So this was originally just going to be a post about how I've opened requests again but then I glanced at the date and?????
IT'S THE ANNIVERSARY OF MY FIRST LU FIC??????
(totk too ofc - can't forget that either <3)
but it feels like I should do something to celebrate it? Seeing as the first fic I wrote was pretty heavily based around music - it feels fitting to do something based on it yet again
So if anyone has any songs they'd like to see as a drabble then send it in <3 you can pick a link for it or just see where the vibes of the song lead
Tumblr media
and just seriously - another thank you to everyone that's here, this year really wouldn't have been as good as it was without everyone who's made it so enjoyable

You're mine, sweetheart
Summary: Theo cheers you up after a shit day
Theodore Nott x reader
Tumblr media
Pansy looked me up and down, hate simmering in her eyes. She scoffed "Don't tell me that's what your wearing. You look like an absolute slag"
After being best friends with her for our first few years and realising how toxic she really was I had tried to keep my distance from her but she didn't get the hint and instead liked to comment on each and every thing I did. Of course the comments hurt me but maybe after the years they just didn't hurt as much. Maybe I was immune now. The dress I had chosen for this nights party was a short green dress, something to celebrate our Quidditch win but of course the dress didn't live up to her expectations. What was really annoying was she wore a similar dress just a few weeks back but according to her I was the one who looked like a slag.
"I think it looks nice Pansy"
I turned to my mirror and applied a light pink lip gloss that was almost finished because of the amount of times I had used it. I couldn't be bothered arguing with her tonight. I wasn't about to let her ruin my mood.
"I bet you tried finding the shortest dress in that store"
I rolled my eyes "What are you on about?" I was getting tired of her stupid, annoying comments.
"You know exactly what I'm on about. Don't think Theo's gonna fuck you after this, honey. Your just like all the other desperate bitches at the party"
I gritted my teeth together and put my lip gloss down trying to appear as unaffected as I could. "Fuck off. Jealousy isn't a good look on you"
I walked past her, tears forming in my eyes. Before I could leave she made sure to mutter "Once a whore, always a whore". I let my feet carry me outside to the warm summer evening where the sun was setting. I walked around the lake trying to blink away the tears so my makeup wouldn't be ruined. Was there any point of going to the party? No, probably not.
I sat down on hill, the freshly mowed grass making a soft carpet for me to relax on. Me and Theo had sat hear many times before whether it was to have a late night snack or to miss lessons. It was a comforting place.
I sat there until the sun set and soon it got darker. Almost too dark. My thoughts had cleared now. My tears no longer trying to make an appearance. Maybe I could join the party. Just because one person was being an ass didn't mean everyone else would be.
As I was contemplating on whether I should stand up or not someone cleared their throat behind me. I raised my wand instantly expecting...well something scary I guess.
It was in fact Theo holding a small golden lantern. I didn't bother standing up and instead waited for him to flop down next to me.
"My favourite person isn't going to congratulate me on my performance today?" He placed the lantern between us so we were both bathed in a warm orange light. I could just about make him out, his features looking almost worried.
"You were good." I said. I didn't have the social battery to talk to him right now even if he had done nothing wrong.
He smiled at me "I know. What's up with you? Your usually dragging me to parties but instead your...well from my point of view it looks like your mourning your rabbit"
I let out a small laugh. Even at times like these he could make me laugh. "I just don't understand. Why is it so hard for some people to be nice?"
Theo shrugged "They're probably insecure. Or jealous."
"Yeah. Probably"
We sat in silence for another few minutes before Theo stood up stretching out his hand to me "Come on, sweetheart. Your the life of the party. It's no fun without you"
I stood up and handed him the lantern instead "You can be the life of the party tonight. I'm tired"
"Don't let someone ruin what you want to do. Y/n you love parties. You've never missed one. Unless you really are tired, I'll respect your decision and walk with you to your room"
I contemplated my options. I could do what I really wanted to do which was go to the party and enjoy life with my friends or I could get cosy in my bed and feel like a coward for the next week. He was right. No one got to influence what I wanted to do.
"Your playing truth or drink with me then"
He grinned at me "Whatever you want, sweetheart"
As we walked back inside the castle from a more hidden entrance Theo made sure to hold my hand because apparently he "didn't want me to trip and get hurt". Whatever the reason was it didn't stop butterflies from forming in my stomach.
I had to blink at the sudden brightness of the corridors, the light finally letting me see Theo clearly. He had dropped my hand and instead was surveying me.
Theo's eyes took their time on inspecting my outfit, hungrily devouring the way the dress emphasised my curves. He finally brought his gaze up to look at me, his eyes slightly darker than usual "You look absolutely divine"
I smiled at the compliment "If you weren't my best friend, I'd say you were flirting with me"
He raised an eyebrow "Maybe I am. It's quite hard not to when my best friend is so fucking gorgeous" My cheeks heated at his words, my dress feeling a little too tight all of a sudden. I think I needed to sit down after that.
He extended his arm so I could wrap my hand around it. "I can't wait to tell everyone we're dating"
I paused. What did he say? "If that's ok with you" He added hastily.
I thought about what he said. Had I always imagined what it would be like if Theo asked me out and we weren't just best friends anymore? Of course I did. Every single second of every single day.
"That's fine with me"
He smiled again, a small dimple appearing in his left cheek "Then it's settled. Your mine, sweetheart. And I'm yours"

try it out | j. fleming
summary; if jessie likes your hobbies, you should like hers.
🎵 jackie and wilson - hozier
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
since you were a little kid you've loved lego, it's just common for children to adore it and want as much as possible until they reach a certain age and decide to throw it out instead of letting it grow dusty on their shelves. you were the opposite to other kids, keeping up with the so-called obsession and spending a fair amount of money on it, hating the idea of making new things yourself and opting to stay with the sets lego would release often. your favourite type of lego set to build was the cars, they were just so cute and didn't take up too much of your day, giving you something to focus on and use to calm down in your free time.
jessie loved your adoration of lego. she found it adorable how you'd get excited when you saw a new set you wanted and bought it almost immediately after a moment of contemplation about the price, the canadian knowing you'd always end up getting it anyways. she'd bought you a new lego set for christmas, a massive white porsche 911 that clearly wouldn't have been cheap due to the size, you complained about the inevitable price but she waved you off with the claim of your smile being worth much more when you saw it and thanked her.
now you were finally getting around to building it and would need help no matter how much you hated to admit it. the bigger sets always got the best of you and you'd either do it wrong or be unable to find a piece you needed, so jessie decided to help out. it was going well so far, sitting comfortably on the living room floor as she'd help you put pieces in place and hand you the odd one you were struggling to find, other than that she would sit and watch in awe as you concentrated more than she'd ever seen- even in training you'd never been this focused.
"since i'm helping you with your hobby, would you wanna try one of mine when we've finished this?"
you looked up momentarily to figure out what she meant before going back to pushing the lego pieces together, finally understanding jessie's question.
"as long as it's not hockey or photography, you know how i am with those two."
"don't worry babe, it's neither of them. i was thinking maybe you'd wanna try painting for the first time?"
jessie handed you a lego piece you were struggling to find for the next step, yourself smiling in thanks and leaning over to kiss her cheek softly as you took it out of her hand.
"yeah, why not? i am pretty bad at painting though, just to warn you."
"you're only bad at painting if you're not fully focused. you'll have me to help out too!"
after another couple hours of piecing together your new lego set you'd finally finished it, looking down in pride alongside jessie as you high-fived to celebrate finally being able to get rid of the hip cramp from how you were sat.
"okay, you go find a place for that whilst i get the stuff for painting yeah?"
"okay baby."
you smiled in response before setting off upstairs and finding your lego shelf, having to move a few things about before you could fit the massive model. looking at it in pride one last time, you set off downstairs to find jessie laying out paints and brushes alongside two canvases next to each other, the canadian opting to sit across from you rather than next to you so you wouldn't get paint on each other.
"oh this is gonna be fun!"
you stated excitedly as jessie grinned at your enthusiasm for her hobby, glad you share an aptitude in exploring each others interests. you sat down across from jessie and picked up a pencil like she did, noticing the small smile she wore once she realised you were copying her in fear of doing anything wrong.
"what are we painting then?"
your question sent jessie deep into thought for a moment as she looked around the room for ideas.
"oh! i've got it. how about we paint what we think the other would be if we were animals but don't tell each other? you know, like a guessing game."
"that's such a cute idea! i'm not sure how i'm gonna draw my animal though."
"just google a picture, you'll be fine baby."
you grabbed your phone and googled 'moose' to remember what they even look like, realising you'd gotten yourself into trouble choosing this animal but it was too late now. you stood your canvas up on the small easel jessie had brought over for you just like she did with her own, making sure she couldn't see when you drew the first couple lines and it immediately went wrong. deciding to commit and feeling it might get better as you draw more, you continued the outline of your moose and it gradually got better, it wasn't the best but it was certainly a lot easier to make out than when you first started a couple minutes ago.
once you'd finished with your outline you grew weary of the painting part, knowing you'd have to get it over and done with otherwise you'd be drawing instead. you grabbed the colours you needed and set them out on a small palette, getting to work on painting the moose and being surprised by how easy it was, deciding to even paint in the background as one that looks like the boreal forest in canada whenever it snowed. jessie was finishing up her painting by now and seemed very proud of it just the same as you, adding a couple finishing touches and putting down her paintbrush a couple minutes before yourself.
"you ready?"
she asked as you stood up in front of your canvases, nodding your head in response. eager to show your work and getting a nod from jessie once she saw your excitement, you turned around your easel and watched her jaw drop in amazement.
"oh my god, baby that's the most beautiful painting i've ever seen. and you think i'm a moose! god i love you so much, you're so good at this!"
"it's mediocre, jess- and of course i think you're a moose! they're all you ever talk about. i need to see what animal i am though, the suspense is killing me."
jessie snapped out of her amazement and grinned down at her painting for a moment before spinning the easel around, showing you a stunning painting of an elephant in the african outback, a beautiful sunset along the background.
"before you take it wrong, i chose an elephant because you're so gentle and caring. you know how nice they can be."
jessie shyly explained as you grinned in appreciation, admiring the painting for a couple more moments before stepping forwards and pulling her into a soft kiss.
"it's almost as beautiful as you jess."
"alright playboy, stop trying to flatter me just so you can get my art for free."
"oh i had to pay hm?"
you teased, jessie nodding her head in response as you smiled at each other and turned towards your paintings.
"of course, artwork like that doesn't come for free. i reckon around three hundred quid."
"i'm selling mine for that amount too, maybe we can swap and call it even?"
"good idea, i want your signature too though."
you quickly grabbed a pencil and signed your painting in a blank area, jessie doing the same with hers as you swapped paintings and shook each others hands.
"pleasure doing business with you."
"but of course."
the brunette laughed with you and leaned forward for a soft kiss, both of you pulling away not long after to clear up all the paints and brushes before looking around the house for a perfect spot. you eventually found one right above your shared bed, the moose being hung up above jessie's side and elephant hung up above yours, like a little inside joke.

Howdy!
Could I ask for romantic headcanons for what initially makes Blitzø, Stolas and Millie fall for the person they're interested in?
Hope that makes sense lol. Much love to you <3
Blitzo | Millie | Stolas [Romantic]
In which their initial interest in you begins to flourish
Tumblr media
It was a tough mission, one far before Blitzo had formally established IMP
It was just him and his gun, payed hefty cash under a table to take care of a target
He hadn't expected the target would notice him, and the tables would turn so quickly
With his back pressed against the floor, and a gun placed firmly into his skull, he surely thought that was it
But the first shot was drawn not by the target, but another demon wielding an old shotgun
Blood was everywhere, splattered across the ceiling, himself, and you
And good lord, did that crimson ever bring out the colour of your eyes
One of those stupid slo mo scenes in his mind, at least until he realised you'd killed the target before he had- and- wait, why were there two of you?
" Good call on the client for bringing in a backup plan, huh? You ain't bad but you could be better. "
You had helped him back home after that, and to his surprise, split the cash amount equally, citing something about how bait was just as important as the kill
Since then, you were the only thing on his mind, and his new shining obsession
Tumblr media
Growing up in Wrath, Millie was well acquainted with those around her, and found it easy to spot someone who wasn't local
And boy, you were anything but local
The delivery person who dropped off supplies for the ranch from various rings, you looked nothing like the folk around here, far more...modern
Eventually, she happily took up the 'chore' of handling drop offs and pick ups just for an excuse to talk to you, and learn about you
Your stories of the other rings drew her in, feeding the yearning she had to adventure amongst them
Her parents preferred to keep their rowdy girl home, where it was safer, but when you offered to take her with you on a delivery to the pride ring, she begged her parents until they reluctantly agreed
Not that it mattered, she would have snuck out if she had to
You brought her up to the pride ring, showed her the sights and even let her speak to one of your other clients, IMP
Thanks to you, she eventually got a job with them, and she still insists on taking care of any of IMPs drop offs
Tumblr media
Stolas often felt isolated in the place he was pretty much forced to live in and continue to work from day in and out
Always the same faces, the same servitude, the same job, nothing ever changed
The only people he got 'close' to were other royals, since everyone else had to bow their heads to him and followed the speak when spoken to mentality
But like every royal, there were a few ceremonies and festivals he had to attend to where he got to interact with the denizens of hell in a more refreshing manner
That was where he met you, at the winter solstice celebration, which was annually held in the pride ring
You were a descendant of the former event runner, now tasked with welcoming the prince and shifting the temperature cycle of hell through an ancient artefact
Stolas found you far more welcoming than the last, having invited him into your home the day prior so he didn't have to travel so early, and asking him many questions of how his experience of it was in the past
This year, he opened the gate to the mortal sky far wider, and for longer, as a small gift to repay your kindness
He hopes you consider a summer solstice event, so he can see you more than once a year

Author's Note - Thank you so much for requesting!! I decided to be a lil creative and make something neat up, I hope it was to your liking!

Title: Birthday Celebrations
Synopsis: You surprise Satoru with a little celebration on his birthday.
Character: Gojo Satoru x reader.
Series: Let's Meet in the Spring (SaShiSu x reader)
Notes: Teacher AU! Pure fluff, soft Gojo & celebrations. Some angst at the end.
The whole time, I was listening to Kim Sejeong's "If we do" & "Star blossom" because the vibe for this fic is literally based off that! Just the sweetness of them! 😸
Tumblr media
The one thing you weren't sure about on Satoru's birthday was how you'd get out of bed without him clinging to you or waking up.
You pressed a finger to your lips as you sneaked Yuuji, Megumi and Nobara into your apartment, making sure they stayed quiet as they held the large cake box in their hands.
Megumi, carrying the box containing the fruit decorated mille crepe cake, headed straight into the kitchen to put it into the fridge for later, greeting Shoko and Suguru who'd been laying on the sofa scrolling through their phone and reading a book, respectively.
The table had a half filled medium sized card open, some colourful markers surrounding it, all the while a bouquet of fresh flowers of all kinds sat in a vase, lighting up your apartment with a hue of colours.
"All done?" You mouthed to your besties, writing in the air to imitate writing in the card.
Suguru shook his head, pointing to the three younger sorcerers who were busying themselves with setting up the extra plates to prep for the surprise, blowing balloons as quietly as possible and setting up everything else for the interior so it was more like a birthday celebration.
You gave him an 'ok' signal and urged each young sorcerer silently to write on the card first, while the teachers did the decorations in their stead.
It was Gojo Satoru's birthday today, and last night the other teachers and you had been eating and drinking together in your apartment, when Satoru decided to crash at yours for the night because he was familiar with the place and whined that he didn't want to go home.
Of course, you surrendered half of your bed to him, but beknownst to you, Suguru and Shoko also stayed over at the last minute, but took the sofa in the living room or the ground.
Normally Satoru didn't sleep much, but whenever he was at yours, he'd sleep for a longer period of time than normal, maybe even double the amount of time spent when he was at his own place. It was relaxing for him, and he would spend the night here and there to catch up on any sleep or if he just wanted to rest and not worry.
So, taking advantage of this opportunity, Shoko, Suguru and you decided to host a little birthday celebration to those who could make it, at your apartment. It was a small little thing for him to wake up to, so everyone woke up extra early (surprisingly not hungover), to assist with the preparations before Satoru woke up around 8am (for some reason he was incredibly prompt with his waking up at 8am when he slept at your place. No idea why, it just happened).
You knew he only slept an average of a few hours each night, but he always knocked out cold around 12am-1am whenever he was at yours. So he was already asleep by the time you cleaned up your apartment and prepared yourself for bed.
Needless to say, it was heartwarming to see the strongest so vulnerable in your safe space.
And it was even better when realising he chose this as his safe space to be vulnerable in because you were there. He'd say it as a joke but he's absolutely obsessed and 100% serious. And by extension, Suguru and Shoko, who would come over on frequent occasions.
"We're done with the card!" Yuuji whispered to Suguru. The taller male gave him a smile and took the card, starting to decorate it with cute little pictures he learned in secret for this day (he did it secretly at yours), and passing it to Shoko, who shoved it into the bouquet of flowers.
"Fushiguro, pass me the party hats." Kugisaki pointed to the party hats as she whispered. She'd prepped the streamers by throwing them around the place, and even created a cute little area for tea so everyone can have cake and tea together.
Wordlessly, the spiky haired male gave them to her, taking one for himself begrudgingly to wear later since he knew Gojo would annoy him to do so.
"I'm going to check on Satoru." You pointed to the direction of your bedroom, notifying the others to keep quiet as they continued their preparations.
Giving you the thumbs up, you quietly crept back into your room, double checking the time to make sure it wasn't 8am yet. It was probably around 7.30am, but since you were out of bed and Satoru liked to hug something while asleep (sometimes that being you), you wondered if that ever affected his sleep pattern.
You opened the door, looking into the darkness that was your room. The blind let only light streams of light filter through, barely illuminating it enough for you to see Satoru's silhouette in your bed.
A smile graced your lips as you closed the door behind you, sauntering over to your side of the bed, leaning down to examine his features as he slept.
He looked so calm, so relaxed and oh so pretty without his blindfold on. His white lashes touched by the barely there light source were so long and so fluffy you were tempted to touch them and see if they were real. Lips so glossy it pissed you off that you wanted to kiss them have them for yourself, and skin so smooth and soft it made you jealous because he never did anything to it.
Was this man any more perfect?
How dare he.
You gently placed your hand on top of his fluffy white locks, lightly petting his head affectionately like you would do a resting cat.
After the first couple of ones, he stirred, groaning lightly as he rolled towards you, hugging onto the doona for warmth. His eyes barely fluttered open when you continued your ministrations, but closed right away because he knew it was you. He let out a pleased hum and scooted closer to the edge of the bed, making you smile as you finally sat down on the bed.
You continued to thread your fingers through his hair, humming a light tune as he leaned into your touch, falling asleep again from the calmness of it all.
"Happy birthday, Satoru." You leaned down and pressed a light kiss on top of his head, smoothing over the area with your hand afterwards. "My favourite blue eyed giant with long legs."
"At least call me handsome on my birthday..." He mumbled, one eye half opening to look at you in the dark.
He couldn't tell if what he saw was an angel or not - with the light slowly rising in intensity, but still keeping its softness, one side of you was illuminated with that soft light, the light colours making it look dreamier and hazier than usual.
His breath hitched.
You were breathtaking.
"Sure, Mr handsome Satoru." The sound of his name leaving your lips was wonderful, and he hoped to hear it everyday to awaken him from his slumber.
Satoru only grinned, lazily flipping onto his side to face you, a heavy arm draping over your mid section as he cuddled up to you.
You only laughed at his actions, he was so clingy. But you didn't mind it, since it was a different type of clingy to what he usually was.
This type was more endearing, though you welcomed both.
You stayed in bed for a while with him, absentmindedly continuing your ministrations on his hair as he fell in and out of sleep. It wasn't until around 8am where he actually felt the need to wake up properly, stretching his long limbs over the bed as he got ready for his day.
"C'mon, let's get up." You gently patted his stomach as he laid on his back like a starfish. He tensed and sat up right away, swinging his legs over to where you were and giving you a back hug as he clung to you like a koala.
"Don't wanna." He buried his face into the back of your neck, breathing in your scent as he tried to get his daily dose of you.
You sighed, patting at his arm as you tried to get up. "Satoru..."
The slight whine in your voice made Satoru perk up as he let you go. He wanted to continue, but he didn't want to get headbutted like he did last time when the exact same thing happened.
"Ok, ok, I'm getting up." He sighed and slid off the bed, preparing himself in your connected bathroom by using all your products.
You went outside the room as he got ready, giving nods to the anticipating audience.
As Gojo opened the door to the living room, his brows raised and an 'o' formed on his lips.
"Happy Birthday!"
A chorus of happy celebrations echoed in the early morning, making Satoru completely stunned at the actions. He grinned ear to ear as he was handed the bouquet of flowers from Yuji, and everyone singing the birthday song for him.
Even though Satoru knew that everyone was there even when he was asleep, he was pleased nonetheless with the celebration. He had an inkling this wasn't the only little surprise, and later in the day the others would do the same once he started work.
It warmed his heart as he thanked everyone in an overly exaggerated manner, giving everyone a big hug or pat on the head.
He smooshed his cheek next to yours, nuzzling you like he would a pet cat, making the others laugh and tell you both to get a room.
As he got presented with the mille crepe cake he swear he could smell even in his sleep, the candle on it was somehow oddly shaped like him that he wondered if it was custom made. He made a wish he could only guard close to his heart, blowing out the candles and sharing the cake around.
This is nice, he found himself thinking. The atmosphere was so bright, it nearly blinded him. It felt surreal, almost like he was dreaming, one where he could wake up from any moment, transporting him back to a time where the world wasn't as bright.
If he didn't have what he has now, what would his life be like? Would he be the same? Being bathed in such warmth made him want to stay forever. He didn't want this to end, nor did he want to imagine a world without the people he cherished the most.
Satoru popped a piece of the crepe cake into his mouth, admiring the smiles of everyone, burning their lively images into his mind.
He hoped everyone would continue to keep their shine and warmth, especially you, who shone the brightest.
Let's stay like this a little longer.

Big Girl (Mick Schumacher)
Mick is working on not letting his wife be the 'bad cop parent' on her own and he's doing pretty good (well, for the most part)
Note: english is not my first language. She's back with a big piece (but that will be the only one for awhile, and this is also to celebrate the end of building work in the house! I finally have a fully functioning house!), it was just such a delicous concept and something I feel a lot about so I wanted to write a big piece for it
Thank you so much to everyone who likes and reblogs, your feedback is appreciated even though I don't have the time that I used to have to dedicate here 🤍 and I'm not taking requests, but I am writing some blurbs when I can (usually at nighttime) so if you have any ideas or concepts that can be written in a small amount of sentences and you want to share, feel free to do so!
"Rora, didn't I tell you to tidy the room before you went to bed?", you said as you couldn't help the way your shoulders slumped when you got to your daughter's room, ready to tuck her in bed when you found out the mess it was, toys and books on the floor, "Papa called me for dinner and we left it like this", she mumbled, seeing you weren't mad at her but upset that she hadn't done like you asked, "C'mon, let's tidy this up so you can have a good night of sleep, okay?", you prompted as you both took care of the situation.
.
You got home from work, putting your shoes away along with your coat ad you carried your bag to your home office when you heard sweet giggles coming from the living room, walking to the door to see Angie laying on the sofa in her usual spot while a Disney movie played on TV, Aurora in a fit of giggles from the tickles Mick was giving her on her tummy and under her arms, "Papa, it tickles!", she would announce every now and again before he stopped, picking her up so he could hold her on his hip when your presence was noticed, "Mama, you're back!", she yelled a bit too loudly, the headache you had unfortunately brought home even after a coffee and a painkiller not thriving with the noise, "Hello, my loves", you replied, "how was your day?", you asked before you kissed Aurora's forehead and pressed a kiss to your husband's cheek, "it was good, I played with my friends at school and I made a drawing, I'll show you, c'mon!", she urged you as her father let her feet hit the floor, her small hand grabbing yours as she guided you to her room, your husband following you two as well. To your surprise, the room was a little bit tidier than you expected, only a few toys spread around but your expression fell when you saw where she had kept the drawing she had made with paints, the coloured liquid seeping a bit through the paper and getting on the sheets of her bed, "it's beautiful, Aurora. Who are these people?", you asked, doing your best at hiding the discomfort in your head and your annoyance at how the drawing ended up there and not on the table she had for the handcrafts she enjoyed doing, "this is papa, you, because you're a bit shorter than him when you don't have your big shoes, me and Angie! It's our family", she announced and you smiled faintly, the drawing still a beautiful piece given her age and, after taking care of her sheets, you'd be keeping it safe somewhere in the house, "this is so beautiful, Rora", you said as you squeezed her to your side, your daughter higging you close too, "what do you say you and papa go have a bath now?", you said and you could see her reluctance from afar, "but why do I have to do it?", she whined, "Because it's time for you to have bath, my love, that's just how it is", you explained, "fine", she muttered as she got off the bed, her little feet trying to stomp loudly on the floor to show her point, Mick following her before he looked back for you, seeing you strip the duvet from its cover and internally cringing when he realised that, despite thinking about not leaving the drawing there, he had forgotten to day it outloud to his daughter.
After a negation at the dinner table about Aurora eating the vegetables in her plate (that you lost), you were in the bathroom getting ready for bed as you took in the accounts for the day, just wanting to lay in bed in Mick's embrace and fall asleep, wiping your mouth after you brushed your teeth and joining him in the middle of the sheets, "I know you're upset with something", he said, "And it's not the headache I know you have probably since before you got home", he hinted, making you realise you failed at hiding it, "it's just", you began as you faced him as he had his back against the headboard, "I feel like I'm the one who's the bad cop for Aurora, I'm the one telling her to eat the food on her plate, I'm the one telling her to clean up, it's like I'm pointing flaws to her that she doesn't have, my babygirl, but we can't let her keep going like this", you expressed your feelings, prompting your husband to grab your hands and lace your fingers in his, "I can do it too, although it's going to take me sometime, but I don't want it to go all on your shoulders", he said truthfully, "if we're both the ones telling her, she will come to it eventually", you reasoned as Mick nodded, "Also, why would you leave a drawing that is not dry yet on the sheets? I managed to take some of the stain off but I'm not sure I can do the rest", you chuckled, hugging his waist as you layed your head in his chest, "I can go to the laundry room when I get home after my meeting tomorrow and see what I can do about it", he said as he wrapped his arms around you, "you bet you are going to do something about it, handsome".
.
Mick was trying, you had to give him that. Everytime you said something to Aurora that she didn't feel particularly drawn to do at the moment she looked at her father for some way to avoid it, but ended up only receiving encouraging words for her to do it on her own, Mick and yourself leaving the room while he admitted it had been hard the last couple of days, "I know it's not that, but I can't help but feel like I'm leaving her on her own to do things", he admitted as you hugged his waist, "you're allowing her to be autonomous, to be independent and also to learn that she can't always have her way", you said as you kissed his clothed chest, "and you're doing very well, I'm very proud of you for doing it, I know how much it bothers you", you said as you stroked his cheek with your thumb.
.
You had finished setting the food in the table, calling for your husband and daughter (and Angie would inevitably join you since food was mentioned) so they could get to the table, "Oh, my favourite! Thanks, mama!", Aurora said as you opened the pot to take some food to your plate, Mick kissing the top of your head in a silent thank you before everyone got the food on their plates, Aurora grabbing the serving spoon to the vegetables and putting some on her plate much to yours and Mick's surprise, choosing not to mention it as you saw her eat all the food in her plate without a complaint. While you and Mick tidied up the kitchen you saw Aurora and Angie head upstairs, not hearing any noise that concerned you as you assumed they were just playing around before bedtime, "you can go upstairs and do the night routine with her, I know you two like it that way and I'll finish here", you said as you threw a towell to his hands so he could dry them. You did not expect your husband to be back so soon, hearing his footsteps when you put the broom back in its place, "so soon? Is Rora okay?", you asked, a million and one scenarios coming into your mind as to why he would be down here at that moment, "She said that she only wanted a goodnight kiss from me and from you, and that she would fall asleep on her own like a big girl", Mick said with an unreadable expression on his face, "did she now?", you said, proud of your little girl as you both headed upstairs to do so, checking with her if she wanted it that way and earning her confirmation, kissing her forehead goodnight before tucking her in and petting Angie's head.
Mick sat in the sofa looking at the blank TV screen, "you know you have to put it on for it to show something, right? Technology hasn't gone that far for you to be able to control it like that", you teased, the comment flying by him, "Aurora just told me she is a big girl now", he let out, making you join the dots of what was worrying him, "and this is all your fault by the way", he pointed, "there are no babies in this family now, no one needs me, not even for bedtime cuddles", he exasperated with a pout, and you could only laugh, "our babygirl has grown up, but she'll always be our babygirl, my love", you sat on his lap as you cupped his face with your hands, "and I've been thinking about a sibling for Aurora, I think she's ready, and we're in a good place", you forwarded what had been on your mind, "I've been thinking about it too, especially since you made me lose my bedtime cuddles' buddy", he teased you, the smirk that had caught your eye from the first time you saw making an appearance, "Is she now? Well, let's see how you do with nobody to cuddle you today then", you said as you tried to leave him, your husband managing to turn you both around so your back hit the soft sofa cushions, "No chance, schatz", he said wirh a mischievous glint in his eyes.

I can't do this anymore part 2........
(sorry it's taken so long 🫣)
Tumblr media
Y/n pov:
You had been driving around for a couple of hours. Not going in any particular direction. Once you left your home that you shared with Jensen, you weren't sure where to go.
Your mind was swirling with so many thoughts, you needed them to stop. You hadn't realised you had turned into the parking lot of the bar where you met Jensen the night of your birthday. You parked your car and turned off your engine. Reaching into your pocket you pulled out the photo of you both. it was one from the night you met him, Jared had taken it with out you or Jensen knowing. You both looked so happy, it made you sad and the tears began to flow, you remembered that night as if it happened yesterday.....
2 years ago :
"i really don't want to go out Becca, I'm happy staying in and having movie night" you shout from your bedroom as you're being forced to go out and celebrate your birthday. "Oh come on y/n, we haven't been out in ages, and you only turn 40 once" Becca shouts from your living room where she was waiting for you. You really weren't in the mood for going out. You had just been dumped by your boyfriend of 4 years, finding out he'd been seeing someone else. You thought he was going to propose but no, for the last year and half he'd been sleeping with his secretary 'what a cliche' you thought to yourself.
After applying a small amount of make up, keeping your hair loose and cascading down your shoulders, throwing on a simple knee length green dress with a pair of flats, if you're being forced out you may as well be comfortable! You entered your living room giving Becca a small twirl "will this do your majesty" Becca laughed "you look gorgeous y/n, the men will be all over you" you snorted at that comment "no way, I'm not looking for anything, not yet" you grabbed your purse and headed out.
Arriving at the bar Becca had chosen, you saw a small booth decorated with banners and a few of your friends sitting waiting for you. You glared at Becca "what would you have done if I hadn't come with you" "well, y/n I would've got you here one way or another". You hugged your best friend and walked over to say hi to your friends.
Although you didn't want to admit it you were having a pretty good time. You heard the bell on the door ring. In walked two very tall and handsome men. You turned to Becca and grabbed her arm "Bec, am I seeing things or did Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles just walk in here" you couldn't take your eyes off them as Becca turned to look. She turned back to you with wide eyes " she was now squeezing your arm as hard as you squeezed hers. You both couldn't stop staring but soon averted your gaze when you caught Jensen's eyes. Those perfect green orbs, the ones you see in your dreams were looking at you. You smiled at him shyly and turned back to your friends.
About half an hour later Jared had made his way over to your table introducing himself and asking if he and Jensen could join you. You scolded yourself internally for acting like a babbling idiot but they still joined your little party. You were nervous as Jensen scooted in by you after Jared took the chair by Becca. You saw the look Jared gave Jensen with a little smirk 'Seriously he can't be trying to hook us up' you thought to yourself.
You didn't want to get your hopes up, I mean this is Jensen Ackles why would he be attracted to someone like you. You're just a normal person with a normal 9 to 5 job average body and average looks. They told you all about filming supernatural and the pranks they'd pull on each other. You were captivated with the way Jensen would tell you the stories. Jared noticed how he would only look at you when he spoke. He took his phone out making it look like he was texting but he took a sly photo of you mid laugh with your hand on Jensen's shoulder and Jensen looking straight at you with the biggest smile on his face.
As much as you didn't want to leave you remembered you had work the next morning so had to call it a night, it was only just after midnight but still you had an early start, so you said your goodbyes to everyone and went outside to wait for your Uber. You saw Jared and Jensen leaving the bar, Jensen walking over to you "we can give you a lift, if that's ok with you?" You could hear the doubt in his voice, was he nervous you thought to yourself. You told him that you had an Uber booked, when you saw him frown you told him you'd cancel it and accepted the lift off him and Jared.
You never imagined that your night would end like this, THE Jensen Ackles walking you to your door. You fumbled around for keys unsure of how to end the night. Should you kiss him, would he think you're being too forward. You both stood there not sure what to do. So you thanked him for a great night, he answered you calling you sweetheart something you'd always dreamt about. That gave you the courage to leave a kiss on his cheek. You felt his hands rest on your waist as your face aligned with his. Jensen cupped your face and lent in as did you, lips connecting with a gentle soft kiss. He broke away when he heard the honking on the horn coming from the SUV. He asked to see you again, so you put your number in his phone and told him that depended entirely on him. He kissed you once more before making his way back to the car. The very next day, you were extremely happy to get a call from him asking you out.
Present day.......
Your phone kept ringing in your pocket, you knew it was him. You knew he'd be home now and would have found your note. You loved Jensen so much, but the past couple of months you didn't feel as if you were good enough, skinny enough or pretty enough for him. You saw the photos on his socials of his very attractive co stars, you couldn't compete with that. It made you wonder what he was doing with someone like you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sure he invited you to the parties, and always tried to get you to visit the sets of the shows he was working on, but you would always make excuses to not go. You didn't want to embarrass him.
You felt he could do better, so you decided to leave him, it broke your heart but he could then find someone more worthy of his love.
At this point your phone had not stopped ringing. You took it out of your pocket and noticed you had several missed calls. Most of them off Jensen but also a few off Jared and Gen and a couple off Misha too. You saw all the messages coming through from Jensen :
J❤️: y/n sweetheart I'm not sure what is happening right now, all I want to know is that you're safe, please baby, I need to know your alright, where are you? xx
J❤️: just let me know you're okay baby please, I'm losing my mind with worry y/n please answer me xx
J❤️: y/n, one little txt, just so I know your okay please darlin xx
J❤️: I can't lose you y/n, please tell me where you are, I don't wanna lose you! I love you xx
J❤️: Baby please, please talk to me, I can't do any of this without you, please darlin. I just can't do any of it without you. Y/n answer your phone sweetheart xx
You let out a deep sigh, you knew you had to talk to him, you owed him that much. He was the sweetest, most loving man you had been in a relationship with. Guilt was setting in now, so you pulled up your contacts and hovered over his name. With a deep breath you hit the call button.
Ahhhhh gonna leave it there. So yeah seems like there will be a part 3 😂 hope you enjoyed this part 🥰

An Orb In The Way
It had been a hard fight, but it was finally over, the grove was safe and much to Tav's delight it was time to relax, have a drink and forget the impending doom their party had been feeling for the past week. It's not every day you're thrust into a mission, save the world and everyone in it to ensure the continued survival of the entire world, was a pretty big burden to be forced to carry.
Their party, although exhausted was ready to celebrate their victory over the Goblin Camp, it had been a tedious and hard fight clearing out the entire camp but with the help of the Archdruid they'd come to know as Halsin, they had managed to save the grove from destruction and stop Kaugha's Rite of Thorns from sealing the grove off from the rest of Faerun. Of course, their journey was far from over, but this brief respite was welcomed by the party, and Tav found herself in camp. Surrounded by fellow Tieflings, the party in full swing around her as people celebrated their continued survival.
Making the rounds, talking to her fellow exhausted but celebrating party members, she began with Shadowheart found at her tent sipping on what appeared to be a goblet of wine. "Enjoying the festivities?" Shadowheart asked over the rim of her goblet, she seemed a bit on edge with the sheer amount of people who we're celebrating around the camp, of course she was used to her life of seclusion as a servant of Shar but Tav seemed to notice the slight happiness to her expression, she was enjoying the company of others even if she would staunchly deny it, "Just making the rounds, wanted to check in with everyone before I finally let loose a little." Tav responded, taking a seat at Shadowheart's stool, allowing herself a moment to actually sit down for the first time that day, she didn't realise how heavy her limbs felt till she finally felt a bit of rest. Noticing her leaders fatigue she passed her goblet to the tired Tiefling which she accepted gladly with a sigh before sipping lightly on the rather bitter wine, she must have made a face at the taste judging by Shadowheart's quiet laugh. Handing back the goblet Tav rose to her feet, much to her bones and muscles protest, but she had more than Shadowheart to speak to.
Giving Shadowheart a smile and quick wave she made her way to the rest of the group, noticing that a good chunk of the team was actually drinking together, it was nice to see the small group getting along, even if they had been thrust together with very little concern for some clashing personalities. Looking around, noticing a certain wizard trying his best to keep up with Karlach and La'zel discussing their preferred choice of weapon was a sight to see. They had only known each other a short while but watching the wizard's awkward smile and nodding along as he pretended to understand the different advantages great axes and battle-axes had, considering to him they are pretty much the same thing just that battle-axes are a little smaller. It was rather endearing, someone Tav never thought to even consider, herself a brutish barbarian who very much swung first and talked after, compared to the composed and educated wizard, Gale.
Feeling eyes on her, of course she had been caught staring and of course it had to be Astarion. Looking over at the pale elf, he didn't even have to say a word his smirk speaking for itself, well she'd been found out might as well admit it, even if it had to be to the one person who would absolutely rip the piss out of her. Making her way over to the smug elf with what was definitely an embarrassed look, "Something caught your eye?" said with such smugness it almost made Tav want to slap the expression right off his face, but she was learning to think before acting seemingly getting her further into places and having better outcomes, so she played into Astarion's teasing, "Why? Feeling a little jealous?" she almost laughed at the quick change in his expression. How the tables could quickly turn, but as quickly as his embarrassment came his features were stilled and the facade was back, "Jealous? Of you pining after that wizard? Come on darling you have better standards than that surely?" hiding his face behind his goblet as he drank, almost ready to spit the sour liquid back out, without giving her time to respond to his rather rude assessment of Gale, "Gods this wine is disgusting, you would think that we deserve something better for saving these people’s lives." it wasn't so much as a request more a demand, shaking her head at his rudeness, "Expecting greatness for simply helping people? Not sure you're quite deserving of the hero title, are you?" Tav jested, maybe she could get under his skin the way he does with everyone else, give him a taste of his own medicine.
But of course no luck, seemingly nothing could make the man squirm but this conversation was quickly becoming one that Tav didn't exactly have the energy for, giving the man a short smile and a short farewell she were off, looking around the camp for anyone to have a much more pleasant conversation with.
Of course, everyone was deep in either their own conversations or drinks, a head to the clear sky and the heaviness of her limbs led Tav down to the small bank at the edges of the camp, not entirely silent but still quieter than the full swing of the party happening behind her. Looking out to the water she lowered her tired limbs down to sit just at the cusp of the small tide of the bank, gazing out to the wilderness ahead, peaceful. Lost in her own thoughts, reviewing all that had happened, what was to come ahead, the choices they may be faced with...
So lost in thought she failed to notice that someone had joined her in her seat at the bank, "Did you know that a great axe is great for landing devastating blows to your enemies, but a battleaxe is better for wielding alongside a shield for added defence." came that honeyed voice, a slight laughter escaped Tav at the seemingly genuine interest Gale showed to the different advantages to the different weapons, gazing to her side there he sat with his eyes glowing like a child who'd just learned such important information. Regardless the topic it seemed he was always willing to listen and learn something new, it was endearing. A soft smile thrown his way as he blushed at the attention, "Sorry, I couldn't help but notice you straying away I thought to come check on you, you've made sure we're all alright but it seems no one's thought to ask how you're faring." he looked at her expectantly, willing to be an ear to listen, to rant at, looking at him it felt all too easy to just tell him everything, all of her problems, everything bothering her little or large.
With a sigh and a soft smile she simply looked back out to the water, gazing intensely at seemingly nothing in particular, his gaze followed her own out to the soft flow of the water looking to try find what she was staring so intently at, finding nothing he seemed to realise. A moment of peace, of respite is all she needed, maybe without him, he began to try to stand but a soft hand on his leg stopped him in his tracks, looking towards her again, her gaze still out towards the water, a silent plea, "Stay." it was simple, an easy instruction for him to follow.
His hand over her’s he resumed his seated position, tracing small patterns over her hand that rested on his leg. He'd be lying if he didn't feel the warm burn of blush on his face, isolation had done a number of his tolerance of physical intimacy but in this moment, this moment of peace he couldn't bring himself to care much about the blushing reaction to simple hand holding because it was Tav's hand he was holding, it was Tav's hand.
Sensing a slight shift in his demeanour Tav tried to pull her hand away from the wizard, mistaking his silence as rejection readying herself to pull away completely, if he didn't feel the same way she could simply shut off, it wouldn't be too hard, would it? But the quick snatch of her hand told her otherwise, a glace towards the wizard revealed his reddened face, simple hand holding had reduced this educated and put together wizard to a blushing mush, she could only describe it as cute, "You look like you're about to start running a fever." Tav teased, giggling as the wizards face deepened a shade if that was even possible, his other hand reached out to cover his face, desperate to hide his face in worry that Tav would find him to be childish, blushing at her simply touching his hand, it was embarrassing, horrifying he wanted the ground to swallow him whole but as Tav's hand reached out to block his attempts at hiding he found himself unable to cover his feelings any longer, "I'm sorry I'm usually much better at discussing my feelings but I seem to forget myself around you." even in explaining his embarrassment his words sounded like utter poetry, enough to make Tav swoon.
Gazing into his eyes could have revealed all, dark brown orbs looking back at her like she hung the very stars in the sky, a soft hand reaching up to her face seemingly to wipe a speck of whatever was bothering him from her face, she could get lost in his eyes for however long he would let her, but his glace down towards her lips gave way to a much more appealing idea. Smiling softly, leaning in, eyes drifting closed their lips met in a soft kiss. Tav didn't believe people when they said that when you kissed 'the one' that it felt like fireworks, until now. It felt like a whole crate of smoke-powder bombs had exploded the minute their lips met, it was soft, sweet and almost better than any drink that had ever graced her lips, quickly escalating to hands grabbing clothes and clutching onto his robes for dear life. Teeth clashing, tongues mixing desperate to taste each other like horny teenagers sneaking behind their parents backs it felt rebellious.
But a soft hand pushing against her chest gave them pause. Pulling away to gasp for air, taking note of their new position finding her legs wrapped around his waist planted firmly on his lap as he gripped her hips with the strength of a man holding himself back, hooded eyes as he drunk in her state, breathless and ready for more that he couldn't give, not just yet, "Sorry, I don't trust myself, with this unstable orb willing to see me ended I don't think it smart getting it too... um, excited?" it seemed almost like a question, one that he himself wasn't sure of the answer to. A soft chuckle escaped Tav, of course she couldn't risk Gale letting off an explosion all for the sake of a lay, disappointed but understanding of their situation, grasping his face between both hands she gave him a quick peck, pulling away as he chased, almost as if he himself was fighting the urge explosion be damned, he wanted her but alas the rational part of his brain won the fight, pushed down for a later date hopefully.
Rising to their feet together, gazing at each other glad of the admittance of feelings, the sharing of a moment together albeit not quite what they both yearned for, but a moment, nonetheless. Strolling back to camp with linked fingers and an obvious glow surrounding them both, it almost made Astarion sick to look upon
Thank you so much for reading my first cross posted Gale fanfiction, I've been posting all my writings over on AO3 as well if you want to have a nosey over there at my other writings, if not worry not I will be posting the rest of my fanfictions over here as well!

“What the-”
Kan jumped as she reached the bottom of the stairs and looked at the droid that was sat lazily at the kitchen table. She then realised it was not a droid at all.
“Echo, you scared me” She laughed slightly, and Echo flipped up the mask of his disguise.
“Pretty convincing right?”
“Yeah, maybe if you weren't sat like a man” She smirked at his distinctly human posture and he chuckled. “I've gotta say, when you said you had a disguise this is not what I was expecting”
“Well maybe that bodes well for my disguise then” He smirked a little, “Are you ready to go?”
“Yep” Kan smiled, grabbing her bag, “Let's get going”
Kan and Echo ventured into town, having heard there was a market in the square today. They were yet to really meet anyone here, and Echo had decided it was easier for him to walk around as a ‘droid’, going unnoticed, instead of trying to explain to people why he was more machine than man, as he often put it.
The square was bursting with life. It was wonderfully decorated with banners and plants, and the large fountain in the middle served as a place of rest for parents and a play area for their kids. There were vendors selling an assortment of things, from food to spare parts and clothes, and it was positively a melting pot of people from all over the galaxy. There was not one presiding race, and Kan was thankful, her olive green Mirialan skin not making her stand out for once.
Despite the cheerful cast of characters in the square, it was lined by men in white plastoid armour, the only ones who managed to stand out in this environment. Stormtroopers.
“You should get talking to some people” Echo said quietly, his voice modulated by his mask. Kan almost didn't realise it was him talking to her.
“Yeah alright, give me a minute” Kan looked around, a little overwhelmed by the sheer amount of things going on. She figured she'd start at a food vendor, somewhere they could actually do with visiting.
“Hello there ma'am, how are you today?” The Weequay vendor smiled warmly.
“I'm well, how are you?” Kan replied.
Echo couldn't refrain from rolling his eyes as Kan got into a conversation with the vendor that could not be described as short. She asked about her life, how she had ended up on this planet and about her family. Though it was sweet how much she truly cared about other people and wanted to connect with them, this really wasn't the time for it.
As they walked away from the stand with a paper bag full of vegetables, Kan got distracted by another stand selling food, and Echo grabbed her arm subtlely to stop her.
“We’re not just here to chat and buy food, start talking to some of the locals” He said quietly.
Kan huffed, “Alright, fine”
“I'm gonna take a walk around, see what I can hear” Echo said, walking off to her right before she got the chance to reply.
Kan looked around the square, and decided to just take the plunge. She approached a friendly looking Zabrak woman who was sat by herself at the fountain, smiling at the children playing in the water.
“Excuse me, I'm sorry to disturb you” Kan began, and the woman looked to her with an openness that made her continue, “I'm new to town, could you possibly tell me a little bit about what goes on around here?”
“Of course” She smiled, and patted the place next to her.
Kan took the seat, and they fell into conversation about the customs of the town, market on every second and fourth day of the week, and a communal celebration every few weeks on the fifth day, which included mostly food stands and dancing, among other festivities. The Zabrak, who had since introduced herself as Rhidi, told her about the mayor, pointing them out amongst the crowd of small children that they were playing with.
“It's lovely here, the community seems to be really thriving” Kan said, looking back to Rhidi to see her hesitancy before speaking.
“It is, I must admit it has been different lately” She said, a twinge of indignance in her tone.
“How so?” Kan asked, feigning innocence.
“There's just… a lot more of an imperial presence here nowadays” She began, trying to gauge Kan's opinion on the matter, “Which is fine! of course, it's just… different”
“Oh right…” Kan said, looking around at the stormtroopers patrolling the square, “When did they get here?”
“Around two standard months ago, there was suddenly double the troops, then triple, it happened so quickly” Rhidi said, keeping her voice hushed.
“Something important must be going on then” Kan prompted her.
“They've set up some kind of base for experimentation, technological I think, but that's all I know about it” She said, then sat up straighter, “But anyway, that's pretty much there is to know around here”
Kan understood and followed suit, “Thank you so much Rhidi, it was a pleasure to meet you”
“And you…”
“Oh! I'm uh- Ech-a” Kan immediately cursed her stupid mouth for speaking before she could think properly about what she was saying. “Short for Gekavi” She tried to salvage her blunder with the reasonably common Mirialan name.
“Well, I hope to see around again Eka” Rhidi said with a smile, standing up and brushing off her skirt as Kan cringed at the use of the name.
“Me too” She managed to smile before Rhidi walked away.
Kan stood and looked around the square for someone who seemed like they might know something more about the imperial presence here. That's when she noticed a man in an imperial officer's clothing watching her, a subtle smirk on his lips. She tore her eyes away and made her way around the outside of the square, and then back towards the man, bumping into him with her shoulder a little too harshly.
“Oh! I'm so sorry, forgive me” She looked up at him with widened eyes and all the innocence she could.
“It's no worry miss” He smiled at her warmly, readjusting his uniform, “You're new around here aren't you?”
“Oh dear, is it that obvious?” She said, her hand on her cheek out of fake embarrassment.
The officer chuckled, “I just don't remember seeing you before”
“Ah well, I've just moved in. I'm Gekavi” She doubled down on the name while holding out her hand and he took it in a soft grasp.
“Captain Levy” He gave his own name. He was truthfully quite a handsome man, dark curly hair that fell over his forehead neatly, dark blue eyes, and a pleasant smile.
“Captain huh? That's impressive” Kan smiled up at him disarmingly.
“Should be Commander soon” The Captain smirked at her a little, and Kan could tell he was all too happy to show off to her. This is too easy.
“Woah, how come?” She asked innocently, a small smile quirking the corner of her mouth.
“Cant tell you that I’m afraid Miss, top secret” He said with a little wink.
“Aw, that’s too bad”
Echo looked around the square from the corner, trying to keep his appearance distinctly droid-like. He finally found Kan, but his breath caught as he saw her fluttering her eyelashes up at a man - an Imperial officer - and touching his arm gently. He couldn't help the feeling of jealousy and borderline anger that bubbled up in his gut, and he made his way towards them slowly.
Kan caught the sight of Echo over Captain Levy's shoulder and felt the need to wrap up the conversation.
“Well I should be getting home, it was nice to meet you Captain, almost Commander” She smirked up at him.
“It’s Drass, but it was nice to meet you too Gekavi” He replied with a charming smile, and Kan waved goodbye before she heard him calling out to her again, “Will you be attending the festivities tomorrow?”
“I'm not sure, I still have a lot of settling in to be doing” She replied a little nervously to invite him to try and convince her.
“Well, I hope to see you there nonetheless” He smiled.
She batted her eyelashes at him for a moment, chewing on her lip, “I'll think about it”. She smiled at him and then left, noting him watching her walk away. Echo came to walk beside her as she rounded the corner to their dwelling, and she jumped a little at his sudden presence.
“That was great” She grinned at him, and his heart sunk just a little.
“It was?” He looked at her, jaw grinding when she nodded, “We're not here to just flirt with Imperials you know”
“I wasn't really flirting” Kan screwed up her face at the accusation, placing down the grocery bag on the kitchen table, “But that man is one compliment away from spilling everything. I think we should go to these ‘festivities’ tomorrow”
“So you can flirt with this man some more?” Echo asked, and Kan looked at him with disbelief and apprehension to his strange line of questioning.
“Fake flirting, there's nothing attractive about being with the empire” She pointed out, “I think he's a good first try in any case, and if we go to this thing tomorrow we might find other opportunities”
Echo conceded with a grunt, “Okay, if you say so”
Kan frowned as Echo walked into his room and shut the door. She was getting a little tired of the way he would suddenly act different around her, and she couldn't help but feel that she had done something wrong, once again. She didn't like the way his mood affected her own thoughts, and didn’t understand why she would let it happen. Had it not been the right thing to do to get the attention of an Imperial Captain? Or soon to be Commander, if he was to be believed - that seemed like a good connection to have made.
Tumblr media
“Echo, are you coming this thing tonight?” Kan asked from outside his bedroom door.
Echo had taken to staying in his room any time that he wasn't eating or out walking around town and listening in on conversations. That was the way he had found out where their main base of operations was earlier on in the day.
He opened the door, the crease in his brow softening as he looked down at Kan. She wore a short white sleeveless dress, a red waistcoat with the top button done up, and a pair of brown leather boots. Her collarbones were adorned by a small golden necklace, and her hair tied into two pigtails with white ribbons. She looked positively breath taking, and Echo's breath had certainly been taken.
“Uh- I, um- I might stay here” He stuttered out, rubbing his neck as he looked away from her.
“Oh, okay” She said, her shoulders slumping a little.
He noted her deflated tone, “Did you want me to come?”
“I mean… yes. I'm a little nervous about talking to this officer again… and people in general really. It might just be reassuring if you were there, I don't know” She spoke, looking down at her feet, “It's okay if you don't wa-”
“No, I'll come” He replied quickly, “Let me just get changed quickly”
“Okay” Kan smiled as he closed the door, and she sat down at the kitchen table waiting for him. Within a few minutes, the door opened again and Echo stepped out in his droid disguise. Kan desperately wanted to ask him why he had chosen to disguise himself as a droid for this mission, but she decided that another time would be better.
The pair left their dwelling, into the darkness of the night, and made their way to the park just around the corner, where the event was taking place. Echo noted the way that Kan's hands tightened into fists as she looked around the festivities nervously.
“Do you want me to stay with you?” He asked quietly.
“No, I mean- maybe stay close by, but you don't need to be right here if you don't want to. I- I'll be fine, uh- being by myself, um, if you're nearby” She replied, her brain scattered by the amount of people around.
“Hey” Echo said, pulling her around the corner and out of the view of everyone else. He flipped up his mask to talk to her, “If you're uncomfortable, we can go back, you're under no obligation to get information this way”
Kan looked up into his eyes as he leaned his hand on the wall next to her. She found them entirely captivating, a soft brown colour that was different from any of the other clones she had encountered. The intensity of his gaze calmed her from her previous worries, but his proximity had her heart racing.
“No, it's okay. I just- crowds can be a little much for me, but it's fine”
“Are you sure?” He asked, his eyes narrowing.
“Yes, It'll be fine” She assured him. and he stepped back, flipping his mask down.
“Okay, let's do it” He said, gesturing for her to re-join the celebration.
Feeling emboldened by his actions, and having a need to feel safe, Kan grabbed ahold of Echo's hand, and pulled him gently through the crowd.
Echo felt as if his body had been set alight by the simple touch, and he knew that his cheeks must be bright red under his mask. His knees felt weak just from such a small gesture, but he kept his form rigid, continuing his droid-like appearance. He looked down at their hands and smiled to himself. Kan's hand was so different from his own. It was smaller, with slender fingers, but that made it fit so perfectly into his.
As they emerged from the crowd, they noticed that they were at the edge of a dance floor. Couples danced around giddily, some old, some young. With Echo's hand grounding her in the uncomfortable situation, Kan looked around and truly appreciated the beauty of the moment.
Echo felt Kan slip her fingers between his, and he looked over to her to see her looking around the festival with a smile on her face. His heart lurched at the sight. The orange glow of the warm lights scattered around the park lit her face so perfectly, bringing out each curve and dimple there was to see. For the first time, he noticed a thin scar that ran along the back of her jaw, stretching towards her ear. The urge to reach out and trace his finger along it almost overtook him, but his thoughts were interrupted as someone approached them and Kan took her hand from his.
“Eka! It's good to see you” Rhidi approached Kan with a wide smile, who in turn cringed at the fake name.
“Rhidi, you too” She smiled politely.
“I'm just on the way to find my wife, but I'll see you later!” She waved as she made her way past them, and Kan waved back, though Rhidi wouldn't have seen it.
“Eka huh?” Echo said tauntingly from beside her and Kan rolled her eyes, “Sounds awfully like someone I know…”
“Ugh, I panicked okay?” She looked at the clone, “From now on, if anyone asks my name is Gek-”
“Gekavi! You came”
Kan turned and her eyes landed on Captain Levy, making his way towards her with a wide grin. She plastered a similar expression on her own face as she greeted him.
“Captain Levy, how lovely to see you”
“Please, just Drass is fine” He insisted, “And I must say, you look absolutely gorgeous tonight”
“Oh, thank you Drass” Kan replied shyly, “You look pretty handsome yourself”
Echo felt like throwing up.
“Thank you my dear” Drass held out his hand, “May I have this dance?”
“Oh” Kan said, genuinely surprised, and hooked her pinky finger with Echo's for a moment. The Captain had not acknowledged him at all, and still didn't as he slipped the rest of his fingers into Kan's and gave her hand a firm squeeze - a quick reminder that she didn't have to do this.
“Okay then” She said, and took his hand with her free one. She looked back to Echo as she did, her hand lingering in his as she let herself be dragged away by the other man.
Echo hated the sight of it with a burning passion. His hand dropping from hers and her walking away with another man. His infatuation with Kan was admittedly rather new, but the sight in front of him just felt wrong, and his jaw tightened with indignance. He watched as the man, perfect in all ways as far as Echo could understand, swept Kan off her feet figuratively, and then literally, as the dance called for it. He tried to reassure himself that Kan was just pretending, but either she was a really good actor, or she was genuinely enjoying herself.
Self-conscious thoughts crept into Echo's mind from the dark corners of his brain, clawing their way out from hiding. I could never dance with her like that. Even if she wanted to, I don't have a hand to offer her. She looks much happier with this man, and he's an imperial of all people. And the worst thought of them all, she would never want someone like me.
Echo's breathing became shallow and he struggled to keep his rigid exterior. Kan danced with Captain Levy for a few songs, and Echo just tried to focus on the music, the band playing instruments he had never seen before. If he wasn't so distracted he'd be interested in finding out what they were. It seemed that the pair were talking about something in depth, swapping thoughts on a subject.
Then, it was time for a slow number. Kan looked hesitant, but the Captain seemingly convinced her, and they took up a more intimate position, swaying to the music together. They appeared to still be conversing a lot as they did so, Kan asking lots of questions, as was her inquisitive nature.
Echo was so vividly jealous that he started feeling dizzy.
Luckily, the song ended, and Kan said goodbye to the Captain and made her way back over to Echo. She grabbed his hand and said firmly, “We're leaving”
The feel of Kan's hand in his once more dissipated the rage that his jealousy had caused. She gripped him tightly as she wove her way through the crowd and out the other side. She didn’t relent in her grip until they were back in their dwelling, and she was pacing back and forth.
“What happened? It looked like you were enjoying yourself” Echo noted, and Kan whirled on him, pointing a finger to his chest.
“I was not. That man is nothing if not vile. He-” She said angrily, and Echo was taken aback. He had never seen her be angry at all, let alone so fiercely like this.
“He what?”
“He was- It doesn't matter” She shook her head, “He let slip the nature of what's going on here, among other things”
“Oh wow, you work fast” Echo tried to ease the tension with a small joke, and she did chuckle a little before her face fell.
“It's some kind of weapon, something that can be fitted to one-man fighters, or used on the ground. He didn't say exactly what it did, but he definitely used the word ‘destruction’ more than once” She spoke solemnly.
“Oh kriff” Was all Echo could say.
“Yeah” Kan sighed, and slumped into a kitchen chair. She pulled her knees to her chest as she often did.
“Why didn't you enjoy yourself? What did he do?” Echo asked, taking a step towards her.
“He-” She huffed, “He was just saying some really nasty stuff” She looked away from him, and Echo knelt on the floor in front of her.
“About you?”
“No, about… clones” She admitted.
Echo sighed, “Well, that's to be expected maybe, he is an imper-”
“That's not the point. The clones- you're a person Echo, and people just talk about you like you're a piece of dirt on their shoe. It's disgusting that people can be so cruel”
Echo found his heart melting at Kan's words for the millionth time. Her anger on his behalf was admirable.
“It’s okay Kan, that's just how it is”
“Well it shouldn’t be” She pouted, crossing her arms over her knees. Echo couldn’t help but smirk at her childlike actions as he stood again. “You're laughing at me”
“I'm not laughing” Echo smiled wider, a small laugh escaping.
“Yeah yeah, and I'm the queen of Naboo” Kan rolled her eyes and stood from her seat, making her way towards the stairs.
“Kan” Echo called after her, and she turned to look at him. He hesitated a little before he spoke, “Look, that man may have been an idiot in the end, but… he was right, you look really nice”
Kan smiled broadly at the compliment, her cheeks darkening, “Thanks Echo”
He just smiled at her, “No problem, I'll see you tomorrow” He walked over to the door to his room and disappeared inside.
Kan stayed stood at the bottom of the stairs for a moment longer, her blush only growing deeper. Though she would not admit it, she truly had Echo in mind when she dressed herself for the night's festivities, and despite the devastating news of this weapon the imperials were building, she felt elated that he had acknowledged her appearance, and even complimented it. Maybe I'm getting somewhere with him…

it wasn’t a secret that you liked arthur far from one. if anything you had gushed over him a countless amount of times. you’re honestly surprised that they haven’t told you to shut up more times by now.
sitting by abigail swinging your legs back and forth whilst you sat on the chair beside her as she hung up the washing out to dry, humming and harring as she kept an eye on jack as she does so.
you and abigail giggled over how handsome he looked from afar as you drank late into the night, the two of you getting told off by dutch which only made you giggle more.
as tilly taught you how to fish and you’d get lost in a love struck gaze not realising a fish was yanking on the end of the line well not of course until she started yelling at you snapping you back into reality.
everyone in the camp had someone. how abigail used to have john, karen and sean grew closer with time, her being distraught when she had found out the bad news and how tilly had dibs on lenny.
you felt so alone most days, but the thought of arthur pushed you through as you watched as the other couples snuggled up together.
you’d often try and make little useful trinkets, sure to either stitch or carve a star into whatever it was. feeling overjoyed when you see him using whatever it was whilst he was inside camp.
you hinted your very big crush to him like how you'd pushed yourself up against him slightly as you shifted to get to a different spot across from him by the campfire since all the other spaces were coincidentally taken.
you even tried to make it completely obvious by stealing his hat and running off with it, arthur chasing close behind you — playfully tackling you to the ground and tickling you until you couldn't breathe.
it wasn’t necessary for him to chase you since you would’ve given it back soon enough anyways but you didn’t mind as long as he was close.
then one day he just up and left.
day after day you got more worried, asking dutch for any updates. of course there was nothing.
he didn’t even say goodbye.
you were sat by the lake when the sound of horse hooves thudded against the grass in the near distance. they grew closer and closer, rapidly trying to blink away the tears that sat along your waterline.
the sound of cheers and celebrations close by confirmed that they were back and sean was safe. you let out a deep sigh of relief.
your hands gripping onto the tree stump that sat underneath you, if not for that it’d be the palms of your hands that'd face the abuse, already having done that enough for it to leave fresh purple bruises behind.
a gust of wind blew your hair in front of you, shuffling to fix it not hearing footsteps stop beside you.
“hope you didn’t miss m’too much whilst i was gon’” it was him.
that was all it took to set you off. whipping your head in his direction.
the fucking audacity this man had.
standing then marching over to arthur, him straightening out his stance not expecting this sort of outburst from you.
“you bastard!” the tears that once flooded your vision now came back to haunt you, leaving a lump in your throat as you stood in front of the tall brunette, shoving your index finger into his chest with every word that you spoke.
“you left us! y-you left me…”
your pokes soon became small shoves to your hands weakly beating on his chest. he stood there and took it. his arms hovering over your figure as if he didn't then you would fall.
your sobs became stronger as did your yells.
it caught the rest of the others attention.
“how could you just up and leave like that? even before the other boys went off to f-find sean.”
you swallowed harshly, wiping some of the tears that had fallen trying to get ahold of yourself, “how could you leave me?”.
arthur was still silent, arms now down by his sides — his head tilted down but not too low so you could still see his lips turn into a small smirk.
“wh— you think this is funny?” your hands going to shove him again, his strong hands wrapped around your own, pulling you ever so close to him.
“‘re ya done yet?” your body went stiff as you realised your predicament. your body tightly pressed against his, his breath gently fanning across your face, his lips so close to yours.
his grip was still no longer on your hands but wrapping his arms around you, securing you in his hold.
“jus’ kiss already!” sean yelled from afar, you both slowly turned towards where the voice came from seeing the whole group gathered around, nodding their heads giving you both thumbs up encouraging you both.
“let’s give what the people want.” as you were turning back to question him, his lips caught your own in a loving kiss, his hands pushing your lower back into his torso deepening the kiss.
only to be met with loud cheers and whistles off the side, karen and tilly definitely shouting the loudest — making you smile into the kiss happily.
at last!

Let me just say that your writing is absolutely immaculate and it should be praised 24/7. You're amazing!!! The way you've managed to write the characters to the point where I'm like "damn this could be canon" and it makes everything so much more easier to picture too.
I honestly feel so sorry for her (the reader) especially when she achieved something so great, in record time, and was at an all time high only for her to be hit by a wave of reality when she realised she was all alone and no one was there to see her do it. It was very realistic, I'm sure many of us have experienced that feeling before, of doing something we finally deem as amazing only to have no one there to celebrate such an achievement and it really had me hurting for her 😭.
Now let's talk about how she did not want her father to see her injury, not because she didn't want to worry him but because she didn't want him to get angry at her which is so telling of how jake has been treating her 😢 honestly her bleeding out in front of him is the cruel punch in the face that Jake 🖕🏻🤠🖕🏻 deserves. The fact that she thought he was mad when he told her to be quiet but really it would've been to just save her energy so she could stay awake and that being the last thing she heard???? yeah im crying from the pain!
I absolutely love her relationship with her mum, it's so heartwarming to think about but also so harsh on Neytiri, not only was her child dying out in her arms but she missed out on a rite of passage the whole family should've been there for. Considering we know Neytiri is very traditional that must hurt really bad to have missed out on such a big ceremony. (AND I JUST READ YOUR RECENT POST HER SPREADING THE BLOOD LIKE THE PAINT IS SO MORBID I LOVE IT)
Now the relationships between the siblings....honestly i have mixed feelings but it's like good mixed feelings ✌🏽😭 neteyam is a sweetheart and it makes so much sense that they understand one another, being the oldest. The way he panicked when he couldn't find his sister 😔 there's so much pressure on him too and it just feels good knowing they have each other. I'm honestly really interested in the relationship between the siblings, especially lo'ak and the reader. Because they are literally the same, other than the fact that lo'ak knows when to go quiet 😶‍🌫️ you'd think they'd bond over that but instead he was just taking the piss out of her and excited for whatever punishment was heading her way. And she did get punished to the point where she's dying. Idk I'm just so interested in the sibling dynamics, I think you did mention a few times that she usually cuts in whenever her siblings are getting scolded at (probably lo'ak lmao) which is so sweet to think about. How she doesn't want her siblings going through what she has to. The difference in treatment especially for her, compared to Kiri and Tuk, I'd be seething 🥊🤡 because that is so shady. Even if she had a small amount of resentment towards them I honestly couldn't fault her because you can't help it when you see that difference.
Honestly I love this family that you've built. And I'm so interested in seeing how/if this conflict will resolve. Please don't let it be resolved within a paragraph 😧 the daddy issues are too strong to be resolved with something simple.
IM AWAITING THE EVENTUAL "I SEE YOU" THATS GONNA HURT IK IT BUT ITS WHAT SHE DESERVES!!!! Imagine him being like "I see you, sweetheart" (cue my immediate sobs)
Also I am so sorry idk how this went on for so long but like whewww sorry if this got boring. Thank you for this amazing fic!!! I can't wait for pt.4!!
- Nini ✌🏽🤡
NINIIIII WELCOME BACK!!! THE LENGTH OF THIS ASK YUHHH 😭😭🥺
So you think the characters are close to canon? you can picture them actually acting this way? I have passed the trial of "my blorbo would never say this [clicks out of page]" ?
Tumblr media
thank you..... thank you.............. never a bigger compliment than that.... ah.....
AND I GET BROWNIE POINTS FOR THE IKNIMAYA SCENE BEING REALISTIC? Damn ur spoiling me today!!!! It's such a heart-sinking sensation, really. to be alone in a moment you've looked so forward to all your life, expecting the pride of your family and finally having your moment - but in the end you're on your own, and you've chosen it to be that way because you want to prove yourself & are trying to achieve that high you've always imagined knowing it won't be like that. Idk i have a lot of feelings about that 🤸🏻‍♀️🕳
AND YEAH!!!!! Jake totally told her to be quiet to conserve her energy but he couldn't relay it to her . in his head he's focused on how much she's bleeding and if it's the liver or the spleen and no na'vi biology is different and how long has she been bleeding and it's all a chaos cluster that he cant hang on to any solid thought. its gonna sink in later for him, god. you guys might get bored from the thought process parts but i love writing them 😭
also nini, are you british or anywhere related by any chance? "mum" 🤨🤨
BUT, ABOUT NEYTIRI....... she has me in my feels,, like, this is happening because reader went out for her iknimaya BEING TAUNTED BY JAKE . she bled out BECAUSE SHE DIDNT WANT TO TELL JAKE. She told him to fix this every single time and he didnt, thinking it wasnt urgent and physically protecting his family had to come first, to him, he has to keep them alive first and they can handle whatever come their way together. and now this incident has proven how wrong that mindset was. as her mother, neytiri is beyond wrathful, but as his mate, she is disappointed and miserable. not only has she missed her child's most important moment she wanted to put in her songcord she may lose her for it. she has had enough 😭 and the blood paint is going to be so OOF....
NOW ONTO THE SIBLING DYNAMICS! ABt lo'ak and reader,, like, lo'ak can be a cheeky bitch because they're so close, you know? they havent emotionally bonded as neteyam and reader did because lo'ak would play it off whenever feelings are involved at that stage in life but he likes his sister bc she knowingly wants to take all the fire directed towards him bc she wants to throw hands with her father 😭 he's like ur generic younger brother you fight over your belongings a lot, but he's also like jake, he'll do something in the fic that im looking forward to see you guys react to! 🤠
and dont worry, in this house we like angst, you know i'm not gonna let you guys off easy LMAOOOOOO THAT I SEE YOU SCENE IS GOING TO BE 😙🤏🏻
AND NO, THANK YOU FOR THE ASK, have an amazing day!

Day 7 - Moonlight & Nightmares
Tumblr media
Marius had begun to excuse himself from the ballroom in order to go speak with Armand. Armand had been wholly absent in the face of the celebration at Marius’ return. If he had thought it would be easy to miss him in the crowd that had assembled for Lestat’s triumphant reunion with Marius, Louis and Gabrielle, Armand had been sorely mistaken.
"Do you want me to come with you?" Daniel had murmured, leaning into Marius.
While Marius had been with Daniel through the majority of Armand and Daniel's own reunion, Marius shook his head. It wasn't that one was different to the other. Neither was more, or lesser, in terms of navigation.
It was instead a matter of years. Centuries, really. And the fact that this wasn't the first time Armand would have had to face the reality of Marius' death.
Perhaps that should have made him less willing to belief in it this time around. That was Daniel's thought, a whisp of consideration that made Marius realise he'd been broadcasting his own thoughts.
Marius sighed. He knew, of course, that was exactly what Armand had believed. What Rhosh had wanted them all to believe, as he had taken Lestat's close confidants, one by one.
Still, this confirmation from Daniel that it was indeed the nightmarish landscape his Armand had occupied while he'd been gone.
Unconscious. Utterly unable to reach back to anyone here within this convergence of immortals.
I'm sorry...
Marius truly wasn't doing so well tonight as he had thought he was if he was still broadcasting so much, despite having already been made aware of the fact.
He had grasped Daniel to him immediately upon his return, not even pausing long enough to remove the dark red, velvety robe beforehand. Daniel had been all he'd been able to let himself see, having assessed before that embrace that there was no auburn haired fledgling standing beside him.
Daniel had not been far from his side since that moment. Marius didn't care who watched him now as he found himself reaching for Daniel again now, however.
"I never thought you were gone," Daniel murmured up against his neck as Marius pressed his nose into the crown of Daniel's head and took in the unique scent of this boy.
"Oh?" The corner of Marius' lip lifted. He wondered if Daniel was just speaking the sentiment to alleviate his pain, redirect it for the sake of his resilience before Marius faced Armand. "You alone in all of Auvergne, huh?"
"Sometimes seemed that way."
Marius checked Daniel's rueful expression, and saw there was no levity to his tone, nor in his mind. Only the fact that Daniel himself hadn't been able to bring himself to speak to Armand these past nights; their differing impressions on what remained of Marius far too diverse. Daniel clear eyed in a belief that couldn't be shaken.
His lips parted as he stared down into Daniel's violet eyes. Still so youthful; still with so much more of a story to be told.
Resilience was a thing that kept a blood drinker from succumbing to the years. It was something Daniel already had in large amount. And Marius found himself glad of it. Glad that one of his greatest loves had been able to see past the pain of loss his absence had indicated.
"How could Rhosh destroy one such as you? Really?" Daniel narrowed his eyes as he seemed to peer into Marius, as though he was honestly searching for a weakness Rhosh could have possibly exploited.
Marius gave a small, humourless, chuckle. He wasn't quite sure if Daniel's steady belief could be counted as bordering on foolish. Regardless, Marius was grateful for it. Grateful if the fewer years Daniel had existed in the blood had offered him the ability to belief in seemingly impossible things.
"That immortal had a good couple of millennia on me," he murmured, brushing his lips against Daniel's temple, and craving the connection of blood he knew Daniel would willingly give him. Had willingly given him, many times under a moonlight sky. And would again.
"Enough to understand the value inherent in other Children of the Millennia," Daniel said, adopting Marius' own term. "Especially without Amel in his ear, telling him otherwise."
"Perhaps." This conversation had taken on a dour tone. Because, if it would have been a loss for Marius to have been removed from their kind, it was as much a loss that Rhosh no longer remained. Just as it was with Maharet. Mekare. Khayman. So many of the old ones just... lost.
And, still, Marius knew he had yet to find and speak to Armand this night. It wouldn't wait. That, whatever darkest thoughts had been running rampant through Armand's mind, Marius was still here. It would not be another four centuries until Marius returned to him this time. Marius was sure it would not be another minute.
"I must go," he murmured.
Daniel didn't ask a second time if Marius wanted him to come. Instead, he merely took half a step away, so that Marius' arm fell down between them.
"I'll be with you whenever you call." However it goes, Daniel added, directly into Marius' mind.

Vice Versa ep 11
Much like Puen and Talay shifting back to their original universe (ou) this week, the show made a clear design shift. Before the ep, I was eagerly awaiting red - so much Red - in the clothes, in the lighting, in the set and in the props...so I felt bereft when we didn't get it. It felt strange, as though this ep didn't seem to belong in the same 'world' that the series had set up over the past 10 eps...and of course it didn't!...because we weren't in the alternate universe (au) anymore...we're now back in the ou. Of course it would be different.
But I didn't realise this at first.
At first I didn't understand. I missed the look and feel of the show that I had gotten used to over the past ten weeks. I wanted the vibrancy of the multi-coloured palettes, the saturation of single colours throughout the scenes. I was sad the show had changed and I couldn't, at first, find reasoning to it. But then I did - I realised I was basically being made to feel how Talay and Puen (and probably Pakorn and Tess) must have been feeling to have left somewhere that they had gotten to know and love. Their bereftness was also my bereftness. My sadness that I didn't get all. the. red. was their sadness to leave the lives they had lived for two years.
And what a perfect way to emphasise this change from one thing to the next - the end of one thing and the beginning of the next - than Fuse's (maybe final, if we don't see him again) t-shirt, "SUNDAY". Incidentally, the colour attributed to Sunday in Thailand is also, yes, you guessed it, RED.
Tumblr media
Despite it being the red episode, there was actually a lot of blue and yellow (see Aou above and Pakorn below for examples). I can reason blue could be because of Talay but the yellow I'm not so sure about (I come back to this later!). The very first shot of the ep is of Pakorn in the blue and yellow windbreaker...but in the ambulance Puen has changed to the other actor's top. Now, this could just be a continuity error...but it could also be very deliberate and I want to know why. (It could I suppose have been that before going into the ambulance they changed Puen out of his wet top and put him in the dry one of his co-star...but that doesn't seem like a likely scenario in an emergency):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But back to red...and the red we did get was small and subtle - one could say 'normal' amounts of a colour that we'd expect in our everyday lives. Perhaps to show that Puen and Talay are back to their 'normal' lives in their universe (albeit changed by Tess and Pakorn). @talaypuens wrote a fabulous post looking at this understated use of red, about how the red both represents Puen (in Thai, red = "daeng" - which sounds like how Talay kept drawing out the the name 'Dang' which he used for Tun in jest - and which can translate to being 'famous' or a 'celebrity'), and also as a symbol of things preventing Talay and Puen from getting to each other - literally as a 'stop sign'.
I loved Talay's time at the beach in particular, because we not only have the cryptic blue and yellow (of the fisherman's t-shirt and Talay's shirt) in the daytime but when Talay finally gets to the island at night, he's wearing a pastel red linin shirt. Maybe because on one hand he's closer to being with Puen again, but on the other hand the pink, along with the different blues of the sky, sea, and fisherman's t-shirt, and the slightly orangey-red of the boat, make up the 'Sea palette' that Puen named in ep 7.
Tumblr media
The same colours which are in the painting beside Talay's bed as soon as he gets home:
Tumblr media
I won't go through all the red instances (because @talaypuens did that in their post linked above)...but I'll just point out two which weren't included. First in the cinema, with Puen's pink beside Talay, the red behind...and Gyo in a blend of their colours beside him (red+blue=purple):
Tumblr media
And earlier with Talay's friend group (miraculously accepting him back after a two-year estrangement). Just look at all that blue and yellow!
Tumblr media
In their post, @talaypuens points out that there's a push and pull of the universe trying to get Talay and Puen together and this is shown in the the form of green vs red - the green "nature/set is organically telling them where they will eventually end up (the glass house), but the artificial inserts of red also is STOPPING them from letting it happen". And we see as the ep goes on that more and more of the screen is taken over by the green...which I realise now is made from mixing yellow and blue...so that could be the reason those colours are more prevalent in the beginning of the ep and less so after the green itself takes over. The above friend scene is one of the last ones with yellow in it, as is the greeny-yellow jacket of the interviewer in the following scene. Blue and yellow pop back again briefly in the cinema as Talay is rushing back to try to see Puen:
Tumblr media
And then Talay and Puen finally meet at the glass house...which is full of green...but also both are wearing dark blue, and the fairy lights bringing in the yellow. Everything adds up to green. Everything is screaming GO. Finally.
But before we get the reunion, Talay reaches out to the pinky-red plant in the cage, perhaps representing Puen or their love (pink is them remember) but whilst they've been estranged from each other they are trapped, stunted, unable to grow and develop to their full potential. Or maybe the plant represents everything from the alternate universe and how it's shut away from them, unreachable, and potentially slowly dying...as memories do when they fade away...? @grapejuicegay also made some wonderful interpretations about this here: "Puen trapped back in this universe when Talay had to struggle to make his way back, Puen trapped behind the wall of fame that is keeping them from meeting".
Tumblr media
And so we get to the end and this below, this was the only moment I felt we were back to the 'world' of Vice Versa. In Puen's bedroom, with the pink and blue feel of the lighting (along with that pop of golden light) that the past two eps have been leaning on so strongly. I felt a comfort, a familiarity, a sense of 'this is where we belong'...very much like Talay and Puen must be feeling to finally be back within each other's orbit, no?

And so for next week...I've done a lot of theorising already about the final ep colour and right now I don't think I could guess from the preview, so I'll just keep it to what I'd like it to be -> either a blue (for Talay) or a 'sea green' (to match the ocean blue) or silver (because of the moon reference we got in the preview), or even a violet/purple for @grapejuicegay 💜
These little easter eggs (the colour-wheel clock and artwork on the wall) might also be telling us that it's a light colour...or just giving us a red herring because the show has either purposefully left it blank or used two slightly different shades so as not to spoil it...we'll soon see!

'Transparent' has also been suggested (by @demichirua), which I like because Talay has been carrying a transparent bag this ep, but also because, as @grapejuicegay said: "the barriers between the universes are sort of clearing up for them" (if they do universe-hop again as the preview is leading us to believe).
Anyway, never trust a Thai trailer/preview...so I'm hoping they are just leading us on and that they won't actually switch universes again. There's a lot to suggest that they do universe-hop - Talay doesn't have his glasses on in one cafe scene (and in the bathroom and in bed), so it could be in the au, and sometimes Puen and Talay are wearing clothes more in the style of Pakorn and Tess...
But, there's a lot to suggest they also don't universe-hop - Talay has his glasses on even in scenes where their clothes look more like from the au (they could have just bought similar clothes in the ou because they've gotten used to them) and he also has his glasses on when he has the Friend Credits folder and when it looks like he meets Aou (who could be someone else in the ou like with Joe/Pramote -> @grapejuicegay here I go with my clown Dol agenda again because what if Dol makes it back and he looks like Aou in the original universe!). Remember, similar objects/locations exist in both universes...

Didn't realise you had open requests so I hope I'm not too cheeky coming in just before they close...
Could I have a bit of angst in the form of Gary returning to Bullworth and Jimmy trying (and failing) to avoid him and his emotions?
hey look, it's not Ghost content
dw about having come in late bb <333 I'm sorry it took me so long to finally do this. I'm not 100% feeling this fic, but hopefully you like it
Graduation had eventually came and went, and though the memories of the 2006-2007 school year would forever be burned into his memory, Jimmy forgot all about Gary Smith. New memories took over. New names, new faces, new friends. Cliques grew, diminished, got new leaders and said goodbye to old ones. Peanut had told him to keep in contact when he graduated in 2008, and Gord had even gifted him a fancy gold watch when they graduated together a year later. “Something to remember me by,” he said with a smile on his face.
His mother never bothered to pick him up like she had promised two years ago, and she seemed more than thrilled to let him finish out the rest of his high school life at Bullworth Academy. Pete had been happy about that, saying he was glad he wouldn’t go back to being a lonely loser. And by the time Jimmy was finishing his senior year, Pete had his own little friend group that seemed to really accept him. That was good. Now Jimmy could leave without worrying about the younger teen.
Pete had even helped him look through some colleges before he graduated. There was one outside of Bullworth that offered classes on music and that was good enough for Jimmy. Neil had a little auto shop in the area, too, and the man had been nice enough to hire him under the guidance of one Johnny Vincent. The pay was decent and he did his best to remember everything Johnny would tell him about cars. It certainly was a huge jump from the bikes he used to fix in class a couple years ago.
He was pleasantly surprised when he had been accepted into the college and, to no one’s surprise, Pete was the first to hear about it. They celebrated that night, just the two of them. It wasn’t too much. They just went out to get some food and watch a movie, then proceeded to walk around town after that, talking about whatever came to mind. Pete talked about how Jimmy should look into doing small gigs for some extra cash. That wasn’t a bad idea.
The summer moved in a blur and before he knew it, he was packing his things from Johnny’s old apartment. The greaser had been generous enough to house so long as he helped with rent, picked up after himself, and wasn’t out at ungodly hours. That was fine by him, and while Johnny had originally resisted the amount, Jimmy was hellbent on paying half. It was only fair.
And just like a proud father, Johnny had helped Jimmy move into his new dorm room, clapping a hand on his shoulder and wishing him well.
“You ever need anything, kid,” Johnny told him before he left. “you have my number.”
“Sure. Thanks, Johnny.” And like that, he was alone, boxes littering the ground. The room was a decent size, enough to move on your own, but he wasn’t sure that would be the case whenever his roommate moved in. He took the bed on the right side, setting his old guitar on top and kicking the more unnecessary boxes under the bed. He uses a small switchblade to cut open the boxes he’s left out, pulling out clothes and settling them into one of the dressers. Not too different from the academy, he thinks. Just sharing a room this time. He was going to miss his own privacy, but he was sure it wasn’t too bad.
He barely registers the door opening as he rips open another box. There’s a beat of silence and the air around him suddenly becomes tense.
“James?” He knows that voice. All too well, in fact. His head snaps up, staring into the eyes of Gary Smith. Time seems to stop around them, a wave of emotions crashing over Jimmy. Two years. Two years he hadn’t seen him and he had almost gotten rid of him completely from his memory. And now here he stood, in the doorway of his dorm, an old backpack hanging off of one of his shoulders. Jimmy can feel his heart race as flashes of 2007 come back to him. Everything he had buried had now resurfaced.
“What’re you doin’ here?” It’s the first thing out of his mouth and Gary scoffs.
“I live here now,” he tells him firmly. “Looks like you already made yourself at home.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be in Happy Volts right now?” He can’t wrap his head around any of this. Was it too late to change rooms? Could he get another roommate?
“They let me out, moron.” That word hits him like a truck and he has to bite his tongue. “Guess two years of playing nice was enough to set me free.”
“So that’s it, huh?” he sneers. “You act fine and they just let you out?”
“Well, it’s more of an act.” Gary pulls the backpack around, unzipping it and retrieving an orange bottle. He holds it up, rattling around the pills inside. Jimmy just scoffs.
“Yeah, I’ve seen those before.” He thinks back to what Johnny said. Was it too early to see if he could move back in with him? Would Johnny mind? He would understand, right?
“I’m actually taking them now,” he clarifies. “They gave me different prescriptions. These actually work.” A small smirk graces his lips. “It’s funny what actual help can do, huh?”
“Whatever you say, Gary.” He tries to ignore him as he moves further into the dorm. Gary sets his backpack on the other bed, rummaging through it and Jimmy tries to focus on getting the rest of the boxes open. The feeling he once had of excitement and peace has now been replaced by a flurry of emotions. He feels sick.
True to his word, however, Gary was taking his medicine. He had an alarm set nightly, along with a small routine. He took two pills an hour before bed with some water, and he would crawl under the covers, either with a book or his phone to scroll through social media. The only time they spoke was the rare “Right behind you.” one of them would call out to get past the other.
He wasn’t sure if Gary felt the tension between them. Frankly, he didn’t care. He felt the tension and he didn’t want to anymore. He couldn’t just put everything behind him like that. Everything they had done and gone through, even before Gary had decided to turn his back on him. Everything he had refused to ever unpack or think about had suddenly come back in a single afternoon.
“Somethin’ wrong, kid?” Johnny caught him slipping at work. He had been leaning against one of the cars with the hood already up, staring blankly at the engine. A part of him just considered telling him everything was fine and that he was just having an off day. But he knew Johnny.
“You remember Gary Smith?” he asks. The surprised look on Johnny’s face says it all.
“What about ‘im?”
Jimmy picks his head up, finally holding his gaze. “Care to guess who my roommate is?”
“Oh, you’re kiddin’.” Johnny shakes his head as he sighs. “Who had the bright idea to let that nut job out in the first place?”
“Guess he’s been doing better,” he tells him. “He’s takin’ his pills but…”
“But you dunno if he’s really doin’ better?” Jimmy nods. “I hear ya, kid.” He exhales, still holding a bewildered look. “I dunno what to tell ya. I mean, you’re always welcome to come back to my place if you don’t wanna be there anymore. I wouldn’t trust ‘im.”
“Thanks, Johnny.” But something else is bothering him. A nagging feeling that’s been gnawing at his emotions ever since everything had happened. “Hey, can I ask you something?”
“Shoot.”
“What was it like when you ran into Lola?”
Johnny cocks his head. “What? You run into an old flame?”
Did he mean an old flame? Is that what he felt when he had looked up and seen Gary standing in the doorway? “Yeah. Somethin’ like that.”

The wildest adventure
I was in a bus going to a school-related celebration/conference with these friends of mine toward a train station. The bus took a brief stop on the highway because of traffic and the girls got off, saying they would be okay because they had a phone on them. I sat in the bus, hoping the would be fine.
As soon as they got off, the traffic started moving very quickly and I lost the in a smoke of dust caused by the speeding of the overwhelming amount of cars.
When we reached the station I was worried because they hadn't reached and something told me they were lost because their phones didn't really help them reach the train station. The train station was near this tunnel and I ventured off to explore while I was waiting for the train I intended to take.
This path made out of soil and small, perfectly unsymmetrical rocks kept narrowing both above and beside a small stream lead astray from the river. The road enriched with minerals and perfect supply of water, was growing moss in random patches perfectly. As I walked along, the path kept getting slightly narrower. Just enough area to harbour a person walking along.
Then, I came across a part of the road that was cut by a large chunk of the river flowing through. Someone had tried to construct a bridge through toward my side on the other sometime in the past, but it was left incomplete. I walked through and to the end of the road, to find it blocked by a ledge of hill. As I walked back, I was obnoxiously scared by what looked like a small lizard of some sort.
A man came up from behind me, "Let me take that, it's a baby croc. You see, the river right there is full of them. I wonder how you got here." I just walked behind him while we got to the river, still thinking about the train I had to catch.
Suddenly, the river bed that we were planning to cross was full of crocs. After seeing the panic in my eyes, he walked in so that the crocs would surround him, while I walked through. Handing me the baby croc before he strutted away.
To my horror, he got caught by these crocs. In absolute disgust and annoyance I there the small croc towards the predators and it grew into a bigger croc. They let go of him in a frenzy and I yelled at him to get up and run. We both got to the other end, hurrying to the train station.
The train was leaving the station and I got on and climbed to the roof, so I wouldn't miss the train. The train started moving with so much speed and all I could think of was trying not to fall off. The train tracks were flooded with water as it was by a river and the water kept what felt like water boarding my face. As soon as I thought I could take a breath a large incoming waterfall overwhelmed my vision. Knowing I would fall down a large hill to the other side, I was absolutely shitting my pants.
Somehow after finally living through that horrid experience of a journey, I realised the train was going to roll down a steep slope and it was too late to have jumped into the train compartment.

Not to Be Unprofessional
RCH 3K Celebration
Prompts: 9. “I don’t think you realise just how many people want to date you…I mean you’ve got a queue longer than the one to get into Glastonbury”; 12. "You're my favorite know-it-all."
Pairing: Spencer Reid x fem!Reader
TW: cursing, Spencer's father dies
Word Count: 1470
Is this inspired by the fact that I work in a bookstore? Absolutely, 1000%. Thank you so much for the request, darling; you're also amazing! Hope you like it xx
Leaving the BAU had been a shockingly easy decision. He still lectured from time to time, but Spencer found that the longer he was out of the FBI, the happier and more content he felt. He still saw his former teammates from time to time, but he didn't regret it, not even for a moment. The only problem, really, was that he began to get rather bored, which was an odd feeling for Spencer.
Then his father passed away. The funeral was fine, if not somewhat awkward. He fully did not anticipate being made executor of his father’s will. But, upon his father’s passing, he received a sizeable amount of money. Saving most of it, and using some of it to make sure his mother was comfortable in her facility, he was still left with a rather large amount of money. It was then that he decided to do something he’d always wanted to do, but had never had the time or the money to make happen.
He bought a bookstore. Luckily for Spencer, an older bookstore owner, Mr. Bakeman, just a little ways from Quantico wanted to retire and Spencer bought the store from him. It was also lucky for Spencer that you are part of the bargain - or, rather, you agreed to keep your job as the manager and main bookseller when Mr. Bakeman and his wife moved into retirement. It was lucky because, obviously, you already know the layout of the store, the way the finances work, how to order and restock, and how to assist in running the bookstore. There’s also the small fact that Spencer’s pretty sure that, given the opportunity, he will simply fall madly in love with you.
Mr. Bakeman, a very kind man, seemed to be fully aware of this, unnecessarily reassuring Spencer over and over that you were an asset to the store. Spencer wanted to meet you, to see you for himself and speak to you, but that had proven unnecessary as well. If it’s at all possible, you’re a credit to your profession. You’re kind and funny, good at the business part of the job, as well as the bookselling aspect - a good reader and a people person to boot. The moment you’d first entered the store, Spencer could practically feel hearts forming in his eyes. And while you’d quickly developed an easy, kind rapport with Spencer, you make him feel like the awkward boy he once was, rather than the man he’s become. Even now, six months into running the store with you, any confidence Spencer has cuts to nothing when you’re around.
And to make it even more shocking and nerve-wracking, he’s about 86% sure you might...like him too? If that’s possible? It’s only occasional, but he sometimes thinks that you might be watching him - the same way he watches you. You go out of your way to talk to him, to make sure he’s comfortable and happy. You’d quickly picked up on his eccentricities and seem not to mind them. And you’re so kind to him it almost hurts his heart.
This morning, he enters the store as usual, coffee in hand and newspaper tucked under his arm, which he would complete with the slightly nicer pen in his back office. However, as he passes the front display table just inside the entrance, he freezes, stepping back two steps and looking over the contents of the table in confusion. Something is different. Call it intuition or the result of his eidetic memory, but he knew something had changed since he'd put the table out yesterday. The bell of the front door cues him to the fact that he's been staring at the table for quite a while. As he looks up and sees you walking in, he realizes how much he's missed out on by hiding in his office over the crossword every morning: the morning sun shining behind you as you enter the building truly is a sight to behold.
"You're not mad, are you?" you ask by way of greeting.
"W-what?" he manages to ask, his throat suddenly insanely dry.
"The table," you gesture to it. "I saw the theme and there was a blank spot? You'd missed the new book about Dickens and his mistress and I thought that it would-"
"Oh," he says, realizing what he'd missed about the table. "No, that's perfectly fine, Y/N."
"Are you sure?" When he nods in response, you smile, "I thought you might not notice, but you are a genius after all."
"Sorry to be such a know-it-all," he mumbles, feeling a blush heating his cheeks.
You meet his eyes again, fixing him with a gentle look that nearly does his heart in, "You're my favorite know-it-all."
He’s a tad overwhelmed by the compliment. Most compliments overwhelm him, but one of this variety - so genuinely kind and well-meaning - is a bit too much for him to handle.
His brain eventually settles on a rather awkward, “Th-thank you.”
As he leaves you to your morning work, he inwardly cringes at his own bumbling behavior. It’s rare that he closes his office door, but such as awkward interaction deems it necessary. About half an hour later you knock on the door before entering, a cup of coffee in your hands.
“Hi,” you say, crossing to the other side of his desk and placing the coffee in front of him.
“Thank you,” he replies, nodding towards the coffee. “You didn’t have to-”
“I wanted to apologize,” you cut him off suddenly.
“Apologize?” Spencer’s genuinely confused.
“For what I said,” you clarify, “earlier.”
“For what you said?” Spencer’s still lost, a rare thing for him.
“I didn’t mean to...I mean...if I made you uncomfortable,” you answer, looking at your hands. “I...you...you’re my boss, obviously, and I don’t...I never want you to think I’m trying to suck up to you or anything, but I just...”
“Y/N,” Spencer leans forward, reaching over his desk to take your hand in his, a shock of confidence burning through him, “it’s okay. I wasn’t offended. I never think you’re sucking up to me, I promise. You make me smile all the time and I...I’m delighted to be your favorite know-it-all. I was just surprised.”
You stare at him then, head cocked to the side, but never letting go of his hand, “Spencer, not to...not to make you uncomfortable, but, um, have you seen yourself? Spent time with yourself?”
“Wh-what do you...what do you m-mean?” he stammers.
“It’s just...you’re so gorgeous and wonderful and....and...I just would think that you’d be used to compliments like that.”
Spencer can feel a blush growing up his neck and hitting his cheeks, “Um...uh...th-thank you, but, um, no...not-not really the usual thing that people think of when they meet me, I’m afraid.”
Without warning and without letting go of his hand, you cross to his side of the desk, standing before him. Hands slightly shaking, you drop his hand only to timidly cup his face in your hands, thumbs running along his jaw. Spencer practically leans into your touch, barely abating a moan at the contact.
“You can’t be serious,” you finally whisper, staring at him with such admiration as he’s never seen before.
“I don’t think I’m anyone’s cup of tea,” he replies quietly, self-deprecatingly.
Your eyes narrow in concern, “I don’t think that at all.”
“Y/N, that’s kind of you, but-”
“I don’t think you realise just how many people want to date you…I mean you’ve got a queue longer than the one to get into Glastonbury,” you tease softly tracing your thumbs against his jaw again.
“W-what’s Glastonbury?” Spencer manages to rasp.
“It’s not important,” you giggle quietly, “what is important is that you’re stunning and amazing and a wonderful person and I wish you would recognize it.”
You start to move away, but Spencer grabs your hands, standing suddenly and pulling you to him. You stare up at him, eyes surprised, but warm and soft.
“That queue,” he whispers, “the one to Glastonbury?”
“Yes?” you reply, looking up at him hopefully.
“I don’t care about them,” he smiles. “Because, not to be unprofessional, but I only want you.”
The most beautiful smile he’s ever seen grows on your lips, “Really?”
Spencer smirks down at you, wrapping an arm around your waist to pull you impossibly closer, “I assure you that the queue for you is much longer.”
“Doubtful,” you scoff. “I wouldn’t care if it was anyway.”
“Really?” Spencer asks, breath hitching as your arms wrap around his neck and your lips venture closer to his.
“Uh-huh,” you nod, your lips only a breath away from his, “because not to be unprofessional, but I only care about you, too.”
