Oh well. At least I got one last funny snowman pic with Chill Sunbather cosmetics on. The snowboard makes the image even funnier. In my opinion anyway.

Sadly, the sunglasses clip through the bat mask horribly. So I wore the Journey mask with them instead. The Gloating Narcissist hair works so well with the look! If only I had the surfboard. (Too expensive for something that only works on water.)

Funny Gaming moments with Lando and Max (F) x QuadrantStreamer! Reader

Plot: Just funny moments where Reader is a member of Quadrant and is a big UK streamer that does everything on Twitch and YouTube.

A/N: this is only small and just for fun, better Lando stuff is coming out.

Moment 1:

"Do you earn more than Lando Norris, chat you guys are wild ... but honestly with my individual sponsors, YouTube and streaming and any of my weird side activities I think it'd be up for debate" you giggle not actually knowing how much difference there was in what you or Lando earned.

"Not girlie casually admitting that with her side hustle she earns as much as an F1 driver, yeah guys, you gotta think I stream and upload full time. So i get paid for each YouTube video I do, I'm a twitch affiliate and you guys are so so generous. I game competitively and earn from that. I have sponsors, so ... lets just say i had no trouble buying Lando's Christmas presents" you grin, knowing the man had widely expensive taste.

"Who am i spending Christmas with, well Lando's family has asked if I'd like to join them, but I'll be spending the holidays mostly with Max and Pietra. Oh my gosh guys, did you see Instagram? I met Martin Garrix! How cool is that!" you laugh.

Moment 2:

"So I'm here today with Lando, and I'm teaching him Valorant, he knows that I'm in good but I don't think he knows I'm Immortal" you say until you unmute yourself in discord.

"Hey Lando baby" you joke but all you get from the otherside is silence which makes your chat go absolutely crazy.

You hear a few coughs that sound like choking, so you check his stream making sure not to tab out on stream, seeing him sat there in shock in his chair blushing.

"Lando?" you ask, and you watch as he rearranges himself in his chair pulling the mic closer to him.

"Hi, hello yes. Sorry you just threw me off guard" he laughs, wiping across his face with his fingers.

"What are we?" he asks, and you burst out laughing at the question which makes him laugh too. Chat on both ends starts going crazy, with the spam of Lando Norizz <<< Y/N the Rizzler and you were both dying.

Moment 3:

"Argghh fuck" you scream leaning back and fulling falling back off your chair. You were currently playing the horror game ' In Silence with Max, Lando and Ria.

"No way did Y/N just fall?" Max asks laughing at the girl whose stream he pulled up seeing her laying on the floor gripping her shoulder while her chair was now also laying in the floor.

"SHE DID" Lando laughs and you groan out in embarrassment.

Moment 4:

"What was that chat? My door reopened and closed shut while I was gone?" you ask looking back at your door. You knew you were home alone, the only people having a key to your apartment being Max and Pietra and Lando. But they were all travelling right now and were on the plane.

"Chat, stop messing with me" you scold jokingly, you start to load up the game your changing too. However a knock at your bedroom door has you stilling.

"What" you mouth looking at the camera. You go to the door, chat spamming saying how by opening the door that how all the dumb movie characters die. You here another knock making you flinch, you rip open the door, screaming when you see the scary mask, jumping and tacking the person now.

"Ow Y/N fuck" you hear and you rip the mask of, knowing that voice but not wanting to assume.

"Lando?" you ask looking at him.

"I thought it would be funny" he jokes laughing.

Moment 4:

"So Lando, Max and I thought it would be funny to play Valorant but for every kill we get we do a shot" you exclaim.

"Y/N gonna need new kidneys by the end of this? Hmmm very true, maybe we change it to every time we die we do a shot?" you ask seeing what chat's opinion would be on that.

"Then Lando and Max will be needing new kidneys? Well, I'm playing on my alt account and I'm just chilling so we'll be in gold/silver lobbies. Last time we played on my normal account, it was a struggle.

"Lets ask what they prefer! Guys? You want to do shots every time we get a kill or when we die?" you ask after unmuting yourself.

"We playing with MILF account of FnaticY/N?" Lando asks.

"MILF of course. And no comps, I'm not being called a booster" you grin and Max groans, Max was gold 2 and was asking for you to coach him, you had watched him in unrated's but refused to do comps together.

"Wait, when did you change your name...didnt it used to be Ilovetits6?" Max laughs.

"Yes, but chat started to call me mother? So i just rolled with it" you grin looking at chat and winking.

Moment 5:

"Are you and Lando Norris dating?" you ask, and then you open your phone and call Lando himself.

"Hey baby!" you smile and show the chat what Lando is saved as and the picture while he's on speakerphone.

"Hey love. I'm a little late coming back. I got stuck here with Zac and Oscar, but Max and P wanted to know if you would like to go out for dinner with them tonight" he asks and you laugh.

"Wait, Y/N are you live"

"Maybe, look you said you were ready to go public. So this is payback for what you did to Max on stream!" you laugh, knowing he wont be mad at you, as you'd talked recently about going public.

"Exposed? Yes yes i did" you grin.

Moment 6:

"Y/N your boyfriend is horny come sort him out" AngryGinge says adding you to the call forcefully mid stream.

"Mmmm that sounds like a job for you" you says seriously and you pull up his and Lando's stream to watch what was going on. Some people had come into your stream to say to get Lando to end the stream before PR has his head.

"He's been moaning on stream Y/N get your man and take him home"

"Yeah sorry let me just hop on the jet to Monaco..." you joke, knowing you definitely don't have a private jet.

"Wait, just how rich are you? Your boyfriends out here buying watches for 400k, you have a private jet. This just ain't right!" he exclaims making you laugh.

"I don't have a private jet. But... I've been in one of Max Verstappen's" you boast, you'd been introduced to him through Lando as Kelly wanted to meet you and set you up with her modelling agency.

"Huh? WHAT?" he screams and you just laugh before leaving the call. You shoot Lando a teasing message watching his eyes change as he reads it, and he lets out a groan that soon turns into a joke as Angry Ginge yelled at him to calm down again.

Moment 7:

"Salem stop" you tell your cat, which had jumped up and starting to paw in your lap where the blanket lay across before flopping down wanting fuss.

She started to meow at you not getting the wanted attention, but you were in the middle of an important rank up game, that would put you as radiant in Valorant.

As the game went on, you apologized to your teammates when you died after nearly clutching a round when Salem distracted you by pawing at your hand on your mouse.

"Salem please bub. 3 more rounds and you can have all the cuddles in the world" you whisper to the cat before she settles down, you proceed to Ace the next round and your team and you win the next two. The end of the game, with the MVP you get promoted to Radiant #497.

You celebrated by grabbing Salem your black Bombay cat and hugging her tightly, she leans into you wrapping her paws around happy for the affection she's finally getting.

"Treat?" you ask receiving a meow.

you wanna hear me talk about my favorite live action movie? of course you do here we go (0 notes)

just a quick nope infodump cuz i have nowhere else to dump my thought about this movie -- i put it under the cut cuz i know some people dont like horror or scary stuff, and some people are planning on watching it and dont want spoilers :]

first this is my thing of how i finally got to watching nope, it can be skipped, the actual infodump starts at the pink text

ok so first of all, nope had caught my attention when i first saw some trailers for it,, then i forgot about it until i saw some fanart for the gordy scene, and i thought it looked so good. so i looked in the comments and people kept talking about that scene. me, being curious, looked up the scene on youtube. and it scared me so bad.

later in the year (2022) i went to universal studios in a family trip. i really enjoyed it but the one part that was my favorite was the studio tour, i love animation and film and cinematography so it was right up my alley. but at the very end of the tour, we went to the new exhibition of it. Jupiter's Claim.

the very same jupiter's claim from the movie (not really just a recreation). they did a whole thing with the aliens and it freaked me out. very fun but i did not expect it so it was alarming to see a set piece from a movie i had little knowledge on and was scared of.

so i did what i usually do to keep my nerves down, started researching it. watching trailers, actor interviews, cinematography etc.

i wanted to see what the movie was about, so i looked it up and read the plot on wikipedia, it did get me less scared of it, but it also really peaked my interest.

when the synapsis described jean jacket's final form, i hadnt imagined it was so big. in my head i thought it was smaller than a person and that it looked like a jellyfish. i was only half right. then once again, i forgot about the movie entirely.

until almost a year later. when i saw a "everything great about" video on nope. i thought, well they usually cut up the movie, and talk through it, so itll basically be like watching the movie.

it was really interesting, so i decided to watch it. now onto my infodump thing im mostly going to be talking about the themes and stuff

HERES THE MOVIE PLOT WHICH I JUST PULLED FROM WIKIPEDIA CUZ I DONT WANT TO WRITE THE ENTIRE THING -- you can skip this if youve watched tho movie, or just skip it if you want idc

[In Agua Dulce, California, the Haywood family trains and handles horses for film productions. One day at the Haywood ranch, small metallic objects violently fall from the sky. One of these objects, a nickel, ends up killing Otis Haywood Sr.

Six months later, his children, Emerald "Em" Haywood and a depressed Otis "OJ" Haywood Jr., are fired from a set after their horse, Lucky, reacts violently to its own reflection in a chrome ball utilized for visual effects. To raise money, OJ has been selling some of the Haywood horses to Ricky "Jupe" Park, who operates a Western theme park called Jupiter's Claim. Jupe exploits his past traumatic experience as a child actor on the set of a family sitcom that costarred a chimpanzee named Gordy. During filming of an episode, Gordy reacted violently to the sound of popping balloons and attacked at least two of his human co-stars, but ultimately left Jupe completely unharmed, before being fatally shot by police.

One night, the Haywoods notice their electricity fluctuating and their horses violently reacting to an unknown presence. They discover an unidentified flying object (UFO) that has been taking their horses and spitting out the inorganic matter, which OJ concludes to have caused their father's death. The siblings decide to document and sell evidence of the UFO's existence, and recruit electronics store employee Angel Torres to set up surveillance cameras. The UFO arrives and abducts a horse as well as a plastic horse Em stole from Jupiter's Claim for use as a decoy.

The next day, Em attempts to recruit famed cinematographer Antlers Holst to help them record the UFO. Holst declines, telling Em that chasing wealth and fame is a "dream you will never wake up from." Angel then arrives and reveals that a cloud in the valley never moves; OJ suspects this is the UFO's hiding place before theorizing, based on the UFO's flight patterns, that it isn't a ship at all.

Jupe introduces a live show in Jupiter's Claim where he plans to use Lucky as bait to lure out the UFO. For months Jupe has been offering the UFO the Haywood's horses for shows. The UFO arrives earlier than expected and devours Jupe and everyone in attendance for the show (including his family and staff), ultimately leaving only Lucky alive. OJ, attempting to retrieve Lucky, confirms his theory that the UFO is actually a territorial, predatory organism. After the creature showers the Haywood household with the detritus and regurgitated remains of the Jupiter’s Claim crowd, OJ realizes that it only attacks those who look directly at it. He devises a plan to record it. Em and Angel are hesitant until Em receives a call from Holst, who now agrees to help. OJ names the organism "Jean Jacket", after a horse that Em as a child was promised to train.

To circumvent Jean Jacket's effect of shutting down all electronics nearby, Holst brings a hand-cranked IMAX film camera. The group plans to bait Jean Jacket with a field of electrically-powered tube man props to deduce its location in the sky. However, a TMZ paparazzo trespasses onto the field and is thrown from his electric motorcycle when it shuts down near Jean Jacket, which devours him. Though Holst captures footage of Jean Jacket, his obsession with "the impossible shot" results in him being devoured alongside his camera, forcing the remaining three to flee. Angel survives an attack from Jean Jacket by being wrapped in a tarp and barbed wire, causing the creature to unfurl into a new, larger form.

OJ intentionally looks directly at Jean Jacket, allowing Em to use the motorcycle to rush to Jupiter's Claim. There, she untethers the park's large helium balloon mascot of Jupe, the large eyes of which attract Jean Jacket's ire. Jean Jacket attempts to feed on the balloon while Em uses an attraction's analog camera to photograph Jean Jacket as it feeds. Its attempt to eat the perceived threat results in the balloon exploding, destroying Jean Jacket. With the picture as proof of the creature's existence and reporters arriving nearby, Em sees an unharmed OJ and Lucky standing outside of Jupiter's Claim.]

WOOO NOW ONTO MY THOUGHTS ON THE MOVIE

we know that 6 months before the events of the movie, oj and em's dad was killed from a nickel that came from the sky and hit him in the eye and went into his brain. in the beginning of that scene we hear a radio news broadcast about some missing hikers. SINCE LATER WE FIND OUT THAT JEAN JACKET SHOOTS OUT THE METAL THINGS HE CANT EAT THAT COIN HAD COME FROM THE HIKERS

ohoho jupe, he's such a well written character. he is so complex. he was traumatized as a child with the gordy incident. he was the only cast member (as far as we know) to come out completely unscathed,,, physically. ----- when oj is trying to set up a path of buying the horses back, jupe says "yeah yeah we can do that" (HE IS A LIAR). and while oj is talking to jupe about that, em interrupts asking about the gordy incident. -- JUPE'S REACTION IS SO INTERESTING, HE TAKES THEM INTO A ROOM WHICH IS DEDICATED TO THIS INCIDENT BUT HE DOESNT ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT THE INCIDENT, INSTEAD HE TALKS ABOUT THE SNL SKETCH!!! HE HAS TURNED HIS TRAUMA INTO ENTERTAINMENT!!! the way i saw it is that he subconciously thinks that entertainment is a purpose, and if he can turn that incident into something that can be consumed by others then what happened wasnt for nothing. what he went through wasnt just a pitiful event in his life. it was something to be consumed. it was a spectacle.

JUPE BELIEVED HE WAS SOME KIND OF CHOSEN ONE, first gordy didnt harm him (which was because of the tablecloth not their so called connection) SO HE THOUGHT HE ALSO HAD A CONNECTION WITH JEAN JACKET

in the opening scene we see the first assembly of photographs to create a motion picture, the jockey riding the horse is oj and em's great great great grandfather, AND IN COMPOSITION OF THE CLOSING SCENE, OJ IS FRAMED LIKE IT

aaauughh i just love that jean jacket was named after the horse that em was supposed to train, cuz it ended up being her who conquered and killed the alien in the end

I LOVE THAT ANGEL WAS JUST SOME RANDOM STORE EMPLOYEE WHO JUST DECIDED TO BE PART OF THE GANG, LIKE HE DIDNT KNOW THEM BEFOREHAND AND JUST DECIDED TO JOIN THEM ON THEIR SILLY LITTLE ADVENTURE

i feel like holst was a counterpart to jupe, cuz while jupe wanted to exploit jean jacket for money and clout, holst wanted to exploit jean jacket for his art,, and clout,,,, so they were both selfish but it does show that even when you dont exploit or take advantage something for money and just do it for art ITS STILL EXPLOITING

THE THING WITH THE TMZ GUY OUGH I LOVED THAT SCENE. OJ JUST TRIED TO HELP BUT THAT GUY WAS JUST FOCUSED ON GETTING THE CAMERA, AND THEN OJ'S EYES REFLECTED WHICH CAUSED JEAN JACKET TO NOTICE THEM OUUGHHHH

i love how jean jackets forms differentiate for the circumstances, when she's just the disk its just chillin, just feeding and leaving, but once all the stuff happens against it it starts to get more aggressive. so like most animals he makes themself appear bigger, making for a really good shots in the movie

THE PARALLELS BETWEEN GORDY AND JEAN JACKET ARE ALSO INTERESTING, BECAUSE JEAN JACKET ISNT THE VILLAIN, JUST THE ANTAGONIST,, JEAN JACKET IS AN ANIMAL WHO IS JUST EATING, GOING THROUGH THE NATURAL MOTIONS THAT COME WITH BEING ALIVE. AND SO WAS GORDY, GORDY WAS JUST REACTING TO THE SCARE THAT THE BALLOONS POPPING GAVE HIM

I NEED SOME AFTERMATH CONTENT NOWWW, LIKE WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE NEWS STATION? DID THEY CLEAN THE HOUSE? HOW DID EVERYONE COPE??? DID THEY GET THE FAME THEY WANTED!?? I NEED TO KNOW

I had this stuck in my head for a while but idk if it makes sense or not so bear with me.

Imagine there’s a reader with some sort of ability(?), they aren’t a plant nor anything near as an experiment but a deadly disease. HEAR ME OUT i loved history and learning about it like watching movies/clips/youtube videos in class n stuff, but what i was mostly intrigued in was the bubonic plauge/black death. You might be thinking where am i going with this? Well lets say reader is a walking disease traveling nowhere really since they really have no where to go, along with anyone to rely on since they’re known as the black death/the plauge.

People don’t know who they are at first when they come across them, the first incident broke out when they were roaming with no masking or protection leading to where everyone was catching onto this said disease and basically barricading theirselves inside homes/shelters.

It was an innocent interaction when reader’s hand came in contact with a little kid’s hand, she had the biggest smile on her face when she greeted her new friend they met during a shoot down where component’s were facing off into a gun throw down. It wasn’t long until everyone broke out into a frenzy watching as the little girl soon crumple in front of readers eyes, the disease wrapping itself around her hands causing it to go limp and decay while the rest of her body did the same. Not only did it stop there, it spread to the people around them decaying and screaming for help.

Weeks later did they only find the material to make their very own clothing that would protect people from themselves, aha you guessed it a beaked mask, gloves, and a long coat. Now imagine having to walk through a desert with that kind of clothing on the average human would’ve collapsed from heat stroke and died, but diseases can’t die could they?

I hope y’all at least understand what im going on about wouldn’t it be so cool to read about a reader being the Plauge? How would they meet with Vash and the others, do they remain a secret or do they tell them right off the bat.

In the recent release of the FNAF movie, I just want to put out some head cannons about Avengers Academy. The comic Avengers Academy, not the game.

These guys. I really like the team here and it genuinely hurts me that there is not a lot of stuff about them anywhere, specifically where it explores their journey outside of the Academy, except for X-23 and a handful of others.

This would take place before the end of the comic series, where everyone is still part of the Academy.

Reptil is 100% a FNAF fan who watched Markiplier & popular gamer Youtubers, played the games and subscribed to Game Theory Pre-FNAF era. He became obsessed with the game when he was a preteen and it took over his life for a few years. He watched all the content, listen to the fan made music, watched the FNAF musical, and read the books to delve into the mysteries to distract him from the absence of his parents. He largely kept his interest mostly to himself, mainly because most of the others weren’t fans when they met and was thrilled when the movie was announced. In the months leading up to the release date, he organised a month long event where he would watch/play through all the available FNAF games (or watch the Markiplier's versions if he was tired), write down some of his own theories and draft up a timeline, then watch Game theory to see if there was anything else he would look for and before finishing off with the Musical. The month took into account to any world ending events that might take place while also making room for training. Basically set up a cinema experience in the biggest spare room on the campus

Finesse was one of the first of the group who learned about Reptil's FNAF obsession whilst they were in the midst of their situationship but wasn’t all that interested in it. She didn't find it too appealing because it was obvious to her that there were than a few retcons placed in whatever narrative the creator thought up and thought it was a waste of time. She did however, humour Humberto by allowing him to talk about whatever details were frustrating him.

Mettle got into FNAF when he walked in on Reptil playing through one of the games and a jumpscare scared him. He was aware of the games because of the Markiplier memes but wasn't interested enough to actually play through the game to see what the hype was. After a while of seeing Humberto playing through each of the games, he decided to take a crack out of it. It couldn't be that hard if he played the games blind, right? It was. It was a very humbling experience when he jumpscared again and broke his computer after he tossed it out the window. After that he decides to just watch a few play throughs and talked to Humberto about it. He got very into it, and Humberto eventually got him to watch Game Theory as well. He doesn't understand what's happening but is just there for the vibes.

Hazmat doesn't care to know anything about the games or the fandom. She didn't care for before until she saw Mettle destroy his computer when she walked in. Kind of forced to learn about it when overhearing Mettle and Reptil's conversations and be somewhat disturb by how much they've gotten into it. She mildly enjoys the meme and only laughs at compilation videos. This is the same with Lightspeed, White Tiger and a few of the other kids in the Academy.

Striker is one of the few who hates the game. He genuinely find the games stupid, mainly the fact that no one seems to know anything that's going on. If the reason why the games are so popular than what's the point of making it into a film and catering it to one group of people.

Veil was into FNAF when she was younger but lost interest in it after the fourth game. She thought that was a good stopping point in the series and didn’t pick it up until after. She has some old merch back and hears a few things about FNAF from time to time.

X-23 was surprisingly interested in the FNAF. It happened around the time Mettle got interested and started talking about it with Reptil. With her interest peaked, she decided to use it as a way to fine something to talk to them about. But she did not expect to really get into it. Finished watching the playthoughs and reading the books in a few days before coming to Mettle and Reptil about it. She is mostly confused about the relationship between the book and the games but she's very interested in it.

Everyone in the Academy more or less got involved in watching the reviewing all the FNAF content. in the month before the FNAF film came out, most if not everyone at the Academy set up for the FNAF Viewing in the common area with snacks, comfy cushions and blankets and everyone in their pajamas. The other members of the Academy don’t really know what its about but came any. They all ended up going to watch the film with him when the Academy later disbanded not long later.

Giant Man, Tigra and the other teachers are mostly unaware of FNAF but find. Quicksilver was annoyed to find the team’s leader was distracting himself and the others with something so childish. Tigra and Giant Man didn’t mind it as Reptil did take into account to space it for a month and saw it as a group bonding exercise with everyone taking part in the reviewing. Jocasta didn’t really care so long as it didn't clash with their training schedules or missions. Hawkeye and the others were alright with it but was disturbed when he walked in on Reptil explaining the Bite of 83 and the Springlocks in extreme detail to everyone in the room. But they did find it hilarious when Wolverine called them asking why the hell X-23 spent nearly four-hundred dollars on FNAF merch.

Lastly, on their way over to watch the FNAF film, Reptil, Mettle and X-23 wore FNAF cosplayed. Both Reptil and Laura wore security guard uniform, Humberto as the Purple Guy while X-23 was in grey with a white mask strapped to her security belt, as Vanessa/Vanny and Mettle cosplayed as Golden Freddie.

Some Schneeplebro headcanons because they're on the brain lately (yes the only thing I think about is old gay men)

They met in university and decided to live together with a few other roommates during their time at uni (Chase was a Film student while Henrik was doing his doctorate)

They had both moved to the UK around the time they started University? Henrik had already decided he was going to move away specifically to go to Uni while Chase went back to Uni after doing work for a few years after moving. (Henrik being from Germany and Chase being from Ireland ofc)

They both definitely liked each other during this time but neither of them really recognised it as romantic attraction at the time, Henrik being Demi-Romantic and had never felt romantic attraction before, and Chase did not know he was even interested in men at this point

In my mind they both got super drunk one night and ended up kissing while they were alone together. Neither of them ever acknowledged it while sober but they both thought about it CONSTANTLY.

They eventually both move away and are busy being adults for years, keeping contact but not actually seeing each other the same

Chase eventually realises he's bi and a year or so later him and Henrik meet up again finally and start to actually acknowledge what it was between them (considering now they both have had time to actually consider it as a possibility and Chase is now comfortable enough in his sexuality to actually be with a man)

Now the background stuff is done, now for some fun headcanons!!!

Henrik does not know that Chase can understand German. Chase can't speak a word of it properly but he can listen, read, write and understand it extremely well. Chase does not have the heart to let Henrik know this because he keeps saying things (in the /pos way) about him when he thinks he can't understand him.

They both ended up growing their hair out when meeting up together after being separated- they were both the equivalent to the heart eyes, blushing emoji the entire interaction.

Chase is surprisingly a really good cook. Henrik has not improved on his cooking skills since university (he's not... terrible at it? He's just not amazing at it.)

Chase in my mind is actually a lot smarter than a lot of people take him for granted- (examples being that he immediately catches on when things go wrong and people trying to manipulate him, as well as him immediately asking questions in AF) Henrik, while being extremely book smart, can be extremely misunderstanding in a lot of situations (in my mind he's very tunnel vision when it comes to things- he goes for what's directly ahead of him without stopping to consider the things around him- Chase usually being the person to stop him to have him consider other options first)

Both of them have parental trauma regarding neglect but in vastly different ways (Henriks parents pushing him to pursue a career in medicine and never considering what he wanted to do with his life, while Chase's parents were just unbothered to his existence and never cared to check in on him to see what he was up too) both of them are no contact with their respective families.

Chase is super into media analysis- the man goes crazy for themes in film and games and he will spend hours just listening to YouTube videos explaining the depths of a single movie, especially if the movie is something he didn't actually like at first because he likes to hear the different perspectives people have on it.

Henrik is really interested in dark history, specifically of things that don't get as much attention. And mostly of things that solely happen because of people and their negligence, but also how society has improved in safety and understanding in a response to said terrible situations.

They have both movie nights and nights dedicated to analysis/dark history. They both love it.

Chase's love language is words of affirmation and Henriks is physical affection

Henrik is taller than Chase but Chase is stronger. Every time either of them tries to carry the other it always leads to chaos

They're more of a moon and stars ship imo, Henrik being the Stars and Chase being the Moon.

They both really like the idea of traveling and their first place to go to is Rome (They both secretly have plans to propose to each other there and it would 100% be those double proposal moments)

How do you find new music? I struggle to follow the artists I already like let alone find new ones. I know you said you mostly listen to your own playlists and don't use Spotify so I'm curious

Hmm, lots of places!

music subreddits, primarily popheads because they cover a lot of... non-pop stuff and posts critics and scores and it's an easy way to find rabbit holes worth following down

but also i follow subreddits for groups i extra enjoy or want to catch tour dates of. makes it much easier to keep up with current music

i listen to 99% of music posts that end up on my dash, even if it's just to skim the song. give stuff a chance!!!!!!

that said, in terms of stuff on my phone, 99.999% of the listening to music i do on my phone is music i have found and downloaded, i don't do music stations or check charts, which means i RELATIVELY trust my new music playlist each week (since it’s solely based on music handpicked by me) and skim through every track. it’s very very hit or miss but it’s how i discover a lot of new (to me) artists

there's also a separate section on apple music of all new releases from acts you follow (well, theoretically, it misses a lot) and i'll add all of that to a "check later" playlist and evenetually get around to it

i DO follow some music critics, including some whose music opinions i don't agree with BUT enjoy that they post a WIIIIDE range of music. so maybe they say "this music sucks" but if they describe the genre or WHY it sucks, that might pique my interest. or they just remind me a musician exists

i check out featured artists a lot, like if i enjoy a song by a band ft other dude, i'll check out other dude's discography

Wanna hear a funny story about how I have some actual trauma that I closely associate with (not caused by) one of Lily Orchard's videos, if you wanna hear it?

TW for needles, blood, being in pain, panic attacks, asshole nurses, hospitals, and others, probably.

Background context:

Every year in January, I get blood tests done with the rest of my family. It's the first thing we do when the medical updates each year.

I am not afraid of needles, though I do feel pain easier than most, so I tend to like to keep distractions around me (ex: YouTube videos) to help me keep stone-faced as I don't like crying.

I'm like 98% sure I descovered Lily's videos sometime in mid 2022, and watched them after a month of Legend of Korra is Garbage and Here's Why being the first thing recommended to my on every other video I watched (I was going through a phase of getting back into Avatar after a small She-Ra buzz started fading and I needed something to distract myself from Arcane).

That same year in January was the third time I've ever had a bad experience with a needle in my life up to that point. The nurse was a young guy and didn't know what he was doing, and it left me in some pretty bad pain, that I struggled to shake off as hospitals already make me uncomfortable (liminal space looking ass alchahol scented white buildings), and it kinda cemented an idea that I didn't like them.

Now, I reacted to watching Lily's videos the same way I consume most new media that interests me. I go insane and watch the same shit over and over again, binging everything for like three months, then taking a step back to think about it and take the new media in healthily (damn you ADHD).

This lead to the 2023 blood tests, where I was seated in that stupid fucking hospital cuck chair, waiting for my dad and sibling (Arlo) to finish drawing blood so they could be in the room if something went wrong like it did the previous year (we asked for this, and the first red flag came when the nurse made a comment about me being scared of needles at my age. I wasn't yet, but it was some foreshadowing of her bitchyness I chose to ignore and now regret).

I figured to pass some anxiety, I'd watch one of the YouTube videos I downloaded for cases like this: Show White's in a minute video (along with the rest of the Disney ones in a playlist because they were my brain chew toy of the week).

My dad came in, we were still waiting for Arlo, but the nurse decided just having him there would be enough. I was hit with the sudden appearance of the needle, but kept my cool for a second, until I felt the nurse cutting open a different vein by grazing it and at this point I could feel the panic setting in. And also it FUCKING HURT. My arm was stapped to stop shaking and pop my veins, nurse tried again, and at this point I not only began crying, but Arlo finally came in, and saw I was getting aimlessly stabbed, and suggested I not be.

We took a break and I was layed down on the hospital bed to calm down while the nurse called over a second nurse to help. I paused the video and talked with Arlo a bit to chill, but then kept watching the video when the two nurses came back.

The first nurse made some minor (passive agresses) commentary about it while fondling my arm for a vein, not hearing anything Lily was talking about because I was watching it with wireless earphones in, asking if it was my favourite Disney movie (which it kinda was at the time) (I think ahe just hated how "childish" I was being by crying and thiughg the Disney stuff was part of that) (like I'm only a baby SOMETIMES asshole) but I explained I was watching a YouTube video. You know, talking to try to ignore the fact that I was getting tied to a bed bynthe second nurse at this point.

Then the fucking needle came out again after the small talk was over and I seemed calmer (read: I was not, I'm just good at bullshitting) and they apparently found a good spot.

So now, here I am, fifteen, strapped to a bed by two middle aged ladies who can't find my vein after they JUST HAD IT, complaining about me crying again and calling me a big baby, now trying to find a vein in my HAND (which became my main drawing area this year due to similar complications but with a much more skilled and actually nice nurse, and the back of my hand will continue to be my drawing area unless my wrist opens up a bit) and settled on drawing blood from the side of my wrist, all while Lily fucking Orchard is bitching about Snow White, and Arlo is trying to soothe me while glaring at our dad for doing nothing.

Anyways, I now have panic attacks at the mere mention of drawing blood (yesterday when I was in the ER because we couldn't get a doctor's appointment anywhere else and I am currently dealing with some stomach shit that makes me get heartburn so painful I vomited), and I can't watch her Snow White video (or even the original movie) anymore without becoming deeply uncomfortable and feeling the needles burn in my skin.

It's a shame, I really liked that movie :/

I can't remember exactly, but I was looking for a new muse after retiring several old ones. I wanted a clean slate, a new group of folks to write with and talk to. It was one of those 'right place, right time' kinda things if I recall correctly. Things started slowly at first, but now I know lots of people here!

ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ᴅᴏɴ'ᴛ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴡʀɪᴛᴇ? Sure, lots of things. All of what I don't write involves adult content. But- I think a lot of that is to do with the characters I choose to write. They don't tend to go into those themes and ideas in their canon, so why would I, y'know?

ɪꜱ ᴛʜᴇʀᴇ ᴀɴʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ʏᴏᴜ ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ᴇɴᴊᴏʏ ᴡʀɪᴛɪɴɢ?

I say that, and yet here I'm gonna say I love writing shippy stuff. But hear me out: that applies not just to romance. I apply it to friendships too. Getting to write small moments between two characters where something potentially life-changing can happen just because they talked (lookin' at you Johnny), getting to write little moments that are intimate and vulnerable and pure-hearted... perfection.

Canon is my go-to for this sort of thing always. From there I springboard. I also tend to go down the rabbit hole, researching things when an idea pops into my head. I do enough digging to, I hope, at least create suspense of disbelief if nothing else.

Hi!  I don't know if you already know me from one of my other blogs, but hi, welcome to the party!

My name is Maddie/M (they/them). I’ve been a descendants fan since the first movie and after spending several years obsessing over it with my best friend, building headcanons and creating ocs and brainstorming fic ideas, I finally decided to brave the bigger world of the descendants fandom!  I’m also a long time oc blog where I’ve been posting about descendants ocs for several years now, so while this is not an oc exclusive blog, I will be posting about my ocs here as well as about the general descendants universe!

Fair warning, it been a while since I read the books, I love the movies but they don’t always make the most sense, and I don’t consider Rise Of Red as canon.  I mostly stick to relative-canon and just expand upon what we’re given, but there are a few things that I throw out and other headcanons that I just generally have that will show up throughout everything I come up with!  You totally don’t have to agree with my ideas and I’m always happy to chat or hear about other perspectives, but I know that I stray from canon and I’m not going to stop doing that!

This blog will be run in equal parts by queue and by just posting things when I feel like it – if I can think of a fun queue tag to make it easier to tell those apart then I will tag accordingly, but so far no such tag exists so please be patient if I’m not immediately responsive, I might not be online, I might have gotten busy, or I might have just totally spaced out, please give me a couple of hours to a day before thinking I’m ignoring you!

Fanon

So I’m not going to shit on Fanon, sometimes I absolutely love fanon and I love how passionate the descendants fandom in particular is, especially over characters that have barely any content!  However I spent years developing my personal descendants hcs and ocs in a void with my friend before I even started talking about my descendants ocs on that blog, and even longer before I even tried getting involved in the bigger fandom, and this is part of why!  I fully support everyone’s rights to their own headcanons and I don’t necessarily think that mine are objectively superior, but I’m also not going to change my own take on this universe!  Like I said with canon, I’m always happy to chat and hear about other perspectives and ideas, but I’m going to keep doing my own thing!

I also pull from other Disney franchises that aren’t part of the descendants universe, and I veer on and off from which live action movies I adopt into my canon!

Type Fives seem to be characterized as independent, thoughtful people in their own heads and thoughts. That tracks with what I know of ADHD and your quiet temperament when you become tired, and because of this, I like Huxley with you.

I feel like people can take Fives, like Honey, and mistake their stoic or introverted nature for misanthropy or arrogance; Huxley would know better. He strikes me as a very chill, flexible ambivert, nature thriving in clamor or silence, you know? He’d be a supportive, steady presence by your side- your rock, if you will, which all neurodivergent people could use (I say from experience).

Being with Huxley would be just so perfect, as perfect as a relationship could realistically be. He’s so thoughtful, considerate, and empathetic; he’d be a great person to have around when suffering from dysphoria, always willing to listen and knowing what he can do to help. Since he’s also so chill and so nice and so genuinely interested, he’d love to hear you talk about boyfriend asmr or whatever you might be hyperfixated on. He’d be one of those people who sincerely listens to infodump and becomes an expert on those subjects just to engage with you and what you love.

I’m a sucker for Huxley and songs with growing/nature-centric word choices; what can I say? Huxley strikes me as a chill, acoustic, indie kind of guy who loves some solid, stellar vocals, so this Ben Platt song works well with that. I also love that this is a really realistically romantic song that has a sentiment I could see Huxley expressing, you know? It has this imagery of two people like vines or trees in a relationship, growing together, becoming intertwined, supporting each other over them.

Runner-ups:

Lasko is a runner-up because I’m a Lasko kinnie, I’m autistic so Lasko is autistic, and there’s no cuter ship than the ADHD/Autistic ship, you know? They work! Ollie is a runner up for more legitimate reasons in that he has a lot of the same supportive, sweet traits as Huxley- just not as much.

MONTHLY MEDIA: May 2023

If you notice I haven’t read as much this month, it’s because I got the new Zelda game. But between my vanquishing of evil I still managed to fit in some other media! Here’s how I spent the month of May.

BlackBerry (2023) Having grown up in Waterloo Region I didn’t have any interest in seeing a retelling of the story I mostly knew but this was really great! Surprisingly funny and frenetic and a truly unhinged (in the best way) performance from Glenn Howerton. Good stuff.

John Mulaney: Baby J (2023) I naively thought “I wonder how much this’ll touch on the drug stuff?”... turns out it’s all about the drug stuff. Cool that he was talking about it so openly, and made it so funny, but I wonder if there was more material that got cut? Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) You know I haven’t been interested in the last few Marvel movies but this one felt like it was going to be different..and it was! So many moving parts but I never had trouble keeping track of character motivations or story beats and the whole thing was really beautiful. I mean even the really gross stuff was fun to watch. Keen to go back and watch this as a trilogy down the road.

The Suicide Squad (2021) I was excited to see Guardians of the Galaxy so at the start of the month I rewatched this. Still impressed at how this can be equal parts a gross out dick joke movie and also built on a foundation of community and family. Builds well, nothing feels repetitive, and the finale doesn’t overstay its welcome. Really great stuff.

The Bear (Episode 1.01 to 1.03) Never have I felt so stressed watching television. Really captivating episodes and I’m very excited to watch more.

Ted Lasso (Episode 3.08 to 3.10) Maybe it’s the time away from season 1 and 2, or maybe something happened behind the scenes, but season 3 feels different. Some eps really hit, and even some moments within those other episodes, but it all feels rather unfocused. Maybe it’ll stick the landing but my confidence has been shaken.

The Most Hated Man on the Internet (Episode 1.01 to 1.03) Perfectly paced. Just enough detail to get invested but after 3 eps it felt like I experienced the full journey. Really interested to see the public’s perception of revenge porn shift over time and I can only assume this website (and its founder) played a part in that.

The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion by Jonathan Haidt (Page 165 of 500) The first time I read this, it really helped me understand the perspective some folks take on divisive topics. There was a sort of comfort to finally seeing what they’re seeing. In rereading this, I find myself getting angered while reading. The book is over 10 years old and while still relevant, it often feels quaint when talking about the widening gap between political parties. Its neutrality feels almost naive to me? Maybe I’ve forgotten a key chapter that helps.

The Fade Out by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips (It doesn’t have page numbers...maybe 1/3 of the way through) Murder in old hollywood is just so cool. I’m really digging this so far and the art, characters, and pacing feel thoroughly natural. Every reveal is just so casual cause to these characters, it’s just their lives, and I love that. Big fan so far.

Ultimate Spider-Man Volume 8 by by Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Bagley, and more (Complete) I always liked the smaller stories in this volume that focused on Peter’s personal life...like break-ups and dating other superheroes and stuff. But for some reason the Jean DeWolff/Kingpin/Moon Knight stuff always just felt kinda rushed? I dunno maybe I like everything to be a little more fantastical or suuuuuuper mundane. None of this in-between shenanigans. Give me highschool or give me death.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Nintendo) So good. I walked past a house that was redoing their driveway and had a bunch of construction stuff covered in a tarp and I immediately thought “hmm I wonder what I could build” and that...is the sign that I’ve played this game too much. Big fan 10/10 change nothing.

Oz: A Fantasy Role-Playing Setting (Andrews McMeel Publishing) The Mof1 Crew did some downtime planning ahead of a heist/attack combo that worked out pretty well! We played out events in weeks instead of in real time (for both the players and their enemies) and it worked pretty well!

Neverland: A Fantasy Role-Playing Setting (Andrews McMeel Publishing) The group is still navigating a rival adventuring party on the island and seeing what happens now that they’ve let their star-collecting duties slip. Big trouble. You can read about it here.

last weekend I went to the movies with my sister and my best friend that i haven’t seen in 4 years and girl-

we watched three movies, THREE

-the little mermaid

-spider-man

-guardians of the galaxy

omg i was crying so much, like i already knew i was going to cry with the little mermaid cause it’s one of my fave Disney movies and also since the first trailer dropped i cried when halley sang so i knEW i was gonna be bawling and yup. movie started, literally the title appeared and i cried like im pretty sure the rare moments were the ones where i wasn’t crying (loved it 🫶🏻)

spiderman was sooooo cool, i already loved the first one but man this was soooo good and the soundtrack? slay

and to finish, guardians of the galaxy FUCKED ME UP like, i’ve seen clips of people just saying that you cry a lot and in general it’s one of the best marvel movies recently and i was very excited about this cause I’ve been a big big MCU/MARVEL fan since the beginning but after end game i only watched a couple of them and honestly only loved a few but this one seriously it’s amazing, a masterpiece and i refuse to watch it a second time cause it’s just going to mentally hurt me even more, but seriously it did not disappoint

i also made my friend watch both taylor swift movies and it was awesome, he also listened to folklore for the first time and his favorite was mirrorball (mines are august, illicit affairs and the lakes)

right now im actually home alone for the weekend, one of my sisters friend from high school graduated an she invited her to the ceremony and after party and even though it was okay for me to come i decided to stay home and just have “me time” which has been mostly watching films and YouTube videos lol

also there’s this asmr creator that i love, ediyasmr and this week she did two tarot reading and omg i never felt so “seen” or “heard” with a reading 🥹💓 it was very reassuring and a wholesome time for me haha

i feel like it’s a time for change in my life and path so a lot of craziness and also tranquility in my life going on ( i hope it’s not weirding you out lol) but the good one of craziness I guess ^^

do you like taylor? (if yes what’s your favorite song/album) - yes, i do like taylor. i think some of my favorite albums by her are speak now, fearless, and of course midnights is so good!! i also loved folklore. my favorite song by her is definitely enchanted or love story but also lavender haze is so good!!

do you believe in tarot readings and all that stuff? - i believe in all of it, there was a time where i spent a lot of time practicing tarot and learning astrology (i'm still big on astrology but not so much tarot, i still have the cards though!) i really enjoy watching readings and doing my own, i feel like it resonates with me extremely well, and i'm glad you were able to relate to one on youtube!

I went to the CD store today and I bought a bunch of stuff! (probably too much lol)

most notably a 2-in-1 DVD of The General and Steamboat Bill, Jr.! I'm VERY surprised and excited to have found Buster Keaton films there. Silent films are like... not usually out and about? People who have physical copies often had to buy them online and don't resell them. I'm guessing these aren't great copies, but my other on-hand option is watching them on youtube so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (there were also several Chaplin DVDs but. no thank you.)

I also got the Criterion release of Hiroshima Mon Amour. I've been wanting to see it for ages and just never had any chance to, but now I'm obligated to sit and watch.

as for CDs!!!!! at first I wasn't finding anything that connected with me, but! then I came across Haunted by Poe, which I thought would be great to have a copy of. it's the companion album to House of Leaves, and I've listened to it before online. (on that note, I also wanna get The Whalestoe Letters, maybe order it after I move.)

I got Hard Candy by Madonna, mostly bc it was buy-1-get-1 and I wanted to get something by her, idk.

Then the free album I got alongside that was The Big Room by M2M. I know only 1 thing about M2M, which is that they had a song in the 1st Pokemon movie (Don't Say You Love Me). literally since like 1999 I've had this Pikachu-yellow single CD that just has Don't Say You Love Me and then just one instrumental piece. it's not even the real soundtrack to the movie. so wtf. anyway. M2M is apparently Norweigan?

then I got a greatest hits collection from Fatboy Slim :) it's called Why Try Harder and has Christopher Walken from the Weapon of Choice video on the cover.

also anyone that buys something at this store gets to pick a free CD or DVD from the free. so I picked a Celtic Woman album, bc I always liked hearing the Celtic music groups during the PBS pledge drives. fun surprise!

anyway I'm so happy to have gone. we also got coffee twice today (not starbucks!) and took care of some errands. lately we've been only leaving the house for appointments and obligations so it was nice having a day out.

Dam I just realized I've been on a stuff watching fiend the last couple of days, like normally on average I watch like, maybe 2 full anime per month, if even that, and like, 1 normal person movie (debatable) per like, 1 or 2 years (I watch very few films), but I've watched way more in the last 3 days alone than in some entire years. I've watched like, 2 movies (which is a BIG number) and like, 7 anime (counting individual seasons separately), and I have like 3 more anime started (that I will NOT finish for a long time because too long :pensive:). I've been reasonably productive too, I've just actually used my non-productive time watching stuff instead of the usual spending 10 hours trying to decide what to do with my life.

I watched mooovie, movie good, movie cool, I watched Wild Zero, a trans classic the only thing I knew about it beforehand was the iconic scene, and pretty much the only thing I know after is the iconic scene and like, the word fuck! It wasn't bad at all but like, there was too much going on I could not at all keep up with it, which to be fair I was watching it only like 20% conscious but I think even if I was fully aware I still would barely know what was going on. Like I could probably kinda give a plot synopsis if someone forced me to at two gunpoints but it probably wouldn't be very accurate, but like Guitar Wolf is kinda a funny existence. I felt like I needed to watch it at least once, like I hear about it all the time, for the obvious reasons but also just because of it being a fun movie, and it was, it was fun I enjoyed it, definitely worth watching even if the plot was a bit everywhere, would recommend.

I HAVE WATCHED FREDDY GOT FINGERED TWICE IN THE LAST 24 HOURS, I HAVE INADVERTENTLY STARTED A DOMINO OF EVERYONE IN A DISCORD GROUP CHAT ASKING "can I see it too? :taps_fingers_together: I HAVE HAD TO SIT THROUGH THIS FILM TWICE IN LESS THAN 1 FULL 24 HOUR PERIOD AND IT IS ENTIRELY MY OWN FUCKING FAULT!

I traumatized someone :) it's fine tho they deserved it, he uhh idk he probably did something to deserve it at some point. Genuinely one of the worst movies I have ever watched, but like in a way that's kinda fascinating and like interesting and kinda worth it despite it being horrible and awful and arguably traumatizing and bad and generally just not a good thing to watch. Like it's horrible in such a specific way where it kinda integer underflows into being fascinating and great and fantastic and one of my favorite movies but also easily my least favorite movie and I hate it and it's awful and I would never recommend anyone ever watch despite that I have convinced several people to watch it over the years, in most cases literally by telling them NOT to watch it, which I actually should've known would just do the opposite, like I literally sometimes recommend people to watch stuff by telling them not to watch it cuz i know that'll make them watch it out of spite BUT LIKE THIS IS THE ONE EXCEPTION TO THAT I LIKE ACTUALLY MEAN IT WITH THIS ONE!!! I have like no way of describing my feelings on that movie, aside from just, I hate it, it creates a feeling no other piece of media can or ever will, and I also don't want any other piece of media too because it's overall a not fantastic feeling but also it is nonetheless unique. My friend said after watching it that he "reached a zen" after finishing it, like it just does that, it just incites feelings nothing else can, for better or worse, mostly, entirely for worse tho. It's not quite as enriching or valuable as Kony 2020 IT'S NOT ON YOUTUBE ANYMORE IT'S GONE NOOOO KONY 2020 IS SO GOOD IT'S A CLASSIC! ICONIC!! good thing I have it saved as an mp4, now I can forever watch it and nobody else ever can, only me >:). I watch Red Letter Media like, super infrequently, like maybe one video per 3 years, but like their video on Freddy Got Fazbear'd is the only breakdown of that film that I agree with at all, like it's pretty much just an hour of them saying "things happened" and that really is the only way to describe the movie, things happen, and those things are awful, but like in a cool way, but also not in a cool way, rather an awful way, but like, in a cool way, in a unique way. Don't even watch the movie just watch that video there's not any extra value anyone could get from the movie itself

ANIME ANIME ANIME FOMO FOMO FOMO I need to get away from that fucking movie as quickly as possible I LOVE IKA MUSUME IT'S SO GOOD IT'S SO CUTE!!!! Very-Azumanga Daioh-core, but more my sense of humor, more unhinged, less slow, more Azumanga Daioh-YTP-core than actual Azumanga Daioh-core. But like I like it's really fun, it's funny, it's cute, I really like the characters and it works as an extremely good palette-cleanser after watching trauma film! Easily the best part of it are the characters, like I don't think there's a single character I dislike, even the types of characters I don't usually like, like Kuroko, I hate Kuroko, fuck Kuroko, but like the Kuroko-like character in Ika Musume was like, my 2nd favorite character, Sanae is great coughs up a little blood. Nagisa is definitely my favorite, her fear of Ika is so over the top, it's really unfortunate that she has like, no screentime in the 2nd season, like she's involved in maybe 2 bits for the entire season, and they're really good bits, but they're so few and far between. The top MIT graduates are also really good, every single bit with them is so fucking stupid, also I was watching the dub for most of it but occasionally switched to sub for certain episodes and I was very surprised that three stooges is what they're actually called even in japanese, but yea they're funny I like when the old one hits his special volleyball and breaks his hand. They graduated at the top of their class, they're top MIT graduates... Ika Musume is pretty good I like it it's pretty great I have thoughts about it and words to say about it, yeagh AW FUCK MASSIVE MISSED OPPORTUNITY TO JUST SAY SQUID PUNS THROUGH THIS ENTIRE SECTION IT WOULD'VE BEEN SO FITTING well too late now too eepy to put any actual effort into bits zzzzzzz
