I already knew I had no interest in Palworld when they showed the guns and slavery of the Pals in the first trailer but hearing that not only has the company dabbled in NFTs and AI but there's also HUMAN slavery AND the farms are called plantations has just totally turned me off. why did the devs think that was even slightly appropriate in this fucking day and age?

like I DO think we need an open world survival Pokemon-esq game, we really do. but not Palworld. hopefully Kindred Fates will fill that void properly, in a responsible, not overly and poorly thought out edgy way.

#granted if they make it clear in the game that the slavery is Bad and there are better ways to do the things you need to do #then that's slightly better. Morrowind has slavery in it too but it makes it very clear that it's Bad #and in quests involving them they give you options to help the slaves out and allow you to free them (two Telvanni quests come to mind)#it's not great but it's slightly better. but like. if it's like the guns then I suspect it's in there just to be edgy and “cool”#which isn't okay and shouldn't be defended. that's not okay. that's not ever okay.#and it sucks cuz again we do need a game like Palworld but without all the terrible things! Nintendo has been slacking hard and also #they been playing it way too safe and I feel like anything they make will kinda fall short #I enjoyed Scarlet and Violet but I feel like they could have done a little more if they were braver #and also. you know. payed their workers and didn't push out a new Pokemon every year.#give it time to sit so new ideas can develop properly. come on now.#anyways I have no idea if any of this is really coherent or just a rapid flow of thoughts. whatever #I'm excited for Kindred Fates. it comes out this year supposedly so I'm gonna grab that when I can #also there's nothing wrong with edgy concepts in video games. i learnt that violet was originally supposed to be black (which honestly would have been a win for representation of black queer relationships but i feel like we would’ve also ended up with white louis… shiver) and i got to thinking; clementine has never been around a black girl her age during the game, right?

ok so bee and puppycat on netflix was good, if not a bit underwhelming. sure there were some parts that really fleshed out the story, but i would’ve loved to have seen more of that instead of the bits and pieces we got.

don’t get me wrong, still loved this show! but it doesn’t feel like anything significant really happened until the end, if that makes sense.

and there’s nothing wrong with that either!! a show can still be nice without all the deeper plot points and whatnot- but for me personally, i feel like my expectations were a bit subverted (or maybe that’s just me because i really like that type of media).

all in all, it’s still pretty good! the chill vibes are definitely rainy day worthy and i’d love to pop on an episode as a relaxer from every day stressors!

just finished reading fourth wing

#IVE NEVER WANTED TO GOUGE MY BRAIN OUT AND STEP ON IT A BILLION TIMES EVER READING A BOOK MY GODDDDDDDD #it was just so fucking good and i was into it every second of it and i ate that whole book up in two days #staying up until 2am like i didn’t have work before AND 500 PAGES STILL WERENT ENOUGH I WOULDVE READ A THOUSAND #GOOD GODDDDDDD #ive never felt this way abt a book ever and if u told me i’d go this psychotic over a fantasy book i would’ve punched u in the face #i read acotar just before this and i thought it was good but this ….. THIS BOOK MY GOD #all the characters were so well written and the story wasn’t dull and the fantasy part of it was SOOOO GOODDDDD #u really get into the story and it’s not boring and i got invested in these little dragons and just UGHHHHHHHH #i’m gonna have a full psychotic episode by the time the second time is released i wish i could go back to the person i was two days ago #and violet is such a good character feyre in acotar bored me so much i had no connection to her but violet …. she’s my baby #and so is liam he’s so babygirl i love HIMMMM #i don’t even want to talk abt xaden just the thought of him makes me want to rip my hair out and set myself on fire #GOD THIS BOOK WAS SO FUCKING GOOD I WANT MOREEEEEERR #and the ending THE ENDING ????????#OH MY GODDDDDDD #i’m so glad it’s the weekend and i don’t have work tomorrow bc they would’ve locked me up in the psych ward instantly

i can't pretend i'm immune to coming away from a story with One Dude who's very particularly special to me but at the very least there's like 85% odds that he ends up transfemme in my brain

I’m having a “wants to post ten billion things” day for some fucking reason

#having many thoughts abt my new ttrpg character!!! she’s very annoying I love her #I need to text my friend to make sure I’m not making her too unbalanced #(bc I ALWAYS make characters too balanced. like so evenly distributed they’re useless)#also maintenance had to come today and they never told us what time they were coming so I was like. ok I’m not gonna waste my whole day #waiting on yall. naturally they came within abt 2 minutes of me getting in the shower #but I can’t be too mad bc I forced them to listen to fob’s latest album 🖤#since I was playing it while showering and they needed to get in the attic which is accessed right beside the bathroom 🖤#also. My first ever favorite Pokemon ever was Eevee...Because it was the only "cute" Pokemon that wasn't pink or Pikachu.

Then I saw Espeon and it was love at first sight...

But then the Popplio line became my favorite.

...Now my favorite Pokemon is Jirachi. Maybe because I just live and breathe star aesthetic.

I never thought much about Jirachi until now...

Oh yes, definitely.

They would think of themselves as simply being a quick learner somehow, but yeah, they have definitely learned many many skills beforehand.

For example, yes, they would definitely have many fighting skills and defense techniques practically engrained in their head. Some things simply cannot be forgotten. It is like how they have always known what blood even back before they had even seen it while working under LBD. They just knew, and they never could ever figure out why.

So yeah, a few villagers have definitely been at the receiving end of their spontaneity. But hey, in the end, they were 'created by Lady Bone', right? Perhaps she had just built these skills into their mind right from the beginning.
