Okay hear me out
Nightmare asking Killer if there's anything he wants and Killer says he wants to go see Color in the omega timeline. He hasn't seen him in a while and he misses his friend, but Nightmare takes this to mean he wants to leave and stay with Color permanently.
He agrees, because even though it makes him deeply sad to lose one of his men, he needs to let Killer go and live with other mortals and be happy. Killer texts Color and goes to pack a bag and Nightmare opens a portal and takes him to the omega timeline. They meet Color and he's looking very suspicious of Nightmare while Killer runs up all excited and off they go.
And Nightmare goes back to the castle. He spends the rest of the day in a weird daze, feeling kind of empty. When the others inevitably ask where Killer is, he hesitates and tells them he's in the omega timeline and doesn't elaborate further.
Eventually he shuts himself in his office for the night and just sits at his desk, staring into space. He's glad Killer's happy, of course, but it still hurts that he's gone. What is he going to tell the others when they start asking again, after it's been too long to be a simple visit? Will they all want to leave? They probably all have places to be, maybe he should let them go, would that be better for everyone? If Killer, who was always so eager and happy to be here, wanted nothing more than to get out, what does that mean for the rest of them?
This is the beginning of the end, isn't it? He'll have to let them all go, and then he'll be alone. Just like when he and Dream were kids and Dream would go off with his own friends. Except he can talk to Dream now, can't he? Maybe he should ask him about this. If nothing else maybe Dream would agree to visit him, once they're all gone.
But before he can pick up his phone and call his brother, it starts buzzing and it's Killer like "Okay I'm ready to come home now c:"

#sometimes. most times. if i cant articulate things properly i feel like my heads gonna explode. which is unfortunate bc i have the#language is hard brain problems. my neurology makes articulation difficult. but i try reguardless. which is sometimes. most times.#exhausting. that words gets thrown around a lot when i describe the patterns of my thoughts. exhausting. and it is i guess. tho id say its#more annoying and frustrating. but maybe its also exhausting. hard to tell when its how u think. but ive been reading a lot of papers this#weekend. enjoying the papers i read. papers about photosynthesis at the edge of habitability. about genetis and the structure and functions#of proteins. and the learning curve is steep but im learning bit by bit. and it just sorta makes me sad bc the way that my brain works has#so damaged the way that i interact with the world and i can see it at every step of my academic career. i dont even kno what to say abt the#past 2 years of my life. from where i stand now its just a black hole of self destruction. y did i do that? i dunno. at the time i was just#following the arbitrary rules and restrictions laid out for me within my head. did these rules have a rational basis? no. not usually. but#thats how it had to be. exhausting. but even then i coukd sometimes see thru to the wonder. and it was agony bc i wasnt allowed to think#abt it. its still agony now but i can feel it more often. maybe that's what happiness is to me. to be so full of wonder that i cant take it#i cant exist in that state or id b nonfunctional. its too big for my chest. it makes me want to scream and weep and pull at my hair. and#and its maddening bc i cant articulate it properly. except to call upon media short hands. there is wonder here. a nightmarish description#but not always. sometimes it was beautiful. theres a reason ive read annihilati0n 5 times despite hating the book. theres a reason i rewatch#the terror nearly once a month. to find beauty in a thing that causes you such terror and pain. theres something about it i can't find the#words for and its driving me nuts. exhausting. but so it goes#unrelated

haikyuu boys reaction to you biting them (lovingly), a little spicy in rin’s
Tumblr media
tobio
he is the most confused man on earth
but he likes it too????
who’s gonna match his freak
He’s just in the kitchen getting some food out of the fridge
And there you go, skipping towards him
“Hi Tobi.” You quip, your hands smoothing out on his stomach.
Even though you two have been together for so long
He’s such a nervous baby when it comes to any kind of attention from you
“Hi.” He says with a small smile.
You smile evilly, your mouth inching closer to his neck.
He’s unaware of all of this mind you.
Until it’s to late and now your teeth are kinda sinking into his skin
He lets out a noise of surprise and his whole body shudders, maybe even shuts down too
You giggle at his reaction and he whips around to you
“W-What was that.” He says with brows pulled together and a bright red face
“I bit you.”
“Why?”
“I dunno.”
“I liked it.”
“What?”
“Hm?”
He does it more than you now.
koshi
He loves it so much don’t get me started
He LIVES for your bites
He always has such a pleasing smile on his face the moment you do it
And he ALWAYS kisses you after
In your defense he was just to fucking cute for you to not bite him
You were both cuddling and Koshi was just being his sappy sweet teasing self
He was attacking you with kisses and compliments
“My pretty baby.”
smooch.
“Love you so much.”
smooch.
You were laughing and well, couldn’t take it anymore
Your hands cup his cheeks and you swiftly move your head
Biting down on the space between his neck and shoulder
He laughs out loud, looking at you with amusement
“You bit me!” He’s cracking up
“I had to.”
“Really now?”
“Mhm.”
He kisses you, nibbling on your lip
“Koshi!” You exclaim.
“What! This is our thing now.”
And he fully means it
wakatoshi
plz he has no idea how to feel about it😭
he likes it????
But like he genuinely thinks there’s a reason as to why you’re biting him
“Are you hungry...?”
“Nope!”
“Okay…”
He always jumps when you do bite him
He definitely looks it up LMFAO
A whole Google search
‘What does it mean when your partner bites you’
He’s so unfamiliar with this
Cuteness aggression?
Are you biting him because you’re angry?
He eyes you after too
With pursed lips and blinking eyes
Just pure confusion
“Why do you keep biting me. You said you weren’t hungry. Do you have an oral fixation?”
gagged
“Honestly yea, for your biceps.” You smirk.
“Why?”
“Because you’re sexy.”
He looks down at them with your teeth marks everywhere
And he’s blushing AWWW
Definitely when he figures out he likes to be marked
He even starts absentmindedly holding his arm out for you just so you can place a little chomp
“You like it now?” You say as you squish his muscle
“I wouldn’t say so. But you like it.”
“I do.”
“Then maybe I do like it.”
rintaro
this fucking freak.
it just does things to him
other than the sudden chills he gets
he always smirks at you
HE NEEDS TO BE RESTRAINED
his pants?
gone.
he gets so horny 😭😭
he’s just a guy🎀
The moment your teeth graze ANY where
he’s on his knees
at your mercy
“You want it so bad.”
LIKE WHATTTT
He HATES when you do it in public though
because he can’t be all over you
Especially in front of the Miya twins
you don’t even greet him with a kiss it’s just a bite on his neck and he’s a puddle
“Just do it.”
just vote just vote
LIKE DO WHAT?!
He wants you to leave marks everywhere
Now those he’ll definitely show off he doesn’t gaf

like you mad at me, baby !
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
─ ➤ In which he accidentally eavesdrops on your conversation with a friend regarding your fantasies of him going rough. and as your boyfriend, who was he to deny his pretty girlfriend?
⊹˙. ꒰ featuring ─ Yukimiya Kenyu x fem! reader ꒱ .˙⊹
** warnings : fem! reader, light cheek slapping (like twice), light choking, pet names (sweetheart, love, baby), p in v, mating press I think, unprotected sex (don’t try this at home !!), mentions of manhandling, and poorly written smut hehe ૮˶´ ᵕˋ ა . .
** note : hihi !! this is my first fanfic / drabble ever so I’m sorry if it’s weird + english isn’t my first language so please excuse the mistakes that are made .. and honestly I was half asleep making this fic LOL .. buut if you do enjoy, do consider reblogging maybe ;3 ? tqq !!
** wc : 1,565 words !
໒ ; be warned ! smut below the cut. ;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yukimiya Kenyu has the patience of a saint. he’s sweet — kind, caring, the synonyms go as long as a grocery shopping list. and oh, not to mention his respect for women. it’s truly endearing how he’s not afraid to express that to you — how he’s not afraid to make sure that you know that you’re his first and last love. by carrying your groceries, giving his jacket when it’s cold out, he truly never fails to show how much he loves you.
now, he’s also not one to eavesdrop. he finds it truly disrespectful and meaningless. he’s sure to keep his ears and mind to himself whenever a phone call or conversation is happening around him — friend or not, even if it’s just a word he had heard — he doesn’t enjoy eavesdropping, no matter who it is talking.
but now, even if he hates to admit it, he’s slightly thankful that he eavesdropped a small bit on your conversation with a friend on the other line. even if the guilt is gnawing at him — eating him alive for even thinking on invading your privacy and for him to feel somewhat glad he did, another part of him wants to make your wishes come true.
“I dunno. it’s not that he doesn’t satisfy me — hell, he’s more than enough. I just want to know what he’s like if he’s a little rough, y’know what I mean?”
oh, he knows what you mean. he’s not shaming you for it — your wishes are completely valid and understandable. he has always been rather gentle and soft during intimacy — hands interlocked as he whispers praises into your ear, thrusts slow but deep — deep enough to hit that gummy spot inside of you and have your toes curling.
he doesn’t want to overstep boundaries, or do something you don’t like. the two of you have been in love for as long as he can remember, from where he was an unknown football player to a rising star of bastard münchen. he’d honestly rather lose his career than to lose you, because what would he ever do if his other half was missing?
chained by the worry of accidentally hurting you, he’s been keeping himself on his best behavior during intimacy, holding back the urge to start ravaging you and show you what he’s been wanting to do for so long. why else do you think he laces his fingers with yours gently, caressing your body affectionately while kissing every inch of your skin? even through the temptation he gets, from the talks in the locker rooms and the videos he’s watched — he has to hold himself and his thoughts together, trying to ignore the way his dick springs up at the thought of your eyes rolling to the back of your head and nails scratching his back to leave pretty marks as he fucks the life out of you.
after all, your pleasure and comfort was his top priority, he doesn’t blame you for wanting a change of pace. but as your boyfriend, it’s his duty to make your wishes come true — right?
“k-kenyu -! what’s — mmph, gotten i-into you..!”
oh, you sound and look so pretty. lips parted in ecstasy with your brows furrowed, tears welling up in the corners of your eyes as you whine and writhe — if he knew this was what you wanted all along, he would’ve done this sooner, much much sooner. his grip on your legs grow tighter, making sure they don’t fall off his shoulders as he meanly drills his cock inside of your gummy walls.
“hm? thought this was what you wanted, sweetheart.” his tone was sickeningly sweet, as if he was comforting you on a bad day — as if his length wasn’t abusing your poor, sopping cunt. his glasses were folded neatly on the bedside table, as if he’s been planning on doing this for so long, as if he’s planned this from the very, very beginning.
what a silly question — he thinks. he could practically see the gears working in your head, as you suck your bottom lip between your teeth, trying to make out what he was trying to imply behind that sweet and soothing tone of his — even through the way he was molding your pretty pussy into the precise shape of his cock, to its tip down to its veins, through the way that he was slowly engraving his name on your brain.
“h-haah ? — what do y-you mean, Ken—”
“I overheard your conversation.”
he wastes little to no time on cutting you off of your words. he lifts your hips a little higher, angling his own to hit even deeper inside of you. to him, him overhearing your conversation was nothing more than a silly excuse to fuck you a little rougher than he usually would. he would never intentionally eavesdrop on any phone call you were having. he couldn’t bite back the chuckle bubbling in his chest as you still looked up at him, dazed and confused — trying to focus on him and his words.
“about you wanting me to go rough.”
he almost wants to laugh at the way your eyes widen, lips parting to say something to defend yourself — but once more, he cuts you off, this time — with a sharp thrust of his hips against yours, watching in amusement and pleasure as your words abruptly turn into a choked moan.
“ ‘m not mad, love.” he reassures gently, leaning forward and pressing a gentle kiss on the top of your forehead, one hand leaving your thighs to move to cup your cheeks, his hold gentle yet firm, a huge contrast to the way the sound of skin slapping quickly filled the room. a sleazy grin tugs the corners of his lips, as he lets out a soft, shaky exhale.
“haah — though I did wish you could’ve told me sooner,” he breathed out gently, slowly finding himself lost in the feeling of your walls wrapped so snugly around him — pulling him in deeper like a drug.
“you d-don’t know how — ugh, long I’ve been wanting to do this.” his eyes take in the pretty sight below him, how your chest heaves and breasts bounce with each harsh thrust. his hand trails down from your chin to your left boob, squeezing it gently.
he snickers at the way your head was tilting to the side slowly, as if you were completely fucked out already — your vision blurry with tears.
“look at me when I’m talking to you, sweetheart.” his hand gently slaps your cheek not once, but twice — gentle but firm enough to get your full attention. “makes me wonder. do you like it when I manhandle you, then?” tilting his head to the side slightly, his slender fingers trail down once more — wrapping around your pretty neck just enough to keep your head in place, pushing it against pillows gently.
“o-oh, yes — Kenyu, right there-!”
his cock hits that gummy spot inside of you which makes you loll your head back, the heel of your feet digging into his back as wanton moans escape your throat.
His brows knit together, soft grunts escaping his throat as he could feel you clench around him. it’s like his first time with you all over again. his hips moved at an inhuman speed — a speed he normally conserved for when he was on the field, whereas his goal would be to score the winning shot, but this time? his goal was to score his load into you as deep as he fucking could.
if his memory was bound to be erased, leaving him with only one choice on which memory he would like to keep, he would definitely choose this one.
shit. he could feel his dick twitching inside of you the more he took in the sight of his fingers wrapped around your throat, tears now streaming down your cheeks as the sound of skin slapping bounces off the walls — his balls hitting against your hole so perfectly. and he’s trying not to shoot his load just yet, because God does he want this moment to last, but with the way your eyes are rolled to the back of your head? it’s proving to be much more difficult then he had originally thought.
it’s almost unfair how pretty you look. a light sheen of sweat coating your body, a few strands of hair sticking to your forehead due to said sweat. how can you expect him to last? this was so much better than his imagination, so so much better than the thoughts his mind would visualize out during those nights where he’d fist his cock tightly to the thoughts of you.
“I-I’m sorry,, Kenyu — d-didn’t mean it that way, I swear —“ you say in between thrusts, struggling to keep your voice loud enough for him to hear properly. you could make out the chuckle escaping his lips, his hand reaching up to tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear.
“now, what’s there to be sorry about, love?” he coos gently,
“If anything, jus’ gives me more of a reason to have your eyes rolling further to the back of your skull.”

"I'll be a good boy."
jake + f¡reader ❤︎
WARNINGS: sub!jake, dom¡reader, making out, begging, dirty talk, sucking him off, grinding, unprotected sex (don't do it stay safe.) jake calls reader mommy. whining and pet names.
Note: Sorry if this sounds rushed in anyway.
this is proofread !!!! (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)
jake has a fever and goes to the doctor for medicine — he gets prescribed with a pill that makes him feel extremely horny and comes to you for help.
Tumblr media
Jake has had a fever for a week or so, and its been getting worse. Eventually he took your advice to go to the doctors — and check out whats wrong. When he got back home at night, your met with a tight back hug which causes you to jump slightly. You didn't even realize Jake got home yet.
Hes always been a bit touchy, but today feels different. when you finally lift your head up to look at his face, he’s blushing profusely, pupils dilated and panting a bit. "sorry... i missed you." he mutters out, "i-i took medicine from the doctor for my fever, but now i feel so weird." he whined.
As soon as you open your mouth to speak, Jake accidentally presses himself against you, your body smooshed on the counter. "Jake...?" he buries his face into the crook of your neck and inhales deeply, letting out a soft, whimper. "mhmm?" he mumbles against your skin, his hands tightening on your waist as he pulls you closer, his hips still grinding slowly against your backside.
"What did the doctors prescribe you with baby?" You breathe out, trying to suppress a moan. he pulls back just slightly, pupils blown wide as he stares intensely into your eyes. a dazed, weak smile curls his lips. "i dunno... feel so fucking loopy. doc said this cold med's potent shit."
"Maybe you need some rest?" his gaze drops to your lips, a shiver running down his spine. his growing bulge twitches against you while he leans in closer, breath ghosting over your mouth. "maybe... but i don't wanna sleep right now." He slightly rocks his hips back and forth against you.
You bite your lower lip, gripping on the counter. "I think it's best if you do. You'll probably feel better—" before you can finish your sentence, jake lets out a whine pitifully, brows furrowed as he stares pleadingly at you, pupils dilating further. "pleeeeease don't leave me. i'm fucking baked, can barely think straight." he grips your shirt, desperate.
"How else are you supposed to get better then?" You say softly as he nuzzles his face against the back of your neck, placing his hands on the counter to cage you in. "i-i dont know..." he whimpers softly, "all i know is i need you to touch me. somewhere, anywhere... please." Your eyes widen when those words slip out of his mouth, unsure what to do.
You want to keep encouraging him to get some rest, because maybe that'd help him have a clear mind. But his pleading eyes and whimpers — its hard to say no.
"Jake i don't know. I really think you just need to sleep this off." he looks at you with wide puppy eyes, frowning. "n-no please, i don't want to.." his hands grip your hips, pulling you against his hardness more, eliciting a small gasp from you. "p-please.. i'll be a good boy i promise.. — i promise."
You give in — the begging too tempting. The next thing you know you find your hand sliding down to grope and rub his bulge, causing a sigh of relief to escape his lips. "mmph.. yeah there baby. touch me there." He gasps out as you trace circles against the fabric, his legs shaking slightly.
His mouth is wide open, watching you stroke his clothed dick. He leans in and presses his lips against yours, arms wrapping around your waist to pull you closer. The kiss is soft and sloppy, his tongue lolling out to lick at your lips. You let out a quiet moan, slipping your hand into his jeans and continuing your gentle strokes.
He gasps against your mouth, his tongue immediately takes advantage of your parted lips, slipping into your mouth to tangle with yours. The kiss is messy, filled with soft moans and gentle nips. Slowly, his hands slide down to grab your ass, pulling you flush against his hardening bulge. "m-mmph... baby, i want..." he whimpers, unable to finish his sentence. "Want what baby? Use your words." he looks into your eyes with lust. "w-want... to be inside you.."
You bite your lower lip, unsure what to do. Jake still has a fever and is way too weak to take charge — usually hes the one to lead, but not today, not when hes sick. This is new to you, though your quite enjoying it.
Tumblr media
"Come," you whisper out, pulling back from Jake. You grab his hand, leading him upstairs to the bedroom. Once you both get inside, the door slams shut. "Sit on the bed," you order, Jake doesn't question and follows you, plopping on the edge of the bed. You make your way over to him, hovering over his lap and he looks up at you, moving his hand up to place on your hip.
You slowly lean down and start leaving trails of wet sloppy kisses down his neck, sucking and biting the skin, leaving a few purple — red marks. He whimpers out, already arching his back, though all your doing is kissing his neck.
The kisses get lower, now down to his chest and stomach before you reach the ground, on your knees. Jake looks down at you and his breath hitches when he sees your eyes darting to his belt, he knows what your about to do and his cock throbs violently against the fabric of his jeans.
"Take them off." You say, he nods and begins to undo his belt with shakey hands. Hes so needy for your touch that he cant even take his belt off properly — hands fondling with it. Once he finally gets it off, he throws it on the floor. His bulge is now clearly outlined in his jeans, a wet spot forming at the tip.
"p-please.." he whines out as your hands reach up to help pull his jeans down along with his boxers, lifting his hips up to help you do so. When his dick finally springs free, you see pre-cum already leaking from the reddish head, twitching slightly. "Please what baby?" a smirk appears on your lips. Your enjoying his begging a bit too much.
Jake bites down on his lower lip, "suck it please." He bucks his hips up slightly. "Ah ah ah," you murmur, his gaze meeting yours. "I said please what? You have to ask nicely." he swallows hard, unsure what you mean, "i-i did... i said please—" you cut him off when your hand wraps around the base of his cock, he lets out a gasp from the sudden touch. "Your forgetting something baby. Whats my name?"
His eyes widen, understanding what you mean. He hesitates for a moment before whimpering out, "m-mommy, please suck my... my dick." His face flushes, looking away embarrassed. This was his first time ever calling you that — but it turns you on.
"Good boy." You give his dick a few strokes before leaning your head down, kitty licking the red tip. He rolls his eyes back, digging his nails into the bedsheets, trying his hardest not to shove his cock down your throat. Your soft lips wrap around the head fully, Jake's head tilting back from the sudden warmth and wetness. You slowly take more and more of his length down your throat, gagging a bit from his big size.
When you begin to slowly bob your head, he lets out a loud moan, bringing his hand down to grab your hair and pull it up into a ponytail so it wasnt in your face. This made you move your head up and down his cock at a faster pace, gripping onto his knees for balance as he fills the room up with his desperate whines and whimpers.
Your mouth stretches to accommodate his size, drool dripping down the sides of your lips. Jake thrusts his hips forward, the tip of his cock hitting the back of your throat, causing you to gag and choke slightly. You moan around his length, sending vibrations through his body, his back arching from the feeling. "fuck mm... im gonna cum." He breathes out heavily before you pull his cock out of your mouth, not wanting him to cum just yet.
"why'd you stop baby?" He frowns before you slowly sit onto his lap, he lets out a gasp when you do so, the fabric of your pants pressing on his exposed cock. "I want you to be inside me before you cum," he bites his lower lip, changing the position by picking you up and laying you down on your stomach, pulling your hips up. "you'll let me fuck you?" He says softly as you nod, grinding your hips up and down against him and pressing your ass firmly on his bare cock. His body stutters when you do so, digging his nails into your hips. "t-thank you mommy... thank you."
Your eyes roll back slightly from his words and movements, He watches you slide your shorts down, poking his tongue against his cheek while you pull your panties aside, giving him better access. He gulps hard, sliding his hard cock partway through your wet folds. He growls softly, "shittt. y-youre so wet baby.." His eyes snap to yours, seeing you toss your hair back and spread your thighs wider. Hes desperate and cant wait any longer so he lines himself up and shoves inside you hard, making you cry out and gasp from the sudden gesture, no warning at all.
"A-ah jake—" He silences you with a deep, hard thrust, his cock hitting your g-spot immediately. He starts pounding into you ruthlessly, not caring about being gentle. "fuck, your pussy is so tight..." He whimpers, seeing your head throw back in pleasure. You arch your back fully against his thrusts, mouth slightly opened. The loud moans spurs him on so he grips your hips harder, spreading your legs wider to get in deeper, your breasts bouncing with his rough thrusts, "m-mm.. feels so fucking good..." your body shakes with each of his movements.
He feels you clenching tightly around his length, knowing youre close. You shove your face into the pillow, muffling your loud moans and screams of pleasures. "J-jake i might... cum—" He hears your words and grabs your hair, pulling your head back while his other hand reaches down to rub your clit roughly. "cum for me... cum on my cock right now."
His words were enough for you to reach your climax. Jakes eyes roll back as he feels your walls tighten around him. He fucks through your orgasm, prolonging it. "fuck, fuck..." He grabs your breasts roughly, continuing to thrust deep inside you. He watches you throw your head back in ecstasy, your pussy still spasming around his cock. He pinches your nipples hard, eliciting another moan.
"f-fuck... you're taking my dick so well. taking every inch mommy..." He keeps pounding into you, feeling his own release building. Your eyes tear up from the roughness and pleasure, biting down on the pillow sheet. With a deep grunt, Jake buries himself deep inside you, his cock twitching violently. "fuck, im cumming..." he gasps, whining out, "im cumming!" He pumps load after load of hot cum deep into your cunt as you let out a loud squeal, your hips shaking violently.
The both of you collapse onto the bed. His eyes drop to your body, seeing his cum leaking out of your pussy. He spreads your legs wider, watching his load trickle down your thighs before slowly pulling out, making you both moan from the loss of contact.
He then gently nuzzles his face into your neck, cuddling you into his arms, "t-thank you mommy, i feel better.." You giggle tiredly at him, out of breath. "I'm glad baby. You should get some rest though, hm?" He nods, hiding his face in your chest, embarrassed.

abby x anxious! virgin! reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
synopsis: abby teaches her an anxiety-ridden virgin girlfriend how to have sex.
cw: NSFW , abby x reader , smut , abby talks you through it , thigh riding , sub! reader , soft dom! abby , afab! reader , dry humping , use of pet names
masterlist
abby's been your girlfriend for a few months now, but you've been putting off having sex with her. solely because of your stupid nerves.
the thought of being naked in front of someone, then hearing your noises and seeing your face and touching your most intimate spots that nobody has reached before. it made you panic just thinking about it.
but abby knew of your fears. she was patient, and she cared about you more than anything on god's green earth.
so when your twice-weekly date came around on a friday night, something felt off. you'd been horny before, and usually you knew how to take care of it, but not quite like this. your legs were tingling and there was an ache where aches shouldn't be.
of course abby, being the observant girlfriend she is, noticed your squirming halfway through the movie the two of you were watching.
"what's wrong, baby?" she asks, looking down at you with a furrowed brow.
"huh? nothing." you respond quickly, crossing your legs and leaning against her shoulder.
abby knew better than to believe you, "you okay? you seem squirmy."
"i'm okay." you respond, a little too quickly. her suspicions only rose because of your soft and nervous tone, "just feel a little weird."
"weird how? you got a stomach ache?"
"no."
"then what–" she stops what she's saying, a shit-eating grin growing on her face, "oh."
you don't respond, biting your bottom lip and unsure what to do. you could sneak away to the bathroom to try to get off on your own. but you know abby has been waiting so patiently for this moment.
"youre horny, yeah?"
your heart sinks in your chest. it took you a moment to realize how she figured it out so quickly. she saw your squirms and the way your thighs flexed every once in a while, trying to create some friction for yourself.
she spreads her thighs apart a bit, creating a perfect manspread. she taps her lap, "come sit. let me take care of it for you."
"abby, i dunno.."
"baby." she says, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear, "i promise i can make you feel so much better than your pillow can. c'mon, sweet pea."
you hesitate, nibbling on your bottom lip. your heart was in your throat, and you were fidgeting with your earlobe. one of your anxious habits.
she tugs your hand away from your ear, kissing your knuckles. she gently tugs you forward into her, "i won't hurt you, sweet girl. c'mon, honey." she guides you by the hips to straddle her lap. she rubs her thumbs up and down the soft plush of your thighs, "let me show you, okay?"
you nod, swallowing the lump in your throat. she takes her shirt off first so that you don't feel embarrassed to do the same. once she's down to her black sports bra she slowly takes yours off too, giving you time to stop her if you wanted.
but you don't, so she keeps going.
once the two of you are both in your underwear, her warm and bulky hands settle on your hips, "you okay?"
you nod, unsure where to put your hands. she notices this and laughs softly, "i'll walk you through it, okay?"
"okay..."
"tell me what you do to your little pillow when you feel like this, baby."
"i.. um.." you struggle to get the words out, your cheeks red from embarrassment, "i put it between my legs."
"hmm.." she hums, "then what?"
"i like.. clamp it there."
she plays with your hair, her entire hand embracing the side of your head, "and it makes you feel good? riding your little pillow?" you nod sheepishly, resting your head on her shoulder, "show me."
"what?"
"i want you to make yourself feel good. i know you wanna." she says, kissing your hairline.
"abby, i dont know how–"
she gives your hips a little squeeze, starting to guide you to grind on her lap. the cloth of her boxers rubs against the sheer fabric of your lacy panties, the feeling alone making you gush. you whimper as you feel yourself getting wetter. you're tempted to get off her lap so she doesn't feel the dampness coming from your cunt. she notices you starting to hover, so she pulls you back down. "don't be embarrassed. i want to see you feel good." she guides your hips to move a bit faster, and you moan in response, "can i touch you?"
you look at her, confused because she's already touching you.
she glances down at your crotch rubbing against her lap, then she looks back up at you, "down there, sweet girl. please, honey. wanna feel how wet you are."
you nod, your nerves starting to dissipate.
she snakes a hand down your stomach, her fingertips sliding into your panties. when the pads of her fingers meet your folds she groans, "oh, baby... you ever been this wet before?"
you shake your head, rubbing yourself against her digits.
"there you go, grind down just like that, mhm."
her words of encouragement make you speed up a little bit. she beams at you, so proud that her girl is finally comfortable enough to let her feel you in such an intimate place.
"gonna go inside, okay?" she says before slipping two of her fingers inside your sopping cunt. you moan at the intrusion, your movements switching from back and forth to up and down.
abby chuckles, kissing your cheek. she's so happy that she can finally see her baby in this light. on her lap, a moaning mess, "you're so pretty, mama."
you smile and open your eyes to look at abby. she pecks your forehead, rubbing tight circles around your swollen bud. you clean around her and she pulls you closer so your chest is flush against hers. she knew you were close before you did, guiding your hips to bounce on her fingers faster.
when you finally come undone you mutter tens of 'thank you's' into her ear. you'd made yourself feel good many times, but you'd never felt quite like this.
"thank you, abby." you whisper to her.
she nods in response, "no need to thank me. next time you feel like that, you come to me, m'kay?"
you hum in agreement, closing your eyes and starting to drift to sleep.

losermatt! gets drunk and jealous!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you guys arrived to a friends party more than 3 hours ago, you were having fun drinking and dancing with your friends but matt? he definitely wasn’t having any fun
when you guys arrived together you accidentally made a joke about fucking chris later in the bathroom, matt got mad without reason and ditched you.
even though it was a joke, matt didn’t liked it, cause he knew both of you were capable to do it and not care a single fuck about him and the worst was that he couldn’t do nothing in that case, like what would he do? tell the girl who’s not even a situationship to not fuck his brother? it’ll be stupid.
you were mindlessly dancing with a your friends, everything cool until one of them touched your shoulder calling your attention “hey I think your boyfriend needs some help” said one of your girlfriends “ which of all of my boyfriends?” You chuckled, your friend pointed across the room to the big couch where matt was sitting, alone, cigarette and a cup with alcohol in one hand as he looked wrecked, he looked like he was either gonna throw up or fall asleep right there
it was an amusing and worrying view, the very few times you’ve seen him drunk he looked normal like if he barely even drank something, he never looked like this and that was the worrying part, why would he get this drunk?
you slipped away from your friends and made your way to where he was sittting
matt was lost in thought until he noticed your presence in front of him, he lazily looked up at you feeling very dizzy “hi matty, u good?” you asked softly and sit in the armrest as you place your hand on his shoulder
“Hm? Mm mhm” he hummed making you giggle “I need words, don’t just ‘mhm’ at me” you said and playfully grabbed his chin and slightly move his face side to side “oh fuck- don’t do that, I’m fine just- fuck give me a sec” he said pulling back and throwing his head back trying to get a good breath, you could tell he was struggling with the whole situation
“you don’t seem fine if im honest, want a water?” you asked as you giggled and gently rubbed his shoulder “I dunno, feel like my head it’s goin’ to explode” he whined slurring his words a bit and locked his gaze with yours, you looked down at him trying to think about what to do with him, you could leave him there and go back with your friends, anyway he wasn’t your boyfriend to be carrying him around like a toddler but he has been taking care of you too when you get wasted.
“Aight… fuck ok let’s go to your car so we-“ you try to suggest but quickly cut off by him
“hell nah I might be drunk but I’m not stupid, you wanna take me to my car so you can take advantage of me and lemme tell you, that ain’t happenin’ cause you surely want a kiss or even more but you know what? Fuck you!, why don’t you go find chris and fuck him?, actually both of you go to my car and have sex there so you guys can have more privacy FUCK YOU BOTH” said Matt slurring his words as he looked at you frustrated, he didn’t even know why he was now talking about this but he just knows that he actually doesn’t mean it, he hates the idea of you and chris together, it’s sickening
you stay in silence for a moment before you chuckle and softly brush the hair out of his forehead “you got it all out?”
he looks away down to his cup and cigarette and bites his inner cheek while he slightly nodded and sighed, he knew he was just talking shit, both of you knew it, yeah the idea of fucking chris was exciting, you could have chris between your legs in less than a second, but you didn’t wanted chris, you wanted matt, even if he was difficult and get on your nerves sometimes, even if after all of these months he hasn’t complement you not even once, you craved him so bad.
matt took a deep breath and dropped the cigarette inside the cup before handing it to you “I’m tired, sorry, just- I dunno I wanna go home but I know I can’t drive and I don’t where is chris and nick” he excused himself in a small muttered voice
“we’ll find them don’t worry, let’s go look for nick first” you said standing up and followed by matt stumbling a bit when he got up but eventually composing himself to walk and find his brothers
After some minutes of searching around the house you guys find them and decided that for matt’s good, they’ll take him home
you four walked outside to the parked car as you helped matt not to fall while walking “u sure now you’re good baby?” you asked softly, in his normal state he would’ve said something like ‘don’t call me that’ or ‘I’m not your baby’ but right now it didn’t sounded that bad in his head, but of course he would never said that out loud
“ im good, just dizzy and my tummy hurts” matt muttered as he let you hold his arm, you carefully open the backseat door and let him get inside “i should take something for the pain or i dunno, I’ll probably puke it and-…you’re not coming with me?” he asks when he notices you lean over to hear him but not getting inside the car
“the party is not done yet” you said and notice matt’s tiny pout and trying to find an excuse for you to go with him
“yeah i know but i-I’m not feeling good” he explained and you pointed at nick and chris in the front seats who could take care of him “your brothers are going to take care of you matt” you chuckled
matts gaze flicked between you and his brothers before talking “but- fuck…nevermind” he mutters with a small hint of upset, poor matt didn’t even knew what he wanted, he was less drunk but he still craved some attention, actually, no, he didn’t wanted attention, he just wanted to know that he’s still your target and not chris, he needed some reassurance that you were just joking and that you’re still obsessed with him and not his brother, why? He doesn’t even know
you stare down at him with a smirk before talking “I’ll go with you…if you give me a kiss…” you mutter and carefully cup his chin
that takes him off guard, he looks up at you like if he was actually starting to consider it, but his pride doesn’t allowed it, if he kisses you he’ll be just like the other guys you play with, he has willpower or that’s what he thinks, he’ll be lying if he’ll say he doesn’t wants to kiss you, he does, but he can’t, the part of him that’s willing to accept probably it’s the drunk part
i’m drunk I’m drunk I’m drunk I’m drunk I’m drunk I’m drunk
it’s what keeps repeating in his mind as he looks deep in your eyes, you were surprised too, you were expecting a immediate ‘no’ but he hasn’t said anything, that means he’s actually thinking it, for once in months he’s actually considering to give in
you grin in success, and matt notices, he knows you know what he’s thinking and that brings him into his normal state
“can’t see me a bit drunk cause you’re already trying to seduce me kid” he mutters with a smirk and softly moving your hand out of his face, you laugh and pull away, it was so close to give in
“I’ll see you tomorrow handsome, bye” you say chuckling and closing the car door as matt rolls down the window “bye bye” he says with a mischievous smirk
“bye chrissy…” you say seductively at chris who’s on the drivers seat, he leans his head to turn and look at you with a smile and wave, chris knew you were doing it just to annoy matt and he played along, “bye ma’ see ya later” he says and very obviously checking you out, he knew you were hot but even tho you and matt were nothing, he’ll never do something like that to him
matts smirk quickly fades away when he sees you jokingly flirting with chris and walking away.
as soon as chris started the car and rolled up the window matt spoked “never call her ‘ma’ again” he says clearly annoyed and making chris and nick giggle a little bit.

My favorite headcanons for caitvi are ones where they met as kids/teens, by far
Tumblr media
Like it's so fucking cute, the idea that Caitlyn would be immediately drawn to Vi due to her curiosity, and Vi can't help but be smitten by Caitlyn's atypical behaviors and willingness to explore new concepts and experiences and ideas.
Just like when they meet as adults in the original universe, their backgrounds should make them incompatible, but there's that inexplicable draw that brings them together.
Imagine Caitlyn tags along with Jayce to his visits in the undercity without telling her parents and can't stop staring at the pink haired girl she sees there at the shop, just hanging around, and they meet eyes, and BOOM, instant connection. Vi also sneaks glances and realizes she's never seen a Piltie girl her age this close before. She wonders if they're all this pretty.
Imagine Vi is sneaking around topside to catch glimpses of Caitlyn, because she feels like she shouldn't be so drawn to a Piltie, but she is anyway.
Imagine one day Caitlyn actually catches sight of Vi across the street as she tries to remain inconspicuous, but Caitlyn would recognize that pink hair in a heartbeat. Imagine she sneaks away from her mother or whoever she's with in order to go talk to her.
"It's you," she says, shy yet bold.
Vi, of course, tries to play it off. "Dunno what you're talking about, topside." But the blush on her cheeks tells another story.
Caitlyn ignores the very obvious attempts at ignorance. "I've been wanting to come visit the shop again, but it's hard for me to find the chance to get away from my mother. She's kind of overprotective."
Vi decides it's best not to play dumb, but can't completely be honest about wanting to see her as well. "You're sure you wanna share about your life with me? Maybe your mom's got a point, shouldn't associate with undercity trash and all."
Caitlyn frowns. "I don't think you're trash. That's silly. Why would you call yourself that?"
Vi is caught a bit off guard. "Isn't that what all you Pilties think of us?"
"I certainly don't." Caitlyn cocks her head as this leaves Vi without a response. "Why are you here, anyway?"
Vi stumbles around in her head for an answer. Shoves her hands in her pockets. Kicks a rock aside. Shrugs. "W-why are YOU talking to me?"
This makes Caitlyn smirk. "I DID say I've been meaning to come back to the shop. What do you think?"
"Dunno. Could want a number of things there." Vi has been staring at the ground but peers up at Caitlyn here. "Give me a hint?" The barest of upturned lips.
This makes Caitlyn break out into a genuine smile that steals Vi's breath a bit. "You're kind of adorable, you know that?"
Vi sputters. "Am NOT."
"Are so." Caitlyn tucks a strand of hair behind her ear. Can't help but think the girl's freckles compliment her blush well.
Vi rolls her eyes, trying to pretend her brain isn't setting off fireworks. "I don't even know your name."
"Would you like to know it?" Caitlyn says, tilting her head.
"Since you insist on teasing me, I think it's fair."
"But you make it so easy," Caitlyn giggles. "Alright. I'm Caitlyn."
"Caitlyn," Vi breathes. Shakes her head. Clears her throat. Thrusts her hand out, scuffed up palms and knuckles and all. "I'm Vi."
"Vi. Pleasure to meet you." Caitlyn takes her hand without hesitation, notices how rough they feel compared to hers, incredibly intrigued.
"Caitlyn!" A voice calls. The girls both turn. It's her mother.
"Shit." Caitlyn breathes.
This makes Vi laugh, surprised. "Didn't know princesses could use words like that."
"Oh, hush." Caitlyn looks back at her, panicked. "I have to go. I'm sorry." Her eyes shift so they're alight with mischief. She jerks her head towards her mom. "You've got a talent for sneaking around, I assume?"
"And if I do?"
"Wait until we're out of sight. Maybe if you're good enough, you can stay under her radar." Caitlyn smirks. "Maybe you could teach me how to sneak about myself. Could come in handy."
Without giving Vi a chance to respond, she turns away, skirt swishing about.
And if Vi does exactly what Caitlyn says, following her home out of sight, and later taps at the same glass doors of the balcony she sees the girl disappear into after a while of spying, no one is the wiser. She figures she doesn't need to tell Vander what she's been up to just yet.

the sound of jingling keys jolts you awake, eyesight blurry as you check your phone. the bright lock screen of satoru holding a bouquet of flowers blinds you slightly.
2:38 am
your senses slowly come to you as you wake up more and more, the sound of what could be an intruder shuffling around in your living room has your heart pounding against your ribs. satoru wasn’t supposed to be home for a couple more days, and no one else has keys to your home. your palms are getting sweatier by the second, satoru voice instructing you on what to do rang in your ears (he was very aware that you were his weakness).
as quietly as you could you scrambled out from under your blanket, grabbing the knife satoru had hidden for you in the closet. you could see the hallway light flicker on as the warm light seeped through the cracks of the door. your grip tightens on the knife, positioning yourself behind the door as you hear them start twisting the handle.
there’s not a second of hesitation as the door opens slowly and you plunge the knife into the intruder’s abdomen, letting out a small squeak when you’re met with familiar blue eyes.
“toru?” you yell, hand still on the handle of the knife, plunged into his side.
“hello sweetheart” he coughs out, a charmed smile on his face as his eyes meet your petrified ones, “could’ve just said you didn’t want me home” he pouts softly, unphased by the knife still in his body.
your mouth opens and closes, frozen in position and satoru can’t help but feel a little bad for scaring you. he doesn’t mind the stinging in his side, thrusting the blade a bit deeper just to place a kiss to your forehead.
“satoru the knife!” you gasp, pulling it out and causing satoru to wheeze a little, stumbling as he puts his hand over his wound, healing it over in a matter of moments.
“that’s one way to be welcomed home early by your lover” he smiles, finally setting his bag down and engulfing you in his much larger frame.
“I’m so sorry i can’t believe i fucking stabbed you” you cry out, face hot as you hold your lover closer, “you couldn’t have sent a text or something?” you mumble against his chest, squeezing him tightly and placing a gentle kiss against his jaw. satoru pouts down at you, huffing softly.
“wouldn’t have been a surprise then,” you can’t help but roll your eyes at him, holding him closer, “i missed you so much, dunno who i thought i was saying id be gone for so long” he shakes his head, finally unwrapping his arms from you.
there’s a beat of silence as he’s staring down at you, a cheeky smile on his face before he turns to turn the restroom light on.
“what?” you ask, already under your blanket as you watch him shake his head, his lips fighting back a smile.
“nothing, nothing” he grins, a soft chuckle escaping his lips before clearing his throat.
“you can’t give me that look and then say nothing! you have to tell me now you demand, satoru just about melts at the small huff you let out, enamored by the way you practically teleported to his side to pry information from him.
“it’s just you had a really weak stab” he giggles, “like, pathetically weak” satoru can’t help but burst into laughter at your look of offense when the words land on your ears.
“well excuse me i don’t go around practicing my stabbing skills!” you scoff, shoving him softly and crossing your arms across your chest, “in my defense i had just woken up” you grumble, turning your back to him and heading back to bed.
satoru takes a moment, admiring you before pushing off the counter and pulling you into him by your waist, “maybe it wasn’t weak, I’m just too strong hm?” there’s a cocky smirk on his face that you hate to love, making your breath hitch in your throat as you agree with his statement.
“now go shower you stink” satoru grins, placing a messy kiss to your lips before speaking up.
“you gonna stab me again if i don’t?”

₊˚ˑ༄ؘ late night confessions
Tumblr media
synopsis: after confessing how you've never had any of your firsts, frat boy!caleb is there to listen (and help  ¬ᴗ¬) but he also has something to confess aswell?
tw: MDNI +18, p in v (use protection), virginity loss, fingering, cummin inside, oral, squirting, teases a bit, caleb is a bit of a groaner, your pleasure comes first!!
author's note: hihi lovelies! so sorry i took awhile to post, life has been busy. i wanted to make something extra long because i will continue to be busy these next few weeks so i dont know when i'll be able to post but thank you so much for the love on held close, it was my best work and i wanted to capture the essence on how caleb is hehe. happy reading!
Tumblr media
this wasn’t unusual. you and caleb always ended up like this after nights out. he might be the life of the party, but he never let you walk home alone. not when he could just let you crash here, giving the two of you privacy while his roommate was away.
he took a sip from his water bottle, tilting his head to the side as he studied you. “you looked miserable down there,” he said, a smirk tugging at his lips. “don’t tell me you’re finally admitting frat parties aren’t your thing.”
you rolled your eyes. “they never were.” you take a sip from your water bottle that caleb handed to you.
he chuckled, setting the bottle on the nightstand. “then why’d you come? you know i wouldn’t have invited you if it meant you would feel terrible.”
you hesitated, tracing patterns on his blanket. “i dunno. just figured…well it’s college. i should probably try to enjoy it like everyone else.”
caleb hummed like he didn’t quite believe you. “uhuh and did you?”
you shot him a dry look. “i spent half the night dodging drunk guys who couldn’t take a hint, so what do you think?”
his smirk faded. “who?”
“relax, nothing happened,” you said quickly. “but that’s kind of the problem, isn’t it?”
caleb frowned, pushing himself up so he was properly sitting. “what do you mean?”
you let out a slow breath, you looked down at the floor. “i just… i feel like i’m behind.”
“behind what?”
“everything,” you admitted. “i’ve never had a real boyfriend. never had my first kiss, never-” you paused, suddenly regretting saying anything at all. “never mind. it’s stupid.” you dismiss your comment with a slight chuckle.
caleb was quiet for a moment. when you finally glanced up at him, you expected teasing, maybe some cocky remark about how he could “fix that” if you wanted.
but he just looked… thoughtful.
“that’s not stupid pipsqueak” he said finally. his voice was quieter now, more serious.
you sighed. “come on, caleb. you..you’ve lived. you’ve had hookups, flings, relationships or whatever you call them and i’ve had nothing.”
he gets closer and sits next to you on his bed, keeping his gaze. “and? why does that matter?”
“because,” you huffed, frustrated. “people expect you to have certain experiences by a certain age, and i just… haven’t.”
caleb’s brows furrowed. “who the hell cares what ‘people’ expect?”
you bit your lip, shrugging. “it’s just embarrassing sometimes. i feel like i’m missing out.”
he was watching you closely now, something unreadable in his gaze. “you’re not missing out on anything, pipsqueak,” he murmured.
your stomach flipped at the nickname, but you ignored it. “easy for you to say. you’ve had all your firsts.”
caleb froze but leaned closer, something like a smirk tugging at his lips, but it wasn’t cocky this time. he cups your cheek. “yeah? and you wanna know something?”
you hesitated before nodding.
“they were forgettable.”
that caught you off guard. “what?”
he exhaled, running a hand through his hair. “i mean… there were moments. but i could never look them in the eye. i just couldn’t..” his fingers curled into the fabric of his hoodie, gaze flickering away. i always made sure i wasn’t facing them, like if i did, it’d make it real and something in me would just freeze.”
he let out a short, almost self-deprecating laugh. “like some part of me knew it wasn’t supposed to be with them or other times i would call them the wrong name.. and it would be the same name every. single. time” his jaw tightens, now his gaze never left yours.
your stomach twisted. “caleb…”
he shook his head, forcing a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. he ruffles your hair. “you’re not behind, pipsqueak. you’re just waiting for it to actually matter.”
your breath caught. “you’ve never…?”
he shook his head once, a small, almost embarrassed smile tugging at his lips. “not in the way you think.”
the room felt smaller somehow, the space between you charged with something unsaid.
“you don’t regret that?” you asked quietly.
he hesitated, he huffs. “i think i’d regret it more if i gave my firsts to someone who actually meant something… and they didn’t feel the same.”
your heart stuttered in your chest, the weight of his words pressing down on you. but before you could say anything, caleb just gave you a lazy, lopsided smile, like he hadn’t just dropped a big piece of his life on you. he grazed your cheek, his touch lingering for just a second too long.
“don’t stress about it, okay?” he murmured. “your firsts should be with someone you want them with. not just someone convenient.”
a heavy silence settled between you, but your mind was spinning now, turning over every moment, every lingering touch, every look he had given you that you never understood, until now.
“all those girls,” you said hesitantly, your voice quieter now. “the ones you’ve been with… did none of them ever mean anything?”
caleb stiffened, his jaw tightening. he looked away, exhaling sharply through his nose like he was debating whether to tell you the truth.
then he muttered, almost too low for you to hear. “none of them were you.” he finally admitted.
you felt your cheeks heat up by the sudden change in tone.
he scoffed at himself, scratching the back of his head. “it’s silly, huh? i’d go out, find someone who-” he let out a humorless laugh. “someone who looked just enough like you if i squinted. your hair and that same kind of smile that i adore too much. sometimes they even smelled like your vanilla perfume.”
you stared at him, your heart beating against your ribs.
he shook his head, laughing bitterly. “and for a while, it worked. i’d close my eyes and pretend it was you. just for a little bit.” his voice dropped lower, ashamed. “but then it’d be over, and i’d wake up, and it wasn’t. and i’d hate myself for it.”
you swallowed hard. “caleb…”
his eyes met yours again, and for once, there was no smirk, no teasing glint. just raw honesty.
“but that didn’t stop me,” he admitted. “because i thought..heh i convinced myself..i’d never actually have you. and if I couldn’t, then what was the harm in pretending?”
a heavy silence settled between you. your chest ached, not just for him, but for yourself, for all the moments you never realized he was looking at you like that. the only thing that echoed now was the faint music from the speakers coming from the party downstairs.
“…and now?” you whispered.
caleb exhaled, something almost resigned in his expression. “and now i don’t even wanna pretend anymore.”
“you don’t…have too..” you whispered as both of your faces were mere inches from each other. a quiet breath came first followed by caleb looking down at your lips before he traced his hand down your chin. then, caleb kissed you.
he was slow at first but hesitant, as if he was still trying to convince himself this was real. his hand slid to cup the back of your neck, pulling you in deeper. he places your back on his bed, the weight of him settling over you while fighting for dominance with his tongue.
he kissed you like he was making up for every stolen glance, every moment spent pretending. his tongue brushed against yours, coaxing, claiming, demanding in a way that sent heat pooling in your stomach.
then he slowed, breathing heavy as he pulled back just enough for his forehead to rest against yours. his thumb traced your jaw, his voice barely above a whisper.
"tell me to stop," he said, but his voice wavered, like he was terrified of what he’d do if you actually did.
you swallowed hard, your hands turned to knuckles."i don’t want you to."
a sharp exhale, like he had been holding his breath. his lips ghosted over yours, his grip tightening ever so slightly. his breath hot over your lips "then tell me…" his voice was desperate. "tell me that whatever happens next, you won’t regret it." he grabs your hand to kiss it before looking into your eyes once more awaiting your answer. “i want to be your first.” his puppy eyes now settling upon you.
you lifted that same hand, brushing your fingers through his hair. “caleb,” you whispered, soft but certain. “i could never regret you. i want this more than you could ever know.”
with a warm smile, he kissed you again, harder this time, more sure of himself. his hand slid down your waist, grounding himself in the feeling of you beneath him.
his hand traced the curve of your cheek before trailing lower, his lips followed.
he dove into your neck, attacking you with nibbles. what started as slow, lingering kisses turned into teasing bites that sent a shiver down your spine. his teeth grazed over your skin before his tongue followed, soothing the marks he was leaving behind. your clear skin was now painted with his touch, evidence of his undying love for you. he thought, what could be just a one-night fling to you, felt like more than everything to him. if what was happening now was just for one night, he was determined to make this into a memory that was worth to keep him going.
he trails a free hand to the base of your skirt, tugging on the zipper while his lips stay latched on your neck. with a sudden “zzzip” filling the room, he continues his path, guiding his hand lower and successfully reaching inside your underwear. you felt shivers down your spine as caleb rolls circles on your clit, sending a gasp out of you.
you grip at his shoulder, feeling the fabric of his jacket wrinkle under your grasp. you didn’t know how to comprehend the amount of pleasure he was giving you. moans started to escape your lips as caleb continued to caress your clit, his every touch left you almost breathless but wanting more. your body started to tense up, an unknown feeling that only escalated your arousal.
caleb let out a low chuckle before trailing a series of soft, lingering kisses along your lips. just as you try to keep up with your breath, he captured your mouth again, tilting your head to deepen the kiss, his touch both teasing and possessive. his tongue slipped past your parted lips, prying your mouth open as he explored you further, muffling your shaky moans with an intense and consuming kiss.
“this feels s-so good..” you managed to whisper in between kisses, your body responding to every relentless touch. caleb still not losing his rhythm on your clit, his lips never leaving yours as he pulled back just enough to smile.
"i'm glad..because I won’t be stopping anytime soon," he said, his voice low and teasing.
his words sent a thrill through you, a mixture of excitement and anticipation pooling in your stomach. the more he kept playing with your clit, the more this..unknown sensation was rising inside you and he didn’t want him to stop.
pulling his fingers away, you immediately missed the feeling, a whimper catching in your throat. before you could make a fuss on the loss, caleb dipped his head down, his breath warm against your skirt, nearing your cunt. you sucked in a shaky breath, trying to regain some semblance of control. your eyes, heavy-lidded and hazy with pleasure, flickered to the window. the stars had never looked so bright, distant, shimmering, and endless, just like the party still going on downstairs.
his hands found your hips, thumbs pressing into your hip bones in a slow, soothing motion before he hooked his fingers into your skirt. with a smooth tug, he slid it down, taking your underwear along with it, leaving you bare beneath him. caleb glanced up, his eyes smoldering as he murmured, "after tonight, i promise..this is all you'll ever think about."
before you could even form a response, he lifted one of your legs over his shoulder, keeping you open for him. then, without warning, his mouth descended on your exposed pussy.
the first swipe of his tongue was slow, deliberate, as if he wanted to savor you, to let the taste of you settle on his tongue. but that restraint didn't last long. his groan vibrated against your core, low and needy, like he was already losing himself. his hands gripped your thighs tighter, fingers pressing into your flesh like he needed something to ground himself. but even then, he was slipping, unraveling with every lick, every sound you made.
his tongue moved with an eager desperation, tracing over your folds, as if he was memorizing the way you felt against his tongue. he devoured you like a man starved, each groan growing rougher, throatier, as his self-control decreased. his movements became sloppier, greedier. his lips sealing around you, sucking just to hear you gasp, his tongue lapping up every drop like he couldn’t get enough.
when he pulled back just slightly, his lips glistening, his breath ragged, his pupils were blown wide, almost black with hunger.
"fuck..." he exhaled, his voice rawly thick. his grip on your thighs tightened for just a second before he dove back in, dragging another long, almost desperate lick through your folds, like he had lost all sense of anything else but you.
your fingers tangled in his mullet without thinking, pulling him closer as your hips rocked against his tongue, chasing every wave of pleasure he gave you. the heat pooling in your stomach burned hotter with each flick of his tongue, each hungry suck that left you trembling beneath him.
"caleb—" his name slipped out in a breathless moan before you slapped a hand over your mouth, trying to stifle the sounds spilling from your lips. "that feels… s-so good," you mumbled against your palm, your voice barely holding together.
but caleb wasn’t having that.
still buried between your thighs, he hummed against you, a deep, satisfied sound that sent vibrations straight through your core. without pausing, he reached up, his fingers wrapping around your wrist, pulling your hand away from your lips. he laced his fingers with yours, his grip firm, grounding.
his lips curled into a smirk against you before he murmured, voice thick with want, "you don’t have to hold back. be as loud as you want… i’m right here."
he pushes you back, pinning you against the bed with ease, his face still hovering over your pussy.
"caleb, i…ah!"
a sharp cry cuts off your words as his fingers sink into you, stretching you open inch by inch. the sudden fullness sends a jolt of pleasure through you, making your body arch into his touch. before you can even catch your breath, his tongue joins the mix, dragging along your folds with a slow, deliberate lick that has your thighs trembling.
"you taste so sweet…" he groans against you, his voice dripping with hunger. "i could do this all night..all day even", he chuckles.
your slick coats his fingers as he pumps them in and out, the pace teasingly slow, as if he’s memorizing every reaction, every little sound you make. your whimpers fuel him, a spark igniting in his chest as he watches you come undone beneath him.
then, he curls his fingers just right-
your back lifts off the bed, a choked moan escaping your lips as your body tenses. his smirk deepens, dark and knowing. he’s found it.
"there it is," he murmurs, his voice dripping with satisfaction. he doesn’t waste a second. his fingers pick up speed, thrusting deeper, pressing against that same spot over and over again. every movement is deliberate, every stroke meant to unravel you. the room fills with the slick sounds of his fingers working inside you, the wet heat of his mouth still teasing your clit, and the way your moans spill out, growing louder with every calculated thrust.
caleb hums against you, his own pleasure building just from watching you come apart. "that’s it… let me hear you."
your grip on his hand tightened, fingers trembling as your body squirmed beneath him. a desperate whimper escaped your lips.
“c-caleb… i—ah… i think i’m close,” you gasped, your voice breathless, barely above a whisper.
his response was immediate, “come for me, princess… i’m right here.”
a shiver ran down your spine as his words alone sent you teetering on the edge. your back arched, muscles tensing as pleasure coiled tight in your core. caleb didn’t stop, his touch was relentless, his tongue and fingers working in perfect sync, dragging you through wave after wave of ecstasy.
your release crashed over you, sending you spiraling. a gasp came from your throat as warm liquid flooded through you, coating his face and fingers soon part of the liquid dripped down to the bed. caleb groaned against you, savoring every moment, every sound, every taste. he pulled away only to lick his lips, eyes dark with satisfaction as his thumb traced soft circles on your inner thigh.
“that’s my good girl,” he murmured, his voice dripping with praise, a smirk tugging at his lips. even now, with your body spent and breath uneven, the hunger in his gaze told you..he wasn’t done with you yet.
he wastes no time before hovering over you, caging you beneath him. his fingers fumble slightly as he works at the buttons of your top, eager yet unsteady. one by one, they come undone, revealing more of your skin to his hungry gaze. his pupils darken, widening with sheer desperation. he had imagined this moment countless times, but nothing compared to the reality of seeing you like this.
“you’re even more stunning than i imagined,” he breathes, voice thick with longing. the last of the buttons popped off and you help him as he gently swifts it off your shoulders, putting it to the side. there’s no hesitation in his movements as he expertly unclasps your bra with a single hand, discarding it just as quickly.
for a moment, he simply stares, enamored, breath hitching as if he doesn’t know where to begin. but desire overtakes him, and he dips his head, capturing one of your sensitive buds between his lips. the moment his mouth latches on, he sucks greedily, the same feeling he had between your thighs now channeled into worshipping every inch of you. he makes sure to give the other breast the same attention, his fingers kneading your soft flesh while his mouth continues its worship. caleb was always the type to ensure you were taken care of, and this was no different. his touch was deliberate, yet dripping with desire.
your whimpers slip past your lips, each sound fueling him further as he overwhelms you with sensation after sensation. his tongue flicks and rolls, alternating between slow, teasing swirls and desperate, heated sucks, never giving you a moment to recover. every movement was a silent promise. he wasn’t stopping until you were completely undone beneath him.
eventually pulling his lips away from your breasts, his breaths were ragged, heavy with restraint as his fingers made quick work of his belt. “you have no idea what you do to me,” he murmured, the sharp clink of metal echoed in the room, followed by the unmistakable sound of a zipper being dragged down.
his hands trembled slightly, whether from excitement or the sheer need to feel you, you weren’t sure. but the moment his pants hit the floor, he wasted no time. he leaned back over you, the heat of his body radiating against your skin as he traced a hand along your thigh, his touch very  worshipping. he releases his erection from his boxers and he was big. his tip glistened with pre-cum. he guided his cock before your pussy.
“i’ll go slow, i promise” he breathed out, using your slick to coat himself. he aligned himself with your entrance, teasing you with the tip before slowly pushing in, letting you take him inch by inch.
a groan ripped from his throat as your walls wrapped around him, his fingers digging into your hips as he tried to steady himself. his head fell forward, his breath hot against your shoulder. "fuck," he rasped, voice shaking. "you're—you're squeezing me so tight." he shakily pumps in you slowly.
"c-caleb," you whimpered, voice breaking as you tried to adjust. "you're so… big—"
his grip on you tightened, his chest rising and falling in heavy pants. "god… you feel too good," he nearly whimpered, his voice filled with desperation. his body trembled, pressing his forehead against yours as he fought for control.
“if you keep squeezing me like that,” he murmured, his voice husky and uneven, “i don’t think i can go slow.”
you swallowed hard, your walls fluttering around him at his words. “please… don’t,” you whispered, meeting his half-lidded gaze with your own. "i want to feel all of you." you tugged at his jacket, it being the only clothing left on between the two of you. you slipped your hands beneath the fabric, pushing his jacket off his shoulders before sliding it down his arms, letting it fall carelessly to the floor along with your clothes. you guided your hands on his chest, feeling every muscle he had. you were used to seeing caleb shirtless but tonight, it was in a different light that only increased your arousal.
once he was halfway in, his breathing started to become heavy as he studied your face for any sign of discomfort. “alright..” he hums, his thumb stroked gentle circles on your hip. “but tell me if it’s too much,” he whispered.
your nails dug into his shoulders, your body desperate for more despite the slow burn. “keep going,” you urged, your voice breathless and cheeks flushed.
caleb let out a shuddered exhale before pushing deeper, groaning as he finally bottomed out inside you. he buried his face in the crook of your neck, overwhelmed by the warmth embracing him so perfectly. his body trembled to move at a pace that wouldn’t break you, despite the way your walls clenched around him.
your moans became louder as caleb continues to fill you, his hair becoming a bird's nest under your fingers. “c-caleb..more” you bit your lip, scratch marks forming on his back the more you cling onto him. “hhhg…i need more” you pleaded. a smirk tugged at the corner of his lips before he captured your mouth in a searing kiss, his restraint finally snapping as he began to move in a quicker pace, rocking into you with deep, measured thrusts that left you gasping.
caleb groaned against your lips before pulling away, his hands gripping your thighs as he adjusted his position, sliding his hands under your legs before lifting them onto his shoulders. the shift made you gasp, the deeper angle sending a shiver through your entire body. the perfect angle he knows to get you into a mess. he leaned forward, pressing your knees closer to your chest, trapping you beneath him.
"c-caleb—" you choked out as he pushed back in, deeper than before, the sensation overwhelming his grip on your thighs tightened as he adjusted, his thrusts being so deep, hitting that sensitive spot inside you with precision. every roll of his hips that kissed your g-spot sent sparks of pleasure shooting through your body, your moans growing louder with each push and pull.
caleb’s breathing was ragged, his control unraveling as he watched you writhe beneath him. "look at you," he murmured, his voice dripping with admiration. "so beautiful like this..so perfect for me." he places a kiss on your calf.
you reached for him, hands on his chest to gesture him to slow down. something was building up in your core. sounds of skin slapping filled the room. "i’m-..so cl..close caleb.."
"i know," he cut in, voice strained as he instead quickened his pace, wanting your release to fall through for him and by him. "give it to me... please let me feel you.."
with a final, deep thrust, he angled himself just right, sending you over the edge with a cry, your body tightening around him as a warm liquid gushed out of you. the liquid coated on caleb’s cock and inner thighs. witnessing this, caleb groaned loudly, his hips stuttering as he came completely undone by the way you pulsed around him. his movements grew more erratic as he felt your walls clamp down around him. the grip on your thighs tightened, as he tried to hold himself together.
"good girl.." he panted, his mind still onto the sounds and the expressions of you coming undone before him. he continued thrusting, now chasing his high. after a while, caleb announces “i’m ugg.. gonna..” his body comes to a stop as he releases his seed inside of you, coating your walls.
the world around you both seemed to have stopped, nothing but the feeling of him filled your mind. caleb's weight sank into you as he rested his forehead on your shoulder, trying to catch his breath.
a small smile curled at your lips as you traced your fingers through his damp hair, feeling his body twitch slightly against yours. "that was…" you trailed off, still breathless, your mind hazy from the intensity of it all.
caleb let out a weak chuckle, pressing a soft kiss against your collarbone before pulling back just enough to meet your gaze. his purple-pinkish eyes, still heavy with satisfaction, softened as he took you in. "yeah," he murmured, brushing his knuckles along your cheek. "it was."
he slowly pulled out of you, making sure to be gentle as he settled beside you, pulling you into his arms without hesitation. his hands roamed over your bare skin, his eyes full of adoration. caleb reached for the blanket, pulling it over you both, carefully covering you up as if protecting the moment, his moment. he held you close, his breathing still getting adjusted for his body to fit around yours.
you cleared your throat, lifting your head to face him.
“hey,” you started softly, your voice a little unsure. “earlier… when i said i felt like i was behind, that I hadn’t had any of those firsts… i still feel that way sometimes. even now.”
caleb’s gaze softened, and he shifted, lifting his head to look down at you. his hand gently cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing over your skin in a quiet gesture. “you’re not behind, pipsqueak,” he murmured, tender now. “everyone’s timeline is different. and whatever you haven’t experienced yet? i’m not going anywhere. i’ll be right here, whenever you’re ready for all of it.”
a smile tugged at your lips, his words comforting you. “i know. i guess i just needed to hear that.”
caleb’s smile was soft, his eyes full of warmth. he pulled you closer, holding you a little tighter. “it’s not about what everyone else does or what they think. it’s about what feels right for you. don’t ever feel like you’re missing out, because with me… you’ll always have all the time you need.”
you let out a contented sigh, your hand resting on his chest. “thanks caleb,” you whispered. “i’m glad i have you here.”
he kissed the top of your head, his voice with reassurance. “i’ll always be here, pipsqueak.” you begun to doze off, leaving the memory of the night you and caleb in your head. he was right, this is all you’ll ever think about. “goodnight, pipsqueak,” caleb whispered softly, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. you didn’t have the energy to respond, the last of your thoughts dissolving into peaceful sleep.
caleb smiled down at you, his heart swelling with affection. his hand came up to brush a stray lock of hair from your face, his gaze lingering on you with a tenderness that he had always felt for you before. you looked so peaceful, so content, and he could hardly believe you were in his arms, trusting and letting him help with one of your doubts could easily fill him for the rest of his life.
he watched you for a while, tracing the outline of your face with his eyes as you slept, aware of the way his heart beat faster with each passing second. with each second having him fall more and more in love with you. caleb smirked to himself, imagining the questions that would come once gideon finds you sleeping in caleb’s bed. he let out a contented sigh, looking down at your sleeping form. “let him ask. i won’t let out a peep” he muttered.
not that gideon would believe any excuse, anyway. caleb could say you had a nightmare, that you tripped and conveniently landed in his bed, or that aliens abducted every other available sleeping surface but gideon would just wag his eyebrows and call it bluffing.
whatever. let him talk. let him annoy the hell out of him. caleb didn’t care.
all that mattered was the pretty girl curled up in his arms, fast asleep because for the first time in a long time, caleb was exactly where he wanted to be. and nothing else mattered.

Oneshot: Logan being touch starved but never admit it
Tumblr media
Logan is touch-starved—always has been, always will be. He’d never say it out loud, wouldn’t even entertain the thought, but you can always catch it in the smallest gestures.
He’d never ask you to lay on top of him, curled up in his arms. Never said those words in that order before. But once you’re there, he won’t let you go. His arm stays locked around your back, firm, unmoving. Try to shift, and he grumbles low—“Where you goin’?” or “Nah, not done yet.” Like it’s nothing. Like he doesn’t need this.
Sometimes, he won’t let you up for reasons that only make sense to him—like if someone’s knocking on the door. But if you need water or a bathroom break? That, he allows.
You’d been watching some show for hours when Logan finally came home. He didn’t say anything, just sank onto the couch beside you, wearing nothing but his white tank top and jeans. The scent of cigar smoke and leather clung to him, familiar and grounding. His thigh pressed against yours as he settled in.
He glanced at you briefly, then back at the screen, fingers twitching against his knee.
"You alright?" you asked, biting back a knowing smile.
"Yeah," he hummed, flicking his gaze to you again before shifting slightly. Slowly, his left arm lifted to rest along the back of the couch—an invitation. A silent request.
Normally, you’d give in without hesitation, but tonight, you felt like making him work for it.
"How was the meeting?" you asked, feigning obliviousness as you kept your attention on the screen.
"Long. Exhaustin’." His voice was rough, but you caught the flicker of impatience in his tone.
"Aww I'm sorry to hear that." You said in faux empathy.
His fingers found the hem of your T-shirt, idly toying with the fabric, tugging just enough to be noticeable.
"You like my shirt?" you teased.
Logan huffed, his fingers tightening ever so slightly. "Stop messin’ with me."
Oh, the look on his face—priceless. You burst into laughter, and his frown deepened.
"What’s so funny?"
"I just think it’s cute that you want to cuddle. Just ask, Logan." You nudged him playfully.
His smirk was slow, deliberate. "Dunno what you’re talkin’ about. I don’t cuddle."
"Oh, really?" You turned to face him, eyes glinting with mischief. "So if I just do this…"
With a playful push, you sent him backward until his head hit the armrest. Before he could protest, you climbed on top of him, pressing your ear against his chest, where his heartbeat thudded steady and strong.
"You wouldn’t mind, right? Since you don’t cuddle," you teased, grinning.
Logan exhaled deeply, his hand slipping beneath your shirt, cool palm pressing flat against your back, fingers splayed as if grounding himself. His breath ruffled your hair, and when he spoke, his voice was a low rumble against your cheek.
"Guess I can tolerate it."
You tried to focus on the TV, but the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath you made it impossible. His arm tightened, just enough to keep you there—his personal human blanket, small against him, yet somehow the only thing holding him together.
Minutes passed, the room sinking into an easy, quiet warmth. Logan's breathing slowed, the tension in his body melting bit by bit as he relaxed beneath you. His other hand found your side, fingers tracing absent patterns against your ribs, lazy and unhurried.
"You’re warm," he muttered, half into your hair, voice thick with exhaustion.
"You’re comfy," you murmured back, smiling as you closed your eyes.
His chest vibrated with something close to a chuckle, but he said nothing. Just held you, hands never still, always lingering—at your back, your side, your hip, like he needed constant proof you were there.
And, well… you weren’t about to go anywhere. Not when he clung to you like a lifeline, like you were the only force keeping him steady in this world.
His gravity.

chapter summary: You own a small bakery in Westchester. One day, Logan comes in for an order for the X-Mansion. After that he becomes a regular—something he persistently denies.
word count: 9.5k+
pairing: Logan Howlett x fem!reader
notes: i'm a sucker for baker!reader and logan. though this version of reader is a little bit more extroverted and less 'innocent' than the other baker!reader's i've seen. anyways, this is my entry for @yxtkiwiyxt and @lubdubology's valentine's writing challenge!
i'm not a valentine's girly, maybe because i just find it to be a commercial holiday with no meaning (or maybe because i'm 20 and my only valentine has been my dogs) but i hate chocolate and the holiday so...
warnings/tags: baker!reader, fluff, wrote this with x2 logan in mind, but you can imagine any logan, not proofread

Anytime the X-Mansion had a special occasion, they got baked goods from your bakery—a small shop in Westchester.
The first time Logan met you was by accident, or rather an order given to him by Jean. “It’s Rogue’s birthday. You don’t want her to miss out on havin’ a cake, do ya?”
Logan grumbled under his breath but didn’t argue. He wasn’t in the mood for errands, but Jean had a way of making things sound like a guilt trip, and he wasn’t about to deal with that all day. So, here he was, pushing open the door to some small bakery he’d never been to before. The smell of sugar and vanilla hit him immediately, warm and inviting, but he didn’t care about that—he just wanted to get the cake and get out.
The place wasn’t busy, just a couple of customers sitting at tables, sipping coffee. He stepped up to the counter, glancing at the display case full of pastries, then tapped the little bell once. A moment later, you stepped out from the back, wiping your hands on your apron.
“Hey, sorry about that—oh.” Your eyes flicked up, and you did a quick once-over, taking in the broad-shouldered, grumpy-looking man standing at your counter. “You’re definitely not Jean.”
“Yeah, no kiddin’.” Logan exhaled, already regretting this. “She sent me to pick up a cake for Rogue.”
“Right. The X-Mansion order.” You nodded, disappearing into the back. “Give me a sec.”
Logan drummed his fingers against the counter, glancing around. The place was small but homey, shelves lined with small bags of cookies, muffins, and whatever else people liked to buy on impulse. It smelled good—annoyingly good.
You came back out a few moments later, balancing a cake box in your hands. “Here it is. Vanilla with chocolate frosting, right?”
“Beats me. Jean just said ‘get the damn cake.’”
You huffed a short laugh, setting it down and ringing it up. “Well, let’s hope she ordered what Rogue actually likes.” You gave him a once-over again, tilting your head slightly. “You new around here? Don’t think I’ve seen you before.”
Logan pulled out his wallet, shaking his head. “Been stayin’ at the mansion a while now. Just don’t do bakery runs.”
“Shame. You seem like the type to appreciate a good cinnamon roll.”
He gave you a flat look. “Dunno what that means.”
“It means you’re a grumpy bastard, and grumpy bastards usually like cinnamon rolls.” You smirked, sliding the cake box toward him. “I have a self-proclaimed ability to guess what people like. You’re either cinnamon roll or an apple pie.”
Logan huffed, eyeing you like he couldn’t decide if you were messing with him or just plain strange. “That so?”
“Mm-hmm.” You leaned on the counter, clearly entertained by his skepticism. “And my guesses are usually spot-on.”
Logan crossed his arms. “What if I don’t like either?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Then you’re just lying to yourself.”
He exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “This what you do? Size people up based on pastries?”
“Works better than you’d think.” You tapped the counter lightly. “So, which one is it? Cinnamon roll or apple pie?”
Logan gave you a flat look, then sighed. “Pie.”
You grinned like you’d just won a bet. “Knew it.”
“Tch. Lucky guess.” He grabbed the cake box and turned toward the door, already done with this conversation.
“Uh-huh, sure.” You leaned on the counter, watching him. “Come back when you’re not on a mission, and I’ll prove it.”
He paused, just for a second, then shook his head and walked out. The bell over the door chimed behind him.
“See you later, sugar,” you called after him.
He didn’t look back, but you swore you saw the faintest twitch of amusement before the door swung shut.
---
It had been a few months since the last time Logan had been over to your bakery. Then Scott and Ororo cornered him, telling him that “it was the least he could do for Jubilee.”
“I’m not goin’ to the damn bakery again.” Logan said, crossing his arms over his chest.
Scott sighed, unimpressed. “Logan, come on. It’s just a cake.”
“You say that like it’s a quick in-and-out job,” Logan grumbled. “Last time I went, I got roped into some damn conversation about cinnamon rolls.”
Ororo raised an eyebrow. “And that was… a problem?”
“Yes.”
Scott and Ororo exchanged a look.
“Look, Jean’s busy, and we’re in the middle of planning the party,” Scott said, folding his arms. “All you have to do is pick up the order. That’s it. No small talk, no distractions.”
Logan exhaled sharply. “Fine.”
“That wasn’t so hard, was it?” Scott smirked.
Logan ignored him, grabbed his jacket, and headed out.
---
The bakery smelled just as annoyingly good as last time. Logan stepped inside, tapping the bell on the counter once, hoping you wouldn’t be as chatty this time.
You appeared from the back, wiping your hands on your apron before looking up. The second you saw him, a slow grin spread across your face.
“Well, well. Thought I scared you off for good.”
Logan sighed. “M’just here for the cake.”
“Uh-huh.” You grabbed the order slip from the counter. “Jubilee’s birthday, right?”
He gave a short nod.
You disappeared into the back, and Logan leaned against the counter, arms crossed. The place wasn’t too busy, just a few customers sitting at the tables, chatting over coffee. It was cozy, warm, the kind of place people probably lingered in for hours. Not his thing.
You came back a moment later with a cake box, setting it down in front of him. “Vanilla with strawberry filling. I think she mentioned something about pink being mandatory.”
Logan pulled out his wallet. “You keep track of all your customers’ favorite cakes?”
You shrugged, ringing him up. “Just the regulars.”
He scoffed. “I ain’t a regular.”
“Not yet.” You smirked, handing him his change. “Though, I gotta admit, I’m a little disappointed.”
Logan frowned. “What now?”
“You never came back for me to prove I was right about the pie.”
He rolled his eyes. “Didn’t see a reason to.”
“Oh, there was a reason.” You leaned on the counter, tilting your head slightly. “You just didn’t wanna admit I was right. Which is why you can’t get the cake until you try a slice of pie.”
Logan narrowed his eyes. “You serious?”
“As a heart attack.” You crossed your arms, matching his stare with a smirk. “One bite. That’s all I’m asking.”
Logan exhaled sharply, glancing at the cake box like it might disappear if he didn’t grab it fast enough. “I don’t got time for this.”
“Oh, but you do.” You were already turning, heading for the back. “Sit tight.”
“Damn it,” he muttered under his breath, but he stayed put.
A minute later, you came back with a small plate, a fork, and a slice of apple pie. You set it down in front of him like you were presenting something sacred. “Here. Try it.”
Logan glanced around, already regretting this. A couple of customers had noticed, though no one was paying too much attention. Still, he felt like he was being set up. “This ain’t poisoned, is it?”
You snorted. “Please. If I wanted to take you out, I’d do it the old-fashioned way.”
“Comfortin’.” He picked up the fork, giving you one last look before taking a bite.
Warm, just the right amount of cinnamon, flaky crust—damn it. He hated when people were right.
You leaned on the counter, waiting expectantly. “Well?”
Logan chewed, swallowed, and grunted. “S’fine.”
Your grin widened. “Fine?”
“Yeah.” He took another bite, mostly out of spite. “Nothin’ special.”
“Oh, now you’re just lying.” You tapped the counter. “Admit it. I was right.”
Logan shoved another piece into his mouth, refusing to say anything.
You laughed, shaking your head. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
He pushed the plate back slightly and reached for the cake. “That enough of a taste test for ya?”
“For now.” You slid the cake toward him, clearly enjoying this way too much. “But next time? You’re trying the cinnamon roll.”
Logan grabbed the box and turned for the door. “Ain’t gonna be a next time.”
“Uh-huh, sure.”
The bell chimed as he stepped outside, but he caught your voice just before the door swung shut.
“See ya, sugar.”
---
The bell over the bakery door chimed as Logan stepped inside, hands shoved into his jacket pockets. He wasn’t entirely sure why he was here. No one sent him this time—no guilt trips from Jean, no nagging from Scott. Just… a damn craving, apparently.
You looked up from behind the counter, eyebrows lifting in surprise before a slow smirk tugged at your lips. “Well, well. Didn’t think I’d see you again so soon.”
Logan grunted, eyes flicking to the display case. “M’just here to pick somethin’ up.”
“Oh, sure. Totally believe that.” You leaned on the counter, chin resting in your palm. “Let me guess—apple pie?”
He exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “You’re way too smug about this.”
“Because I was right.” You straightened up and grabbed a slice of pie from the case, sliding it onto a small plate. “But, you know, since you’re here, might as well test another theory.”
Logan eyed you warily. “What theory?”
Without answering, you turned and grabbed something else, placing it next to the pie—a cinnamon roll, warm and fresh from the oven.
You tapped the counter. “Go on.”
Logan huffed. “I didn’t ask for that.”
“Consider it a challenge.” You smirked. “If you don’t like it, I’ll let you walk out of here without any ‘I told you so’s.’”
He eyed you, then the cinnamon roll, then back at you. “…And if I do?”
“Then I get to gloat forever.”
He shook his head, muttering something under his breath, but grabbed the plate anyway. Pulling out a few bills, he slid them across the counter.
You rang him up, watching as he hesitated before finally tearing off a piece of the cinnamon roll and popping it into his mouth.
His chewing slowed. You caught the slightest flicker of something—not quite annoyance, not quite satisfaction—before he swallowed.
“Well?” You leaned forward, grinning.
Logan picked up his plate. “M’leavin’.”
You laughed. “That good, huh? You know, you could just say ‘thank you’ like a normal person.”
Logan scoffed, tearing off another piece of the cinnamon roll. “Ain’t my style.”
You smirked, resting your elbows on the counter. “Yeah, no kidding. You’re more of the grumble and disappear type.”
He didn’t argue, just kept eating like acknowledging you would give you more reason to gloat. The place wasn’t too busy, which meant you had all the time in the world to mess with him—not exactly the outcome he was hoping for when he walked in.
“So, what’s the verdict?” You tapped your fingers against the counter. “Cinnamon roll or apple pie?”
Logan chewed, swallowed, and exhaled through his nose. “Pie.”
You gasped dramatically. “Wow. Just like that? No hesitation?”
“Nope.” He took another bite.
You shook your head, grinning. “That’s crazy. ’Cause it sure looks like you’re enjoying that cinnamon roll.”
Logan grunted, not meeting your eyes. “S’fine.”
“You said that about the pie, and look where we are now.” You rested your chin in your hand, watching him. “Face it, Logan. You’ve got a sweet tooth.”
“Tch.” He picked up the plate and turned toward the door, clearly done with this conversation.
“Don’t be a stranger, sugar,” you called after him.
He didn’t look back, but you caught the way his shoulders tensed—like he was fighting the urge to respond. The bell chimed as he stepped outside.
You smirked, already looking forward to the next time he walked through that door.

Usually, you did just fine lugging the large bag of flour from the crate to the kitchen, but after spending all day on your feet testing new recipes you weren’t exactly at your best.
You faintly heard the bell ring above the front door, and you called out “we’re closed!” before tugging the bag of flour again.
“You’re closed, huh?” A familiar gruff voice cut through the quiet.
You groaned, still struggling with the damn bag of flour. “Yeah, that’s what I said.”
Heavy footsteps approached, and before you could protest, the bag was lifted right out of your grip. You turned to see Logan holding it effortlessly like it weighed nothing.
You huffed. “You know, some people ask before just stepping in and taking over.”
He raised an eyebrow. “You were losin’ that fight.”
“I had it handled.”
“Sure you did.” He carried the bag through the doorway leading to the kitchen.
You followed, arms crossed. “What are you even doing here? You already got your sugar fix for the week.”
Logan set the bag down near the counter and dusted his hands off. “Needed somethin’ to do.”
You blinked. “So, out of all the places, you came here?”
He grunted, looking vaguely annoyed with himself. “Yeah, guess I did.”
You smirked, leaning against the counter. “Startin’ to think you like it here.”
Logan exhaled sharply. “Don’t push it.”
You tapped the counter lightly, still amused. “Well, since you’re here, you want something? Or are you just here to rescue me from my tragic battle with flour?”
Logan glanced around like he was debating whether he’d regret staying longer. Then his eyes landed on a tray of freshly baked cookies on the cooling rack.
You caught his look. “Ah. Now, let me use my special talent here—” You tapped your chin in mock thought. “You seem like a peanut butter guy.”
Logan scoffed. “Now you’re just makin’ stuff up.”
“Oh, am I?” You picked up a peanut butter cookie and held it out. “Go on. Prove me wrong.”
He stared at you, then at the cookie, then back at you. “This a new thing? You testin’ psychic powers on baked goods?”
“Just take the damn cookie, Logan.”
He rolled his eyes but took it, biting off a piece. His chewing slowed just slightly, the way it always did when he didn’t want to admit something was good.
You grinned. “Called it.”
Logan muttered something under his breath but didn’t stop eating.
You leaned on the counter, watching him. “So, what’s the excuse gonna be next time?”
He raised an eyebrow. “Next time?”
“Mhm. You keep coming back, whether it’s for cake, pie, or playing the hero with fifty-pound bags of flour.”
Logan finished the cookie and dusted off his hands. “You assumin’ a lot.”
“Oh, I don’t assume.” You smirked. “I just have a talent for predicting things.”
He shook his head and turned toward the door. “Don’t wait up.”
You grinned. “Bye bye, sugar bear.”
---
The next time Logan showed up, he didn’t say anything at first. Just walked in, hands shoved in his jacket pockets, and stood at the counter like he was already regretting the decision.
You looked up from the register, eyebrows raising. “Back again already?”
“Don’t start.”
You smirked. “Didn’t say anything.”
Logan gave you a look that said he didn’t believe that for a second. His eyes flicked to the display case, scanning over the usual selection. You leaned on the counter, waiting.
“So, what’ll it be?” You tapped your fingers against the counter. “Pie? Cinnamon roll? Maybe a cookie? I know a guy who’s a big fan of peanut butter.”
Logan exhaled, shaking his head. “Just coffee.”
You blinked. “Coffee?”
“Yeah. You got a problem with that?”
You tilted your head slightly. “I just figured if you were gonna show up unprompted, you’d at least pretend you weren’t here just for the free samples.”
He gave you a flat look. “M’not here for free samples.”
“Uh-huh.” You turned, grabbing a mug. “Black?”
“Yeah.”
You poured the coffee and slid it across the counter. Logan took it without a word, lifting it to his lips.
You watched him take a sip, arms crossed. “So, what’s the excuse this time?”
He lowered the mug slightly. “What?”
“You always have an excuse for coming in. First it was Jean, then Scott, then some tragic flour-related emergency.” You smirked. “What is it today? Did someone put you on coffee duty?”
Logan didn’t answer right away, just took another sip. “No excuse.”
Your smirk faltered slightly. “Huh.”
“What?”
“Nothing.” You shrugged, resting your elbows on the counter. “Just didn’t take you for the type to stop by for no reason.”
He grunted. “Maybe I just wanted coffee.”
“Maybe.” You studied him for a moment. “Or maybe you just wanted to see me.”
Logan huffed. “You’re pushin’ it.”
You grinned. “That wasn’t a no.”
He shook his head, setting the coffee down. “This place always this damn chatty?”
“Only when you’re here.”
Logan exhaled through his nose, but he didn’t argue. You took that as a win.
“Oh, I know somethin’ you can do for me.” You quickly ran into the backroom and grabbed a cooling scone—raspberry lime.
Logan eyed it with mild suspicion as you set it down in front of him. “What’s this?”
“A scone.”
He gave you a flat look. “I can see that.”
You smirked. “Then why’d you ask?”
Logan exhaled sharply, picking it up like it might bite him. “And I’m supposed to do what, exactly?”
“You’re supposed to eat it,” you said, leaning on the counter. “It’s a new recipe. Gotta make sure it’s good before I start selling them.”
His eyes narrowed slightly. “And you don’t got anyone else to taste-test this?”
“Not anyone who’ll give me an honest answer.” You tapped the counter lightly. “Customers are too polite, and the old ladies who come in every Sunday think everything I make is ‘just delightful.’ I need actual feedback.”
Logan looked at the scone like it was some kind of trap. “…It got any weird crap in it?”
“Weird crap?” You blinked. “It’s raspberry and lime. How is that weird?”
He grunted, still skeptical, but took a bite. His chewing slowed slightly, which you’d come to recognize as the telltale sign that he actually liked something but wasn’t about to admit it outright.
You grinned. “Well?”
Logan swallowed, then shrugged. “It’s fine.”
“Wow. High praise.”
He took another bite, shaking his head. “You want feedback or not?”
“Go on, then. Let’s hear it.”
He chewed thoughtfully, eyes flicking toward the ceiling like he was actually considering his words. “Not too sweet. Tart enough to keep it from bein’ boring. Texture’s good.” He paused, taking another bite. “Could use a little more lime.”
You tilted your head. “More lime?”
“Yeah.” He gestured vaguely with the scone. “You got the raspberry down, but the lime’s kinda fightin’ to be noticed.”
You pursed your lips, considering it. “Huh. Okay, I can work with that.”
Logan took another bite, looking vaguely annoyed with himself. “Didn’t expect you to actually listen.”
“I asked for feedback. What kind of baker would I be if I ignored it?” You smirked. “Besides, I already knew it was good—I just wanted to see if you’d admit it.”
He scoffed, setting the half-eaten scone down. “You’re a pain in the ass.”
“And yet, here you are. Again.”
Logan grunted, picking up his coffee. “Don’t make a big deal outta it.”
You grinned, tapping the counter. “No promises, sugar.”
---
The bell above the bakery door chimed, and you barely glanced up from where you were wiping down the counter. “We’re closed,” you called automatically.
“You keep sayin’ that, and yet, here I am,” came a familiar gruff voice.
You looked up, smirking as Logan stood at the counter, hands shoved into his jacket pockets like he was already regretting coming in. “Back again already? Thought you were done giving me a hard time.”
He grunted, eyes flicking toward the display case. “Just get me a coffee.”
You arched an eyebrow but didn’t question it, grabbing a mug and pouring it fresh. As you slid it across the counter, you tapped your fingers against the wood. “You know, most people would just admit they like a place instead of making up excuses to show up.”
Logan wrapped his hands around the mug, not looking at you. “Ain’t an excuse. Just needed coffee.”
“Sure.” You leaned on the counter, watching him. “So, what was it this time? Jean send you? Scott? Or did another bag of flour need rescuing?”
He exhaled sharply through his nose. “No reason.”
That gave you pause. You tilted your head slightly. “Huh.”
Logan frowned. “What?”
“Nothing.” You smirked, clearly amused. “Just didn’t take you for the type to stop by for no reason.”
He gave you a flat look. “You got somethin’ against repeat customers?”
“Oh, no. I love my regulars.” You grinned. “Especially the grumpy ones.”
Logan shook his head, lifting the mug to his lips. He didn’t argue, which only made you more smug.
---
The next time Logan came in, it wasn’t for coffee.
The place was quiet—late enough in the evening that most customers were long gone. You were behind the counter, finishing up some inventory, when the bell chimed.
You looked up, brows lifting. “You know, I could just give you a key at this point.”
Logan ignored that, stepping up to the counter. “What’s good today?”
You gave him an exaggerated gasp. “You’re finally asking for a recommendation? I’m honored.”
He sighed. “Just tell me what’s good.”
You smirked, grabbing a plate and sliding a freshly baked hand pie onto it. “Figured I’d experiment today—blackberry and bourbon.”
Logan picked up the hand pie, giving it a brief once-over before taking a bite. He chewed, swallowed, then gave a short nod. “Not bad.”
You put a hand over your heart. “Wow. Practically a glowing review.”
Logan rolled his eyes, but something about the interaction had softened. He stayed leaning against the counter, glancing at the cooling trays behind you. “So, you always wanted to do this?”
You blinked, caught off guard. “Do what?”
“This.” He gestured vaguely. “The whole bakery thing.”
You shrugged. “Pretty much. Always liked baking, figured I might as well get paid for it.”
Logan hummed in acknowledgment, taking another bite. He didn’t say anything for a while, but he didn’t leave either.
After a few beats of silence, you decided to return the question. “What about you?”
He glanced up. “What about me?”
You leaned on the counter. “You always wanted to be a broody loner who shows up at small businesses unannounced?”
Logan exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “You’re a real pain in the ass, you know that?”
You grinned. “Yeah, but I grow on people.”
“We’ll see about that.”
But he didn’t leave.
---
You had a habit of observing people. It came with the job—regulars had patterns, little quirks that gave away more than they realized.
Logan was no different.
The third or fourth time he came in, you started noticing them. The way his eyes scanned the room the second he stepped inside, like he was cataloging everything. How he never sat with his back to the door. How his shoulders only slightly relaxed after a few minutes, like he was still debating if he should be here at all.
“You’re always on guard.”
Logan, who had just taken a sip of coffee, lowered the mug slightly. “What?”
“You’re always watching everything,” you said, casually wiping down the counter. “Like you’re waiting for something to go wrong.”
Logan’s expression flickered—just for a second. “Force of habit.”
You nodded. “Figured.”
That was it. No prodding, no pushing. Just an acknowledgment.
Logan’s fingers tapped against the side of his mug. “That a problem?”
“Nope.” You smirked. “Just an observation.”
Logan held your gaze for a second longer, then shook his head. “You notice too much.”
“Perks of the job.” You leaned forward slightly. “You know what else I noticed?”
He sighed. “What now?”
“You linger.”
Logan frowned. “The hell does that mean?”
“You stick around longer each time.” You grinned. “Almost like you enjoy being here.”
Logan grunted, grabbing his coffee. “You’re annoyin’.”
“And yet, here you are.”
He didn’t argue.
---
The bell above the bakery door chimed, right on schedule. You smirked to yourself as you wiped your hands on your apron. Logan had been showing up like clockwork now—never admitting it, of course, but his routine spoke for itself.
When you turned around, you were already holding out a plate.
Logan narrowed his eyes. “What’s this?”
You set it on the counter with a flourish. “Leftover peanut butter cookies. Tragic, really. If only someone around here liked them.”
Logan exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “You plannin’ on feedin’ me every time I come in?”
“Would you complain if I was?” You leaned on the counter, raising an eyebrow.
He grumbled something under his breath but grabbed a cookie anyway, biting into it like he was proving a point.
You smirked. “Thought so.”
Logan chewed, swallowed, then gestured toward the plate. “These actually extra?”
You tilted your head. “Does it matter?”
His jaw flexed slightly, like he didn’t know how to respond. Instead of answering, he just grabbed another cookie.
You grinned.
---
It had been a long day. A really long day.
One of the ovens had decided to throw a tantrum, a supplier had screwed up an order, and to top it off, you still had to prep for a catering job in the morning.
You didn’t even look up when the bell chimed. “We’re closed,” you called tiredly, shoving a crate of flour toward the back.
“Yeah, yeah.”
You blinked, glancing up to see Logan standing near the counter, arms crossed.
You huffed. “Starting to think you don’t understand what closed means.”
Logan ignored that, glancing around at the half-prepped trays, the mess of ingredients still covering the counter. “You runnin’ this place by yourself?”
“Yep.” You exhaled, pushing hair out of your face. “Well, mostly. Sometimes I hire help for big orders.”
Logan grunted, then—without a word—walked past the counter, grabbed the flour bag you had been struggling with, and lifted it like it weighed nothing.
You blinked. “Uh—what are you—”
“Where’s it goin’?”
You stared at him. “You do realize you don’t work here, right?”
Logan gave you a flat look. “You askin’ me to leave?”
You hesitated, then sighed. “Corner shelf, second row.”
He carried it over like it was nothing, then turned back expectantly.
You crossed your arms. “What, you lookin’ for a job now?”
Logan snorted. “You couldn’t afford me.”
“Oh, please.” You smirked. “I’d pay you in coffee and pie. You’d be set for life.”
He shook his head but didn’t argue. Instead, he glanced around the kitchen again. “What else?”
You narrowed your eyes. “Are you helping?”
“Tch.” He grabbed another crate before you could protest. “You’re losin’ this fight, just let it happen.”
You watched him work for a moment, a little stunned. You weren’t used to people sticking around just to help. It wasn’t a grand gesture, wasn’t something he was making a big deal out of—it was just Logan, stepping in like it was the most natural thing in the world.
You turned back to your work, shaking your head with a small smile.
“Fine,” you muttered. “But you’re not getting paid.”
Logan grunted. “Figures.”
---
It was late—too late. You should’ve locked up an hour ago, but you were dragging your feet, finishing up inventory while Logan sat at one of the tables with his usual coffee.
You glanced over at him. He had been coming around more, sticking around longer. He never said why, and you never asked. It was just… the way things had settled.
“You always this restless?” you asked, breaking the quiet.
Logan glanced up. “What?”
“You always show up late.” You leaned against the counter. “Ever sleep?”
He scoffed. “Not much.”
You tilted your head slightly. “Because you can’t, or because you don’t want to?”
Something flickered in his expression. He looked down at his coffee, fingers tapping against the side of the mug. “Both.”
You studied him for a moment. “Bad dreams?”
Logan didn’t answer right away. Then, quietly—so quiet you almost missed it—he muttered, “Somethin’ like that.”
You didn’t push. You could’ve asked more, pried for details, but that wasn’t how this worked. Instead, you just nodded.
“I get it,” you said simply.
Logan looked at you, something unreadable in his eyes. “Yeah?”
You shrugged. “Yeah.”
The silence stretched, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. Just… understanding.
Logan took another sip of his coffee, then exhaled. “You should lock up.”
You smirked. “You gonna tell me what to do now?”
He stood, grabbing his jacket. “Don’t need to. You’re already dead on your feet.”
You huffed. “You know, for a guy who claims he doesn’t care, you sure do act like you do.”
Logan pulled his jacket on, not looking at you. “Get some sleep, Y/N.”
You watched as he headed for the door, shaking your head with a small smile.
“Night, sugar bear,” you called after him.
He didn’t look back, but you saw the way his shoulders tensed—like he was fighting the urge to respond.
The bell chimed as the door swung shut.
---
By now, Logan had stopped making excuses for why he kept coming back. He still didn’t admit anything, but you noticed the pattern—how he always came in around closing time, how he lingered longer each visit.
Tonight was no different.
The bell chimed, and you barely looked up from wiping down the espresso machine. “Y’know, if you’re gonna keep doing this, I really should just give you a key.”
Logan grunted, stepping inside. “Don’t need one.”
You smirked. “Because you’d just break in?”
“Somethin’ like that.”
You rolled your eyes, finishing up before leaning on the counter. “So, what’ll it be? Coffee? Something sweet? Or are you just here to loiter?”
Logan didn’t answer right away. He walked over to his usual seat—the one near the window, back to the wall—and sat down with a sigh.
“No coffee,” he muttered.
That was new.
You eyed him. “Rough night?”
He exhaled sharply but didn’t answer. That was answer enough.
Without another word, you grabbed a mug, poured something fresh, and set it on the table in front of him.
“I thought I said no coffee.”
You sat across from him, propping your chin on your hand. “It’s tea.”
Logan frowned at it. “The hell do I look like, some kinda tea-drinkin’—”
“—Just drink it, Logan.”
He huffed but didn’t argue. Took a sip. Grunted.
You smirked. “Good, right?”
“...It’s fine.”
You leaned back, watching him. “You don’t have to talk, you know.”
Logan raised an eyebrow.
You shrugged. “Just saying. If you wanna sit here in broody silence for an hour, I won’t stop you.”
He stared at you for a long moment, something unreadable passing behind his expression. Then, slowly, he leaned back in his chair, sipping his tea.
Neither of you said anything else for a while.
But he stayed.
---
You had dealt with rude customers before. It came with the job—some people were just assholes. But most of the time, they were harmless.
Most of the time.
Tonight, some guy had been giving you a hard time—complaining about his order, getting a little too close, sneering in that way that immediately put you on edge.
“You got a problem with your ears, sweetheart? I said extra caramel—”
“I heard you,” you said, forcing yourself to stay calm. “But that’s not what you ordered.”
The guy scoffed, leaning over the counter. “So now you’re callin’ me a liar?”
Before you could answer, a familiar voice cut through the tension like a knife.
“She ain’t callin’ you anythin’.”
Logan was right there—sudden and solid, standing just slightly in front of you.
The guy turned, sizing Logan up. “And who the hell are you supposed to be?”
Logan didn’t answer. Just held his gaze, silent, still.
You had seen Logan fight before—you knew what he was capable of—but sometimes, it didn’t take claws or violence. Sometimes, it was just him, standing there, making someone realize they’d made a mistake.
The guy swallowed.
“Forget it,” he muttered, grabbing his coffee and leaving without another word.
The door shut behind him, and for a moment, the bakery was silent.
You exhaled. “Well. That was fun.”
Logan turned, looking you over like he was checking for something. “You alright?”
You smirked. “Aww, you care.”
Logan grunted. “Don’t start.”
You crossed your arms. “What, no dramatic one-liner? No ‘stay away from her’ speech?”
“Didn’t need one.”
You shook your head, still smirking. “You’re ridiculous.”
Logan didn’t answer. Just grumbled under his breath and went back to his seat, like nothing had happened.
But you noticed the way he didn’t touch his drink for a while—like he was still too on edge to relax.
---
“You’re actually serious about this.”
Logan stood at the entrance of the farmers’ market, arms crossed, looking very unamused by the whole thing.
You grinned. “Yep.”
“You dragged me here.”
“Oh, please. No one drags you anywhere. You came willingly.”
He grunted but didn’t argue.
You had invited him on a whim, half-expecting him to say no. But to your surprise, he had shown up—grumbling the whole way, sure, but still.
The market was lively—small tents, fresh produce, the smell of roasted coffee and warm pastries in the air. It was a nice change from the usual bakery setting.
Logan, however, looked wildly out of place.
“You look miserable,” you teased, nudging him.
“’Cause I am miserable.”
“You sure? ’Cause I saw you eyeing those smoked meats at the last booth.”
Logan huffed. “That don’t mean I wanna be here.”
You smirked. “Mhm. Keep telling yourself that.”
Still, he stuck close to you as you weaved through the booths. He didn’t complain when you stopped to look at pastries, didn’t roll his eyes too hard when you bought something ridiculous just because it “looked cute.”
At one point, you handed him a fresh apple cider donut.
Logan frowned. “What’s this for?”
“Because you look like you wanna kill someone, and I need you to chill.”
He gave you a look but took a bite anyway.
You grinned. “See? Was that so hard?”
Logan just grumbled around his donut.
You took that as a win.
---
Logan, for the first time in a while, came to your bakery for an order. It was for the Valentine’s Day party at the mansion and Jean and Ororo put him on pickup duty.
It was close to 3 pm when he arrived and the sign on the door was already turned to CLOSED.
He opened the door and walked in, the bell ringing above.
You were behind the counter, carefully arranging a tray of macarons into a pastry box. You glanced up at the sound, then smirked when you saw who it was.
“Ah, my favorite grump. Here for the party order?”
Logan grunted, stepping closer. “Jean and Ro made me do it.
“Of course they did.” You shut the box and slid it across the counter. “Bunch of heart-shaped macarons, just as requested—raspberry, chocolate, vanilla bean, and peanut butter.”
Logan eyed the box, then flicked his gaze back to you. You looked… different. Dressed up. Not overly fancy, but enough to make him pause. His brows pulled together slightly.
“You got plans or somethin’?”
You tilted your head. “What?”
He gestured vaguely. “You’re dressed up.”
You raised an eyebrow, smirking. “Why, you jealous?”
Logan scoffed. “Ain’t jealous. Just askin’.”
You hummed, clearly entertained. “No date, if that’s what you’re getting at.”
Logan crossed his arms. “Didn’t say nothin’ about a date.”
You grinned. “Mhm. Well, in case you were wondering, Jean invited me to the party.”
His expression flickered—something unreadable for half a second—before he exhaled sharply. “That right?”
“Yep.” You grabbed another small box from behind the counter and handed it to him. “These are yours, by the way.”
Logan frowned slightly, opening the box. Inside were four macarons, but unlike the ones in the party order, these were regular round ones.
“Didn’t think you’d want heart-shaped ones,” you said, watching his reaction.
He stared at them for a moment. “These the same flavors?”
“Yep. One of each.” You leaned on the counter, smirking. “Figured you’d appreciate the peanut butter one the most.”
Logan huffed. “You really don’t let up, huh?”
“Nope.”
He shook his head but didn’t argue. Just shut the box and grabbed the party order. “C’mon. I’ll give you a ride.”
You blinked. “What?”
Logan gestured toward the door. “Party’s at the mansion, ain’t it? You’re goin’, I’m goin’. Might as well save you the trip.”
You smirked, grabbing your coat. “And how exactly are these macarons supposed to survive on a motorcycle?”
Logan gave you a flat look. “I got it handled.”
You chuckled, stepping around the counter. “Alright, sugar bear. Let’s see what you got.”
He grumbled something under his breath but held the door open for you anyway.
You stepped outside, pulling your coat tighter as the cool air hit. Logan followed, already heading toward his bike.
You stopped short, staring at it. “Okay, I gotta ask—where exactly are these macarons supposed to go? You got some hidden pastry compartment I don’t know about?”
Logan shot you a look. “I said I got it handled.”
You crossed your arms. “That’s not an answer.”
He exhaled sharply, then crouched slightly, reaching for the saddlebag attached to the side of his bike. With practiced ease, he unlatched it, revealing a snug, padded compartment inside.
You raised an eyebrow. “That’s… oddly convenient.”
Logan shrugged. “Picked it up a while back. Good for keepin’ shit from gettin’ smashed.”
You smirked. “So, what you’re saying is, this is a dessert-safe motorcycle?”
He grunted, carefully placing the boxes inside. “Sure.”
You shook your head, amused. “You are full of surprises, sugar bear.”
Logan ignored that, straightening up before turning to you. “You ever been on a bike before?”
You hesitated. “…Define ‘been on a bike.’”
His expression flattened. “That a no?”
“Not a no. More like a… not exactly.”
Logan exhaled through his nose. “Great.” He swung a leg over and sat, steadying the bike before nodding toward you. “C’mon.”
You gave him a look. “You’re just assuming I’m gonna get on?”
He raised an eyebrow. “You got another ride?”
You huffed, stepping forward. “Fine, but if we crash, I’m haunting you.”
Logan scoffed. “Yeah, yeah. Foot on the peg, swing your leg over, and don’t make a damn production out of it.”
You did as he said, slightly awkward but managing without embarrassing yourself. Once seated, you hesitated, hands hovering near his back.
“…Where am I supposed to hold?”
Logan didn’t answer right away. Then, without looking back, he reached for your wrists and pulled your arms around his waist. “Here.”
You blinked, caught off guard, but didn’t argue. His body was solid under your hands, radiating warmth even through his jacket.
“This gonna be a problem?” he asked, clearly amused.
You huffed. “Not unless you do something stupid.”
Logan smirked, kicking the bike to life. “Hang on, doll.”
You rolled your eyes but tightened your grip around his waist. The engine rumbled beneath you, the vibration humming through your chest as Logan eased the bike forward. The cool night air bit at your skin, but the warmth of him under your hands made up for it.
As he pulled onto the road, you couldn’t help but squeeze your arms a little tighter. Not out of fear—just instinct. Logan didn’t say anything about it, but you could feel the shift in his posture, the slightest adjustment like he was making sure you were steady.
The ride was smooth, surprisingly so. Logan handled the bike with an ease that made you wonder just how many times he’d done this before. The streets of Westchester blurred past, streetlights casting a golden glow over the pavement.
After a few minutes, you leaned forward slightly. “So, be honest. How often do you use the whole ‘wanna ride?’ line to impress women?”
Logan snorted. “You think I need a line?”
You scoffed. “Wow. That cocky, huh?”
He smirked, though you couldn’t see it. “Ain’t about bein’ cocky, darlin’. Just statin’ facts.”
You shook your head, amused. “Uh-huh. Well, just so you know, I’m only impressed if we get there in one piece.”
Logan huffed. “You doubtin’ my drivin’?”
“I mean, I don’t want to, but I’ve also seen how you drive a car, and—”
“That was one time,” he grumbled.
“And yet, Scott still won’t let you near the X-Jet.”
“One crash, and suddenly nobody trusts ya.”
You laughed, resting your chin lightly against his back. “You’re ridiculous.”
Logan didn’t respond, but you felt his chest rise and fall with a short, quiet chuckle.
The rest of the ride was mostly silent, save for the occasional gust of wind and the steady roar of the engine. It wasn’t bad, you realized. The night air, the open road, the way Logan rode like he belonged there—it was… nice.
After a while, the looming gates of the Xavier Institute came into view. Logan slowed the bike, coasting up the long driveway before finally coming to a stop near the entrance.
As the engine cut off, you let out a breath and loosened your grip. Logan tilted his head slightly. “Not bad for your first time?”
You huffed. “I mean, I survived, so I’d call it a win.”
He smirked. “Told ya I had it handled.”
You slid off the bike, stretching your legs. “Alright, sugar bear. Let’s get these macarons inside before Jean hunts us down.”
Logan grunted but grabbed the boxes from the saddlebag, handing you yours before leading the way inside. The moment you stepped through the doors, the distant sound of music and chatter spilled into the hallway.
You smirked. “Sounds like the party’s in full swing.”
Logan rolled his eyes. “Great.”
You nudged him playfully. “Oh, come on. It won’t kill you to be social for one night.”
He gave you a look. “Wanna bet?”
Before you could respond, a familiar voice cut in.
“There you guys are!”
Jean appeared from around the corner, arms crossed but a knowing smirk on her lips. “Was starting to think you got lost.”
Logan grunted, holding up the pastry box. “Got your damn macarons, didn’t we?”
Jean took them, amused. “And you made it in one piece. I’ll call that a success.” She glanced at you, smirk widening. “Enjoy the ride?”
You crossed your arms, smirking right back. “I mean, I was mildly impressed. Didn’t even have to cling to him for dear life.”
Logan exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “I hate both of ya.”
Jean just laughed. “Come on, you two. Let’s get to the party.”
You followed her down the hall, Logan trailing behind you like he was already regretting every life decision that led him to this moment. The music grew louder as you got closer, and when Jean pushed open the doors to the common room, the full chaos of the Valentine’s party hit you.
Streamers, heart-shaped balloons, and way too much red and pink covered every inch of the space. A long table near the wall was packed with snacks, desserts—including your macarons—and an absolutely massive punch bowl that looked suspiciously spiked.
“Oh, this is festive,” you mused, glancing around.
“Festive’s one word for it,” Logan muttered.
Jean handed off the box of macarons to Ororo, who grinned when she saw you. “Glad you made it!”
“Of course,” you said, smirking. “Wouldn’t miss an excuse to see Logan suffer through social interaction.”
Ororo chuckled. “Well, you’re in luck, because he can’t sneak out this time. Scott already said if he disappears before midnight, he’s getting put on dish duty for the next month.”
You turned to Logan. “I like this rule.”
Logan just grunted. “’S bullshit.”
Jean smirked. “Then you better stick around.”
Ororo pulled you away toward the dessert table before Logan could complain more. “Come on, you have to try some of the punch before Bobby finishes it off.”
“I’m pretty sure that’s just straight-up vodka at this point,” you said, eyeing the bowl.
“Exactly.”
You laughed but let her pour you a cup. The party was already in full swing—students dancing, music blasting, people laughing over whatever nonsense was happening near the pool table. It was easy, fun, not a bad way to spend a night.
Logan, however, looked like he wanted to be anywhere else. He had posted up near the bar, arms crossed, sipping a beer while occasionally glaring at anyone who got too close.
You made your way over, drink in hand. “Having fun?”
He gave you a flat look.
You grinned. “That bad, huh?”
He sighed. “Too loud.”
“Aw, poor thing,” you teased, nudging him. “Bet you’d rather be back at the bakery eating peanut butter cookies in broody silence.”
Logan took a sip of his beer. “Damn right.”
You smirked, leaning against the bar. “Well, if you survive the night, maybe I’ll consider rewarding you with some.”
His eyes flicked toward you, something unreadable in his expression. “That so?”
“Maybe.” You took a sip of your drink. “Depends on how grumpy you get.”
Logan scoffed but didn’t argue. Instead, he watched you over the rim of his bottle, like he was figuring something out.
Before either of you could say anything else, Rogue appeared, grinning. “Oh, good, you’re both here.”
You raised an eyebrow. “That’s never a good sign.”
“I need you two for somethin’.”
Logan immediately shook his head. “No.”
Rogue rolled her eyes. “You don’t even know what it is.”
“Don’t need to.”
She ignored him and turned to you. “We’re playin’ Seven Minutes in Heaven.”
You nearly choked on your drink. “You’re what?”
Rogue smirked. “C’mon, it’s tradition. Just pick a name outta the hat.”
Logan was already turning to leave. “Hell no.”
You grabbed his arm before he could make an escape. “Oh, come on, sugar. Don’t be a coward.”
He shot you a look. “I ain’t playin’ some dumbass game.”
Rogue crossed her arms. “Then you gotta do dish duty for a month.”
Logan clenched his jaw.
You grinned. “I like this rule.”
Logan exhaled sharply, then snatched a name from the hat. He glanced at it, scowled, then crumpled the paper in his fist. “This is stupid.”
Rogue smirked, looking at you. “Your turn.”
You sighed, reaching into the hat. When you unfolded the paper, your eyes widened slightly.
Logan.
You looked up, meeting his gaze. His expression was unreadable, but you caught the slight twitch of his jaw.
Rogue clapped her hands together. “Welp, you know the rules. Closet’s that way.”
You turned to Logan, smirking. “Guess we’re doin’ this.”
He huffed. “Guess so.”
Rogue practically shoved you both toward the closet, grinning. “Have fun, lovebirds.”
The door shut behind you with a click.
You turned to Logan, arms crossed. “So. This is happening.”
He exhaled sharply. “Tch.”
The space wasn’t exactly roomy. You were standing close, close enough to catch the scent of cigar smoke and something warm, familiar.
You smirked. “You look like you’d rather fight Sabretooth again than be in here right now.”
Logan rolled his eyes. “Ain’t far off.”
You chuckled, then leaned back slightly. “Relax, sugar. It’s just a game.”
He studied you for a moment, then shook his head. “You really don’t let up, do ya?”
“Nope.”
Silence stretched between you. There was something… different about being this close, no bar or counter between you, nothing but the dim glow of light filtering under the door.
Your gaze flicked to his lips, just for a second, before you looked back up at his eyes. His expression was unreadable, but there was something else there—something you couldn’t quite place.
You raised an eyebrow. “What’re you thinking?”
Logan exhaled slowly, then smirked. “You really wanna know?”
You tilted your head. “Yeah.”
He leaned in slightly, just enough to make your breath catch.
“…Thinkin’ this is a real stupid game,” he muttered.
You huffed a laugh, shaking your head. “Terrible answer.”
Logan grunted, crossing his arms. “Yeah, well. Ain’t much of a game to begin with.”
You smirked, leaning back against the closet wall. “You know, for someone who acts like he doesn’t give a damn about party games, you sure are committed to standing here in silence.”
Logan shot you a look. “Ain’t like I got a choice.”
“You always got a choice, sugar,” you mused, tilting your head. “Could’ve taken dish duty.”
“Rather be in here than deal with Scott’s bitchin’.”
You chuckled. “That’s fair.”
Silence stretched between you again. The closet wasn’t big, barely enough space for both of you without standing close. Logan stayed where he was, arms crossed, shoulders tense.
You tapped your fingers against the wall, glancing at him. “You ever actually played this before?”
He exhaled sharply. “What, you think I spent my younger years crammed in closets with gigglin’ teenagers?”
You grinned. “I dunno, Logan. You’ve been around a while. Gotta imagine at least one girl managed to talk you into it.”
He huffed. “Ain’t my thing.”
“Yeah, I figured.” You shifted, crossing one leg over the other. “You don’t really seem like the party type. More of a ‘drink alone in a dive bar and pretend you don’t wanna talk to anyone’ kinda guy.”
Logan shot you a dry look. “You got me all figured out, huh?”
You tapped your temple. “I’m observant.”
He didn’t answer, but you caught the slight twitch of amusement at the corner of his mouth.
You let the silence linger for a beat before speaking again. “You know, seven minutes is a long time. You might as well entertain me.”
Logan raised an eyebrow. “Entertain you?”
“Yeah. Tell me something.”
He scoffed. “Ain’t got nothin’ to say.”
“Oh, I doubt that,” you mused. “You just don’t like talking.”
Logan rolled his eyes. “You do enough of that for both of us.”
You pressed a hand to your chest. “You wound me, sugar bear.”
He exhaled sharply. “Don’t call me that.”
“You never complain when I say it outside of a closet.”
“’Cause outside of a closet, I can walk away.”
You smirked. “You sure about that? ’Cause last time I checked, you keep coming back.”
Logan grunted, looking away. “This is the longest seven minutes of my goddamn life.”
“Oh, come on. You’re having fun.”
“The hell I am.”
You chuckled, shaking your head. “Alright, fine. If you’re not gonna talk, I’ll just have to fill the silence myself.”
Logan sighed. “Fantastic.”
You ignored his sarcasm and leaned your head back against the wall. “Alright, let’s see… Did I ever tell you about the time a guy tried to rob me with a butter knife?”
That actually got Logan’s attention. His brows pulled together slightly. “The hell?”
You grinned. “Yeah. Came in one night, all twitchy, pulls a damn butter knife from his sleeve like it was supposed to be intimidating. Told me to empty the register.”
Logan tilted his head. “What’d you do?”
You smirked. “Took the knife out of his hand and gave him a scone.”
Logan stared at you, then shook his head. “You’re ridiculous.”
“I prefer resourceful,” you said, grinning. “Besides, guy was clearly desperate. Didn’t have the heart to kick his ass.”
Logan grunted. “Lucky for him.”
“Lucky for me, too. He actually came back a week later with a real apology. Bought a dozen muffins.”
Logan huffed a quiet laugh, shaking his head. “Only you.”
You shrugged, clearly pleased with yourself. “Hey, you’re the one who said I talk too much. This is what you get. I could also talk about the time my cousin carpooled with—”
Logan cut you off mid-sentence. Not with a glare, not with a grumble—no, this time, he shut you up the only way that was guaranteed to work.
By kissing you.
It was sudden, barely enough time to react before he stepped forward, backing you up until your shoulders hit the wall. His hand came up, palm pressing flat beside your head, caging you in without a single word.
Your breath caught, brain short-circuiting for half a second before instinct kicked in. You kissed him back, fingers curling slightly at your sides like you were debating grabbing onto him.
Logan didn’t rush it—didn’t press too hard, didn’t let it turn into something it wasn’t meant to be. But it was firm, deliberate, enough to make your knees feel just a little weak.
And then, just as suddenly as it started, he pulled back.
The closet felt even smaller than before.
For a few long, charged moments, neither of you said anything. You were still pressed against the wall, Logan still close, his hand still braced by your head. His eyes flicked over your face, scanning for something, though you weren’t sure what.
Your heart was pounding, but you weren’t about to be the one to break first.
So, instead, you smirked, tilting your head slightly. “So… does this mean you’re my valentine now?”
Logan exhaled sharply, shaking his head. “You never let up, do ya?”
“Nope.” Your grin widened. “Not even after being dramatically kissed in a broom closet.”
Logan huffed, but he didn’t move away. He stayed right there, close enough that you could still feel his warmth, still smell the faint trace of whiskey and cigar smoke clinging to his jacket.
You tapped a finger against his chest. “I mean, you did just make a pretty big statement. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you actually like me.”
Logan grunted. “Don’t push it.”
You grinned. “That wasn’t a no.” You reached up, tapping his bottom lip with your finger, “c’mon sugar bear. Would I really be that bad of a valentine?”
Logan exhaled sharply through his nose, eyes flicking between yours. "You’re real pushy, you know that?"
You smirked. "And yet, here you are. In a closet. With me." Your finger was still resting against his lip, and you tapped it lightly, just to mess with him. "So, sugar bear, what’s the verdict?"
Logan caught your wrist before you could do it again, his grip firm but not rough. "That name’s gonna be the death of me."
"You’ll survive." You grinned. "So? Valentine or not?"
Logan didn’t answer right away. He still hadn’t let go of your wrist, his thumb brushing absently against your skin like he hadn’t noticed he was doing it. His gaze flickered down to your lips, then back up, his jaw tightening slightly like he was debating something.
Then, without a word, he let go, stepping back just enough to put space between you.
You arched an eyebrow. "That’s it?"
Logan crossed his arms. "What else you want, a damn serenade?"
"Well, now that you mention it—"
"Not happenin’."
You chuckled, tilting your head. "Alright, fine. No singing. But I’ll take that kiss as a yes."
Logan scoffed. "You assume too much."
"Mm. Do I?" You tapped your chin in mock thought. "You kissed me. Didn’t push me away. Didn’t tell me to shut up. And now you’re looking at me like you’re still considerin’ round two."
Logan’s jaw ticked. "You’re real smug."
"You like it," you shot back easily.
He didn’t confirm or deny it. Just exhaled sharply and ran a hand through his hair.
"Alright," you said, watching him. "Since you clearly can’t admit it, I’ll do it for you. Logan Howlett, the grumpiest man in Westchester, is officially my Valentine."
Logan rolled his eyes. "You’re impossible."
"And yet, here you are," you teased, throwing his own words back at him.
Logan shook his head, but the corner of his mouth twitched—just barely, but you caught it. "You done yet?"
"Not even close." You smirked, reaching for the doorknob. "But I’ll give you a break… for now."
Before you could turn it, Logan caught your wrist again, stopping you.
You raised an eyebrow. "Changed your mind?"
He didn’t answer right away. Just held your gaze for a second longer than necessary before he muttered, low and gruff, "you talk too much."
Then he kissed you again.
This time, there was no hesitation. No half-measures. Just Logan pressing you back against the closet wall, one hand curling around your waist, the other braced beside your head. The kiss was slower this time, deliberate, like he wanted to make sure you wouldn’t talk your way out of it.
Not that you were planning to.
You grinned against his lips, fisting the front of his jacket and pulling him closer. "See?" you murmured. "Told you you liked me."
Logan grunted but didn’t stop kissing you. Didn’t pull away.
Didn’t even argue.

—what a loser! | c.bg
Tumblr media
୨୧ synopsis. hearing rumours of your sex life travel around your campus for the first time has you standing in front of the very person that you’re convinced is responsible. your secret fuck buddy.
୨୧ warnings. stoner!gyu, bratty sub!beomgyu, mean femdom, humiliation kink, VERY public, hair pulling, hate sex kind of, cunnilingus, use of pet, fuck buddies, reader has a priest dad, bit of a toxic dynamic
Tumblr media
“Why’re you here?” he mumbles casting his eyes down to his feet as he idly skates around, not paying you even a little bit of eye contact or actual acknowledgement.
“Can we talk somewhere else? More private?”
He ignores you.
You huff, rolling your eyes, adjusting the bag on your shoulder. The sun had already set, there were even less people out—no one was skating around at this hour but Beomgyu. “Why—" you take a breath, already feeling yourself get emotional and angry, “Why did you go around telling people about us?”
There’s a few reasons circling your head. Attention, bragging rights—attention was a big one but you hoped, no, a part of you believes it was an accident. That he let the information slip from his lips when he was drunk, or out of his right mind. But with the way he’s acting, it’s getting harder to hold on to the belief that Beomgyu was misunderstood and not just a fucking asshole.
Too much time goes by with silence and you think hes blatantly ignoring you again, but then he halts his skating, taking the time to run a hand through his hair. Hair that you’ve regretfully played with days on end, twirling strands around your finger, giggling as if the foundation you’ve built your relationship on wasn’t such a fragile fire that could be snuffed out in seconds if not the tiniest bit careful.
Look where you are now.
“Dunno, ‘cuz I can.”
His eyes are on you, bangs parted, looking straight at you. You can’t get it out of your mind, how the ends of his lips twitched up as he said that. Bitch. Fucking bitch.
He finds this amusing. A game. Your reputation was a game to him. Of course it is. He never took anything serious, not his career, not his relationships, not his future—he never cared.
Your nostrils flare as you stomp large strides towards him, charging and shoving his chest, having him stumble backwards off his board, dryly laughing. “The goody two shoes about to commit an assault?”
“Oh fuck off, you wouldn’t dare try suing me. God, I hate you so much. You’re such a—such a fucking loser!” you yell.
That wiped off the cocky demeanour.
“Here’s some two cents for you, I couldn’t give less of a fuck about whatever this is between us. I really couldn’t. But you—” your face gets heated up, pointing a finger at him. “You will never find anything better than what I gave you. And you’re going to live with that.”
He scoffs like he’s unbothered but it’s so clear with the way he clenches his jaw afterwards he’s pissed—it hit a spot. Good. Good, let him be hurt.
“What do you even—what did you gain by telling everybody my sex life? Having people call me a slut? Some sick pleasure from being superior to me for once? Attention? Huh? Why’re you acting out now?” Your eyes are narrowed as they implore answers out of him, searching his face and eyes, anything, anything that you can read from his unbearable silence.
“Yeah.”
You blink confused. “What?”
“Yeah, I wanted the attention. Happy now?” He walks to shoulder you but you let out a scoff, holding him back by his arm and pushing him in front of you again.
“You can’t for one second act like a man can you? You just run away from everything!” you feel like you could rip out your hair with how frustrating hes being.
“If you’re just going to stand there and insult me like a bitch I might as well just go and do something fucking productive.” he spits.
Your cheeks heat up and you think for the first time you understand the phrase of seeing red. Hes been poking and poking and poking with his nonchalance then later smugness then going onto just straight up disrespect—he was really pushing you. So he should’ve expected the hand that goes to strike him against his face—your chest rising up and down, brows furrowed deeply.
A faint red hand print blooms across his cheek, and his jaw falls slack, eyes blown out and wide. You suddenly grab him by the back of his hair, no doubt burning his scalp with the way he lets out a loud hiss. “I fucking hate you. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you.”
You’re so close to his face and everything about the way he’s looking at you gives you the chills. You hate him. You do. He’s insane, he’s selfish, he’s rude, he’s—
A shaky lopsided grin still manages to break from his face, “No you don’t.”
And that was your last straw.
The addictive nature about Beomgyu is what kept you coming back over and over again—he never lead, he just let you…take him. And sometimes, at a point of your life where you feel like everythings being controlled for you, not having the choice to make the decisions you like, this somewhat served as an outlet.
That’s the more…reasonable explanation.
The other explanation is simple. He’s so fucking sexy.
The way he still melts into a kiss so harsh and mean, attempting to cup your cheeks, but immedietely dropping it when he feels your disapporval, his whimpers already picking up, not taking any incentive to breathe as if this kiss was enough to keep him alive; it’s those little things that have you up in the middle of the night thinking about him. Him.
Beomgyu, the stereotypical bad-boy stoner hipster outcast—the antithesis of everything present in your picture perfect life—he keeps you up at night. The mix of weed and his hilariously bad attempt at covering it with febreeze and cologne wafts your scent, it overwhelms you, but you still can’t get enough. Everything annoying about him disappears when he’s touching you.
“Why? Why do you keep doing this?” you say, finally being able to pull away from him—only after you had jerked on his hair harsher.
His lips are swollen, red and glistening—he looks pretty like this. He really does. But those lips always end up saying something to piss you off. “Keep doing what? Letting everyone know how you really are? Not actually the good girl you pretend to be, huh.”
You don’t know if he’s goading you on purpose because he likes it rough, or if he’s just being an asshole in general. It doesn’t matter. If he’s going to act like a brat, he’ll get treated like one.
Your knuckles had turned white with how hard you were gripping his hair so it feels relieving when you finally let it go. He tries to lean in to chase after your lips again, but you have your hands on his chest to stop him.
The flash of panic in his eyes when you step back from him is hilarious, it really is. It tells you everything you need to know. He wants you. He really wants you. He doesn’t care if you hit him or ruin his life, he wants you.
If his next words are any indication. “Hey, hey what are you doing? Where are you going?”
You walk to sit on a step of the stairs. “Do you think I’m a slut? Is that why you thought you had the audacity? Surely because otherwise if you respected me you wouldn’t have spread those rumors about me.”
He huffs out a laugh, the biggest reaction you’ve gotten out of him so far. He also walks to get closer to you. “What the fuck is wrong with you? You haven’t even come up with one single reason that would paint me in a better light. You really do see me as a fucking douchebag loser.” He’s clearly getting emotional with the way his voice gets higher pitched, the nonchalant front cracking, his lips slightly trembling.
“Because that’s what you are. Douchebag. Loser. You’re. A. Loser. Choi Beomgyu.”
You can see his fists clench at his sides, tight lipped. If you knew any better, you think he might’ve just started crying, but you’re not interested in tears. You angle your feet to point to the ground, “On your knees.”
He only hesitates for a second, he only stands there staring at you for a second, only a second before he crumbles and does as you say, getting on his knees in front of you, between your legs. “Closer.”
“But-"
“But what?” Your skirts already half way ridden up and you stare him down, keeping your eye contact intense.
“We’re in p-public. Anyone can see.”
You know hes blushing when you see the tips of his ears peek out, bright red. Aw, he’s nervous? Embarrassed? Shy?
“You’re never seeing me after this Choi. Make of it what you can or piss off.”
His eyes widen comically at that. “What? What does that mean? Are you leaving me?”
You can’t decipher or understand why exactly hes so surprised but you shake it off, you don’t want your good time to be spoiled. Not when your underwears’ already sticking to your pussy seeing him on his knees, on the ground, with his ripped baggy jeans, no doubt a pavement burn getting to him. “Are you going to eat me out or should I get up and leave?”
He shakes his head vehemently, hands on your knees spreading your legs. “Sorry, ‘m sorry. Don’t leave. Gonna make you feel good, promise.”
He’s already rambling like he’s dumbed out, like he’s about to be a goner. But he’s still hesitant in his actions and you groan, throwing your head back. “What the fuck Beomgyu?”
A pout rests on his lips, “I—…I don’t want anyone seeing you..”
You think he’s giving a fuck for your decency, you think its about you for once. But then another thought pops up in your head and your lips twitch. It’s not for you. It’s for him. He doesn’t want any possible pedestrian to see what only him so far has been able to see.
This isn’t worth it.
You make an attempt to get up before Beomgyu immediately has you sit back down, wasting no time to press his face between your legs, skirt over his head. His tongue pokes out to lick on over your panties, gradually wetting it and you sigh, the tenseness of your body evaporating. “Yeah, thats it. Be good for me pup.” He whines at that.
Beomgyu doesn’t tease any longer the moment your hands go to grab his hair because suddenly he bunches your panties to the side and you feel the contact of his hot tongue on your cunt, already lapping away like a dog. Dumb dog. Dumb dog. Dumb dumb dumb—but shit he’s having you curl your toes at the speed he’s going, the way he moans against your pussy like hes somehow enjoying eating you out more than you are.
“You’re my toy, nothing else. But you just keep—you keep irritating me, you keep being a dick, you keep provoking me.” you breathe out, tightening your fistful of his hair in your hand, making his moans even louder, nuzzling closer in your pussy you think he might genuinely suffocate at this point. But knowing him, he’d probably like that. “God, you absolute loser.”
He whines something intelligible, wet eyes looking up at you with his brows pulling up—it makes you gasp as you bite down on your bottom lip. He’s so pretty it’s unfair. Why’s such a sinful person so pretty? God must really have the time of his life making this hell for you.
You take it upon yourself to lift yourself a bit, grinding on his face harder, trying to reach your high, obstructing your view of his face—even with the anxiety of doing this so out in the open resting at the pit of your stomach. He’s practically mewling in your pussy, and the sounds send vibrations, his nose bumping up your clit every now and then. He lets you use him, he just lets you.
When Beomgyu fully submits like this to you…you see stars, you come hard. “More…more”, he groans, licking up your arousal. It’s so dirty, it really is, but you can’t help but nod.
Having the skater eat you out till your legs were jelly at a skatepark late at night would surely guarantee your place in hell.
“You’re such a whore, letting me fuck your face like this baby—don’t soil your pants yet, I know how you get. Probably getting off at the fact that we’re out l-like this…h-hah—dirty, dirty boy.”
He shakes his head, the glistening sweat of his forehead and the matted strands on his temple proof of how hard hes really going at it. “Not dirty. Just wan’ your attention..”
The second you tut at him for stopping he immedietely dives back in—you don’t know if it’s more him being afraid of a punishmet or because he himself doesn’t want to stop. Never mind that, because now hes wrapping his pretty lips around your clit and you’re fucking losing your mind with how quick your head clouds.
There are so many things circling your head right now. And this always happens whenever he starts talking during a hook up. Yes, it helps you get to an edge even faster but its for all the wrong reasons. He’d dirty talk for a bit before switching up, and suddenly all of his words are loving and cute and adorable and, and that’s bad. When you see him other than the image he’s curated for himself—that’s when you start feeling the unfamiliar butterflies fluttering.
You don’t like it. He’s not good for you.
“Stop thinking, only focus on me.” You gasp, your fingers digging into his tangled hair, disheveling it even more. Only him.
He makes you orgasm again, and when you catch your breath you gently push his head away, then harder when he can’t seem to stop kissing your inner thighs. He sighs, dropping it, but not without giving you one last puppy plea. You avoid his eyes, pulling your panties up and scoping around the area, all of a sudden feeling exposed. Did you really just let this punk eat you out on a staircase?
You stand up, dusting your ass, taking note of the redness of his knees and the large wet patch in between his crotch when Beomgyu follows, getting up from his knees, wiping his ridiculously wet lips. You tuck a strand behind your ear as you awkwardly stand, thinking over what you’re going to say now.
We’re over, bye.
I’ll go home now, don’t call me.
I hope you know how bad you messed up. Bye.
I’m blocking you on everything so don’t even think of contacting me.
“Don’t leave me.”
…That has you snap out of your reverie.
His voice is low, no doubt vulnerable. This is the worst. This is bad. Shit.
You clear your throat. “Why? Why shouldn’t I? Even if I didn’t want to I’d have to…my dad knows about you now because of the little stunt you pulled and he definitely doesn’t approve of you.” You mumble the last part, crossing your arms and keeping your distance. But that’s not of any use when he steps forward every time you take a step back.
“I’m—” He runs a hand through his hair again, clearly frustrated. And you don’t understand why, does he really operate life thinking there aren’t consequences to his actions? If he didn’t want to stop this so bad why’d he tell people about your relationship when you explicitly told him not to? “We can—we can do it in secret like we did this entire time. He doesn’t have to know.”
You sigh, also frankly frustrated. “Beomgyu! Why can’t you just-"
Suddenly you’re in his embrace, engulfing you so gently and yet the desperation in it couldn’t have been any more tighter. “Please, please don’t leave me. I’m sorry. I’ll—I’ll really do everything you want, I’ll be your toy, your pet, whatever shit you’re into—just don’t leave me."
You really shouldn’t give in. You really, really shouldn’t.
But then he nuzzles into your neck, mumbling with that slight whiny drawl in his tone, “I’ll be your good boy, I promise. Won’t misbehave anymore.”
Of course you give in. Again.

hi babe! can i request Remus with a reader who has naturally curly hair? i always straighten mine and hardly wear it natural unless im feeling brave 😭 everyone always gets so shocked when they see it but I hate it
hiii omg I am so very jealous of curlyheads, my hair is so flat and boring lol. curly hair is so so gorgeous and I’m sure it suits you so much!! thank you for you request, hope this is okay!
remus lupin x curly-haired!reader
You’re seriously considering calling off your date with Remus.
It’s not that you don’t want to go. You’ve been looking forward to seeing him all day, thinking about his lovely smile and the slope of his nose, the clothes he wears and the way he says your name. You like him a lot, and you want him to like you, too.
Hence why you got up two hours earlier than usual this morning, to pick out an outfit and straighten your hair before work, so you wouldn’t have to worry about it after. It’s only your third date with Remus, and he hasn’t seen your hair curly yet — you’d wanted to keep it that way. Only, it poured down on your walk to the bus after work, and your hair got drenched.
By the time you were home your curls had bounced right back up, and you had little time to tame them. You’ve done your best, but Remus will be here in ten minutes, and you’re panicking.
You run around your apartment with no real direction, going from mirror to mirror, desperately trying to flatten it with your various oils and mousses, but it’s still so curly. You’re just about to text him and cancel out of panicked desperation when there’s a knock on your door.
You know it’s Remus, you can tell by the way he knocks. He’s early.
“One minute!” You call out. You check your reflection one last time and decide, woefully, that you’ll just have to face him with your mane of curly hair. You don’t have any other choice than to grab your bag, and hope Remus doesn’t mind having a lion for a date.
When you open the door, Remus is fiddling with the zip on his jacket.
“Sorry I’m early,” he’s saying, distracted with his jacket. “I misjudged the— woah.”
You shrink back. He’s staring at you, really staring. You consider closing the door in his face.
“I know, it’s awful,” you say quickly, before he can say anything. Your hand flies to your hair, as if you can do anything to save it now. “I straightened it, but then it got wet, and I didn’t have time to—“
“Dove.” Remus cuts you off, gentle but firm in his own way. He takes your wrist in his hand, encouraging it away from your head lest you start abusing your hair again. “What are you talking about?”
“My hair,” you bemoan. “It looks crazy.”
Remus’ brow pinches like he’s confused. “No it doesn’t. You look beautiful.”
You make a sound somewhere between a moan of despair and a stutter of surprise. Remus steps closer to you, your wrist still in his hand.
“Is that your natural hair?” He asks. You watch his eyes as they move in a sort of halo around your head and you know he’s studying your curls. You’d like to say he’s admiring them, but you’re not sure.
“Yes,” you say quietly. “I look like a lion.”
Remus laughs, but not cruelly. “What?” He asks, genuinely clueless.
You gesture weakly to your hair with your free hand, as if to explain. Remus just shakes his head.
“You don’t look like a lion,” he says simply. “It’s really pretty. How come you’ve never worn it like this before?”
Because you feel prettier with straight hair. Because you hate taking up space, and you feel if you flatten out your hair you’ll take up a little less. You shrug and stare at the ground, wishing it’d swallow you up.
“Dunno. Guess I just .. don’t like it very much.”
Remus hums, like he understands, but doesn’t approve. “Well, I do.” He let’s go of your wrist and gets his hand under your jaw instead, encouraging you up to look at him.
“Were you really worried about what I’d think?” He asks, brown eyes kind.
You were, a bit. But you shouldn’t have been. By the way he’s looking at you, you guess that he’d think you were beautiful even if you went bald.
“I— no. Maybe a little bit.” You cringe. “Sorry.”
“Don’t apologise,” Remus says, a little indignant. “What’re you sorry for?”
You’re getting shyer and shyer every word he says, your heart pitter-pattering in your chest.
“I don’t know,” you say. You sound a bit strained, like you might cry, which is horrifying. You swallow the feeling down. “I thought maybe you wouldn’t like it.”
Remus makes a tutting sound. “Y/N,” he says, exasperated now. He gets both hands on your face, your cheeks warm. “Do you have any idea how beautiful you look? You know, my best friend James has wildly curly hair, and I’ve always been so jealous of it I sometimes want to rip it off his head.”
It’s a funny compliment, but you know he means it as a genuine one. You suddenly realise you’ve been a bit foolish.
“Right,” you say, and give an awkward chuckle.
“I’d never do such a thing to you, of course,” Remus says, grinning. “But it sure is beautiful. It suits you, dove.”
Carefully, he brushes a curl from your face, tucking it behind your ear with so much care it almost aches.
You’ve never felt prettier.

“you must be absolutely fried, ain’t hear a thing i just said.”
you perk up against the wall, half-lidded eyes lifting up from the ground to follow the familiar sound of your boyfriend’s voice at your side. as your eyes met, your gaze instinctively narrowed to examine his face, gauging the look of mischief behind those rounded glasses he wore. you were high as all hell, no doubt about it. droopy eyed, excessively dry lips and parched throat, gravity weighing itself on you unlike anything you’ve felt before; aside from when you’re stoned.
“huh?” you bat your lashes, brows creased a look of iminiate confusion as you attempt to decipher his sentence. which worked, partially. “—so you aren’t? and don’t say it like that, makes me feel self conscious.”
gojo chuckles a delightful sound at your side and you lick your lips, an otherwise seamless ‘keke’ swelling a fluttering sensation to sit at your chest, traveling throughout your nerves before shooting down directly in between your legs. you click your tongue, displeased with how easy you’ve become, deciding to blame your alerted state of mine.
“my tolerance isn’t all that low, been there done that, though i only ever take part in this sort of thing unless i’m with you or suguru.” he explains beside you, blabbering off about god knows what at this point, presumably ignorant to the effects his voice alone has on you. you refuse to look his way, tired eyes focused on the bare wall ahead of you.
“wouldn’t that make your tolerance lower than mine?” you mutter to yourself, unaware of the fact you spoke aloud. you fold your arms over your chest, gulping down the lump in your throat as you stare ahead. or so you tried, your eyes were barely open, not to mention disinterested in an empty wall.
what you really wanted was your legs wrapped around his neck, mindless whimpers muffled against your throbbing cunt, echoing against your ears as you used his tongue to your heart’s content. not that you would say any of that, though.
gojo fell silent for a moment, piercing blue eyes poking holes through your side profile even behind the glasses. “eh, i suppose.” he shrugged, shuffling against the wall as he took a step closer. “how come i’m staring at half a face, hm? you shy now?”
“the fuck? no,” you immediately blurted out in a means to supposedly defend yourself, lips etching into a distasteful frown; resembling a mean mug with the way you do it. “i’m in deep thought. thinking, in simpler terms for you.” you were snappy in your response, masking what proved to be factual behind an attitude.
gojo hummed a response, his presence looming over your side as he drew closer. “look at me.”
you gulped once more, soothing an itchy throat as you angled your neck to the side, instantly met with the realization of how close he’d gotten. your eyes widened as a gasp caught in your throat, effectively startled. your mind began to race for a bit, the events of just a few seconds prior and the present moment meshed a foggy blur, you found yourself wondering how long the two of you had been standing there.
though, the heavy atmosphere packed with an intense sexual tension between the two of you quickly redirected your attention. an exaggerated ‘damn’ pulled from his lips as they quirked into a toothy grin, his hand lifting to gently tuck your hair off to the side. “your eyes are bloodshot red! it’s kinda cute though, i dunno.” he teased; and to which you swatted his hand away. being the only one baked out of your mind was already bad enough, but of course, who would he be if he didn’t tease you for it.
“you piss me off.” you leisurely shook your head, eyeing your boyfriend up and down, giving him the nastiest look to prove a point.
gojo raised a brow as his grin shamelessly deepened, visibly amused by your frustration. he moved in closer, as close as the two of your bodies would allow before his hands were wrapped around your waist, pressing your back against the wall. his lips morphed an ‘i’m sorry.’ against the heat of your neck, his nose nudged beneath your jawline as he drew in a deep inhale, followed by a relieved sigh as he shrunk against you. he’s always loved your scent, you knew that.
he peppered small pecks along your neck, quickly transitioning to open mouthed kisses as he traveled downwards, focusing on the area right above your breast. you nipped at your bottom lip, angling your head to the side as an invitation; permission to keep going. his teeth gently grazed your skin to serve as a warning, promptly bracing you before sinking into your skin, electing a sharp hiss from you.
your hand flew up to the nape of his neck, fingers gliding upward to clench around his white locks, holding him in place as your eyes fell to a close. though your efforts proved meaningless as he promptly pulled away, dipping down to praise your stomach with gentle kisses as he positioned himself on his knees.
you blinked down at him, squinting as your reddened eyes met with the air, your hands now resting at his shoulders. gojo made quick work of your shorts, tossing the article of clothing once you’ve stepped out of them. he then leaned forward, warm palms placed at each side of your hips as his lips hovered your clothed clit, pools of your arousal staining the fabric of your panties.
his tongue finally laid flat against your clit, and you panicked, yelping as if you’d seen a ghost. gojo pulled back to look at up you, startled by the tone of your exclamation.
“that!—wait, it feels weird. i can’t really feel it like usual, so are you sure you wanna keep going?” you huffed, half-lidded eyes searching for his. truthfully, you could feel it. it felt even better than usual, almost as if you took an aphrodisiac, and the intensity of it all freaked you out.
“can’t feel it?” he analyzed, brows raised as he gaped up at you. after a short pause he resumed the previous laps of his tongue, lathering the surface of your clothed cunt, collecting every inch of you on his tongue. “you can’t feel this?” he muffled against you, barely audible as he explored what felt like every bit of your pussy. even over your panties.
your left hand flew up to cover your mouth with a slap, a low, guttural moan muffled against your palm. your hips rolled against his tongue, sparks of pleasure erupting in jolts throughout your lower abdomen as you shivered. his hand slid beneath your upper thigh, lifting one of your legs over his shoulder and providing you with extra wiggle room in the process.
with your lack of an answer to his question he pulled back, replacing his mouth with his thumb, teasing your throbbing nub in circular motions. he lifted his gaze, exacting eye contact with you. “want me to stop since you can’t feel it?”
you sighed into your palm, the loss of his tongue leaving your soaked core vulnerable to the cold air. you slowly shook your head, sluggish in the motions, eyes silently pleading with his. his head titled to the side, gaze flickering away from your eyes to briefly glance at the hand clasped tightly around your jaw. “move your hand,” his index and middle finger gently pinched around your folds, shifting up and down. “c’mon, talk to me. tell me what you want.”
though you wish you had the resolve to be stubborn, you swiftly removed your hand as instructed. you took a shallow breath in, choked up halfway through as the pallets of his tongue pressed against your clit once more. “i—okay, i can feel it. please don’t stop.” you managed with a hiss, prodding fingertips digging into the flesh of your upper thigh.
gojo seemed content with your plea, swiftly pulling your panties to the side and ogling at the bare sight of you. his tongue dove in-between the heat of your folds, tracing the gape of your entrance before slipping inside of you. he groaned as you shamelessly clenched around the muscle, back arching off of the wall and further into the sensations, rutting your hips against his mouth.
your heavy breaths left rigid, the pound of your heart threatening to burst through your chest, fingers clasped a tight hold around your boyfriend’s hair. his eyes never left yours, drinking up and basking in the lewd expressions you’d make, eager to pull even more from you.
your head fell against the wall with a thump, tears swelling at the corners of your eyes, completely overwhelmed but in the best possible way. “shit, i think—i’m close. i’m gonna cum.” your fingers tugged at his hair, earning a quiet whimper from the man beneath you.
“go ahead, i got you.” he reassured below you, giving the flesh of your hips a gentle squeeze.
your hips stuttered within his hold, thighs enclosing around his head with a tight squeeze as you sobbed. overbearing waves of pleasure enveloped the heat of your body, leaving your knees weak, legs trembling as they tried their best to keep you upright. gradually, your hips began to move in unison with the motions of gojo’s tongue, serving as a guide as you rode out your high.
“satoru,” you called out without reason, allowing your back to slide down against the wall once gojo had pulled away to acknowledge your call. the sight you were met with was one you’d wish you’d seen sooner; disheveled white locks poking out in each and every direction, swollen lips glossed over with your arousal, a lovely flush of red spread along the bare skin of his neck and cheeks. if you hadn’t been so exhausted, another go wouldn’t have seemed so taxing.
you raised your hands to cup his cheeks, gently kneading as if he were a stress ball. “you um.. have my cum all over your face.” you cleared your throat, eyes beaming as you marveled at the sight, dumbfounded.
“mm, and you taste good,” he smiled, his palms slinking beneath the fabric of your shirt to caress the smooth surface of your skin. he traced small shapes with his index finger along your sides, unintentionally teasing as shivers shot up your spine.
“you okay? you look absolutely gone, but completely fucked out. it’s hot.”
“..goddamn freak.”

"can i call you later?"
the wind bites at your cheeks, but the sting you feel is as much from the smile on your face as it is from the chill.
"dunno," you muse, pursing your lips as though you're contemplating the question deeply. "can you?"
rintarou groans, but the sound isn't half as plaintive as it ought to be. you watch as his head hangs down defeatedly where his frame is folded over the railing that lines the front of the train station, his body pitched forward over the barrier like he's trying to reach you on the other side.
you've been saying goodbye for the past twenty minutes—or, you've been trying to. sort of. maybe. the train you'd planned to catch has already come and gone, and the next is set to soon arrive. one more and it will be the last of the night, but not even knowing that fact seems to be moving you closer towards the door to the station—content to stay here, like this, as the wind of the late fall night nips at your cheeks and the two of you muddle through your goodbye with the inelegance of two people who couldn't be less committed to it if they tried.
rintarou lifts his head to meet your gaze.
"i mean it, though." he says. "can i call you tonight?"
your stomach flips when he looks at you this way. when he keeps looking at you this way.
"we just spent hours together," you remind him, but your words are too breathy to make impact. too elated to be reproachful.
you've been on three dates with rintarou now. you think they're dates anyway, though it's never explicitly been stated. his invitations are always casual, sandwiched in between all the other texts he sends to you these days, so you might be reading into things too closely for your own good. but dinner doesn't just feel like dinner when rintarou has this way of looking at you like you're the only person he's ever laid his eyes on.
"i know," he answers. it's not an explanation, or an excuse, or even an apology. it's plain acceptance. a shamelessness you find wretchedly endearing.
you glance back at the station behind you, biting the inside of your cheek to temper your delight.
"my train is coming," you say.
he looks a bit crestfallen. laughably glum, considering the circumstances.
you drag the heel of your shoe back ever so slightly, not quite a step—at least not in any meaningful way—but inching in the direction of the doors at a glacial pace. continental drift seems positively hasty in comparison to your retreat.
"bye," he calls, his tone dejected. you watch as he lifts his hand weakly, still slumped over the railing, and waves at you with only a few fingers raised.
you want to laugh, but your chest is so full of something else—something syrupy and fluttering and good—that it's like there's no space for it underneath your ribs.
you call back to him just before you step into the station.
"rintarou—"
there are other people around, stepping between and around you both—rushing into the station to escape the cold, or moving briskly as they brace themselves and step out into it—but you hardly notice them when your eyes meet.
you smile.
"—call me later."
he calls you almost every night after that.
even as the cool autumn winds change with the seasons; carrying flakes of snow as winter blankets nagano, warming with the spring, turning heavy with humidity in summer, and then repeating the cycle anew.
even as your reluctant goodbyes turn from late nights outside of train stations to early morning words whispered under blankets as rintarou leaves for practice or away games.
even as the uncertainty of whether or not you're getting your hopes up—of whether those meetings were even really dates at all—melts away into nothing more than a memory.
you're not even sure what the two of you manage to spend so much time talking about on the phone. nothing, really. everything in its own right. rintarou's phone calls are something you come to look forward to at the end of a long day. something you anticipate when you have exciting news to share. a comfort when you're missing him and a relief when you need him most.
"is that the last one?" you ask, turning just in time to see your boyfriend—your live-in boyfriend now, officially—flop back on the sofa after he drops the last moving box atop the stack piled near the balcony door.
"yeah," he wheezes, evidently winded from the exertion—from the exhaustion—of moving house. you laugh a bit to yourself as you shuffle over to the sofa, leaning over the back so you can peer down at him where he lays sprawled against the cushions.
"aren't you a professional athlete?" you tease him. "shouldn't you have better stamina?"
rintarou cocks a brow, something sly swimming behind his gaze.
"i need better stamina?" he drawls. "you're usually complaining about the opposite."
you roll your eyes in the wake of his remark, grabbing a throw pillow from beneath his head and yanking it from under him unceremoniously, only to press it lightly against his face.
you shuffle back towards the kitchen where you'd left the box you were unpacking abandoned. you grab a plate from inside the cardboard and turn to place it on the shelf you'd decided would house your dinnerware.
"it's late," you tell him, reaching for the next plate in the box. "you should go wash up first."
you don't get a reply, and that surprises you. you creep over to the sofa again, only to find rintarou staring up at the ceiling, lost in thought.
"hey," you laugh a little, leaning on your elbows against the back of the couch. "where'd you go?"
rintarou's gaze snaps back to yours. he still looks at you like he did on your first date. like he did outside the train station on your third. he smiles, bit it's a bit sheepish.
"sorry, was just thinking," he answers quietly. he reaches up from where he's lying on his back, brushing his thumb against your cheek. his smile turns a little bit giddy, then. boyishly charming. "can't believe we finally got a place together."
you lean into his touch, huffing a little breath through your nose—halfway to a laugh.
"guess you won't have to call me anymore," you joke, and rintarou's expression changes—falls slightly—but only for a moment. you realize what you've said, or at least think about the implications more, and you sort of understand the shift.
you fell in love through those phone calls.
you'll miss them—the ritual, the familiarity, the comfort—even though you know they've been replaced by something better.
you turn your face, pressing a fleeting kiss to rintarou's palm. "go wash up," you tell him again, heading back towards the kitchen and your (now twice abandoned) box of plates.
he seems to heed your advice this time, peeling himself up off the sofa and shuffling off in the direction of the washroom.
"don't use all the hot water!" you call after his retreating frame, and you hear him reply noncommittally under his breath before the door clicks closed behind him.
you've only got three dishes left to unpack before your box is emptied, but the shelf you'd been organizing doesn't seem to want to accommodate all of your bowls in the way you wanted, so you're left arranging and rearranging them as you try to find a way to get them to fit.
in the back pocket of your jeans, your phone begins to ring. with three plates balanced in one hand, you reach for it with the other—the movement muscle memory now, instinct more than volition, after all this time. you answer the call without even looking at the screen, holding the phone between your ear and your shoulder as you continue juggling the dishes in front of you.
"oop—hello?"
you pause after you answer the call, realizing for the first time that you shouldn't be getting a call at all. not at this time of night. not in this apartment.
the line is quiet, just the sound of breathing that you could recognize anywhere to be heard from the other end of the call.
"why are you calling me?" you ask rintarou, but the words are light. too fond to be reproachful.
you hear rintarou laugh—from the other end of the call and from the other side of the bathroom door.
"just wanted to hear your voice," he answers you (the same way he has a thousand nights before when you've asked him that same question.)
"you're ridiculous," you tell him, completely enamoured.
"i know," he replies.
it's quiet for a moment as the two of you stand on opposite sides of your apartment. on opposite ends of your call.
you shift a stack of bowls a little to the left. it all fits now. just the way you wanted it to.
"y'know, the hot water won't run out as fast if we shower together—"
you hear the bathroom door open, and when you look over your shoulder, rintarou is peeking at you from around the edge of the door—his phone held to his ear, a smile on his face you know is mirrored on your own, and a look in his eye that's never once wavered.
he tilts his head.
"—wanna join me?"
