Sebastian casually trauma dumping on his S/O, without realizing that's what he's doing, and being surprised when they're concerned about him

like he just mentions something his mother did to him (telling him he was too weak to hunt, keeping his hair long so she could PULL it to control him, never telling him his father was still alive or that he had siblings, being all around INCREDIBLY cruel to her child, take your pick)

and he says it in this way of "sigh, Melinda is such a nuisance" instead of acting like it was what it was, which was abuse

he doesn't realize how horrific his childhood was until suddenly his S/O starts crying and hugging him and telling him they're so sorry, she wasn't right to do that, does he need anything from them??

he views what Melinda did as NORMAL. that's how it is for demons. isn't it? hell is hell for a reason; it's not good. but a demon's normal is a human's worst nightmare.

it's sad if his S/O doesn't know he's a demon, because he wants so badly to tell them that what he went through was normal for a demon. but he has to keep quiet and pretend he's human, and he just... doesn't know what to say in response. except to hold them and say "thank you" and then just think about how deeply his mother scarred him and whether or not it actually was normal

but it's even worse if his S/O does know he's a demon. they know what he is. they know he's a monster. they're very sweet to him, but they have no delusions about his true nature. so why is it something that concerns them, to hear that demons have acted like demons? why do they think he somehow deserved anything else? deserved the same things as a human? he's not a human. he doesn't deserve human things, he deserves demon things, and demon things are BAD. it's just a fact.

... but they're so concerned about him. has he been mistaken? everything that his mother did to him, was it really not acceptable? he's been convinced it was normal for demons, but even if it is, does that automatically make it okay? the person he loves doesn't think so. they think he's been terribly hurt, and it's even worse because he doesn't quite realize it until they react in the way a person SHOULD react when they're told their loved one was abused.

it's even worse than if his S/O doesn't know he's a demon, because if his S/O does know, he can't even really say thank you. he can't get a word out. all he can do is be held, and cry silently.

and he's not really crying because he's realizing the effect Melinda's abuse had on him. there's a little of that, sure. but the main reason he's crying?

because his S/O, the person he loves more than anyone or anything in the world, is crying for him.

he doesn't want to hurt them, or make them sad.

and, he hasn't done that, really.

they're crying and hurt because of something that hurt him. and they know it hurt him, and they love him so much, they're angry and sad because he was hurt.

he can't believe that someone could love him so selflessly, that they're crying over his scars simply because it means he was hurt. moreover, because that pain was something they think he didn't deserve.

he doesn't know how to react, or how to feel... except that their love feels like a bandage wrapped around all his old wounds. to keep him safe, because they don't want anyone to ever, EVER hurt him again.

he thinks he doesn't deserve that kind of love. but he wants it anyway.

Pac: It was really cool to see Baghera too, man. Baghera and Fit, it was really cool. Then Tubbo, I only met him in spirit, but Baghera was great to see, man.

Pac: Baghera and Fit– ah, it's always great to see the QSMP people. I consider everyone from QSMP as if they were family, you know? They are great friends that I made during one very cool stage in my life, and I will take them with me like this forever. It's the kind of friendship where you pick up exactly where you left off, you know? I see them, we exchange ideas, we talk, it's super cool, we say goodbye, and if we see each other again, it seems like we come back exactly where we left off, you know? It's really cool– because like, even if we spend a long time without talking, we still have that affinity, that friendship and affection for each other, you know? And that is something I can say about all of the QSMP members, it’s just that I specifically met these two this time. But anyone from QSMP I have that same affection for, you know? It's really cool, man, really cool.

what gets me the most about the ungodly levels of five’s character assassination in s4 is how it affected his ending. he died feeling alone, useless, unloved, and believing that he failed his family. the family that he spent 45 years trying to get back to. the family that he spent 3 weeks straight fighting for. he took a bullet for them, killed for them, did everything in his power for THEM. he cared about them more than anything. his siblings have ALWAYS been his motivation. but apparently the writers just forgot all of that and decided to give him a creepyass out-of-character homewrecker romance that absolutely nobody wanted and then left him in a place that basically said everything he did was for nothing.

Tired: Rise!Splinter is a neglectful and awful father who doesn’t care about his kids >:(

Wired: Rise!Splinter’s negligence comes from a place of deep trauma that he’s carried with him his whole life – losing his mother, having been betrayed by the love of is life, being imprisoned and forced to fight for his life, used as an experiment and subsequently being mutated and losing his whole identity as a person – and while it certainly doesn’t excuse his behavior, there is no doubt that this man loves his sons fiercely despite his own shortcomings and perhaps it is exactly that love and care that causes him to keep his children at arms length in hopes to spare them his family’s cursed legacy that grooms them into martyrs and are thus destined to die young, a sacrifice for the greater good that Splinter is never willing to make even if it means forfeiting the world to the Shredder. Splinter’s journey of fatherhood began by being completely unprepared as a fresh young single father of four young children that depend on him to survive and there is no surprise he’s hit almost every bump there possibly is when raising a child but never in his life has Splinter ever blamed or resented his children in any way – he is not perfect and he’s aware and he tries to do better all because he loves his kids this fucking much bc despite all the shit he’s been through, those kids made him realize that he can try again. to dismiss him as an awful father is a gross mischaracterization of a deeply traumatized man of color who evidently tried his fucking hardest not to pass on the hurt onto his own children while grappling with his own demons and the crushing destiny of his family’s blood line that took away his mother.

Obsessed with the way Evadne's relationship with Apollo is described. Obsessed with the way Apollo was especially gentle with her because she was sheltered, hidden away and hadn't had any sort of experience with love prior to Apollo (and due to it being described as her 'first learning Aphrodite's joy' through Apollo', it was probably her first time even being attracted to someone). Obsessed with the way when she runs away, she stops in a violet patch to give birth. Y'know, violets, very famously the flower so strongly associated with Aphrodite that they were used in love potions? Those violets. Obsessed with the way that when Apollo realised his lover was going to have to deliver their child alone, he sent BOTH the goddess of childbirth and ALL THREE OF THE FATES to help and support her. Obsessed with the way that Apollo sends snakes to feed his baby honey straight from their fangs because Evadne abandons their son out of straight primal fear when her stepfather finds her and how the description of that honey is 'sweet venom' [ἰός] of the bees and is DEFINITELY a poetic pair/pun with [ἴον] aka violets and that every single thing about this relationship, conception and birth is a complete and utter fairytale down to Evadne's insanely overprotective stepfather having an immediate change of heart when he learned Evadne's child was an actual, legitimate Son of Apollo and the babe, after being cared for by his dad's honey-fanged snake buddies, was found perfectly healthy five days later swaddled in a blanket of violets (y'know the flowers so strongly associated with Aphrodite that they were used for lo-) and they called him Iamus aka Boy of the Violets which is AAAAAARRRR I AM GNAWING AT MY ENCLOSURE

Iamus was made of love. Everything about him was surrounded by deep and profound love and like, let's not even talk about his whole Thing of when he came of age and was like "I need to find out what my purpose is" and he literally had a Disney Protagonist moment where he ran out into the wilds and was like "Father!! Grandfather!! Tell me what I'm supposed to doooo!!" and then APOLLO FUCKING ANSWERED AND LED HIM TO ONE HIS TEMPLES ENTIRELY BY TALKING WITH IAMUS AND LETTING HIM FOLLOW HIS VOICE FOR THE WHOLE JOURNEY LIKE -

I also just love how the mount rageons look, so meet Murphey! He was a body guard while living on Mount Rageous but left after messing up on a job. He began traveling and came across a young solo artist who got himself into a heap of trouble by just being a lil troll.
