Ok but the entire season was leading up and showing us that while Crowley knows he’s lying and fucking up the plan, Aziraphale still thinks he’s mostly doing the right thing! He has been actively working against the “divine plan” almost since he met Crowley but Crowley has shielded him completely from the knowledge that he’s doing it.
Because Crowley takes the blame and lets Aziraphale think he’s doing the Good thing, Aziraphale still thinks he’s been doing heaven’s work. Aziraphale believes that he’s just doing it all in a slightly different way rather than totally fucking things up and lying and going against everything he’s supposed to do. Crowley knows it. Crowley has been fully aware of his own path and he knows what Aziraphale feels and thinks as well and he also KNOWS that despite his doubts Aziraphale cares too much about being Right and Good and Heavenly. And because Crowley loves him and knows what it is to lose his own faith he has been protecting Aziraphale from that the whole time by taking responsibility for “tempting” the Angel into things he already wanted to do anyway.
Of course Aziraphale thinks he can change Heaven. He doesn’t even know that he’s been defying them so badly. He hasn’t had to confront it. Crowley didn’t even tell him he’d be fully erased from existence for helping Gabriel. He doesn’t know that he has been off heaven’s side for a very long time. Aziraphale trusted Crowley so much that he doesn’t realize Crowley has been twisting the truth this whole time to make him feel better about doing the wrong thing. And it backfires because Crowley assumes Aziraphale knows the truth of his own actions.
It’s ok I’m just screaming.

Using Reverse Psychology On The Demon Bros
Warnings/Genres: manipulation(in a cute way, kinda?), mentions of diets (only in Beel’s part) fluff, crack
I feel like all the Brothers would fall for reverse psychology so easily. I don’t think MC would purposely try to manipulate them (at least not all the time), they would just say things that happen to make the brothers suddenly want to help them lol
Tumblr media
Lucifer
-He’s literally the avatar of pride, if you wound his pride he’d be quick to try and prove you wrong
-MC: Lucifer can you help me with my potions homework?
-Lucifer: MC, can’t you see I'm extremely busy with paperwork for Lord Diavolo so that will have to wait for now
-MC: Fine, I guess I'll just go ask Satan, he’s the smart one anyway… *turns to leave *
-Lucifer: *is instantly standing in front of you within half a second looking all flustered and grabs your notebook from you* Let me take a look at that for you
Mammon:
-Even tho he’s a Simp for you he’s also a bit lazy so you’ll need to ask him multiple times for help when it comes to any type of hard work.
-MC: Mammon, can you help me carry some boxes from the attic Lucifer says we need to start getting rid of some of the useless junk up there.
-Mammon: Nah I got better things to do than menial labour for Lucifer
-MC: ok I guess I‘ll ask Beel to help, He can probably carry all the boxes in one trip, we’d get it done so quickly ☺️
-cue Mammon zooming up to the attic trying to stack all the boxes to prove that he can lift way more than his little brother.
Levi:
-Levi would definitely be the easiest to trick with this since he’s already constantly jealous of his brothers anytime they spend time with you.
-MC: Levi it’s my day to cook dinner do you want to come shopping for the ingredients with me?
-Levi: Sorry MC I’m on hour 9 of rewatching TSL, plus it's too bright outside. Why don’t you pull up a cushion and we can watch it together?
-MC: Oh that's ok I guess I'll go ask as Asmo, he’s been wanting to take me out on a date anyway *You close his door and start walking down the hall to Asmo’s room
-Levi: D..D..D.. Date! Wait MC no I’ll take you, I didn’t realize you were asking me out on a date, wait please come back!
Satan:
-I feel like he would also get jealous really quickly. Especially if you bring up Lucifer he would go full-on rage mode. Basically, anything that works on Lucifer will work on him too.
-MC: *pointing to one of the many books in his room* can I read that one? it looks cool.
-Satan: No MC it's cursed you could get hurt
-MC: ok *walks away*
-later MC is on the couch reading a book they borrowed from Lucifer
-Satan: *sees you reading the book Lucifer recommended, runs to his room to get the cursed book you wanted to read earlier* wait MC read this instead !!!!
-MC: but you said it was cursed
-Satan: it's fine I’ll figure out how to cure you just drop that other book NOW!
Asmo:
-Asmo would definitely get upset if you complimented someone else
-he wants to be the only one MC goes to for beauty advice
-MC: Asmo can you share your skincare routine with me?
-Asmo: My dear MC I can't just give away my secrets to looking this gorgeous *walks away*
-later at RAD
-MC talking to Simeon: Wow Simeon your skin is positively glowing what products do you use, you’re so beautiful!
-Simeon: *blushing* oh, let me show you, I use…
-Asmo who had been eavesdropping: *Grabs MC’s arm* MC why don’t we head home I have to show you how gorgeous I look when I’m doing my skincare routine!
Beel:
-I don’t wanna be cliche but reverse psychology would only work on Beel if it was about food
-Beel is always ready to help so there wouldn’t be too many situations where you’d get to use reverse psychology on him. Like if you asked him to help carry something he would do it, no questions asked.
- but if you wanted some of his food, especially if it was something special that he’s been looking forward to it might be a bit difficult.
-MC forgot their lunch and saw Beel eating in the cafeteria: Beel can I have some of your food it looks really good!
-Beel: *looks at MC and then looks at his food* uh this is the limited edition Goliath Hellfire pizza from Hell’s Kitchen each customer is only allowed to purchase 1 in their entire lifetime.
-MC: oh it's okay I just hadn’t had lunch today, I guess I can just go ask Asmo for some of his lunch
-Beel: *Grabs MC’s wrist to stop them from leaving* Asmo is on a diet again so there’s no way he has enough for both of you to get enough, here MC have some of mine *sits MC down and  hands them a slice of pizza that's almost double the size of their body
(this one was a stretch cuz I feel like Beel would have given MC some food anyway but I couldn’t think of anything for him, but I also didn't want to leave him out)
Belphie:
-He is the definition of unbothered he doesn’t care if you go out with the others cuz he’s too lazy to go out but also he knows the moment you sit down he can just fall asleep on you and now you’re stuck with him
-but other than that I think he’d be just a little possessive of his nap stuff tho like blankets pillows etc…
-you know he has the best stuff so if you want to have a great sleep you’ll need to ask to borrow them.
-MC: Belphie can I use your fancy sleep pillow I can’t sleep
-Belpihe: *pretends to sleep on the couch so he doesn't have to give MC his favourite pillow*
-Mammon: Don’t worry MC come sleep on my bed it's crazy comfy you'll definitely fall asleep right away.
-Belphie: *Throws the pillow at MC and pulls them onto the couch to take a nap with him-Mammon: Hey they were gonna sleep in my room tonight!

BOY NEXT DOOR 8 - ( c.s )
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
part seven
summary- you and your roommates live beside a bunch of senior hockey players, one of them being the infamous team captain chris sturniolo. he’s effortlessly flirty and undeniably attractive, but he’s also a pain in your ass. you find that you have to fight between lust and hatred as you finally get to know the boy next door, whether you want to or not.
warnings- ANGST! it’s just fluff and angst get ready baby
a/n: hellllooooooooo sorry everything takes me fucking forever to write but i am once again back hehe i truly hope you enjoy
despite what many people might think, chris has never been on a proper date in his life. and it’s silly to admit, considering he’s hung out with women in so so many different contexts, but it’s never been formal like that.
he swears he’s never even said the word out loud, as if he was scared of getting infected with real feelings, scared of things getting too serious. so he vowed there would be no flowers, no fancy dinners, no romance. just pure physical connections.
and it stayed that way for so long that he figured it would never change. he’d be a bachelor forever, hopping from girl to girl, showing them no more vulnerability than a simple smile.
then he met you, got to know you, and that mindset disappeared. the fear of being blindsided is still there, nestled somewhere deep in the trenches of his heart.
but to him, you’re worth the potential heartbreak.
so when he shows up at your doorstep with a bouquet of tulips saturday afternoon, it’s a bit of a surprise for the both of you, though not an unwelcome one.
“there’s my pretty girl.” chris smiles, trying desperately to play off his nerves.
my pretty girl. the words ring through your head like a church bell, and even though it’s embarrassing, you’re unable to stop beaming at him.
“what are you doing here?” you ask curiously as he hands the flowers over.
he swallows thickly, shoving his now-freed hands in his pockets. “i wanted to ask you out. on, like, a real date.”
for a moment you think you’ve heard him wrong, or that this must be some kind of prank. in what world would chris sturniolo, infamous playboy, be throwing in the towel and dating? let alone dating you?
but his face remains eerily serious. you can tell he’s a little anxious by the way he’s shuffling his feet, which is endearing. you’re not sure he’s ever done this before, and yet it's the sweetest gesture.
you’re pleasantly shocked by the happiness that’s washing over your body, and as much as you don’t want to give into it, it’s almost impossible not to.
“i think i can definitely squeeze that into my calendar.” you grin.
he visibly relaxes, chuckling slightly at your response as he shakes his head. “next time i’ll schedule it with your secretary.”
the fact that he said next time almost makes you freeze, but you play it off without skipping a beat. your heart is doing backflips, so you clutch the flowers and try to contain it.
“you know the drill, i’m a busy woman.” you shrug playfully.
“be ready by seven?” it’s a question more than a request, because he’s not fully confident that you actually are free.
“yeah,” you nod, stepping closer to give him a kiss of reassurance, “i’ll see you then.”
even feeling your lips on his for a second drives chris absolutely crazy. but there’s plenty of time for that later. right now he’s the perfect gentleman, the guy you deserve.
“oh my god, is it seven already?” ramona checks her watch from the couch, completely in a daze.
she's been religiously rewatching her favorite show, swearing that it inspires her to work on the project she’s been procrastinating. you know she’s too invested for that to be true, but you can’t blame her.
“it’s time indeed.” you nod, slipping your feet into your knee highs.
“oh my gosh, you look so good!” she gushes, popping up from her spot to come wrap you in a hug.
mona barely gives you time to fully zip up your shoes, and you both almost go toppling. you can’t help but laugh at her enthusiasm, straightening up so you can hold her back.
“jesus, you could’ve given me one more second.” you tease as you pull away.
“sorry, cuteness aggression. i think i’m just too excited for you.” she apologizes, even though she knows you’re not actually angry.
“i’m happy you approve.”
it’s the truth; having both of your roommates’ support means the world to you. especially since you’re falling for him, which is terrifying on its own.
you can’t remember the last time you’ve been this serious about a guy, but it feels so good.
ramona smiles right as the doorbell rings, and you hear cassidy come bounding down the stairs. she looks bewildered, definitely startled awake from her nap, and you can’t help but laugh.
“he’s here! and damn, you look sexy bitch.” she says, joining the two of you by the living room.
you smile as she pushes you forward slightly, shaking your head. “you guys are embarrassing me.”
“payback for the millions of times you’ve done it to us.” cass snaps back playfully.
ramona rolls her eyes, waving you to continue to the door as she tugs her counterpart into the kitchen. “no fighting, go have fun! we love you!”
you let out a breath, squaring your shoulders and raising your chin as you step toward the door. you’re more nervous than you expected to be, but when you pull open the door it’s like you immediately relax.
seeing chris dressed up in a quarter zip and those ripped jeans you adore on him makes your heart swell. the easy-going expression on his face calms your anxiety almost instantly.
you see his own eyes travel down to your exposed legs, covered only by your favorite little black skirt. your off-the-shoulder long sleeve is hidden slightly by your leather jacket, bold makeup accentuating your features.
he feels like he’s suffocating, seeing you look this good knowing it’s all for him. that you’re almost his. he wants to taste you, to ruin your lipgloss just to feel you on his mouth.
“you look…unreal.” he breathes, offering you his hand as you step out to join him on the front step.
“you look pretty great too.” you admit sheepishly, and he gives you a gentle kiss because he can’t help it.
you chuckle under your breath as he pulls away, wiping the gloss from his mouth with your thumb gently. chris just smiles, kissing the pad of your finger briefly before tangling his hand in yours.
“come on, we can’t be late to our first official dinner reservation.” chris urges as he leads you to his car.
he’s embarrassingly giddy as he holds the passenger door open, and you hop inside happily. it’s become one of your favorite spots, riding around next to him with his hand on your thigh.
tonight is no different. his thumb brushes against your skin reassuringly as you hum under your breath, watching chris drive out of the corner of your eye.
he’s just so handsome, especially right now. you’ve always known that, but it’s different. you care about him so much that just looking at his face kind of makes your day, as horrifyingly honest as that is.
you can’t help but smile to yourself, and he pulls into the parking lot of a fancy little restaurant a few moments later.
“i’ve always wanted to try this place, you know. i just never had the right occasion.” you admit as chris helps you back out of the car.
he laughs slightly, hand snaking its way to your waist after he closes the door behind you. “i haven’t either, but you’re the only worthy occasion i can imagine.”
you feel your cheeks heat up slightly. “stop flattering me, i know you just want to get lucky after we’re done.”
“i want a lot more than that, sweetheart.” chris replies truthfully, kind of enjoying letting his mouth run. he’s held his feelings in so much lately that it’s nice to just be honest.
meanwhile you’re desperately trying not to read into his words too much, but at this point it’s hard not to. it seems like he truly does like you, and for the first time in your life you might actually see a future with someone.
once you’re inside, the hostess guides you to a nice booth in the corner, smiling sweetly at chris as she leaves. it doesn’t matter; he’s got his hand in yours, and he’s not looking at anyone besides you as you sit down.
“quit staring at me like that.” you tease, even though you’re only half-joking.
chris tilts his head to the side, smirking at you like he can read your mind. “why, does it make you nervous?”
“no.” you lie, and he just shakes his head like he doesn’t believe you.
your waiter saves you a moment later and you order your drinks; a beer for him and a margarita for you. by the time they’re on the table, you and chris are already deep in your usual random conversation.
it’s impossible to stop looking into his eyes as you chat, your foot bumping against his as you both lean forward towards each other. his fingers dance across the top of your hand, simply because he’s unable to go more than a minute without physical contact, especially when you look so gorgeous.
you’re halfway through the actual meal when you’re finally forced to excuse yourself and use the bathroom, even though you don’t want to leave for even a minute.
“don’t miss me too much.” you joke, sliding out of your side of the booth to give him a quick kiss.
“you know i will.” he smiles as you pull away, watching you head toward the restroom with hearts in his eyes.
looking at yourself in the mirror once you’re done only confirms what you already knew; you’re having the best first date ever. your reflection smiles at you as you wash your hands, so wrapped up in your own head that you barely notice the girl who comes up beside you until she clears her throat.
startled, you glance her direction, only to find that she’s already staring right at you. your stomach bottoms out as your body fills with dread for a reason you’re not yet sure of.
“uh…can i help you?” you ask, trying to keep your voice light and friendly.
she flips her long brown hair over her shoulder, cat-like eyes narrowing just a bit. “so, you’re chris’s little plaything, huh?”
you try to swallow the lump in your throat, but it simply won’t go away. “that depends on who’s asking.”
the girl scoffs, turning away from you just a bit so that she can reapply her lipstick in the mirror. “the girl who fucked him three weeks ago when you walked out, that’s who’s asking.”
the acidic taste of bile fills your mouth, and you suddenly feel like you’re going to throw up. your ears ring and the world shrinks, like there’s no air left to breathe.
how the fuck does she even know that? did he talk to her about you? your mind is spiraling out of control, thinking about every single aspect of that fateful morning.
you see her smile sharply at your reaction, satisfied that she’s caught you off guard. it’s impossible to compose yourself, though, because everything is coming crashing down.
“c’mon babe, you thought he really liked you? he didn’t even wait twenty-four hours to get on top of me.”
“he wouldn’t.” you whisper, even though you know that’s not the truth.
this time she actually barks out a laugh, tossing her tube of lipstick back in her bag before turning to face you once more. it doesn’t help that she’s undeniably gorgeous, exactly his type.
“he would, and he did. but if you don’t believe me, just ask him. mention the name daniela and you’ll see for yourself.” she says, fixing her hair one more time before stepping around you to get to the door.
you hear it slam behind her, still rooted in the same place, unable to move. you don’t want to believe it, but she was speaking with such certainty that you’re already convinced.
tears sting your eyes like salt in the wound. your face is no longer filled with the cheerfulness it possessed a few moments ago; now you just look crestfallen. but you won’t give in to your emotions yet, not without confirmation.
you don’t want to face chris, but you know you have to. so you send your roommates an SOS text to ensure you have a ride home, and then you steel yourself to go back.
you have no idea where daniela went, but it doesn’t matter because you don’t look anywhere but straight ahead as you walk. your whole body is tingling, entirely on the verge of breaking down as you find your way to the table.
not yet, not yet, not yet.
the second his face lights up at your return, you want to crumble. he looks so sweet, the boy you thought had finally changed for you. but then he notes your tight expression, and a frown replaces the grin.
you don’t sit down. you just blink at him for a second, trying to force the words out. you’re silent until he opens his mouth to speak, which finally empowers you enough to cut him off.
“tell me about daniela.”
he straightens uncomfortably at the mention of her name, which already gives you your answer. your heart twists, so much so that it physically hurts inside your chest.
“what?” chris responds, staring at you dumbly.
“did you or did you not sleep with a girl named daniela a day after me?” you ask as calmly as possible, ignoring the fact that your fingernails are digging into the skin of your palm.
his face somehow contorts to look even more grim, and you shake your head slowly. a smile of disbelief makes its way across your lips, which you suppose is better than sobbing.
“yeah, i’m done here.” you snap, yanking your jacket and purse up before turning on your heel.
“please—” his hand circles your wrist and you yank it away without a second thought, not caring if anyone sees.
you just keep walking. everything is completely numb at this point. it doesn’t even feel like you’re in your own body, you’re just moving. the fresh air hits you as you step outside and you inhale the cold, letting it shock you awake a bit.
you unravel your jacket from your arms and put it on as you book it through the parking lot, only to realize that you’re shaking.
the double doors burst open behind you, and you hear him shouting your name, but you still don’t stop. his heavy footsteps increase in pace, and you make it to the sidewalk just outside the restaurant when he finally catches up.
“please, just give me the chance to explain.” chris begs, once again reaching for your hand to try and slow you down.
you stop, only to shove him away from you with a surprising burst of power. he let’s go, but he’s still looking at you desperately as if it’s not black and white.
“there’s nothing to explain. in fact, this is exactly why i fucking hated you so much to begin with, why i was so hesitant to let myself believe that you could actually feel something for anyone besides yourself. you made me look like an idiot, thinking that you’d changed at all.” you lash out, unable to control the rage spilling out of your mouth.
he winces, visibly hurt from your words, but he powers through anyways. “i immediately knew i made a huge mistake, and even though i did it thinking it would make me feel better, it made everything worse. when you left that morning i thought it was over for me, and it hurt in a way that i’ve never felt before because i really fucking care about you.”
you snort, crossing your arms over you chest defensively. “yeah, well, you’re doing a fabulous job at showing it. i mean seriously, chris, do you know how fucking horrible that was? to find out from the girl herself because you couldn’t be bothered to at least be honest? and now you expect me to believe anything you say when in reality your words mean shit.”
chris feels you slipping from his fingers, so quickly that he doesn’t know how to stop it, or how to get you to trust what he’s saying. it’s a type of distress that he’s never been through before, because he’s never gotten attached.
“i know i fucked up, and i know i should’ve never even responded to her in the first place. i don’t have the right to ask you to trust me, but i need you to know that it didn’t mean anything to me.” he pleads, unable to keep the emotion out of his voice now.
you feel your eyes burning again as you meet his gaze, and you’re not sure if it’s hurt or frustration making you cry.
“it means something to me. i put my faith in you enough to go all the way, to let my guard down this past month and admit to myself that i do have feelings for you. and now i look just as stupid as everyone told me i would, even though i really did trust you so much. i thought things were different, that you wouldn’t dare do that to me.” you’re choking on your tears as you speak, and all he wants to do is reach out and wipe them away but he can’t.
you take a step back, almost instinctively. “but you did, and now it’s over.”
chris feels his whole world stop for a second. he takes in every inch of your heartbroken face; eyes wide and red, tears streaking down your cheeks as you hold yourself in your own arms.
he hates himself so much, more than he ever has in his life, for destroying things with the only person that matters. especially on a night that was supposed to be so special.
“i’m begging you not to do this. i’m so, so sorry that i ruined your confidence in me, but it’s only ever been you. you live in my thoughts, in my dreams, in every single goddamn place i go. and it took me way too long to say it, but i want to be with you so badly that it kills me. you know this is real, and i will do anything to prove it to you.” he takes a step closer, but you move away and put your hand up as a warning.
it’s everything you’ve been wanting him to tell you, but it’s too late. you don’t know how to forgive him yet, and you’re not sure you’ll be able to forget.
“i can’t, chris. i just…i don’t know anymore.” you sound so defeated, but you don’t care.
by the grace of god, your friends pull up at the exact right moment to save you. cass throws her hazards on and stops the car, glaring bullets at him through the glass as she waits for you to get in.
you’re done talking for now, and chris recognizes that. there’s nothing he can do or say to take it back, and as much as he wants to keep trying, it’ll only push you even further. so he nods his head once solemnly, vision beginning to blur as he takes all of you in one last time.
you’re the girl of his dreams, and he’s absolutely fucked it.
“i’m sorry. i’m so sorry.” he repeats as you pile into the backseat, unable to conjure up any words besides those ones.
it registers in your head, but you don’t respond. you can’t even look at him anymore, because it’s too hard to think about what could have been. so you close the door hard, determined to shut him out of your life for good this time.

baby-sitting for miguel o'hara.
miguel o'hara x m!reader headcanons.
part ii.
warnings: smut, perverted!miguel, stalker!miguel, top!miguel, bottom!male reader, small!male reader, weak!male reader, sir!kink, thoughts of sex, masturbation, fingering, spying, kinda dubcon (?), heavily focused on sweat and smelly musk (hehe).
notes: say hi to my first miguel story! i couldn't stop thinking about him ever since I rewatched the movie, tbh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
—at first, miguel was rather reluctant to hire you for babysitting.
—your experience was almost non-existent, if it hadn’t been for that one time you babysat your nephew… eight years ago. of course, you left that part of information out.
—but miguel deemed you trustworthy, concluded that so even before he ran a background check on you.
—and so far, he seemed correct.
—on the first day, he was just as nervous as you were, leaving his precious and sacred gift to the world with a complete stranger—it was frightening and if he had the choice, he wouldn’t have done this.
—he would tell you about the cameras installed throughout the house—mostly for the safety of gabriella’s, but your well-being was also a considerate factor in this choice.
—you were small, and if miguel said that you looked weak, you’d probably say a questionable thank you considering how quietly submissive you were towards him.
—later that first night, miguel knew he made the right choice in picking you (out of a measly three candidates, but still).
—you managed to get gabriella to sleep by her bedtime, one routine that miguel still hadn’t figured out yet.
—but to be fair, babies woke up and slept according to their own terms, so did they really have a bedtime other than day, afternoon, and night?
—like the first night of many, you bid him goodbye after being paid.
—goodnight, sir! i’m pretty much free all summer until my semester starts, so if you need me on stand by or something… go crazy!
—all right, I’ll keep that in mind.
—and… thank you.
—something ignited in him when you guys spoke. it must’ve been… what, your fourth interaction together?
—the first few have been more formal—interviewing you, introducing you to gabriella, and checking up on you with a phone call. it was limited, a thick barrier that miguel would put up between you and him because it was work—just work.
—even though he sent you off fairly quick, the interaction was long enough for him study you like he never did before.
—he never realized how handsome you were, optimism practically seeping from your smile to your voice. it was a stark contrast to his moodiness, strained by the constant amount of stress put on by work, and furthermore by an ongoing divorce case.
—but he liked you, more than he’d like to admit.
—miguel liked the way you would tuck your shirt into your pants. a younger version of him would’ve labelled you a nerd, church boy even.
—but he found it attractive when the fabric laid on your chest with the right amount of tightness—a slightest exposure that would have him staring for an embarrassing amount of time.
—he also found it attractive when the peak of summer closed in on you.
—one day, you would show up at his doorstep in shorts.
—you preferred walking.
—no wonder you were so radiant to him, you practically soaked in the sun every day before you two would meet.
—sorry if i look like a mess, sir- i look gross, don’t i?
—that feeling in him returned again, churned like butter as he would watch the sweat calmly roll down your aching legs.
—i’d be lying if i told you no, wouldn’t i?
—you were a mess, miguel would go on to agree to himself. not because of the way your hair sparkled in the sun as it latched onto sweat—but because of the way you were completely oblivious to how you made him feel.
—it only grew stronger with subsequent meetings.
—you can use my shower, you know. it’s gotta be uncomfortable to be sweaty in those clothes for—what—eight hours?
—no, no! I’m fine, sir. i don’t think it would be right of me to-
—well, just throwing it out there in case you needed to.
—next time, then!
—and the next time, you would carry an extra bag of clothes because you and miguel both knew the outcome.
—it was a proud moment when miguel could smell his body wash on you when you left that night.
—sure, he probably bought the most generic brand he could find. but he has never smelt that scent on you before, so it inflated his ego to know that you’d be walking home in his usual scent.
—sleeping in his scent.
—like every other night, a shower would mark the end of miguel’s day. it was his favorite pastime—all thoughts were left behind as soon as he stepped under the shower head, letting the warm spray of water wash him of stress.
—when he stepped out, something caught his eye in the corner of the tiled floor—something blue.
—your briefs.
—you forgot to take your briefs with you because you were rushing when you heard gabriella suddenly cry.
—it would’ve been off-putting by anyone else, but this was you.
—this was your briefs, miguel would then hold up like a trophy. a piece of fabric that would contain and cover you—touch your most vulnerable parts.
—with the current feelings miguel had for you, it would’ve been a missed opportunity if he simply threw it in the washer.
—so, he doesn’t.
—11 am. where miguel would usually find himself sleeping by this hour—he was inhaling the scent of your musk instead, scrunching your sweat-stained briefs to his face as he jerked off in bed.
—in all honestly, he was ashamed to admit that he loved the smell of your sweat.
—but miguel would nonetheless take deep whiffs, desperate to smell you in your most vulnerable state.
—and he comes at the very last second when he can.
—it wasn’t enough for him though, so miguel doesn’t waste a single second to jerk himself off again—his cum lubing his sensitive cock up with a generous amount of stickiness and slick.
—good morning, sir!
—(m/n), i thought i said that you can call me miguel?
—oh… right! sorry, that completely slipped my mind. i must’ve forgotten.
—never stop forgetting, miguel muttered to himself, fucking his heavy cock into  the depth of your briefs.
—he loved the way you called him sir. it made him feel authoriative and only fueled his want and need to protect you—you and your weak body.
—you’d be powerless if something were to happen to you, and the chances of that happening were well in your wits since you continued to insist on walking home.
—unbeknownst to you, every night miguel would follow you in the shadows—an undisclosed bodyguard of some sort—until you reached home.
—even then, he wasn’t fully relaxed because most crimes always took place domestically.
—he would watch you from below, through your window, for quite some time, making sure your parents’ house was a danger-free zone.
—and it wasn’t until you took your pants off and began stroking yourself through those same blue briefs, that he was finally at peace.
—fuck... miguel stopped fucking into your briefs to take another whiff of the fabric until his nostrils stung—a mixture of you and him together now.
—the fabric clung around miguel’s cock as his thick precum was the only glue that pieced him and the presence of you together.
—he would think back to how you would suck on two of your fingers as you stroked yourself to nothing but lewd thoughts—your eyes tightly closed to visualize your perverted mind into reality.
—what are you thinking about? who are you thinking about? is it me? are you thinking about my cock?
—the air in his bedroom has gotten heavier, thick with sex as he sweated under the cloud of you fingering yourself with the clumsiest yet neediest precision.
—he spat on his cock to slick it up again—because he could go on for hours—replaying back to the night where he watched you completely juxtapose with the innocent image he had of you prior.
—your hips were lifted up, legs awkwardly bent back as you dug into yourself, working your hole open deeper with one, then two, then three fingers because—miguel was right. like a spell, you were thinking of him and his cock.
—he had to be big, you were so sure of it. the fact that you strained your neck from looking up at him was a telling sign that he was, as ignorant as that was.
—and you were practically drooling at the thought of his cock stuffing you with the most fulfilling amount of pain and pleasure.
—you’d want him to be ruthless with you and show no mercy as he couldn’t care less about the way you whimpered and cried out for him to stop.
—fucking you from behind as his strong arms held you in a headlock, applying pressure that would frighten a choke out of you.
—because you were nothing but his fuck toy.
—it was all overwhelming for miguel on that night, almost too good to be true and he had to squeeze his cock through his sweats to make sure this was reality.
—you would confirm that it was, with the image of you coming all over your chest and stomach, all to the pathetic plunging of your fingers.
—and miguel does too, coming powerfully, to the point of shudders running down his broad back, into a part of your briefs where it would hold your own dick because he wants his smell to be imprinted on you, inked deep into your flesh.
—until you smelled like his.

Take a chance on me.
Pairings: Emily Prentiss x reader.
Summary: To say that Emily was baffled that she first had control over the situation with the UnSub and suddenly being hostage and getting shot again, was an understatement. But what she didn't expect was that she'd meet someone.
A/n: This was requested by anon, I was going to follow Emily's thingy with Mendoza but decided to change it a bit and make it in my own image🫢 Also, I didn't want to have to rewatch those episodes cause I kinda like to think they didn't happen🙂‍↔️ I also did not proof read this, I never do until it's too late haha, so my apologies. I'm working on everyone's request, I'm slowly getting back to writing again cause I miss it so much, and I've been so busy. To say that Emily was baffled that she first had control over the situation with the UnSub and suddenly being hostage and getting shot again, was an understatement. After two days of dealing with this case, it seemed like they had it all figured out and under control, but of course, things don’t always go as planned or expected, and now here she was in a hospital bed, waiting for her procedure to get the bullet out because, apparently, it was dangerous to keep the bullet inside and she had to go through surgery to get it out. The team had already made its round to check on her and had promised that they’d be back once Emily was out, she didn’t see the need for them to stay when they had paperwork to do, and they could just go home. She groaned softly as she laid her head back against the pillow and closed her eyes for a moment, sooner or later the nurse would come to take her to the OR, and she’d be out for a while. Soon enough, she felt the presence of someone, she opened her eyes and was about to make a comment about being fine when her eyes landed on the agent that had saved her life. The agent she had spent the last two days working with, and that somehow, had taken her breath away.
“Carter…what…what are you doing here?” Emily offered a small smile, trying to hide the faint blush on her cheeks as she noticed the flowers that the agent was holding.
Y/n huffed a chuckle as she walked into the room, placing the flowers on the table in front of the bed. “I uh…I wanted to check on you. I heard they’ll have to take you to surgery.”
Emily scoffed. “Yeah, well, apparently I can’t keep it in, and they convinced me of the surgery to save me from pain.” She shrugged.
Y/n chuckled softly as she nodded. “Yeah, great choice.” She smiled softly as she tilted her head, staring at Emily. “I’m just glad you’re okay.”
“Well, you saved me. So, I gotta thank you for that.” Emily smiled softly as she stared at her. “And…thanks for the flowers.”
Y/n looked at them and chuckled nervously. “Yeah, well, they were out of ‘get well’ balloons. And I thought these flowers were pretty.” She smiled softly and returned her stare at Emily. “And you really don’t have to thank me.”
Emily nodded as she huffed a chuckle. “Well, I still wanna thank you. Not everyone would risk their life for a stranger.”
Y/n hummed as she squinted her eyes. “Isn’t that our job, though? Risking our lives for strangers?” She grinned softly.
Emily rolled her eyes playfully and grinned. “You know what I mean, and if you don’t, then maybe it’s your problem or maybe me not thinking because of the painkillers.”
Y/n laughed softly as she nodded. “Understood.” She tilted her head as she stared at Emily for a moment before she cleared her throat and looked out the door. “Well…” she looked back at Emily and offered a smile. “I should go…I uh…I need to report back to my office.”
Emily nodded. “And I’ll go into surgery soon.”
“Good luck with that.” Y/n huffed a chuckle as she nibbled on her lip. “It was great working with you, Agent Prentiss.”
Emily smiled softly. “You too, Agent Carter. But please call me Emily.”
“Then you must call me y/n.” Y/n smiled.
Emily nodded. “Fair enough.” She grinned. “Well, I definitely owe you a beer or a drink for saving me. I sure hope we see each other again.”
Y/n grinned softly. “It’s a date.” She shrugged. “I’ll call you tomorrow to check on you…and to talk about that beer or drink.” She winked at Emily. “See you around, Emily.”
Before Emily could say anything else, y/n was already out the door. Emily’s eyes widened slightly as y/n’s words kept running in her mind. ‘It’s a date’. A date. Was it a date? Emily was not entirely joking, she did want to buy her a drink for saving her, which she normally wouldn’t have offered, but felt the need to. But she hadn’t meant it as a date, she hadn’t even thought about it and the words just came out of her mouth. Of course, she wouldn’t mind going for a drink.
Y/n was really nice, Emily found herself getting along very easily with her and they fell into a comfortable rhythm to work together, which Emily really appreciated and made it easier to work this case. She also couldn’t deny that y/n was a really beautiful woman; her voice, the way she walked with confidence, the determination and dedication, her beautiful wavy hair, and the way she smiled…woah, Emily! Stop right there. She snapped out of her trance as she heard the nurse walking into the room, suddenly, Emily remembered she was still in the hospital. But even as the nurse took her to the OR and kept talking about how easy and quick the whole thing would be, she couldn’t help but keep y/n in her mind.
********************
A few weeks have passed, and Emily was allowed to go back to work, eager to already leave her apartment and get herself busy with work, even if that meant getting busy with paperwork. Not a day went by without Emily getting a visit from someone from the team, and she was not left alone at all, which of course she appreciated a lot, but she was ready to get back and actually do something herself. As she walked into her office, she stopped in her tracks as she noticed a bouquet of flowers sitting on her desk. Her eyes widened a bit as her brows raised, not really expecting this. As she made her way to the flowers, she picked up the small note that laid between the flowers.
‘Heard you’re back on duty. Welcome back! And please be safe since I’m not there to save you again ;)
-Carter.’
Emily’s breath hitched as she stared at the small note and then back to the flowers, not being able to stop her heart from beating as fast as it was. If she didn’t know better, she’d think that she was just flattered by the flowers, but the way her heart was beating? Yeah, that was not common at all. She nibbled on her lip as she leaned down and smelled the flowers, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips at the beautiful smell. But the moment was interrupted as she heard a knock on her door, startling her and making her turn back fast.
“Emily Prentiss in the house! We missed you here, Em!” Penelope squealed as she walked to Emily. “I made sure that your office stayed clean, and also- oh?” She looked behind Emily and let out a gasp. “Who sent you flowers?!”
Emily looked back at the flowers and then back at Penelope, clearing her throat nervously. “Ah…uh…well…” she walked around her desk and then sat down, putting her bag on the desk, and looking at Penelope. “I don’t really know.”
“There’s no note?! Oh…you got a secret admirer that we don’t know about? Do I have to look into surveillance footage? Because I-“
“Garcia!” Emily interrupted, raising her brow as she offered a smile. “No need for that. And…the flowers are just…there. It’s okay.”
“Huh…” Penelope shrugged as she sighed. “Well, fine. Guess we’ll leave it at that.”
Emily nodded softly and thankfully, Penelope dropped it as she told Emily what she had been missing from the days she was not here. But all Emily could focus on was the flowers sitting at the corner of her desk. She felt a bit guilty because since she had left the hospital, she had meant to call y/n but having a full house, barely having any time for herself, it had been hard to actually get some time for herself. As Penelope kept talking, she looked down at her phone and decided to take a little step.
Emily: Good morning. Just got to my office and found some beautiful flowers sitting at my desk. Do you happen to know anyone named Carter?
Y/n: Oh, not sure. The name sounds familiar but can’t wrap my head around it.
Emily: Well, too bad because I really wanted to thank them. I loved the flowers. Happened to be my favorites too.
Y/n: Huh…this Carter must be very smart and has very good choices. Maybe they wish they could’ve seen your face when you saw them ;)
Emily looked up at Penelope as she felt herself smiling, biting her lip softly as she tried to hide it and try to focus a bit on whatever Penelope was saying. She looked down at her phone as she nodded to what Penelope had said, but half of her attention went back to her phone.
Emily: I was quite surprised, but it was nice to walk into my office to such a beautiful surprise. Thank you, y/n. You really didn’t have to.
Y/n: But I wanted to. No problem. Though I hope this means I’ve finally earned my drink and next text I get is you telling me when I can see you ;)
“Who’s texting you that has you smiling?”
Emily’s eyes widened at Penelope’s voice, and she rapidly looked up at her. “Oh, ah…what?”
Penelope chuckled softly as she raised her brow. “Oh…so you do know the person who sent you the flowers.”
“I- uh…I mean…” Emily sighed loudly and decided to give up. She licked her lips nervously before she cleared her throat. “I do.”
“Who is it?!”
“Oh, I know who those are from.” JJ suddenly showed up at the door, smirking as she noticed the flowers. She walked to them and sat on the other chair beside Penelope.
Emily stared at JJ and bit her tongue, trying to save the comment she had in mind. “JJ…”
“It’s this agent from Field Office we worked with a few weeks ago. Emily and…what was her name? Carter?” JJ smirked softly as she looked at Emily. “They got along so well.”
Emily groaned softly as she closed her eyes and looked down, placing her hands on her forehead. “You gotta be kidding me…”
“OH?!” Penelope looked between JJ and Emily, already getting excited.
“Don’t get too excited, Garcia.” Emily chuckled softly as she sighed, nibbling on her lip for a moment.
“What you mean not to get excited? Our girl found herself a girl! How can I- oh. Oh. No. Emily Prentiss, you’re not doing that.” Penelope suddenly snapped, raising her brow. JJ only chuckled softly as she covered her mouth.
Emily furrowed her brows as she shook her head. “Uh…what?”
“I know that look on your face. Just because you’re the chief, doesn’t mean you cannot have a life outside this building. And if this girl is persistent, I don’t see why not! Do you find her attractive?”
Emily stared at her, and she took a deep breath, averting her eyes for a moment as she tried to find the right words to explain the situation. “I just…” She sighed. “Yes, I find her attractive. I don’t know her very well but she’s…really nice.” She smiled a little as she looked back at the flowers.
JJ grinned softly as she looked at Penelope. “Someone has a little crush.” She teased.
Penelope nodded rapidly as she smiled and turned to look at Emily. “Em, c’mon. Call her!”
“Well…she has tried. We text and…I might’ve suggested that I owed her a drink and that has not happened yet…” Emily said the last few words almost in a whisper, a shy smile on her face.
“Oh, because she left out the fact that Carter saved Emily after she got shot.” JJ grinned.
“She did?! We need to worship her! Cute and a knight?! You definitely gotta call her and invite her out.”
Emily groaned softly as she shook her head. “I don’t know, I mean…what if she’s just being nice? What if she’s just…I don’t know…feel like she has to- hey! Give me back my phone!” She tried to stop Penelope from grabbing her phone, but she was too late.
Penelope gasped as she went through Emily’s phone. “‘Hope this means I’ve finally earned my drink and next text I get is you telling me when I can see you’?!” She looked at Emily and her jaw dropped, a chuckle leaving her lips. “Emily! It’s obvious she’s into you!”
“Why someone like her would be interested in me?”
“Oh, c’mon, Em. Anyone would be so lucky to have you, and I’m pretty sure she knows that.”
“And have you seen yourself in the mirror, babes? Please!”
Emily laughed softly, nibbling on her lip as she looked back at the flowers. She sighed softly. “I just…I’m not sure she would want to deal with me.”
“I’m gonna stop you right there, Prentiss. You are allowed to have a life outside this building.” JJ said as she looked at Emily, tilting her head as she stared at her, offering a small smile. “C’mon, Emily. What could possibly happen if you accept one drink?”
“That’s what I’ve been telling her!” Penelope whispered/yelled.
Emily stared at both of them, groaning softly as she shook her head and licked her lips. She extended her arm and grinned a little. “Give me back my phone.”
Penelope squealed as she handed back the phone. “Chief Emily Prentiss got herself a date.”
Emily chuckled softly as she shook her head, looking down at her phone as she nibbled on her lip.
Emily: How does Friday sound? 8 pm?
Emily waited anxiously for a reply, feeling JJ and Penelope’s eyes on her. It would only be fair if she took her time to answer, of course, Emily had taken her time replying back and-
Y/n: Friday sounds perfect. Would you mind sending me your address so I can pick you up?
Emily: Sure, I will :)
Y/n: Perfect. See you on Friday, agent Prentiss. Can’t wait ;)
Emily bit her lip softly as she read the message over and over again.
Emily: See you on Friday, agent Carter. Can’t wait either.
Emily looked up at JJ and Penelope, smiling widely as she nodded. Both women clapped and cheered for her, making Emily laugh. A drink won’t hurt…
********************
This has never actually happened to her, she was going a bit crazy on how she kept pacing around her room and how she just kept getting clothes out of her closet; she had gone through at least three dresses now, and she still didn’t find the right one. It was just drinks. A date, yes. But drinks. With a beautiful woman…she was losing her mind. Since when did she get this nervous? It wasn’t exactly her first date, but she hasn’t been really open about dating in a long time, mostly because the job had taken a lot of her time, and she had made up her mind that she didn’t exactly had time to date. But y/n knew the job, she was part of the FBI too. Was she getting ahead of herself? Thinking about y/n this much? She had not been able to stop since that day at the hospital. How could she? When she had the most beautiful smile she has ever seen and-
A sound suddenly startled Emily, snapping out of her trance when she figured out that y/n was already here. She cursed under her breath as she grabbed her heels and purse, deciding at that moment that the dress she was wearing was good enough. The moment the door of the elevator closed, she took a deep breath, trying to stop her beating heart. How was it possible that she felt so nervous? How come y/n made her feel like this, and they barely knew each other? She took a deep breath and then let it out as she walked out of the elevator. Y/n was leaning over the car, looking around as people passed in front of her, fidgeting with the bouquet of flowers she had in her hand, and then, as she turned, her eyes landed on the raven-haired woman, her breath hitching as she composed her posture, smiling softly as Emily walked to her. She couldn’t help the way her eyes darted down over her body; she was wearing a sleek, form-fitting red dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, and her hair was styled in perfect waves. She was stunning…
Y/n cleared her throat as Emily stood in front of her. “H-Hi.” She smiled softly.
“Hi.” Emily said softly, smiling as she noticed y/n’s nervousness. “Are those for me?” She grinned softly.
Y/n raised her brow before she looked down at the flowers. “Oh! Yes.” She huffed a chuckle as she handed Emily the flowers. “Sorry I…you just…” She looked back up into Emily’s eyes, smiling softly. “You looked gorgeous.” She said softly.
Emily felt her cheeks heating up as she stared at y/n, smiling softly as she accepted the flowers and tried to hide her blush by smelling the flowers. “Thank you.” She looked back up at her. “And…you look beautiful.”
Y/n grinned softly. “Thank you. I dress up once in a while.” She said playfully as she stepped aside and opened the door for Emily. “Your carriage, m’lady.”
Emily couldn’t help but laugh softly as she grinned, raising her brow. “Such a gentlewoman.”
“I’d like to think so, yes.” Y/n chuckled as she closed the door once Emily got in the car. She then walked to the pilot seat and got in the car as well, taking a deep breath before she closed the door.
At the beginning of the ride, both women were silent, both too nervous and shy to even say a word until a song started playing and both started singing to it. Both started laughing at the same time, and from then, the conversation kept going. Soon enough, Emily noticed that they had arrived at a restaurant, which surprised her a bit but also felt her heart flutter. As they sat down at the table, they both fell into a very comfortable conversation, work was out of the topic the whole night. Y/n couldn’t help but stare at Emily the whole time she spoke, finding it incredibly cute how she talked about random stuff, and she looked so passionate about it, loving how Emily seemed too different from Chief Emily Prentiss; she definitely loved her smile and laugh, and she wanted to keep seeing it and hearing it.
“So…” Emily grinned softly as she raised her brow. “This was a whole dinner…with drinks.”
Y/n hummed. “Yes.” She grinned.
“I thought I said I’d buy you a drink.” Emily tilted her head, her tone playful but also wondering what y/n had really planned.
“Well…I know you’re the one who set the day and time. But…I thought maybe this first date could be my treat.” Y/n stared into her eyes, smiling shyly as she nibbled on her lip.
“Which means that I still owe you a drink, and we’ll see each other again.” Emily nodded as she chuckled.
“Smart plan, isn’t it?” Y/n raised her brows playfully. “Is this you telling me that my plan completely failed, and you don’t wanna see me again?”
Emily stared into her eyes, not saying a word for a moment. A smiled tugged at the corner of her lips as she thought about it, she definitely wanted to see her again…there was no denial about it. “It’s me telling you that next date, is on me.”
Y/n’a heart started beating faster at Emily’s words, her smile widening as she nodded, trying to hide the fact that she felt very excited. “I’ll hold you to that.”
After ordering dessert to share, they headed back to Emily’s apartment, silence surrounding them, but it was not awkward or uncomfortable anymore, both had smiles on their faces. As y/n parked, she got out of the car and went ahead to open the door for Emily, offering her hand for her to take. Emily chuckled softly and took it, stepping out of the car with the flowers in hand. She stood in front of y/n and stared into her eyes, smiling softly at her.
“Thank you for tonight. It was…really nice actually.” Emily said softly, not letting go of her hand.
“Of course. It was definitely nice.” Y/n smiled softly. “So…text me when you free?”
Emily nodded. “Definitely.” She smiled softly before she leaned in and kissed her cheek softly. “See you soon, Carter.” She said as she started walking away.
Y/n felt butterflies in her whole body, smiling like an idiot as she watched Emily walking away. “See you soon, Prentiss.” She breathed out.
Emily watched over her shoulder and gave her one last smile before she walked into the building. She knew JJ and Penelope wouldn’t let her sleep on this, and they would tease her endlessly, because at the end of the day, they were right. She was happy that she had said yes. But at the same time, she couldn’t help but wonder if this would actually be something else. It had been a very long time since Emily had actually thought about dating someone, about wanting to be with someone, but the truth was that she couldn’t help but do so with y/n.
********************
“Well, then I did everything wrong.” Emily groaned as she ran her fingers through her hair, waiting for Rossi to say anything at all -once his laughter died-.
“I’m sorry to tell you that you’ll have to start over. Follow the rules, Emily. The rules.” Rossi laughed before he hung up.
Emily looked at her phone and cursed under her breath, putting back her phone on the counter and walking to the stove, groaning softly as she thought about starting all over again. And then a knock on the door made her realize that it was already late, looking down at her watch and sighing. She walked to the door and opened it with a shy smile on her face, her face soon enough softening as she stared at y/n. A box in one of her hands and another, flowers…God, y/n would literally give her a whole garden if she could.
“Hello pretty girl.” Y/n smiled softly. “Since you told me you wanted to stay tonight…I thought I’d bring dessert.”
Emily smiled softly as she scoffed. “Well, I’m afraid to tell you that we will have to order take out.” She stepped aside to let y/n walk in.
Y/n furrowed her brows as she walked in and the first thing she did was turn to Emily’s kitchen, raising her brow as she saw the mess on the kitchen island. “I…take it that you wanted to make dinner for us?”
Emily nodded as she sighed. “And failed.” She looked at y/n as she bit her lip softly. “I’m sorry.”
Y/n smiled as she walked to the kitchen island and placed the box and flowers on it, turning to look at Emily. “What if we do it together?”
Emily furrowed her brows. “What? You don’t…you don’t feel…I don’t know, disappointed?”
Y/n tilted her head. “Disappointed? Em…” She took her hands and brought them to her lips, kissing the back of her hands. “You tried. And the thought is very sweet. And…” She shrugged. “What a better date than getting to cook with you?”
Emily felt her heart fluttering as she stared into her eyes, a smile spreading across her face. “That…sounds good.”
“I gotta admit that I’m better at dessert, but…we’ll try out best.” Y/n grinned as she pulled Emily with her.
Not too long after, the kitchen was surrounded with laughter, both women having the time of their lives as they tried Rossi’s recipe once again, but this time, Emily wasn’t even worried about or stressed. She enjoyed the fact that she could laugh and have fun with y/n while trying their best attempt to get the recipe right this time. Emily couldn’t help but smile as she stirred the sauce and y/n wrapped her arms around her waist, resting her chin against her shoulder as she watched the sauce, and teased Emily saying that she already looked like a top chef. After they were done in the kitchen, they went ahead and sat down at the dining table.
“I think Rossi would be proud of us.” Emily nodded as she took another bite off her plate.
Y/n nodded as she hummed. “It’s so good, I might ask him to give me some lessons because I don’t want any other pasta in my life.”
Emily laughed softly as she stared at y/n. She stared at her for a moment as she smiled, licking her lips softly. “I’m sorry if tonight didn’t go as planned. I really wanted to surprise you with dinner.”
Y/n looked up at Emily and raised her brows. “Are you kidding? This was way better than I expected. I had so much fun. And I just…loved seeing you happy and smiling like that.” She smiled softly as she tilted her head. “The best date I’ve had.”
Emily blushed slightly as she nodded, taking her glass, and taking a sip of it. “Good.” She tried to hide her smile behind her glass.
Y/n smiled softly and went back to the pasta. She then grinned softly and grabbed a single spaghetti, only putting the end of it in her mouth and turning to Emily. “What do you say if we do the lady and the tramp scene?” She raised her brows.
Emily furrowed her brows but couldn’t help laughing as she looked at y/n, the spaghetti hanging from her mouth. And yet, she didn’t think twice before she grabbed the other end and put it in her mouth, starting to eat it. Soon enough, their faces were inches apart from each other, eyes locked, they stared at each other for a while, not moving an inch. Emily was the one who broke the spaghetti and leaned in to press her lips against y/n’s. Y/n’s breath hitched, her eyes instantly closing and placing her hand on Emily’s cheek, trying to keep her in place as she kissed her back. The position was a bit awkward, the table coming in between them, but they didn’t mind it much as they continued the tender kiss. Emily was the one to break the kiss, taking a deep shaky breath as she opened her eyes, staring back into y/n’s who was already looking at her, a silly smile on her face.
“And you still doubt that this is the best date?” Y/n teased as she bit her lip.
Emily ran her tongue over her tingling lips, chuckling softly at her teasing. “Couldn’t help it when you were being all cute.”
“You mean stupid.” Y/n chuckled.
Emily shook her head, her hand holding y/n’s and bringing it to her lips. “Not stupid at all.” She grinned softly. “What do you say we skip to dessert?”
Y/n smiled. “Let me just tell you that it’s the first time I make this sort of cake and- oh. Wait.” Her smile then turned into a smirk. “You don’t mean that dessert.”
Emily shook her head as she bit her lip. “No.”
Y/n grinned. “I like your idea of dessert better.”
Emily chuckled softly before she stood up and pulled y/n with her to her room. Needless to say, the other dessert was completely forgotten.
********************
Emily shook her head as she tried to ignore the fact that her phone kept vibrating in her pocket, trying to focus on the task she had right in front of her, but her mind drifting away every now and then. She felt guilty, to say the least. After that night in her apartment, Emily had become so busy with work that she had her schedule pretty much full, but that was not all of it. In a night accompanied by her overthinking, Emily couldn’t help but think that maybe she was not what y/n needed. They hadn’t really talked about where this was going, but Emily could feel that once she gave in, things would start to crumble. That’s how it always was. She was not exactly made for relationships, because she always messed up.
She hasn’t meant to ignore y/n’s texts or calls, she did answer…every now and then. But she didn’t know how to put into words that she didn’t think things would work, and not because she couldn’t just say it, but because she knew that sort of her didn’t mean it. She liked y/n. Hell, she could swear with her life that she was starting to fall, but it was too good to be truth. She barely had any good things in her life aside from her team. But y/n was too good to be truth. She was so sweet and kind, she was beautiful and so…incredibly hot. She had never met anyone like y/n, which scared her. Sleeping with her had not exactly been in her plan for that night, but she hadn’t been able to control herself. And boy, she did not regret it. Which is why she felt even more guilty, thinking that she gave y/n the idea that she just wanted to get her in bed, and that was it.
Emily looked up at her door when she heard a knock, and then went back to her file as she told them to come in. As she heard the door closing again, she looked up and she froze for a moment, her heart stopping as her eyes connected with y/n’s. She noticed the serious look on her face, and it made Emily’s body shiver and not in a good way.
“Y/n…what are you doing here?” Emily said softly, trying not to sound harsh.
“You were not answering my calls…or texts. I thought maybe paying you a visit wouldn’t hurt.” Y/n said softly as she sighed. “Emily…did I do or say something wrong?”
Emily furrowed her brows. “What?”
Y/n shrugged. “It’s…it’s been three weeks. Since we were together. You said you’d call, and I know you’ve been busy. But you just…entirely ignored me.” She shook her head as she looked at Emily. “Did I do something wrong?”
Emily groaned softly as she scratched her head, nibbling on her lip as she tried to think what to say. “Y/n…I didn’t mean to do that. I just…I’ve been busy.”
“You can save that excuse, Emily.” Y/n snapped. She sighed and looked away for a moment, licking her lips nervously. “Look…” y/n looked back at Emily as she crossed her arms over her chest. “If…you don’t want us to go out anymore, I get it. But please just…be honest with me, and don’t leave me hanging and waiting for you.”
Emily felt a pang of guilt as she stared at her, standing up from her desk and walking over to y/n. “Y/n…”
“I get it that I’m a bit…silly. You can call me weird if you want. But I just…” y/n huffed a chuckle as she looked down at her hands. “I never…felt more comfortable to be myself…without having to worry if it’d be too much or not.” She looked back at Emily as she shrugged. “And you…you made me feel safe to do that. I’m sorry if it was too much.”
“Gosh, no!” Emily shook her head as she grabbed y/n’s hands in hers. “I…” She sighed. “You’re amazing. You’re…so cute and sweet. I never thought that you were too much or weird or silly. You make me smile more than anyone.” She smiled softly. “I was an idiot for just dropping you like this.”
“Why did you do it then?”
“Because…” Emily looked into her eyes as she frowned. “…it seemed too good to be truth. And when that happens…it normally doesn’t end well at all.”
Y/n furrowed her brows. “Emily…”
“Since the very beginning. The way you acted with me, the way you smiled and looked at me, how easily you made me laugh and just feel…happy. It all seemed too good to be truth. And that scared me.” Emily said softly, afraid that if she spoke louder, her voice would waver. “I just…I was afraid that if I gave in to this happiness, it would soon end. I’ve…been hurt before. I feel like I’m not actually made for relationships.” She chuckled sadly.
Y/n tilted her head as she took a step closer to Emily, letting go of one of her hands and placing it on Emily’s cheek. “Em…I would never hurt you. Didn’t you hear what I said? I had never felt more happy or safe with anyone else. And I…want you.” She smiled softly.
“You do?” Emily whispered softly.
Y/n nodded. “I do.”
“With…flaws, traumas, and everything?” Emily smiled sadly.
Y/n chuckled softly as she nodded. “Everything.” She let go of Emily’s other hand and placed it on her waist, pulling her closer to her, leaving a small space between their bodies. She then rested her forehead against Emily’s and smiled a little. “Take a chance on me, Em…please.”
Emily chuckled softly, closing her eyes for a moment to relish this moment. She placed her hands on y/n’s neck, smiling softly. “Yes.”
Y/n smiled widely. “Yes?”
Emily nodded. “Yes.” She looked into her eyes, studying y/n’s face as she smiled. “I want us to date.”
Y/n chuckled softly, trying to hide the happiness she felt but knew it was useless. She wrapped her arms around Emily’s waist and brought their lips together into a sweet, gentle kiss, missing the feeling of Emily’s lips against hers. Emily smiled against her lips before she kissed her back, wrapping her arms around her neck to bring her closer, while y/n’s hand went up her back, rubbing it softly as they kissed.
Emily broke the kiss but stayed close to y/n, pecking her lips before she smiled. “You were thinking about the Abba song, weren’t you?” She said playfully as she looked into her eyes.
“I was ready to get my Rosie act, and sing like her.” Y/n grinned as she leaned in and kissed Emily’s jawline, tracing her kisses down her neck.
“Of course.” Emily chuckled softly, biting her lip as she tilted her head to give y/n more access.
“Emily, I have- oh my god.” Garcia stopped in her tracks as she stared at both women, her eyes wide at the scene in front of her. “I’m…sorry. Didn’t know you had company.
Emily jumped slightly, making y/n turn back to look at Garcia, both their eyes slightly widened. “That’s why you knock first.”
“I did, but guess you were too distracted here.” Garcia raised her brow. “You must be the famous Carter.”
Y/n looked back at Emily and then at Garcia, extending her hand to shake Garcia’s. “You can call me y/n. Or Carter is fine too.” She chuckled.
Emily smiled softly as she looked between y/n and Garcia, and then her eyes stayed on Garcia. “She’s my girlfriend.”
Garcia looked at her with wide eyes and her jaw dropped as she stared at both of them. She then squealed and chuckled softly. “I knew this would get somewhere! I called it! I’m so happy for you.” She then gasped. “Oh my god, new addition to girls' night. It’s gonna be amazing!”
Emily chuckled softly. “Garcia…you came to give me something?”
Garcia nodded. “Right, here, the reports you asked for.” She handed her a file and then smiled. “I’ll just leave you two lovebirds alone.” She chuckled softly and then stopped before she closed the door. “By the way, you’re so charming and sweet, the flowers? On my knees for you two. Nice to meet you, new friend.” She giggled before she left the office, running to JJ’s desk.
Y/n chuckled softly as she turned to look at Emily. “Girlfriend, huh?” She grinned.
Emily smirked. “Isn’t that what we agreed on just now?”
“Yeah.” Y/n pulled her closer again, wrapping her arms around her. “It’s just nice to hear it.”
“It’s nice to say it.” Emily smiled softly before she leaned in and kissed her lips again.

For a few seconds, nothing made sense.
There was a rush of heat over your skin, skin-meltingly hot, and an arm around your waist. Then an explosion blew out all the sound around you. Your ears rang, and your hands scrabbled for purchase in Bakugou’s uniform as you were violently jerked backwards.
A rush of cooler air met your skin, and you realized you’d been pulled out of the car just as you watched it swerve and hit a light pole, the glass of the passenger windows shattering. You couldn’t hear the crunch of metal over the muffled ringing in your ears, but you could see the side of the car wrap around the pole, could imagine the metal squealing and screaming.
You were jerked out of the way again just as another rush of flame went flaring past you, so hot it felt like it had singed your skin, Bakugou’s arm curling around you as he aimed an explosion into the flames to blow you clear.
It was a testament to his strength and control that he was able to maneuver you with one arm, even as the two of you twisted midair, holding you tight against him as he caught his balance, bracing to steady you as you tripped wildly over yourself. He yanked you behind a parked car, blocking any clear shot at you, leveling a hand over the roof. Your hands still fisted in his uniform, you whipped around for the source of the flames—
Only to find him clearly, grinning wildly in the middle of the street, watching you over the top of the car.
Matsui looked just like the picture you’d been shown, all those months ago in the police station. He was plain, with dark eyes, thick dark brows and wisps of curly black hair. He might have been any other salaryman in the country, except for the naked hate that hung off his features as plainly as his clothes from his wiry shoulders.
Your heartbeat thudded against Bakugou’s chest, your nails digging crescents into the material of his uniform as a cold thrill of fear went down your spine.
And Matsui wasn’t alone. A jolt went through you as you noticed another figure beside him—a figure you’d last squared off against over the prickly grass of your campus lawn.
It was one of the QRAs. He seemed to be missing his other friends from that night, as the YouTube video you’d rewatched had made it clear you’d been yelling at three men the evening this had all started. And you were at least gratified to note he looked nervous, small and sweating, but the same hatred glowed clear across face.
It was funny, that all these months later, you had never actually learned his name. He was just some faceless jerk to you, a symptom of a cultural disease.
Bakugou’s voice in your ear, slightly muffled, notified you that your hearing was slowly returning to you. “—eyes on Matsui,” he was growling, and you realized he was speaking into an earpiece. “Some other fucking chump is with him, quirk unknown—”
But you knew it. You remembered from the comments of the video that had started this all: my guy out here with a pencil-sharpening quirk and he thinks he’s genetically superior.
“It’s—he can square the tip off of cylindrical objects,” you said, your voice slightly too loud in your own ears. “He was on my campus.”
A blonde eyebrow went up, but Bakugou quickly relayed the info, his eyes never leaving the pair in the middle of the street. “Get Monoma on the fucking cylinder idiot, I’ll get Matsui,” he finished. His mouth went hard as he seemed to listen to something back, grunting in return.
“Alright brat,” he said, turning to you. His tone seemed just a little bit clearer, the gravel in it pronounced. “Genius Office has a bunch of heroes on the way, not that we’re gonna need them for two fucking idiot civilians. Our backup is just a few streets that way,” he gestured in the direction of Matsui and the pencil sharpener guy. “I need you to get around them and make a run for them while I cover you. Can you do that for me?”
Your heart pounded in your throat, and your legs went weaker at the idea of moving out from behind the car. But Matsui had just torched one car—you were sure he’d be at it again in a minute.
You gathered yourself up, nodding. “Yeah. I can.”
At least Bakugou had been putting you through the paces this week so you had some level of exercise under your belt. You suddenly wished you’d had more, though. “I can run,” you said, to reassert yourself.
“Good girl,” Bakugou said, scarlet eyes flickering down to you momentarily. A little smirk touched his mouth, like he knew what he was doing.
You were embarrassed when a feeling like determination surged through you, your body responding to him even at a time like this. You let go of your death grip on his hero costume, testing your legs out under you. Somehow, the burn of your face was helping distract you from the weak, jelly-like consistency of your knees.
A spurt of flame made you jump, but it was just Matsui shaking out his hands, grinning at you over the roof of the car. He seemed to like that he’d scared you, and the guy with the pencil sharpening quirk laughed, pleasure twisting his thin mouth.
“Come on out, drunk girl,” Matsui finally crooned, his tone soft and medial. The sound of his voice made your skin crawl, and you suddenly wished for the deafening ring of Bakugou’s explosions again. “You think you’re my equal, don’t you? Weren’t you just on your way to tell the whole world that? Come on out and show me, little girl. Come out and show everyone how equal we are.”
The little pencil sharpener next to him looked smug, as though his quirk was any match up to Matsui’s either. You glowered at him, lip automatically curling.
“Just fucking run, brat,” Bakugou told you. “‘M gonna rip his intestines out right through his asshole, you’re not gonna wanna see it.”
A horrible little gurgling laugh escaped you. It was reassuring, Bakugou’s confidence. Fear still tingled down your spine but you thought if you started, you’d be able to keep running.
“Tell me when to go,” you breathed, testing your step again.
“Start running left as soon as I get out over this car,” Bakugou commanded. “He’s just some overpowered internet troll, he’s not combat trained. He’ll take the shot at me as soon as he sees me move and it’s gonna hit the right side of the car. It’ll block his visibility and you can get behind that bus stand before he’s done.”
You nodded. “And then?”
“As soon as he takes his next shot you keep going and don’t stop. I’ll handle him from there. Monoma’s in range and he’ll get the cylinder fuck as soon as I can get him clear of Matsui.”
You made a noise of acknowledgement, grateful you had Bakugou’s combat experience on your side. “Okay. Okay. I think I’m ready.”
Bakugou’s gloved fingers briefly touched yours and he nodded. Then he shook out his arms, bracing them behind him. “That’s my girl,” he said, sending a devastatingly feral smirk your way.
You had just a single moment for your heart to trip over itself, a flush breaking out across your skin. And then an explosion ripped apart the pavement behind him.
Immediately, a towering column of flame whirled past and you launched yourself out from behind the car just as you saw Matsui’s figure disappear behind it. The heat distorted the air in front of you, shimmering and waving as you threw yourself through it, tearing down the street as fast as you could.
A roaring explosion from Bakugou’s direction drowned out the slap of your feet, and you slid behind the ads papering the wall of the bus stop just as Matsui’s flames dissolved into the air. You heard another volley of explosions, crackling like fireworks, loud and obnoxious and clearly designed to draw attention.
The clatter of loose gravel pinged off of the bus stand, kicked up by the force of Bakugou’s power. Some of it skidded underneath, bouncing off your shoes in a riot of dusty pebbles and chunks.
You peered back out, trying to judge when to make your next move. You caught sight of Matsui aiming another shot after Bakugou, and your grip reflexively tightened on a piece of gravel, the rough, grainy edges cutting into your fingers. You watched as Bakugou dodged some sort of projectile thrown by the pencil sharpening asshole, too, and then maneuvered quickly as Matsui’s flames blazed to life in his hands.
As you watched, a sudden, overwhelming incredulity seized you. Matsui and the little pencil man were so dedicated to the idea of their own superiority that they were willing to risk life and limb against pro hero Dynamight. Their inflated fucking egos surpassed even quirk supremacy—like they thought they needed to feel truly supreme in all things, even against the firepower of one of the most dangerous pros of all time. Even as Bakugou clearly was just drawing attention and dodging until you were clear of the situation. He was so obviously just playing with them.
It was insane. It was stupid—they were so fucking stupid. They were so unbelievably full of themselves, and a white hot feeling choked you, all-encompassing in its intensity.
A certainty gripped you, like the memory of that night on campus when you’d first encountered the pencil sharpener QRA. It was so reductive, the idea of measuring yourself against someone based on arbitrary traits like strength or quirks. It was the ideology of a child, of an idiot, of someone so insecure in their own place in the world that they needed to dig people out of their own places so they could be insecure too.
But people were better than that. People could learn to be better than that, like Bakugou.
If anyone was lesser in this world, it wasn’t quirkless people. It was people who let themselves act lesser like this in their desire to be more, instead of confronting the reality of their own character.
And you had already proved you were not the type of girl who could keep taking things lying down.
Before you knew what you were doing, your grip was tightening on the piece of gravel. Your vision squared in on Matsui and the QRA, and your arm drew back, hefting the gravel in your hand. And then in a wild fit of emotion, you sent it arcing through the air, spiraling tightly, a messy but certainty-fueled throw.
It hit the pencil guy square in the back of the neck, knocking him into Matsui. Matsui stumbled, and the flames at his fingertips stuttered and guttered out.
Even from a distance, you could read the surprise on Bakugou’s face. An ugly, shocked laugh suddenly escaped him. Matsui quickly staggered back to his feet, wheeling on you.
But then an explosion swept across the street, blowing Matsui and the pencil guy right into the side of a building, your distraction the only opening Bakugou needed. They hit the stone with a dull thud, sliding down in a heap together, the pencil guy letting out a groan.
Bakugou and the hero you recognized as Monoma were there in an instant, strapping quirk suppressors right around their wrists, bearing them down to the ground. As soon as they had, a flood of other heroes and officers came washing out into the street, boots quickly scuffling in their direction.
You watched as officers cordoned off the street, ushering curious civilians back into their homes, and began to document the damage Matsui had caused. Several squad cars and an ambulance rolled into view, their lights sending flashes off of the surrounding windows, and Matsui and the pencil QRA were bundled away into them.
An officer came over to take a statement from you, and you fumbled your way through an explanation, mind still churning. You’d ended it. For all the talk about the superiority of their power, all it had taken was a wild throw from you to make both Matsui and the QRA stumble. All it had taken was the strength of your conviction to give Bakugou the opportunity to disable them for good.
Bakugou stalked over as soon as he’d given his own report, tearing off his gloves with his teeth and stowing them on his belt. His hair was a little windswept, and there was soot along the hinge of his jaw, but he was otherwise unharmed, not even a single burn through the fabric of his uniform. He glowed with the flush of a fight, of a job well done, and you thought he had never looked quite so handsome.
“Nice shot, princess,” he told you, flashing you a wicked white smile, sending a searing heat pooling in your stomach. “Thought I told you to run though.”
But he didn’t seem angry, because then his calloused fingers came up to take your chin, and he seized your mouth in a hard kiss.
You felt yourself flush all the way down to your toes, kissing him back eagerly. You were heady with your own success, with the way Bakugou had looked at you.
“We’re gonna be late for the interview,” you said when he finally let your mouth free.
Bakugou looked momentarily like he would rather bear you back off into the safehouse than let you go to the interview. And you did plan to thank him incredibly thoroughly for the save, once you’d made it back into some semblance of privacy together.
But you had things to say, still. Things to say now especially that you’d shut down a couple more internet trolls so handily. Now that you’d proven the ferocity of their ideology didn’t hold up in the real world—not when regular, everyday people like you had something to say about it.
“Always running that fucking mouth, brat,” Bakugou said, but his tone was nothing but appreciative. He set upon a nearby officer with alacrity, commandeering him and his car to shuttle you over to the studio, stuffing himself in after you resolutely.
He kept a hand on you the entire way, and stalked after you down the halls of the studio, sending the hordes of producers and production assistants into a frenzy. When they finally let you out of hair and makeup after scrubbing all the street grime off of you, he watched you carefully, those eyes hot on you as you settled into the chair opposite your interviewer, his mouth quirked up in a ferociously appreciative smirk.
The interviewer greeted you, and you answered her back, feeling safe and warm and secure under your boyfriend’s watch. And then the interview began, and she prompted you carefully, the same questions you’d been running over in your head for days.
“We’ve asked you here today for commentary on the cultural barriers that quirkless people like yourself face, and the National Diet’s efforts in passing a bill that would help tackle these issues,” she said, nodding at you warmly. “Is there anything you think is especially important for people to know about what it’s like to be quirkless in a society like ours?”
You took a breath in, and reviewed your answer determinedly. You’d bash quirk supremacy the way you had Matsui, like it was a neck and you were a bit of gravel, kicked up in all the fighting.
You leaned in and ran your mouth like you always did. This time, with nothing but firm resolution, assurance, and one admittedly hot, supportive boyfriend behind you.

END NOTES: We finally made it, guys!! Thank you so much for sticking with this series for what ended up being over 1.5 years, my longest fic span yet, and being patient with me every step of the way. I have said it before but this fic especially has been my biggest challenge, and I am so grateful for the support that helped me make it all the way to the end.
I also want to say thank you again to my sensitivity readers @darkenedniqhts and @cat-slippered for helping me tell this story in the cleanest and most respectful way possible. I would not have tried my hand at anything with themes like these if it wasn't for you guys helping hold me accountable and educating me at key points. I appreciate everything you have done to make both the story and myself better over the course of its telling. I will be forever grateful.

it wasn't unnoticeable that jack has a huge crush on y/n. he was always commenting, liking and reposting her post. he watched all of the movies that she started in and rewatched the shows. he even tried to get jenna to set you two up.
he would've made a move earlier but he was afraid of rejection. maybe it was the fact that he had alcohol in his system that he messaged you.
all he said was a simple hey, "really?" he thought to himself. he should've said something to intrigue her more. he threw his phone and ran away acting like a little girl. it was probably about ten minutes later that he finally decided to check his phone.
y/n scrolled through her messages until she saw his name pop up. all he said was a simple greeting, but you still was amused by it. she tapped the message quickly thinking of the best thing to send back.
hi :)
it shocked him that he even got a reply back. he tried his best to understand what just happened to him. (he’d probably start kicking his feet like a little girl)
i’m going to be honest, i don’t know what to say because i’m still in shock
that was the only thing that could come out after 20 minutes of thinking. she replied pretty quickly to him.
ill give you time to process this ;) i’m going out to lunch, maybe you can join me?
hell yes :)
jack spent at least a half an hour trying to pick a outfit. after he still didn’t figure it out he resorted to calling his mom. which she helped him pick out a outfit quickly.
it was a understatement to say jack was nervous. this is all he wanted. he wanted her. he got into the car and drove to the panera. to be honest he wasn't the biggest fan of panera, but he did it all for her. he would do anything for her.
she sat there waiting with a fresh bowl of soup. he was at least 30 minutes late to their "date". the sound of the bell from the door made her meet the eyes of jack. she smiled waving him over to her.
"hey! sorry i'm late, i couldn't pick out an outfit to wear." she nodded to him. why did she make him that nervous? it's not like they never interacted before. maybe only one or two times.
"i promise i'm friendly," she said brushing her hand against him. that didn't calm any of his nerves. he would just have to be himself and hope she would accept him.
an hour later they finally began to laugh together. it was almost like they had known each other for a long time. he wondered if she actually thought about him more than a friend.
"i really do like you, no matter what i'll wait for you." jack said. you both finished up your lunch and were getting ready to leave. you looked up to him meeting his puppy dog eyes. no one could say no to that.
you looked at his lips and then directly into his eyes. leaning up you attached yourself to his lips. your arm reaching up to curl in his hair.
"i'll text you later stranger," she gave him once last kiss on the lips. she never met someone like her. someone that she could spend her life laughing with. she wondered if something would actually happen between them.

Let It Ride - Supernatural rewrite
So, apparently I have nothing to do (ignore all my responsabilities) and I decided to write a Dean X Reader rewrite of supernatural to go with my rewatching of supernatural. 😊
I do not own the characters, nor the storylines. I'm simply adding a twist to the episodes. Please feel free to help me out with constructive criticism on the story or the writing. Sorry for the mistakes, not proofread and english is not my first language.
Hope y'all enjoy it.
Word Count: 7k
1x01 - Pilot
Tumblr media
KINDE, MICHIGAN - April 10, 1988
John Winchester and Martin Creaser were finishing setting up to go into a vampire’s nest. Martin received a tip on the nest around the area and called John for backup, so the man left the two boys in the motel a city over and met with his friend there.
After Martin spread the ashes of the scent-blocking mixture on himself, he handed John for him to do the same.
“How many did you say?” He asked in a whisper to his friend, even though he knew whispering wouldn’t do shit if a vampire was close enough to hear them.
“If I’m not mistaken, 10 or 12.” He said, grabbing his knife, “Ready?” he asked as he closed the trunk of the car.
Tumblr media
As they entered the warehouse where the nest was located, as quiet as they could be, they started to hear some voices. The vampires were all anxious, the newest ones had brought a family for dinner, including a child, which was already unusual, but the child had gotten away.
“Kevin will actually kill us when we don’t find the human child.” one of them said.
“So get off up and go find her. He and the others gave us 30 minutes” the other replied.
As the 2 hunters got to a corner, where they could see the glow of a fire already, they looked at each other, asking, silently, if the other was ready. John made a mental note to see if the girl had actually survived when they were done. They nodded to each other and started with the two that were already there arguing.
Twenty minutes later, 11 vampires dead, 7 nasty scratches on the hunters and one broken rib for Martin, they had cleared the nest. John was looking for the human child for less than 10 minutes, and after a promise to not hurt her and explaining what he did for a job and what had happened she came out of a pile of something very stinky, the reason they weren’t caughting her scent easily.
John, very impressed by the 7 year old ability of running and hiding from a nest of vampires, without even knowing such things existed before this experience, took her to the motel with him, to decide later, what to do with her.
Tumblr media
17 Years Later
Y/N was at Bobby’s house, the hunter who was as much of a father figure to her as John was, since she spent many days at his house growing up with Dean and Sam, when she received the text from Dean saying he was going after Sam. She knew John hadn’t checked in with Dean in a few days now, and the son was getting more anxious by the hour. She asked him to let her know when he decided to go after the older man.
She was going with him to find his father. She owned John as much. After her parents were killed by a nest of vampires, by the age of seven, and she ‘escaped from something some trained hunters wouldn’t’, as John liked to put it, he cared for her, along with his boys. The three of them grew up together after that. She became a daughter for him, and he, a father to her. So she was very worried for him.
As she finished loading her saddlebags on her Harley, the one Dean had fixed for her one summer, Bobby came out of the house and handed her the last of her pocket knives.
“Do I have to tell you to be careful out there?” the older hunter asked.
“Always am.” She smiled warmly and closed the bags. Circling the bike and hugging him. “I’ll check in as soon as I meet the boys.”
“Don’t know if Sam will join you. He has always been a hardhead, and you know it.” he kissed the top of her head before letting her go.
“It’s his dad, I’d like to think he will take this into consideration.” she answered, throwing one leg over her bike, but her voice lacked conviction.
“Say hi to them for me.” Bobby said as she started the engine on and began driving.
“I will! Bye”
Tumblr media
Meanwhile Dean was trying to convince Sam to go find their dad, on the outside of his apartment.
“Come on. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't that bad.” Dean says as he started going downstairs again while Sam follows him.
“Yeah? When I told Dad I was scared of the thing in my closet, he gave me a .45.” Dean stops at the door.
“Well, what was he supposed to do?
“I was nine years old! He was supposed to say, don't be afraid of the dark.” Sam says exasperated, not believing he is having this conversation.
“Don't be afraid of the dark? Are you kidding me? Of course you should be afraid of the dark. You know what's out there.” Dean answers scolding his little brother.
“Yeah, I know, but still. The way we grew up, after Mom was killed, and Dad's obsession to find the thing that killed her.” the youngest says and Dean glances outside. “But we still haven't found the damn thing. So we kill everything we can find.”
“We save a lot of people doing it, too.” he looks at his little brother.
“You think Mom would have wanted this for us?” Dean rolls his eyes and slams the door open heading outside. There's a short flight of stairs from the door to the parking lot. Dean and Sam start climbing it. “The weapon training, and melting the silver into bullets? Man, Dean, we were raised like warriors.”
“So what are you gonna do? You're just gonna live some normal, apple pie life? Is that it?” Dean says as they cross the parking lot and head to Baby, Dean’s Impala.
“No. Not normal. Safe.”
“And that's why you ran away.” Dean looks away after finishing.
“I was just going to college. It was Dad who said if I was gonna go I should stay gone. And that's what I'm doing.”
“Yeah, well, Dad's in real trouble right now. If he's not dead already. I can feel it.” after a pause, Dean says “I can't do this alone.”
“Yes you can.” Sam says as Dean looks down.
“Yeah, well, I don't want to.” Sam sighs and looks down, thinking. He meets his brother’s eyes again.
“What was he hunting?” Dean opens the trunk of the Impala, feeling a bit more hopeful, then the spare-tire compartment.
“All right, let's see, where the hell did I put that thing?” Dean says as he props the compartment open with a shotgun and digs through the clutter.
“So when Dad left, why didn't you go with him?”
“I was working my own gig. This, uh, voodoo thing, down in New Orleans.” Sam looks incredulous to his brother.
“Dad let you go on a hunting trip by yourself?” Dean looks over at Sam.
“I'm twenty-six, dude.” it’s his time to look incredulous to his brother as he pulls some papers out of a folder.”All right, here we go. So Dad was checking out this two-lane blacktop just outside of Jericho, California. About a month ago, this guy.” he hands one of the papers to Sam. “They found his car, but he vanished. Completely MIA.”
The paper is a printout of an article from the Jericho Herald, headlined ‘Centennial Highway Disappearance’ and dated Sept. 19th 2005; it has a man's picture, captioned ‘Andrew Carey MISSING’. Sam reads it and glances up.
“So maybe he was kidnapped.”
“Yeah. Well, here's another one in April.” Dean tosses down another Jericho Herald article. “Another one in December 'oh-four,” another article “'Oh-three,” another one “'Ninety-eight,” another “'Ninety-two,” one more “ten of them over the past twenty years.” he throws a pile of the lats articles. Dean takes the article back from Sam and picks up the rest of the stack, putting them back in the folder. “All men, all the same five-mile stretch of road.”
Dean pulls a bag out of another part of the arsenal.”It started happening more and more, so Dad went to go dig around. That was about three weeks ago. I hadn't heard from him since, which is bad enough.” Dean grabs a handheld tape recorder. “Then I get this voicemail yesterday.”
He presses play. The recording is staticky and the signal was clearly breaking up.
“Dean...something big is starting to happen...I need to try and figure out what's going on. It may... Be very careful, Dean. We're all in danger.” John's voice comes and goes and then Dean presses stop.
“You know there's EVP on that?” Sam asked.
“Not bad, Sammy. Kinda like riding a bike, isn't it?” Dean grins at his brother and Sam shakes his head. “All right. I slowed the message down, I ran it through a gold wave, took out the hiss, and this is what I got.” He presses play again.
“I can never go home…” a woman’s voice comes up this time and Dean presses stop.
“Never go home.” Sam repeats more to himself than his brother.
Dean drops the recorder, puts down the shotgun, stands straight, and shuts the trunk, then leans on it. “You know, in almost two years I've never bothered you, never asked you for a thing.” he tilts his head “Besides, even Y/n/n is coming to help. This is serious, I can feel it.”
Sam looks away and sighs, then looks back. “All right. I'll go. I'll help you find him.” Dean nods. “But I have to get back first thing Monday. Just wait here.” Sam turns to go back to the apartment. He turns back when Dean speaks.
“What's first thing Monday?”
“I have this...I have an interview.” he answers.
“What, a job interview? Skip it.” the older brother says.
“It's a law school interview, and it's my whole future on a plate.” Sam tells him.
“Law school?” Dean smirks.
“So we got a deal or not?” Dean says nothing.

Jericho, California
After driving the whole night and stopping to grab some breakfast, Y/N passes by a bridge full of police officers and spots Baby by the road. She gets off the bike and leaves her helmet on the seat.
“You did have another one just like this, correct?” Dean’s voice is the first one she hears.
“Yeah, that's right. About a mile up the road. There've been others before that.” the officer closer to them says.
“So, this victim, you knew him?” Sam asks and the officer nods.
.
“Town like this, everybody knows everybody.” he says as Dean circles the car, looking around.
“Any connection between the victims, besides that they're all men?” Dean asks.
“No. Not so far as we can tell.”
“So what's the theory?” She asks when she reaches the three man.
“And you are?” the deputy turns around and asks when they all spot her.
“Oh, she’s with us.” Sam covers for her going over to Dean.
“I see. Honestly, we don't know. Serial murder? Kidnapping ring?”
“Well, that is exactly the kind of crack police work I'd expect out of you guys.” Dean says, receiving a stomp on foot from Sam.
“Thank you for your time.” Y/N says and starts walking away, being followed by Sam and Dean, shaking her head.
“Gentlemen.” Sam dips his head passing by the police officers. The deputy Jaffe watches them go. Dean smacks Sam on the head.
“Ow! What was that for?” Sam gets startled and cradles his head.
“Why'd you have to step on my foot?” The older asks.
“Why do you have to talk to the police like that?” y/n asks over her shoulder once they are out of earshot from all the officers.
“Come on. They don't really know what's going on. We're all alone on this. I mean, if we're going to find Dad we've got to get to the bottom of this thing ourselves.” Dean says before Sam clears his throat and looks over at y/n.
“Hey, y/n/n. I missed you” he smiles.
“Well, you wouldn’t have had to if you kept in touch.” She turns crossing her arms “Or at least if you answered your messages.” she scolds him.
“I know, I’m sorry. But I thought you’d be mad at me for leaving.” he looks down.
But before y/n could answer she looks to her side and sees the Sheriff FBI agents.
“Can I help you kids?” the sheriff asks.
“No, sir, we were just leaving.” Dean answers and as the FBI agents walk past him, he nods at each of them. “Agent Mulder. Agent Scully.”
The three of them head back to Baby and the Harley and head out.
Tumblr media
“Hey Chip, how’ve you been?” Dean asks you and pulls you into a hug when you get close enough
“I missed you too, Cherry Pie” you hug him back, retorting the stupid nicknames you have called each other since childhood. “You too.” she says to Sam after her and Dean let go, opening her arms to him.
“It’s been a while.” he says, hugging her.
“Ugh, I hate how tall you’ve gotten…” she says rolling her eyes when they let go. The boys chuckle “So, what are you guys thinkins?”
“The deputy’s daughter was dating the victim, so we thought about starting to asking her some questions” Dean says “And I'll bet you that's her.” he says pointing to the girl hanging posters.
“Yeah.” Sam agrees when they start walking up to the young girl.
“You must be Amy.” Dean says as they reach her.
“Yeah.” She answers
“Yeah, Troy told us about you. We're his uncles. Ans aunt. I'm Dean, this is Sammy and that’s y/n.” he points to the two of you as he speaks and the two smile at her.
“He never mentioned you to me.” Amy starts to walk away. The three of them start walking with her.
“Well, that's Troy, I guess. We're not around much, we're up in Modesto.” Dean chuckles. ‘Nice save’ y/n thinks.
“So, we're looking for him too, and we're kinda asking around.” As Sam tells her another young woman comes up to Amy and puts a hand on her arm.
“Hey, are you okay?” she asks Amy and the girl nods.
“You mind if we ask you a couple questions?” y/n asks the girl who looks at her and nods again.
They all head to a dinner and seat in a booth, Amy and her friend seat on one side, and Dean, y/n and Sam seat opposite to them.
“I was on the phone with Troy. He was driving home. He said he would call me right back, and...he never did.” Amy is telling them after y/n asked about the last time she spoke to him.
“He didn't say anything strange, or out of the ordinary?” Dean asks and Amy shakes her head before saying.
“No. Nothing I can remember.”
“I like your necklace.” Sam says pointing to her neck.
Amy holds the pendant she's wearing, a pentagram in a circle, and looks down at it. “Troy gave it to me. Mostly to scare my parents—” the girl laughs “—with all that devil stuff.”
Sam laughs a little and looks down, then up. Dean looks over while y/n assess the girls.
“Actually, it means just the opposite. A pentagram is protection against evil. Really powerful. I mean, if you believe in that kind of thing.” Sam says.
“Okay. Thank you, Unsolved Mysteries.” Deansays taking his arm off the back of y/n seat and leans forward. “Here's the deal, ladies. The way Troy disappeared, something's not right. So if you've heard anything…”
The two girls look at each other. They were hiding something and the trio could see it.
“What is it?” Dean asks frowning.
“Well, it's just... I mean, with all these guys going missing, people talk.” Amy’s friend speaks for the first time since they got into the dinner.
“What do they talk about?” Dean and Sam speak in unison.
“It's kind of this local legend. This one girl? She got murdered out on Centennial, like decades ago.” Dean and y/n look at each other while Sam looks at the girl attentively, nodding. ”Well, supposedly she's still out there. She hitchhikes, and whoever picks her up? Well, they disappear forever.”
The trio thanked the girls and leave the dinner, deciding to go to the library.

A web browser is open to the archive search page for the Jericho Herald. The words "Female Murder Hitchhiking" are typed into the search box. Dean clicks GO; the screen tells him there are "(0) Result". Dean replaces "Hitchhiking" with "Centennial Highway" with the same response. Samis sitting next to him, watching.
“Let me try.” Sam says and tries to type but Dean smacks his hand.
“I got it.” he says and y/n rolls her eyes, standing behind their chairs. Sam shoves Dean's chair out of the way and takes over. “Dude!” hitting Sam in the shoulder. “You're such a control freak.”
“So angry spirits are born out of violent death, right?” Sam asks looking at the screen.
“Yeah.” y/n answers looking down at the boy.
“Well, maybe it's not murder.” Sam replaces "Murder" with "Suicide" and finds an article entitled "Suicide on Centennial". Dean glances at Sam and y/n glances at Dean grinning. Sam opens the article, dated April 25, 1981.
“This was 1981. Constance Welch, twenty-four years old, jumps off Sylvania Bridge, drowns in the river.” Sam says while skimming through the article and y/n leans over his shoulder to read it as well.
“Does it say why she did it?” Dean asks trying to see it too.
“Yeah.” Sam answers.
“What?” he asks looking at his brother.
“An hour before they found her, she calls 911. Apparently her two little kids are in the bathtub. She leaves them alone for a minute, and when she comes back, they aren't breathing. Both die.” y/n reads through the article ans Dean raises his eyebrows.
Dean murmurs. "'Our babies were gone, and Constance just couldn't bear it,' said husband Joseph Welch." Sam read a passage while Dean pointed at a picture of the bridge they were earlier talking with the police officers on the corner.
“The bridge look familiar to you?” he looks over at the two.
They all headed to the bridge and are walking along it, they stop to lean on the railing and look down at the river. The smell of the river gets to them and they lean back.
“So this is where Constance took the swan dive.” Dean says raising his eyebrows.
“So you think Dad would have been here?” Sam looks over at Dean and y/n.
“Well, he's chasing the same story and we're chasing him.” y/n answers and continue walkin, with the boys following her.
“Okay, so now what?” he aks.
“Now we keep digging until we find him. Might take a while.” Dean says.
Sam stops. “Dean, I told you, I've gotta get back by Monday—”
Dean turns around.”Monday. Right. The interview.” he finishes in unison with the youngest. Y/n stops and look at both of them.
“Yeah.” Sam nods.
“Yeah, I forgot. You're really serious about this, aren't you? You think you're just going to become some lawyer? Marry your girl?” Dean asks sarcastically.
“Maybe. Why not?” he asks.
“Does Jessica know the truth about you? I mean, does she know about the things you've done?” y/n knows Sam’s girlfriend is called Jessica and that he has an interview on monday because Dean told her on the phone when Sam agreed to come.
Sam steps closer and so does y/n, knowing they can start fighting at any time. “No, and she's not ever going to know.” Sam says frowning.
“Well, that's healthy.” Dean retorts “You can pretend all you want, Sammy. But sooner or later you're going to have to face up to who you really are.”
“And who's that?” Sam asks growing annoyed.
“You're one of us.” Dean poits at him and y/n.
Sam steps closer to Dean again “No. I'm not like you. This is not going to be my life.”
“You have a responsibility to—” Dean starts, but Sam interrupts.
“To Dad? And his crusade? If it weren't for pictures I wouldn't even know what Mom looks like.” he says throwing his arms up. “And what difference would it make? Even if we do find the thing that killed her, Mom's gone.” Ouch, even y/n felt that blow. “And she isn't coming back.” Dean sidesteps y/n who was between them to try and stop their fight and grabs Sam by the collar and shoves him up against the railing of the bridge looking in his eyes.
“Don't talk about her like that.” Dean releases Sam and walks away. Y/n turns to go after him and sees Constance standing at the edge of the bridge at the same time he does.
“Guys.” he says. They go to stand him. Constance looks over at them, then steps forward off the edge. They all run to the railing and look over.
“Where'd she go?” y/n asks.
“I don't know.” Sam says. Behind them, the Impala's engine starts and its headlights come on. Dean and Sam turn to look.
“What the—” Dean starts and cuts himself off.
“Who's driving your car?” y/n asks looking over at Dean who pulls the keys out of his pocket and jingles them. Sam glances at them. The car jerks into motion, heading straight for them. They turn and start to run.
The car is moving faster than they are; when it gets too close, they dive over the railing. The car comes to a halt.
Sam has caught himself on the edge of the bridge and is hanging on. He pulls himself up onto the bridge and looks around.
“Dean? Y/n?” Sam yells after halting himself up the bridge. Below, a filthy and annoyed Dean crawls out of the water, panting, falling beside y/n, who’s already trying to catch her breath on the mud. “Hey! Are you all right?”
Dean holds up one hand in an A-OK sign. “We’re super.” he answers as y/n hold a thumbs up. Sam laughs, relieved, and scoots away from the edge.
Dean shuts the hood of his car and leans on it.
“Your car all right?” y/n asks
“Yeah, whatever she did to it, seems all right now.” he says and looks over to the bridge “That Constance chick, what a bitch!” He yells into the night.
“Well, she doesn't want us digging around, that's for sure.” Y/n sighs.
“So where's the job go from here, geniuses?” Sam ask looking at both of them settling on the hood next to y/n. Dean throws up his arms in frustration, then flicks mud off his hands facing the other two. Sam sniffs, then looks at y/n. “You two smell like a toilet.”
They look down.
Tumblr media
They got to a motel and Dean hands the front desk A VersaBank MasterCard in the name of Hector Aframian. “One room, please.” he says smiling, still filthy, with Sam and y/n right behind him. The clerk picks up the card and looks at it.
“You guys having a reunion or something?” he asks looking up. Y/n frowns and Sam asks.
“What do you mean?”
“I had another guy, Burt Aframian. He came and bought out a room for the whole month.” Dean looks back at Sam.
Sam is trying to pick the lock in the motel room that belonged to John while Dean and y/n keep watch. The motel door swings open, but neither notice. Sam hides the picks and stands up. Sam reaches out of the room to grab Dean’s shoulder and y/n’s wrist yank them inside. Sam closes the door behind them. The trio look around—every vertical surface has papers pinned to it: maps, newspaper clippings, pictures, notes. There are books on the desk and assorted junk on the floor and bed, including something with a hazardous-materials symbol.
“Whoa.” y/n says walking to the closest wall.
Dean turns on a light by the bed and picks up a half-eaten hamburger sitting there sniffing  it and recoils. Sam steps over a line of salt on the floor and crunches to check it out.
“I don't think he's been here for a couple days at least.” Dean says dropping the burger back in the bedside table and heading to look over the wall y/n is looking.
Sam fingers the salt on the floor and looks up. “Salt, cats-eye shells...he was worried. Trying to keep something from coming in.” He gets up and walks to the wall opposite to his brother and sister-like. Dean looks at the papers covering one wall.
“Centennial Highway victims.” y/n says to Dean and head to the wall Sam is looking. Dean nods. The victims seen on the wall include Mark somebody, William Durrell, Scott Nifong who disappeared in 1987 at age 25, and somebody Parks. Mark, Durrell, and Nifong are all white males, judging by the photos.
“I don't get it. I mean, different men, different jobs—” Dean says trying to make sense of it “—ages, ethnicities. There's always a connection, right? What do these guys have in common?” While Dean talks, Sam looks at the papers taped to the other wall. He finds something about the Bell Witch, two people being burned alive, a skeletal person blowing a horn at several scared people with the note "MORTIS DANSE", a column about "Devils + Demons", another about "Sirens, Witches, the possessed", a wooden pentacle, and a note that says "Woman in White" above a printout of the Jericho Herald article on Constance’s suicide.
Y/n turns on another lamp. “Dad figured it out.” Sam says looking at the girl that is at his side. Dean turns to look.
“He found the same article we did. Constance Welch. She's a woman in white.” y/n says looking back at him. Dean looks at the photos of Constance's victims.
“You sly dogs.” He turns back to the other two. “All right, so if we're dealing with a woman in white, Dad would have found the corpse and destroyed it.”
“She might have another weakness.” Sam replies looking back at the wall.
“Well, Dad would want to make sure.” Dean crosses to them. “He'd dig her up. Does it say where she's buried?”
“No, not that I can tell. If I were John, though, I'd go ask her husband.” y/n says tapping the picture of Joseph Welch. “If he's still alive.” Sam goes to look at something else.
“All right. Why don't you, uh, see if you can find an address, while we go and get cleaned up.” Dean starts to walk away and y/n follows, grabbing her bag from the floor. Sam turns.
“Hey, Dean?” Dean stops and turns back while y/n passes him. “What I said earlier, about Mom and Dad, I'm sorry.”
Dean holds up a hand. “No chick-flick moments.” Sam laughs and nods.
“All right. Jerk.” he looks down.
“Bitch.” dean retorts smiling.
“I call dibs on the shower!” y/n yells and run to the bathroom, closing the door before Dean can catch up.
“Now she’s the jerk.” He says and you and Sam laugh.
You take a quick shower and leave the bathroom so Dean can get cleaned too. You grab your phone and sit on the chair texting Bobby, saying you’re okay, with the boys and already knees deep in the case John was working on. Sam notices something, and crosses over for a closer look. A rosary hangs in front of a large mirror, and stuck into the mirror frame is a photo of John sitting on the hood of the Impala, next to a young Dean in a baseball cap, a young y/n on his back and with an even younger Sam, on John’s lap. Sam takes the photo off the mirror and holds it, smiling sadly.
A while later, Sam paces, holding his phone, and sits down on the bed, he’s listening to a voicemail Jess left for him. Dean, clean again, comes out of the bathroom and grabs his jacket. He shrugs it on one shoulder as he crosses the room.
“Hey, guys. I'm starving, I'm gonna grab a little something to eat in that diner down the street. You want anything?” he asks looking back at the two.
“No.” sam says listening to the message.
“Aframian's buying.” Dean smiles and waves the credit card to them both.
“I accept some fries, please.” y/n says smiling widely looking up from the article about Constance she was rereading. Sam shakes his head again.
A couple of minutes pass by and y/n’s phone rings, when she picks up is Dean.
“Man, five-oh, take off.” y/n stands up.
“What about you?” she asks worried.
“Uh, they kinda spotted me. Go find Dad.” Dean hangs up the phone. She looks through the corner of the window.
“They got Dean, we have to leave” she says to Sam that goes to the window to.
“What?” Sam asks. They see the deputy approaching and dart away from the window.

Sam and y/n, knock on the door at Joseph Welch house. An old man opens it: Joseph Welch.
“Hi. Are you Joseph Welch?” Sam asks when the man looks them over.
“Yeah.” he answers.
The three of them are walking down the junk-filled driveway, Joseph is holding the photo Sam found on John's motel room mirror. “Yeah, he was older, but that's him.” the older man hands the photo back to Sam “He came by three or four days ago. Said he was a reporter.”
“That's right. We're working on a story together.” y/n says smiling warmly and Joseph looks her up and down again.
“Well, I don't know what the hell kinda story you're working on. The questions he asked me?” the man frowns.
“About your wife Constance?” the girl asks.
“He asked me where she was buried.” He says never taking his eyes from her.
“And where is that again?” Sam jumps in the conversation.
“What, I gotta go through this twice?” He looks over at Sam.
“It's fact-checking. If you don't mind.” he explains trying to keep their cover.
“In a plot. Behind my old place over on Breckenridge.” Joseph looks down.
“And why did you move?” y/n asks.
“I'm not gonna live in the house where my children died.” He answers not looking up. Sam stops walking, y/n and Joseph do too.
“Mr. Welch, did you ever marry again?” Sam asks.
“No way.” He darts up to Sam, “Constance, she was the love of my life. Prettiest woman I ever known.”
“So you had a happy marriage?” y/n continues. But Joseph doesn’t answer right away.
“Definitely.” He says after a while.
“Well, that should do it. Thanks for your time.” Sam turns toward the Impala. But y/n hesitates. Joseph walks away, she waits a moment, then speaks again to Joseph.
“Mr. Welch, did you ever hear of a woman in white?
Joseph turns around. “A what?”
“A woman in white. Or sometimes weeping woman?” she explains further and Sam goes back to her side.
Joseph just stares at them. “It's a ghost story. Well, it's more of a phenomenon, really.” Sam starts back “Um, they're spirits. They've been sighted for hundreds of years, dozens of places, in Hawaii, Mexico, lately in Arizona, Indiana”
“All these are different women. You understand. But all share the same story.” y/n continues.
“Kids, I don't care much for nonsense.” Joseph walks away. Sam looks back at y/n and follows the old man.
“See, when they were alive, their husbands were unfaithful to them.” Joseph stops.
“And these women, basically suffering from temporary insanity, murdered their children.” y/n follows Sam and Joseph turns around. “Then once they realized what they had done, they took their own lives. So now their spirits are cursed, walking back roads, waterways. And if they find an unfaithful man, they kill him. And that man is never seen again.”
“You think...you think that has something to do with...Constance? You smartasses!” Joseph looks incredulously between them.
“You tell us.” Sam tells him.
“I mean, maybe...maybe I made some mistakes. But no matter what I did, Constance, she never would have killed her own children. Now, you get the hell out of here! And you don't come back!” The man says, telling everything the duo needed to hear. Joseph's face shakes, whether from anger or grief it's impossible to tell. After a long moment, he turns away. Sam sighs.

When Dean leaves the station, after escaping because the cops had to investigate some gunshots from a 911 call, he spots y/n leaning against her bike at the corner of the street. He heads towards her.
“Fake 911 phone call? Chip, I don't know, that's pretty illegal.” He says smirking when he gets close enough.
“You're welcome.” She grins back and uncrosses her arms.
“Listen, we gotta talk.” Dean’s expression changes.
“Tell me about it. So the husband was unfaithful. We are dealing with a woman in white. And she's buried behind her old house, so Sam is already heading there and it should have been John’s next stop.
“Chip, would you shut up for a second?” Dean tries to talk but the girl doesn’t stop.
“We just can't figure out why John hasn't destroyed the corpse yet.” she keeps going, looking over Dean’s shoulder.
“Well, that's what I'm trying to tell you. He's gone. Dad left Jericho.”
“What? How do you know?” she asks, confused. Dean simply holds John’s journal up in his hands.
“ What? He doesn't go anywhere without that thing.” the girl looks at the old journal.
“Yeah, well, he did this time.” The man says and flips through, stopping at one page that says ‘DEAN 35-111’ “And he left a message, the same old ex-Marine crap, when he wants to let us know where he's going.”
“Coordinates. Where to?” she asks, reaching and grabbing the journal.
“I'm not sure yet.” he says handing her it.
“I don't understand. I mean, what could be so important that John would just skip out in the middle of a job?” She looks up to the man in front of her “Dean, what the hell is going on?”
He shrugs and grabs her cellphone, that was sitting in the bike’s display, calling Sam.
“Hey y/n. I’m almost at the house, is Dean out yet?” Sam says after picking up, but then gasps and a tire squeal is heard before the line going dead.
“Sammy? Sam!” Dean asks before looking at y/n wide eyed.
“Let’s go!” She says hopping on the bike.
The car pulls up in front of Constance’s house and stops. The engine shuts off and so do the lights.
“Don't do this.” Sam says looking through the rearview mirror to Constance, who’s on the backseat. She flickers.
“I can never go home.” Her voice is sad.
“You're scared to go home.” Sam realizes, looking back but Constance isn't there. He glances around and back and sees her in the shotgun seat. She climbs into his lap, shoving him back against the seat hard enough to recline the seat. Sam struggles.
“Hold me. I'm so cold.” She says with her hands roaming through his torso.
“You can't kill me. I'm not unfaithful. I've never been!” Sam says determined.
“You will be. Just hold me.” Constance kisses Sam as he continues to struggle, reaching for the keys. She pulls back and disappears, a flash of something horrible behind her face as she vanishes. Sam looks around for a moment, then yells in pain feeling his chest on fire. There are five new holes burned through the fabric of his shirt, matching to Constance's fingers: she flickers in front of him, her hand reaching into his chest. A gunshot goes off, shattering the window and startling the ghost. Dean approaches, still firing at her while y/n went to the backseat, trying to open the door. Constance glares at Dean and vanishes, then reappears, and he keeps firing until she disappears again. Sam manages to sit up and start the car.
“I'm taking you home.” Sam says and drives forward. Dean and y/n stare after the car as it smashes through the side of the house. They hurry through the wreckage to the passenger side of the car.
“Sam! Sam! You okay?” Dean yells after his brother.
“I think…” Sam starts from inside the car.
“Can you move?” y/n asks opening the passenger side door.
“Yeah. Help me?” he answers, reaching his hand Dean leans through to give Sam a hand.
Constance picks up a large framed photograph: the woman is Constance and the children are presumably hers. Dean helps Sam out of the car.
“There you go.” he says onde his little brother is on his foot. Y/n closes the car door. They look around and see Constance; she looks up. She glares at them and throws the picture down. A bureau scoots towards them, pinning them against the car. The lights flicker; Constance looks around, scared. Water begins to pour down the staircase. She goes over. At the top are the children from the photograph. They hold hands and speak in chorus.
“You've come home to us, Mommy.” two ethereal voices sound in unison. Constance looks at them, distraught. Suddenly they are behind her; they embrace her tightly and she screams, her image flickering. In a surge of energy, still screaming, Constance and the two children disappear. Sam and Dean shove the bureau over and the trio go look at the spot where ghosts vanished.
“So this is where she drowned her kids.” Dean says looking up. Sam nods.
“That's why she could never go home. She was too scared to face them.” He looks at the photograph
“You found her weak spot. Nice work, Sammy.” Y/n smiles at him and Dean slaps Sam on the chest where he's been injured and walks away. Sam laughs through the pain.
“Yeah, I wish I could say the same for Dean. What were you thinking shooting Casper in the face, you freak?” He ask laughing incredulously.
“Hey. Saved your ass.” Dean says, leaning over to look at his car “I'll tell you another thing. If you screwed up my car?” he twists around to look at Sam “I'll kill you.” Sam and y/n laugh.

The Impala tears down the road; the right headlight is out; with the Harley following.
Sam has the journal open to "DEAN 35-111" and a map open on his lap and is finding coordinates with a ruler, a flashlight tucked between chin and shoulder. His phone on speaker to y/n. She has the phone inside her helmet.
“Okay, here's where Dad went.” Sam says to both dean and the phone “It's called Blackwater Ridge, Colorado.”
“Sounds charming. How far?” y/n asks through the call.
“About six hundred miles.” he answers her.
“Hey, if we shag ass we could make it by morning.” Dean says, then looking at the phone “Can you make it, Chip?”
“Yeah.” she says at the same time Sam starts.
“Dean, I, um…” he hesitates
“You're not going.” y/n says.
“The interview's in like, ten hours. I gotta be there.” he looks at the phone then at the bike that lined to his window. Dean nods, disappointed, and returns his attention to the road.
“Yeah. Yeah, whatever.” Dean says glancing at Sam.
“We'll take you home.” Sam turns the flashlight off.
“You can hang up now. We’ll talk at Stanford.” Sam does as he’s told and they drive on.
They pull up in front of the apartment, Dean still frowning. Sam gets out and y/n takes her helmet off. “Call me if you find him?” Sam asks Dean who nods.”And maybe I can meet up with you later, huh?” he tells y/n, that smiles at him, but before she can say anything Dean says:
“Yeah, all right.” Sam pats the car door twice, side hugs y/n and turns away. Dean gets out of the car and heads to y/n side.
“Sam?” Sam turns back. “You know, we made a hell of a team back there. The three of us”
“Yeah.” he smiles. Dean turns to y/n and they start talking between them. Deciding their plan. Sam watches them talk for a couple of seconds and sighs, turning and heading inside.
After Sam gets inside the building y/n comments. “You know, he might be making the right choice. If he can have a normal life, who are we to deprive him of that?” she says getting off the bike to look into Dean’s eyes.
“I know. And I really hope he can do it, but I don’t think it is possible.” he sighs and rests his forehead on her chest “Besides, I’m really gonna miss him.”
“Yeah, so am I.” She puts her hands on the back of Dean’s head. She knows the moment is not about that, but she can’t help feeling some butterflies on her stomach by his action. Doesn’t matter how many times they share those moments she always feels them, even though she knows he only sees her as an annoying little girl who was raised like his sister. Sighting, she looks to Sam’s building to try and clear her head. When she sees the explosion of flames on one of the windows.
They both gasp and run inside. Getting to the floor of the flames, which happens to also be Sam’s apartment. Dean kicks the front door open.
“Sam!” Dean yells entering the apartment. They follow the flames and find Sam on the bed with one arm shielding his face.
“Jess!” He says looking at the ceiling, where the girl is on flames.
“Sam! Sam!” They both scream at him, grabbing him by the arm.
“No! No!” Sam keeps shouting as the two shove him out the door, he struggles all the way down. “Jess! Jess! No!” Flames engulf the apartment.
A fire truck is parked outside the building, firemen and police keeping back gawkers. Y/n looks on, then turns and walks back to Dean’s car. Sam is standing behind the open trunk, by Dean’s side loading a shotgun. Dean looks at the trunk, then at Sam, whose face pure rage. Sam looks up, then sighs, nods, and tosses the shotgun into the trunk.
“We got work to do.” He shuts the trunk and heads to the shotgun, leaving the other two staring at each other, not knowing how to comfort the youngest.

You blinked your eyes open as a beam of sunlight fell over your face.
Apparently, you’d fallen asleep in the living room. You didn’t remember putting a pillow next to Jisung and curling up with your head against it, nor did you remember Jisung going to get another blanket, but he must have at some point. You were still under the fluffy throw he’d brought out when you’d first started The Immortal and the Restless, and you could see a blue quilt out of the corner of your eye.
You carefully sat up, trying not to disturb Jisung. He was in the same fetal position you’d woken up in, with his head on top of the pillow instead of against it. His quilt was draped over him, and you could see the corner of the fabric scrunched in one of his hands. The morning light made his hair seem to glitter as the air from the ceiling vent gently played with it, and his face was serene and unguarded.
He rubbed one of his eyes as you stood up from the couch. You held your breath as he stretched. The blanket slid off his side as he unfolded his legs, and your eyes widened as his back arched.
He opened his eyes with a sleepy smile, and you made your expression as normal as possible.
He scrunched up his nose. “What’s wrong? You’re making a weird face.”
“Nothing’s wrong, I’m making a normal face.”
“Mhm.” He smiled again, closing his eyes and letting his head fall sideways onto the pillow. “Normal face.” He ran one of his hands through his hair.
You fought the urge to also run a hand through his hair. “How many episodes in did we get last night?”
He shrugged, eyes still shut. “Dunno. I think I turned it off after three, but they’re each an hour long and I was mostly asleep by the third one.”
“Yeah.” You yawned. “I only really remember the first half of the second one.”
“It’s okay. We can rewatch. No rush.”
“I liked what I remember.”
His smile grew a little bigger. “Good, glad to hear that. It’s one of my favorites.”
You looked at him for a moment longer. His eyes were still closed, and he looked so relaxed, more relaxed than you’d ever seen him.
He opened his eyes and raised his eyebrows, and your cheeks reddened.
“Staring? I know, I know, I’m gorgeous, you just can’t take your eyes off me.”
“That’s not it, I… you’re… ugh.”
He laughed softly. “Just kidding.” He stretched again and sat up. “I am gonna take a shower, though. Maybe we could do something after, if you don’t have calculus to do?”
You did your best not to imagine Jisung in the shower and waved a hand, dismissing both your thoughts and Jisung’s concern. “Calculus isn’t due until Tuesday. It’s Sunday. Plenty of time.”
“Okay, well, I’ll meet you out here in a few minutes and we’ll figure out somewhere to go.”
You nodded. “Sounds good.”
You went back to your room and sat on your bed, staring forward.
Did that really just happen?
You got changed and did your morning hygiene, changing your outfit a couple of times before deeming it good enough. You went back out to the living room and sat down on the couch, scrolling on your phone for a minute.
A staticky noise stopped, and you realized Jisung was still in the bathroom. He must’ve just turned off the shower.
A minute later, the bathroom door opened.
Jisung’s hair was wet, wearing a towel draped around his remarkably hot waist and… nothing else.
You looked down, hoping he wouldn’t notice you.
“I’ll be ready in a minute.” Jisung smiled at you as you looked at him.
You focused on keeping your eyes on his face and not his body, smiling back. “Cool.”
As Jisung disappeared into his room, you took a deep breath.
His body is perfect, too. That’s really not fair.
He walked out a minute later in a jeans and a green hoodie layered under a leather jacket. “Anything you’d like to do?”
You shrugged. “Nothing’s coming to mind except shopping, but I’m kinda broke right now, so I dunno about that.”
“We can try stuff on, though!” Jisung tossed his car keys from one hand to the other. “Come on, I’ll drive us to the mall.”
“Okay, I can try stuff on.”
Jisung beamed. “Perfect.”
The mall wasn’t particularly close, but it was a pleasant drive. You chatted the whole way, and Jisung was a good driver, unlike many of your friends—your old friends, you reminded yourself. Strangely, thinking of them didn’t hurt when you were with Jisung.
You parked and got out of the car, Jisung running around the front and opening your door for you.
“Thank you.”
“Of course.” His smile was like sunshine as he shut the door behind you and locked the car.
You walked into the mall, and he took your hand, guiding you towards a store with a few cute tops in the window. “Ooh, these are cool!”
You walked in and found one of the tops in your size, a light green bustier with ruching across the front and cap sleeves. “Isn’t this one cute?”
“Very cute.” Jisung agreed. “You should try it on!” “I think I will.” You nodded and walked off in search of a dressing room.
You put on the top, struggling with it a bit before realizing there was a side zipper. It looked great on you, fitting like a glove.
You pulled back the curtain and walked out. “Jisung?”
“Here!”
You walked out to the sitting area outside the dressing rooms, doing a little twirl for him.
He smiled, watching you. “Beautiful, you look… amazing.”
“Aw, thank you.” You did a little curtsey, immediately realizing it made no sense since you weren’t wearing a skirt and the top wasn’t that fancy. “I don’t know why I did that.”
Jisung laughed. “It was cute. How much is the top?”
You tried not to think too hard about Jisung calling you cute and looked at the price tag, doing a double take. “Wow, 85 dollars.”
“Damn.” Jisung’s lips twisted. “It looks good, though. Do you want me to get it for you?”
“No, I couldn’t let you do that.” You waved off his offer. “I’d feel bad.”
“I want to, though!”
“I’d feel guilty, though!” You mirrored his language.
Jisung sighed. “Go change back, and we can keep looking, there was this sweater vest with an apple on the front that I really liked.”
“Why don’t you try it on? You’d probably eat it up.”
“I would.” Jisung preened. “Maybe I will.”
You walked back into the dressing room and put your T-shirt back on, carefully adjusting the top on its hanger and walking back out to Jisung. You hung it up on the return rack. “Where’s the sweater vest?”
“Over here.” He stood up, and you followed him to the sweater vests.
“It’s cropped! Cute.” You took it off the rack, feeling the material between your fingers. “Oh, it’s soft, too.”
“Perfect.” Jisung pulled out the vest in his size, and you went back to the dressing rooms. He pranced out a moment later with the sweater vest on.
The crop exposed the bottom part of his abs, and his arms were muscular. The combination of the light green of the trim, the red of the apple, and the cream background looked great on him.
You were reminded of earlier in the morning, when you’d seen him shirtless, and you could feel yourself go red.
“It looks great!”
“Everything okay? You look a little flushed.” Jisung looked concerned.
“Yeah.” You laughed. “All good, just a bit hot.”
“Yeah, it is warm in here.” Jisung nodded, and you exhaled, a little bit relieved. “But you like it?”
“I love it.” You said sincerely.
“Maybe I’ll get it.” He pulled at the hem. “It’s a little tight, but I want it a little tight. I like to wear either oversized stuff or tight stuff. No in between.”
“It’s a good style on you.” Both of those options are really hot.
“Okay, I’m gonna change out of this, if you want to look around a little more, I’ll find you.”
You stood up. “Okay, perfect.”
You walked over to one of the racks, looking at a pink satin top with a large bow across the front. It was cute, not quite your style, but very cute. You walked through the store, but nothing else caught your eye the way the green top had.
Someone tapped you on the shoulder, and you whirled you around, startled.
“Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.” Jisung smiled, holding out a bag.
“Hm?”
“Look inside.”
You did so. Inside was your green top, a receipt stuffed on top of it.
You looked back up at him. “You did not.”
He gave you a mischievous smile. “I did.”
“Jisung! I told you it’d make me feel guilty!”
“Don’t feel guilty! I did it because I wanted to! It looks like it was made for you.”
You couldn’t stop yourself from smiling, taking the bag. “Thank you. I’ll wear it, I promise.”
“You definitely need to. I also got that sweater vest, which has green trim, so we can kinda match!”
“Perfect!”
“Perfect.” Jisung beamed.

So a while back, @little-red-irish-jaguar reblogged one of my posts with this devastating theory. The theory was that Leland sent Finn the transmission from Tony Trihull instead of the oil rigs. My first thought was to reject this theory because it went against my preconceptions that were so firmly rooted that my brain immediately sought to preserve them. However after rewatching the movie and studying the evidence, I can safely say that I was wrong. This theory tracks. And I will now write another essay to assess the evidence.
Firstly, the transmission itself: now it’s EXTREMELY hard to see shit in this video. The quality is god-awful and Leland never won any awards for videography. However this glorious angel on deviantart cleaned up some frames. (I’m not going to repost their art though since they don’t seem to be active in the fandom anymore and I don’t want to repost without permission. :/ ) but definitely go check it out!
So I’ll post the same shitty screenshots from the movie. Shoutout to veggieboy ultimate for uploading the opening scene on YouTube.
Tumblr media
So there’s crates and metal reinforcements on the walls behind him. It does look like it could be on the oil rig.
Tumblr media
Then he angles the camera to show this (port window?) like babygirl we can’t tell what that is… anyway it looks like a window of some sort and there fire. Now. That looks an awful lot like a round ship’s window.
Tumblr media
Finally we get this weirdass shot of the ceiling? Again it’s very hard to tell what this is but it’s some sort of mechanical bay door that is closing.
Tumblr media
Like it could be that? Tony does have cargo bay doors and that could be what we’re seeing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now the icing on top are these pieces of concept art from the Pixar website. That window porthole is drawn without all the overexposure and it looks just like the flair stacks from the oil rigs. And that’s why Leland is trying to get it in frame to show Finn. He’s seen the oil rigs from the ship. But that’s the last we see of him.
Next, we see Finn hightailing it out there to the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Here’s the kicker, the coordinates Leland gives Finn do not take him to the oil rigs.
Tumblr media
(And for my even shittier stills) Crabby takes him to the coordinates and is like lol okay here we are! There’s lot of water!!
Now this always confused me as a kid. Was Crabby off with the coordinates? Did he stop too soon? But then if Leland sent the coordinates from Tony Trihull, it makes sense why those coordinates would lead to open water and not the oil rigs. The oil rigs may not be at those coordinates…
Tumblr media
but he sure is: the ship Leland sent the coordinates from.
Tumblr media
Next we see Finn by the loading dock and he comms Leland to let him know he’s there. Now this threw me off. Finn tells him he’s at the rally point but he’s not at the coordinates Leland sent him. I guess he figured this is where Leland ended up? (I mean he wasn’t wrong, unfortunately.)
Tumblr media
Then we see the professor. He’s there because of the camera which they’re loading onto the ship because they’re about to sail to Japan because of the race. But they’re also unloading crates from the ship and it’s one of those crates that Leland’s body is in. He’s being unloaded from the ship which is where he was likely murdered.
.
As for my finishing thoughts. There’s a lot to unpack here. Leland never made it to the oil rigs alive which is a tragedy of its own that he died before he got to see what he’d discovered up close.
He had a lot of faith in Finn to be able to find him from coordinates he sent from a boat. And that faith was well founded. Finn did in fact find him albeit too late.
Since he wasn’t on the ship at the time, Professor Z was not the one who killed Leland (though he may have ordered him killed) it was likely Acer and Grem who killed him—which makes sense since they seem to be the more sadistic of the lemons in later scenes—but I still hate Zundapp just because he was involved in it!
And Finn did in fact get his revenge at the end of the movie in London when he blew Tony Trihull to smithereens. (I’d add the screenshot but I’m at my 10 image limit already XD)

“It’s totally vampires, Az. Remember that nest we took out in Idaho? They did the same thing with their victims.” Azriel bites his lip recalling that hunt, it was in the top ten worst moments of his life. “I know you’re right but those things give me the creeps. The way their fangs just-” he gags thinking about the extra set of teeth.
“You big baby, it's just teeth. What gets me is the decapitation. Ghosts are easy. Salt. Fire. But these suckers are a nasty job.” You look over your notes before asking “do you think Cass and Rhys could give us a hand? I think we’ll be outnumbered.”
He shakes his head “we could call but last time we talked they were up to their necks on a vengeful spirit case. Get this, the bones are scattered in different places because the deceased couldn’t decide where to be buried.” You chuckle. “Those two always get caught up in something like that. What about Mor? Or Amren? I’ll call them just in case.”
Two phone calls later and no back up to show for it. “That was a bust.” Azriel nudges your arm. “Hey, we can do this. We can figure out a way to take them out one at a time.” You sigh and lean your head against the window. Watching as endless fields blur into one another. “You’re right, wake me up when we get there will you?” Before he can say yes you’ve dozed off.
The road to Texas was long and lonely for Azriel. You slept the whole way and he was forced to keep himself company with mindless humming and singing lyrics from songs he probably misremembers. You’re usually the dj, but he knows if he messes with your tapes he’s in deep shit. You arrive at the usual dingy motel at around midnight.
“Hey, sleepy head, we’re here.” Az is careful not to startle you, slightly shaking your arm with a scarred hand to rouse you from sleep without setting off your hunter instincts. “I’m awake.” You mumble but don’t move to get out of the truck. “I’ll go get us a room, while you wake up.” A hum is the only response he gets.
When he returns he sees you unloading the truck with a pep in your step. “We’re in 9.” Once you’ve settled in, it dawns on you that you took a six hour nap on the ride here. There’s no way you’ll be able to fall asleep now. “Az, you want something to eat?” He yawns “no thanks, I’m going to turn in for the night.”
“Well I’m not tired. I’ll grab a bite at that bar across the street and come back.” You put on your jacket and make the short walk to the hole in the wall establishment that always seems to accompany the motels you frequent. “One beer and a burger, please.” It 's quiet. You assume that it’s because it’s Tuesday. Until you overhear the conversation from two guys at the bar. “Six people went missing and all of them were last seen here, Sammy, something’s up.”
“I know, Dean, but we’ve been here a week and no one can point us in the right direction. Maybe they left.” Hunters, and by the sounds of it, they are on the same case.  The bartender sets a pint in front of you, when it’s in your hand you walk over. “Are you two looking for a vampire nest?” They seem to have a language of their own, exchanging a few glances before the one with blondish hair says “depends, who’s asking?”
“Y/n, my partner and I just got into town after hearing about six disappearances. Looks like you two got a head start.” You sit with them in a shadowy corner of the bar as they tell you about the roadblocks they’ve encountered. “Most of them came here without telling anybody they knew, they weren’t regulars.” The taller one with brown hair finishes.
“So they were lured.” They nod. “It’s been quiet since we got here.” You finish the burger and wipe your fingers with the thinnest napkin you’ve ever seen. “They got six people in two weeks, that’s enough blood to keep a nest alive for a month.” But something’s off and you can tell they feel it too. “What were your names again?”
“I’m Sam.” “I’m Dean.” No way.
 “Winchester?” They nod.
“That’s crazy! I knew your father! It’s sort of how I got started in all of this actually-” you stop yourself, John is dead now and these were his sons “I’m sorry for your loss, he helped a lot of people.” Az is going to freak when you tell him. Dean swigs his beer and says “yeah well, that’s what happens when you make deals with devils.”
It’s tense for a bit while you finish your beer “well, if you don’t mind it, my partner and I could help on the case. Four machetes are better than two. We’re staying right across the street. Room 9. See ya, boys.”
The next morning you tell Azriel about your encounter. “I’m telling you Az, they seem nice enough. If we team up it will be safer.” He’s unsure, always wary of strangers. “I don’t know, y/n-” just then, a knock at the door. You check the peephole before opening it. “Hi guys, this is my partner Azriel. Az, this is Sam and that's Dean.” The brothers brought coffee, by the looks of it it’s from the prehistoric machine in the lobby. “We talked about it and we agreed, working together will speed things along.”
“Az?” He sighs. “Fine.”
“He’s chipper,” Dean quips. “He’s not a morning person,” you quickly defend. You were the only one allowed to comment on his crankiness.
After a day of following dead ends, you sit with Dean at the same bar. Sam and Az are still trying to find something in the archives. “So what’s the deal with you and your partner?”
“Why? Are you interested?” He chuckles. “Just curious, your room had two beds. Are you two not involved?” Maybe it was the whisky, but you said “not romantically.”
“So he won’t be upset if I buy you another drink with the intention of getting in your pants?” You roll your eyes. “Your reputation precedes you, Winchester.”
“My reputation as a hunter or a ladies’ man?”
“Your reputation as a shameless flirt.” He leans closer to you “is it working?” You laugh and push him off. “No.”
“So there is something between you and Azriel. I bet he’s clueless. I’ve seen it time and again.” You keep nursing your glass. “I wouldn’t say he’s clueless. But you know how this job is. One second you’re here and the next… I think we both agree that it’s better if we don’t cross that line with each other.”
“But you could cross that line with me.” He winks. “No, Dean. I don’t think I could.”
He straightens away from you and sips his beer. “You said you met my dad?”
“Oh, yes. It was years ago, I was a freshman in college and a vengeful spirit was wreaking havoc on the campus. John showed up right before the son of a bitch gutted me. After that it was hard to go back to classes, you know?”
“And how did you meet Azriel?”
“Az and I met in a bar like this one, he had been hunting with his friends for a while and I hustled them for gas money.”
“You play pool?” You shake your head and try to keep a straight face as you say “I play fools, Dean.”
When Azriel and Sam returned, he did not like what he saw. In truth, he was glad to see you were having fun but he hated seeing you having fun with someone else. It's not like he could complain. You both refused to cross that line. Sleeping next to each other every night, on different beds was not the whirlwind romance he wanted to give you. It wasn’t the life you deserved. But he stuck by your side because everytime he wanted to slow down, to stop, maybe go back to school, you refused. “There are monsters, Az and we save people. I can’t go back to sitting in a classroom only to end up working in an office.” He wanted domesticity. He wanted a routine. He wanted a lawn to mow and to barbecue on weekends. But more than that he wanted you.
“She’s a keeper, Az.” Dean joked as you sunk the last ball in the socket. Azriel clenched his jaw, not liking the familiarity with which Dean nudged your shoulder. It had only been a day since you met and you were acting like you’d known each other for years.
“You don’t have to sleep here if you don’t want to.” Your face scrunches in confusion at his tone. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I’m sure you'd rather be with Dean right now.”
“Azriel, don't be like that.” He shrugs “just saying, you two were making eyes at each other all day.”
“We were not.” He doesn’t say anything else but there’s a tension that lingers. “I hate when you do this.”
“I’m not doing anything.”
“You’re picking a fight. You know I would never be with anyone else.”
“You could.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Y/n-”
“I know Az, “the life’s too dangerous,” “we’d be more vulnerable,” “it just gives the bad guys ammunition.” I know the whole song and dance of why we can’t… I get it. But it makes me feel stupid when I could be out with someone who actually shows interest in me but I stay with you.”
“I’m not holding you hostage, you can go if you want.”
“You’re an idiot.” With a huff you storm out of the room. Not entirely sure where you’re going, you wander around the motel grounds for a while. Knocking on Dean’s door was an option, but you wanted to be alone. He was infuriating. Azriel knows which buttons to push and when. He does this every so often, picks a fight to create iciness between you. It makes temptation easier if you’re too mad at each other to give in, you suppose.
It's past midnight, and the lights in room 9 are off. In your haste you forgot a key. You go to the lobby and are surprised to see an attendant. “Hi, I locked myself out of my room and my partner is asleep. Do you have a spare key by any chance?”
“Of course, name and room number?”
A click sounds from behind and you turn to see a man, turning the Open sign to Closed.  His neck is covered in scruff and bite marks. You look back at the attendant. The ledger, that weighs at least ten pounds, slams across your face.
You wake up tied up and breathless in a windowless room. Six bloodied bodies surrounding you.

And how would Gabriel and Rowena's daughter react if she met Chuck in season 11? Would Chuck want to kill her for being Nephilim? Obviously a Nephilim would help a lot to defeat Amara. Would Crowley be a little worried about Chuck killing his half-sister?
In a case where Rowena and Gabriel's daughter is Charlie's age, she is already an adult
(Charlie meeting Chuck would be so much fun.)
I think during season 11 everyone would kind of be ok with Chuck meeting Row and Gabe’s kid (Crowley I think would be a little nervous though). Because in season 11 they at least kind of trust him.
Rowena probably tries to keep her distance, and obviously Gabe is still “dead” in this season, so Row’s daughter doesn’t spend too much time around Chuck until the very end.
She helps in trying to defeat Amara, but honestly I think that’s where the problem would start—she helps too much, shows too much power, and even though Amara still (somehow) wins for a bit, Chuck decides to kill Rowena’s daughter the minute she almost takes out Amara.
However, circumstances get in his way for a while—he makes up with Amara, and when they decide to leave he figures that maybe that nephilim won’t be a problem.
However when he comes back later on, I think he’d probably end up killing her just like he killed Jack. He’s too scared of anyone with as much power as him.
However, when Jack comes back (I’m embarrassed to say that I literally forgot how, thankfully I’m on a rewatch so maybe I’ll start to remember these late season plot points), Rowena and Gabe’s daughter comes back with him, and they become the new Light (Jack, duh) and Darkness.
I think it’s kind of ironic that the son of Lucifer becomes the Light, and the daughter of Gabriel becomes the Darkness. It’s almost poetic.

***This is by no means a critical review but merely a fangirl’s ramblings, and I often drew comparisons to the original stage play Kuroshitsuji Musical: Secrets of the Boarding School (2021). For reference, I suggest you watch it first! I intentionally avoided rewatching the 2021 version close to the airing date though, so my memories may not be accurate. Also my Japanese is mediocre so I apologize if there were important dialogues I didn’t catch.
Introduction
I know, sorry for the dilly-dally intro. But I’d like to first stress that ever since I started following Kuroshitsuji in my first year of university (like 9 years ago now lmao), I’ve ALWAYS dreamed to watch the stage musical live in person. When 2024’s performance was announced immediately after the last episode of the anime, I was overjoyed to see that our old cast was coming back.
And it was fate that gave me the opportunity - my scheduled work program this year was set to be in Kyoto AND during September! Needless to say, I had the Kuromyu ticket bought and reserved first, before my confirmation with the Kyoto office or my visa and plane ticket. Priorities, right?
Quick remark on the ticket process: I hit a snag right in the beginning because the ticket reservation website Eplus required a Japanese phone number to sign up. I contacted multiple people (middle school friend whose brother used to work in Japan, another who was quarter-Japanese, several dealer websites with high rate exchanges), until I settled on my roommate’s friend from high school who was currently working there. Many thanks to her and my roommate for the help!
She took care of registration for me - even so the advance sales was a LOTTERY ticket! We fortunately got the lucky draw - I saw many Japanese fans on X who were not so lucky, while others bought in bulk to sell later. Then, I used the online barcode to exchange for a paper ticket when I arrived in Japan on September 1st. That’s when I get to know my seat number - 3rd floor, 2nd row B. A very far position from the stage, but it’s alright because we’re here for the atmosphere anyway!
Tumblr media
The performances for the first 2 days were set in Hyogo Performing Arts Center, KOBELCO grand hall. I’ve honestly never been to any kind of music performance (or even concerts) in my life, so I was blown away by the sheer size of the venue.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By 10 AM, the audience was trickling in. I was in awe of the fact that you can tell who was coming in to watch kuromyu - beautiful women dressed in black-and-white tones, many even sporting gothic lolita bows and dresses to keep up with the Victorian England theme. In fact, it felt like the whole of Ikebukuro were gathered here in this very building!
We were ushered into the hall entrance at 11 AM and let me tell you, the crowd was suffocating! In front of the theater, there was a goods section for Kuromyu merch. I’m so glad I took the time to queue up because it seems some of the merch were starting to sell out by the second day. The booth clerk looked perplex to see a non-Japanese customer here though. Here’s how the line looked like, and this was still early before most of the audiences got in:
Tumblr media
(We’re not supposed to take any photos but I saw the warning signs too late…Here’s a view from where I was sitting on the third floor.)
Tumblr media
I realized then as we were settling in that some ladies around me had binoculars!! Well how was I supposed to know you could bring those here, instead of trying to find those fancy opera glasses!?! Ah well, I was lucky that I’d recently had my prescription glasses updated and the seat to my left was vacant, so I could lean in to see the center better.
The Performance
While it is true that you can barely see the actors’ faces from the balcony seats, it was the grandness of the performance itself that blew me away. For the first time I could see the stage in all its entirety, all the actors dancing in synchronization, and the special effects…oh it had improved A LOT from 3 years prior!
The stage sets for Weston may look a tad “crowded” in the still photo, as compared to the original where they used white backgrounds but in reality, it blended in so prettily with the flashing stage lights. The middle section was a rotating floor and one of my memorable scenes was where Ciel and Sebastian were discussing their plans while crossing the rotating stage, to give the illusion of “strolling across the school grounds.” Sounds like a simple trick but if looked amazing from above.
Tumblr media
On to the story itself - the execution actually barely changed from the 2021 rendition, which for me, was a relief! Now I know, some would argue a rerun should add in different elements, because who would want to see the same thing twice right? From past experiences with Kuromyu, the reruns tend to be hit or miss - different actors, different song remixes, voice changes, and so on. For this performance, I could barely tell that the cast (apart from Ciel, Sebastian and Undertaker) were all new members. Everyone got into character flawlessly!
The story of course followed the entirety of the Public School Arc. The script and choreography was almost identical to the 2021 stage musical version. If you would remember, this Kuroshitsuji arc was the first to be portrayed on stage before the anime adaptation - same as previously, they seemed to take inspiration from the manga only rather than the anime.
Some key moments from the play:
The opening sequence was again a recap of the previous arcs - Jack the Ripper (Lycoris that Blazed the Earth), Book of Circus (Noah’s Ark Circus), Book of the Atlantic (Tango on the Campania). I’ve always loved this part because you could tell they slipped in iconic themes from the past musicals.
Perfect Black: the main theme, and my favorite from this stage! I’m so happy to have heard it live! *swoons* Thank god they didn’t do anything weird to remix it. The whole cast dancing together was beautiful! However I thought 2021 did it better with the dramatic light focus on Sebastian during the chorus drop.
Ciel’s Earl of Phantomhive outfit was changed from the glittery blue suit to a blue-green checkered coat this year. (I’d have bought his Earl photoshoot set if I knew it beforehand) Yana-sensei later tweeted that she was the one to re-design it, to better match Eito. Then Eito Konishi himself replied, saying he was honored to play as Ciel Phantomhive, to which Yana-sensei praised his singing and called him “Eito-bocchan” …boy was he fanboying hard over that. He’s one of us!!
Arrival at Weston: I don’t have a comment on the P4 in particular, they were all straightforward from the manga. I think I like Redmond’s character the most here, he looked very pretty with the side-ponytail and while he was a show-off still, he wasn’t as annoying or arrogant as I somehow expected.
A notable interaction: Violet forcing Greenhill to pose for him at the swan gazebo. Greenhill’s actor really looked strained trying to keep an upside down bridge pose (Edward was supporting his back, but kept getting distracted). When he broke the pose and got up, Violet hit him over the head with his sketchbook so hard that the thump echoed through the hall.
As for the Prefect’s Fags: Edward and Cheslock were giving off some suspiciously gay rivals-to-lovers vibes over here. Which I kinda vibed with, I hope they kept the energy into the Blue Cult Arc!
One important thing: they kept the ALL the Fag lines! Which in Japanese accent also kinda sounded like them repeatedly calling each other “Fućk”. Oh how I wish the anime had kept those!
Soma Asman Kadar: now this guy deserves an ovation just for himself. Not only did he kill the role, he was also the funniest! Soma’s song was greatly improved and lengthened with catchier music and dancing - when his troupe “arrived” at Weston, he even dragged Ciel and Clayton to join in. I can’t do it justice, you have GOT to see those two English gentlemen crack the Indian dance moves! His pestering of Maurice Cole was hilarious and he kept exasperating Ciel out of his character, their chemistry was wonderful. I really didn’t expect to get hooked by Soma in this arc out of all people! Too bad Agni wasn’t here.
Maurice Cole’s miniarc - Flawless. Sometimes I wonder if he was an easy character to play just because his character trait is so extremely over-the-top lol.
The library kabedon scene and sebaciel burning Purple House scene didn’t exist. Another scene cut off from the last musical was where Clayton and the Blue House kids were congratulating Ciel on his fag duties and Sebastian took the chance to blend in with them. Sadly that was one of my favorite adlibs.
Ciel’s dream sequence: this was originally in the 2021 musical. After a talk with Macmillain made him revisit his past trauma, Ciel “dreamed” of the cultists, and Sebastian’s close call with Undertaker in BotA. I actually forgot about this part when I watched it in theater - the highlight was sebaciel reenacting the scene in BotA where they reached for each other, the enactment surprisingly gave me the impression of Ciel’s “worry” over Sebastian’s “vulnerability” here. Unlike the 2021 version though, Undertaker didn’t pull Ciel into a bridal carry or referenced the R!Ciel wake-up scene as clearly.
Tumblr media
The second half after the break was the long-awaited Cricket Match. Like the previous version, there was no scene of Ciel jumping into Master Michaelis’ arms, but I think they just couldn’t fit that one into the sequence. The cricket songs were mostly the same as the original - with an improvement being them cutting out Red House’s random beauty pageant contest. It actually felt like the cricket match went by faster this time, which was a win in my book. I’ve heard people complain of Kuromyu 2021 being a “Prince of Cricket” musical, hence the bad reviews back then.
The laxative meat pie scene was hilarious. From Sebastian faking it as a student complete with Red House’s uniform, to the team’s diarrhea horrors. Redmond stole the show again, as he was going to help Harcourt in the middle of the field, but tragedy struck which made him deadpan: “Oh. Someone get Harcourt.” Then immediately left the stage lol. The Blue House kids lifted Harcourt out.
The Green vs Purple house battle was the same as last time. I always felt bad to see Cheslock being the only Purple kid doing his best because without any support member cast while Violet was sitting in the grass. But this time, he gave Cheslock a tree sculpture of his bust as a good-job reward! Good for them.
Lastly Green vs Blue. They incorporated the rotating stage again in the last batting when Greenhill accidentally hit Ciel. The end of the match cut straight to the Thames Boat Ride, then they did the Blue House cheering scene after. Sebastian finally got to do his signature bridal carry, awww.
Midnight tea party: the setting was even more beautiful than last time. Undertaker letting his hair fall from his hat was iconic as usual. I was impressed with Master Agares’ fight scenes because his actor looked quite older than his 2021 predecessor. I always liked how they did Derrick Arden’s death in the musical, it felt more anguished from the P4 POV while in the anime, it just felt like a gruesome horror scene.
Final musical number was Ciel-Sebastian-Undertaker chorus during their fight in the garden. Music and choreography seemed to be similar, EXCEPT they somehow changed the iconic “Your life is my priority” scene!!! 2021’s version had me hold my breath as Sebastian had his arm possessively hooked around Ciel and took off his glove with his teeth (seriously, you have to see it yourself). This time they had Sebastian and Ciel reenact the scene on the highest stage instead of front and center, and I didn’t feel as much suspense nor was there any glove-removal from what I could see. It was also a weird placement because they were so far away, and Undertaker should’ve been the one on the top as he did his goodbye pose holding the moon.
We end the story with Sebastian recapping the aftermath with Weston’s students, and finally sebaciel’s conversation back at the manor. Again, Ciel reiterates that Sebastian is the only one who could never lie nor betray his trust. Perfect Black came on as an outro, and I got chills when Sebastian ended the last verse on a raised note!
The curtain call was the experience I’d waited for. Somehow I only realized just then that the actors would do the full call during their finale performance, which was what we got to see in the recordings! That day, after the cast bowed twice, the exit announcement immediately came on but guess what? The audience, including myself, kept clapping all the way through the announcement, it went for so long that the cast actually came out to take another bow! As they returned on stage, most of us also stood up for a standing ovation - according to twitter this doesn’t seem to be a regular occurrence outside of the finale. It felt like a truly wholesome “welcome back” for the troupe and for Kuromyu, especially after the rather harsh criticisms from the previous stage (due to major cast and style changes, even I took a while to bring myself to watch it) and the long break due to the COVID years.
Overall summary
Kuroshitsuji Musical 2024 was a faithful rerun of its predecessor. They succeeded with the musical numbers, new cast, overall adaptation of the story. The settings, props and special effects were wonderfully upgraded. The original cast carried the show: Eito Konishi’s singing felt greatly improved and I thought he carried himself as more mature than his last performance as Ciel. Sebastian’s Toshiki Tateishi had a mesmerizing voice the more I listened to him, he never went out of breath even while dancing or fighting - truly vocals fit for the troupe leader. Kandai Ueda did well as his own Undertaker too, even with Undertaker’s peculiar accent.
My few complaints: I felt like the P4 cast (bar Redmond) could do to have more distinction in their tones and movements. It felt hard to distinguish who was talking at times. The performance seemed to have a faster pacing this time around, and you get less absorbed in certain conversations between the characters, so I wished they’d added in slow scenes here and there. And of course I miss the signature sebaciel moments that I’ve mentioned - granted, this manga arc had always been my least favored because of the lack of sebaciel interactions anyway! So I’d say they did the best with the source material.
While I enjoyed seeing my favorite production performed live with the music blasting through my eardrums, it was the atmosphere that truly made the experience for me. Sitting in the 4-storeys grand hall full of some 2000 Kuroshitsuji fans really pulled me back in time, especially during the standing ovation. I’m so happy to see my favorite series so loved after all these years. I’m sure Yana-sensei could feel it too.
I wish a successful performance for the cast going forward to Tokyo, and hopeful for many more musicals to come!

For Anyone Who Wants To Watch 90s Sailor Moon But Doesn’t Want To Watch Several Episodes Of Filler, Here’s A Guide (Dark Kingdom Arc)
Tumblr media
Hello, as someone who just rewatched season 1 of the 90s Sailor Moon, I wanted to give newcomers a bit of help.
I watched this version way back as a kid, I will say it didn’t click with me until years later after two or three rewatches. But my opinion isn’t too important for this post, I ran down all 46 Episodes of the first season, and made a list tracking down the filler contained.
Cause yeah… 46 episodes for a 14 Chapter story in manga text… yeah there’s gonna be a lot of filler. And people, myself included, want to enjoy the shows story without getting interrupted.
I will NOT be condoning ALL filler. In some episodes, there is SOMETHING plot relevant that happens, whether it’s based off the manga or based off 90s show lore that they changed.
Basically, I’m going to list off EVERY Episode of the Dark Kingdom Arc, 90s version. If literally ANYTHING tied to the seasons main story is in the episode, I’ll list it as a watch. And if there’s nothing, I’ll list as a skip. Or I could add better context, skip some episodes because they’re pointless, skip because they’re bad episodes, or cause they’re pointless AND bad episodes, my favorite /s.
So, for anyone who wants to get into 90s Sailor Moon, here’s a guide on what episodes are a must watch, and which ones you can skip and lose nothing.
‘The CryBaby Usagi’s Beautiful Transformation’
Quite obviously the first episode is VERY VITAL TO WATCH.
It’s the first chapter of the manga. It introduces our main character Usagi and her powers. It introduces Luna. It’s when our two lovebirds first meet. It’s the introduction of the Dark Kingdom, Beryl, & Jadeite. It’s the introduction of Tuxedo Mask as a mysterious figure. You get it.
It’s one of the few episodes that’s pretty close to the manga version, with the exception of a few not very harmful changes here and there.
Also her mom kicking her out of the house is funnier in the anime.
Manga: “If you’re gonna come home with grades like this, don’t even bother coming home!”
Anime: “YOU DON’T DESERVE TO BE LET INTO THIS HOUSE”
(I watched this subbed)
‘Punishment Awaits: The House Of Fortune Is The Monster Mansion’
Literally the only plot relevant thing in this episode is the introduction of Motoki.
In both versions, he’s a red herring for Tuxedo Mask. In both versions he’s also a very nothing side character, only serving in the manga as a love interest for Makoto, AKA Sailor Jupiter in the first two arcs. But it goes nowhere.
So… if you care about this character, watch the episode just for his introduction. But if you don’t, (I don’t blame you,) there is nothing in this episode for you.
Unless you have a kink for sexual harassment. Umino’s got you covered there.
‘The Mysterious Sleeping Sickness: Protect The Girls In Love’
This one is NECESSARY.
The episode introduces the Moon Power disguise mechanic, which unlike the manga, is used a lot in the anime.
It also has Sailor Moon and Jadeite actually meeting each other… which, yeah, is also important.
I also just like the episode. It’s one of the episodes of the anime where Usagi actually shows some growth as a guardian. The action in this one is really fun. And they use the stock Tiara Attack creatively here. That’s appreciated.
‘Learn How To Be Skinny From Usagi’
SKIP THIS EPISODE
Especially for anorexia and body shaming trigger warnings.
It’s very fatphobic. It’s very offensive to people without mainstream body types. AND there is NOTHING plot relevant that happens in it.
‘Scent Of A Monster: Chanela Will Steal Your Love’
I’m very torn on this one.
On the one hand, this is an episode where Usagi actually uses her brain, (though she kinda drops the ball at one point) and we get to learn more about Usagi’s family. Which is an appreciated form of filler. And we also get Moon Tiara Stardust and Luna living with the family.
ON THE OTHER HAND, there’s NOTHING plot relevant that happens in this episode. The Stardust function NEVER gets used again. It’s not in the manga. And in terms of Luna, I would agree with the plot of her living with their parents if it weren’t for a simple fact: SHE WAS ALREADY LIVING WITH THEM AND NO ONE BAT AN EYE
So, no, you’re not gonna get anything plot related in this episode. But if you want to learn more about Usagi’s brother and you are anti-animal cruelty, maybe you should watch it idk. You decide that one.
‘Protect The Melody Of Love: Usagi Plays Cupid’
Okay, there’s nothing plot relevant in this episode. Absolutely nothing. The characters in this episode besides Usagi and Luna never show up again and have absolutely no purpose. Nothing progresses.
It’s also one of the few episodes where Mamoru doesn’t show up once… though that’s a win in my book.
So no. You do not have to watch this episode.
But… darn it! I can’t write it off! It’s SO SWEET
It has such a different atmosphere than the ones before. It’s so pretty to look at. Usagi is actually extremely competent at her job in this one. And I cared about the stakes in this one. I cared about this piano guy wanting to get his music to his girl. I actually felt like Sailor Moon was a guardian of LOVE and JUSTICE in this one.
Seriously if all the filler episodes were like this, I would not be making this post. It’s that good and sweet.
But it is filler. So it’s your choice. But I think it’s a filler any Sailor Moon watcher can love.
‘Usagi Learns Her Lesson: Becoming A Star Is Hard Work’
SKIP THIS EPISODE
There is NOTHING IMPORTANT or of value in this episode.
At least the rose did something useful in this one I guess.
‘The Girl Genius Is A Monster: The Brainwashing Cram School Of Horror’
Obviously VERY IMPORTANT.
This is the episode that introduces Ami Mizuno AKA Sailor Mercury. She’s an important character.
It’s also Chapter 2 in the manga. So… yeah. Must watch.
Also, I actually like Ami as a character best in this version. Believe it or not. This episode, of every version, did the BEST at grasping who Ami is.
In the manga, she gets brainwashed along with everyone else.
In the anime, she doesn’t fall for it, not because she knows it’s a trap, but because she’s the kind of person that studies on her own terms and her own interest. Shy or not, introverted or not, she has that moral code in her that she stands for. Studying is all she sees value in herself with.
It’s a small change, but I LOVE this change because it gives Ami more characterization to stand behind. And sets up her own story throughout the show.
Her attack sucks though.
‘Usagi’s Disaster: Beware The Clock Of Confusion’
Surprisingly necessary.
The episode itself is meh. It’s confirmed in this one that Tuxedo Mask is indeed a stalker. The animation is quite rough in this one for some reason. And Elder Sailor Moon is cursed.
But I mostly say you have to watch it because Mercury gets a power up in this one. That being her calculus.
This thing is used quite a bit in the anime. And it is also used for an emotional punchline at the season finale.
(Again, I’m going off the anime’s story logic here. This calculus was an addition just for the anime. This was never a thing in the manga. Maybe they realized they did Mercury dirty and tried to course correct)
‘The Cursed Bus: Enter Mars, The Guardian Of Fire’
Obviously this one is also VERY IMPORTANT.
It introduces another Sailor Guardian, that being Rei Hino AKA Sailor Mars. It’s Chapter 3 in the Manga. Rei is an important character. Obviously.
I will say I prefer the Crystal version of the episode over this version, but this version is not bad at delivering THIS version of Mars… a rival character for Usagi, basically. And a rose thorn. Not sorry.
I think that just has to do with me not being given a good reason to like her in this episode. The episode is more focused on the bus mystery and the shrine location than Rei herself. Whereas with Crystal it’s the opposite.
We saw there her insecurities about her abilities and how people unfairly treated her and assumed she was monstrous. So we could sympathize with her when she snaps back.
Here? She just snaps back. At everyone. Even her own family. And that’s our intro of her character. This is the first impression the writers want you to take away of her. Not exactly a positive light on someone who’s supposed to be a main character.
(In case you don’t know, this is NOT Rei’s character at all in the manga)
I find it funny that when Luna senses energy from Rei she wonders if she’s the princess, but when she senses energy from Ami she assumes she’s a monster.
Someone in the writers room hates Ami and that makes me sad.
Also, Tuxedo Mask does something other than throw a rose and peace out in this one. So that’s nice.
‘Usagi Vs Rei: Nightmare In Dream Land’
This is the first of many Usagi & Rei rival episodes. The titles are not subtle.
I know some people love their dynamic in the anime… I’m not one of those people. Like, there’s witty banter and teasing, and then there’s insulting, agreeing with the bullies, and being physical. I just think they take it way too far sometimes and it overstays it’s welcome in this season. They’re both pretty annoying this episode, for different reasons.
But ignoring my opinion on that matter, I do know people who love their dynamic, so this episode will deliver on that content.
And this is the episode where Rei meets Mamoru, which becomes a whole controversial subplot that didn’t exist in the manga. But it is a subplot that happens later and this is its intro so maybe you should watch it. Idk. It doesn’t really affect the main plot.
There’s also a little combo attack Moon and Mars do and it looks pretty neat.
‘I Want A Boyfriend: The Luxury Cruise Ship Is A Trap’
Oh look, an Usagi & Rei rivalry episode…
Wait, didn’t we do that last episode-?
This episode is about these three girls fighting for each others affection when Rei asks Ami out on a date. That’s it. That’s the plot.
Rei denies things. The cruise’s energy draining is homophobic. But I see right through her that she’s just a closeted gay 🏳️‍🌈
(That’s my headcanon anyway)
At least last episode was about solving a mystery related to the villains. Here it’s solely for these girls own dreams. Not that it’s a bad thing. I like it when protags are selfish sometimes.
But this episode is also important because it acts as significant build up to the next episode. That being Beryl getting very pissed at Jadeite for a scandal he pulls. Plus it’s the only time Jadeite gets any sort of character depth ever so enjoy it while you can.
‘Girls Unite: The End Of Jadeite’
I don’t think I need to tell you this one is VERY IMPORTANT.
The death/defeat of one of the major villains of the show is very important. I don’t need to tell you that.
It’s also just a really great intense episode. Usagi is excellent in showcasing her growth in this one. Like GOSH does she feel so REAL in this version of the story.
She also asks a really good question.
“What’s wrong with our government, hiring people like this?!”
I ask myself that a lot, Usagi. And I don’t know that answer.
Mamoru is insufferable as usual. And this might take the crown for his most pointless insults. What do you gain from being a dickhead to this girl, I seriously need to know!! (It’s also sad considering he’s only like this in the first chapter in the manga and then never again)
But at least Tuxedo Mask gets a one on one duel with a villain and that is epic. So I guess this balances it out. Especially since he’s fighting against another misogynist.
“Go on and cry! Do you need a man to do everything for you?! Women are such shallow, useless creatures!”
That’s how you know Jadeite deserved his fate.
‘A New Enemy Appears: Nephrite’s Evil Crest’
Important episode because it introduces the new villain character.
Actually, TWO of them, as Zoisite also shows up.
Yes Zoisite is a queer dude. DEAL WITH IT.
This is also the first time the introduction Usagi makes at the start of these episodes changes. I always like this, as it shows where we’re at in the story and her development.
And yet everyone roasts Usagi and treats her like an idiot, and to that I say “Where were you guys in this episodes battle?? That’s what I thought”
Mamoru doesn’t show up this episode, but Tuxedo Mask does and he actually fights and participates this time. Both of those are music to my ears.
‘Usagi’s Panic: Rei’s First Date’
The start of the episode is about the trio learning this guys beautiful park is being bulldozed and the creatures in it are in danger and he’s all sad about it.
AWWWWW, it’s a cute ‘save the environment’ episode and they’re gonna help this guy. That’s-
“I better find a boyfriend and have a date before it’s gone.”
Oh…
No it’s just an episode about Rei being a selfish prick. As usual.
I know I said I like it when these characters are selfish sometimes, but there’s going to have fun instead of working cause you’re a kid, and then there’s forcing a guy to date you in a park that you heard is being bulldozed as well as not taking no for an answer.
They just go way too far when it comes to Rei.
This episode is about her dating Mamoru. Which is a very pointless love triangle plotline if you ask me, and anyone with even the slightest knowledge of Sailor Moon lore KNOWS this ship is dead in the water upon concept alone.
BUT… as much as I don’t like this plotline, it IS a running plotline in the show, so if you care about it you have to watch it.
I don’t blame you for not bothering though.
Oh yeah this is also the episode where we learn that Mamoru is a college student.
I’m gonna do die in a corner now.
(In the manga, he’s in high school and only TWO years older than Usagi. There was literally NO reason to increase that age gap. What the f-)
At least Mamoru was tolerant in this one, AND Ami was great in this one. She really is precious.
‘A Girl’s Dream: Usagi Becomes A Bride’
This has a group transformation.
That’s it. That’s all the value there is in this nothing episode.
SKIP.
‘Usagi’s A Model: The Flash Of The Monster Camera’
THIS, of all episodes, is where Luna gives the girls communicators.
(For manga context, they don’t get communicators till the second arc)
AND this is our first mention of the Legendary Silver Crystal, which is very important.
So yeah, surprisingly, you have to watch the episode.
I completely forgot about this episode before I rewatched it. And I’m kinda embarrassed that I did. It’s better than I remember it being.
Even if it’s one of those ‘Usagi Bullying’ episodes where everyone makes fun of her and insults her, even though time and time again she’s proven to be much more competent than she seems. AND she saved everybody’s asses this episode. By herself.
And they STILL belittle her.
Really, your tolerance for it depends on who you are as a person. Or whether or not you hate Usagi. I can see why some people would, but I’m not one of those people. Usagi getting bullied just makes me sad :(
‘Shingo’s Love: The Grieving Doll’
This episode was nightmare fuel. Those dolls, just… UGH
There’s really nothing to say about this one other than it’s another episode about Usagi’s family, and this one shot of Mamoru and Nephrite walking by each other.
Yeah… nothing really noteworthy. Pass.
‘Usagi’s Joy: A Love Letter From Tuxedo Mask’
This is an important episode. Quite a bit happens here.
This is the episode where Sailor Moon and Nephrite properly meet. Which is important.
This is the reveal of Tuxedo Mask’s identity… albeit pretty underwhelming of how they revealed it. Still a reveal though.
(In the Manga, he has complete control over his two personas. In the anime, he’s not. That’s a detail change right there.)
This episode also has a bit of a conversation in the manga. Well, a part of it at least.
(In the manga, there’s a conversation Usagi & Mamoru have upon finding out Tuxedo Mask’s identity. It’s explained why Tuxedo Mask fights and always protects Sailor Moon. Another half of it is Mamoru explaining his past, but in the anime that part is split into a different conversation later. This half of it presented in the anime is much sooner than in the manga. In the manga, this takes place after Jupiter joined the team, and after Usagi got her moon wand. And instead of an elevator escape life or death situation, it took place in Mamoru’s apartment.)
This episode is also where Naru & Nephrite first meet, which is… a can of worms. But it’s important. So…
‘The Summer, The Beach, Youth And Ghosts’
Does nobody find it weird that it’s summer break but when they get back to school they’re not up a grade?
Idk how Japan schools work.
Anyway, unless you like haunted mansions, there is nothing in this episode for you. And even then it’s one of the weaker haunted mansion episode stories.
It’s also one of those ‘Forgive your abusers’ story and defiance of said abuser is the bad guy.
Thanks… I hate it.
‘Protect The Children’s Dreams: Friendship Through Anime’
I would say this episode was important for Sailor V lore… if this was actually Sailor V lore, and not about lesbian animators.
Yeah… there’s nothing in this episode for you.
Unless you like lesbian animators.
‘Romance Under The Moon: Usagi’s First Kiss’
Chapter 4 of the manga.
12 Episodes later… oh Serenity…
It introduces Kunzite, another main villain. It introduces Mamoru’s nightmares about Serenity (which near exact to the manga btw). There’s more of the Nephrite & Naru plotline. (Hell, if you skip the previous two episodes like I suggested, this is a near perfect transition.)
It’s also Sailor Moon & Tuxedo Mask’s first kiss.
Though whereas in the manga Usagi was unconscious because she was exhausted from the fight, the anime decided the reason she passed out was because she was intoxicated by wine… as a 14 year old… and Tuxedo Mask kissed her…
What the f-
‘Wish Upon A Star: Naru’s First Love’
“And you’re under arrest for romantic scam charges!”
Couldn’t have said it better myself Usagi.
You thought the 90s age gap between Usagi & Mamoru was bad? Try a 14 year old girl slobbering over a middle aged man who is also a terrorist.
But I like that the other characters call her out that it’s creepy and unhealthy and that their plan is to get her to stay away from him... even though they're the ones proven wrong because 'love'... UGH.
Legit, this episodes subject matter is very sensitive. So trigger warning for this one for abusive relationships & scammers.
But it is important. So… just be mindful of some uncomfortable stuff.
ALSO, this is Part 1 of 2 in a story. So it’s buildup to the next episode.
‘Naru’s Tears: Nephrite Dies For Love’
Part 2 of this two parter. It’s important. You know.
As problematic as the story they came up with is, it is still impressive how the 90s anime utilized Nephrite to flesh out the Dark Kingdom agency over the manga counterpart.
In the manga, Sailor Jupiter just kills him with lightning and we knew nothing about him.
So automatically the 90s anime is an upgrade for this character.
You will be missed, dude.
I didn’t spoil it, the episode title did.
‘Jupiter, The Powerful Girl In Love’
This episode is VITAL. Obviously.
It introduces a new guardian, who is one of the best characters of this show (not sorry).
Like, in manga context, Venus is my favorite, but in 90s anime I’m a Jupiter Stan. (She’s great in the manga too)
I think one of the most interesting changes to her character in manga/anime is Mako’s approach on violence.
In the manga, she saves Usagi from a car, and there was more emphasis on her being an outcast due to her height, where the stories of her being expelled for picking fights were fake.
In the anime however, she actually DOES pick fights with people to protect others, and that’s how she meets Usagi, AND she punches Zoisite in the face without powers… which is just badass. Ngl.
In both versions, her behavior is a trauma response to all her loved ones leaving her. Her parents died in a plane crash, leaving her to live alone, & her previous boyfriend dumped her in a very nasty way. So yeah, her response to crushing on every guy she meets in the anime actually has more depth to it than just a running gag. (I can’t speak since I didn’t watch the other seasons in full, but I heard they go more into this)
As a kid I wasn’t very fond of the anime’s change because the whole point of the manga version was that people misjudge her, whereas here, they really aren’t. BUT I’ve warmed up to it as just another version of the character and one that DOES work for what they are trying to set up about her. Mako’s still the tough girl into cute stuff and a hopeless romantic. She just goes at her treatment from others different ways depending on the version. So, yeah, I like it.
Off topic, but the live action movie based off the first season of the anime goes more into depth on this before Mako even becomes Jupiter. We see her get expelled, and we see her home life and how… depressing and lonely her life was before she met Usagi.
I loved it. I wish those scenes were in the 90s anime. Because we only meet Mako THIS episode, where she was NEVER mentioned before, and we’re supposed to just accept she’s a new main character.
I mean yeah the manga kinda had that issue too, but at least it was Chapter 5 of the manga and not episode TWENTY FIVE.
Whatever. I still love Mako here.
This is also the episode where we learn the existence of Metalia. In a scene from Chapter 7 of the manga. In the manga Metalia is the final boss. But in the anime, it’s just Beryl. So… honestly I kinda wish the 90s anime cut Metalia entirely because not only is Metalia a very boring generic evil entity in both versions, but she does absolutely nothing in the anime. And Beryl is just a way more interesting villain in comparison to Metalia. In both versions. Especially in the manga she’s way more interesting.
And this is also the start of the ‘Silver Crystal Fetch Quest’ arc. There’s these rainbow crystals all three sides are after because they need these things to form the Legendary Silver Crystal.
So, automatically, the Zoisite Arc has nearly all of its episodes important, unlike the last arc. (Sorry Nephrite)
These rainbow crystals were not in the manga. In the manga, the crystal was made from Usagi’s tears. (In the manga the crystal is teardrop shaped as a result. In the anime it’s a sphere.) BUT I don’t hate this choice. It gives us a good excuse to learn more about the world and these people living in it.
At least there’s a reason given for this many episodes now.
OH, and one more thing. This episode introduces the Moon Stick…
…I’m sorry, I prefer how the manga introduces it by MILES. And I’m legit disappointed about how the anime handled it. Luna just… makes it appear. I could buy her doing this with the pens, but this weapon wasn’t that.
It also completely takes away such a wholesome and heartwarming bonding chapter with Sailor Moon & Tuxedo Mask by doing it like this. The stick wasn’t just a weapon, it was a wand of healing magic generated by the couple’s love. It’s so important to the story.
‘Restore Naru’s Smile: Usagi’s Friendship’
Rainbow Crystal. Important episode.
You’re gonna hear me say that five more times.
As problematic as the plotline was, you gotta REALLY appreciate them using the screen time to showcase the grief of the loss of a character. It’s such a great episode to just breathe and process what happened.
This is also the episode where the Usagi introduction changes again. To highlight how amazing Mako is. Can’t argue.
Despite Umino Rei and Luna being especially insufferable this episode (like come on, it’s been how long and Usagi’s saved your asses how many times, how are you STILL so entitled and discrediting her?!), we all wanted Naru to fight Zoisite even if she’d lose. This poor girl needs some serious help. She’s a good kid! Leave her alone!
Also the monster is a boxer…
This is made from a Pastor…
And it made a boxer…
Okay.
At least Tuxedo Mask gets to fight this time. He doesn’t always throw a rose and leaves. Y’all over exaggerate. We also get the music watch this episode, which is used for an emotional punchline in the finale.
‘Crushing On Ami: The Boy Who Can See The Future’
NEW OPENING!!!
Don’t watch it, cause it spoils the fifth Sailor Guardian on this team & the arcs major plot twist. Why???
(Though, the latter is not very hard to guess anyway)
Anyway, Rainbow Crystal. Important episode.
Hooray! It’s an Ami episode!!
Seriously, we got how many Rei episodes and only NOW we get an Ami episode?
On top of that, the episode is more about the victim of the week than Ami.
Who in the writers room hated Mercury?
Whatever. It’s still a nice episode.
‘The Painting Of Love: Usagi And Mamoru Get Closer’
Rainbow Crystal. Important episode.
The Usagi intro also changes.
I know. Already. Guess Mako wasn’t that special /j
It’s build up to the big plot twist. I have nothing else to add.
‘Total Chaos: The Messy Love Rectangle’
Rainbow Crystal. Important episode.
Oh yippee, it’s an episode where everyone fights over the same guy. I got Miraculous flashbacks watching this episode with all the stalking involved. But at least it’s just one episode here and not the entire show. And at least that plotline is over with now, at least for this season.
Mako strangles Mamoru at one point and that got a good laugh outta me cause yeah, he deserved it.
Beryl, you don’t need to do anything. Just let Jupiter finish him.
‘Grandpa Loses Control: Rei In Danger’
Rainbow Crystal. Important episode.
Why Rei is such a prick in this show, I cant explain. But at least in this episode it’s somewhat justified…?
But like, she saw her grandpa get attacked and how that emotionally affected him, and she doesn’t do a thing about it till it’s too late?
There’s also a new ship that gets introduced here, one that wasn’t in the manga. Take it however you will.
‘Loved And Chased: Luna’s Worst Day Ever’
Rainbow Crystal. Important episode.
Wow is this the first time we got a Luna episode? I’ve ignored Luna this whole time, and that’s mostly cause she’s just been… there. There to occasionally tell Usagi how dumb she is. But here she actually gets her own little story.
And it’s actually pretty epic.
Yeah this episode is 90s comedy GOLD. They did cat lovers justice.
Jupiter also checks out Mercury. They had no reason to put that in there. But I suppose 90s Jupiter is the bi icon we needed.
‘Umino’s Resolve: I’ll Protect Naru’
Dang, Naru moved on quickly from Nephrite, huh?
But at least this ship is much healthier than that, so that’s nice. It’s something to appreciate Umino for. He’s a good guy.
I guess I should also point out the Zoisite/Kunzite ship since it’s brought up now.
It wasn’t a thing in the manga. Idk whose idea it was. But there’s no real ‘damage’ in making them a couple far as I’m concerned. Yeah there’s the ‘bury your gays’ trope, but it’s 90s, so what do you expect? And hey, could’ve been worse. Uranus & Neptune could’ve not existed.
I mean, I watched this anime subbed with the original Japanese dialogue. I didn’t watch the dub where they censored everything, but I have heard about it and heard dubbed Usagi’s voice, and I couldn’t take it seriously. I also heard about the censorship of the LGBT content in that, where they made the lesbian Sailor Guardians ‘cousins’, and in this case, making Zoisite a woman.
Yeah… the manga specifically calls them the ‘four dark KINGS of destruction’ so why would they call themselves that if a woman was a part of the group?
For those without original context, there you go. Zoisite is a guy. He and Kunzite are a canon couple in the 90s anime. Deal with it.
This episode is actually important because Sailor Moon loses the Rainbow Crystal they had. Can’t say I’m surprised. Like, why did SHE have it? Why not give it to someone like Ami if you really didn’t trust Usagi?
Whatever. Her reasoning was understandable. That’s what counts.
‘Enter Venus, The Last Sailor Guardian’
Obviously this episode is VERY VITAL.
It introduces the last Sailor Guardians of the main team, my girl Sailor Venus.
While I’m not a fan of only foreshadowing/exploring Sailor V in the first episode and a game when this version has so much time, the manga didn’t do that very much either so I can’t complain.
Actually, I more prefer this version of the chapter as an intro to Sailor V.
In the manga/Crystal, Sailor V just shows up at the end as a last ditch save. While that’s also true here, she gets more screen time to actually showcase who she is and WHY she’s a big deal. (Plus, in Crystal, the fight was more focused on Tuxedo Mask’s resolve and complex about Sailor Moon & the Legendary Silver Crystal. A moment with some great writing. BUT that whole bit was made just for Crystal. It didn’t happen in the manga. In the manga, Tuxedo Mask couldn’t even get to Sailor Moon because of a barrier, which was why Venus had to jump in)
This is also the fight where Kunzite participates in the first time.
‘The Shining Silver Crystal: The Moon Princess Appears’
This is part of a 2 parter that is VERY VITAL TO WATCH.
The plot twist is not really hard to guess if you have a brain, but it’s still there and how it’s revealed is pretty sad, Ngl. It’s also the climax of the seasons plot.
Like, even the biggest Mamoru haters have to feel bad for him here.
There is also no Usagi intro in this one. She just describes the plot of the last episode. Shows you the severity of relevance that and this episode have.
Though, there’s a whole plot point on this subject matter involving Venus in the manga. Manga viewers know what I’m talking about. And they just drop it immediately here. And…
Well it was bloody obvious that she wasn’t the thing either way, but it was also heavy characterization for her. So… I guess it’s just another Mako situation how you feel about 90s interpretation.
I’m not someone who docks points just cause it’s different. I’m someone who docks points if the change made makes the story worse. (Like, if you gave Batman a gun. Shit change. Shouldn’t have been done.) In this case, it’s not harming too much. So whatever.
Oh wait, there’s flashbacks to dialogue from the fat shaming episode and the worthless idol episode, so I should claim they’re relevant after all, right?!?!
Yeah, no. I just hate the former episode that much.
But in terms of this two parter. Even haters of the 90s anime gotta LOVE how they handle this part of the story.
‘Returning Memories: Usagi And Mamoru’s Past’
Again, VITAL TO WATCH.
It’s Part 2 of this two parter and part of the major plot twist. We get the Legendary Silver Crystal’s first appearance, a power up for Sailor Moon, Zoisite’s execution (bury your gays), Tuxedo Mask getting abducted, and there’s no Usagi intro this time, as this time it’s Luna that describes what happened last time. We also get some huge vital lore dumps and backstory here.
Rei also somewhat redeems herself a bit. Like I said, she gets better.
Great episode with a lot of plot.
‘Usagi’s Confusion: Is Tuxedo Mask Evil?’
No Usagi intro this time. At all. Instead it’s a follow up of Usagi’s trauma from the two parter. Which is needed.
Though this episode also contains one of the dumbest plans I’ve heard from a villain and the DUMBEST reasons for why it doesn’t work. And the two parter further proves my point.
HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW HER IDENTITY FROM LAST TIME?!
AND HOW DOES A DNA SCANNER FAIL ON YOU?!?! HOW?!?!
These villains are stupid. Kunzite, you’re stupid. Stop being stupid.
This episode is important because of Tuxedo Mask’s role in this episode being revealed.
Also, this episode lies to you. Roses, in fact, do not turn black when they wilt.
‘Let’s Become A Princess: Usagi’s Bizarre Training’
This episode is fun, actually.
We learn that Artemis is the guy that’s been contacting Luna this whole time… which I thought she knew that already, so it’s awkward.
And… that’s it. And in my opinion it’s not enough to call this an important episode because… it’s not.
But it is cute, so… you decide.
‘The Snow, The Mountains, Friendship And Monsters’
Oh. It’s a Usagi & Rei rivalry episode.
(Geez there are a lot of these…)
Pretty stupid they don’t immediately detect there’s a trap in this one considering they literally call it “Moon Contest”
Though Rei actually shows character development and helps Usagi in this one. Like I said, she gets better after the Mamoru incident. Huh, I guess her subplot with him meant something. It leads to some pretty cute bonding with the two that had been missing all season.
And it makes the finale hurt a bit more. You know with what scene.
This is a character episode. In terms of plot there is nothing. You decide.
‘Paired With A Monster: Mako, The Ice Skating Queen’
Uh… let’s see… we learn that the Moon Kingdom loves ice skating.
But it’s completely irrelevant to the rest of the season. And we learn nothing new about the title character. And the episodes existence makes the whole ‘Tuxedo Mask is brainwashed’ thing worse.
SKIP
‘The Legendary Lake Yokai: The Bond Of Usagi’s Family’
This episode is so sweet. Usagi’s family isn’t entirely relevant or anything, but it’s always nice when they get focus.
We also get build up to the next episode with Usagi and Mamoru’s interactions in this episode. Which honestly, I prefer over the manga and how that chapter handles it. Usagi seems less stupid here, surprisingly enough.
Very nice episode. But it’s not needed for the plot so you decide.
‘I Won’t Run Away From Love Anymore: Ami Vs Mamoru’
Yaaaaaayy!! Mercury gets to actually DO STUFF!!
And it’s glorious! It gives a strong look on her character and this is easily her best focus episode in this season!
They also bring back the boy from the last focus episode she had. Who is one of the better side characters in this.
It’s also an important episode because of what happens to Tuxedo Mask.
Mercury W
‘Sailor Venus’s Past: Minako’s Tragic Love’
Okay fr, this is the only character focus episode we’re getting of Venus this season. So take it while you can.
It’s a great character episode just for that and it’s worth a watch if you want to.
‘Usagi Abandoned: The Falling Out Of The Sailor Guardians’
Alright, this is the last filler episode that is not necessary at all.
Nothing in this episode carries over at all. It also forgets the skiing episode being development that happened. So yeah, skipping this episode makes the finale better in my opinion.
‘Usagi’s Awakening: A Message From The Distant Past’, ‘Death Of The Sailor Guardians: The Tragic Final Battle’ ‘Usagi’s Eternal Wish: A Brand New Life’
And of course, the final three episodes make up the finale. All VERY IMPORTANT.
I’m not gonna say much because it’s the ending, but it’s the lore coming full circle, a pretty devastating beat down, and an… odd ending.
I’m also very glad that this anime changed aspects of the backstory from the manga. Changing the Romeo & Juliet date to a plain ‘they were murdered’ and the queen wishing them to live happier in the future is so much less romanticism and the theme from the manga isn’t lost.
Really, my only gripe is the very ending fate of all these characters. If you’ve seen it already, you know what I’m talking about.
The manga didn’t do it, this was an aspect made just for the anime. And it DOES work bittersweetly… if this was a one season show. But it’s not, so Season 2 is left in a very awkward spot. But other than that, this is a great finale to a great season of a great anime.
Tumblr media
I actually had quite a bit of fun making this and revisiting this anime. And I do hope that with this some people realize this anime is actually NOT as loaded with pointless filler as many claim.
I thought it would be that way going in, but look at the math I picked up. Of the 46 episodes, only EIGHT of them I found completely pointless and meaningless. But that’s really only if you watch all the episodes that are in the grey area of this regard (what I put in yellow). Those are episodes that help with characterization and/or plain fun if you want it. Or you can skip them if you only want plot. That’s completely your choice.
Whichever route you choose, this is a great entertaining show that is worth your time. Just… be mindful of how many episodes there are.
(Also if you guys want, I can do the other seasons as well. I have no problem with that.)

Love Me like A Sailor (Pt. 1)
Mal x Evie (Descendants)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Hey guys! sorry this fic is so… random?? i’m suddenly obsessed with descendants since i rewatched the movies and i needdd to write for mal and evie soo here’s this lol. there’s probs gonna be two parts and idek if anyone will read this but i wanted to write it anyway !! next fic in the works is abt sam :)
Summary: It’s fall in Auradon and Mal can’t take her eyes off Evie, will she be able to ask her to the school dance? Or will someone else beat her to it? (ik i’m bad at summaries lets not talk abt it)

“Mal?”
Mal turned her head and saw Ben’s brown eyes looking back at her expectantly.
“Sorry. What?”
Mal hadn’t been paying attention at all. While Ben had been excitedly explaining what Halloween in Auradon was like, Mals attention was focused on Evie who was simply reapplying her lipstick in a compact mirror.
At first, Mal noticed that Evie had stolen her lipstick and she smiled at the fact. Then, she noticed how good her lipstick looked on Evie. The way it made her already plump lips look fuller. And how the concentrated look on Evies face was so cute.
“I was asking if you’ve ever been to a pumpkin patch?” Ben asked, he looked at Mal curiously while taking a stab at his french toast.
Mal and Evie had been in the dining hall eating breakfast when Ben decided to join them at their table. Evie welcomed Ben happily while Mal barely muttered out a “Hello” when he first sat down.
She squinted her eyes at him trying to figure out why he cared. “No, I don’t think so.” She said.
Evie put Mals lipstick away and tuned into their conversation. Her eyebrow perking up at Ben’s question.
“I can’t believe you’ve never been to a pumpkin patch?” Ben said laughing with excitement. “You’d love it! You know, I could take you one day it could be really fun.” He said eagerly.
“Uhm maybe.” Mal said, unsure she liked the idea of going somewhere by herself with Ben. “We should bring Evie, and the guys too they’ve never been either.”
“Oh, yeah,” Ben said clearing his throat, he looked down and adverted his eyes away from hers. “that’d be cool. I’ll uhm let you guys know a day.” He gave a small smile before getting up to put his tray away.
As Ben walked away Mal looked back over at Evie who was now giving Mal a not-so subtle smirk.
Mal pouted slightly confused at why Evie was making a face at her. “What?”
“Ben just asked you out on a date. And you very brutally turned it down by inviting the rest of us along.” Evie said lightly laughing.
“A date?” Mal said her mouth agape. She didn’t realize that’s what Ben was doing…
When Mal took it upon herself to spell Ben that’s all she thought it would be, a spell, but when Ben told her that he actually was in love with her she had no idea what to do. Mal didn’t love him and now he was asking her out. It was all too much.
“His crush on me is weird.” She said ruffling her eyebrows. “I didn’t mean for the love spell to work that well.”
Evie laughed her words. “Don’t stress about it too much. I’m sure the king can handle a little rejection.” She said.
Later on, the girls decided to get out of their dorm for a bit and take a walk around Araudon. The leaves were displayed around them with shades of orange and reds. Mal and Evie had never seen anything like it before. Seasons on the Isle didn’t really exist. It was always just gloomy and dead feeling.
Evie watched as even Mals usually unimpressed stare turned into one filled with curiosity and amazement.
“It’s still so shocking to me how pretty this place is. It’s like something out of a Fairytale.” Evie said. She was barely focused on the view of the leaves and almost fully focused on the slight smile Mals face held.
“Yeah.” Mal agreed looking up at Evie. She was slightly at a loss for words.
After a few beats of silence with nothing but the leaves crunching under their feet making noise, Mal spoke up.
“We should do something.” She said a hopeful glint in her eye.
Evies deep brown eyes looked into Mals, “Like what?” She asked.
Mal looked down, she wasn’t actually sure what she wanted to do, all she knew was she wanted to spend time with Evie.
“Well everyone in Auradon groans about how amazing fall is and all the fall activities they do and we’ve yet to do any.” She explained with a shrug.
Evie giggled at her and nodded suddenly getting an idea. “We should bake!” Evie said excitedly imagining her and her best friend in one of Auradons oversized kitchens.
Even though She wanted to do something, baking was not what she had in mind. Mals recent memories with baking ended in being asked out on dates she really didn’t want to attend.
Mal looked, not so convinced, “I’ve only ever baked one thing.” She claimed grimacing slightly. “And we all know how that turned out.”
“Come on Mal it’ll be fun. You don’t have to accidentally make someone fall in love with you this time, it’ll just be us anyways.” Evie said, blue strands of hair falling into her face as she looked over at her best friend.
Mal reached up and lightly brushed Evies hair behind her ears. “I mean… if you want to I want to.” She said finally giving in. Drawing her attention back to the trees around them, she failed to notice the light pink shade now painting over Evies cheeks.
As they made their way into the kitchen, Evie and Mal debated on what to make.
“We should make something easy since it is like, only our second time baking.” Mal said placing the cookbook down on the kitchens island.
Evie nodded in agreement. “How about brownies?” She said her eyes lighting up. “We could put a little ghost on there with frosting and everything!”
Mal smiled at the idea and started looking for all the ingredients they’d need. Evie went and grabbed a bowl, a whisk and, put some halloween music on to set the mood.
As Evie started to the mix the ingredients inside the bowl, she noticed Mals eyes paying very little attention to their brownie mix and a great amount of attention to her.
She looked at Mal and giggled. “You’re staring.” She said pausing her mixing of for a moment.
“How could I not?” Mal said with silly wink. Evie laughed at her and tried her best to ignore the way her stomach felt like it was doing cartwheels.
“You know I can’t believe we didn’t have this holiday on the Isle,” Mal said dipping her finger into the batter to taste it. “You’d think the villains would appreciate a day where it’d be acceptable to just be as evil as possible.”
Evie thought about it, it was weird they didn’t have Halloween on the Isle. She could imagine if they did though, and she wasn’t sure she liked the idea of it. “I think that we should be thankful we didn’t have it to be honest.” Evie said looking up at Mal who was licking batter off her fingers.
Mal now had a concerning amount of chocolate on her face and Evie tried her best not to laugh at her.
“What’s so funny?” Mal said, feeling like she missed some joke.
“You’ve just got a little something right there.” Evie said making sure she pointed over every inch of Mals face just so she knew she looked ridiculous.
Mal sarcastically laughed at Evies joke and, tried to wipe the mess off her face but failed, rubbing all the wrong areas.
“Here let me help you.” Evie said still smiling a little at the way Mal looked.
She wet a paper towel and lightly pulled Mals face towards hers so she’d be able to clean it. As she dabbed the paper towel on her cheek she didn’t fail to notice the way Mals eyes intently looked into her own almost as if in a trance.
Mal found herself enamored with Evie. Her dark and deep brown eyes. The way her blue hair cascaded down her shoulders. And the pretty curve of her lips as she focused on wiping at her face. This was like the third time today Mal couldn’t take her eyes off of her best friend. But it was impossible to, she was just so easy to get lost in.
“Okay and… All done!” Evie said checking over Mal one more time to make sure she got everything. It took Mal a second to bring her mind back to reality.
“T- Thanks.” Was all she was able to choke out as Evie pulled away from her.
Evie giggled at Mals flustered reaction and decided to lean closer to Mal once again, to give her a quick kiss on the cheek. “You’re welcome.” She said smiling.
Now Mal was really at a loss for words.
~
“And then she kissed me.” Mal said sighing.
“SHE KISSED YOU?” Jay and Carlos said in unison.
“Well, on the cheek.”
Mal, Carlos and, Jay all sat in the boys dorm room, while Dude slept on Jays chest. 20 minutes earlier Mal had burst into the room saying she needed help. She looked frantic and the boys assumed that it was some huge emergency. But, when Mal said that she thought she had feelings for Evie. They boys calmed down, much to her dismay. To them this wasn’t anything new. It was obvious Mal liked her, but to Mal it was a huge realization.
“I can’t believe you guys just knew I had feelings for her this whole time and didn’t think to let me know.” Mal said glaring at Carlos who had an annoying smirk on his face.
“We knew you’d figure out eventually,” Jay said scratching behind Dudes ears. “Plus it was kinda funny to watch you be so oblivious.”
Mal just rolled her eyes defeated.
Carlos rolled over on the bed he was lying on to look at Mal. “You know,” He said teasingly dragging out his words. “The Halloween dance is in a week and a half.”
A smirk displayed across Jays face at Carlos implication. Mal just sat there lost. She didn’t understand what they were getting at.
“So?” She said slightly annoyed.
“So… You should ask her to go with you.” Jay said raising his eyebrows as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“Ask her to go with me?” Mal repeated clearly not liking the idea. “I can’t do that.” She hung her head and fidgeted with her hands.
“I don’t see why not.” Carlos shrugged at her. “There’s no way in the world she’d say no to you and as far as I know she doesn’t have a date yet.” He said quite matter of factly.
Jay nodded along with Carlos’ statement. “She might not have a date yet but you know that someone’s gonna ask her if you don’t Mal.” He said looking up at her. “This could be your one chance.”
The words hit Mal like a brick. Her green eyes suddenly glazed with realization. She knew that it would kill her to see Evie with someone else at the dance. So she had to take the boys advice and ask her out. It sounded crazy and honestly she wasn’t sure how she would do it but, she had to.
Later that night after Mal had showered she sat in bed with her Pjs on contemplating how she was going to go about this. She thought about maybe getting Evie flowers with orange petals, or getting a halloween themed bear but all of it sounded too extreme and she was scared she’d overdo it and scare Evie away.
What if she just-
Mals thinking was abruptly interrupted when Evie appeared in the doorway talking to Doug.
She couldn’t make out what they were saying but she saw Evie giggling and Doug smiling happily back at her. Mal couldn’t help the jealousy rising in her chest.
Evie closed the door and mumbled out an apology to Mal. “Didn’t mean to wake you.” She said apologetically smiling.
Mal shot a half smile back barely turning to face Evie. “I wasn’t sleeping.” She said dryly.
Evie, being as smart as she was, very easily picked up on Mals bad mood. She decided to not bother her anymore and head to take a shower.
While Evie showered Mals anxiety picked up more and more. What if Doug had already asked her to the dance and just like Jay said she missed her one chance? If only she’d realized earlier how she felt maybe this wouldn’t have happened. Then, she would’ve already asked her to the dance they’d be able to go together. Now she was going to have to watch Evie dance with some dopey guy while she sat in the corner and moped all night.
Once again, Evie interrupted her thinking as she walked out the bathroom in her shorts and a hoodie that just happened to be Mals. “Is that my hoodie?” Mal said mouth slightly open at the fact that her hoodie looked so so good on Evie.
“Yeah I guess it is. Sorry.” Evie said bashfully while walking over to her bed. She opened up her sketchbook and started sketching something out while Mal watched her curiously.
“What do you think of this?” Evie asked, walking over to Mals bed. Evie handed her the book and sat down next to her. It was a sketch of a blue suit with cobweb patterns all over it. Mal was amazed. Even for a rough sketch it looked good.
“E, that’s amazing. Who’s it for?” Mal asked genuinely curious.
Evie smiled and closed the sketchbook up. “It’s for Doug. He stopped me on my way to the dorm and asked if I could make him a suit for the dance!” She said happily.
Mals eyes lit up at Evie and she looked at her smiling way too enthusiastically.
“What?” Evie said laughing at the look on Mals face.
“Wait, Doug didn’t ask you to the dance?” She asked her face colored with hope.
Evie lowered her eyebrows in confusion. “No?” She answered almost laughing. “Not be rude Mal but Doug isn’t really, uhm, my type.”
“I still have a chance,” Mal said under her breath not thinking about the fact that Evie could definitely hear her.
Evies face perked up at Mals words. “You still have a chance?” She repeated not quite understanding.
Mal swore she could feel her heart drop. There was no way she actually said that out loud. “I- uhm,” Evie stared into Mals eyes silently urging her to go on.
As Mals thoughts ran a million miles per second Jays words popped into her head once again. “This is your one chance.” He had said. She knew she had to ask Evie now.
“Evie,” She started. “I was wondering if you’d go to the dance with me on halloween?” Mal was too nervous to look at Evie and notice the way a huge smile spread across her face. When Evie didn’t say anything at first Mal swore she had just ruined everything. “I mean you don’t have to go with me obviously. I’m sure a bunch of other people want to go with you as well but I thought i’d still try and ask if maybe you’d go with me?” Mal was usually so sure of herself and confident. And for the first time in her life she felt shy and embarrassed.
Evie suddenly pulled Mal closer to her and wrapped her arms around her, letting out a small squeal. “Of course i’d go with you Mal!” She said pulling back slightly to look at her.
Mals face was colored with shock struggling to process Evies words. “Really?” She asked trying to make sure this wasn’t just some cruel prank.
“Of course,” Evie said like it was obvious. “I’m happy to know all my flirting payed off.” She smirked at Mal and playfully ran her hands through her purple strands.
Suddenly, it felt like all the wind had been knocked out of Mal. “What?” She said barely able to speak, too distracted by the tingly feeling of Evies hands in her hair.
“Really? The kiss on the cheek? Me constantly stealing your things and acting like I didn’t realize they were yours.” She said looking down at Mals purple hoodie that she just “happened” to be wearing.
Mal just stared at her baffled. How could she have not noticed any of that.
A laugh escaped from Evie lips and Mal couldn’t help but laugh with her. “Your obliviousness was kind of cute.”
