This was an early Goldenloin test with his original long hair design. We were pushing for a more rock star / glam rock feel for him, and were considering Paul Rudd for the voice. So I did this test using the audio from I Love You, Man.
I will not teach you how to hide, but rather to stand staunchly in the face of fear
I will never teach you how to harden your heart, when it's softness is what makes it dear
You ask me to teach you how to leave your past behind, but doing so would be a crime
Your past, your pain, without those things you wouldn't be the same.
Why make your knife hand still, when it was never meant for a blade?
I will teach you how to love, good friend, but you must begin by learning to love yourself.
Love your weaknesses, your softness and your past.
Those things, though labor-some, prove their usefulness quite fast.
When unhappy thoughts come and you question your worth, look in the mirror and see the face I've grown so fond of seeing
Remind yourself you are more than your troubles. Know that you are kind, you are great, and that even though the world seems against you, you are far more than this most recent beating
Lift your head to the sky, cry up to the heavens, but do not kneel to the violence this world thrusts up on you.
Your strength will be a beacon to others, where you stand tall others will take solace in your shadow
And even though you may never turn and look to see them, know that you are not alone.
Really amused by the fact that Facebook chose to remind me that this week marks the anniversary of the release of one of Rudy's favorite movies! Paul Rudd is iconic in it.
One thing I've thought about you is, "woah, okay, wait... Holy shit your glasses are almost the same as mine! Holy fuck you look amazing! woah! Arrrrt, how tf do you draw so freaking well!?"
