You know it’s been a million years and I’m still so mad that BioWare made Javik, a soldier who was born in a time where he was allowed no time for tenderness, a creature born just to be a soldier, bought him in at the point where Shepard is having a crisis of faith, a moment of doubt, gave him all of those incredibly intimate moments of sharing the burden of being the only hope, the last stand, of what it means to have to carve away what makes you a person to leave only a soldier…
And not only didn’t make him romancable but made a joke sex scene with him?
Freeing myself from the shackles of an organized comic format to get this idea out of my head!! Also, just follow the numbers if the layout is too confusing otherwise, but basically I want Spectra to be Jazz's Nemesis so bad. It just makes sense.
SO: the hypothetical episode's showdown would be them battling, and no Danny, he's already got beef with a packers obsessed billionaire. Now, Spectra's got the high ground with overwhelming power, but she's sloppier and easily irritated because of it! Jazz then outsmarts her, getting her angry enough to make enough mistakes to be corned and canned by the thermos.
Also minor spelling error ugh, meant to put "no one could", not "no could".
young royals is the perfect example of a tv show that a) knew how to handle several plotlines without any of them feeling pointless, b) pulled off such a devastating romance that it had me crying or yelling nearly every episode, and c) knew exactly when to stop to wrap up their story perfectly and on their own terms
(check the tags for more and also the tag for other fics in the story!)
athena, scowling as she gets bullied into marrying the people she pined over for the last 1000 years, suddenly realising something: wait a minute
odysseus: what?
athena, frozen: wait a damn minute you know what this gives me rights to do
penelope, also realising: oh fuck yes
odysseus: I don't like the sound of whatever's happening here what are you two fucking talking about?
athena, grabbing the marriage wine and tossing it back, then kissing her new wife and husband and handing penelope a spear as she picks up a mace: we'll be back shortly, you can start celebrations without us.
penelope: do u have anything that can start a fire
athena, pulling out an old contract and scanning it before throwing it over her shoulder: yes. are you scared of heights or can we fly.
penelope: fucking bring it I've waited years for this moment
zeus: where are they going
hermes, picking up the contract: they're going to... Ogygia? Oh fucking shit they're going to fucking kill Calypso- hey, hello, WAIT-

As a superhero comics fan I’m so mad at what Marvel movies have done to the superhero genre. Like. They’re so BLAND. The joy of a superhero movie should be going in, seeing something unexpected and polarizing and different from everything else you’ve seen. Individual superhero movies should lean hard into horror or disco or urban fantasy or science fiction!! That should not all be the same quip-filled bland action movies that all sort of blur together into an acceptable but unappealing mush. They should take risks and look different and feel different and really explode the possibilities of cinema! And yet they don’t, and everyone’s notion of what a “superhero movie” should be is twisted by the horribly bland stuff Marvel keeps putting out.
Pfft just remembered that after Babs insinuated she could be the reason for Jason to stick around in Gotham, Jason denied it, and when Babs asked why, Jason said, "Because, Barb, it's like you said... I'll never be Dick Grayson."
For all of its problems, there are still things I truly enjoy about Multiverse of Madness. Things that reflect some of Stephen's best qualities. Like his complete and immediate willingness to sacrifice his life, and even his own soul, to protect even just one other person.
We've seen this quality over and over on his MCU journey ~ and though it's a completely thankless job, he never hesitates. What the Ancient One properly called his capacity for goodness.
And the absolute brilliance and flexibility of his beautiful mind - coupled with the magic that he's built far beyond what he learned in Kamar-Taj. Dreamwalking into his own, dead Variant!
Seizing the Souls of the Damned and fashioning them into a Cloak to fly him across to Wundagore...and then using them to entrap Wanda (enough to slow her down, anyway)! Show me another MCU Sorcerer with that same ability to think out of the box and such incredible magic; magic worthy of the Sorcerer Supreme in any universe.
