@nebel2002 I don't think you understand how much I love this, thank you. He loves PC, he is devoted to them and when he loses them he no doubt is sad but doesn't know how to handle it so he sleeps around hoping to find that same spark but never does.

Like, I'm sure Tolkien would make Narsil a sword that belongs to good guys and stuff, but the idea of Narsil being Maedhros sword (maybe even made by Fëanor himself) makes me so rabid.

Like, Elros taking the sword that caused so much pain, that belongs to someone he both loves and hates, and makes it into part of his own kingdom for the purpose of good.

That sword being then broken by Sauron and finally used to defeat him in its brokenness (something, something, the redemption in battle that Mae never gets, something, something, symbolism).

And its shard then reforged into Anduril.

thinking about how tommy is lmanburg. tommy was always lmanburg. the lmanburgians may not have always loved him, they may not have even always liked him, but without tommy there is no lmanburg. he's the heart and soul of the country. he's the embodiment of lmanburg's ideals. when tommy leaves lmanburg the country always starts going downhill. because tommy is lmanburg. tommy, when he's in lmanburg, represents the freedom and bonds and comfort that the country stands for. to remove him, to exile him, always denies that freedom. always denies that those bonds are important. tommy is lmanburg's heart. you go out on the streets and you know you're safe when you see tommy watering his plants. when you hear him singing to his flowers to make them grow faster. when there are echoes of screams and laughter and pranks that go throughout the country. he's so important to lmanburg. and without him it doesn't exist. not in the same way.

I just finished pt 2 of the next page and I cannot emphasize how throughly Peter has been scammed.

I’m sure it would actually be no problem for them to do a blood test before administering something that could make you overdose. They just saw an opportunity to make money or they didn’t care. If they can make sure Peter doesn’t overdose, it shouldn’t be a problem to make sure Slip doesn’t as well. And it was so obviously a scam, they targeted Peter while he was vulnerable, they were giving him hope to extort a child and who’s to say they’re even working on Slip? It’s been 20 years, this just reeks of those cryogenic clinics that’ll freeze your dead body. Like obviously it’s mostly like the real life burden of choosing whether or not to keep your loved one alive and on life support and accrue mountains of debt or lose them but the scam vibes have just seeped into it that much. God the guilt too, that’s another rant or maybe an angsty fic. In summary? My poor baby, I want to give Peter a hug.
