One thing about the Lenora shootout I can’t stop thinking about and haven’t seen people discussing much (or maybe they have, idk, I’m new here) is how that experience will affect the characters. They were EXTREMELY lucky to get out of that house unscathed. (Of course they’re just fictional characters who have plot armour but let’s pretend for a moment that they’re in the real world.) One wrong move & they would probably all be dead. That is terrifying to think about to me.
And even though the whole thing lasted what, three minutes (?), that shit traumatises you. You don’t feel particularly terrified in the moments directly after because of the adrenaline but it follows you. I can attest to that as someone who has been around military gun violence and has had guns pointed at me. I’m so lucky and grateful to be out of that situation now, but man, did that fuck me up. I still get debilitating nightmares even years later, and I still flinch at the slightest loud noises that resemble a gunshot. Even watching that scene last year was extremely difficult for me. So I can’t imagine what the characters must be feeling after being in such a traumatic shootout.
Not to mention, that is probably (?) the most “human” threat the characters have faced yet. Not an inter-dimensional monster, not flayed people, but just pure human violence, which makes the danger so much more real. Gun violence is such a commonplace thing in media, and while some of it affects me more than others, this instance is probably the most scared I’ve been because of how much I care about these characters.
I know they probably won’t, but I hope they explore Jonathan, Will, Mike and Argyle’s PTSD following the incident in S5 in some way. Because I do think that it would definitely affect them. I would love to see how it affects Jonathan, who immediately tried to protect Will & Mike. How he probably has nightmares where he failed to protect them. How scared for their lives Will & Mike must have felt and the conversations they would have about it. And poor Argyle getting wrapped up in it all and having a man die in his van.
Rant over.

I can't get over that last scene from this episode. that long pause where sam was quietly grabbing a drink and you could barely hear celia talking to jack as she put him to bed in the other room. nothing was happening in that moment that needed to be recorded. no terrible events no big revelations. just sam and celia quietly going about their lives, sharing a domestic moment.
as something watched and listened. and we don't know why it's listening.

Ok my first reaction was I didn’t like how the dragons disobeyed their riders like that, but after thinking about it I think it’s kinda brilliant when it comes to the behaviors of dragons.
First, both Arrax and Luke were really young and had absolutely zero combat experience. As soon as they saw Vhagar, it’s very obvious they simultaneously became a lot more tense. Then after Luke had his encounter with Aemond and left you can see Arrax looking in the direction of where Vhagar was in clear distress and Luke does the same thing before mounting. Luke realized their anxiety was high and he did his best to calm Arrax down before taking flight, but that all went out the window as soon as Vhagar gave chase. Now you have a child and a very young and small dragon that are bonded together in a very scary situation: being chased down by a behemoth in the middle of a raging storm (poor Arrax was flapping his wings as hard as he could) I personally think Arrax went on the offense to try and protect both himself and Luke, if only to give them a chance to escape. Both of them did the best they could.
Then you have Vhagar, an extremely old, massive, experienced dragon that is bonded to an inexperienced rider who is feeling a lot of unhinged rage and resentment. They were flying in attack maneuvers ffs I doubt she thought it was a game. And then this little dragon has the audacity to breathe fire in her face. Of course she’s not going to deal with that shit, as utterly tragic as her response is.
At the end of the day, dragons are not mindless war machines that will obey every command. They’re very powerful animals. No matter how trained or bonded with their owners they are, very powerful animals can and will do what they want.

If you could completely remove a character from the series, who would it be? Would another character take their place?
gray wing.
Or even just kill him instead of Shaded Moss, have HIM originally been the leader of the Sundrown Patrol and after his death, all these cats start invoking his name like a god.
"I do this in the name of Gray Wing the Wise."
"As Gray Wing the Wise once said..."
"Gray Wing the Wise wouldn't have approved of this."
And Thunder would have known him like this ancient, wise sage... and been frustrated by it. He doesn't KNOW this guy, but apparently he was a god among cats, and everyone thinks he was on THEIR side. But all Thunder sees, looking at a sea of heartless tyrants and selfish cats clawing each other in the back, is people who make their choices first and then use his sacred name to justify them afterwards.
and the SHOCKKKKK on all their FACES during the First Battle, when Gray Wing comes down from the stars himself, and tells all of them, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY NAME?!" the VINDICATION for Thunder when this God Among Cats turns to him and says, "You. You are the one who has followed my teachings-- by questioning them, by challenging those who misspoke. This is wisdom."
Bright Stream would take all the roles of Gray Wing in-canon and have an arc about realizing that she was defending her abuser. And been Thunder's single mom.

“For fuck's sake, I said seven a.m., did I not? I did. I definitely said seven so we didn’t lose valuable time, and it’s…” Temari checked her watch. “Fuck — Shikamaru, it’s almost nine ! You realise that’s almost two hours we’ve lost because of you, and you don’t even look rested. Are you rested? What use are you if you’re not rested? You know, I always thought Danya was being a jealous little bitch when he said you were lazy, but he wasn’t, was he? He was right.”
Shikamaru blinked slowly, processing Temari’s words, his hand still paused in the air from where he’d knocked.
“Anyway, come on,” Temari urged. “Whether you’re going to strategise or fuck me first, you can’t do either from the doorway. Come on, come in.”
She tugged him inside and kicked shut the door.'
