Ok but the entire season was leading up and showing us that while Crowley knows he’s lying and fucking up the plan, Aziraphale still thinks he’s mostly doing the right thing! He has been actively working against the “divine plan” almost since he met Crowley but Crowley has shielded him completely from the knowledge that he’s doing it.
Because Crowley takes the blame and lets Aziraphale think he’s doing the Good thing, Aziraphale still thinks he’s been doing heaven’s work. Aziraphale believes that he’s just doing it all in a slightly different way rather than totally fucking things up and lying and going against everything he’s supposed to do. Crowley knows it. Crowley has been fully aware of his own path and he knows what Aziraphale feels and thinks as well and he also KNOWS that despite his doubts Aziraphale cares too much about being Right and Good and Heavenly. And because Crowley loves him and knows what it is to lose his own faith he has been protecting Aziraphale from that the whole time by taking responsibility for “tempting” the Angel into things he already wanted to do anyway.
Of course Aziraphale thinks he can change Heaven. He doesn’t even know that he’s been defying them so badly. He hasn’t had to confront it. Crowley didn’t even tell him he’d be fully erased from existence for helping Gabriel. He doesn’t know that he has been off heaven’s side for a very long time. Aziraphale trusted Crowley so much that he doesn’t realize Crowley has been twisting the truth this whole time to make him feel better about doing the wrong thing. And it backfires because Crowley assumes Aziraphale knows the truth of his own actions.
gojo would kill your work husband. but if he were the work husband, that's a different story
REAL!! he’s such a hypocrite because if someone mentioned you had a work husband, his entire world would stop and he wold devise the absolute worst plans to make sure that your co-worker, everyone at your job, and everyone in the next building over knew that he was happily committed to you
but if he is the work husband, he’s very........ dutiful in his role. there’s a loose office/lawyer au in my head where satoru is your secretary, and for all intents and purposes, your personal assistant, and he’s good at his job, but mostly because he considers his job to be pleasing you. he has coffee for you when you arrive, he moves your schedule around without you asking, he has answers to questions before you can even ask them, he has fresh flowers on your desk weekly, pokes into your meetings to pretend to hand you a file that’s really just maybe a single document in a manilla folder with candy on top of it—he’s made himself your business, your partner; he’s made himself irreplaceable, and he loves to remind everybody of that fact.
he’s also extremely loyal. sure, he could day a week’s worth of work done in about a day, but that doesn’t mean he’ll just use his talents for anybody. he’s your secretary, so he’s at your beck and call, and everyone knows it. they know he’s the best, but also that he’s off limits—not because you won’t share him, but because satoru won’t let himself be shared.
he also extends his duties beyond work, of course. when he hands you a print out of your schedule for the day and you’re confused by the three-hour block of time you have in the middle of the day, satoru just helps you shrug your coat of your shoulders and smiles, “that’s for the lunch date you have with me, of course!” hanging up your coat in your closet for you, “i’m paying, see you soon, sweets.” and because you’re great at your job, and satoru helps you be great, nobody really questions when the two of you have time for a 13-course tasting menu at 1pm on a tuesday afternoon. and if they did, all satoru would say that you two had a lovely date
Why does Ren have 4 ears? Are they all real or is one set fake?
Hehe I’ve gotten this question a lot actually! They’re all real— I like to think hybridization isn’t always a clean balance of traits, so Ren just unfortunately ended up with two sets of ears— his Dog ears being much more receptive to sound, naturally— and sometimes when the extra intake of sound is too overwhelming, I imagine he wears earplugs in his human ears to help adjust :> it’s a bit weird, but idk! i like to make designs funky and nonconventional! I liked the idea that Ren had hearing struggles due to wonky hybridization and just kept the concept :>
okay so i saw The Bikeriders today and i knew i wouldn't be normal about this movie and even though my expectations were impossibly high it exceeded them. i was happy for it to just be a cool movie for the sake of being a cool movie, toxic masculinity ultraviolence whatever, and it was but with Jodie Comer's character narrating about what fucking idiots all these macho biker dudes are. it's like if a woman narrated Fight Club while constantly pointing out how stupid Fight Club is
also, most of it was filmed near where i live and it was so exciting seeing places i recognized! it's been all over the news for weeks
things i loved about it:
protective older woman/loose cannon younger man
lowkey romantic stalking
a relationship suspiciously close to a throuple, by which i mean protective older woman goes to war against possessive older man, re: their mutual intense love for loose cannon younger man. and that's not even subtext that's just text
hot sadboy who doesn’t talk much and is so cool he doesn’t know how cool he is
british people doing midwestern accents
NO PLOT, god bless. just stuff happening and a lot of gay tension building
accurate portrayals of the aftermath of the vietnam war
accurate portrayals of mid-century small-town life
accurate portrayals of men being fucking pathetic
things i did not love about it:
for the love of god please wear a helmet
idk man it's just a whole-ass movie about how vietnam changed the very definition of masculinity, and that awkward era between wwii and vietnam when guys were rebellious for the aesthetic, rebel without a cause shit, twinks in leather jackets manhood. the movie even points that out, like they're so against rules but then they make all these rules for their silly little biker gang because they're bored. and then allll these vets come home from a war nobody wanted and they're actually rebelling, full anti-establishment, and there's just no more honor anymore because everybody's broken. which is all to say, somebody please come into my ask and be insane about this movie with me.
anyway i'm seeing it again tomorrow and i have already started an ot3 fic goodbye
So I've been following @indieyuugure's The Mutation Situation (which is very very good), and after reading her post about how the turtles can't have it all, the next time I listened to this song this idea assaulted me like a vision.
