NGL I kinda wanna explore the thought of BBH dying and coming back different.

I don't want him to do it in canon because although it'd be interesting I feel like it might mess with his Grim Reaper lore, but it depends on how he wants to play it out.

But what I want to explore is him coming back, basically reset. It's Badboy from the beginning of the QSMP but that means no more Dapper or Pomme or anyone. He doesn't remember anyone, not the French, not the Brazilians, not any of the eggs. No one but maybe Foolish and of course Skeppy.

It completely disregards their history on the island but I wanna explore that. I am the biggest fan of coming back wrong. Except this really isn't him coming back wrong but just... the badboyhalo they knew is not coming back, he is dead and this new badboyhalo is him but also not because he doesn't have and of the history their Bad did. This Badboyhalo is starting back at day 1 while everyone else is on day 210 but he's wearing the face of their dead friend. He both simultaneously their friend but not.

Sometimes they'll look at him and see the Badboy and then they'll say or do something and for a split second they forget, because he's physically right there but then he doesn't respond how they expect and it's the grief all over again. They can't look at him. How many of them would get upset with Bad? How would they respond? Grief makes you behave different so I can see a lot of different characters acting differently. Maybe most of them just brush it off, thinking Bad just needs to remember, that their Badboy is in there somewhere and they just need to keep spending time with him and pushing him to remember.

And then how would Bad take it? He's a part time grim reaper, he's intimately familiar with death, with moving on and how this is suppose to go. I think he somehow knows that the Bad they knew is gone gone. He's not coming back but what does that mean for him? Is he a real badboyhalo? Was that other Badboy real? Does he get close to them? Or does he try to distance himself from them because technically these are not his friends or family. Does he try to pretend that he knows them? Does he try and pretend that he is the Badboyhalo they knew?

Just coming back wrong but not, instead just coming back different, coming back new when everyone else around you is worn down, when you yourself were worn down but now that's been erased. Erased and gone, not a trace to be found and how unfair that would be. All of that wear gone from you not a single evidence of it having happened, but everyone around you wear the marks and connection. How unfair would that be, how hard it would be to deal with Badboy. HRGH I really wanna write a story like this just because the concept is so interesting. He's coming back wrong and different but not. He's just not coming back as their badboyhalo but maybe thats worse than not coming back at all.

I think a really fun idea to explore with Tim would be the idea of him having Hyperthymesia.

Hyperthymesia is an ability that allows people to recall almost every event of their life in great detail. It's extremely rare and honestly doesn't have that much research done on it, but recent studies have suggested that people with this ability are limited to autobiographical memories, people with HSAM sometime tend to show symptoms of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and may demonstrate obsessive tendencies.

I think it would be an interesting way to explain why Tim was able to recall his first meeting with Dick Grayson and connect the dots to seeing Robin. Tim does display a lot of obsessive behaviours, and while he doesn't really physically display compulsion (like someone with OCD would typically display) there certainly is a strong case to be made for him potentially having it.

But also, can you imagine how fucking horrible it would be for Tim to remember each and every traumatic thing that ever happens to him as a hero and those memories just never fading. Yes, it would make him a better detective and allow him to be arguably smarter than your average joe, but at what cost?

wait speaking of getting isekia'd via truck, a couple weeks back me and a friend on were talking abt portal fantasy/isekai tropes (mostly bc i was infodumping abt rz again), and it made me think abt a fun concept for an ocverse. tho its possible similar things have been done obvs with just how inflated the genre is, just hear me out OK

story starts in the normal world, with a typical Nerdy Guy going about his daily life, expositing about how he feels bored and longs for adventure and magic, just like in all of his favorite media. as he's crossing the street, distracted by his mobile game, he doesn't notice The Truck(tm) coming straight towards him. except he's not hit by it- he's pushed out of the way in the last second, saved by a passing girl who gets hit in his place. this is who the story is about now.

mc gets sent to that sort of intermediary dimension that some isekai have, where she meets the Goddess Lady or whatever that was in charge of the whole isekai situation. goddess lady proceeds to freak out, because she nabbed the wrong person, and she's going to be in SO MUCH TROUBLE. she starts questioning the mc, only to find out that this kid has a good social life, does well in school, is in sports, and has barely ever played a video game. basically the opposite of the socially introverted, underachieving, repressed, genre-aware guy she was supposed to have reincarnated. for the sake of fulfilling somekinda hero prophesy or whatever. and the mc kinda bargains to be sent to the fantasy world anyway bc, well, its that or death i guess. so the two of them kinda have to team up to course-correct this mix-up.

mc is kinda given a list of tasks to do that basically mirror how a typical story like this Would Go, expected to fall in line with the tropes in order to achieve the ultimate goal, but kinda ends up failing at all of them... or not? failing backwards, maybe. doing it in a way different from how its meant to go- using the wrong formula, but somehow getting the right solution. while sort of continuing to question the insanity of the whole situation, and the nature of this whole fantasy world. just fucking up all the tropes.

but a layer i'd wanna add on top of all that is the fact that the hero prophesy (or whatever) called for a man. so upon arriving to this new world, the mc is basically put into a "gender swapped" body and... doesnt seem to mind. this isnt an uncommon isekai trope either, but i hardly see it tackled with much care to really explore whole Gender Thing beyond gags about the "mismatch" (which can be in poor taste) or the conclusion that "well because their Body is now this gender, their gender identity changes to match" which i feel is a pretty shallow and binary take-away to draw abt bodies and identity.

but i think there can be more to explore w the prospect if you actually wanna get into gender stuff. in this case, i'd particularly wanna get into the idea of imposter syndrome. the main character was not MEANT to be... the main character. seen as a phony fighting tooth and nail to meet expectations, and constantly fumbling. not a real hero, or a real man. but its meant to be an act anyway, so why does that bother her? it was like that back on earth too, trying as hard as possible to be the perfect girl. a good social life, does well in school, is in sports.... but that good girl thing always felt fake too. or desperate. what was she trying to prove? how long as this BEEN bothering her, actually? why does it feel easier to breathe in this body, despite everything? the way this whole act makes her happy is scary, because its fake isn't it? but wait, which part was fake? the before or after? is it all fake? isn't this all just a mistake?

was it really a mistake? who is more heroic; a guy too focused on a mobile game to pay attention to those around him, or the person who risked their life to save a stranger? but the hero prophesy was for a "man," right? what does that even mean?

I am,, so upset, there’s one aspect I’m obsessed with from Rick and Morty that the fandom doesn’t even explore and I don’t know where else to get that specific thing

The thing I’m obsessed with is this idea that in this citadel area, there’s always a Rick and Morty, maybe some other family members, but never ever a Diane, like she’s cursed to die young in most of them or something, she just never makes it to the citadel

Until one day, they find a Rickless Diane and bring her to the citadel (there could be a lot of different reasons why this one is here, but the reason I’ve been defaulting to is that she’s from outside the curve, is the smartest of her universe, and broke into the curve to see if there was anything fun in it, she doesn’t tell anyone she has her own portal tech or where she came from, they’re just like “oh my god this poor Diane with no Rick we have to interfere)

And I just wanna know how that would go, would the Ricks like her? would they hate seeing her because of the memories it brings up about their Dianes? she’d definitely have to worry about some Ricks trying to use her to replace their dead wives, and then what of the Mortys? I feel like organic Mortys might not take to her as easily, but cloned Mortys and the like who don’t actually have a grandma Diane would be excited to meet her

I just keep rotating it around in my mind, currently thinking about her working with a Rick who’s developed a crush on her, but she can’t be certain that he’s not just mentally using her as a replacement for a Diane he used to be with so she ignores it

The closest thing I can think of would be Gwen in atsv, but it doesn’t really fit the bill, because the Citadel has a specific type of alternate Ricks and Mortys, whereas Gwen runs into waaaay more varieties of Spiderpeople and they’re not even all versions of Peter Parker so she can easily surround herself with people who have never dated a version of her, and she doesn’t have to see a version of a child/grandchild that happened in so many universes except hers

Ruby really just fucking went into the Ever After finding out just how badly all of her plan with Amity and getting help fast failed on top of the knowledge that she will always be a target for Salem to Grimmify her or worse for the rest of her life and also the way she has NO idea whether her mom is dead or worse anymore and having it left up to her imagination. AND on top of finding out that Atlas fell and so many people died and in the end it was quite literally all for nothing. AND on top of that Penny died anyway despite the fact that everything that she’d ever wanted (finally being seen as more than just a war machine and making new friends) was finally coming true. Everything has well and truly gone to all shit possible in her mind, Penny dying wasn’t even a last straw for her it was like half the payload getting dropped on her at maximum velocity. I’m gonna go to bed <3

Ronnie can feel ill.

This man is immortal, everlasting, forever… and not human. He can't get sick like we can, but he can become incredibly unwell.

When that happens, his body starts shutting down and forcing him to rest, so the rest of the staff will find him draped over the front desk like some spindly cat thing. They're used to this happening, because they know Ronnie. They've been working with him on a daily basis for hell knows how long.

So one of them will be like: "Damn what's going on with the boss man?"

And another one of them will be like: "Oh, he just got sick."

And the first guy will be like: "Ah, man! Again? That's rough."

Because that's not a good thing when that happens, on account of The Alius-Mirage Hotel being alive and unfriendly.

(This has been edited to reflect this fictional hotel's new name, seeing as I found out the old one I was using belonged to an already existing hotel, and I didn't want to cause trouble in the long run. Plus... what they call this thing for short is kinda funny when you think about it.)

Ronnie's been working with this hotel longer than his staff have been, he's really the only one The AM listens to and trusts. He knows how to calm it down, especially if it starts putting any human guests in a lot more danger than they tend to put themselves in.

The AM doesn't like humans as much, if not more so than Ronnie does. But Ronnie treats them like mischievous cats he needs to keep at arm's length, to prevent from getting attached. He hates them for their antics. They're endearing, sure. But they're annoying, because that's how they keep getting in trouble.

And having to help them out carries the risk of caring for them, maybe even loving them. They're not the target audience for this hotel. They were never supposed to come here. They rarely ever come back, if at all. It's better to stay distant.

The AM, on the other hand, thinks of humans little more as vicious pests because of their antics. Always ignoring Ronnie's rules, not listening to him and getting themselves in trouble through exploring and getting in places they shouldn't!

They're not even supposed to be here! Why should she keep these little flimsy things safe? The AM will listen to Ronnie, but she'll still let humans know she hates them… and she finds there's a chance to squash these creatures? She'll take that chance, no matter how much it may upset Ronnie when she does.

Ronnie feeling some semblance of sick means that The AM has more of a chance to do what it pleases with these humans, right under his nose. Without his input, or ability to talk it out of such a thing… well. These humans are in more danger than they would've been without him.

Basically, this ugly ass man can't keep these dumbass fleshbags safe because he's passed out on the floor, and this freaky living hotel is giving said fleshbags a massive "fuck you" by pulling an AM.
