Notes: FYI i wrote this quickly because it was stuck in my head. It's unedited. I hope you like it. OC is an undescribed and unnamed woman. (this is what happens when I get jjk issues for xmas and stickers for various animes lol)

He doesn’t know what it is about her. It’s not like she’s anywhere close to his level or even Suguru’s, but he can’t stop from reaching out to her, making her react to him. 

He just likes how she snaps, shoves him away and glares at him. They both know she can’t hurt him, but that doesn’t stop her from threatening to find a way. It’s not just her violence that he likes. He is one of the few people who get to see how soft she can be, the way she runs her fingers through her hair, and how she smiles at the students and offers help. 

“Just ask her out already,” Suguru said, back when they were students, before everything went wrong. 

“Someone as weak as her?” Satoru scoffed. “I can do better.” 

“You can do worse,” Suguru pointed out. “Least she’s cute.” 

“Little young, don’t you think?”

“By two years? Perfect age difference.” 

“Come on,” Satoru dragged him away, ignoring the way his stomach clenched. “Let’s get something to eat.” 

He doesn’t want her. He doesn’t. 

“I’m busy, Gojo. Go home.” 

He lounges on her couch, watching as she continues getting ready. He feels slightly sick. Nauseous as she puts on her earrings. “Come on, what’s more important than me?”

“Despite what your ego tells you, many things.” She turns to look at him. She’s wearing this cute long black skirt that’s shorter in the front and this cream-coloured sweater that hangs off her shoulders with long sleeves. It’s cute. It reminds him of her school uniform. “I don’t have time for you, Gojo.” She only calls him by his last name when she’s upset. “Are you here for a reason or just bored? Because it’s the latter, go bother Utahime.” 

“Where are you going?” 

“Out.”

“Someone actually wants to date you?” he teases. His stomach clenches as he asks. 

“Yes,” she says. “More than once even.” 

“What?” he sits up, her words registering. “How many times have to been out with this one?” 

She doesn’t bother answering and the nauseous feeling creeps back up. His throat is tightening. He doesn’t understand. Her going out shouldn’t make him feel sick. He shouldn’t want to lock her door, make her give her date some kind of excuse and stay with him. He shouldn’t want to find her date and scare them off from ever coming near her again. 

He shakes his head, trying to ignore it. It’s because they’re friends. He’s just worried, that’s all. He doesn’t know who it is. It’s not like she’s going to leave him…like everyone has left. Utahime to Kyoto. Shoko to her work. Nanami to his non-sorcerer life. Suguru to–

“I’m leaving now,” she tells him. She’s standing by the door, waiting for him to follow so she can usher him out of her place. “Come on, I’ll text you tomorrow and you can bother me then.” 

“Tomorrow?”

“Well, I plan to be busy tonight.”

He’s going to be sick. She’s never stayed the night with one of them. Least not while he’s around. He’s always demanded all of her attention. She’s always given it. 

“Alright,” he says, standing up. He towers over her. He’s more than her in every way. Like he should be. She’s not strong like him but she doesn’t need to be. Not with her friends. Not with him. “Tomorrow.” He says it like a promise but she’s barely listening, turning to lock the door behind them. “Have fun!” he teases after he walks her out. She sticks out his tongue at him before smiling and leaving. He wants to taste her. 

The thought strikes him like a bullet, the same way Toji stabbed him all those years ago. He wants to taste her? Ridiculous. He’s never wanted her like that. He’s enjoyed playing with her but he’s never… “You should ask her out,” Shoko said. “Leave her alone,” Nanami had warned. Satoru had laughed. He didn’t want her. He just…he doesn’t want anyone else to have her either. 

The realization sits heavy in his stomach. 

If this date goes well, if she decides to keep dating this person who’s not him…he’s not going to see her as much. She’s not going to let him in the way she does now. And if she gets married? 

He’ll lose her. 

Satoru can’t let that happen. He’s not losing anyone else. Not when he wants more and he does want more. He wants everything. 

He undoes the wrap around his eyes and folds it up, trading it for his dark glasses. He’s been in denial long enough. He’s the strongest, Honoured more than any other. He gets what he wants. More importantly, Satoru knows how to play the long game. Now that he knows what he wants, he’s ready to step up the game. 

It’s time to crash a date.
