Forcing brand new WoW players to go straight into BfA is stupid in general, but especially dungeons. The only dungeons they can queue for are Battle for Azeroth dungeons. Formerly level 110-120 dungeons. Not gradually easing in with the FAR simpler classic ones.
"Ah my first dungeon! I'm nervous, but after that easy starter area, I'm sure *checks notes* Waycrest Manor will be straight forward!"
oh no.

You know what I think would be neat?
Loki, the Sky Walker himself, when he fell beyond the trees branches but before that Purple fucker could get him... felt A path, much like the hidden ones he'd wandered for YEARS, and franticly tries to catch himself.
After all, he let go in a moment of incredible emotional distress. But that moment passes. The fear kicks in. The natural, strategist's, "survival at all costs" primal drive starts SCREAMING. You grab for the ledge. Try to STOP your fall.
But~!
What if? What he was FEELING?
Was a Natural Fuckin Portal.
And Loki is no slouch! He manages to change his trajectory. His mind is still in shambles, he's an emotional wreck, mascara probably running, just? Having THE WORST month or so of his life. He's too pretty for this bullshit, he would insist, if he wasn't FALLING THROUGH THE VOID.
He's made some choices.
They may have been ill advised.
Possibly even terrible ideas, actually.
But he's come too far to die NOW. And if his brother's insane adventures and hare brained schemes haven't killed him, then THIS sure as shit won't be putting him in an graves. He refuses to allow it.
He expects to slam face first into alien dirt. At speed. It? Is going to HURT, he knows.
But that is not what happens.
He passes through a yawning portal, into Veridian skys, and slams face first into the back of passing youth. Knock BOTH of them from the sky and through several nearby floating islands.
He nearly gets punched for it.
The boy only stopping, fist merely moments from his faces, when he seems to finally register the state Loki is in. The next thing Loki knows? He's being rushed off Yeti healers. A FUSS is being made.
The youth is strong arming him into being a guest in his... frankly ALARMING home.
Loki likes the Gothic one. She seems like she bites. But the boy's parents BAFFLE him. The boy, "Danny" just? Showed up with him? And declared he was a "visiting Fenton Cousin"? SURELY that can not WORK! Boy, they are your PARENTS, they know better then YOU who is and is not rela-.....
How did that work.
No, HOW DID THAT WORK? Child answer me. And explain the violent cold meats.
Just? Loki, intellectually stimulated, like a cat in a fresh new environment. Removed from stressors. Not the strongest being around by far, but enjoying the challenge none the less. Fulfilling his life long trained role of "king's advisory" in an almost relaxed Highly Sarcastic Uncle On Vacation Who Is Also A Semi-Feral Cat sorta way to this new Child King he found.
Loved and respected for Being Loki. Just Loki. No preconceived notions to fulfill, no roles he must play, just... Be Loki.
Best part? Asgard and Thor and such? Irrelevant! Their own closed system far, far away. He's finally FREE of the shadow Asgard casts. He's taken "starting over in a new country to escape a toxic home life" to a whole new weight class unique just to him. The dude is THRIVING.
And? I bet he REALLY enjoys tormenting Vlad.

Tumblr media
warnings: almost losing a baby but thats it
Anon you have no idea how excieted i was to write this! like your brain is so massive for this im so serious. I hope you enjoy it.
It was no secret to anyone with eyes. Neteyam had eyes only for you. Much to his parents' Distaste. He had tried to reason with them that they had chosen each other. Why couldn’t he?
But it was the will of Eywa they would often say. Guiding them to a future where things were right. It would be Ku’kuri who would be by his side, they would constantly say. And while Neteyam found her nice to talk too. Great at making him laugh. She would stray her love somewhere else. She was just as much roped into it as he was.
Oftentimes covering for him when he wanted to come see You. You who were by far the most caring Na’vi he knew.
You had no ‘talent’ as his parents and grandmother put. Not a healer, Not the best warrior. But he got to see you. You were skilled in the art of making bows. Yes, not the greatest of skills. But he got to see how much love and dedication you put into etching and carving the wood into something mighty for those who came to you asking.
Not many people did ask, But when they did he watched as you got to know them. Talk to them while you were carving out the bow. Etching and putting their words, Their souls, their way of talking into the bow.
And there you were. Carving a new stroke into your own bow. Hunting wasn’t something you did often. More so for the fact that your mother brought in plenty.
“oel ngati kameie” He greeted you, as you followed his lead.
“oel ngati kameie, Neteyam” You smiled, putting down your bow and looking at him. It was no secret to you two that you had been mated for quite some time now. No one else knew. And Neteyam had thanked Eywa for ever being so kind as to allow such a bond.
He would play his part. He would until he would tell the entire world how you were his and he was yours. He would play it well.
“I have something to tell you Nete” you gingerly spoke. Avoiding eye contact as your cheeks let out the faintest of hue’s. It was like that day you had chosen each other. Finally ready to be together until your ends.
“What is it Yawnetu?” he asked, laying his head on yours. Watching as your expression changed. Smiling so brightly down at him.
Swearing he felt as if every star in the universe was smiling down at him.
“My dear I know your parents dont approve of me because of my lack of skills. And I may not be the best Tsahik option. But you have made me the happiest these last few months of our mating bond. And happier as you stood by me for so many years”
It felt like his heart was soaring up in the sky where he would often fly to get away from everyone but only think of you.
“And i hope to bring you happiness with the news I bear” you said, grabbing his hand. Kissing it before guiding it towards your naval. Your smile shining far brighter with a glow that only seemed to affect Neteyam  as he looked into your eyes for an answer
“My love?”
“I bear a child my dearest heart”
Neteyam was always a calm man. Always one to contain his excitement, or his displeasure if something ever so bothered him. It took a little longer for the words to process, Perhaps because he didn’t see it coming.
But once he did he gently rubbed your stomach. Making you let out the softest of giggles as you watched his expression brighten.
“You are with child?”
“ I am”
He couldn’t contain it. His laugh and his spirit as he picked you up and tossed you around him. Both of your laughs were so loud in the forest that it was no doubt someone ought to hear it.
Luckily no one had.
“How far along are you love?”
“Guessing by the only time we ever been intimate. four months my love”
Neteyam smiled. Kissing you as he held on so tightly. “I am happy my dear”
You smiled laughing with him as he went ahead and looked at your naval. “My little warrior”
“What are you two doing”
Startled. You two looked to your right. Neteyams family was by no means harsh or rude. But they were intimidating, As was his mother.
Her powerful eyes boring into the two of you, as Jake stood beside her. It all seem to stop. The terror and the excitement. But Neteyam could only smile.
Perhaps this was the push he wanted. Perhaps this was what was needed for his parents to finally except this relationship. So holding onto your hand and smiling gently at you he nodded.
“Y/n here is with child” Neteyam announced. Puffing out his chest. He was by no means a prideful man. But announcing you always showing you off always you, it was pride that filled his heart to call you his own. “My child”
“What?” Both his parents asked. Now frantic as they stood in front of them. Mirroring them.
Your ears dropped, Scared. Afraid and feeling so cold, A shiver ran up your spine as you stared at both parents glaring daggers.
“We have mated before Eywa many months ago. I would have told you but you always talk about Ku’kuri and-”
“Neteyam, You have disobeyed the will of Eywa.” His mother yelled  before turning to you.
“You cannot have decided on someone who offered herself to you”
“Mother!”
“Your mother is right. Son I understand loving someone but we must do things we don’t want sometimes”  Jake spoke rubbing his temples as he always had done when he was highly stressed.
Your grip on his hand tightened. Tears formed as you could only bow your head in shame.
“And you! You knew he was promised. You knew we said no. And you disobeyed rules from The Olo’eyktan!” Neytiri shouted at you.
You began to sob. Neytiri was always someone to look up to. Someone of legends just as Toruk Makto and it hurt so much to have such will and such shame cast on you “I am sorry!”
“You better be! Neteyam you are to go home and never speak to her again! I’ll ask Sa’nok how on pandora we can break this bond!”
“You Can not!  That is My child!”
“We will Take the child if it caused you less trouble, to cause!” Neytiri said. Ever the mother she was was her scorn much worse.
Jake held onto Neteyam dragging him away as he continued to argue. Beg and pray that they never lay a hand on you.
You could only choke out the sobs as you watched him be dragged away.
“You are to never come in contact with him again, Understood?”
You merely nodded. Feeling the stress and the pain of it all begin to burn you. Your heart aching with a pain you couldnt understand
“Good, stay away from my sons. And maybe i’ll be merciful on you”
You nodded. Watching as she too left.
No longer being able to hear. It felt like your whole world has killed you. Walking back home was only second nature. Walking felt like many thorns were being pushed into your legs and thighs. You felt hot and cold at the same time. Your heart was beating so fast and before you could mutter a word out to greet Ku’kuri who was right in front of you. All you could see was the world fade around you.
And ever the beat of the great mother calmed your every being.
Tumblr media
“I cannot believe you neteyam!”
“ Let me see her! That’s my mate!”
“Neteyam you have done everything we asked for until now! How could you do this?” Jake asked, pushing Neteyam back into their hut.
“You have always chosen everything for me! Why cant i have this?”
“Because it was not blessed!” Neytiri spoke now looking down on her son.
When had he grown? she wondered.
“ I dont care about anything you say anymore! Just let me be happy. All my life i’ve been stuck doing and saying everything you want me to! And if being the next Olo’eyktan is preventing this happiness fine i dont care! I dont want it anyways Just please let me see her. That’s my Mate that is my child!”
Before anyone else could speak Tuk barged in. “Kiri! Where’s kiri!” She asked frantically.
“Tuk? What’s the matter?”
“I’m here”
“Grandmother needs help! Ku’kuri brought Y/n To grandmother! She’s in bad Shape come on”
Now as much as they wanted to ignore it They couldn’t Neytiri followed her children As had Neteyam who could only function on autopilot. Where had it all gone wrong he wonders.
He stared in horror, frozen in a state of shock as he watched the women in his family help you.
He was ever so thankful that Ku’kuri had a hand to his shoulder. Keeping him grounded in the moment for he would be lost in thought.
Watching as your body convulsed and burned. Only coming out of his haze as he heard his Grandmother speak
“Eywa do not let her lose this child”
His eyes began to water, tears falling onto his hand. Ever so grateful for the friend Ku’kuri was.
The horrors he watched. He could only pray hard. Pray so hard till his lips bled and till his eyes got tired that Eywa would ever be so kind to not let anything happen to you and the babe.
It was silent, Far to quiet when you came too. You felt the rag on your forehead and your body was sore. It seemed you had done a lot of strenuous movement. Turning to your left you saw Ku’kuri who was wetting a rag before seeing you. She smiled.
You didn’t know how kind she was, Neteyam had always told you of how she would always cover for you. But finally being able to witness it first hand made you so grateful to see her face instead of Neteyam’s family.
“She’s awake” She muttered Moving your used rag and replacing it with a cold one.
You felt his hand before you saw him. His eyes were full of worry, full of sadness and pain. But you managed to make out something in them you had never seen before. Anger
“Ma Y/n”
“Neteyam” you mustered out gently. Feeling yourself begin to cry. He laid his forehead to yours. His tears rolled down your temple as you two cried together. His hand squeezing yours and you could feel his heavy sobs.
Nearly losing you two was the most heartbreak he could take. It was all he would take. He whipped his eyes looking at the other person in the little hut.
“Yes?”
“I’m taking my family away from here. Please in about a couple minutes or so. I want you to head out and in that time. I will be taking y/n away from here”
“What?”
“Where will you be going?”
Neteyams lips pressed together as he looked at you. So tired and so frail.
“I dont know yet. I’m sorry you were dragged into this”
“Never be sorry for this. This is not something to be sorry for”
She nodded. Smiling at you and squeezing your hand  before heading out “i’ll buy you some time. I wish to see you someday Neteyam, As well as you Y/n. i do hope you two are happy and well wherever you go”
Neteyam watched her go. Quickly helping you stand before offering you a piggyback ride.
You couldn’t believe what was happening. You couldn't imagine this would have happened. Only wishing you could live a simple life. Happy with him.
Tumblr media
The horn sounded. And like clockwork the Metkayina gathered to where the Ikrans have landed. Forest people weren’t uncommon. Oftentimes only ever showing up when news had to travel.
Neteyam bowed his head. Extending his hands to his sides as a form of surrender. Tail wrapped around your waist as he kept you behind him. Your shawl covered you as you looked at the sand. Ever more so upset and afraid.
“oel ngati kameie” Neteyam greeted the Olo’eyktan as he returned the greeting back.
You had never felt so small until this moment.
“oel ngati kameie, To you as well”
“I am Neteyam. I am Toruk Maktos’ firstborn” He began grabbing your shoulder as he pressed you to his side.
Your eyes looked up. Meeting the gaze of the Olo’eyktan and the Tsahik. Behind them are two young Metkayina. No doubt their children.
“I seek Uturu if you so may allow it”
There was a hushed whisper around them. Murmurs as the two looked at each other before turning to you two again.
“Has something happened to your clan?” The Tsahik asked
“No. We are safe, I seek Uturu for my family. I do not wish to say what’s happened. But my mate here Is with a child. And is no longer safe at home. We understand if you don’t allow it.” Neteyam bowed his head. His hand resting on your stomach before looking at them for an answer.
The tsahik came to you two. Analyzing you, Weak arms and tails. But she saw your pain, your exhaustion and how done you looked. “Your arms are thin. Your tail is weak. You will be weak in the water”
“We are willing to learn”
She looked at him. Sorrow follows those doomed to never follow their hearts.
“You will learn our ways, follow are rules and no longer be Omaticaya. Do you understand?”
“I do. I just wish to keep my mate and child safe”
“ I am Ronal. I accept you If Tonowari accepts as well”
She was harsh when needed. Cruel when she wanted. But kind to those who needed guidance.  She was kind, a mother would do anything to keep her kids safe. And she was happy to see it happen, though she wished to wipe away that pain from the two of you.
“Neteyam has sought Uturu. Treat him and his mate as our brother and sister. For they are weak. Let them know our way as if they are babies taking their first breath. Let them not know the shame of being useless”
You bowed your head. As did Neteyam.
“Tsireya my daughter will show you where you can stay, Ao’nung and her will teach you our ways”
Tumblr media
“Tsu’ru” You gently spoke. Handing over your newborn son to Ronal to clean him off. Neteyam just outside the Marui. Two excruciating hours, two hours in labor. No doubt the whole village was waiting for any news of their newest member in their clan.
You had always imagined your first born would be held by your mother. Your family around you. And in some way that is what was happening. Ronal had taken you in as a mother and you were so grateful for that.
The first few months were the most unbearable pain you could have gone through. Tsireya and Ronal had been a good support, aside Neteyam. You were grateful for it too. Keeping you going keeping you healthy.
You were so grateful to for the support Tonowari and Ao’nung provided for Neteyam. You were ever more grateful for the family sticking by you.
In the time you had lived here. A year exactly you had made the most of life. Having found family in the Olo’eyktan’s family. Have made friends and you would not be more thankful.
Neteyam half joked that being friends with Rotxo was like preparing for a baby. And now you were kinda thankful he was right. No fear came to your heart. You were no longer afraid of having and raising a child.
You saw Ronal smile. Seeing your son give her a gummy smile.
“Come. Let us show our people the fine warrior you have given birth too”
You nodded. Standing up as you followed her. Holding Neteyam’s hand once you saw him. His eyes full of love and tears as well as he could only see his son being moved to Tonowari’s arms.
“Eywa has blessed this clan with a fine warrior!”
Cheers. Laughter and the warm feeling of pride as you saw Tsu’ru be handed to his father.
He looked so much like him and you were ever so much more in love.
Supporting his head and his bottom he rose him above to the sun. A tradition kept back home and it made you let out the softest laugh as you watched your babe be bathed by the rays of the sun.
“Tsu’ru” He claimed proudly.
And the clan chanted his name. Tonight would be a moment of celebration.
Rotxo and Ao’nung coming to Neteyam’s side as they congratulated Neteyam for his son.
Tsireya handing you a cup for you to drink. Stating how proud of you she was too.
But your happiness would be unfortunately cut short.
The sounds of horns signaling someone’s arrival. Neteyam holding his son close to his chest and you behind him.
You followed behind him. Behind all of them as you watched how everyone surrounded the newcomers.
Ikrans
Familiar to Neteyam.
“You two stay behind us” Ao’nung suggested as he and Rotxo went ahead of the crowd.
Neteyam didn't even bother to hide. His gaze was deadly. Angry with something you had never seen in so long.
“Neteyam?”
“Let us go back to our Marui love. No business being here”
You rose a brow. Worried at his expression as you just followed orders.
Whatever it was. It was not good and you knew it.
You knew that even if he acted as if everything was okay. It wasn’t  and you knew as much.
Your Pod was filled with something stale. He was on high Alert and you knew it. You saw it in the way that he kept looking at the entrance of the pod. You gently set Tsu’ru down in the basket before finally asking what was wrong.
“Neteyam! Your family is here!” Rotxo announced as he came into your shared pod.
Now the same panic you felt so long ago was back. It was as if you were getting scolded again.
“Ma Neteyam?”
“Dont be scared. I wont let them ever yell at you again” He spoke gently resting his forehead on yours.
You took in this moment with him. At ease with the world and happy again
“Not like they could do anything. I wont let them” Ao’nung announced. You were glad you had this support system.
Hearing your babe begin to cry you could only sigh and went ahead to see what was the matter.
Tumblr media
“Neteyam?” it was all you heard. You had Tsu’ru in your arms. His arms dangling as he tried to reach you. You looked past him and saw his parents. You wondered where his siblings were.
“y/n?”
You quietly hissed, tucking your baby into you and hiding behind him again. The newborn smell and your hormones are still driving you. Neteyams arm extended as he pushed you behind him. His Tattoos were so nice to look at if it weren't for the fact that his family was distracting you.
“We don’t want anything to do with you. My family and i were passing along” Neteyam stated.
You had been on your way to have dinner with the olo’eyktan and had only stopped to admire your kid’s happy giggle.
You could have sworn you heard Neteyam growl. His tail wrapping around you.
“Neteyam! My son”
You saw Neytiri try to reach you. But  stopped Neteyam take out his hunting knife and keep it out in front of him. Letting out a warning hiss.
“Do not- Stay there. Stay away from My family”
“Kid-”
“No. You dont get to threaten my mate and risk my child and act as if it is all fine” neteyam spoke. Bringing the attention of Ronal and Tonowari .
“Son.. We’re sorry. I am sorry for ever pushing you away. I made mistakes and im sorry for not thinking of your happiness too” Neytiri apologized.
Jake standing beside her. Looking at the two of you before turning to you.
“ I am sorry too. We got to choose who to be with. And im sorry for not letting you have that too”
You felt Ronal hold your shoulders as she looked at the other adults.
“My children. Are Jakesully and his mate bothering you dears?”
You turned to look at her and then Neteyam.
He continued to look at his parents. Their eyes full of sorrow and guilt yet. But he couldn’t forget the feeling of almost losing you two. How you convulsed and stopped reacting as he could do nothing but watch.
He wanted to forgive that sin. Wanted to say it was alright and that he was okay. But your lives were almost lost. He almost lost you two. And that was something that was hard to forgive.
“ No, Tsahik please take Y/n and Tsu’ru inside i just want to have a few words with.. Toruk Makto and his mate”
Ronal nodded Leading the way. You watched the way he looked tense. But you had to bite back your tongue
Neteyam watched you go. Before turning his glare towards his parents.
“I can be around my siblings and i will allow them to know of my son. But i dont want to know you.You may grovel and beg for forgiveness but i wont forgive you”
“Neteyam please”
“ Im not done speaking”
His gaze soften as he could only think of you two “ I have a wonderful family. I am happy how i am and it is up to her to forgive you. But i wont! Because you nearly caused my babe to die. And Eywa may forgive you and she may too. You may ask her what you have to do to make it up to her and my son! But i dont want you near my family. I dont want to see you. I want you to beg”
He no longer was the perfect son that they had raised. Now his eyes full of hurt and anger looked at them. The past coming back to haunt them.
“ I want you to beg, i want you to grovel, i want you to suffer and to always know that i wont forgive you so easily. You are not allowed around my Family alone or at all. Lo’ak, Kiri and Tuk may but not you two. For you wont know my scorn until you are near them understood?”
Neytiri nodded as had jake. She could only fight back tears
“Get out of my face. I don’t want be near you”
Neteyam watched them go.
He could never forgive what they had done. What they could have caused. He would let you decide it. You two were his world and if you didnt want anything to do with his parents. He wouldn’t either.

AITA for abandoning my party in the middle of a notoriously tough dungeon?
i (26m) was playing ffxiv and had just unlocked a new dungeon. all my friends were asleep and i was too excited to wait, so i decided to go against my social anxiety and run it with randos.
the scant handful times i'd run dungeons with randos before went great - earlier that day after another dungeon i'd even gotten player commendations from two of the players in a party i was healing for - so i was more or less confident this time would be fine as well.
boy oh boy was i wrong...
i got matched with three players we will simply call tank, healer, and dps (age and gender unknown for all three). i went in as a bard (all my other jobs were too underlevelled), filling the remaining dps role.
things went awry almost as soon as we set foot in that dungeon. i died in the first room to some enemies that aggro'd on me and ganged up on me. the rest of the party left the room pretty much immediately after all enemies were dead.
i politely asked to be resurrected, to which healer reluctantly complied. they told me to "just rez next time", which would've sent me to the beginning of the dungeon. in hindsight that would've prolly been fine since it was only the first room.
after i caught up to the others i once again got swarmed with monsters. this is gonna be a pattern if you couldn't tell. after i'd died to this pattern a couple times tank yelled at me for "constantly pulling everything ffs".
for those who don't know, tanks (at least in this game) have a special ability that basically acts as an aggro magnet. i have a strong suspicion tank wasn't using said ability considering how often i got swarmed, but we'll never know for sure.
now the mid boss was where it truly went to shit. no matter how much of a distance i kept from that damn thing, no matter how well i evaded its aoe attacks, i just kept dying over and over again. one time the rest of the party even got sent back somehow. i'm not sure how.
and why did i keep dying you may ask? because healer never healed me. not once after they resurrected me at the beginning did i notice my hp go up aside from when i used hi-potions or my one (1) healing spell, both of which have a very long cooldown. i think they were glued to tank the entire time, completely neglecting me and dps.
and yet, i was the one taking the blame for everything. for pulling the enemies tank should've pulled. for constantly dying, which i couldn't help because healer never once touched me after that first resurrection.
it was really starting to affect me so after i let my dead body be sent back to the beginning of the dungeon i finally put my foot down and left the dungeon. this disbanded the party, not only kicking everyone from the dungeon, but likely also penalizing all 4 of us because of my actions.
i will clarify that this wasn't just any old dungeon; it was aurum vale. it's a dungeon you need to be at least level 47 for. while i don't know much about it myself, judging by the way my friends talk about it the semi-universal verdict is that it sucks major balls. it' would's not be a fun dungeon to have to redo, that's for sure.
i was on the verge of tears for well over 30 minutes afterwards, both from the emotional afterquakes of fear and anger but also from the guilt of abandoning these people like that.
so, am i the asshole? am i too sensitive? should i just have sucked it up and kept going?
tldr; i felt like my party of randos were blaming me for being the weakest link while doing their own jobs poorly, and decided to prioritize my own feelings by leaving the dungeon, dissolving the party and forcing the others to start all over again
Oh no. Oh honey. I am so sorry Aurum Vale is just like that. I'm gonna put the poll here and some extra INFO/advice under a readmore because it's a bit long, but please read on before voting.
First: don't let leaving bother you too much, it didn't kick everyone from the dungeon, that's not how it works. If one person leaves, the queue just refills the party with a new person and the dungeon continues like normal, or everyone else now has the option to leave without penalty.
Aurum Vale's first room is a motherfucker--basically it's an older design with lots of wandering monsters, so on the first room especially you need to hug the left hand wall as tight as you can to aggro as little as possible. Let the tank go first and grab aggro on mobs. Don't pull for the tank, especially at this level range. Let them do their job. I can't say for sure whether they had their aggro-generating stance on, could go either way, but I can see why they got annoyed at someone pulling stuff they weren't ready for yet. While wall-to-wall pulling is pretty standard in this game, that's the tank's call to make, not the dps's--and some of these older dungeons with funky level syncing or enemy pacing make wall-to-walling more difficult and not for everyone.
(BTW, as an aside, tank stance works as a personal buff, not a magnet--they do still need to hit things to grab their aggro, sometimes more than once if someone else has already established on them. If they already have a pack they're working on and you grab something way on the other side of the room, you'll have to bring it over to them so they can take it off you!)
If you do die to mobs between bosses, sometimes the best thing to do is just release and respawn! If you get a rez, you'll have a debuff that makes you weaker for a while. Definitely if it's the very first room, releasing is the move most of the time.
As for dying to bosses: was it definitely the mid boss, the cyclops? Because the other two (the plant and the morbol) both have mechanics that make you take slow damage over time unless you eat a fruit to get rid of it. You want to eat a fruit every 2-3 stacks of the debuff that you get because that's where the damage starts to get more severe; before then, the healer can probably handle you.
Basically, it seems like this party mistook inexperience for malice and was rude to you in response. Not healing you, for example, is absolutely inexcusable. You did some things suboptimally that made the dungeon harder for the group, but honestly we were all there once, don't let it get to you too much. Try it again with your friends bearing the stuff I mentioned in mind, and it'll go much better! But as an aside it SUCKS to heal, if you have a more experienced friend you should let them handle it haha

Reflection, part 1
So basically I was reading a lot of stuff here with Kaz and got so obsessed I just couldn't stay away. English isn't my first language but I'll try my best to create some readable story. I don't own the characters or the idea itself, it's quite basic but I hope some of you will like it just as I do.
Fandom: Six of crows
Warnings: Kaz Brekker and everything that goes with him
Pairing: Kaz Brekker x Shadow Summoner!OC
Summary: Darkling's daughter comes to Ketterdam to hide and get help from Nina, an old friend of her, but instead gets herself a new family that will protect her much better than her real one. The similar touch aversion will bring Jess and Kaz closer together than they could imagine.
Part 2, Part 3, Part 4
Tumblr media
For the rest of her life Baghra will be convinced she did the right thing. She may have made many mistakes in her long life but helping her granddaughter Jess was not one of them.
She had grown attached to the girl from the moment she first saw her in the cradle, and she naively thought it would be a good reason for her son to turn his life around. To focus on the family, to get to that rare part of something good that was still left in him as she hoped. And for some period of time it worked. Aleksander paid a lot of attention to his daughter, made time to be with her in spite of his former struggles with the Second Army. Baghra felt his joy and saw it in his black eyes and hoped that Jess would become her support.
She wasn't the only one counting on that, however, and it became abundantly clear when Aleksander began to do individual training with Jess. His thoughts of superior power, his ideas about limitless control were penetrating more and more into his daughter's young mind, and that was why Baghra tried to take control of her, using as an excuse that General Kirigan had to focus on another rebellion.
His departure from the Little Palace was a breath of fresh air, and Baghra put all her energies into helping Jess develop her abilities faster. Her trainings became more intense and started to vary, because Baghra preferred to think that Grishas should not rely solely on their unique abilities. Guns intimidated her with their noise, but Jess developed a special love with knives. A swift throw could be completely silent and it reminded her of the her own shadows that danced so easily and so silently on her fingertips with no effort at all.
— You control the darkness. Not the other way around, remember that, — her father used to say and Jess had believed him so unconditionally that neither of them had ever thought of betraying him in the future.
His lessons had been extremely harsh, and as she grew older, they had increasingly ended in bruises and open wounds, easily vanished by healers only to have Darkling drag her back to the empty West side of the palace the next day and force her to unleash the darkness against his own. Jess was always amazed at how different he could be - attentive and caring one moment and utterly ruthless and indifferent the next. She preferred to separate the two and think of Aleksander as her father and of the Darkling as a teacher, a general, someone who was so obsessed with power that deep down she was horrified at the thought that he could destroy the whole world without blinking an eye just to get what he wanted.
And Baghra confirmed her fears when she told her the truth. About the Black Heretic who created the Fold and faked his death many times just to stay in power. Alina's flee from the Little Palace was the right trigger, and the events in the Fold had proved that the Darkling was blind and deaf to any mercy, that he had no compassion or conscience. Rumors of his tragic death reached everyone, but Baghra suspected that Fold's creator would be able to find a way to deal with its darkness from within and that is why she made Jess run as far away as possible.
After all it was obvious to both of them what would happen if the Darkling was still alive. He would return even more fierce and ruthless than before and he certainly would seek help from his daughter he had raised in his own image. He would use her as an amplifier for himself or force her to serve for his own vengeance. So Baghra, who learned the news from Alina through a secret letter, sent her granddaughter straight to Ketterdam. There, among the countless thieves and murderers, no one would pay attention to the girl hiding her past. Moreover, Baghra had heard rumors that Nina Zenik had settled in Ketterdam and she hoped that Jess, reunited with an old friend, would get the help and support she needed in a foreign land.
If she had known how this would turn out, she would have preferred to leave her granddaughter by her side among the guards of the Little Palace, but doubts had to be killed and she directed all of her prayers that Jess would be able to continue to save the mystery of who her father was and what her abilities were.
"In the darkness and from the darkness," as she used to say.

seer.
fem!omatikaya!reader
warning: reader uses she/her pronouns. reader is a healer. a lot of repetition. avatar the way of water spoilers. reader doesn't believe in herself. lowercase intended. i didn't know what i was doing tbh. no use of y/n, i tried. mo'at is probably ooc. the reader and mo'at have a teacher/apprentice dynamic, bordering on mo'at being a parental figure to reader.
summary: a quiet healer from the omatikaya has a vision that may change her life forever.
word count: 1.4k
laying on the forest floor was her favorite pastime. seeing the pandora forest from below, seeing the flora and fauna, the animals. it was what she did after a long morning of gathering healing materials for mo’at and herself.
the young na’vi being taken in by the tsahik to be a healer after the matriarch noticed something never seen before or that the high priestess had never seen with her own two eyes.
a seer.
someone who experienced visions of the past and the future. the tsahik knew the young healer she had taken in was going to need the most help she could get. some visions the healer had experienced were drastic, some were comforting and cheerful while others were bloody and catastrophic. the healer had told the tsahik every vision she had since being taken in, no matter how bloody it was.
falling asleep on the forest floor was something normal for the healer as she felt most at home in the luscious forest than in her own hammock. experiencing a vision was an enduring experience, some lasting seconds to others lasting hours. the healer didn’t notice time passing as she encountered the visions in her sleep. this time the vision lasted hours as it gave her the whole story.
she saw ikrans landing on a beach, far away from home as she recognized familiar faces, the olo’eyktan, tsakarem, and her dear friends kiri, neteyam, lo’ak and tuk. seeing a pretty teal na’vi with curly hair and two young hunters, she presumes. seeing new creatures that the healer had never seen before, her friends learning the way of water and seeing their new life, hearing murmurs of the words ‘i see you’ from the pretty teal na’vi to lo’ak. seeing fire, the human boy that was stuck to the hip with kiri, blood and the dilated eyes of neteyam.
the healer bolted up from the forest floor, sobbing. trying to gather herself before meeting the clan’s matriarch. as the tsahik ordered the young healer to tell her of any visions she may have whether great or insignificant. standing up gathering the materials she had hand-picked and running through the forest toward where her clan resided to find the tsahik’s tent.
finding the tent rather easily as she had been there multiple times either alone or with her friends. thinking of her friends made her weep, sniffling weakly as to not alert the tsahik. flipping the flap to enter the tent and clearing her throat to alert the high priestess of her presence. “I heard you from outside ma ‘eveng.” she said. “i just wanted to give you the materials, tsahik.” the matriarch lifted her eyes to see the face of her young apprentice to see it with a frown and tear-stained. “what happened, ‘evenge? come sit down and tell me what is bothering you.” the tsahik spoke.
the healer inhaled before sitting down. “i had a vision, and i saw toruk makto’s family in the ocean.” she said before continuing. “i saw their ikran and the clan’s olo’eyktan and tsahik, a tsakarem and two hunters, i presume.” “what did they look like, ‘evenge?” “their skin was teal, they had blue eyes, and they have strong arms that look fin-like.” the healer answered.
“what else do you remember, ‘evenge?” the matriarch inquired.
“kiri, neteyam, lo’ak and tuk were being taught by the olo’eyktan’s children and the tsakarem caught feelings for lo’ak and he bonded with an outcast tulkun, an animal of great importance to the metkayina.” the healer responded. “how do you know the girl is a tsakarem, ‘evenge?” “she had a bead resting on her forehead and her clothing was intricate.”
“that ‘evengan! always doing something he’s not supposed to do!” the tsahik exclaimed.
“and there is something else…” the healer trailed off. “what else did you see, ‘evenge?” mo’at asked, curious as to what the na’vi was going to say. “the skypeople attacked and the suli and metkayina had to defend their home, there were casualties.” the healer answered.
the high priestess was silent knowing the na’vi had something else to say.
“ngaytxoa, tsahik. ngaytxoa!” the healer exclaimed, not knowing how the matriarch would react. “what are you apologizing for, zeykoyu?” the tsahik fretfully asked.
“neteyam’s dead.”
the healer started sobbing louder begging the tsahik for forgiveness bearing the news of the death of her eldest grandson. “oh, ‘eveng” the matriarch simply says, not knowing how to react. this young girl burdened with knowing the most violent of destinies. “‘evenge, you do not have to apologize, you are both blessed and burdened with this great gift from the great mother, though i appreciate you telling me, you must not tell this to anyone else, the clan can not take this kind of loss after toruk makto’s family leaving. my grandson was a great tsamsiyu, and he could have been olo’eyktan but you do not have to apologize.” the high priestess responded, trying to comfort her apprentice.
the young na’vi stayed silent, not looking the matriarch in the eyes for fear. “‘eveng, look me in the eye, you do not need to have fear.” the high priestess said. the healer looked up to the tsahik. “you are just a messenger, you do not need to have fear of anything or anyone, do you understand?” mo’at asked. the healer simply nodded.
“‘evenge, you have passed your iknimaya and are now part of the people, you have the skills to be a tsahik, you will become tsakarem.” the matriarch informed the simple healer. the healer gaped at the high priestess, contradicting the elder shortly after. “how could i be tsakarem? my family are mere warriors, healers and gatherers. i could never be a tsakarem or tsahik!” the young na’vi declared. “you are destined for extraordinary things, ‘evenge. you have a gift given by the great mother herself, you could be an influential leader for the omatikaya and neighboring clans.” mo’at argued.
“i am not fit for the title of tsakarem, that title is only reserved for the daughters of clan leaders and high standing families, i am neither of those.” the girl responded. “that is what you think that title means and i don’t fault you for thinking that, but a tsakarem is someone who has talent, who the tsahik recognizes would lead the clan to eminence.” the matriarch countered before continuing. “maite grew out of that title long ago ‘evenge, the clan needs reassurance that there are going to be leaders for future generations and you are the future.” the high priestess reassured.
“why train me when tarsem, the new olo’eyktan needs a mate and tsahik of his own?” the apprentice questioned. “he is already courting a tsamsiyu who loves him, ‘evenge. as long as i’m here, i will be tsahik, and shall train you in healing and interpreting the will of eywa. you will be my successor.'' mo'at answered with a serious tone. “are you sure i will learn everything needed to serve the people and be a worthy tsahik?” the apprentice queried. “i promise, ‘evenge.” mo’at answered.
“frawzo, i will be tsakarem, i agree.” “kosman! you will begin training tomorrow morning.”
“i wish to inform my parents first before starting training.” “then what are you waiting for, ‘evenge? go tell them!” the matriarch ushered the apprentice out of the tent and the apprentice thanked her and left.
after the now-turned tsakarem left her tent, mo’at stood up and organized the materials long left on the floor. after organizing them, the high priestess left her tent and began making her way to her ikran and going to vitrautral to seek answers from the great mother herself.
following her arrival to the sacred tree and telling her ikran to stay and wait for her, she approached the tree, grabbing her queue and grabbing some tendrils to connect to the all-mother. “ma eywa, how can such a young soul see something so tragic? how can i teach to the best of my abilities for her not to doubt herself?” the matriarch hadn’t noticed tears streaming down her cheeks. “how can my grandson be lying with you before me? please great mother give me a sign to how i can lead the tsakarem and my people to a better future.” the high priestess begged, waiting for an answer.

wip wednesday
Double-tagged by my beloveds @walkinginland and @theawkwardterrier 💜 Thank you friends!! I do have bits and pieces for chapter 9 of Seaside in the works, but everything feels a little spoilery at this point for this next arc, so dropping a whole scene from my tbbfiy wip instead, which just might end up getting shared piecemeal in tumblr posts at this rate 😅
Claire woke slowly, her awareness returning in pieces. It was dark in the room, and completely still; no crying children running to their bed for shelter or someone banging on the door for a healer. That wasn’t what had woken her this time. There was warmth over her belly — a hand, she realized belatedly, with the thumb stroking softly in half-circles over the fabric of her nightgown. Jamie’s hand. Jamie’s voice, too — barely above a whisper, and the only sound in the room.
“—and two wee sisters who will love and dote on ye. Faith may order ye about but she’s a fierce wee protector of those she loves, and ye’ll be glad to have her looking out for ye. And Brianna will just want tae be yer friend and playfellow. She’s never had a younger sibling, ye ken, so it’ll be new for her.”
Claire didn’t want to move or even breathe, lest she disrupt the conversation Jamie was having with the baby, but she felt a lump rise in her throat listening to him talk so. Had he felt the same as he’d described for Brianna, when his mother was carrying his baby brother? The one he never got to meet…
Don’t follow that train of thought, Beauchamp.
“—And what can I say about yer mam that ye don’t already ken? If ye decide to stay, you’ll have the most wonderful mother this life can give ye. She loves ye so much already… as do I.”
Tears were spilling hot down her cheeks, and she couldn’t even say for sure that her hormones had anything to do with those. “Stay put, mo chridhe.” It was the same fatherly tone he used with Fergus and the girls when he expected absolute obedience, when it was a matter of their safety and wellbeing — stern and protective in equal measure. She felt Jamie press a kiss to her belly and beg in a tight whisper, “please.”
It was the begging that did her in. She couldn’t lie there unaffected any longer; she reached for him, carding fingers through his curls and clutching his head to her belly. She loved him — endlessly, for a million reasons — but in that moment she loved him most for how scared he’d always been of the risks to her and any child she carried, and that he’d still given her this next chance, fears and all, when she’d asked it of him. She loved him for his wide-open heart for a life that might never be, especially when they’d already been down the path of heartache and loss before. “Come here,” she murmured to him. He shifted up the bed until his head was level with hers. She cupped his face in her hands and kissed him, deeply.
They would be alright, she knew. No matter what, she would be alright as long as she had him with her, for the good days and the bad.
But she hoped to god she hadn’t seen the last of Jamie Fraser’s face when he held his child for the first time.
I’m not sure who is currently working on a wip they’d like to share, so no-pressure tagging @lord-jen-grey @lara-frasers and @frasers-of-my-heart and anyone else who might want to participate, consider yourself tagged!

Martell Week- Day 3: Favorite moment.
Tag: @elvinaa @adriennegabriella @wingsoftheangels @morby @tashastrange89 @candycanes19
(A/N: The unnamed OC/ Reader!Stark is back again, cause we love to see it! Well, let’s hope that guy did get some medical attention. TW: Minor PTSD episode.)
Day 3: Favorite moment.
When Oberyn stabbed a mfer!
Song Inspired: “Brand New Numb” by: Motionless In White
I froze up hearing that damn song. “The rains of Castamere” always struck nightmares or daymares into me. Tears started to fall from my eyes as I remember that night. The night the Lannisters came for my Father, the night I became the Bloodwolf.
“Father…” My voice cracked.
Oberyn had enough already; his head turned the sound, looking from Olyver. Ellaria’s head popped up, knowing that Oberyn was going to probably kill someone. Oberyn exited the room. Ellaria and Olyvar not sure what to do at first; but they opted to check on me.
“Love, you need to come back to us. It’s okay, you’re safe.” Ellaria’s voice pleaded.
“My Lady, you need to stop Prince Oberyn.” Olyvar spoke up.
I, thankfully snapped out of it. I grabbed Ellaria’s hand and start to run after Oberyn, Olyaer following behind. I threw Ellaria at Oberyn and the two of us skid to a halt; one arm from each of us, trying to stop him.
“Come back to bed, Lover.” Ellaria spoke.
“My Sun, it’s okay. They’re not worth it!” I pleaded.
Oberyn brushed us away and the brothel workers ran for it; we all knew Oberyn’s reputation as the Red Viper after all. The two Lannister guardsmen watched Oberyn.
“Do you know why all the world hates a Lannister?”
He moved past us and the two Lannister guardsmen got up. Both Ellaria and I were really worried and Olyaer went to get help before this turned ugly. Oberyn made it to one of them.
“You think your gold and old lions, and your gold lions make you better than everyone else.”
The one man Oberyn was in front of only blinked.
“May I tell you a secret? You’re not the golden lion, you’re just a pink little man who’s far too slow on the draw.”
What the hell does that mean?! I look at Ellaria who was looking at the scene, my eyes go back to Oberyn and I felt my heart pounding hard. Ellaria’s hand pulled me over to her. Before the man could draw out his longsword, Oberyn stabbed him in the wrist; the man allotting a loud scream!
I couldn’t help but to laugh; in a way I took some pleasure and happiness; Ellaria looked shocked at me and how I was reacting. Well, they deserve it...after what the did to my family and Elia, I would love nothing more than to kill Tywin and Cersei. The other Lannister guardsman went to pull his sword out but hesitated to. I couldn’t help to laugh when the man screamed in agony.
“Long Sword is a bad option in close quarters. When your friend starts bleeding quite a lot, I’m afraid, so many veins in the wrist.-”
Oberyn’s face looked one of madness and I was enjoying it.
“-He’ll live if you get him help straight away… So decisions.”
If the other guard even moved; I’ll have him down on his back faster than light. Ellaria looked worried about me for a moment.
“Prince Oberyn, forgive the intrusion-” Tyrion Lannister started to say.
Oberyn pulled the dagger from the man’s wrist. The man screamed loudly and I laughed louder.
“Trouble…” He finished.
The two Lannister guardsmen ran off to get a healer.
“Apologies my loves.” Oberyn said.
Oberyn started to kiss Ellaria and I turned to see Tyrion standing there.
“Tyrion?” I asked.
He was shocked to see me. It had been a while since we last saw each other. I leaned down and hugged him, catching attention from Tyrion’s friend and my two lovers behind me.
“How are you?” He asked.
“I’m well, how is my Sister?” I asked.
“She’s safe for now, I promise.” Tyrion told me.
I nodded; I missed Sansa badly. Tyrion looked up at Oberyn and, I stand back over with the them. Tyrion’s expression changed to one of surprise.
“Them? Really?” Tyrion asked.
“It’s a long story, I’m married to Oberyn but I see Ellaria as my wife.” I admitted.
I feel them both take my hands in theirs. Ellaria is my equal, I’ve always saw as such and to hell with what others think. I felt her worry start to vanish, I’m glad. Poor woman looked like she was probably going to faint for a second. But it’s Ellaria Sand, one of the toughest women I know.
“Tell me, something.” I hear Tyrion asked.
“Yes?” I answered.
“That night, what happened to you?” Tyrion asked.
I froze again and tried to keep calm; I have to keep myself in check or a certain secret will be blown. I just shake my head. Oberyn pulled me into his arms.
“She hasn’t even told us yet.” Oberyn told the man.
Tyrion nodded.
“Understandable, I apologize. Prince Oberyn, we need to talk-.”
Tyrion looked at both me and Ellaria.
“Alone.”
“Fine.” I said.
I was just glad to get out of that scene; Ellaria and I go back into the room and I fell onto the bed. She joined me and I hold her. My body was shaking a bit from just the thought of that night. Ellaria kept her eyes on mine.
“Love, are you okay?” Her honey voice asked.
“I’ll be okay, with you two of course. I’m sorry Ellaria, I’m not ready to talk about that night. It was just...painful, okay, very painful!” I tried my best to keep calm.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, take your time. You know me and Oberyn are here for you.” Ellaria hushed me.
Her hand playing with my hair as Oberyn walked in. A look of hurt was on his face knowing that, I was in pain. A look knowing, that in the end, he might not be able to help. I give him a very weak but trying to be okay smile.
I just hope one day I can tell them.

Hello! I’m looking for beta readers for my book, Prophesied! It’s 101k queer fantasy novel focusing on two sisters. There is a romance as well. I’m looking for feedback on pacing, flow, characters you liked or hated, if anything is confusing or boring. Really just how it feels reading it!
Description:
When every oracle in the nation is suddenly prophesying death, Victori is relieved. She's been held captive in the desert for years, and now she has a chance to be a hero like her older sister Jasa. Vic runs headfirst into adventure as she joins the magicless Commander Ryn and her militia in battle. If she could be half as strong as Jasa, or half the woman Ryn thinks she is, Vic might be able to save the day.
Jasa gave up her freedom to protect Vic, and now she's chasing her across the nation. She doesn't want Vic anywhere near this prophecy, but when beasts of nebulous shadow erupt from the ground, Jasa's dread grows. Vic may have been made for this. Her lightning magic has not been seen since the gods, and it's the perfect weapon against the Void.
While her sister's power is ancient, Jasa's is new. She's the first shadow-fire mage, and she should have known her magic would only enamor the Void. The Void tells her that her magic is familiar, and that this land was once theirs. They're taking back their realm and exacting revenge on the gods, a sentiment Jasa could get behind if it didn't mean ending all mortal life.
Victori and Jasa embark on a journey to understand their magic, why the gods chose them, and how they can stop the Void. As Victori learns more about the Void, she wonders if the gods didn't bless her, they damned her. They started a fight and abandoned her to finish it, even if it kills her.
If you want to read, please send me a message and we can connect!
And the first 300 words are under the cut:
As Heffire lay dying, she wondered how things like fate and prophecy could be so wrong. This was not seen by the gods who gave her life. This was not the will of her father, Ophel, the god of magic. What had happened to so disrupt the course of her great existence?
She had done what the seers told her she would. She and her sister Phenfire had brought peace to their land and sailed the ocean around the Gods' Mountains to find a new land, one bigger and stranger than theirs. Heffire had stayed here, in this new world, while Phenfire went back to their home. They were going to rule, twin sisters of greatness, together.
Now Heffire was bleeding out into the Boiling Seas at the hand of an assassin sent by her sister. All she could hope was that her loyalists in her sister's city had killed Phen too, so that Heffire was not truly dying alone. She was not supposed to die alone. She was supposed to die surrounded by gold, in greatness, worshiped, and ascend to the Gods' Mountains as a deity.
Through her pain and shock, she felt someone settle on the ground beside her. Someone gently lifted her head into their lap, and Heffire forced her eyes open to take in the beautiful face of Naomin, the goddess of love and pain. Naomin shimmered, translucent. Her hair was a bubble of water billowing around her, and her skin rippled like the surface of a pond.
Naomin stroked Heffire’s hair, and the pain in her body lessened. "Aunt, what did I do wrong?”
“Nothing.” Naomin's voice was as fluid and ethereal as she was, a soft whisper of waves lapping at the ocean shore. Heffire felt her anguish calm. "You did nothing wrong."
"But this was not seen," Heffire said, her voice weak despite Naomin taking away her pain and hurt. She knew Naomin was not here to save her life. Naomin was not a healer.
"Sometimes, through only willpower, people can change the tides of fate."
Heffire closed her eyes and wondered how her sister had gotten the willpower to kill her.

McGonagall was quick to step in front of them.
“Boys, I know you want to be with her but let them do their job.” She told them in a sad voice.

“Pads you heard what Minnie said.”
“I know Moony but I cannot leave her.”
James spun toward Sirius an angry look on her face.
“So what now you dont want to abandon my sister! Our best friend! But you were fine abandoning her for the last few weeks to what run off with Marlene!”
“James…..” Remus tried to calm him down.
“No Remus, he ignored her, he hurt her.”
“WE ALL DID.” Remus yells everyone looking at him.
“We all did in one way or another, she was feeling lost, insecure, unworthy, its why she entered this contest in the first place.”
“What?” The other three boys muttered.
“I found out over the summer, i found her upset in her room on weekend when we were staying over, she told me everything was starting to wear her down. The constants comparisons to you feeling like she was never good enough never making your parents proud enough, Sirius that girl is so head over heels for you and all she did was watch you flirt with every other girl that is not her, then when she finally gets a boy interested she gets dumped for someone else or cheated on, her whole Hogwarts life she has felt second best to everyone! And none of us noticed! Then she finally does something for her and her best friend ignores her and her brother yells at her!”
“W-we didn’t know.” James whispers
“Yeah what great friends we are.” Peter whispers “she does everything for us and we didn’t notice she was having a hard time.”
Remus nods and leaves the boys Peter following quickly behind. James and Sirius looked at eachother before taking a seat on a step near the hospital wing.
“How did we not know.” James mutters.
“We were too busy to notice the best thing we have in our life was struggling. We have a lot to make up for.”
“That we do. Sirius have you every seen Y/N use that much power before.”
“No Prongs, I grew up around some of the most powerful wizard families and I have never seen anyone use power like that.”
Before James could reply Minnie burst through the doors.
“Ahh Mr Potter, Mr Black i should have known you would be here still.”
James and Sirius quickly stood and ran over to her not saying anything.
“She looks as though she will be okay, now it is just a matter of her waking up.”
“B-but she is okay.”
“Yes Mr Potter, she has a few broken ribs, a broken arm and cuts and bruises as for why she won’t wake up we believe it may have to do with the show of power she displayed.”
The boys nodded breathing a sigh of relief,
“You can go sit with her, i will not be the one to keep you from her.”
The boys walked into the hospital wing both pulling up a chair on either side holding Y/Ns hand.
SIRIUS POV
One Week Later
It had been a week since Y/N went up against the dragons and she still hadn’t woken up, James and I stayed by her side not wanting to leave her alone, we only left to shower and eat and when we left we made sure Remus or Peter sat with her. Minnie had allowed us to not go to class considering Y/N was family so long as we did our homework which Remus got for us. No one could tell us why she hadn’t woken up but everyone was sure it had to do with the amount of magic she used, we bad started doing our own research into how she used that much magic, after all James was her twin and never showed any sign of being that powerful and she had never shown those signs either. Sure the Potter Twins were two of the most powerful students in our class but Y/N showed a different type of power no one had seen before, we even wrote to Mr and Mrs Potter and they didn’t have any ideas either.
I was sitting next to Y/N James had been dragged away by Lily to go eat in the Great Hall, I was reading a book on element witches as i held her hand when i suddenly felt her squeeze my hand. I all but threw the book onto the next bed as i clasped my other hand around hers and she squeezed it again, I looked around to see if anyone was near by when i saw my brother.
“Reg!” I yelled, and my brother turned to look at me with a glare until he saw the panic on my face, “Please go get James and the others.” He just nodded and ran to the great hall. I sat there staring at Y/N hoping this meant she was waking up.
James POV
Lily had come into the hospital wing where i was sitting with my twin. This last week i hadn’t spent much time with anyone other than Sirius and a sleeping Y/N. Lily all but dragged me out to the Great Hall to eat a proper meal claiming that Y/N would be angry if I didn’t look after myself.
“James! James!” I was broken from my thoughts as i looked up at a concerned Lily.
“What Lils?”
“Please try to eat.” I noticed that my food sat in front of me untouched.
“I-I can’t what if she doesnt wake up.” I heard my voice break and so did everyone around me. All of a sudden we were all pulled away from the conversation as we heard Regulus Black crash into a student running into the Great Hall. We heard him mumble a quick apology as he kept running, he came to a stop in front of us, trying to catch his breath.
“S-sirius, Y/N, waking up.” I jumped out of my seat upon making sense of Regulus’ incoherent sentence, running out of the Great Hall followed by Remus, Peter and Regulus. When we finally made it to the hospital wing we were greeted with the long awaited sight of Y/N sitting up smiling with Sirius next to her tears rolling down his face while he smiles.
Y/N POV
I felt something heavy in my hand, out of muscle memory I gave it a small squeeze, i then heard a thud and then more weight on my hand, so i squeezed it again. Then i heard something that sounded like yelling, though i couldn’t make out who or what was being said. My eyelids felt like they weighed a tonne however i forced them open taking in my surroundings. The hospital wing. I then sat up to see Sirius sitting on a chair next to my bed tears rolling down his cheek as holding onto my hand like a lifeline while looking at the ground head resting on our hands.
“Well you look like crap Pads.” He whipped his head around to look at me and a smile spread across his lips, before i knew it he smashed his lips against mine.
“Not that i am complaining but what was that for.”
“Don’t ever worry me like that again Y/N, watching you fall from that broom after taking on a dragon. I have never been so worried.” I look at him closer than before noticing a bit of stubble growing around his face, hair tied back, red and puffy eyes,
“How long?”
“A week,” i took a deep breath,
“Guess that explains the little beard you have going on.” I laughed and he giggled as well.
“A week in a coma and you are poking fun at me. Y/N we need to talk.” We were interrupted before Sirius could say anything else by four boys crashing still at the door, i saw my disheveled looking twin at the front of the group surprise and then shock on his face as he runs toward me squishing me in a tight hug.
“J-James i cant breathe.” I giggle as he pulls away,
“Sorry,” he mumbles. Remus and peter are next over giving me quick gentle hugs all of them have glazed over eyes full of unshed tears,
“Gosh anyone would thing you guys were worried about me.”
“What gave that away.” I hear a giggle from behind them.
“Reg what are you doing here?” I ask a small smile on my face. All the boys tense it was no secret they were not regulus biggest fans. They thought he was a pureblood fanatic like his parents, what they didnt know was Reg and I had become friends in recent years, the other thing they didnt know was i helping Reg try and escape his parents we just hadnt figured out a plan yet.
I could see Reg contemplating his answer.
“I was walking past the hospital when you started waking up Sirius asked me to get James.”
“Well its nice to see you, thank you for getting my brother.” He nodded and walked away.
“That was weird, why would a slytherin check up on you.” Sirius asked.
“Maybe your brother was concerned and thought you would go even more mad if i didnt wake up.” I joked though Remus was the only one who laughed.
“Well boys I think we should let Y/N rest.” Remus said breaking the silence before he and peter gave me a quick hug and started walking out.
“I will be back later okay sis?”
“I would expect nothing less, can you write to mum and dad tell them i am okay?”
He nods giving me a kiss on the forehead and following the other to.
“Want to tell me whats going round in your head Siri?”
“I thought I lost you twice, and that you had died not knowing how i feel about you.”
“Would how you feel have anything to do with you ignoring me since i got selected.” I say with a little bit of anger behind it, Sirius lowers his head and nods a little.
“Talk Pads tell me what you are thinking.”
“I Love You Y/N, hearing your name being called out for a deadly tournament i got so scared, then remus telling us how you dont feel worthy of being our friend and pretty much that you don’t know how proud we are of you or how we would crumble without you and that you have been struggling and none of us, that I haven’t noticed that, watching you take on a dragon thinking it killed you with fire, seeing you use an enormous amount of power then falling off the broom landing you in a coma, i feel like i failed you.” Sirius finally took a breath.
“I love you too Sirius.” His head snapped up making eye contact with me.
“Really after everything i just said.”
“Yep after everything. But you have a girlfriend remember.”
“I broke it off with her.”
“Really when?”
“The night you were selected.”
I stared at him blankly that was over three weeks ago now and i hadn’t noticed.
“Why didn’t you tell us.”
“I was scared and you were already stressed and needed to look after yourself.”
I grip his hand slightly tighter.
“When you are out of here we are going on a real date.”
“I would love that.”
“Maybe we can go to the Yule Ball together?”
“The what?”

The Curse of True love
Yang jungwon x male reader
Slight angst, a bit of fluff, endgame (underworld king jungwon x fallen faith male reader)
This is my first fic, so please enjoy and don't screw me over.....
I also got the inspiration for the last bit of the story from a game I used to play, (which is probably dead now).
Just to clarify, you don't like Boy's love then please.... Get out.
Let's begin!
Y-n is a new student at the very special for gifted people only, Decelis academy. Gifted in what way, you may ask?
It's magic!
Every student in Decelis academy have access to some sort of magic and they are accepted here, to be trained and use it for the greater good.
Y-n is known for his prominent healing magic despite only being a new student, able to heal even the most injured people.
This caused most of the students to go into a rage as a lot of them wanted Y-n as their healer.
Suddenly a hand was placed on his shoulder. Y-n turns around and pales, just like everyone else in the classroom.
It was the leader of enhypen himself, yang jungwon.
He takes a look at everyone before looking at Y-n and gestures that he's taking him before wrapping a hand around his shoulders.
Y-n felt extremely scared at the moment. "What does he want with me?" He thinks.
Enhypen is a group of the most powerful students here at Decelis academy, most of them are even from royal and noble families. Jungwon here is the wisest among the group and his ultra speed makes it so that he's always one step ahead of the enemy.
He took Y-n away to the enhypen's dorm which is marked with their logo and scanned his key card, the door then slides open for him to enter.
Y-n could see that the other enhypen members are having fun in the dorm, but when he and jungwon steps in, all eyes were on them.
Y-n just wants to run and not deal with this awkwardness.
"Is he the kid you wanted?" Asked heeseung, another member of enhypen.
"yeah he is" jungwon replied
You were confused as your whole body starts to sweat profusely. 'what do they want with you?'
"uh... Jungwon, he's scared! What did you do to the poor guy!?" A taller guy in the group said
"I didn't do anything jay-hyung! I just dragged him out of his class and..."
"that's why he's scared shitless!" A young and adorable guy says to jungwon.
"sorry sunoo-hyung"
"it's okay jungwon ah, but now explain to him why he's here." A very kind and considerate guy was talking to jungwon
"okay Jake-hyung"
Jungwon gestures for Y-n to sit on the couch as he did with haste, that the others laugh and jungwon was embarrassed.
"so basically, I want you to become our healer for the upcoming grand battle next week."
Y-n were surprised at his question. He didn't expect this at all.
"you want me to be your support?"
"yes, you are among the best healers in this academy so I thought that if we had you supporting us, we would surely win"
"a-are you sure?, I'm not really the best..."
"trust jungwon dear brother, he never make wrong decisions."
"okay, riki onii-san"
Everyone is looking at you guys back and forth...
"riki onii-san!?"
Riki calmly explains that Y-n was his adoptive brother who likes to live without having the reputation of a famous person.
Jungwon sighed at this new information.
"so you're telling me that you have a brother who is literally my—!"
A buff guy, whose name is sunghoon slaps his hand on jungwon's mouth before he could finish. Jungwon also realized he almost slipped and blushed very hard.
Ni-ki only smirks at his friend's slip up, while his brother is not that great in the romance section, he is still able to basic of love. He looks at his brother, who is red faced and fiddling with his fingers and neck length hair.
The butterfly pin that Y-n has on his head starts to glow, and Y-n only blushes harder because of it.
"I will be your healer, enhypen. I will do my absolute best."
The enhypen members smirk.
let's win this
For the next few days before the grand battle, Y-n trained with the enhypen members to maximize their potential together. They were awestruck at Y-n's capabilities. Ranging from mass aoe heals to high defensive shields and buffs. He also shows that, a support can also fight because the other day he finished a whole dungeon of slimes by himself.
Yesterday, a group of women were harassing the enhypen members. While Y-n was trying his best to fend them off, they keep coming and one of them even push Y-n and talk shit about him. This made Y-n quite mad, a rare moment. So he uses his staff and summons a giant on them, trapping them in place. He threatens the women that if he sees them again, he will make sure they regret it.
Then the day arrives for them to enter the grand battle competition. The first round, they were up against mark lee's team.
His team was quite strong, him and the other members of NCT dream works well together and coordinate their attacks very well.
However even with such strong attacks, they cannot burst down Y-n's shield ,which always keep the enhypen members from harm. Y-n and jungwon were also a good team, y-n's debuffs and displacement effects helped jungwon to slash his enemies better with his sword.
Enhypen wins the first round.
Now the semi-finals, they were up against txt.
They were more aggressive and agile, focusing on power to blow their way through as beomgyu keeps healing and buffing them.
Y-n had to unleash his trump card as most of the enhypen members cannot fight the txt members.
He concentrated his magic and unleash a swarm of butterflies forward. All the enhypen members felt energized and powerful, while the txt members felt weak, beomgyu couldn't even stand still.
They were able to best the txt members because of Y-n's very powerful ability.
The grand finals
All of them felt hatred as they saw that the women from the yesterday were their opponents
Y-n showed no mercy, he traps them inside a birdcage and surrounds it in butterflies. He then touch all the enhypen members and boost their damage by a large amount.
They easily defeated the girls.
They were about to walk away happily when jungwon was shot in the chest. They turn around to see those girls with a gun each in their hands. They shoot all the enhypen members in the same place as they fall one by one. The crowds started to call for the ambulance and security only to realize that this tournament was rigged to the girls favor. There was no one to save them.
Y-n frantically uses all of his healing powers to try and heal them but he spits out blood. He looks at the wound. "Black viper's poison"
"so that's why I can't heal them" he whispers, out of breath.
The women walked up to him and begins to taunt him.
"oh look at you now, a healer is nothing when black viper poison is here. You should have given them to us on that day, then we wouldn't have to resort to such methods. If we can't have them, NO ONE CAN!"
Y-n only chuckles as he lays on jungwon's body.
"wake up, my king."
He kiss jungwon's lips and a huge explosion erupted. Everyone in the audience were blown away by the intense power and only the women remained there, glaring at where the explosion occured. Then you see someone walk out and the women pales. It was jungwon and the other members but now they were in some kind of dark twisted form as their other eyes are covered in some kind of mask and their eyes were purple.
Then Y-n himself walk out, his smile sinister as he takes out his staff and summons giantic lightnings to kill the women. Soon all of their families arrive as they started screaming for their respective sons.
The nishimura family on the other hand was shocked that Y-n awakened it, the Curse of True love. It is a powerful spell that will grant a whole new unexplainable power to whoever they share that power with. It will also save you from the brink of death.
Jungwon's parents ridiculed their son for tarnishing their family's names and other bullshits. Jungwon had enough of his parents, who always treated like trash and decided to slash them in half with his sword. All of the family were shocked but they knew that it was what needs to be done.
Y-n and the other members of enhypen walks away after a brief reunion with their families, which also begged them to stay. But Y-n says in a kind tone which doesn't fit his look at the moment.
"the world is against us, we cannot be here anymore. We will go to our place where we will stay safe and make plans to rid the world from these lowlifes."
"take us with you!" The families said
"are you absolutely sure? Once I do it there's no turning back." Y-n says as he hold out his hand.
The families nod as Y-n also transform them.
In the past, whenever people hear the word enhypen, they are reminded of the 7 strongest fighter in Decelis academy.
Now, if people hear the word enhypen. Those who do bad things will run for their lives as they hear the footsteps of the underworld couple coming to take their lives.

Slave-kun's Happy Life in Another World: Chapter 4
"Well, that child… how should I put this… despite appearances, a simple appraisal shows them to be 9 years old. They're apparently good at cleaning and laundry. However, they can't read or write, and they can't speak normally due to various circumstances. But they do have a lot of magical power."
The master leisurely explains me to him.
Me, with a lot of magical power? This is the first I've heard of it.
More than that, the older brother seems to be interested in me, staring at me intently. I suppose it's natural to be curious when there's a child among adults.
It didn't give me that unpleasant, damp feeling like the previous customer.
For a moment, the profession of "adventurer" brought to mind that unpleasant red hair, but this person felt like a completely different caliber from that degenerate.
Hmm. I like this person.
I feel like I can't just leave them alone. A master who needs care, that's the ultimate honor for a slave.
"… It's likely that further healing will be necessary. I've already called for a healer and had them cast recovery magic on everyone."
"… The fact that they need recovery magic means that their previous workplace must have been quite dangerous."
"Well, yes… That's why I wouldn't recommend them. They're not very suited to labor."
"I see. Well, that's not a problem for me."
The slave trader master carefully explains the disadvantages, but unlike the previous customer, he doesn't try to inflate the price.
That means this master has passed the slave trader's inspection. My slave senses are also telling me it's a good match.
I can't let this opportunity slip away. I have to get them to buy me, no matter what. My eagerness must have shown, because I couldn't help but bounce around a little.
The older brother turns to face me again, crouching down to meet my gaze.
Oh, his eyes are navy blue too.
"Will you come with me?"
I nod immediately.
I've got the job.
I did it.
For the contract, we move to a separate room.
As I leave the room, I look back and see everyone sending me off with kind faces.
I was a little disappointed that the decision had been made earlier, but my comrades who had survived through hell together seemed to be genuinely happy for my job.
I hope everyone else finds good workplaces too.
I silently make this wish as I leave the room.
"Now then, would you mind removing your clothes? Just the top is fine."
The three of us enter the separate room, and the slave trader's master has me sit in a chair while he does something behind my back. Is it contract magic?
"That should be enough for the standard contract. Do you have any other requests?"
"What can you do?"
"Well, for example… How about making it so that you can only talk to the contract holder?"
I want that!
However, my new master frowns.
"Wouldn't forcing that be a burden on him?"
"On the contrary, I think it would be more of a burden to force him to do things without a contract."
"Hmm… Understood. I'll do that."
That's good.
I was wondering what I would do since I have no way of communicating my will. This body can translate languages, but it can't read, it seems.
Additional contracts are added, such as one that would allow me to talk to others if I have permission. The contract is finalized.
Come to think of it, there was only one person I could talk to when I was at the mansion. Even though he was like a butler or a steward, he was thrown into the slave room. Maybe it was thanks to that person that I was able to escape from hell. Are you doing well?
The slave trader pours magical power into my back, followed by my new master. I feel a sensation like a warm breeze passing through my body.
And with that, the contract is complete.
Thin white lines, about 2 centimeters thick, run all over my body. This is apparently the mark of a slave.
It seems to be a magical authentication system, so the contract doesn't require a name.
"That concludes our business. Thank you for your time. As you may know, we provide some important information to all our customers."
With that, the slave trader lists several points of caution.
The basic treatment of slaves.
Slaves must not be given weapons.
The contract is terminated upon the death of the contract holder.
The contract must be renewed every 10 years.
Slaves must be released through the slave trader.
The contract will not be terminated for the first 2 years.
And so on.
He hands my master a booklet summarizing the contents. It feels more like an employment contract than a slave contract.
After filling out some paperwork, my master pays with gold coins that he produces from somewhere, and the transaction is complete.
Or so it should have been.
Because my master hesitantly says, "Do you happen to have any clothes for him? I can't very well take him around in those rags but… I'm completely broke…"
Were things really that tight? It's strange for me to say this as the one who was just bought, but will he be okay?
"Well, I suppose we can provide that as a service," the slave trader sighs, calling over his saleswoman wife to change my clothes.
Personally, I would have been fine with the clothes I was wearing, but apparently they were unacceptable to my master.
To put it mildly, they were pretty shabby.
The slave trader and his wife work together to change my clothes.
They're the standard design for children's clothes in this world, in this country. Loose sleeves, a slightly raised collar, a sash tied around the waist, and three-guarter length pants.
They fit surprisingly well.
They even have shoes, and they're the right size.
Yeah, this is definitely that.
It was prepared just for me.
“…I just happened to have some clothes that my son used to wear.”
The slave trader excuses himself while looking away.
There are no other child slaves in the store right now.
It's strange that even the shoe size fits.
I figured it was clothes he had prepared in case I might need them.
T-h-a-n-k y-o-u.
When I conveyed this with a lip-sync, the slaver made a surprised face, then covered his mouth with his palm as if overwhelmed with emotion and turned away.
He had a mean face, but he was actually an incredibly nice person.
I'm really glad I was taken in by a good store.
By the time I left the slaver's shop with my new master, the sun had risen to its zenith.
The sun rises and sets in this world too. I'm moved by such an ordinary thing.
"Then, let's go to the inn we're staying at."
My new master offers me his hand.
And so began a new slave life filled with hope.

So here’s a little something I wrote for Halloween. Yes, I know it’s literally Thanksgiving right now, but I’m currently very sick and very bored, so have fun, I suppose.
It’s a set of diary entries written by Valerie Landrey, the owner of an apothecary shop band the mentor figure of one of my main characters, Ankis Brice, who is known as Ante Akari in the story (1. Yes, she’s named after that weird doctor lady from I’m the Grim Reaper. I think she was the main character or something? I don’t know, its been like 2 years since I read that webtoon and I remember nothing except I think liked it and it was kind of sad.
2. You may notice that I use she/her pronouns in my little spiel at the top here for Ankis, but Valerie uses he/him pronouns for Ante in the story. That is because Ankis is trans and this story is written before she transitioned, and yes, it did feel vaguely like a social faux pas the entire time I wrote this story as I repeatedly used the wrong pronouns for this character. Feel free to scream at me in the comments about it or something)
Am I happy about how this story came to out? Not particularly. Especially the ending. It doesn’t really make sense if you don’t know the rest of the story, and how things go in the Arc Ankis shows up in. (Spoiler alerts: she’s now a zombie who’s also a traveling healer and in this “will they won’t they” relationship with this ex-priest lady who’s also a main character. Things got complicated real quick.) But I’ve been looking at this thing for like a month now and I’m completely blind to how it actually looks, so I letting the whole world see it as I lay in my bed watching my party get absolutely demolished by that stupid Fire Lady in Dragonheir and think about writing a silly short story set in a super school for my characters.
Six Drops of Oil, Pressed from the Ragata Flower
Threeday, 3rd of Middle Winter, Year 211 ATS
I lost another bet with Ariadne today, so I have to actually do one of my Arkarus Resolutions. Starting a diary seemed like the least annoying, so here we are. I really should stop making bets with her. If I didn’t know any better, I’d think she’s a Seer. If you are reading this while I’m still alive, kindly stop. Especially you Gallas! I know where your rock collection is. Don’t test me. If I’m not alive, then feel free to keep going. What do I care? I’m dead!
I guess I should introduce myself. I’m Valerie Landrey. I grew up in the slum district of Sekan, and now I run an apothecary here tailored to my neighbors who likely don’t have the money for the “luxury” of medicine. Whether or not my brews actually work well is… complicated. I don’t exactly have the best materials to work with, but I try my best and they usually turn out okay. It’s not like my customers complain. They know beggars can’t be choosers.
Sixday, 26th of Old Autumn, Year 216 ATS
So… I may have done something stupid… I took home a child. Look, Ariadne already screamed herself hoarse when she saw him. Why would you take home another mouth to feed, there’s a bunch of street children out there, what’s another one, blah, blah, blah. It felt weird to just leave him there though, you know? He was a scrappy little thing, and the obvious malnourishment didn’t help much. He’s a smart kid though, even tried this whole distraction technique before pickpocketing me. Not that it worked, mind you, but he’s got spunk. It'll be good to have someone to continue the shop after I’m six feet under, anyway. What’s the worst that could happen?
Fiveday, 15th of New Summer, Year 220 ATS
Taking in Ante that day four years ago was the best decision I ever made. That kid’s a genius. You wouldn’t believe the stuff he’s making! My brews had never worked that well. It’s too bad that we couldn’t publicly give him credit for all the work he’s doing, but Deitri discrimination is at an all time high lately. I’m worried about who can be the salesperson for the shop after I’m gone. This place is crucial to the lives of everyone in the slums district. Elves live for a long time, but I’m gonna kick the bucket eventually. For now though, things are good. We’ve even got a few rich customers lately that we could overcharge, so we’re rolling in cash!
Twoday, 2nd of Old Winter, Year 221 ATS
The Count of Borslaot is dead. To be honest, good riddance to bad rubbish. That guy was a nasty piece of work. I heard that he was poisoned, though. It’s just a rumor but I wouldn’t be surprised if it's true. It’s not like he had a shortage of enemies to choose from.
On less nice news, today someone spotted Ante walking around in the shop and called him a demon-spawn. Ante said that it didn't bother him, but I could tell he was angry. Honestly, the discrimination against Deitri is just getting worse. I’m worried that Ante’s going to get shanked or poisoned one day when I’m not looking just because of who he is.
Sixday, 26th of New Spring, Year 222 ATS
Another noble died today. That’s three in as many weeks. Their family had hired me to see if I could tell the cause of death, and Good Calcine. I’m surprised no one threw up while we were there. I’m surprised I didn’t throw up. There was blood everywhere. Dripping out of the body’s eyes, it’s nose, it’s mouth, you name it, there was blood coming out. The bedsheets were practically soaked with crimson. The body had bloody scratch marks all over their throat made from their own fingernails, and their larynx was completely busted, likely from screaming. I’m surprised no one heard them screeching in agony while they died. I could tell the cause of death was a poison, but not what kind. I asked Ante, and he couldn’t figure it out either. There was no trace of any other evidence left behind either. Whoever did this was good. Scarily good.
Twoday, 2nd of Middle Spring, Year 222 ATS
The Poisoner has struck again, and this time, it was a commoner. It wasn’t anyone I knew personally, but Gallas did. He said it was one of his coworkers. They weren’t particularly close - in fact, they practically hated each other, but it still hurt. At first, the killings almost felt like retribution, like the killer was punishing the nobles for their corruption, but this is quickly getting out of hand. Ariadne and Gallas stopped by to chat for a little bit after the shop closed today. Ariadne still doesn’t particularly like Ante, but they’ve learned to be at least cordial with each other. Gallas, on the other hand, loves him. They’ve been on several expeditions outside the city over the years, picking flowers and herbs for the shop. It's clear that he has absolutely no idea what he’s doing when he goes with him, but it's still nice to see him try.
Nineday, 9th of Middle Autumn, Year 222 ATS
People are starting to drop like flies. Half of the major noble families have been wiped out. The city is in shambles. So many power vacuums have opened up, that at this point it's just pandemonium. Ante has been holing up in the back lab for the entire tenday, experimenting with something. I think he’s trying to find a way to cure whatever the Poisoner is using. I’ve barely seen him at all, even for meals. I hope he’s been eating and sleeping enough.
The Darkening is going to begin next month, but I haven’t seen anyone prepare at all. They’re too busy running around freaking out about this Poisoner. You’d think that Calcine, the Burning Sun going out for two days would be more concerning, but I suppose after 222 years of dealing with it every year, I guess it’s not all that exciting anymore. I wonder if anyone would ever find a way to stop the Darkening from spreading. I doubt it. How do you stop something if you don’t even know the cause?
Sevenday, 17 of Middle Winter, Year 222 ATS
There’s been a new victim. It was Ariadne. Yesterday, I woke up to the sound of the front door opening. I had looked to see who it was, and I saw Gallas struggling to close and lock the door, hands trembling. He was still dressed in his night clothes despite the cold temperature. I immediately ran up to him asking, “Good Calcine! Gallas, why are you here? Where’s Ariadne?”
He turned around, his body shaking like a leaf, and from that angle, I could see all of the dried blood caked on his hands and clothing. He collapsed into my arms, muttering, “It’s my fault, it’s my fault, it’s all my fault.”
He organized a funeral for her today, being her next of kin. We all grew up as street kids, so it’s not the first friend I’ve lost, but I thought we were past that part of our lives. The part where we live in fear of what’s to come everyday. I suppose it never truly ends.
Threeday, 33rd of New Winter, Year 222 ATS
They found the Poisoner. They let him have some final words before the executioner cut his head off. I can still hear them echoing in my head. I’ve inscribed them here, for you to see.
“When I was a small child, my parents were shoemakers. Simple folk, but kind. But someone just couldn’t let them be. Someone had just had to punish them for the crime of birthing a demonspawn. So they fixed it. They snuck in one day, chopped their heads off, and paraded them in front of me, their little cursed demon child. Everyone knew who did it, they all knew who killed them. But no one did anything. Too afraid, perhaps. Or maybe they agreed with him. Who knows? That person soon became the Count of Borslaot. And we all know what happened to him. Six drops of oil, pressed from the Ragata flower. That’s all it took to kill my first victim. And the next. And the next. I want you all to remember how fragile your lives are. Maybe then, it’ll serve as a good enough warning for you all the next time you try to feign ignorance.”
Everyone is celebrating Finid outside. It’s always been a frantic holiday. People trying to get all of their affairs in order before the Darkening. I think I’ll be staying inside this time. I’d like to find all of Ante’s things so I can put them into the grave they dug for him. Or maybe I’ll just burn them. I haven’t decided yet.
The Second Day of the Darkening, Year 222 ATS
It’s fitting, how I’m going to die just before the new year begins. I can hear them searching for me in the house. Whether it's the nobles coming to tie off loose ends, or someone new, I know they are coming for me, and I know they will find me. They really were quite clever, doing this during the Darkening. Plenty of people die during it anyway. No one will think foul play is involved. I wonder if I’ll see Ante when I die. He better hope not. I have a few words for him after what he did to Ariadne.

The one with the Force - Chapter 1
So this happened. I have been fighting with myself whether I want to publish it, but well, OK.
English isn't my first language, so I do apologise for any silly (or less silly) mistakes :)
If you prefer to read it on AO3, you are more than welcome ;)
Plot A new tactic has been introduced to help the Jedi and the Clones to fight the War. A young, clumsy and stubborn head of medic and a respected Jedi Master may not be the best mix, however, for some reasons, the Force decided other way.
Pairing: Obi Wan Kenobi x Original Female Character
Warning: nothing in this chapter.
Words: 3 041
There were a lot of things Obi Wan Kenobi wasn’t sure of during this war. How long would it take, how many more of his men he would be forced to see dying, or how many times will Anakin disobey his order. But there was one thing General Kenobi knew for sure. He was tired and in pain. As much as the first one has become some kind of formality for him since his Master died, the second one was becoming an issue. It’s not like he didn’t go to the medics after each mission. But there always seemed to be an emergency before he was able to heal, he always felt like one of his lungs was collapsing, or just a rib making it harder to breathe. He never said it to anyone, but he just wanted to rest. He wanted the war to finally be over, so he, Obi Wan Kenobi could go and have a whole day just to himself. He knew it was selfish, but he didn’t care at this point.
So when he heard a beeping he didn’t stop the groan leaving his lips. He hoped he would at least have an hour for himself, to just lay around and let his body heal. He wasn’t the 20 years old Padawan like Anakin or Ashoka, who seemed to never get tired.
“We need you at the deck”, of course they did. He appreciated Cody, and Force, he couldn’t ask for a better Commdender, but damn, did he hate him at this particular moment. He could feel there was a commotion around. The clones were running around more frantically than normally, as if they were preparing for something.
“Apologies General, but we got a call from Master Windu and Master Yoda” he smiled softly at the Clone and nodded his head, preparing himself mentally for yet another exhausting mission.
“Masters, how can I help you?” He welcomed both of them, trying to hide how much he didn’t want to take part in this briefing.
“We have some good news, Obi Wan”, Windu started and Kenobi knew he must be tired, cause he swore he saw the older Jedi smile. “For a while now, in top secret, we have been preparing a special operation.” He never liked anything that had a ‘top secret’ in its name. Especially if it was a secret, even he didn't know about. But he knew better to ask, so he just nodded as a sign of listening. “We prepared 10 teams of medics that would be deployed to each of the most crucial bases, that would consist of the most well-trained healers we have. All the Jedi Generals should have a healer for themselves, that would help you to be better prepared for the next battles.” It wasn’t easy to surprise Master Kenobi, but Kriff was he in awe. “There is a ship coming your way, with your medics. You and Skywalker will have your own private ones that will follow you through your missions. Whether you take them with you or leave them at the base is up to you.” The silence seemed to stutter for way too long, he felt it, and yet he wasn’t sure how to respond. For the first in a very long time, he didn’t know what to say, and he couldn’t wait to see Anakin’s face when he’s going to find out.
“I won’t lie Master Windu, this is probably the best news I have heard for a very long time”, he chuckled to himself. “I didn’t know we were even preparing something like that.”
“Teams like that would give a lot of hope and probably boost our morale, yes”, he stopped and sighed.
“However, sure whether this would work we were not. Losing that boosted morale would have been a critical punch if we failed. Why this is, it is a secret we decided to make, even from you, master Obi Wan. Yes, hrrrm”, leave it to Master Yoda, to always truly know what he really thought.
“Understood, Master”, the younger Master nodded. “We will prepare everything for them to land, then. How big are the teams?”
“No big, around 5-10 people, depending on the amount of soldiers we have.” Windu answered. “They are well trained”, there was a pause and then a sigh “Trained by the best one of them.” There was something about it that didn’t sit well with Kenobi. “She will be appointed to you Kenobi. She is the head healer, however”, yet another sigh and even Yoda had to chuckle to himself. “Be wary, she is hard to take in.”
***
“So there we are”, she turned and smiled at the Twi’leks, second in command, head medic of her team and one of her best friends. “I didn’t believe it would work. When Yoda and Windu accepted that silly idea of yours, I was sure they were out of their minds, or desperate.”
“Probably both”, she smiled to herself playing with her hair nervously. “And it’s good to know that you consider this mission silly, Dia.”
“Not anymore, but the idea itself was very controversial”, the Twi’leks rolled her eyes. “Not to mention that you are still just a kid, Nara”, Dia laughed when her friend’s fist landed on her arm.
“I’m 27, thank you very much!!” She crossed her arm in front of her and smiled fondly, at her friend. “I am just a kid, right? It’s scary. I remember when we started the studies, I would never have imagined that I would be a head of medics at the age of 25 and be a part of the War against those scums.” They both came silent. It was unbelievable, truely, but there was no time for that. “I have to be honest. I’m nervous. When I proposed the idea, I didn’t think we would become private medics for the Generals. We will have a lot of work to do, you know?”
“Yeah, I heard stories of Anakin Skywalker. But General Kenobi doesn’t sound much better”, there was a pause and a mischievous smile crossed Dia’s lips. “But I don’t think you mind that much.” Nara blushed a little bit and looked at the window, preparing herself mentally for the landing.
***
Hard to take in. He wasn’t sure what Master WIndu meant by that, but Kenobi was sure that he had forgotten that he had Anakin as his Padawan for a long time. If the healer was the head medic, then she was probably an older lady. Nothing to worry about, he was sure. As much as he would get healed after his mission, he couldn’t care less, of whatever the old lady would talk about.
He smiled to himself seeing a small cruiser landing. This new team would be a blessing for them. Of this he would be sure. A moving medic station was a brilliant idea that may change the course of the War.
“There seems to be 5 medics and 2 pilots on board, with some equipment”, Cody stated calmly. “We have prepared quarters for them just as Master WIndu asked. Two separate ones for the Generals’ medics.” Kenobi nodded and smiled thankfully to the Clone. “That is a nice surprise, if I may say.”
“Yes, definitely. Much better than another briefing on the mission.”, he started to walk to greet the team, frowning not seeing a head medic on the board. The average age of the team seemed to be around 40. “Welcome”, maybe she was still inside…”Thank you for coming. We were briefly informed by Master Windu about the situation, and let me tell you, I can not be more happy to have you here.” The group looked at him and they all smiled. A short, not higher than 160 cm, young girl, with big green eyes and long blonde hair stepped out of line, greeting him with a pleasant smile.
“You must be Master Obi Wan Kenobi!” Her voice was calm and nice for the ears. “My name is Nara Ardan, and I am a head medic.” Well this definitely was a special day in the history of Jedi. It was once again that Master Obi Wan was lost with words. She was definitely not an old, grumpy lady he was expecting. She was young. Closer to Anakin’s age, than… Well, no it must have been a mistake. “It is a great honor to finally meet you! Mace isn’t really a man of compliments, but he does speak highly of you.”
“Mace? You mean Master Windu?” He raised his brow. Not many people outside of the Order would speak his first name. Windu didn’t speak of her other than today, so Kenobi doubted that they were close friends.
“Oh, yes, forgive me. I forgot he hates when I use his first name”, she chuckled and paused when a girl behind her coughed slightly. “Oh, apologies! Please Master Kenobi, please meet my team! This tall drink of water is Dia, my right hand, a second to commend in the medic base, and a new private doctor of Master Skywalker, who I see isn’t present.”
“He does have a mission, with his Padawan”, Obi Wan smiled slightly at Dia, who nodded back. “I do have to apologize in advance, Dia, as a Master I did what I could…” Both women chuckled lightly at the humor.
“These three blocks up there, are the finest men in the galaxy. And they specialize in bacta and internal issues. We ain’t the biggest team, but I can assure you, we are the best at what we do”, a little wink didn’t go unnoticed by the Jedi, who nodded his head. “Fed, Horrad, Gal, please meet General Obi Wan Kenobi.” Their handshake and posture were much more professional than their young boss’. What bothered Kenobi was the fact that the supposed head medic was the youngest out of them. He wouldn’t bother much if she was just the head of the team, however, if what Windu said was true, she was indeed a head of the Republic medics. “Is everything alright, General?” He didn’t realize he was striking his beard, eyes on the girl that was momentarily occupying his mind.
“He has the same reaction as everyone else who found out that a kid like you is head of medics.” Dia murmured, making the Jedi shift uncomfortably. The man sighed and was about to apologize, when the young woman started to laugh.
“You are just 5 years older than me, so shut it will ya?” She turned her head to the Jedi, and it was the first time when the Master saw her serious. “I know and understand that my age may bother you, General Kenobi.” Her voice was still as calm as ever, but Obi Wan could feel it has become more strict and professional to what she sounded previously. “However, please be advised to not underestimate me just because I am a bit closer to the age of your previous Padawan than yours. Especially seeing how the same man seems to have the same respect in your eyes I lack.” He frowned, knowing that despite the softness to her voice, she was making a point. “However, as much as I understand that the respect must be earned and not just given, I ask one simple thing from you, Master Jedi.” She closed the gap that was separating them and looked up, to make sure she was looking straight into his eyes. “That you look at me based on my and my team’s achievements, rather than my age.” And before he was able to respond, she signaled the whole team to follow, asking one of the Clones to show them to their quarters.
“Not gonna lie”, Cody chuckled still looking at surprised Kenobi, “I do like the feisty little Lady”.
******
This was not how she wanted their first meeting to go. She expected the Clones would be wary of her, but seeing at his reputation, she expected more from General Kenobi. The way he looked at her, made her question all of the opinions she held so close about the Jedi Order. Or maybe, it was just her and her nerves getting the better of her…
“I have to admit, that was sexy”, she turned around and raised her brow at Dia, who was standing at the entrance of their medic room. She had to admit, it was bigger than she expected. She wasn’t sure how much time Windu gave them to prepare it but it was a decent start to something much bigger and more organized “I thought your absurd adoration towards Jedi would stop you from fighting for yourself, and there you are”
“Just because I admire them, doesn’t mean I will let them disrespect me, just because I am a little younger than they expected me to be. I was able to persuade Mace, nothing should be more difficult than that.” The woman smiled proudly at her younger friend. There were times when it was her that was responsible for defending the now head of medics. Her low self esteem was the only thing keeping her from being Great. It still pushes her back a lot, but it’s much better than it used to be.
“Yeah, sexy” Nara couldn’t help the laugh that escaped her. “I let Fed know of the equipment. He’s taking care of it with the boys” the younger one nodded and smiled thankfully. “Not too many beds.”
“No, but considering that it was put at the last minute, it’s not bad at all”, Dia smirked to herself, seeing how her little friend is already thinking of how to make it better in the most efficient and fastest way possible. If Dia had just one word to describe Nara, it would be Genius. And it wasn’t just a book smart thing. She understood, she adapted and used her gathered knowledge like a genius would. She was the youngest to ever enroll in the academy, and the youngest to finish it as well. However, Dia knew that despite Nara being a genius, nothing really came easy for her. No one spent as much time in the archives and libraries as she did. No one knew as much about the galaxy's medical herbs as she did. She was gifted, smart, talented but most importantly kind hearted. A must have for a healer. “How many bact bombs do we have?”
“Not many I suppose. Making them isn’t as easy as we hoped. Horrad, would probably be of use to you when it comes to that. He would be happy to spend some time playing around it”. A single nod of acknowledgement. Nara was focused on the documentation, preparation and calculation. Dia always wondered what was inside of her friend’s mind when started to doze off and focus on more important issues.
“Here”, she mumbled and gave Dia a list of things she thought were essential for the med room. “I am almost finished with the aid kit update. I still need to think of things or two. I would be grateful if you all would contribute to my ideas… I’m still working on the synthesizer, but it will take me a while, unfortunately. And I will need Fed help with it. Unfortunately I’m rubbish with technology.”
“Then I am sure, Anakin would be more than happy to help”, the both women jumped hearing a voice behind them. “Apologies, my ladies, I did not plan to scare you”. A sheepish smile was sent towards them, and for a second Nara wasn’t sure how this innocent and adorable man was considered one of the biggest threats by the Separatists.
“I did hear Master Skywalker was more than adept with technology. He should easily find things to talk about with the boys.” Dia smiled and looked at Nara, who looked around the room, not to focus too much on the Master. She was truely adorably naive. “I'll send your wish list to the headquarters.”
“Thank you, and please go rest. Send the boys away as well please”, she half-shouted after her girl. “She works too much sometimes, seriously…” She murmured, forgetting for a second that she was not alone. “She… We were working until late yesterday so they didn’t get much sleep… You know…” She answered, playing with her little pen. Obi wan smirked to himself. It has been a while since he saw someone using something as simple as a pen.
“What about you? You don’t seem to plan on resting”, he raised his brow at her, and walked inside the room. He hated med rooms, but for some reason it didn’t bother him to be in one right now.
“First couple of days are crucial for us to build a strong and study med bay. I still have some things to do. As a head of med team I also need to contact other teams, to supervise how the situation looks like in other places. I don’t need that much sleep.” She bit her lip nervously, looking away. “But don’t worry I won’t forget about my duties as your private medic.” If she looked up, she would have noticed how his eyes softened and her comment. A small smile crept upon his lips and a weird sense of calmness spread inside of him.
“You do have a lot of work.I do not wish to keep you busy, however, I do want to apologize.” This time her eyes traveled up to meet his blue ones, not expecting to hear that. “You are right, your age did surprise me. You are very young for someone who holds such an important position. However, I trust that I made a great mistake judging you before you had a chance to prove yourself.” He bowed slightly, making her take a step back by surprise. “Forgive me, I hope we can start off again on better terms.” A surprise was quickly replaced by a small, soft smile that brightened her whole face. She took some step forward and extended her hand.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, General Kenobi. I am Nara Ardan, I am a head of medics. I can’t wait to start working with you.”
“Pleasure is all mine, Miss Ardan.”

Hi!! I remember attempting to ask another blog for a request like this but I was half-asleep so I can't remember if I really did or not ToT
But could I please get some fluffy hcs for the duwang gang having a shy crush(fem pronouns if you're comfortable with it) that's a secondary healer, who's stand heals via kisses so they're always giving everyone little pecks on the cheek or hand until they decide to make a move on them by giving them a full kiss on the lips before running off in embarrassment?
Thanks for taking the time to read this whole request, I hope you have a nice day!!
Duwang Gang with a Fem!S/O who’s Stand Heals with Kisses HCs
𝐀/𝐍: Sure thing anon! Aaa this is a really cute prompt and I hope you enjoy these hcs! Oh and I also added Yukako in here too bc I felt like writing her her and consider her a part of the Duwang Gang, hope you don’t mind!
𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠(𝐬): (Some) Spoilers for Part 4!
Tumblr media
Josuke Higashikata
- Josuke always gets flustered whenever you or your stand gives him kisses on his hands and cheeks! He’s thankful, of course, as you’re healing whatever cuts or scrapes he’s gotten from a day’s worth of fighting, but still, you’re his crush and he can’t help but get blushy around you!
- He also may not be entirely sure you have a crush on him too, so he’s always trying to act tough in order to get your attention, though this just ends up giving him new wounds for you to heal mostly.
- You two fight well together, as despite being able to restore things to how they were, Josuke can’t use his ability on himself, but you can use yours on him!
- And finally, the day you decide to finally kiss him and confess, you do so and both of you blush red. You run away with a red face, shouting a ‘Thank you!’ as you do so!
Okuyasu Nijmura
- Okuyasu loves you and your stand! Though he’d never admit that out loud! Not yet at least, he wants to make sure you like him back too!
- He’s super chill with the kisses you and your stand give him! He’s grateful they can heal him (since he gets roughed up a lot), but he’s also glad for them because you two can be close!
- Okuyasu likes to joke that you two are total opposites, as The Hand takes away things while your stand gives back!
- When you kiss him on the lips and confess, he’s definitely standing there for a moment in shock. Then, when you run away chanting, “H-have a good day Okuyasu!!! I’ll see you later!”, he’ll smile the biggest smile and eagerly await seeing you again later in the day!
Koichi Hirose
- Nervous boy!!! Koichi will and will always get flustered by you and your stand’s kisses! They’re welcomed, of course, but always manage to catch him off gaurd! Even if he knows he’s hurt, you giving him kisses will always make his cheeks glow red.
- That being said, he still finds your stand to be lovely and kind! You selflessly healing him time after time really makes his heart melt, and he’s incredibly thankful!
- He knows Josuke can heal him too, but oftentimes he tags along with you just so he can keep you company and so forth! Josuke and Okuyasu like to tease him about having an obvious crush, but he knows they mean well.
- Will definitely confess the same time as you. Like, you’ll give him your kiss and eagerly thank him while running, but he’ll laugh and yell, “N-no need to apologize Y/N! I-I like you too and see you later!” after you!
Yukako Yamagishi
- Now I’d argue Yukako is the most chill with your stand and you giving her kisses. Sure, she’s a bit surprised at first, but she welcomes them fast!
- Althoufh after sometime she mayyy start conceiving more plans to get injured so you can kiss her. Like one time she purposely let her finger slip on a knife and told you about the cut on the way to school. She doesn’t mean any harm of course! She just loves when you or your stand give her kisses!
- She also kinda gets into fights with other girls at school a lot, sooo expect her to come to you for that reason more often than not. Still though, she likes to joke she’d be dead without you, and stubbornly refuses to ask Josuke since she likes you more.
- And of course, when you finally kiss her and run off, she’s also standing there in a daze for a moment. However, that daze quickly turns to a smile when you’re also running off blushing. “Bye for now Y/N! I’m so glad you feel the same~!” She calls after you.
