hey everyone. i'm in a really tight situation right now, and i know a lot of people out there have it so much worse than i do but i have to ask for help again because i don't know what else to do. my cat needs work done on his teeth, he's in pain and i only have $11 in my account right now. On top of that, we're trying to get everything together to move and keep up with our bills and it's been extremely, extremely difficult. waoh boy I love to sleep in my bed in my bedroom with my husband and just simply not actually sleep even a little bit because my body is hurts

#cool and good! neat and fun #I started sleeping in the guest room to see if the old bed would be better #but it's been so long that at this point it was just habit and continually forgetting to clear a bunch of my laundry off my side of the bed #I thought!! maybe!! it would be fine!! maybe with a body pillow and with my pillow not overstuffed and with better sleep position...!#AND LIKE. I'd put up with Aches tbqh. but I can't FALL asleep so I'm just simply fucked #and justin snores which okay was always a problem for me but now also I am a couple of months used to not hearing it #so I CANNOT fall asleep because Sounds and then also that keeps me up long enough that MY BODY. IS HURTS. and then I REALLY can't sleep #and it's FRUSTRATING it's WEIRD it's not like the bed feels immediately uncomfortable to lay in #and like I end up with pain in my foot and I start to notice it when I'm not even laying ON that same hip #and other things like that where like. I can't even tell what exactly the problem even IS #the discomfort is all too weird and displaced around my body to draw any obvious conclusions about its source #and I swear I'm sleeping in the same positions as I do in the other bed! and trying to angle my weight off my hips!#I'm a side sleeper in theory but in practice I've become more of a belly sleeper because of the way I end up tilting my hips and shoulders #we have a king sized bed! it's not like I'm trying to squeeze into a smaller space even!!#AUUGHH. IT'S NOT FAIR. I DON'T WANNA BE A SEPARATE BEDROOMS COUPLE IT BUMS ME OUT SO BAD I WANNA CUDDLE MY BOY #I just don't know what else to do #HE sleeps better and more pain free in this bed than any other bed he's been in since we started dated (including at other houses etc)#so it's not as simple as 'get a new bed' either :')#about me

Part of the reason that Republicans are so desperately acting like they will never lose again is because they are deeply terrified that this is their last real chance to win. The big orange dipshit came in and gutted the party of everyone who wasn't a loyalist, which left it full of nasty little gremlins who have gaping voids where charisma and human decency is supposed to go.

They still hold a lot of power, but if we stop them this year the next presidential election may not be the Most Important One Of Your Life™, that's not a guarantee or anything, but if they don't win here and now their future looks grim, this dipshit is the only guy they have left and he's extremely diminished and has his brains leaking out of his ears at this point. We can beat him into the ground.

So that's what we're gonna fucking do. We're gonna break these fucking fash. They will crash upon us and we're gonna break their fucking necks. When they come for us they will lose because they're fucking losers and we have each other's backs which is something they fundamentally are incapable of comprehending.

sharing your saved copy of my fics with anyone else who might want them in the unlikely but never impossible case that my fics are no longer available on ao3

making a book of my fic(s) and running your fingers across the pages while lovingly whispering my precioussss

doing these things with anything I create for fandom, such as meta, headcanons, au nonsense like 'texts from the brodinsons,' etc

I am not fine with "the audience"

doing any of the above with the purpose/intent of plagiarizing my work or passing it off as their own in any capacity

feeding my work into ai for any reason whatsoever

I love how on Tumblr, "media literacy" has become "Um, just because someone writes about this doesn't mean they're endorsing this. I hate all these media puritans ruining everything."

I'm sad to inform you that knowing when and whether an author is endorsing something, implying something, saying something, is also part of media literacy. Knowing when they are doing this and when they're not is part of media literacy. Assuming that no author has ever endorsed a bad thing is how you fall for proper gander. It's not media literacy to always assume that nobody ever has agreed with the morally reprehensible ideas in their work.

Sometimes, authors are endorsing something, and you need to be aware when that happens, and you also need to be aware when you're doing it as an author. All media isn't horny dubcon fanfic where you and the author know it's problematic IRL but you get off to it in the privacy of your brain. Sometimes very smart people can convince you of something that'll hurt others in the real world. Sometimes very dumb people will romanticize something without realizing they're doing it and you'll be caught up in it without realizing that you are.

Being aware of this is also media literacy. Being aware of the narrative tools used to affect your thinking is media literacy. Deciding on your own whether you agree with an author or not is media literacy. Enjoying characters doing bad things and allowing authors to create flawed or cruel characters for the sake of a story is perfectly fine, but it is not the same as being media literate. Being smug about how you never think an author has bad intentions tells me you're edgy, not that you're media literate. You can't use one rule to apply to all media. That's not how media literacy works. Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Aheem heem. Anyway.

Even leaving aside the obvious ship bait here, this is one of the best examples of character comedy Hoyo has posted in a long time.

The fact that Jade sends Aventurine a bunch of rocks just knowing that his incredible luck will allow him to suss out, without even cutting the stones, exactly which ones are worth processing is funny as hell.

The fact that Aventurine is actually able to answer and picks out the rocks that contain high value jade without hesitation is absolutely hilarious.

Bro is out here using his blessing from a goddess to play blind-box prize games. This is like finding out X-Men's Professor X uses his telepathy to order pizza.

hi, i'm so sorry, i feel awful asking again, but my income is about 1/3rd of the local minimum wage and i am physically disabled and unable to make more money and don't really have other options.

this month has been much more expensive than usual, as for a third of the month i had to get celiac-safe groceries & personal care items for two additional disabled people, and on this income i often struggle even to meet my own needs.

i currently owe more money than i have left bc i had to borrow to get them groceries & meds etc and while i'd do the same again bc they're very important to me and should have their needs met, i need to pay that back asap and i'm now struggling with needing groceries and personal care items for my own body and not having money left to cover them.

would any financially secure adult be willing to help with even $5?
