literally have no clue how I found Chrom, I just saw him once and was like, "I love him" then played the game a few years later and that hunch was correct. Which is such a random weird hunch to be correct??? Why can't I be this accurrate with everything else in my life???

Anyway, I wanted to try and do a more pop art style, so I used an overlay color of orange on chrom and made the background blue. Some good ol' complementary theory. Then, I added CHROM in some cool looking font to give it some extra jazz. For shading, I stuck with my normal shading but added some of that stippling shading that tends to be used in comic books and manga to give it some extra umph.

I’ve been seeing a lot of discussions/discourse on tumblr and twitter surrounding kamala/voting for kamala so I want to put my two cents in as someone who will have no actual influence towards the outcome of the election

Let’s look at the hypothetical that trump wins because the vote was split or people simply just refused to and kamala didn’t gain enough votes to win.

In the scenario, I want every person who decided it would be better not to vote or vote for a random third party candidate who has no shot at winning who only comes up during election years to say all of the “not like the other guys” talking points to explain to not just me but every queer, trans, disabled, non white, AFAB person who is now at severe risk why you chose to not vote to help them have rights. I want to see your explanations if trump wins. you also cannot use Palestinians suffering to make yourself seem better than you actually are

My point is that if trump wins because your delusions lead you to believe that you can single handedly change the way elections work in this country by “sticking it to the dems” and trump wins and we become a facist state, I want to hear what you have to say when we all start loosing rights and palestine gets wiped off the map

“Well we won’t let that happen” Good fucking luck. In project 2025 im pretty sure there is a section about how we basically won’t be able to protest anything anymore, not only that im also pretty sure trump has talked about deporting pro palestine protesters specifically!

You cannot be a single issue voter in this election and in many elections to come. Change doesn’t happen overnight and you need to wake up and realize that kamala will be the start of actually getting more progressive candidates and policies even if it’s not enough right now at this very moment. We all have to actually start putting in the effort instead of sitting around on our asses complaining

If we get kamala in, we won’t have to worry about our country becoming a facist state therefore we can worry more about palestine and putting more pressure on the dems than there already is. That should be a no brainer to some of you

This post isn’t praising kamala or trying to idolize her in anyway, always be critical of politicians. This post is more of a message to the preformative leftists on tumblr and twitter who have zero knowledge on how the US government works.

It’s kamala or trump this november. We cannot change that less than 100 days away from election day

I’m not trying to bash anyone for continuing to put pressure on kamala and the dems for being complicit in bombing children. That’s not who my post is about like I already said

I think that all the protests outside of the DNC are especially important because it shows we have not forgotten and will continue to put pressure on the dems to do the right thing for once

but like I already said, it’s kamala or trump. Third party candidates are either grifters who only are there to get money and trick gullible leftists or candidates who have never been in any lower level political positions who think they can automatically garner a shit ton of support to win when they can’t. Your other option is to not vote which is arguably worse

I’m not trying to be the one to change anyones mind but I hope this post can help you reconsider your options and start facing the reality of this election

i find the creation of art very endearing, where it's not the perfection of the lines that matters, just the kind of voice people have when creating art and how they go about making their art, yknow? i love seeing how artists have different styles in how they draw things, like faces for example, or even in the way someone draws hands. i genuinely find it all so fascinating. it's gorgeous babey.
