#I WANT THE LINKS TO ACCESS THEIR POWER-UP ONCE THEY MAKE UP AND WORK TOGETHER AT THE PALACE OF WINDS LIKE A REAL TEAM

Note
why do u ship robrae so much
short answer: THEY UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER mainly childhood nostalgia my brain refuses to let go of.
long answer: I’m a slut for a brooding couple dynamic. Most of my ship fuel is from the 03 cartoon so I can’t say much about comics or any other media. Warning: I am gonna YAP.
In Nevermore Robin is the one to break through her attack on Dr. Light and then later tries to constantly respect her space when she asks to be left alone despite the others wanting to check on her.
Robin was the one to figure out the connection between Raven’s powers shorting out and the haunted house in Fear Itself because he knows her so well.
They confide in each other their hesitancy’s about Terra, both the first time she comes around and when she makes a come back later on.
It’s a small thing in Spellbound but after one of the missions she runs back to her room and he’s the first one to check on her— noticing specifically how she seemed to be in a rush and wanted to make sure she was okay.
In Haunted she easily could have just used her soul self to fly through the building through the walls and used her empathy to find Robin but instead she made a mental link to him. Whether the show meant it to be a physical bond or not, it stirred up memories and information Robin likely wouldn’t have been open about otherwise. He had the option to deny her access to his mind, but I think he needed some sort of reassurance someone else could really see Slade and that he wasn’t going crazy. If he was going to trust anyone physically in his head it was going to be Raven.
Then we get into the fucking birthmark/prophecy/ end arc and I go absolutely mental.
Robin knows she doesn’t want to celebrate her birthday for some reason and even on the insistence of the others he hesitantly goes along with it because he still wants to celebrate his friend. When they’re fighting Slade, Robin is almost crushed by a gear which is what prompts her to panic and accidentally stop time. Robin is the only one she frees from the time freeze and trusts him with the prophecy of her birth. They’re both trying to protect each other and it’s just the start of them doing anything for each other. I think it’s very heavily insinuated Slade assaults Raven, to an extent, and Robin is the one to catch her after and take her home. When they try to throw another party for her he makes a point to check in again and ask her if she’s really okay with this. Plus Robin’s comment of her being in his head and letting him inside hers will always stick with me. He’s trying to be vulnerable with her and hoping she’ll do the same. She almost wavers, but the fear of losing the people she’s close to holds her back from telling him everything.
Robin can tell there’s something going on with her in The Prophecy, especially when they’re in the library right before she leaves to go to Azarath. When she returns to kick Slades ass and she’s goading Slade about protecting the gem Robin puts it together that Raven is the gem.
Then The fucking End. Raven does her best to make the end of the world the best day she can for her friends and Robin tries to get the others to go easy on her when she makes a dogshit breakfast. When her body starts to react to The End and she falls to the ground crying Robin is the one to comfort her. Robin and Cy working on a room to specifically keep her safe from Trigon so nothing can get to her. Then despite all that Robin literally goes to hell for her. Teams up with Slade, the man he hates the most in the world, in order to find her. He guides her through hell to face her father and once again when Robin is knocked unconscious she finds the strength to kick some ass. The lightness in her tone when she hugs Robin and says “Somebody believed,” and he embraces her in return. Their conversation at the end of the saga about how Raven is what gives Robin hope— as if she doesn’t feel the same exact way wtf.
I think they push each other in ways the others necessarily don’t. They understand there’s a darkness to each of them and it’s something they can fully accept in each other. I think sometimes having someone in a darker place than you can bring out an unexpected light.
Robin knows when to check on Raven but he also knows when to give her space. In contrast, Raven knows when Robin needs space but also knows when to force her help on him. They’re both stubborn, snappy and hot headed; but they would do literally anything for each other and regardless of how heated their words may get they’re always honest with each other. The trust they have for each other is insurmountable and I think that adds to their chemistry.
I also just have so many other small niche things in my brain that are just constantly screaming at me like

everything Zelda has ever said in botw
Open your eyes
You’ve been alseep for one hundred years.
That is the sheikah slate. Take it. It will help guide you after your long slumber
Hold the Sheikah Slate up to the pedestal. That will show you the way
Link… You are the light-our light-that must shine upon Hyrule once again. Now go…
Link… Head for the point marked on the map in your Sheikah Slate.
Remember… Try… Try to remember… You have been asleep for the past 100 years.
The beast. When the beast regains its true power, this world will face its end.
Now then… You must hurry, Link
Free the four divine beasts
endings
I’ve been keeping watch over you all this time… I’ve witnessed your struggles ti return to us as well as your trials in battle. I always thought-no, I always believed- that you would find a way to defeat ganon. I never lost faith in you over these many years… Thank you, Link… …the hero of Hyrule. May I ask… Do you really remember me?
We’ll make our way to Zora’s domain. Divine Beast Vah Ruta…looks like it stopped working. Let’s investigate the situation. Mipha’s father… I believe he would like to hear more about her. The least we can do is visit him and offer him some closure. Although Ganon is gone for now, there is still so much more for us to do. And so many painful memories that we must bear. I believe in my heart, that if all of us work together…  we can restore Hyrule to its former glory. Perhaps…even beyond. But it all must start with us. Let’s be off. I can no longer hear the voice inside the sword. I suppose it would make sense if my power had dwindled over the past 100 years… I’m surprised to admit it… but I can accept that.
Subdueded Cermony
Hero of Hyrule, chosen by the sword that seals the darkness. You have shown unflinching bravery and the skill in the face of darkness and adversity. And have proven yourself worthy of the blessing of the Goddess Hylia. Whether skyward bound, adrift in time, or steeped in the glowing embers of twilight… The sacred blade is forever bound to the soul of the Hero. We pray for your protection…and we hope that- that the two of you will grow stronger together, as one. Forged in the long distance past, the sword this is the part the champions start talking i tried to hear everything as best i could ancient story by through the series of time and distance our hope is on you
Resolve and grief
From here, we’ll make our way to Goron City Then we’ll need some adjustments in that divine beast so Daruk can manage it as easily as possible. He’s figured out how to get it to move… However, it’s apparent that we still have much more to learn. But to think that divine beast was actually built by people… That means we should be able to understand how it works and how to use it to our advantage. These divine beasts…so much we don’t know… But if we want to turn back on the Calamity Ganon, they’re our best hope. Tell me the truth… Jow proficient are you building that sword on your back? Legend says that there’s an ancient voice resonantes inside it. Can you hear it yet…Hero?
Zelda’s resentment
Nothing. Just as I thought. Hmm. It appears that the structure was designed to be exclusively accessed by the sword’s chosen one. But designs can always be worked around, at least I hope. How do I get inside…? I need to activate it somehow. I thought I made it clear that I am not in need of an escort. It seems I’m the only one with the mind of my own. I, the person in question, am fine, regardless of the king’s orders. Return to the castle. And tell that to my father, please. And stop following me!
Urbosa’s hand
Urbosa! What was that?! Did you feel that? Wait, what-how did you- what are you doing here?! wh-whats so funny?
A premonition
That cut doesn’t look too bad, actually. You’re fine for now. But you know, there’s a fine line between courage and recklessness. As brave as you are, that does not make you immortal. it seems that not only are the frequency of these types of attacks on the rise… but the scale of the beasts we are facing is intensifying as well. I fear that- I fear that this is an omen that portends the return of Calamity Ganon. And if that’s the case, I’m ready to expect the worst. We’ll need to make preparations as soon as possible.
Silent Princess
Theres one! And look another! The flowers we have in Hyrule aren’t just beautiful… They’re also quite useful as ingredients for variety of things. this one is called the silent princess. It’s a rare, endangered species. despite our efforts, we can’t go them domestically yet. The princess can only thrive out here in the wild. All we can hope is that the species will be strong enough to prosper on its own. Is that why I think it is?! Look at this! I don’t believe it, but I actually caught one! This delicacy is known to have very, very potent effects under the proper circumstances. Tada! Research from the castle shows injecting one of these can actually augment certain abilities. We wouldn’t be in a controlled environment out here, but with your level physical fitness… you’d be a perfect candidate for the study! Go on! Taste it!
Sheltering from the storm
I doubt this will let up anytime soon… Your path seems to mirror your father’s. You’ve dedicated yourself to becoming a knight, as well. Your commitment to the training necessary to fulfill your goal is really quite admirable. I see now why you would be the chosen one. What if… One day… You realized that you just weren’t meant to be a fighter. Yet the only thing people ever said… was that you were born to a family of royal guards and so no matter what you thought, you had to become a knight. If that was the only thing you were ever told… I wonder, then… would you have chosen a different path?
Father and Daughter
Incredible… We’re at a point now where we can actually control them. At the current rate, we’ll soon know all we need to know about the guardians and the divine beasts! And should Ganon ever show itself again, we’ll be positioned to defend ourselves.
I… I was assessing the results of the experiment with the guardians. These pieces of ancient technology could be quite useful against the-
I’m doing everything I can. I’ll have you know I just recently returned from the Spring of Courage where I offered every ounce of my prayers to the Goddess-
I already am. Don’t you see-there’s nothing more I can do! My hope is… My hope is that you-  That you’ll allow me to contribute here in whatever way I can.
Yes. Yes I understand.
Slumbering power
I come seeking help…regarding this power that has been handed down over time…
Prayer will awaken my power to se Ganon away… Or so I’ve been told all my life… and yet Grandmother heard them-the voices from the spirt realm. And Mother said her power would develop within me. But I don’t hear… or feel anything! Father has told me time and time again… He always says, “Quit wasting your time playing at being a scholar!” Curse you. I’ve spent every day of my life dedicated to praying! I’ve pleaded to the spirits tied to ancient gods… And still the holy powers have proven deaf my devotion. Please just tell me… What is it…? What’s wrong with me?!
To mount layruru
“Be sure to take the time to soothe your mount…That’s the only way it will know how you truly feel.” Your advice was quite helpful-thank you.  This little one and I are getting along quite well now. At first, I wasn’t sure if I should outfit him with all of the royal gear. I thought maybe he should have to earn it first. But it works! Hd wears it like a true natural. I’m trying to be more empathetic. Benefit of the doubt, you know?  See that mountain? That’s Mt. Lanayru. It takes its name from the Goddess of wisdom. Lanayru’s decree is very specific. It says: “No one is allowed, under the age of seventeen… For only the wise are permitted a place upon the mountain.” I’ve prayed at the Spring of Courage and at the Spring of Power,  yet neither awoke anything inside me. But maybe up there… Perhaps the Spring of Wisdom, the final of the three, will be the one. To be honest, I have no real reason to think that will be the case. But there’s always the chance that the next moment will change everything. Tomorrow…is my seventeenth birthday. So then I shall go… and make my way up the mountain.
Return of calamity ganon
I’m sorry, no.
That’s kind of you, thank you.
It’s awake. Ganon!
No! I am not a child anymore! I may not be much use on the battlefield… But there must…There must be something I can do to help!
Despair
How… How did it come to this?  The Divine Beasts…The guardians… They’ve all turned against us… It was… Calamity Ganon. It turned them all against us! And everyone- Mipha, Urbosa, Revali and Daruk… They’re all trapped inside those things… It’s all my fault! Our only hope for defeating Ganon is lost all because I couldn’t harmess this cursed power! Everything-everything I’ve done up until now… It was all for nothing… So I really am jealous a failure! All my friends… the entire kingdom… my father most of all… I tried, and I failed them all…I’ve left them…all to die
Zelda’s awakening
Link, save yourself! Go! I’ll be fine! Don’t worry about me! Run!
NO!
Was… was that…? The power… No, no… Link! Get up! You’re going to be just fine. The sword… So he can… He can still be saved. Take Link to the shrine of resurrection. If you don’t get him there immediately, we are going to lose him forever! Is that clear? So make haste and go! His life is now in your hands!
The master sword
Your master will come for you. Until then, you shall rest safely here. Although the Slumber of Restoration will most certainly deprive him of his memories, please trust me when I say that I know he will arrive before you yet again.
The master sword… I heard it speak to me. It seems that my role is unfinished. There is still something I must do. Great Deku tree, I ask of you, when he returns, can you please relay this message… Tell him I-
Yes.
Champion Revali’s song
My apologies. I went to the village, and I was told I could find you here. Thank you Revali. If we work together. I’m certain we’ll be able to defeat-
Champion Daruk’s song
Thank you Daruk!
You sound like father. He’s assigning a knight to watch over me wherever I go. I hear the top contender is the most accomplished swordsman in all of Hyrule.
Oh! You’re safe. It seems our friend here was the one being attacked. Precious boy. You saved his life!
I never imagined the Great Daruk would have weakness.
Champion Mipha’s song
Goron vigilance, Daruk, Rito confidence, Revali. Gerudo spirit, Urbosa. And also… the Hylian with the sword that seals the darkness. Link.
Mipha… Perhaps he is still too young to swim up this big waterfall.
Champion Urbosa’s song
Gerudo cheif Urbosa… On behalf of Hyrule and its king, I thank you.
I’ve never seen you so serious, Urbosa!
Urbosa! Huh? You mean mother?
Ceramony
It is. Apparently there are more uses for it than we originally thought. Sadly, we’ve yet to decipher all of its secrets.
Zelda’s diary
page 1
After meeting with the Champions, I left to research the ancient technology, but nothing of note came of my research.
The return of Ganon looms—a dark force taunting us from afar. I must learn all I can about the relics so we can stop him.
If the fortune-teller's prophecy is to be believed, there isn't much time left...
Ah, but turning over these thoughts in my head puts me ill at ease. I suppose I should turn in for the night.
P.S. Tomorrow my father is assigning HIM as my appointed knight...
Page 2
I set out for Goron City today to make some adjustments to Divine Beast Vah Rudania.
I still recall feeling his eyes on me as I walked ahead. The feeling stayed with me so long, I grew anxious and weary.
It is the same feeling I've felt before in his company... And still, not a word passes his lips.
I never know what he's thinking! It makes my imagination run wild, guessing at what he is thinking but will not say.
What does the boy chosen by the sword that seals the darkness think of me? Will I ever truly know?
Then, I suppose it's simple. A daughter of Hyrule's royal family yet unable to use sealing magic... He must despise me.
page 3
I said something awful to him today...
My research was going nowhere. I was feeling depressed, and I had told him repeatedly not to accompany me.
But he did anyway, as he always does, and so I yelled at him without restraint.
He seemed confused by my anger. I feel terribly guilty...and that guilt only makes me more agitated than I was before.
page 4
I am unsure how to put today's events into words. Words so often evade me lately, and now more than ever.
He saved me. Without a thought for his own life, he protected me from the ruthless blades of the Yiga Clan.
Though I've been cold to him all this time...taking my selfish and childish anger out on him at every turn...
Still, he was there for me. I won't ever forget that. Tomorrow, I shall apologize for all that has transpired between us.
And then...I will try talking to him. To Link. It’s worth a shot!
page 5
Bit by bit, I've gotten Link to open up to me. It turns out he's quite a glutton. He can't resist a delicious meal!
When I finally got around to asking why he's so quiet all the time, I could tell it was difficult for him to say. But he did.
With so much at stake, and so many eyes upon him, he feels it necessary to stay strong and to silently bear any burden.
A feeling I know all too well... For him, it has caused him to stop outwardly expressing his thoughts and feelings.
I always believed him to be simply a gifted person who had never faced a day of hardship. How wrong I was...
Everyone has struggles that go unseen by the world... I was so absorbed with my own problems, I failed to see his.
I wish to talk with him more and to see what lies beneath those calm waters, to hear him speak freely and openly...
And perhaps I, too, will be able to bare my soul to him and share the demons that have plagued me all these years
page 6
Father scolded me again today. He told me I am to have nothing more to do with researching ancient technology.
He insisted that I focus instead on training that will help me awaken my sealing magic.
I was so frustrated and ashamed I could not even speak. I've been training since I was a child, and yet...
Mother passed the year before my training was to begin. In losing her, I lost not just a mother, but a teacher.
Mother used to smile and tell me, "Zelda, my love, all will be well in the end. You can do anything."
But she was wrong. No matter how I try or how much time passes...the sealing power that is my birthright evades me.
Tomorrow I journey with Link to the Spring of Power to train. But this, too, will end in failure. Such is my curse.
page 7
I had a dream last night... In a place consumed by darkness, a lone woman gazed at me, haloed by blinding light.
I sensed she was...not of this world. I don't know if she was a fairy or a goddess, but she was beautiful.
Her lips spoke urgently, but her voice did not reach me. Would I have heard her if my power was awoken?
Or was my dream simply a manifestation of my fears? I am sure I will know the answer soon, whether I wish to or not...
page 8
I turned 17 today. That means this is the day I will finally be allowed to train at the Spring of Wisdom.
When Link arrives, we will set out for Mount Lanayru. The other Champions will accompany us there.
I have not seen my father since he last scolded me. Things are too strained now... I will meet with him when I return.
Actually...I've had a horrible feeling ever since that weird dream. No one would believe a failure of a princess, but...
Right now, for no particular reason, I am filled with a strange and terrible certainty that something awful is about to happen.
Research journal
 page 1
Today I met with Impa of the Sheikah tribe and began my research into the ancient technology in earnest.
Impa introduced me to Purah and Robbie, other respected members of her tribe.
Tomorrow I embark on an excavation with them.
We hope to find ancient tech with which to operate the Guidance Stones
page 2
Today we uncovered some ancient technology that we believe may have the power to control the Guidance Stone.
It is a rectangular object, small enough to be held in my two hands. Sheikah text is featured prominently on it.
It is made of an unknown material, but we believe it is the same as the shrines scattered across each region.
Impa proposed that I hold on to it for now. I hope that it leads to some new developments in our research.
page 3
The stone relic we discovered has been named. We are calling it the Sheikah Slate.
We have not found any mention of a name for this object in the records we have unearthed so far...
Nevertheless, Purah insisted we call it the Sheikah Slate, as the relic is a slate made by the Sheikah tribe.
Feels a bit on the nose to me, but it was not a fight I thought I could win
page 4
We did it. We were finally able to restore some functionality to the Sheikah Slate.
We have discovered that this stone slate is capable of producing...images. Perfect likenesses of the things you point it at.
Unlike normal pictures drawn by hand, this requires no artist to capture anything in perfect detail.
I deeply admire the accomplishments of Sheikah technology. Still...I know there is more to learn. There must be.
We believe the Sheikah Slate may have a function that will allow it to control the Guidance Stone.
We must continue our research, and quickly.
page 5
We have started training the Champions who will pilot the Divine Beasts.
It may sound rude that I found this unexpected, but Mipha mastered the controls with surprising ease.
Daruk struggled at first but eventually got the hang of it. Urbosa and Revali both managed just fine as well.
I can finally see the light of hope in our fight against the rising Calamity.
page 6
Robbie has restored mobility to many of the Guardians we've excavated.
...But we have still yet to find all of the Guardians. Records mention a greater number of them—and even other types.
They are said to be stored in five giant columns that rest beneath Hyrule Castle. The thing is...
No matter how I search beneath the castle, I can't seem to locate these columns. They must be buried deep.
Were they perhaps designed to sense the appearance of Calamity Ganon and to only activate upon his return?
page 7
Countless ancient structures are being discovered across Hyrule...but all attempts to enter them have failed.
Records indicate that these are facilities designed to train the hero who is fated to combat the Calamity.
But the crucial activation mechanism remains a mystery. Is the Sheikah Slate the key to activating them?
That is Purah's theory, and I concur. And yet, my experiments so far have been fruitless.
Still, we must exhaustively investigate all means of opposing the Calamity. We must not give up, no matter what!
page 8
I spoke with Purah about the Shrine of Resurrection we discovered earlier.
As we speculated, this particular shrine is, in fact, a medical facility with the power to heal.
It also has a long-term stasis function that can be activated and maintained until healing is complete.
In the war against the Calamity 10,000 years ago...were the injuries so great as to necessitate such a facility?
If so, I will remain uneasy until we have made all adjustments necessary to restore it to full working order.
I can only pray that even if Calamity Ganon returns, our battle will not require the Shrine of Resurrection's power...

You could say I'm. I'm explaining the uh. The art of the deal.
So, since this post is helping me get off my ass and actually try to write again, I'd thought I'd outline the main answer in this AU to the obvious question of "Why does Alastor care enough about sinners to do this?"
so, I contrived this (lol). tell me your thoughts, y'all.
I stated that it was because he wanted to do something his mom would be proud of, and while true, that's the catalyst. Why would he start caring now about doing something his mother would approve of after decades in Hell?
Simple. The Deal with Vaggie!
How Deals work here in this AU:
It's common knowledge in Hell that a Deal is a form of soul magic. how else would it be able to have real, physical consequences on those who break it? Thing is, what's not common knowledge, is why Dealmakers gain power from making more Deals.
A being's magical power is linked to the strength of their soul. When they die, the weight of their sins or the light of their good deeds for sinners and Angels respectively, come together to form the strength of their soul. This is why even new sinners can be more powerful than Hellborn sometimes, though not often. It takes someone like Alastor, serial killer of 49 people, to pull something like that off.
A Deal is the only known way to directly and safely increase the strength of your soul. When a Deal is made, the participants' magic intermingles. Most assume that this s what makes sinners more powerful, that somehow the magic mixing strengthens them.
What they don't know, is that when a Deal is made, a small piece of each of the souls of the participants breaks off and merges, into a sort of indistinguishable soul-mass. The magic poured into the Deal then does something that is seen in no other process; it mixes with the soul-mass, and grows it. In this way, when the soul-mass splits itself evenly between the participants of the Deal, their total soul-size actually increases, which is the real reason why demons (and angels too, if they participated!) can gain power from this process.
The soul-mass splits off, the magic and terms of the Deal engraved into it, enforcing the Deal. This isn't well-known, only those rare few with soul-sight or access to it know about this.
Now, why is this the answer to why Alastor cares? Well, the soul-mass is a mix of the two or more souls involved in the process. Which means that some measure of the self of the participants is sent to each other once the Deal goes through. Now, normally this is unnoticable. Sinners making contracts with each other are all, well, in Hell. They're there for a reason. Plus, it's a pretty even split, so usually the change is negligible.
Sure, if Charlie in canon were, under this ruleset, to make Deals with, say, a shit ton of Val's prostitutes, or a shit ton of the Exorcists, you'd start noticing some pretty significant personality drift from all the similar differing worldviews she's taking into herself. But the fact that this requires so many Deals to be made with people of the same or similar self, means that only ancient Dealmakers can really get affected by this, and on the off chance that they do make enough Deals with people with similar selves that it actually shifts their own self, it's chalked up to changing with time. Plus, the original holder's self is also in there, so it heavily offsets the change.
But, what about in Alastor's case? Well, few have made a Deal with a Angel before. Almost none, in fact, given that Lucifer is kind of a recluse. But one thing to remember is that Angelic magic overpowers Demonic magic. It's why demons can actually "die" from Angel attacks. So, when Alastor makes the Deal with Vaggie, what's different from the normal process is that her Angelic soul and magic almost completely overpower what little piece of Alastor is in the soul-mass, so the majority of the self in the bew soul pieces is hers, and despite the violence, she genuinely wants to do good, it's why she was misguided into the Exorcists.
Add to that the fact that Vaggie's never made a Deal before, and Exorcist magic training amounts to "make a big fuckoff laser with it and fire", (yes they can do that in this AU), she puts way, way more magic into it than Alastor does. So while the soul splitting evenly means that Alastor gains a truly immense powerboost from it (and Vaggie too, actually!), it also means his self is strongly affected by Vaggie's. And since Angelic magic overpowers Demonic, a part of his soul is now irrevocably Angelic. It's a really small part, not enough to qualify at all to be any sort of demon-angel hybrid like Charlie, who's half-angel-half-demon, but boy is it there.
Thus, to summarize, TL;DR: Alastor's personality slowly changes to be more chill, and he grows something of a conscience because his soul and a part of Vaggie's merge and his personality was affected.
also also, just a thought completely unrelated to this AU, but what if Charlie has a true demon form where she gets wings! now she can fly with her girlfriend!!

I Am once again asking for season 3 Dndads to be about adults <PLEASE>
specifically my adults here that i have already made!
Tumblr media
WELCOME, Folks!!! to my Cyber Punk Nursing home Dndads Pitch!!!
DNDADS PRIDE
(pride is a brand of a motorized wheel chair)
[straps activate on you chair you are stuck here you must read!]
So the idea is that Grandkid's (Scary, Link, Normal, Taylor) Grandkids (shown above) are the playable characters, but there are all seniors who have been placed in a Long Term Care Facility (a better name for "nursing homes" btw). But the world has progressed enough that things are cyberpunk!
maybe all of the PCs loved one's all stop showing up on the same visit day. The PCs combine their efforts to try to find out why, and then they run into a big mystery or conspiracy through that.
themes that could be in season 3 just because we set it in a care facility and have senior Characters.
Normalizing a variety of disabilities and dreaming of how accessibility devices can advance
humanizing people over 50, [Please please please, we've done it to the middle aged, we sexualized the heck outta those dads. ive seen what people have done with Omega Daddies in certain circles (my circles) we have the Power to let retired people be more than a punchline. i want something to look forward to in my older years! let them be silly complex sexual full people PLEASE!!!]
community building!!! alot of care facilities in my area Have social and communal activities they do because their residents get together and demand/them. groups -just like the one ive drawn- get together, out of boredom and loneliness (often people who have better mobility and memory) and then make it their job to work with staff and people who have a harder time advocating for them selves. to make sure social needs and wants are being fulfilled. and now that we have (what i perceive to be) a younger audience. it would be great to show them how that sort of work is done and how it can make a big change to quality of life. [the 3rd character (who i designed for Will) seemed like the type to start one of these groups. just look at her with that big purse and cool jacket. thats a move maker folks!]
the way that older/disabled people are often overlooked, and therefore people often forget to keep secrets away from them. [the second character (i designed for Matt) i wanted him to look as unassuming as possible, for this exact reason]
Interesting Villains and Problems that aren't often shown because people font write about older folks.
an exploration on how technology can help people (and how corporations will make people have to pay for medically necessary things)
the way nurses and care staff can be very helpful and empathetic. and how others are assholes who are at best just here for a paycheck, and at worse actively hurting people for amusement.
Elderly abuse, not just actively hitting people. there are countless examples of people taking advantage of people who are disenfranchised (like an older people or people with disabilities). often we see and talk about financial abuse. [my idea of the first character (hopefully played by Freddie), was someone who seemed oblivious to a deadbeat family member using them for money maybe because of a memory issue. (potentially there could be a twist about the PC knowing the whole time, and deciding to go along because they think its funny that their kid has to sit threw a marathon of daytime television to get 50$ a week instead of just outright asking for a lump sum)]

Gushing About Zhu Hanbin and Jing Yanqiao in The City of Musicals S2
The City of Musicals (S2, at least) is kinda like The Voice. 24 musical actors, 3 troupes, covering musical numbers, elimination every episode. Season 2 focuses on young/fresh talents.
I was on a Zhu Hanbin(LG musical actor) binge and got really into this show once I found out his frequent CXS counterpart, Jing Yanqiao, is there as well. Now seems like the right time to make this post since JYQ's birthday is soon (April 13th!) and everyone barely knows him so, to begin here's a cute interaction they had on weibo after what I can only assume is a Link Click rehearsal.
Tumblr media
You can access the full episodes here. But I'm going to discuss and link each performances under the cut.
Oh yeah, before I start. I have notes of the context of some performances (not including them bcs I only researched some and not all), so if you like any of them and would like to dive deeper or just wants the context in general just ask and I'll share what I have. (That said, the 10th is Ied so I might be busy and took a while to answer)
Scouting stage (Ep.1-2)
They are sorted into groups of three and perform together as the same character.
For Forever from Dear Evan Hansen
Performed by Sun Tiecheng, Zhu Hanbin, and Wang Haoran. I love ZHB's expression in this performance, it's very innocent and hopeful but also with a hint of hurt? It fits the vibe of the song. It's a really nice, soft and hopeful performance. ZHB's expression really paid off since he got scouted into 2 troupes. Funfact, ZHB and Wang Haoran are classmates lol, they didn't know the other auditioned on this show before they got sorted together. Their third teammate felt very awkward lol.
Dans Le Noir Je Vois Rouge from Le Rouge et Le Noir
Roughly translated to "In the dark, I see red" performed by Alladin, Jing Yangqiao and Tian Ye. It's very good, dark and angry vibes. It's from a French rock musical so yea I really like it. I know I wanted to highlight JYQ but the original rap that Tian Ye (right) arranged is definitely the best part of this performance. The three of them worked really well together. Also, Jing Yanqiao was asked if he felt pressured performing with his seniors (he's still in school) and he answered yes, but most importantly he was intimidated by their heights. so cute lmao. Don't worry JYQ, you're still taller than ZHB. This is also 1 of the only 2 groups where all three performers get scouted.
Sidenote: I found the original song and I've been translating it to practice my French lol. In fact, I found a recording of the whole original musical.
Round 1 (Ep.3-4)
Each troupe prepares 2 Duo performance and 1 solo performance.
No Longer Human from No Longer Human
Performed by Sun Sankai and Zhu Hanbin. Yes, as in the Osamu Dazai novel. ZHB played Yezang (Oba Yozo) the protagonist of the novel and Sun Sankai played Osamu Dazai the author. So this is an existential conversation between author and his character. That's probably why this set design is creepy, but in a good way! An amazing duet, very powerful vocals from both of them, a very nice listen. But damn those hands are wobbly and every time I watch them climb up it, I worry if its gonna fall. Also, camerawork feels like something out of a 2nd Gen K-pop music show lol. And ZHB is barefoot for some reason... If I caught it properly it's bcs he's scared of falling off the hand? I need to double check but understandable.
Therapy from Tick, Tick..., Boom!
Performed by Jing Yangqiao and Feng Difei I couldn't find the cut version of this performance so you would have to do with the timestamped link of the full episode. This is such an adorable and fun performance. I love the cutee original phoneline choreography they have and how their voices work together. Also, JYQ and Feng Difei playing couples and going on a date bcs the coach tells them it would help their chemistry. Why are they lowkey kinda cute though. The post-performance interview of this reads like a blind date interview istg. The interview keep asking questions like what JYQ got her for her BDay and if they have made each other mad like the characters in the musical, etc.
Round 2 (Ep.5-6)
There are 2 troupe duo performances, and 2 cross-troupe trio performances.
The Other Side from The Greatest Showman
Performed by Sun Sankai and Zhu Hanbin. This one is so good, soooo good. I already liked the song before but their voices fit this song really well. Then you get to see, ZHB can dance y'all. I like how energetic this performance is, they really ran around the stage and walk across the table. Special mention to Sun Sankai who practiced that hat kicking trick to perfection, he got to a streak of 100 successes during practice. And to the bartender too, I love his expressions.
In A Crowd of Thousands from Anastasia
Performed by Jing Yangqiao and Feng Difei Yes, it's these two again, playing a couple again lol. Yes, they also went on a date again to prepare for this performance. (In fact, they're paired in a new musical "Love Myth" airing next month) Truly giving off a romantic, magical, and almost fairy tale-like feels. I love how sweet it is. The mini-them also did a good job with their performance. Fun fact about this one, JYQ played in Anastasia musical before this show and is still currently playing in Anastasia, both as Dmitri, just like he did in this performance.
It's Not Me It's You from uhh pretty sure it's an original rap based on disney villains. So it's from Disney, I guess.
Performed by Jing Yanqiao, Zhao Qianlong, and Zhou Mohan. I can't take this performance seriously, not with those outfits LMAO. JYQ as Gaston looking like Winnie the Pooh instead, I can't. That said, the rap is really good, I like the flow, I like the beat, it's great. I jusst, those outfits lmao. Even JYQ posted on his weibo how the outfit simply wasn't it. I can add the photo he took in the rb but pls just watch the performance.
Round 3 (Ep.7-8)
Each troupe prepares 2 duo performances again.
Disappear from Dear Evan Hansen
Performed by Jing Yanqiao and Zhu Hanbin. Yes, they both performed together in this one! I couldn't find the cut version again, sorry. IDK why, maybe it's copyright? For now, timestamped link. I can't explain why, I really like this performance and I really like their dynamic. Their voices also goes nice together but I know that already from watching them together in the LC musical. So yea, this is good. Though, ZHB being projected as JYQ/Evan's hallucination of Connor is kinda goofy looking. Also, so far ZHB has been kind of type-casted as the innocent boy or bright-eyed young man in need of guidance type so to see him playing a more aggressive/leading character (though not by much) is nice.
(JYQ doesn't have that problem, literally he was scouted by the troupe bcs they feel 'he's young and thus can be molded into anything'. ZHB did have to help him perfect the anxious boy act for this performance.)
Quarterfinals (Ep.9)
A trio performance from each troupe, along with a single cross-troupe performance.
Believe in Miracles from Ultraman (yes, the superhero show)
Performed by Sun Sankai, Zhu Hanbin, and Jing Yangqiao. Original skit. Both JYQ and ZHB act as students to Sun Sankai's teacher. The song sounds vaguely familiar to me, maybe that's why I like it so much. It's very fun, rock vibes. JYQ intentional voice crack in the beginning cracks me up. It's a very energetic song too, makes me want to pick up a guitar and jam along. (No, IDK how to play the guitar beyond the basics lol). It honestly looks like they were an idol group or something. (LC Idol AU anyone?)
Goodbye Cassini from Cassini
Performed by Zhao Qianlong, Zhu Hanbin, and Tian. I'll be honest, not a big fan of the skit, it is better enjoyed as just a goodbye song to a beloved space probe, but I am a huge fan of the song (Original ver. here with subbed lyrics, it a got more opera? vibe to it. both ver. are very good though.). I've been randomly humming 'Goodbye, my Cassini~' for days. I am so tempted to make a fic based on this song. Tian (the girl) really carried this performance with her angelic vocals, it's so great and heartbreaking. Her heartbreak at having to leave her friends behind and knowing full well they're never going to meet again. If you're watching this one, I highly recommend you wear your headphones. Trust me, it will cleanse your ears. And if you want to skip straight to the song? 5 minute mark.
Semifinals and Finals (Ep.10)
The semifinals are duo performances of an original musical number. The finals are a solo performance from the top 2. They are available on spotify and youtube music.
The Greatest Show from The Greatest Showman
Performed by the top 4 contestants: Zhu Hanbin, Miao Mengqing, Jing Yanqiao, and Zhou Mohan. I don't have a lot to say about this one. Really nice performance, a bonus to a great episode. Yeaay, both of our LC boys got into the top 4!
Assassin
Performed by Jing Yanqiao and Miao Mengqing To be honest, not the biggest fan but maybe that's just me not being a fan of historical drama in any form. JYQ used a fake facial hair, so that's something too I guess. That said, it's pretty nice to listen to and the dance/sword fight choreography is really cool. (Though as someone who used to do choreographed fights, I feel kinda dissapointed it's more sworddance rather than swordfight.) Miao Mengqing's voice is really powerful, just listen to her. Unfortunately JYQ was eliminated here, but he reached the top 4! I'm proud of him. He also learned the choreo and to play the uhhh (it's 1am, lookup instrument nme later) in only a week. So that's cool.
Don't Believe him
Performed by Zhu Hanbin and Zhou Mohan. This one I highly recommend. This song is an emotional banger and I've been listening to this on loop for days. The choreo and staging is good too, although there's one part that I think is a bit goofy (thankfully it's not too distracting). The fight/struggle choreo they did here have more power than Assassin so I really like it. Really cool, makes you wanna punch a bully, I love it. ZHB played a bullied kid and Zhou Mohan plays ZHB's 'perfect' dream self who wants to keep him in this dream world and away from the hurtful reality. This song (as well as Assassin) is available on spotify and yt music, but the live version is 10x better because it captures the emotion better. You can hear ZHB's desperation and sadness as well as Zhou Mohan's anger and frustration, it's great.
Lonely Mountaintop from The Devotion of Suspect X
Performed by Zhu Hanbin. It's good, I enjoy it. Though as a final song I do kinda wish he picked a song with more power? IDK. It's still good though, it's emotional, I love the build up, the set design is pretty, and the song fit his voice really well. ZHB won 2nd place with this song. Congrats on your hard work!
Miao Mengqing won first place and honestly? She deserved it, she's so good. But this post is focusing on our LC actors ZHB and JYQ so uhh. Please watch her final performance singing "I Have Nothing" here, it's so great, she's great, I love her voice so much.
Fun fact, JYQ did not vote for ZHB in the finals lol, he did it right in front of ZHB too and I'm pretty sure at that point they were already announced as cast in the LC musical. (Sorry ZHB, but I too would vote for Miao Mengqing there)
Last bonus (which I'm not gonna link) before we end this post. In the 3rd episode, around 20minutes in Zhu Hanbin and Jing Yanqiao did an advertisement for their water sponsor together and they're very awkward, it's funny to me.

Every time I go to hyrule castle I remember that video about the royal guard weapons and how they were shiekah tech created to mimic the master sword (and failed - they're powerful but brittle and no more effective against the calamity than anything else). And I just remember the little detail of the wings on the hilt. On the master sword, they face up when the blade points down. On the royal guard weapons, they face up when the blade points up.
And to me, that little detail is very indicative of what they thought about the hero and the cycle.
The wings face up when fi is at rest. Waiting. Sealing. Not lifted.
For them, their swords face up when they brandish them, when they raise them against their enemies, when they wave them around and cheer.
That's what they think the hero does. That's what they think they can replicate and take for themselves.
That's not what a hero does at all.
Sure, he spends a lot of time doing that, but it's a fraction of the whole. The hero does not do it for glory or pay or fame. He is kind. He helps everyone who asks. He gets things for little kids and listens to their stories and helps people find their pets and goes out of his way to leave the stranger a little happier them when they met. He spends hours crawling through mazes and enemies to find something he can use later.
He does not raise his sword in anger. The job is not done once the villain of the day is skewered on his sword. It needs to be sealed, the darkness pushed back until the next generations can take up the call. It's passing on the torch to yourself. The master sword must seal evil during those intervening centuries.
The heroes soul is one, by breath of the wild, long forged in faith and love and determination and the flames of war and loss. The curse of demise makes it so that only one strong enough to stand against it can push it back. The heroes soul is one that is pure. It's a long reset game, and everyone knows the way it plays out.
And under rhoam, hyrule believes it knows all there is to know about the hero and the cycle. It thinks that it can shove the pieces where it wants them, that with the aid of the ancient technology it can force the warnings of history to bend to it's desire. It thinks enough violence will solve the problem entirely. It makes the master sword mimics with the blades facing up.
And it gets it wrong.
The hero reduced to a silent weapon, a shadow of the royal family, the princess helpless and unable to act, unable to access her own power.
It tries to force the issue with manpower and restrictions and piling societal pressure on the children, and hyrule falls.
Immediately, zelda is able to unlock and channel the full extent of her power, she can make a plan and not have it dismissed, she sends link to safety and travels hyrule setting the parts of a constantly moving puzzle into place, she meets ancient spirits and talks with the master sword and seals ganon on her own for the century it takes for link to return.
When he does, rhoam does not order link to save the princess. He does not pile titles and restrictions and pressures on him. He asks him to save his daughter. The hero finally gets to act at his own pace, and he chooses kindness. He chooses to go out of his way to talk to people outside his station, to listen to kids stories and leave strangers a little happier than when they met. He gathers allies loyal out of trust and not forced respect for things he hasn't done yet.
By choosing kindness and not violence (though there is an incredible amount of both), link becomes able to defeat the calamity and save zelda and the kingdom. Zelda is able to guide him and trust him to come. By working together as respected equals, they save the world.
And afterwards, the master sword is returned to her pedestal, triumphant, blade down and wings raised high.

hey!! im the commenter, moonsandlights, on your father of time fic!!! i am adoring every bit of the fic. thank you for writing this!! whos your favorite deity youve included so far??
Hi! I hope you enjoyed the Kafei write-up too, lol
I feel like I could hardly choose a favourite *child* much less choose between all the deities I've created! Aevum was actually the first one I created but she wasn't the first one I introduced. I knew she was going to show up but then Oceanis shoved his way in and went "HI! I WANT TO SAY HELLO! PICK ME PICK ME!" so he got to be the first of the Siblings to make an appearance. Maybe that's why Aevum was so grumpy. Hmmm...
But I love Aevum's big-sister energy and how involved she'd supposedly been in Link's life, despite being almost completely behind the scenes the entire time. And I love Oceanis for his big energy and enthusiasm and his ability to connect so well with Link. And Hebra! Her quiet mourning and then her determination to do what's right once she's been given a job to do. Her quiet power, like a mountain, along with her dry wit and simple enjoyment of being with her family.
And of course, Enma. The petulant teenager of the deity family who refuses to do anything like anybody else, right down to zir pronouns. Ze's the one that's lonely and angry and doesn't want to admit how much ze doesn't like being so separated from everyone else but now that the deities are gathering together more, can finally feel like a part of the ground instead of just being the one who has to be alone in the dark.
I even enjoy the canon deities that I've expanded and gave personality to. Satori, who doesn't live in Hyrule but protects the wild lands wherever he can access. Oshus, who hasn't yet gone through Phantom Hourglass and is still a young deity but is cheerful and enthusiastic and loves working with the others. The Windfish, who is also Marin, who might have fallen in love with a Link but that's in the future and hasn't happened yet. Jabu-Jabu, the guardian deity of the Zora, who is also cheerful like the other water deities. Levias, who takes the form of a loftwing when not in his whale form. The young Deku Tree who is and is not the Great Deku Tree but is continuing the cycle of nature as is intended.
And the Fierce Deity, protector of the Night, who started all this and whom I love so, SO much. Who spoke such strong dad vibes at me that I wrote a whole-ass fanfic about it and now here we are. Every one of the deities I created was based on this idea of what a fierce protector deity in the Legend of Zelda would be. A little bit from the Buddhist idea, more from the looks and behaviors of FD and Hylia in the games and a good helping of what I think the pantheon should be in this AU. I love them. I enjoy writing about them. I enjoy thinking about what they'd look like and how they'd act in various situation.

Ghost Towns: Chapter 11 (Scarred)
Link makes his way to Akkala. After speaking to Robbie, his doubts begin to compound.
[Minor trigger warning for suicidal thoughts at the end of the chapter.]
AO3 Link
After spending time together at the river, Link and Sidon had returned to the Domain so Link could stock up on supplies. Link then took the time to check in with the zora citizens and offered his help wherever possible.
He spent about two days in the Domain before deciding to take off again.
As he and Sidon stood at the entrance to the town, the prince gave him a warm smile.
“Thank you ever so much for visiting again, Link. It means the world to me, as well as to those you have helped.”
Link returned the smile and nodded. ‘It was no trouble. I love coming here.’
“I’m very happy to hear that!” Sidon exclaimed. “Please know that I will always do what I can do make you comfortable here.”
Link scratched the back of his head. ‘Aw, really…you don’t have to go to that much work. Everything is already perfect enough as is.’
“And yet, there is always room for improvement!” Sidon said with a wide grin.
Link just chuckled and shook his head. ‘If you say so.’
Sidon leaned down so he could give Link a hug goodbye. “Take care, my friend. Safe travels.”
Squeezing Sidon’s torso, Link tightened his embrace. These visits felt so short…He really wished he didn’t have to go.
After a minute, Sidon let go, and Link reluctantly followed suit.
Sidon waved goodbye with enthusiasm, with Link returning the gesture in a more subdued manner.
‘Goodbye,’ he signed one last time before turning around and heading down the bridge.
Once he was out of sight of the prince, he let out a heavy sigh. Maybe once Ganon was defeated, he’d have more time to spend with Sidon.
Inhaling deeply, he steeled himself before setting off down the path.
-----
Link’s next destination was Akkala. He was gradually making his way to Goron City, but in the meantime, he wanted to keep searching for shrines and memories if he could.
After a while, he came upon the Spring of Power, and stopped. He’d encountered the Spring of Courage already, where he’d paid his respects to the goddess. He figured he should probably do the same here.
He carefully waded through the shallow water, approaching the statue of Hylia, when he felt a prick of familiarity.
A memory.
Holding his hands together, Link shut his eyes tight, trying to let himself be pulled in the right direction.
Instantly, he was hurled into a moment in time long ago, in this very spot.
He stood at attention near the exit of the spring, his back to Princess Zelda, who was in the midst of prayer. He could hear her mumbling softly, before frustration worked its way into her voice.
She lamented her inability to access her sacred powers, despite her devout dedication. At first, she took her anger out on the goddess, cursing her for not speaking to her. But slowly, her bitterness began to direct inward towards herself. She was barely holding herself together before tears began streaming down her face.
“What’s wrong with me?” she had begged in distress, though no one answered.
Just as he was about to turn to face her, the memory ended in an instant.
Link gasped as he was pulled back to the present.
Slowly, he looked back up to the goddess statue. Zelda saw herself as a failure…just like him.
His hands balled into fists at his sides. Why had Hylia ignored her calls? She was clearly desperate to access her power, and yet the goddess was deaf to her pleas.
Frowning, Link stared at the statue before him.
And yet…Zelda was the only reason Calamity Ganon was currently held at bay. She must have been successful at some point. So what, then, was the key to unlocking her power? Did it just take more prayer, or…did something else trigger it?
Sighing, he began making his way out of the pool. He wasn’t going to find the answers here.
He kept heading north, searching for anything of interest. As he neared the edge of the land mass, he came upon a unique building. There was a windmill donned on its side and a large telescope sitting atop the roof. And to top it off, there was ancient Sheikah tech embedded into the walls.
Curious, he approached the front door. Perhaps whoever owned this place might have insight into how to fight the Calamity.
He knocked on the door, waiting for an answer, but no one came.
After a few minutes of contemplation, he tried the door and found it to be unlocked. Carefully, he stepped inside, looking around to see if he could find anyone.
Standing in the middle of the room was some sort of contraption. It glowed the familiar blue hue of Sheikah technology, and seemed to have what looked like a face. Slowly, he approached it, tilting his head as he inspected it.
“Hey, you! What are you doing here?”
Startled, Link jumped and turned to face the owner of the voice. He came face to face with a short old man, who wore thick goggles and had wild white hair.
“Well? Speak up, then. Who let you in here?”
Link turned sheepish. ‘I’m sorry. I tried knocking but no one answered. It was unlocked so I just…came in.’
“That so?” the man asked, adjusting his goggles. “I suppose I was invested in a project and was too focused to hear a knock on the door…but that still doesn’t explain why you’re here.”
‘Sorry…Um, my name is Link. I saw the Sheikah tech outside and thought you might know something about Calamity Ganon.’
“Eh? You say your name is Link?”
He nodded.
“You can’t be…that Link, can you?”
‘I’m the hylian champion, if that’s what you mean…’
The man squinted and stared at him. “Hm…I’m not sure if I believe you. Show me your scars. That should settle the matter.”
Link looked at him in confusion. He was hesitant to undress, but it seemed like this man knew about his destiny. He could probably trust him.
Gulping, Link quickly took off his shirt and stood with his arms hanging stiffly by his sides.
The man leaned closer to inspect him, grunting quietly as he looked him over.
After a minute or so, he nodded and stepped back. “Those are your scars, all right. Some have faded a bit, but I’d recognize them anywhere.”
Link took that as his cue to put his top back on, which he pulled on anxiously. He wasn’t sure if the man was referring to his surgical scars or his battle ones, but he was grateful that he didn’t specify which.
‘Um…may I ask what your name is?’
“Hm? Did I not say? Sorry…Robbie’s the name. I’m one of the top experts in Sheikah technology!”
‘That’s great to hear! Do you have any advice, then? About taking on Ganon?’
“Hmmm…that’s a tough one. We’ve been trying to figure out a solution for the last hundred years, after all…”
Oh, right…Link should have figured as much.
“However!” Robbie continued, “I believe the project I’ve been working on may be of use to you in your coming battles. Behold!”
He reached into the device that Link had encountered earlier, and with a pair of tongs, pulled out a piece of metal.
“I call these babies ‘ancient arrows!’ Based on my tests, they’re much stronger than your typical arrow. I’ve only managed to craft three so far, but I bet these will come in handy.”
Robbie handed over the arrows and Link gratefully accepted them.
“If you should come across any ancient parts, bring ‘em my way and I can work on crafting more for you if you’d like.”
‘Thank you very much. These should be super useful.’
Robbie nodded in agreement. “Say…have you had a chance to visit Purah by the way? The two of us parted quite a ways back and haven’t seen each other since.”
‘I have…She helped me with the Sheikah Slate a while ago.’
“How’s the old bat faring?”
‘Actually…she looks like a child right now. Some sort of experiment gone wrong, I think?’
“Huh?! Did I hear you right? You said she’s a child?”
Link nodded.
“Well, how bout that? She said she was thinking about anti-aging technology, but who knew it would actually work? Well…not perfectly, obviously, but still.”
Link just stood there awkwardly, unsure how to respond.
“In any case,” Robbie continued, “Why don’t you stay for dinner? You came all this way, after all. Would be a waste not to try Jerrin’s cooking.”
‘Jerrin?’
“My wife!” he said proudly, puffing out his chest. “She makes the best mushroom risotto this side of Hyrule!”
Link’s stomach growled in response and he chuckled. ‘Sounds great. Thank you.’
He’d stay for dinner, but then he really needed to get going. He had a goal to achieve, after all.
-----
After having a meal with Robbie and Jerrin, Link bid them farewell and headed back into the wilderness. He started heading south, back toward the road to Eldin.
As the sky began to darken, Link decided it was time to set up camp for the night. He chose a grouping of trees that seemed safe enough and began pulling out his bedroll and other sleeping gear.
Though he was exhausted, he didn’t fall asleep right away. Too many thoughts were swirling around in his head.
Just who was he? So many people had commented about his life befor. What kind of person was he before he fell into his hundred year slumber? Did the old knight die, or were they one in the same? Was he living up to his destiny, or was he doomed to fail again? If he hadn’t failed, would everyone still be alive?
Would Zelda be safe and sound?
Link pulled his blanket over his head. He tried to shut out the thoughts, but they kept assaulting him.
He whimpered softly as tears began to trickle down his cheeks.
Why did everyone think putting their faith in him was a good idea? Why was he their last hope?
Why…why was he even alive?

Meet The Agents of Rot
I've been working on Blister City, an upcoming far future setting guide for playing survivors on the last city of Mars, for what feels like an eternity now. I want to start sharing some of my favorite factions, npcs, locations, and mechanics from the guide just so I have something to point to if folks want to know more about it as I ever approach finishing the game.
Follow that link up above if you want some basic information on Mars and the setting, because I'm gonna dive right in like you know everything else already.
So first up, lets meet one of my favorite factions, The Agents of Rot.
Who Are the Agents of Rot?
In the simplest form, The Agents are a doomsday cult devoted to the teachings of a long dead and unnamed scholar. They believe the destruction of humanity is already happening, and unstoppable; and they long only prepare everyone for the oncoming end times, without any desire to hasten the coming end.
In 2143, The Agents of Rot first landed in the city of Ambition (which would later become Blister City) after having been chased off earth by The Crusade for their heretical religious beliefs. With them came the first of the Prophet Machines, cobbled together old tech that spits out endless streams of numbers and letters, from which adherents claim the future can be known and prepared for. Upon their arrival to Mars, The Agents had a dire portent, Mars would fall in 2191.
Their portents were ignored, but history would go on too stare back in wonder as their preaching was true. Down to the minute. Ultimate Mars does fall, and today The Agents of Rot occupy a strange space in the city, their heretical beliefs seemingly true, but their message still unpopular for the folks in the last city.
Where Are the Agents of Rot?
In The Mids, the second layer of the three layer Blister City, sits The Smokestack District. In The Lowers, directly under this district the industry of the Blister is booming. Miasma is refined, plasteel is produced, and the toxic smoke of industry pushes up through the levels unstopped by those with the power to demand better.
It is in the worst of this toxic runoff we find The Smokestack District, and herein find some of the worst of the city. The folks who call The Smokestacks home are a combination of those with the expensive lung bionics that make breathing here safe, trading a lifetime of debt for an opportunity to live in an apartment they can afford; and those chased out by the rest of the city, largely unmodified and suffering short lives as the air toxicity kills slowly but painfully and surely.
In The Smokestack District you can find The Rot Chapel, one of few wooden buildings in the city, although the building itself is dilapidated, rotting, and covered in soot. A walk through the church shows mildewed religious statues, sitting undisturbed next to rack after rack of advanced computers; each beeping away at impossible maths. Cries echo out across the church as more prophets discover portents of the future in the hodgepodge of numbers lighting up across screens.
The Agents of Rot in Play
In Blister City, you can find yourself working alongside or against any number of factions in the city, each with a list of pros and cons for helping or harming them. While the factions usually only provide these boons and banes during missions for or against them, The Agents of Rot instead always provide boons and banes for players.
If You Make an Ally of The Agents
+1: The Agents consider you a fledgling acolyte of their faith. Rot Shops are open to you, as are their churches for those looking to lay low.
+2: The Agents consider you a true believer. You gain a discount in Rot Shops, and gain access to their medical centers.
+3: The Agents have begun to see prophecies of you. Once ever you can go to them, and have them tell you a terrible but true fact about events yet to happen.
If You Make an Enemy of The Agents
-1: The Agents of Rot are scared of you and your crew. You are actively turned away from Rot Churches and Rot Shops, violently if necessary.
-2: The Agents consider you persona non grata, and take to the streets preaching of the dangers of being near you, and your allies.
-3: The Agents have begun to see prophecies of you, and it terrifies them. The Agents pool all of their resources, and will hire whoever it takes to kill you, and challenge the hands of fate.
Final Thoughts
The Agents of Rot are but one of 25 named factions, and have (like all the factions do) complicated ties to the city and the other factions. They frequently find themselves allied with The Children of The Red Sands, other religious outsiders to the city; and working against The Rusakli, a quiet order of well liked healers who The Prophet Machines keep spitting out warnings against.

I’m really curious as to how Zedaph’s social link would work, so I’d love to hear your ideas!!
Zedaph is making a face and kicking rocks by the side of the lake when Impulse finds him. Impulse grimaces. Well, that's not a particularly good sign for how well his experiments had gone. Carefully, Impulse lets his eyes slide over to the trees, where a glowing blue door sits.
...he already has Kikuri-Hime. He's prepared to deal with this. If Zedaph once again asks him to do odd things with his persona, he can handle it.
"So, how did -"
"It doesn't make any sense!" Zedaph says, throwing up his hands. "I'm so close to understanding it, Impulse! I'm so close."
Ah. Today is a smile and nod sort of day. Impulse smiles and nods. "You're honestly even better at most of this Negative World stuff than any of us," he says.
"Yeah, I guess, but it isn't good enough," Zedaph says. He kicks another rock. It bounces off the edge of the lake into the water. "It's the most interesting thing to happen to me in... in years, Impulse. And I can't even understand it well enough to do anything interesting with it at all!"
They've had exactly this conversation... what rank are they on... six times, probably, in different flavors. He almost wants to say: every time we talk about how you've hit a wall in researching the Negative World, I come here, you get a new lead from me, and you stop being so upset about it. But that's just a bit mean, is the thing, and there's something different about this time.
"Have you considered you don't need to understand?" Impulse says instead.
"I do," Zedaph says.
"I don't know, man. I think there are more important things than 'how exactly the Negative World works'," Impulse tries. "I mean, it's important we understand like, how the sleeping sickness works, I guess, but -"
"I have access to a magical world and I can't even do anything weird with it," Zedaph says.
Impulse sits down by the lake. Zedaph sits down next to him.
"I mean, the thing you tried to do with fusion," Impulse starts.
"I still think you were lying about fusing personas, by the way," Zedaph says.
"I wasn't! Swear I wasn't!"
"And your magical blue train station," Zedaph continues.
"If I could show it to you I would!"
"If a weird blue man you made up with a long nose can do it, I absolutely should be able to do it as well," Zedaph concludes.
"I mean, we can try again, but last time I passed out for an hour and you made Skizz cry," Impulse says.
"I'll come up with a technique eventually. Then we can fuse our power together like Voltron."
"Oh yeah. Like Voltron," agrees Impulse.
They're both quiet for a bit.
"I hate that I don't know how it works," says Zedaph. "I should know by now. I've been trying for months. I know it's magic. I know it's supposed to just all be intuitive. And when it's intuitive, it's great. It's like... all the mysteries of the world are right there, and I never have to watch my best friend die again."
Oh.
Well. That... that would be what this is about, wouldn't it.
"You didn't have to," Impulse says slowly.
"Tango knows Recarm," Zedaph says, pulling his knees to his chest. It's sort of an agreement. It mostly isn't.
"I came here to help you with an experiment. It was our deal," Impulse says. "If you have any ideas -"
"No, it's fine," Zedaph says.
"Maybe instead of the fusion thing - even if you can't get extra personas like me, we still haven't tried out seeing what happens if you negotiate with shadows yourself. And hey, that's gotta go better than you poisoning us all by trying to make magic food."
"That wasn't a poisoning," Zedaph says, sniffing. "That was a clinical trial, and you know it."
"Sure," Impulse says. "Whatever you say, man." He stands up. "You wanna go to the hospital to try to talk to shadows, or..."
"No, I think for now I'll stay here," Zedaph says. "Besides, I also wanted to test - could we use the twisted shadows to store items we can't carry in our bags? That could be very useful."
Impulse opens his mouth. He wants to say: you know you don't have to be useful, right? You know we're scared too, right? I always have a persona on me with Recarm too, you know? It's okay if this is less for science and more for other reasons.
Then Impulse thinks about the fact he made sure to bring Kikuri-Hime along to talk with his friend, and decides that perhaps he can't talk.
"Alright, man. Well, you know how our deal works. Anytime you need me to test something out..."
"Yeah. Catch you later, Impulse."
"...you too, Zedaph."

Hello, it's AMA with heartofspells! Tell me about a universe where Sirius survives OOTP. How do the rest of the books unfold with Sirius alive? (And beyond, if you want!)
Hmm, is that what this is? Yeah, okay. AMA with Holli, everyone! Come one, come all! Except I'm not that interesting.
BUT then here's Imp, starting things off with a bang and making me use my brain. That's a bit evil and I love it.
Let's just pick up after the DoM battle, shall we? Sirius survives (duh, no other universe exists), he's cleared of all charges after a bit of struggle, but he was there fighting against those he was suspected of aiding, so there's not much denial at play. No Order of Merlin, though, because the Ministry are salty bastards and he's still alive. They don't care.
Skip ahead to right before the summer. Free and clear, Sirius leaves Grimmauld Place (good riddance, too many bad memories now, as though there weren't before) and he returns to Remus' little cottage surrounded by woods, fresh air, loads of room to roam and run. They set up a room for Harry, and then Sirius begins his battle with Dumbledore, the one he never got to truly have all those years ago. Harry is his, belongs with Sirius, a right bestowed onto him by his best friends. Legally, there's nothing Dumbledore can do. The only power he has at play is the blood protection, but Sirius only scoffs at that. Harry's coming home.
He spends one day, only one, with the Dursleys, Padfoot present the entire time. And of course Sirius doesn't have to be the dog, but it's more fun that way, though he does take his chance when Vernon becomes particularly enraged over something to shift back to himself, very intimidating, causing the man to choke on his own tongue.
Now, clever as Sirius is, as well as Remus, they connect a few dots based on what they've learned about Harry being linked with Voldemort. Dumbledore is keeping secrets, he always has, so as the summer progresses, Sirius and Remus work around him, do their own research about what could link a two people together, wand reactions, really looking into that night in Godric's Hallow and what happened to destroy Voldemort as he once was. And Sirius, with access to centuries of Black family tomes filled with the darkest of things, figures it out, consults a few others, somewhat experts, before setting to work.
While Harry is at school, constantly in contact with his two loving and attentive parents, attending to studies and finally, hopefully, feeling like the teenager he's meant to be, Sirius and Remus begin hunting down the Horcruxes themselves. They use their own contacts for the research they need, track down those that had interacted with Riddle and survived, learn whatever secrets he hadn't managed to bury. They find them all, every last one, gaining the ring before Dumbledore can, no curse there to set Draco's path into motion, squashing it before it starts. No reason for Dumbledore to act out of panic and begin showing Harry the memories relating to the Horcruxes. They take them back to their home, ward a clearing in the woods until it's safe, destroy them with Fiendfyre, Sirius understanding just how volatile it can be, how carefully it must be cast, how clear a person's head should be before doing so. And he does it all for Harry. For Harry and for Lily and for James.
It takes a long time, just the two of them working at it, fear clawing at them if the wrong person finds out, relays it back to Dumbledore. But they're not finished yet, the worst still to come. It's nearly the end of Harry's seventh year, NEWTs fast approaching, Harry exactly where he belongs, not traipsing all over the country, living rough, but warm in his bed every night. They've still been looking into that night when everything finally fell apart beneath their feet, sorting out the pieces, puzzling them together until they finally form the answer.
Harry is a Horcrux.
Now look, I could go into a lot of detail here and try to fix all the issues that are RIFE in canon, but I will not. Harry's a Horcrux, but they can't kill him, Sirius would never, wouldn't even risk it. So they corner Voldemort, blast him with the Killing Curse, trap his maimed soul, bury him in a cement block at the bottom of the North Sea (near where Sirius had spent SO MANY wasted years) and live happily ever after.
Harry lives his life, does as he pleases, roams a bit without a master, free to do as he wishes with his best godfather in full support of his choices. Remus gets to live a comfortable life with Sirius, working as he pleases, surrounding himself with books and whatever else he likes, and Sirius goes into training to be a Healer. He and Remus have an entire litter of babies with their big brother Harry always around to spoil them senseless until he's got his own kids to be rightfully spoiled by their grandfathers Moony and Padfoot (Moony always has chocolate in his pocket, but shhhh don't tell Harry)(he knows). They all grow old and lazy and Sirius finds that he really enjoys comfortable slippers with rabbit ears very much.

Darkness Reborn ~ Origins of the Ink Demon Final Chapter PT. 13
Lain Iwakura : [humming while working on the machine]
[Phone ringing]
Lain Iwakura : [answer phone] Hello?
Duo Maxwell (via phone) : Hey, Lain. Can you hear me now? We're finally back in business!
[IDOLA Battle - Kenichi Tokoi]
Lain Iwakura : Duo! Thank goodness you're all right! I thought that you were destroyed in that explosion.
Duo Maxwell (via phone) : Sorry there, I had something to cut loose, maybe this isn't just your luck to beat up all those heartlesses once. Anyway, I finally got my wish for what you've given, my reunion of the Gundam Wing cast has arrived and we're kicking some heartless ass!
Lain Iwakura : That's wonderful, Duo! Good job on surviving the attack! Once tokyo is saved from those monsters, we can finally put an end to everything once it's settled! The other Gundam pilots are in alliance with you guys, make sure to stay safe in the battlefield I'll use my LAN link to gain access with the Kingdom Hearts data that Ansem the Wise left after his sacrifice! That'll buy us some time to get rid of those nasty heartlesses, once and for all! So will you come home for dinner tonight? I'm going to preparing a feast for your reunion.
Duo Maxwell : Right after the reunion of the guys.
Lain Iwakura : Okay then, darling. Stay strong! I know you can do this! [starts typing on the computer] If could use the Kingdom Hearts Data that Ansem the Wise gathered, I could use the power of light as weapon to get rid of the heartless. It'll be a piece of cake! I know that had my heart connecting to Duo's data and the Deathscythe data as well. I'm not the only one who is connected, we are more than one to connect the hearts is what data can do, but what data can't do. We are simple, we are always together...We are always connected! [hits enter button]
Duo Maxwell (via phone) : That's my girl!
Heero : So that's your lover's line? I can't believe that she said the whole thing!
Duo Maxwell : You said it, man!
Lain Iwakura (via phone) : Maxwell! I finally figured it out where the Heartlesses coming from, it's the same as the Shadow Realm. This code is in three letters, "D.T.D".
Duo Maxwell : D.T.D...I wonder if that's the abbreviation for some to be called...
Lain Iwakura (via phone) : It's called the Door to Darkness, it was Discovered by a cartoon mouse and he was the first one to enter it, but during the fight with the Seeker of Darkness, Ansem tried to regain the power of Darkness by granting his will from Kingdom Hearts, but then Mickey used the power of light to destroy the Seeker of Darkness, which turns out to be a Heartless.
Duo Maxwell : So that creep Xehanort is behind this little diversion of his! The Door to Darkness. It's that object that Ansem was talking about.
Lain Iwakura : Heh. So now were finally getting it! Shadow Realm might be equivalent to the Realm of Darkness, that's why the DWMA is getting the Heartless' attention to put an end to the Kusakabe Legacy, I guess those fools got what they deserve for lying to the whole world! This should really uncover the secrets of Soul Eater's whereabouts.
Duo Maxwell :Good, that's the kind that the world of Soul Eater would be exposed as a fake! All that insanity, all that Chaos, it was the heartless's doing! No it's Demon Vibe's that he wanted to rule over the Real World in Darkness! That's his responsibility to make the villains crave all of that death and destruction!
Heero : Enemy's laying down, we got them out of the park!
Trowa : Now let's see what happens when they mess with the real world! How the mighty world of Soul Eater has fallen!
Quatre : Not so tough for these guys, huh? Robots are way better than the demon weapons that are nothing but a pile of bones! Let's show them our Gundam spirit!
Wufei : It's now or never!
Heero : Communicate with heart and friendship!
Duo Maxwell : I'm gonna make the world to spread truth to Soul Eater's lies! And no one is going to get to the bottom of this mystery! Only us is going to expose them with truth!
Lain Iwakura : That's the spirit, Duo!
*Computer beep*
Lain Iwakura : Alright! The Kingdom Hearts data is completed! Now to put an end to this once and for all! Time for you Darksides eradicated with Kingdom Hearts' light! [types in keyboard] Finally! I've bee waiting for this moment to shine on! Once I hit the enter button we can finally manage to save Tokyo. How about it? It's what we think of the question.
Xigbar : I think you got the question there, little lady. Children aren't allow to be on computers without asking their parents for permission. But how about I give that permission slip to slide you in.
Lain Iwakura : Hey, I only authorized this thing and I have authority to technology and this is the opportunity that I needed for Duo to see this! Hmm? Hey, who are you? What are you're doing? H-Help! Duo! An intruder has came to this place and we have been breached! There's someone in the facility and I believe that I have been abducted by--[muffled and passes out]
Xigbar : Sleep tight, computer girl. Don't let the bed bugs bite.
"Meanwhile..."
Azusa Yumi : [exiting the aquatic center] I just don't get it! Why does it think it's so hard to understand the meaning of being hero, human or not? I just didn't get the fact that Dr.Stein is dead! Who's going to look after Oceania after I'm dead beat, and now the DWMA is finished and were through of it! (groans) I can't believe that I am forever stuck of going to be a business woman in Tokyo!
Marie Mjolnir : You think so? I guess without the DWMA, who's going to protect public order without us, weapons? and more importantly, where did you think that heartlesses would might come and attack us? Yeah, I do believe that I was able to bring our kind to it to think that the witches were the evils ones. Pffft! Guess we were wrong for that all along, the classification for Deathscythe was supposed to make us the elites, and I just realized that we've been used for influence on global religion and monopolize political power. Why didn't we think of that before!? 13 years ago, I had that break up with Dr. Stein because I didn't realize that he was actually a communist from soviet russia.
Azusa Yumi : The Nerves of some people. Anyways, I'll see you in a bit after we get the new girls for skinny dipping practice. [double presses button to unlock the car] *car beeping*
*DBZ SFX : LOUD EXPLOSION*
Azusa & Marie : WAAAAAH!!!
Azusa Yumi : What the F!? My car got blown up! Or was it something!? Who put's an explosive device that triggers the car's explosion!?
Marie Mjolnir : There's no way that something might happen to us! That's their reason to mess with us!
Azusa Yumi : Wait. Someone's coming out of the flames.
[the Thompson Sisters appears coming through the flames]
Azusa Yumi : You dirty motherf*ckers! What did you do this time!?
Marie Mjolnir : Wait, those horns and those tails...Those demon tails behind their backs!
Azusa Yumi : What!?
[Binary Domain Ost : Tsar Runner]
Marie Mjolnir : Azusa. Get back.
Azusa Yumi : Hmm? Why?
Marie Mjolnir : Those are not the Thompson sisters.
Thompson Sisters : [laughs evilly]
[Thompson sisters transforms into their true forms as Ink Demons]
Azusa Yumi : Okay, I understand that I take that back of what I said to them.
Marie Mjolnir : I knew that had to be the Ink Demons, the Inky People! there the ones responsible for the death of Dr. Stein! It's time that we need to fight back to these Soul Eater wannabes!
Azusa Yumi : We can't! Without the DWMA, the Demon Weapon power system has ceased to exist and we don't have the ability as weapons or death scythes! I've should've known the witches were that stupid to realize that using bones of another being would be really misguided to their personal cover ups.
Marie Mjolnir : No we're not! We don't have to become the weaapons, we have the ability to summon our own weapons, by using the power of Alchemy! [uses Alchemy to create a hammer] Good thing that this baby comes in handy!! Hey, Azusa! This what the Demon Weapon Secret ingredient was used, Alchemy has the power to create weapons and it sounds very creative if we use with our hands, We can borrow the Fullmetal Alchemist's power system to create our own weapons!
Azusa Yumi : That's sounds not a half bad idea! If we use Alchemy to create our weapons, we should stop these demons for real and that's exactly what Edward planned from the beginning. Promise that this is a very gift from Truth and there is a single pay that State Alchemists really wants!
Marie Mjolnir : Yeah! That's the ticket! Show them your spirit, Azusa! Show them what State Alchemists are really capable!
Azusa Yumi : Alrighty then! I'll give it a try! Here goes nothing! [uses Alchemy to create a crossbow gun] He-Hey! Not too shabby! I always wanted to do that! Looks like Alchemy still works and that's exactly what the author of FMA had to offer. Turns out the witches had been stealing Alchemy from the Dokeshi Shotaro the entire time and nobody noticed it. That's the taboo that they'll ever forget! Now then, You thinking what I'm thinking, Marie?
Marie Mjolnir : Yes, I am, Azusa. I've always wanted to be the hero of my own world. Now then let's go pay these demons a visit to hell! Come at me, demons! I won't hold anything back for you!
Azusa Yumi : I'll give you all something that I have, a lesson of kicking demon ass! You'll be out of the ballpark for real!

Alright! Lupus’s adventure! :D this’ll be long so just a heads up lol
So! Zelda hears rumors of someone stirring up trouble and tells Lupus, and they go to investigate together
They discover none other than Yuga! Turns out he found a way to hyrule, revived Ganondorf, and they agreed to work together and backstab each other once they have what they want
So yuga is looking for triforce of courage and wisdom in Hyrule, and Ganondorf is looking for the loforce of Vigilance and Zeal (loforce counterpart names credit to Telemna Hyelle)
Lupus and Zelda fight him, and while they do defeat him, he manages to capture Zelda before saying some taunt about ‘dont even try to look for her, you cant get to Lorule anyways’ then disappears
So naturally Lupus finds a way to Lorule
Turns out there’s a portal in his basement! He’s living in his childhood hime in hyrule castletown, hence how he never knew about it lol.
Upon his arrival in Lorule he turns into a wolf to try and sniff out Zelda’s location and comes across a white wolf
Who immediately freaks out and yells ‘ahh!! Shadow monster wolf!!’
Lupus is Not Amused. ‘Have you never seen a black wolf before?’ 🤨
And thus begins the meeting of Link, a descent of albw Ravio living in Hyrule, and Ravio, a descendant or albw Link living in Lorule. Ravio’s nickname will be Lykos, after the greek word for Wolf
Anyways, they sense the familiar magic and figure out the other is actually Not A Wolf and both transform back and begin arguing
Upon discovering that their princesses are both captured and somewhere in Lorule they reluctantly agree to work together. They search for Zelda first, because Lupus won the rock paper scissors match
Meanwhile, the girls had been imprisoned on opposite sides of the same dungeon
Yuga: we can go after the girls first. Ill keep zelda here while i find link, if i cant get both at once
Ganondorf: where am i supposed to keep hilda?
Yuga: fine. You can have this half of the dungeon, and i get this half. To ensure fairness, we cannot access the other’s half unless we both agree on it (promise is legit, to make the planned backstab more ‘surprising’)
Anyways they escape, meet up in the middle, and leave a note for Lupus and Lykos at the entrance saying they’re okay and going to go back to hyrule to search for dungeons and powerful items to defeat yuga and ganondorf. They also instruct the boys to ‘play nice’ and search Lorule for the same thing (to get to Hyrule they use the portal Hilda knows is in Ravio’s attic)
The boys are relieved upon finding the note, but not very happy about still having to work together.
Upon both finishing their adventures, they meet up in Link’s basement and together the four now close friends (girls always got along well lol) defeat Yuga and Ganondorf once and for all!

Grace - qpr botw zelink fic
ao3 link: here
Negotiations… haven’t gone well. Zelda knew they most likely wouldn’t - it has been an awful long time since Hyrule has needed their princess to be, well, a princess. They hardly take well to the idea of her being their Queen.
She had thought about it, in her hundred year battle. Contemplated the changes that were happening outside her purview - all the while she was left suspended, fighting but not growing, not learning. Keeping steady as the same piece of power in the land, keeping the same evil at bay.
While she can understand the world has moved on without her, she has hardly an idea on how to move on from herself, too.
So, she had tried to go back. To take that dutiful, refined, leader of wisdom her father had always wanted her to be, and tried to push the misshapen, spiky thing she feels she has become into that mould. It hasn't worked, and she knows everyone can tell.
Her and Link leave the Zora throne room - Prince Sidon’s small wave accompanying his sympathetic smile weaving shame into her stomach - and silently walk towards the steps that lead down to the Princess Mipha statue. Link grabs her hand as they leave the company of the Zora royals, and he doesn’t let go when they descend the steps. He doesn't let go as he bows to the statue of Princess Mipha, nor when they curve further down still to the shrine in the centre of the domain.
The shrines have become a sort of respite for them - not too cold as to dismiss them as unsuitable for taking nights within them, their exclusive access giving them safety and privacy - and she has taken great pleasure in having Link explain their puzzles besides. They ride the elevator down, and she tries to remember which puzzle in particular this one is.
The gently rushing water answers the question rather swiftly, an inclined waterfall coming into view as they reach the bottom. The balls that fall from the top have long since stopped rolling, no loud thumping from their weight interrupting the stream. Ne’ez Yohma shrine. The original puzzle is to get the correct ball to the allotted keyhole, thus granting access to the shrine keeper.
Link begins setting up camp in a recess in the wall immediately. They have a routine about these things these days: they will retreat to a shrine at the end of the day. Zelda will ask (the same few) questions about the shrine - what did you do to solve the puzzle? Was it difficult? Does the void below seriously just throw you back up onto the ledge if you fall off? - while Link makes them food. Once they’ve eaten, they will allow each other to sit and ponder what the day brought them. Sometimes this leaves them sleeping without discussing a single occurrence of the day. Sometimes, it ends with one of them sobbing into the other’s shoulder, or giggling way past the hour they should be sleeping by.
Over their just over a year together, they've slowly gotten better at communicating with one another. Link doesn’t remember much about their time pre-calamity, and if for only the selfish reason that he doesn't remember how much of a brat she became while stressed, she is glad. When she thought of him in those one hundred years, she often thought of how she'd apologise to him. How she hoped they could maybe repair their relationship, perhaps even become friends. She thinks she might have accomplished that goal, in the time they spent working on understanding their next steps as a duo.
(She doesn't know if the frequency they share bedrolls and hold hands is what constitutes a simple friendship, but when she begins overthinking it, she realises she likes the freedom of it. Not everything in her life needs a clinical definition and scientific analysis.)
They’re better at noticing when the other is upset, at the least. And after a hearty soup, Link does just that.
“I don’t think that went too well.”
Zelda snorts. He’s always so blunt!
“No, I don’t think it did.”
“Do you wanna talk about it?” He glances over at her, sitting opposite her across the fire pit he had created to heat up the food. His knee jumps up and down, and she knows him well enough to know it isn’t nerves, but simply his body's inability to be still.
“I… I do not know if this is what I should be doing.”
Link hums. Gives her some space to gather her thoughts, to which she feels warm her heart.
“It seems as though nobody… needs me anymore? I thought when I came out of the battle, everything would be chaos. And that it was my responsibility to fix it. I was the one that messed it up in the first place–” “You weren’t, but continue.”
“Right. I suppose, this meeting, it made me realise that if even the Zora, old as they are, are not willing to see me as the role I had before, then who will? And… if the answer is no-one?”
“Do you have to be in the role you were in before?” The question catches her off guard, and she’s about to jump into a very pre-calamity verbiage of hers - that of course I have to fit a role, it is quite literally what I was born for! - when she takes Link in once more. He’s still fidgeting, looking to the side of him over at the dias where the shrine keeper once sat. Looking at his role. What she just implied hits her like a tonne of bricks.
“Oh, I didn’t mean to say anything about you and the role you were forced into by the sword–”
He turns back to face her immediately. “Huh? Oh, no, I’m not upset or anything, I didn't take it like that. It was just a question for you. Do you feel like you still have to be a princess?”
“I don’t know who else I could be.” She takes a moment. “I suppose that is my problem. How does one figure out what their new role is?”
“Do you need a new role? Can you not just… be a person who lives in the world?”
“Well, yes, I suppose, but everyone has a role - oh, allow me to reword it: I don’t feel as though I have a purpose, a goal to achieve. If I’m not working towards being a good princess, then what should I work towards?”
Link frowns, furrowing his brow and sticking his tongue out slightly as he thinks. It’s cute.
“Okay so, I’m kinda… just Link, right now? I don’t think I have all that much purpose. It doesn’t have to be some grand thing, I don’t think. Your purpose can just be to get through the day, if that's what it takes.”
Just get through the day… it’s simple, but Zelda realises that was what many of her days were like, during the battle. To get to the next sunrise. To survive. She was no grand princess, no goddess. She was just making it. And it worked.
Perhaps she can find her purpose in trying that again, first. Just making it for a while.
Link speaks again, and it fills her chest with a warmth he so often puts there - one she still doesn't know what to do with.
“My purpose is to care for you.”
Link has always had this ability to rock her world with the simple, sure statements he makes. He’s straight to the point, not afraid to say what he thinks is to be said - for someone so used to swimming through etiquette and implications, she finds his candid approach to emotions and relationships very refreshing. She wonders if he always wanted to say his opinions aloud, and it was only his reshaping of himself away from his burdens and memories that allowed it - or if it had come from his lessons learned from others on his travels.
Nevertheless, a small seed of doubt seeps some of the warmth away from her.
“Why? What about caring for me gives you purpose?”
“Because it’s something I chose to do, I think. I wanted to, so I did. Try something out and see if it feels good, I guess is my advice.”
Choice is a rather new factor in her life.
“I’ll… think about that. Thank you.”
They end up leaving the conversation there, tidying up the meal in quiet comfort, and shortly after, setting up their bedrolls next to each other near the wall of the shrine. Link does not object to her wishes to curl up against him, nor does Zelda complain when he begins snoring rather loudly, laid on his back as he is when he slumbers. She is much too deep in thought to be bothered by it, besides.
She wonders if Link feels cared for by her. If she could work towards not helping all of Hyrule, not fitting herself into a role she no longer fits, but simply fitting herself alongside Link a little more purposefully.
She thinks it will feel good.

???
Not sure now, but I remember Lucilius asking Lucifer for opinion on Four Primarchs and that he accepted Lucifer proposition on giving each primarch a distinctive personality
Also to get access to lab, Bubs needed to get pass not only from Lucilius, but also Lucifer
So, they seem rather to be both working on primarchs, together and Sandalphon was Lucifer's only personal project
Also Lucifer had different opinion on purpose of creating a sentient life (I don't think Sierokarte would get his approval with her reason to create Cendrillon)
So technically, I think, Lucilius was the one making projects, where Lucifer was giving his opinions and ideas, which then Lucilius was realizing, since well, most of the later primarchs were created to serve Lucifer
And yes, if Lu Woh wants to fight Baha, he should get Lucifer for help, since he already has an experience and was able to keep up with Bahamut
Lucifer: I am here for my unimaginable sins *sips coffee*
Lu Woh: *opens door with a kick* QUICK, WORLD IS GOING APESHIT AND WE NEED TO KILL BAHAMUT, TAKE HIS POWER AND KEEP THIS WORLD ALIVE
Lucifer: No idea who the fuck are you, but I don't see reason to refuse
Lu Woh: Good *drags Lucifer outside, who just calmly ends his coffee*
Tumblr media
oooh okay i see where i was confused, i remembered Lucifer created Sandalphon on Lucilius's blueprint and everything and i thought it applied to everyone.
I went on to do a little more research to be sure and yeah you're right Lucilius created the rest. I found this chart apparently:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's an oldie so some infos are outdated but here it does once translated:
Tumblr media
(the... the fact Zooey was already included in discussion around the angels though.... Guess it does mean it's been planed for a while that at least her existence had a link to them...)
so yeah you're totally right especially on the second ask, he basically used Lucifer as a buddy to help him make the primals but he mostly did them himself. Makes sense!
BUT HEELLP the reasoning for why Lu Woh should reach out for Lucifer is fantastic. I want to believe in it now.
let's go, team "Let's fucking take down Bahamut", assemble!
