Those words were oddly soft and gentle coming from Yohanan. Yet Wrenn still flinched away, trying to cower away. He buried his face, wanting to snap those walls back up and demand they all leave him alone. That he didn't want nor need their kindness.

That he didn't deserve it.

Maybe those words slipped out, somehow, without him noticing. There was a hush among the crowd around him now, with only the sound of rustling leaves and bodies shuffling.

“Don't think for even a second that you have to prove something to me. I like you just the way you are,“ says Nasrin.

Nasrin spoke first, of reassurance, of praise. To comfort him, surely, but it only made more tears fall from his eyes.

Like him??? How could anyone like him? They heard the rumors, didn't they?

"You don't know what you're talking about," Wrenn managed to growl out. "You--you don't know anything about me... Not really."

He heard someone respond with, "That doesn't sound right."

To which he shook his head.

"I'm a monster," Wrenn whispered. "You know--all of you, you all know, don't you? Then why..."

"Why?" Someone echoed, but through the throbbing in his own chest, Wrenn couldn't make out who it was. "Why what? You've been nothing but good to us. What makes you such a monster, anyway?"

"Sometimes your brain will lie to you and tell you bad stuff, but it's not true. It's never as bad as it seems," says Farbod.

"Ghh..."

Such ignorant kindness--how could they all be such fools? Did they not understand who they were talking to? Wrenn couldn't understand it. After everything that happened...

"He's right," Someone else chimed in. "Things are not as bad as they seem... and you really have been good to us--all of us."

"But... we understand if you don't believe it just yet," another person added. "We can head on back, maybe get you some fresh water."

“And If you're not ready, we can wait," says Hayyan. “You don't need to worry. You're safe with us,“ says Futuh, puffing up his chest.

"You... you all..."

Wrenn wanted to tell them so desperately that they were wrong. That he was dangerous, that he should be despised. They in the echo of the voices who currently gave their love to him, he remembered the voices of a family.

A family who had loved him just as much. A family who saw him as one of their own--and once more, it was happening all over again.

It was terrifying. It was horrifying.What if these people got hurt? What if they got hurt because of him? How could they know so much, and yet so little? He was dangerous to be around.

Wasn't he?

Over and over, again and again, the people of Gandharva Ville told him no, no you are not dangerous. They told him yes, yes you are cherished. They told him yes, you are one of us.

And yes, we love you.

He broke down in tears once again, his chest heaving heavily with hiccups and sobs.

Someone who was sitting next to him started tracing their hand along his back. He didn't flinch.

He only quietly cried, terrified that something in his chest wanted to accept their warmth so badly, and that he couldn't stop it.

The twinkling constellations of the sky, in his heart--the fates of himself and the people of this place, they were shining the same as they did the day the miners took him into their arms.

... Yes, for all of the doubt placed into his mind, these people were his family--and Gandharva Ville was his home.

Home.

He was home.

He finally found his home.

Levi is so clingy in the morning-

As soon as you move to get up, or your alarm goes off and you mumble “….time to get up.” Levi’s arms wrap around you tighter and he lets out a huffy little sigh…not actually saying anything, just trying to keep you in bed. You’re so warm and the blankets are so comfy…..he know it's time for you to get up, both of you actually.

But he doesn’t want to lose you, not yet. he knows the second you get out of bed he has to share you for the rest of the day, fighting for your attention.

And it’s just not fair!! He’ll miss your warmth and he always craves your attention, your scent, your touch- just you. Even if he knows he’ll see you later it’s not the same. so every morning he tries to keep you in bed just a little longer…..just keep your attention on him for a few more minutes.

and you know he’ll do it every morning so you just sigh and kiss his forehead, “Come on, guppy….I have to go….”

niku’s gojo in general is one of my favorites ever ever ever but i’m specifically adding a link to bten because . bten lives in my brain <3 and i adore both bten!reader & bten!gojo more than anything….. ANYWAY . niku’s gojo is my favorite for many reasons but above all else he just…. feels so real to me . sometimes i have to remind myself that i’m reading a fic and not canon content bc her gojo just FEELS like gojo . it’s a little scary. i read bten and heard kaiji tang’s voice in my ear 😭 i think it’s sooo difficult to capture the balance that canon!gojo has, but niku does it so effortlessly!!! he’s so charming and guarded and annoying and kind beneath it all and i’m just….. in love with him . that’s all. i do want to strangle him just a tiny bit but mostly i want to kiss him.

sel’s col!gojo…. my baby my husband the loml. i adoreeeee sel’s take on gojo and the way he views/approaches love ….. and just like niku her gojo feels so real and so grounded!!!! sel has a way of rounding out her characters and making them feel so human, which i. adore. and it works so well with gojo. col!gojo is canon to me idc. he’s so relatable to me and following his story with col!reader was just so touching 🥹🥹 i . cried . every time he blushed or got flustered i fell to my knees . flustered gojo is really hard to get right i think??? bc it’s just….. such a rare mood from him. but it feels so perfect in her fics. col!gojo reminds me of a plant in the softest, most loving way and i just want him to grow and embrace the sun !!!!!!!! i want him to be happy….

another general pick; alexis’s gojo!!!!!! (link goes straight to my personal fav which is a very bold statement to make but i think abt this fic constantly)…. this is another gojo that just feels. so canon to me somehow???? every time i read her gojo fics i’m just like yeah…. that’s gojo satoru. that’s the gojo satoru that i love and adore. it always reminds me of WHY i love him sm and it’s just….. such a wonderful feeling yk??? alexis rlly captures what i perceive as the core of his character!!!!! i can’t tell you what it is exactly but i feel that so strongly!!!!! he’s my baby and i love him so so bad. he makes me so happy and he feels so human:((((( i just love him…. him and his self-destructive little habits….. also special shoutout to idol!gojo bc he’s just soo. yeah.

then we have io’s flower shop!satoru <333 the fic isn’t out as of rn, but i added a link to a snippet that i’m still swooning over….. i ADORE this concept and it’s so perfect for io’s gorgeous and flowery writing!!!! he was made for her fr…… i just really love the idea of a soft, gentle, smitten satoru 🥺 and him being a flower boy rlly scratches an itch in my brain because of his canon ties to flowers!!! the fact that he kind of views other people as flowers. or at least compared them to flowers in ch. 236….. i just feel like this concept is . genius. nature loves satoru and he loves it back . he’s a nurturing soul at his core imo and that’s not something i see people explore super often, but this au captures it perfectly <33

lily’s poseidon!suguru stole my heart very recently and i have ….. not stopped thinking of him since. i love any take on suguru as a god and lily’s version is just so genius . suguru being a god of the sea????? it’s perfect….. and the fact that he’s so gentle and coaxing and sweet 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 just the way he speaks in this drabble had me captivated he is truly the god of all time….. and his DESIGN . the concept in itself. i know for a fact that he’s the most stunning man you’ll ever see. he’s so almighty and powerful and he speaks so softly and gently but you hear every word crystal clear because he just has this Presence…… i rlly can’t stop thinking about him.

not sure if my ask sent BUT I’m loving people being vocal about the fandom not caring about eddie outside of buddie. it’s been happening since the dawn of time (lol) and there’s a reason so many vocalists about eddie decided to be loud and obnoxious about it (including yours truly). his journey is nuanced and he’s such a good character to explore a straight-maybe to bucksexual love with but it will take TIME for anything to happen because of that journey. still. you said eddie rights and i love that.

This is the only ask I got from you, so it probably got lost in the blue void if you sent something else. But absolutely, something I noticed during the hiatus, because while I have been lurking around the fandom since season 5, I only really started to actively post thoughts and stuff after the lightning, so I spent a really long time observing people even more when I started posting random metas, or just thoughts, people have this almost pathological need to make everything about Eddie about Buck. I legit remember making a post about Shannon and blocking several people because they kept making what happened with Shannon about Buck, and that's not it. Eddie is a FASCINATING character. He is so nuanced. And he is so well written and acted out. Like, I was casual about the show until fear-o-phobia (tbf that was the 3rd episode I watched live but still). Eddie grabbed me by the throat that day. And there's so much that people give Buck a pass that they would NEVER give to Eddie. And there's so much to explore with him. And yeah, I think his queer journey will involve Buck somehow, but because I truly believe that man is demi and I don't care about anything else. Making him have a complicated relationship with attraction as a whole is so much more interesting than saying he's just looking for a beard his whole life. And the amount of people I saw picking fights about people not shipping Buck and Tommy because "they have this need that Eddie should be the only man for Buck" (when literally everyone in the fandom hc Buck 1.0 as having slept with guys too) that are people I had seen saying that Eddie only ever loved Buck, straight up erasing the whole concept that he might've been in love with his wife is wild. If Eddie is not adding something to Buck and this idea that Buck is this baby that needs to be protected and can do no wrong, then he is being unnecessary or ooc or just plain weird and THAT'S WILD. Sure Buck and Eddie have a compelling relationship, and I LOVE exploring the possibilities around how much Eddie loves Buck, but Eddie exists for more than loving Buck and both of them exist outside of each other. Honestly, right now, Eddie needs some defenders because it's rough out here. If people can pick fights about Buck the way they do, Imma do the same about Eddie. If people don't agree then that's their problem.

Why does Batman have his no killing rule? Is it due to how back then there were rules comic book creators had to follow or something? Also why did Damian think that adoption was not considered “real” family?

No so got confirmation of this a while back batman and his no killing rule predates the comics code - on a meta context having the hero have a no kill rule is easier as killing off villains and having to come up with new iconic ones constantly would just be painful especially when you have someone like batman who's villains are half the appeal the other option would be to come up with a reason for why the villains aren't being killed and that's basically what the no kill rule is there to do - the in universe explanation is that batman a good guy I don't know why people don't seem to understand this but killing another person 99% of the time is wrong and Bruce himself has a strong belief in humanity he believes anyone can change for the better there's also just what gives Bruce the right to kill another person why should 1 person get to be judge jury and executioner?

Damian doesn't think that adoption isn't real family he used to talk about being the blood son but that was more just him thinking he was superior to all of Bruce's adopted children and was more seen early on, it's also more to do with dcs writers bias considering alot of them don't see adoption as real family hence why we now have jon Kent and Diana's new child
