AiDeku Soulmate AU with Color Sight ?
Izuku hummed to himself as he adjusted the cat ears he wore on his head. Working at a cat cafe paid good money, money he wouldn’t expect being Wuirkless. Though he supposed that since it was a different universe he’d have to expect it.
“How do I look?” He asked his other self. The teen girl looked up from feeding her daughter to study him.
“You look good pops,” Izumi grinned. “Maybe today you’ll meet your soulmate!”
“Maybe,” Izuku laughed. He didn’t expect it. He got lucky he’d landed in a world with soulmates like his own had, especially with the same trigger. Running from his world had been a choice, and his destination wasn’t anything he could control. But he liked his new life. A far cry from the former villain on the run from Nomu in his pat. He even managed to get custody of his female self, the teenager suffering under her mother.
Izuku knew he wouldn’t find his soulmate in his new world. He probably caused the death of whoever it was in his old world. He’d been a villain, causing chaos and death. He helped Shigaraki release the Nomu. He killed heroes. He didn’t deserve to have a soulmate, not when he’d only stopped because he realized Shigaraki planned to destroy the whole world.
Izuku walked out of the back room of the cafe to begin his shift, happy his boss let Izumi stay in the back. He got to the counter and began the task of taking orders and ringing things up. It was a few hours later when it happened. The door opened and Izuku looked up to see a familiar face. Except it wasn’t.
As soon as Izuku locked eyes with Aizawa Shouta, ripples began flowing through the other. Grey, black and whites were changing. Izuku’s mouth dropped open as the world changed. Aizawa’s own wide eyes made it clear it wasn’t a one-sided bond.
“Colour?” Izuku choked out. His coworker froze, wiping her head around to stare. Aizawa opened and closed his mouth before giving a short nod. Izuku’s hands shook.
He… he didn’t deserve this. He didn’t. He should… she shouldn’t…
“Hi,” the hero said. “I’m Aizawa Shouta.” He looked at Izuku so hopefully that there really wasn’t a choice.
“Midoriya Izuku.” Izuku smiled, with a small ray of hope despite his fears.

Going way back to the start with how Scar became Father Spore.
Some info about the hive mind/source first though: The initial source is just weird mutated mycelium, which has some advanced intelligence, it can’t rival a human’s, nor can it spread as easily. Hence why when it senses Scar, it tries to take him over. At the start, the source is in complete control, but it doesn’t take long for Scar to figure out how to take primary control instead. It’s around then when he takes the moniker Father Spore. Scar is very protective/defensive over the source, since it still is what keeps the whole hive mine alive. It’s in the center of the resistance’s territory and completely hidden. Only Scar knows where it’s located, so he’s the only one infected by the source, hence why he’s the strongest of the infected.
—————
Scar walks through a trail in the woods, lost in thought over the recent events. While Scar isn’t happy about losing the mayoral campaign, he’s also not angry or spiteful about it either. He couldn’t be anyway, those are still his friends, no matter what. Although he isn’t sure what to do now.
He’s so lost in thought, that he doesn’t realized he’s strayed from the trail until he trips over a root. Abruptly pulled from his thoughts, he pushes himself up and looks around him, quickly realizing that he has no idea where he is. After looking around for a bit, he picks a direction he thinks will take him back to the trail and starts walking.
This proves to be the wrong direction as the ground suddenly caves beneath Scar’s feet. He yelps in shock as he completely falls through, landing hard on the ground below. Once the daze clears, he feels a strong, sharp pain in his leg. He looks over at it, fearing the worst, being surprised when it looks fine. Of course, looking fine doesn’t mean anything.
Scar glances around the area he fell in, it’s a small cave with mushrooms sprouting along the walls, the only light being from where Scar fell in. He looks up, coming to the unfortunate realization that he definitely can’t climb back out that way. In the darkness, he can see the cave going deeper.
It’s probably extremely unwise to travel farther into a dark cave, but it’s not like sitting around will help him escape. He pushes himself to his feet, leaning on the wall for a support. The longer he stares into the darkness, the more details he notices. Mainly because some of the mushrooms have started glowing.
Without another thought, he begins walking down the ominously lit tunnel. The longer Scar walks, the more he notices just how many mushrooms are covering the walls and floor. Especially the farther he goes through, the glowing ones especially growing in number and… intensity in their glow. He’s beginning to think staying put might have been better.
Scar pauses when he comes across a fork in the tunnel, one is almost completely dark, while the other continues to have the glowing mushrooms. On one hand, the light is nice; on the other, this situation is starting to feel incredibly creepy and ominous.
Before he can come to a decision, he hears something call to him, beckoning to him. Almost in a trance, he continues to follow the glowing mushrooms.
Scar’s only faintly aware of how it’s getting harder to breath the deeper he goes, of how there’s an unrecognizable taste to it. He soon arrives to a room that is extremely stuffy and heavy. It is also extremely dense with mushrooms and mycelium. There’s something tangible, but unplaceable, in the air.
Scar steps farther into the small room, looking around it, breathing in the… spores? He stumbles against a wall, everything feeling dizzy suddenly. He slowly falls to the ground, collapsing on the mushroom strewn floor as he loses consciousness.
When Scar returns to consciousness, everything feels clearer and more refreshing. Looking around the room, he notices that most of the mushrooms have stopped glowing, only emitting a faint light now. Despite this, he can see everything in near perfect detail.
As Scar stands up, he notices a humming in the air, a humming under his skin. A connection to everything around him. It’s invigorating, but it’s also lacking. He can only feel throughout this small cave system, Scar really thinks there should be more. That it should be spread even farther. The humming increases, as if agreeing with that idea.
Scar casts another glance around the cave, breathing in that spores deeply. He’s going to need to make some friends to help him out, and maybe even request his previous ones to join him. He begins going down the tunnel to the exit, he has a job to do.
