Been playing a platformer called Symphonia and its good but I keep swinging between "this game is pretty easy" and "1846 deaths" the last time I checked the counter

i have decided to randomly infodump about my lab rats as a way to motivate myself to: 1) revamp existing characters old refs and 2) DRAW THE GD REFERENCES OF THE REST OF THE BITCHES (this will probably take me ages still. alas), more rambly details abt the story and characters under the cut

the main characters: Dr. Kitty Whisker and her twin sibling Happy(tbd), Dr. Brainworms, Gummi (comic relief character mostly), Prof. Fuzzybottom(tbd) and Prof. Snakebite (previously known as prof. pinky, i need to redesign him more heavily)

the side characters (these guys may have side stories of their own but theyre mostly just an excuse for me to design more weird lab rats): Prof. Smartypants - ref to be finished, ferret with a brain of a human, she is my 'authors blatant self insert' into my own story lol; Fishsticks (drawn, a dissected mouse/frog stitched together), (the rest of these dont have names yet) a rat/chick hybrid with funy lil chicken legs, a rat/gator/shark hybrid she is punk and goth and she Bites, a mouse/cat dna mix with a surprisingly tragic backstory that im still working out, more tba

each lab rat represents usually an amalgamation of different experiments as the lab they are in is 'cheap' with their test subjects and likes to Repurpose old, usually failed experiments and do other stuff to them! honestly even if theyre a success they still end up getting experimented on more lol but they are still unimportant enough and the lab big enough where they can hide themselves away and have their own space w/o being actively searched for. ofc the world of the setting is based on our own reality but way more Hyperreal, i dont aim to represent logical feats of science bc a lot of these guys would defs be revolutionary (and impossible) irl lol. i will briefly run down what each main character is a result of but ideally id like to go into more detail when i actually. make the story more visual in whatever format i decide to do (probably experimental and non linear snippets, i dont think im smart enough for a full comic)

Dr. Kitty and Happy are twins! they were the result of an experiment where the scientists were testing if one species of rodent could gestate a different species of rodent just thru a little genetic modification. and that was Happy! he is actually a bunny born from a rat mother and with all rat siblings (one of them being Kitty) hes a bit smaller in stature than a usual bunny being more rat sized but other than that just a bnuuy! further experiments on them was how well skin grafting would work between different yet similar species. it worked for Kitty (hence the bunny ear) but not so much for Happy... both of them had separate experiments done on them also, altho Kitty was more rebellious of the two earning her the shock collar. Happy also had experiments on his fur to make it color changing like a chameleon, as well as some experiments to his eye (tbd)

Dr. Brainworms is actually a sapient amoeba/bacteria type thing, attached to a host body(that happens to be a hairless rat), this host body is her most compatible one as she Can overtake and control other bodies but they start to decay pretty quickly. her history is something she herself is trying to find out as her host body is its own mystery.. is she just an amoeba that gainted sentience? is her mind really her own? was this body maybe always hers? who knows!

Gummi is a jelly belly gummy rat candy brought to life, pretty self explanatory... but shes got a few mysteries of her own! like, why was she even created, for what purpose, i mean who could even do such advanced science anyway to bring an inorganic candy to life, and Why does she keep talking abt a scientist with green gloves when there arent any scientists like that around?

Prof. Fuzzybottom is a rabbit! she used to be just used for breeding new test subjects which left her pretty traumatized not being able to keep any of her children, she became infertile from the stress so she was repurposed for other experiments, like trying to turn her fur to naturally be an unnatural color, and to be more synthetic like faux fur (aka a living plush) she was also blind so they replaced her eyes with a plushy sleeping mask that actually has LEDs inside that are hooked up to her brain to see if they could restore vision thru cybernetics. in her original iteration she was even supposed to be half rat half bunny buut i felt it too much, might still reuse the idea tho! tbh i just wanted a bunny with cute rat hands :3

Prof. Snakebite is not even a lab rat originally, he was simply a pinky rat used to feed the lab snakes, but due to freak circumstances he was actually still alive and after being bitten by a venomous snake, the stress hormones in his little body make him develop rapidly especially in brain power. as he was still very tiny and fragile, he wasnt the best subject to experiment on, but he was fitted with a brain chip originally just to read and analyze his brain development as he was much more advanced in mind than in body (of an almost newborn). after escaping he would upgrade his brain chip to help him utilize more brain power but also lessen the burden on his tiny body that could not handle the strain. he and prof. fuzzybottom are always hanging around each other, fuzzy very often babying him or just helping him out by carrying him and helping him reach places or handle objects, while he begrudgingly tolerates her as she is useful to his needs. also cant admit he appreciates her actually awww

the rest of the side characters are pretty self explanatory, theyre mostly just various animal hybrids and crossbreeds and splices! smh only the main characters get cool powers and shit -_- aside from Prof. Smartypants, after having a ferrets body fitted with a human mind(who doesnt remember the human part almost at all. its just the advanced intellect from it) tries to figure out the weird body dysmorphia with Science Potions aka chemisty. but thats mostly just to give another one of my sonas shapeshifting ablities (go figure) so yah if u read this so far Waow o_o Thank U and also Pls Send me asks abt this. if u want <3 can be questions or just ur thoughts ig!! id love feedback pleas please plea

ok i have like a ton of ocs but i will talk about my main ones guy 1 (i do not have a name for him. fuckin james or some shit??? idk) is the one ive had for the longest. hes like this 30 something year old guy? and basically what happens is he has this wife that he loves like So so much and then one night at dinner she asks for a divorce. and he is so confused by this because he thought that everything was okay. she reveals that she had been cheating for a couple of months and used HIS money to buy a new apartment for herself. he obviously kicks her out and over the course of like idk man a month or some shit he spirals down and down and down and ends up becoming a murderer. he slowly progresses thru his murderous tendencies, wanting to be able to perfect them before he goes for his ultimate goal, his ex wife. guy 2! also dont have a name for him! i dont know why! his story is loosely based around the concept of the backrooms. i got inspired by the endless office space and decided to create an oc. his story is like way too complex to explain and mostly resides in my Brain Catacombs but basically what happens is that people find out about the back rooms, being able to go in and out whenever they please. the government is of course curious about this, but there are still a ton of things they dont know about it. so they choose to do human experiments! woohoo! the main character, at the age of 13, looses his parents. he is a completely normal guy, and life really isnt looking up for him. so he gets chosen to be a lab rat basically. they dont tell him like, anything at all about the true nature of the backrooms. so he just gets put in there. and observed for years. they find out that the backrooms have a sort of amnesia inducing quality that gets rid of most of the persons memories of before it. but the main story happens when hes like 20 years old still in the backrooms and theres another person there with him. i really need to share my writing from this guy because i have a ton of stuff about him and his story is super hard to explain without them the last 2 kind of come in a package. izolda is a bisexual polish girl and lestari is a sapphic indonesian. theyre both cluster b coded and they end up going into this incredibly toxic codependent relationship with eachother where lestari feeds izoldas insecurities and bad qualities, trying to shape izolda into the "perfect parter" for her. i havent fleshed out their stories that much yet because theyre my newest ocs but i think whats gonna happen is lestari is going to finally push izolda into killing someone for her. i really need to think about their stories more tho

(monologue prompt)

The CEO of a mega corporation, monologues to his older brother and the party of adventures that he (as in his brother) gathered across the multiverse to fight a greater evil, and points out all of his flaws. The Party tries to speak against the accusations, before the CEO rants about how his brother, the party leader, had attacked him with a butchers knife, and left him to die after the house that their family lived in had blown up, all because his younger brother had calmly asked him to train his puppy.

(An Oddly Specific prompt. But lets give it a go)

The CEO walked into the Boardroom that His brother and his team were sitting in. The Elder brother looked happy to see his successful sibling.

"Brother thank you for making the time to meet with us. I am in need of your assistance we need..."

"Let me guess, you need my help to fix one of your messes." The CEO interrupted, clearly unamused.

"Not our mess, there is a great evil planning to wipe out the multiverse! And we were told you would be able to help us get the materials we need to create the Matter destabilizer." One of the Party members spoke up. To the CEO this one appeared to be the brains of the team.

The CEO sighs.

"No. I am done. You can go get the materials for your Matter whatever another way."

"Brother please. I know you have the materials in one of your Company's Labs. We just need to get in and out. Its for the sake of the universe." His brother pleaded.

"Get out of here John, " The CEO says coldly. "I told you I am finished with your crap."

"Victor... Brother. Its for the fate of the Universe."

Victor had heard enough.

"No, stop your crap. I told you I am done John. I am so sick of you bringing me into your exaggerated bullshit! Do you know how often I cleaned up after your messes! You are a careless Man-child that will chase the shiniest object without a care for who gets hurt!"

John's expression showed the hurt that his brother inflicted

Though it seems his team was not willing to take the slander on their comrade.

"Hey, you dont know him! He has saved us dozens of times. He has helped each of us and we owe him far more than what you would think. John is a hero and you shouldnt talk to your brother in such a way."

Victor looked in the direction of the teammate.

"Oh has he? He saved you dozens of times? Let me guess, did those times he "Saved the day" often involve him trying to get something and it backfiring? Or Maybe it was a misunderstanding that He needed to clear up because of his incompetence?"

The Team looked ready to speak but stopped, situations kept popping into their heads only for the idea to fizzle into one of the two scenarios Victor had mentioned.

"At best he was doing damage control over his own mistakes! John handles stress as well as a Landmine!"

"Victor that isnt true!" John spoke up. Now feeling angry and frustrated with his brother's comments.

"May I remind you of the Dog sitting incident?"

"That was over 10 years ago, let it go."

"All I asked you to do was help train our new puppy. That was all, and what do you think happened?" Victor asked as he looked to the John's team.

"The puppy got hurt?"

"The puppy didnt learn?"

"The puppy ran away?"

"All reasonable guesses but no." Victor responded. He was clearly building to the ending.

"Victor it was 10 years ago."

"You attacked me with a KITCHEN KNIFE AND DESTROYED THE BOILER TO OUR HOUSE! THE HOUSE EXPLODED JOHN! YOU DESTROYED OUR HOUSE AND YOU NEARLY KILLED US ALL OVER POTTY TRAINING A FUCKING PUPPY!"

The entire room went silent. Until one of his team spoke up.

"John, did that really happen?"

John looked at his comrade.

"There is some missing context..."

"Damn it John."

"John what the hell?"

Victor sighed.

"Now, if your team needs my lab, then I will provide it. But John, you are not allowed anywhere near it, and after this is over. I never want to see you again."

Victor walked to leave the board room.

"Is that Clear John?"

Ok so we're just taking a romantic sight tour on a boat that Im fairly certain has to be a modified battleship? Thats fine. I wonder where theyre going. Also Dad has really been keeping that scarf in his wallet this entire time? But thats not important right now, what is is everything Carcino is saying.

Hes absolutely right that he 'PAINTED [HIMSELF] INTO A CORNER' with his choice of trolling because it just adds questions like what the heck is is 'THE RIFT' and at the end of what?? At least we get to know more about the ultimate riddle and these clones. Lets go through the two convos. Carcino talks alot and jumps around a bit so Ive moved parts around to make more sense.

John, for his part, has very little knowledge about any of this right down to the fact hes in the Veil. He hasnt even looked close enough to realize these babies hes created look similar to the people he just saw on screen or even himself. I wont hound him too much though. When I look at baby pictures of my sister and myself sometimes I need to use context clues to tell which one is which if theres no date or other people around. On top of that, I look very similar to my maternal grandma when she was younger if I do my hair a certain way Plus, I have a younger maternal male cousin who also looked like me in memory when he had longer hair. Im sure he sees similarities in baby!Nanna, baby!John and baby!grandpa but didnt take the leap to "this obviously has to BE us".

With each update the title of this act makes more and more sense. The babies are exact clones making them their own selves. In a way its similar to Dave and his time powers. Dead Dave and Davesprite fit closely into the definition Carcino has given us. The biggest difference is they dont become the current Dave so I guess they are just regular clones? Mutini is an attempt Mom did to do the same in the labs. However, she was missing something to properly process the cloning function since she never succeeded in cloning Jaspers. I think part of it is the going back in time portion. If a paradox clone inevitably goes back and becomes themself, Jaspers would have to return to their birth and avoid death to keep being Roses cat. Which I think was Moms goal but the cloning process doesnt always go smoothly.

Carcino confirms that the meteors we saw did indeed contain the babies we now know and that the portals of Skaian defense send the meteors to Earth. It was already semi-confirmed during Carcinos last lore drop but now theres an added layer. All of the meteors that happened during the game come from the Reckoning. Likely one of the goals is to create these paradox clones to send back and start these events. It also acts as a failsafe for Skaia in the event that players fail to win the game.

CG: BECAUSE IF IT DIDN'T GO DOWN THIS WAY THEN HOW WERE YOU EVEN BORN, GET IT.

And here we find what happens in that event, NULL SESSIONS. Sessions where everything goes wrong and Skaia has to try again with another set of these kids. Why? WHAT IS ITS GOAL!? Why torment these kids who have no way of knowing what went wrong and how to change it when the next go around its back to square one? Is that where Davesprite comes from? Has this event happened before?

I wonder how long theyve been playing. How did they come to this conclusion? It goes back to the question I ask time and again, what is the goal? There just has to be something deeper thats being missed if no one has beat the game yet. There has to be some reason they are tolling the kids if they are trying to change it even with the knowledge its inevitable.

EB: so this is the same kind of thing you went through?

EB: with, like, being your own paradox clones and creating your own parents and stuff?

We only get a small bit about what Carcino did paralleling Johns current roll. And the family situation is not as straight forward regardless of 'SPOOKY TIME SLIME'. In other parts of the logs we learn the trolling kids hatch as larva(?) which is weird but makes sense being an alien species. John also manages to troll Carcino much better than Carcino could ever dream. Somehow he also gets Carcino to follow the timeline a smidge to keep talking about all of this, much to his annoyance. Why Carcino listens is anybodies guess but I think hes happy someone is listening to his rants even if that someone is John. Its almost adorable.

There is a break between the two logs where John checks up on the babies. The few we see have taken a liking for certain things which helps cement the idea of inevitable personality. Nanna is in Dads hat while baby John is all over that Sassacres book. Bro is napping on that hideous Cal puppet while Dave rides the pony. Concerningly, Grandpa has got his hands on some pistols which makes sense but is very dangerous. Johns trying his best but caring for eight little ones is not easy.

You know, you would think that a man so far from your exes you wouldn't be attracted too but here I am. Sitting in this old mildew lab with Herb. He hates when I call him that. "It's Mr. Herbert West," he always fusses. Hes so no nonsense. Why do I feel anything for him?

Hes stuck me so many times. Hes poked at me with all those scary needles and I listen to him ramble about his crazy theories. You would think I would be terrified of him, hell at one point I was. Then I realized the fear was stupid given he isnt going to share his theories and his magical revival juice doesnt work on me. I feared the needles he used more than him. If you take those away, you just have a brainiac with his endless theories on death.

Maybe its that facination of death that keeps me with him. The idea that I have died so many times that it no longer bothers me but humans are so different. They fear it. They try to prevent it and its so strange to me. Is it the fear of the afterlife or is it the fear of not knowing what happens after you die? I only know because of Magic's antics and I grew to be best friends with Kharon. I hope hes doing well these days and I didnt worry him with my absence.

But Herbert is so interesting to watch. His mumbles about the chemicals he uses, the way he operates in his mind when faced with the possibility of a fresh corpse, and the way he almost dances with the dead. All lead to the same thing, him on the floor, covered in blood and with fear deep in his eyes of what he created. But he never gives up. His drive is what makes me so curious.

I dont know much about him in hindsight. I coined him as the 'toxic science nerd' in here for awhile before I grew to sit with him more. When he was just heartless to me, sticking me with needles that seemed to grow in size and ignored my discomfort, it changed when I finally blew up at him. I hate getting angry but the look in his eyes was enough of a satisfaction for me, even if he kept a scowl on his face. I think he fears me just as much as those experiments but its a different fear.

The fear of something you grow fond of suddenly turning on you. I wouldnt dream of such a thing but I imagine with all the dead he reanimates and the attacks, he isnt used to something just...here with him. In their own corner, not bothering him or trying to kill him. I think the idea of me walking away scares him but its all speculation. I can never seem to read his mind but his face always tells on him.

The little scowls he does are adorable even if outsiders dont get it. You would think hes always so mean and angry but hes not. Hes just Herb and every time I sit with him, the more my feelings grow. Is stockholm syndrome starting to set in or is his reagent some kind of aphrodisiac? Or is it that I genuinely like him?

How..? With his corpse talk and his weird way of doing things? His stern nature and sarcasm. The way he looks at me when he wants to show me a new breakthrough he found. The way he allows me to do his skincare and make him new clothes even if he keeps that scowl on his face. The way he always knows what to do when Im sad or anxious or angry. The way he pays so much attention to me, just as much as I pay attention to him.

I dont think I could bring myself to say anything though. I never been the direct type even with my confident persona. I would have to leave the lab and never come back if he rejected me but I dont know if I could bother to do such a thing. Bah, I want to burn this entry with how much my brain vomited here. I am falling in love with a man who probably wouldnt care about me outside of the context of him kidnapping me. Or if I was a normal human who wasnt dead. Or a facination that he could explore that no one else has before.

I need a glass of wine. Im over thinking again. Damn you Herbert and your stupid face and your stupid hair and your stupid tie and your stupid stupid smile. God I would give him my kidney if I could make him smile.

If Kirsten's experiment does touch a law that should not have been, then I will stop her, just like all the mistakes Rhine Lab has committed over the years-- they ought to be corrected, for I have always believed, the more power one holds, the less they should act recklessly. But if I were to go back in time, to the moment where Kirsten and I first met, when everything had yet to transpire...I would not have stopped her then, nor the birth of Rhine Lab. Yes, even if I knew that Rhine Lab would create this many Catastrophes, even if I could have predicted that Kirsten, Parvis and Ferdinand would eventually grow out of control-- I would still have stood together with them as I did.

idk how global is going to do this part but in CN (and in JP?) Rhine Lab is literally 'Rhine Life' and mumu asks if Kirsten really wants to name it that instead of something like 'Rhine Physics' since she 'just wants to fly to the sky' and she says no, RL is good, because

AK is clearly inspired and references a lot of IRL media and it shows with their graphic design work (UI, motion graphics etc) here's a link to a Lone Trail analysis but....for some reason the story CGs are quite bereft of the same energy (dare i say passion even lol) imo

ofc CGs are to immerse you in the story etc etc and they're really pretty but

The whole family gathered around the living room. The whole family except you.

Donnie, Mikey, and Master Splinter had done all they could to help you with the limited resources they had, and now you were bandaged up in Donnie's lab, barely breathing.

Mikey was sat criss cross on the floor, still covered in your, now dried, blood.

He stared at the floor in front of him, his mind going unusually slow. He felt like he was underwater, and not in a cool undersea adventure way, this was like he had fallen off a ship in a big storm, and the ocean was now dragging him under with its waves, tugging and tugging until his head popped from the pressure.

He shuddered at the mental image he had created for himself, cursing his overactive imagination. At least he knew that was still working.

He glanced up at Sensei, noticing the faraway look in his eyes as well. And his heart dropped into his stomach. First Leo had frozen in battle, and now Splinter was mentally somewhere else too.

He looked back down at the floor, anger bubbling up in his chest. There's so much that could be said, needed to be said. Leo why did you freeze? Raph why did you run off and leave him for dead? Mikey why didn't you jump into action as soon as you saw your little brother get stabbed? Why did you wait? Why didn't you use your ninja instincts?

He went to put his head in his hands and froze, seeing the dried blood still covering his forearms. He stared for a while, before slowly standing himself up, and silently walking over to the bathroom.

Donnie watched Mikey stand and leave, obviously to go clean up. He had never seen him so quiet before. Though he supposed doing medical work on your dying little brother would give you some things to contemplate.

He would know, he was trying to avoid the same thing.

He had taken to thinking through some of his inventions, building them over and over in his mind, forcing himself to focus on the mechanics instead of the dried blood on his own hands, and the paleness of your skin, and your shallow breathing, and your shattered plastron, and-

Donnie sat up straight, staring wide eyed at nothing as he forced his thoughts away from you. SCREWS. SCREWS AND NAIL. BLUEPRINTS EVEN.

He clenched his fists in his lap. Obviously that distraction isn't working. Try something else. Studying? Studying what. Studying deez- Oh god he's spending too much time with Mikey.

He shook his head, hard, trying to shake away the static in his brain. He wanted to get up and get something to tinker with from his lab, but whenever he thought of his lab he thought of you, bandaged and unconscious, barely breathing.

You know how hard it is to fix a broken plastron? He had no idea what he was doing. Thank god Master Splinter was there, or-

AH NO SCREWDRIVER. WRENCH.

Raph watched Donnie fight with himself on the other side of the couch. He wanted to say something, but he was never very good at comfort. Especially when his whole body was twitching with uncontrolled emotions.

Whenever he got like this it usually spiraled into a fight of some kind. Someone would say something stupid and it'd be the last straw. He'd explode and say things he didn't mean, and he was never very good at apologies.

He glanced at Sensei, watching his father mourn silently. And this, for some reason, made Raph's anger spike.

He couldn't mourn yet, you weren't dead. You weren't. You were close to dying but you were still fucking breathing. That was all that was keeping him going. You were still breathing. You still had a chance.

He growled at nothing as he closed his eyes. Suddenly every sound became too much, Donnie's absent tapping, Splinter's breathing, and Leo's fucking pacing ugh why does he have to pace all the fucking time-

He moved to say something to Leo, glare boring holes through his brother, when he saw a familiar expression on his face.

Whereas before Leo had been fully and comepletely in shock, now he had his thinking face on. A face Raph often saw whenever they were fucked in battle. Seeing that face on his brother only ever meant bad things, and that surprised him enough to dispell any lingering anger.

He turned away, thinking for a moment, before getting up and heading to the kitchen. They needed food. Leftovers should still be in the fridge.

Leo didn't even notice Raph had gotten up, or that Mikey had come back, or anything else really. He was deep in his own head, going over every scenario or solution he could possibly come up with, trying and failing to come up with some kind of game plan to make up for his shock earlier.

But every idea had a fatal flaw, something could go wrong, everything could go wrong, it could all go wrong at any second anytime, it could all be going wrong right now, you could be in Donnie's lap with a heavy computer fallen on top of you or some dangerous chemical or something, you could be in there fully and comepletely dead by some freakish accident and he wouldn't be able to help, he wouldn't be able to keep you safe like he couldn't keep you safe today- he should've been there he should've been there he should've been there-!

He stopped pacing, realizing he had worked himself into a panic. His breathing was shallow and it felt like every bone in his body was vibrating inside of him.

He took shaky deep breaths, his hands coming up to rub his arms as he tried in vain to calm himself down. He couldn't faint, not right now, everyone was too high strung, too much was happening, if he fainted it'd only make things worse.

Of course right after that he felt an intense rush of dizziness, and his body moved on its own towards the couch, sitting down slowly as he continued to try and regulate his breathing.

He only looked up when Raph sat down next to him, handing him a cup of tea without words. He blinked, and gently took the cup in his shaking hands, the warmth giving him something to focus on that wasn't his racing heart.

"Thanks." He mumbled, bringing the cup to his lips as he finally noticed Donnie, Mikey, and Splinter with their own food.

"Mhm." Raph hummed, chomping on some cold leftover pizza beside him.

They all stayed quiet afterwards. Focusing on their food and not your presence in the lab. They'd come up with shifts to watch you, and chores to take care of you, and other things to help your recovery later. For now, they needed food.

Now just realizing--

so now you get a run down of V aka Violet Burns.

Violet Burns is the mother of all the burns kids, she and Charlie (Chief) were highschool lovers but more one sided till a point.

When Cody was a few months old, him (Cody) and his siblings were all at home with their dad and Doc (Doc Green) and Frankie were their. Meanwhile their wife's were at the lab doing experiments.

Then...

Something bad happened...

Their was an explosion outside the lab which made the place go up in flames, Violet escaped and ran into the forest - thinking her friend Tulip (Docs wife) was behind her.

She then went back to the lab and saw her kids crying, they all thought that she had died in the fire.

Violet out of nowhere decided to not go back to her family.

And left.

For good.

She ran her gang of mutants that had a job to make earth safer. The mutants used to be her friend but after something happened to them in their teen years they all were mutated. (This also means that Violet and Charlie's kids are also part mutant)

The gang was called Violet Tulip.

Graham - at the time - before the incident at the lab - was showing signs that he was mutated too. He didn't have drastic changes, just powers. Like telekinesis and catch objects that were being thrown at him from behind. Graham soon joined the gang and his mutated form was a demon like his mom.

As Cody grew up, Graham would take him to Violets base and her friend and Graham would play with Cody. And as Cody got older, his powers were showing too. He could teleport and translate any language wheatear alien or human. Cody started to sneak off to see his mom and her friends a lot and they helped him with his powers.

Graham for some odd reason was emotionless to almost any thing that went on. It was though that it was due to his mutated half but it wasn't. He was just going through hard stuff when he used to go to school.

➭ Now onto how she reunited with the rest of the family.

She accidentally jumped scared Frankie and Uno (Cody's bf in my au) and Cody just said "hey mum"

The got to the firehouse and she explained that happened, why she didn't return sooner and she's been watching everything that's been going on from a distance. So she knew the bots secrets already.

It took all of Griffin Rock to get used to her being back, but eventually with time, everything was like normal.

☞ In their demon forms, Violet is a purple succubus, Graham is a blue Incubus and Cody is a red lower class demon

☞ Their all very aggressive in their demon forms + Graham is the only one of the three that can keep his demon form hidden for a long time.

☞ They need to show their demon forms for a bit so they don't lose control, Graham however, he doesn't show his demon half, so, the more times he gets mad the more powerful his demon side gets

☞ Cody is still learning how to use his demon form, and for now, he's still training on how to use his wings, he's gotten better but still needs training

☞ Violet gave Wes, Frankie and Priscilla each a necklace with powers, Wes has the power of speed and his form is a fallen angel, Frankie got water powers and her form is a snake, and Priscilla has the power of far sight aka she can see things from very very far away all she has to do is say what she wants to see and she can see it and her form is fairy. They can use their powers when they have their necklaces and even when their not in their forms

☞ The three still need to practice their powers, but as for now their still only using a small percentage of their powers

But I had some different thoughts in accordance to where you chase the Red Mannequins down. I see the connections you’re making—but I have to disagree. I imagine you’re trying to link why Adler’s order to Case to dispose of Gusev affected him.

I can see why people think Adler was involved somehow with Case’s experimentation of the Cradle. Here’s the thing though…

When Case was in that facility ten years ago on January 1981, Adler was busy with another experiment.

January 17th, 1981. Who did he just nab from Turkey on January 12th? What happens at the end of the Nowhere Left to Run mission?

Bell.

Now why would Adler, who just snagged Bell—go to a random lab in Eastern Kentucky. That’s the thing, my dear Watson.

Bell got brainwashed in that lab—in the Cognitive Research division of course.

Because what other division would it be if not that? Why else would Adler go there after just nabbing Bell? I’m not necessarily suggesting they immediately went into the brainwashing method—five weeks passed in total till Bell was with Adler in Berlin for the Da Nang psych exercise(on February 23rd). But…perhaps 1 week of torture or less to fit the timeline. Or maybe a day or two after the 1 week. Oh sorry. Adler called it “Normal forms of interrogations.” Sorry War Criminal.

We also know Park went to America to help protect scientists in a “clandestine project” according to her wiki.(Tumblr isn’t letting me link so have a picture 🥲)

Based on all this and how busy the man was with other problems—I don’t see him being busy conditioning Case too. And not mentioning it. And to even condition him about not mentioning Pantheon or The Cradle when Adler just found out about them.(Here I’m talking to the people who weirdly think Case is either his kid or that Case is Bell. That’s a whole reach. Like Adler wouldn’t immediately call Case Bell if it was Bell. And Bell somehow staying in the CIA in one piece? Impossible.)

To add on to your own actual observations and not me just inferring—I dont see how Adler would be involved in the Administration side of things? Especially since Daniel Livingstone is the one who closed down the whole super soldier serum project and that whole building in the first place after the gas spilling everywhere. Adler leaving before that whole event happening since he was just there for Bell before heading out and going to deal with Perseus.

Again though, I see why you think Adler may be involved. I’m just confused as to how Adler may have had all his fingers in different psychological pies(brains really). I feel like there’s something more going on with Case, Gusev and Adler. Perhaps the words themselves. Perhaps it’s the fact Gusev talked about Pantheon and the Cradle in the first place when Case was conditioned he wasn’t allowed to do that—creating a bit of a psychotic break. Just a tad. His conditioning punishing Gusev for him even talking about it—all he needed was orders.

That’s just my two cents though. I do see the connections but it’s hard for me to wrap my head around it. This was killer to respond to. Kudos to @makeyourpeacenow where we discussed this very thing about Bell and Case and when their minds both turned into liquid. (We got brainwashed in freakin Kentucky?! Kentucky!! Emergence - Behind each arena

Thought this mission was chaotic af. Didn't expect zombies to be in the campaign since they literally have a separate mode for that but anyways let's take a lil dive into EMERGENCE.

⚠️WARNING: Spoilers for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6

-Advanced Combat Research-

For this section, we obtain a grappling hook and need to defeat the director of ACR with the help of some sentries.

I wasn't actually sure about this one since the zombies were just well....zombies that looked like guards. However, that said, the big guy we had to defeat was just a Cerberus/three-headed-dog-like figure.

-Administration-

For this keycard, we have to find the reports and slot them into the holders and this red mannequin comes to life (along with the others...)

Red is an interesting choice. It stands out from the rest and if we think back to Cold War, you'd remember red being used A LOT throughout the campaign.

Anyways, once it's free, the red mannequin goes on the run (a bit like Adler) and we have to chase it, the voice in Case's head saying, "I knew we couldn't trust him," and if we fire at it, the voice mentions, "Bullets are nothing to him," possibly referring to Adler being hardened by his years of service.

He cracks when we reel him in and get too close and then he pushes us away. The cracks remind me of Adler's scars - mental and physical. In fact, the mannequins actually take on the form of Adler mostly as well in this room. A coincidence? I think not.

After the initial phase, the red mannequin transforms into the monster as seen in the third image and again, we get another piece of dialogue - "See? He's a monster, just like the rest of them."

The thing that comes to mind here is Adler's nickname - America's monster.

-Joint Projects-

To acquire this keycard, we play some prop hunt basically! Objects around the room will rattle, signifying the monster's whereabouts and we have to sneak up on it and fire or it will disappear again - kind of alluding to the idea of secrecy, a core theme of Black Ops.

What's interesting to me is the fact that the zombie engages in a prop hunt like game with Case...like being on the move constantly and watching your back when others get too close to the truth perhaps.

We know that Sevati Dumas is the queen of disguise, excelling at being hidden in plain sight so this definitely fits her and that's why we see her in this arena.

-Cognitive Research-

During this phase, we have to drain some water to get the keycard and kill the big guy who's residing in the bathysphere.

The voice in Case's head seems to focus on rage here. I think for this part, there was a mix of Marshall, Sev and Adler zombies.

On escape, we see a Woods horde charging towards us. If we consider the theme of rage, we can certainly see where Woods' anger lies - Hudson and Mason's death especially to Woods' being kneecapped by Menendez and how that's mentally affected him, leading him to suffer. Hence, this is a part of the "cognitive research" bit.

-Biotechnology-

For this phase, we have to defeat a friggin' levitating zombie.

I thought this one was very reminiscent of Case...almost like it's his true form. He's essentially fighting himself for this one, just like looking in a mirror, right?

Troy and Sev zombies can be seen, most likely because this is where the three of them all are in reality.

Ugh, the possible secret connection between Will and Brenner is so annoying because the writers also (probably intentionally) avoided making Will and Brenner interact or see each other face to face the whole show. Will sees Brenner only when he died at the desert and that's it. And it's portrayed very ambigously. Like, did he recognize Brenner or did he not? Maybe Will didnt recognize Brenner but Brenner still knew about him and there is something else going on that we have not learned yet? But it just feels purposeful that they have never seen each other face to face since freaking S1, it has to mean something especially how the lab and Brenner were involved in creating Will's fake death body and trying to deceive others my making it seem like Will died. Why not make the same thing for Barb as well? If it was just to cover up the existence of the UD and all that mess, then they would have created a fake body for Barb as well and faked her death. But that's not what happened. The way they treated Will's disappearence and Barb's disappearence/death were very different. Brenner focused on Will but never on Barb, why?

Like this guy also KNEW Will was possessed once again and that the UD was coming for Will once again in S2. Didnt he suspect anything? That was sus. Surely he must have thought that the way Will survived the UD for a week was weird as hell. And now he is possessed, too? And HE ONCE AGAIN SURVIVES? Are you shitting me? How the hell a guy like Brenner wouldnt think that shit was weird as fuck? Unless... unless he knew beforehand that Will was already 'special' in some way and he suspected it? But he couldnt exactly reach to Will bc Will had an entire family trying to protect him. Because manipulating El and Henry were easier since El had only a mother that got her brain fried, and Henry killed his whole family (except his father before collapsing), so it was easier for Brenner. But Brenner couldnt possibly reach Will after Will was rescued from the UD because Will didnt just have Joyce. He also had Hopper, his friends and other members that were there for him. Reaching Will would have been harder, so he maybe just decided to keep an eye on Will from the sidelines?

Maybe Owens knew it too...? Like, the way Owens has been acting is suspicious as well. The way he actually has been working with Brenner and the lab the whole time and he kept it a secret? He never informed the others that Brenner was alive the whole time? That man is sus as well.

Too much to be explained honestly and the only person who can explain all of this shit is Vecna himself. Brenner is already bones, Owens is sus but even if he knows somethings and is keeping certain secrets its not like he knows about other plot points.

The whole explanation as to HOW and WHY Will disappeared, how he managed to survive unlike the other victims in the UD for a freaking week, the way he's found at the library without the Demogorgon actually attacking him, the way he was alive with a tube thing inside him, the way he's possessed later on but the MF/Vecna still didn't kill him. ''He wants to kill everyone else but me''. The way Will could feel the UD and MF even before he got possessed. The way he was alreading showing powers like shadow walking, true sight etc before his possession and the way he didnt get killed after MF got exorcised out of him. Why? MF killed all those flayed people, and it killed Billy when Billy went against him. So why the hell not kill Will in S2 or in S3 when Will was still feeling the presence of MF and informing others about his plan?

S5 cannot come faster honestly. I need Vecna to sit and give a 1 hour long monologue explaining all of that shit because I am losing my mind.

Golden Child Pt. 1

I literally can't remember where I found it but I read a headcannon for an angsty SBI +Reader and I loved it so much that I had to write something similar to it but I think I might have forgotten to like it, so if you know what the original is please tell me so I can credit them I was partially inspired by@helliontherapscallion's "Adrenaline Junkie" series, simply for the fact that because of them i haven't stopped thinking of inventor reader. Also let's just pretend that uh my human biology degree isn't going to waste by me writing blindness incorrectly ha ha. This is a purely fictional way that blindness works.

As soon as Y/N's wings started developing, they were instantly the favorite child. Philza still showed his love to Wilbur, but nowhere near as much as he did to his winged child. Nothing was more amazing than Techno's knowledge, or his skills in fighting, or his odd way of speaking, or those stupid things that he did, or the fact that he'd always blame it on some 'voices' in his head. That he had a God complex. That he was better than Wilbur. He was better than Tommy. He was better than you...

He was always better than you. Of course. Thats what you felt when you first met. Not amazement, not the happiness of having another friend. Of course not. It was overwhelming jealousy. But he was your brother, so you had to suck it up just like Wilbur did.

But soon enough, they came to peace with this. They moved on and worked on what they actually enjoyed, not what Philza enjoyed. Mechanics. Phil would have killed you if he learned of all the dangers that you put yourself through to consider yourself an inventor. Or.... Would he?

One day your older brother approached you with his idea to create "L'manburg". At first you couldn't help but laugh. But when it was realized that Wilbur wasn't joking and that he had already recruited Tommy, they agreed to join the fight for freedom. It was a way to pay Wilbur back for being there for them, afterall.

Y/N never imagined the true horrors that they would have to go through so they could say a 'thank you' to Wilbur. They never even truly said it to him, L'manburg was already exploded and he was killed before they could say it to him. Not even saying it to Ghostbur was good enough.

Y/N was forced to suffer through watching her loved ones go mad. Sometimes, they would try coming up with inventions that could help her friends out, and some that could help some regular problems in the world for other people. Most of them didn't work, they were only able to produce goggles that could just barely help fully blind people see. But it was a step in the right direction.

Then doomsday came. Y/N didn't want to be part of it, they didn't want to even try hurting their father and younger brother. They aren't even sure how they came to that point.

Before they knew it, they were begging the man who once gave them anything in the world for him to stop. The whole server was one big family especially everyone in the homes he was about to destroy. But what they wanted didn't matter anymore. It's what Technoblade wanted, and he wanted blood.

At the last moment, Y/N remembered Friend. Ghostbur would be devastated if Friend died.

Falling down to the ground from the small warning of TNT, Friend flooded their mind.

If they couldn't save L'Manburg, they needed to save Friend. Ghostbur wasn't the same, but Ghostbur is Wilbur. They still never said thank you. They have to show their gratitude through the miracle of Friend surviving.

And so that's what they set off to do. With no mind to their own self-preservation, Y/N got up and flew as fast as they could to save Friend. But before they could reach the sheep, a large pile of rubble fell on one of their wings, almost snapping it right off. Y/N tried to get it off but to no avail, and their whole body wasn't safe. As they saw more rubble they crouched down while covering their head with their hands and covering the undamaged wing with their body, they prepared for impact.

The last thing they could speak out was almost incomprehensible.

"Wil..... Will...... Ghosbu.............. Tommy.......... Dad............."

And then everything went black. Y/N couldn't see or feel anything. Not even after her youngest brother, the ghost of her older brother, and the three fiances of the SMP untrapped them. There was nothing.

After what felt like years for the brothers, there was finally a glimpse of Y/N waking up. But they continued to drift in and out of consciousness and whenever someone tried communicating they were completely unresponsive.

During this amount of time, it was agreed that it was in their best interest for their wings to be removed. They were both utterly useless now after being crushed and would just be extra weight with unnecessary pain that can be avoided the sooner their wings get removed. Just in case Y/N was still aware of everything going on, they were put under amnesia to lower the chance of them feeling the agony of a wing removal surgery.

Slowly Y/N began more responsive to people, but never to the same amount. Everyone that took care of them were absolutely heartbroken when they figured out part of the rock that fell on them damaged a vital organ that allowed a person to see. Luck was in fact on their side for damaging their eyesight instead of the brain, however most people didn't see it that way.

Ghostbur took it upon himself to become Y/N's seeing-eye dog. He missed having Friend nearby and Y/N was the thing he connected to the most after Friend's death.

After a few months of trying to get used to no longer having sight or wings Y/N was finally allowed back in their lab with a large amount of supervision from Ghostbur. While carefully running their hands across some unfinished inventions, Y/N comes across the goggles that they made at least a year ago. It immediately smarked a memory deep within their brain, the closest thing they had felt to seeing something ever since doomsday.

"Ghostbur, what color are these?" "Oh, they're blue. Blue's a really nice color, it reminds me of Friend. Do you remember Frien- Why are you looking down at those like that? Would you like some blue, it takes your sadness away! Wait dont put them on, the glass has cracks!" Y/N snickers as the ghost tries to take them away from them without being super forceful, "I'm already blind, what's the worst it can do?"

"Dont say that!" Ghostbur gasps, "We will find a way to get your vision back, those goggles might make it impossible!"

"I made these around the time you first showed up. I ran multiple tests with them and I was able to help a blind person see the world again. Sure, it was very blurry, hard to distinguish a lot of colors from each other, we have a different kind of blindness, and its been more that a year since I last tested them, but they might still work." Y/N explains, then they turn their back to Ghostbur and put the goggles on. This time, Ghostbut only makes a sound in protest.

Blinking, Y/N could feel the stimulation in their brain that they lost along with their eyesight come back. They moved their hands from the position they were in to put the invention on to Y/N's line of sight, and they could see their hands again. Fuzzy, shapeless, hands with a few bandaids and many scars on them.

"So, are they working?"

The voice of your brother brings Y/N back to reality and they turn to look at him. They had completely forgotten what Ghostbur looked like, only remembering vaguely what child Wilbur looked liked and a brief description of how Ghostbur's appearance differed for Wilbur's.

Y/N wraps their arms around the Ghost, not actually hugging but just doing the motion to where they would hug a person they could actually touch, as they tried to not cry in front of him.

Create multiple CVs ( resumes for the Americans ) and cover letters is a pain but its helps. Its best not to let them assume anything about you or where you live so no photo or address on your CV. It can come across unprofessional if you do this and its not standard practice. I created a new email that makes it sounds like i have a very male name, which i do not lol. Don't have a childish email address

Figure out what type of jobs you want and learn what jobs are out there. There's more beyond searching for "office job". Yearsss ago, I created a doc with jobs i thought i could do or wanted to do and under each job, listed what hardskills, professional certifications ( not the silly online certificates skills share offers ) and software it required. Doing this helped me figure out if wanted to learn X skill in the first place to a basic level because jobs will train you

Applying for non-technical jobs in libraries, schools, youth centres that involves using a computer, can be a really good bridge job.Its less stressful and you'd have access to a computer to edit your CV at work lol ( delete your search history after). Most of those jobs require customer service skills and gives you the opportunity to skill-up.

Years ago when i wanted to go in UX design and realised i was fucked lol, i found UX design companies and looked at the less technical jobs and found lab assistant role that would give me exposure to the field while i skilled up + build a UX portfolio & i got a job offer as a UX lab assistant ( i accepted another job elsewhere ). There are ways to build your skills so you have more direct transferable skills by being around the industry or look for X jr or assistant roles

Going on LinkedIn to see what previous jobs someone that has the current job I want did. i wrote down what terms keep popping up on their profile to describe my skills ( within reason) or acquire them.

If you can get any sort of free cv and interview help from an org, take it up. Most govs, unis or youth centres will offer this

If you're struggling to word your job duties on your CV, find the job description for your current job and similar jobs on job boards because you could be forgetting something and there might be some buzzwords you want to lift

Before you apply, create opportunities in your current customer service job to gain better transferable skills. If you've used Excel a singular time at work, add it as a job duty or an achievement if you created something or fixed some process or database

Look up skills or terms on job descriptions you dont understand and if its a large business they likely have documents and PDFs that a search INSERT COMPANY NAME + INSERT PROCEDURE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND could help with. I once did this and found a PDF that basically explained to companies what that procedure is, how to format their files etc. When i brought it up in my interview ( within context ) i could feel them being impressed wash over me. Coming off like a likable try hard works but LIKABLE being important or it just seems smug.

Fix your CV/ resume up and when you get an interview use some of the language you saw in the job description with basically copying if you can help it. Mirror their language and jargon

Know when you're probably wasting your time trying to get certain jobs but still trying. This can be tricky but sometimes its not reasonable to think you can become a data architect with no transferable skills and maths hurts your brain. Maybe you can become a data analyst

Embellish within reason don't fake to the point you're making things up

heey idk if you will get this but what would you think of a villainous michael? i dont have any ideas i can come up with on thr spot but its been clinging to my brain like a pokemon with pokerus

Hmmm that would be most out-of-character for him. But I will indulge, given how it's theorized his family and the majority of the HQ Lab staff were likely once part of Cipher. (A theory I've made myself mainly centering around the origins of the Snag Machine and how secretive they were of their work around it and the Purify Chamber.)

To make a villain out of someone you have to emphasize something that happened to them to justify them. Cipher was an old mining corporation that founded modern Orre, they changed when they found a method for creating Shadow Pokemon which was a purple stone that you can see glowing in the Cipher Key Lair's conveyer belts and machines. It created Shadow Pokemon and made humans like Greevil and Evice's families greedy and power wild. That's all a theory based on observation and context clues, but one thing that we know for sure happened to Michael was the passing of his late father who was the inventor of all Snag Machines.

When he passed, Michael canonically was sent into a depression. An old man in the HQ Lab implied this. How Michael's dad died is a mystery. But with that, it could be used fuel some ambition for this Michael you're talking about.

Perhaps, inspired by Shadow Pokemon research and his father's death, Michael would try to find a way to cure mortality in a sense. Maybe he would notice how Shadow Pokemon never level up or gain experience, essentially making them incapable of aging. Maybe he would dabble with this prospect of keeping things the same, keeping his friends and family from undergoing certain changes. Why submit to the ugly inevitability of death when you are alive and well now?

It would go against everything he's been taught by Krane and Lily and the rest of the HQ Lab, but he would take a purple stone close and let it corrupt him to learn more about it. But the effect of the stone's afflicted greed snowballed into corrupting his friends, family, and his own Pokemon. In an effort to let himself and everyone live forever as perfect snapshots of themselves, to keep what happened to the father from happening again, they would become the new Cipher and repeat Orre's history within the HQ Lab. And at the center of a changed, maligned family is a changed Michael who did all this because he was unable to cope with his father's passing. The irony is that given their origins from Cipher and how they tried to hide their past the past ended up coming back and transforming them to become the new core of a spreading malignance. The HQ Lab dug up their past and become a rogue Cipher faction not affiliated with the real Cipher.

All that aside, fun stuff I could imagine is new Shadow Pokemon production from the "Impurify" Chamber and wonton snagging from reverted Snag Machine systems. While all of Orre at this point would be against their existence, what with ONBS and Team Snagem's remnants actively fighting against the real Cipher's remnants. Michael's Cipher would resist with their understanding of Shadow Pokémon and purification resistance. Michael himself would be the leader to wield a reverted Snag Machine and skillfully defeat everything he comes across with is new Shadow Pokemon and unhinged weaponized suffering.

But that is just a nonsense idea growth. It would be so out-of-character for Michael. His Snag Machine represented his father on his journey to redeem him for the part he played as the Snag Machine inventor during Colosseum and came to terms with his passing in the end. (The proof is in the Secret Ending) The Evil Wes idea makes a little more sense but still not that applicable if we take a deep dive into his possible motivations (and the rumor about him once being meant for XD's villain was made up). The purple stones exist but I can't say for sure if they're responsible for making Greevil greedy and evil or corrupting Evice's ancestry or Evice himself. Though theory has it that there were three Shadow Pokemon incidents Orre with the first happening in an ancient Orre, leading to Rui's gift of shadowy aura seeing, but beyond that I cannot say for sure of the purple stones would change human characters that way. I'd like to think they do for how its discovery changed an old mining corp into Cipher, not just based on its observed affect on Pokemon. The lack of motivation and depth for the main villains of Colosseum and XD inspire this theory.

Please excuse me if you got more than what you bargained for, anon. Emphasizing on a person's tragedy or discovery can create ambitions to become a villain. If you don't know enough about the character you can always give them a "rock" that makes them evil. As for Michael, you can do both for AU purposes.

the entirety of ONE is a bruh moment. will elaborate

the episode starting off with stones thrown paper landing in the perfect spot to create the intro hurts my brain. stone threw the paper seemingly as a warning to the audience about the lack of control we have over votes, but to also become the intro for the next episode....so stone wants the show to keep moving forward? i want to dissect them like a lab frog

this part was so funny to me because its like this challenge was designed for them to fail. backpacks leg is broken, texty is a text box, and soda bottle spends most of his time sleeping. none of them are capable of doing a pushup. 100% if scentys team wasnt unionizing right now they would have lost.

looks like backpack and soda bottle took stones warning to heart, because now they’ve got the open eyes during the voting screen, so now they “see” like stone did. backpack looking away when scenty begs the audience to vote her off makes my brain hurt.

i really, really doubt that scenty will be the one leaving next episode. unfortunately my bets are on it being backpack. if airy really did design this challenge for backpacks team to lose, then that means he wants someone on that team gone, and i think its backpack due to...whatever stone was hiding on those papers that backpack has inside him right now... which is something airy does know about, since scenty told him. airy doesnt want them to find out something, and ive already got an essay about airys possible motivations or true character, but either way backpack seems likeliest to go.

and of course star of the show, charlotte moldy my diseased. queen there is something deeply wrong with you.

so, we finally got some backstory for moldy. a spelunker with some....really, really big pride issues, and a tendency to project onto people. im not the best at like. character interpersonal issues analysis but there’s definitely some personal problems she has to work through. probably an inferiority complex.

but my GOD, the fact she got taken DIRECTLY in the middle of this argument. the screen goes black at “do y-” and she ends up in the plane in episode 1, continuing that sentence “-ou HONESTLY think im gonna forgive you?” holy shit. at least now we know the context, but its that she was....being a massive dick. wow.

when she said they humiliated her, parker didnt understand. when she said her friends humiliated her to the other contestants you could almost believe she was friends with like, some self-righteous rich asshole, but seeing the whole picture? pretty clear its more complicated. more of a case of like “friends genuinely care about her despite her lack of responsibility but she can’t cope with her being the problem and she takes the consequences out on them” or something.

also at least now we know the objects arent like, object sized in the first episode contestants world since her massive tv is almost 3 feet according to her. unless feet is measured based on their tiny little object feet since like...humans arent there dictating human-based size equivalents. nevermind. anyway the paintings smile and the landscape in the back “smiling” are unsettling to me i dont like it.
