No spoilers but I never thought anything could top the animation, color palettes, and the overall visuals of Into the Spiderverse but Across the Spiderverse absolutely did without a doubt in my mind. Just gorgeous animation and compositions all around and I can’t wait until it comes on dvd so I can pause and admire every single frame. Everyone who worked on character designs, backgrounds and lighting etc should be so so proud of the work they’ve done.

Peter B admitting to Miles that the non stop tragedies and losses shaping their stories are hard, harsh, and , knowing they can do something about it, cruel even. Then saying the GOOD aspects essentially outshine them. But that's not true. That's a classic toxic positivity line, used to justify shitty, unequal politics. " But at least we have this one good thing" WE CAN HAVE THAT GOOD THING AND NOTHING ELSE. WE AREN'T MADE TO BE IN PAIN, AND PAIN SHOULDN'T MAKE A HERO.

What Miguel doesn't understand is they don't owe the world suffering.

BTSV better have Gwiles/Ghostflower canon by the end of the first half of the movie and the rest is just them being suckers in love like they're supposed to be cuz it's not just that I want them to end up together it's that I want to actually see them being together and how they would act in a real canon relationship I need that and their friends shipping as always I need that too

So I’ve rewatched spiderverse 3 times now and one big thing I noticed was the fact to captain canon events phrasing “A police captain that is close to a spider person is killed saving a child during a fight with a nemesis” this is a main thing that causes me to doubt the canon event idea because Spot is not Pavitr’s nemesis and it’s supposedly his canon event so just because miles is also in the fight shouldn’t mean anything and also it’s not during a fight it’s the aftermath idk these are just my thoughts and I haven’t seen anyone talk abt this specific phrasing
