Hi! I am looking to write Gambit/Remy LeBeau. Favorite pairing is RogueGambit but I’m open for considering others (canon x canon or canon x oc, any gender). 18+ only (I am 20, 21 in a couple weeks)

My characterization for him is still developing, but currently my primary reference is the original animated series/some of ‘97 (I know spoilers, just haven’t watched enough of it yet to plot) as well as some comics (and nearly always reading more).

Comfort with writing NSFW/dark topics is necessary. Pretty kink-friendly and taboo/dark theme friendly. Open to many AUs (including and loving omegaverse if that suits your fancy). An important thing to know is I prefer writing him heavily submissive, but versatile (top leaning, but very flexible with that).

i woke up to this ask today, and i’ve been in a depression spell for the past couple of days so this is rather refreshing. thank you for the ask, i appreciate it. ♥️

one. squishmellows and lil’ soft things. my blankets are all soft, and i have a bunch of squishmellow children. i got five squishmellows for christmas. my favorites are cthulhu, mon calamari, and chomp. i like being comfortable it’s very relaxing and boosts my mood so things like fuzzy socks or blankets really help. and the inside of hoodies being fluffy or soft ? that shit is the bomb fr.

two. this is cheesy and i’m sorry it’s not number one, but my partner makes me happy. not just my partner, but the people who love and support me make me genuinely happy. my besties are especially good at helping lift my spirits when i’m depresso and my partner is one of them.

five. food. although i have a bad relationship with food to certain extent, i genuinely love making food and self indulging in food. cooking and baking makes me happy, especially when i get to cook for others. i don’t love cooking when i’m forced to, but i genuinely love food. i especially love deserts and i love eating dirt. 💼 - What do they do for a living? Ok so this is funny; in everywhere except the very scuffed ass modern/fc5 AU he mainly just steals shit. If asked why he’s always very ideological about why he does it, very particular about his targets but ultimately yeah. Whatever he can’t obtain via his weirdo hermit ass lifestyle he just forages in other peoples’ homes and businesses for. He could probably make some bank selling the shit he makes if he had any tolerance for the prospective buyers but that is not going to happen because stealing is less annoying.

If left to his own devices he would probably just roam around, climb some mountains, build some dumb shit, make a campfire, play guitar, who knows. As for hate. uhm. I don't think there's any day-to-day activity that he genuinely cant stand. Like he doesn't particularly like going to pick up the mail or answering the door but like it's not the end of the world. He definitely hates when things are done TO him though lmao- he hates being touched except by a VERY specific few people, otherwise expect to lose an arm.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories? There was a prominent antagonist in the main RP I did with him, a dracolich who managed to push his buttons like no one else could and more or less took away everything that he held dear. Needless to say Eran went full murder mode, forgot how to be human for a few years, the whole nine yards. I could gush about that RP for hours it is my favourite thing I’ve done with Eran like ever

🧊 - Is their current design the first one? I went and tracked down a specil [ EXCLUSIVE !! ] piece of sprinkle history: behold scrackle circa 2009.

Needless to say the current design is slightly different. Having said that I think I had the basics of his design dialed in within the first few years.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC? I can’t explain this without sounding like an insane person, but it involves a fixation that 13yo bug had with a popular Canadian country-rock band. It’s all completely irrelevant now but it is funny to think about. There were comics.

🌂 - What genre do they belong in? For a long time I had him really locked in to fantasy stuff but I am less and less enamoured with that genre as time goes on for a few different reasons. It’s familiar and comfortable for me certainly, and Eran has BY FAR the most ‘lore’ in his original, fantasy-ish canon. So I’m not sure if that counts as belonging but it’s certainly his origin. Even then that's more of a setting than a genre so I'll expand on that- I think there are certain elements that make an Eran story successful in my eyes, that aren't limited to fantasy. I need him to be able to do crimes, be a Wild Boy and generally be more of a freak than a modern setting would typically allow (not to 100% trash the FC5 au but it definitely needs…something). I think it would be funny to put him in a heist movie. I’ve always liked him best when leaning heavily into the drama, character study sort of shit.

🙌 - How many sibling does your OC have? One brother, Ash, whom he hates.

🍎 - What is the OC’s relationship w/their parents like? Bad! His whole family is a cult in its own right more or less and Eran really doesn’t want anything to do with them. It's admittedly something I haven't fleshed out toooooo much. E's very much a 'keep moving forward' type of guy so naturally his family past stuff has not had too much attention.

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC? I have had him beef it before- obviously it’s been in self contained storylines. As for anything more permanent- hard to say. I never want to rule out the possibility entirely. I definitely feel like I’ve exhausted my writing options for him at the moment so that seems close to death in a way. I can draw the little bastard until the end of days but coherent story content has been…. Lacking. :|

🍩 -Who is your OC’s arch-nemesis or rival? I don’t feel like he’s had a ‘nemesis’ really in any of the main stories. His scraps tend to be against larger organisations, the world around him or his own dumb ass decisions. I think his most persistent ‘enemy’ has been a Mages’ Guild (also from ‘The RP’ I keep blabbing on about) which he angered on many different occasions though not without good reason. ;)

My literacy ranges from literate - advanced literate and possibly novella depending on how much detail im given in return. I tend to steer away from any roleplays where the literacy’s semi lit or anything less soley due to personal preference.

I’m currently hyper fixated on the grumpy male and sweet female relationship dynamic and would love to incorporate that into the rp. As for plot I was thinking of having it revolve a young woman in tokyo starting at a finance company where she meets an older man whom happens to be her boss. I would love to play around with the enemies to lovers theme here so we could have them not get along very well at first until they eventually warm up to one another. I do have a doc going into depth for this plot so don’t be afraid to ask!

My literacy ranges from literate - advanced literate and possibly novella depending on how much detail im given in return. I tend to steer away from any roleplays where the literacy’s semi lit or anything less soley due to personal preference.

Hello everyone! It’s been forever, hasn’t it? A very happy, very belated new years to each and every one of you! Hopefully everything is going like you planned it to be so far. As for me…you can probably tell that it hasn’t lol

See, the holidays ended up afflicting me with the worst ailments that an RPer can ever dread to suffer: Burnout and laziness. It started out as aggressive burnout, not at all helped by my current fixation on old Hollywood comedians at the moment in preparation for a film class, but then I started to feel just plan lazy. This extended even to non-RP writing, too; my mind was literally “head empty, only Marx Brothers”. And despite watching a movie of theirs with a character literally named CAPTAIN SPAULDING in it I was still not motivated enough to come back.

My brief thoughts of Tumblr during these past two weeks made me feel like crap, cause I knew I was worrying you guys and I was mad at myself for running out of steam for this event (which is going to continue and wrap up in a satisfying manner, come hell or high water!). But I just couldn’t get myself to come back, not even to post up something like this. Until now!

So before I say anything else I want to sincerely apologize for leaving you all hanging and worrying you all. None of what I mentioned in the past two paragraphs is any excuse for doing that to all of you lovely people. I hope you can all forgive me and welcome me back, as I very rarely suffer burnout and this is likely to not happen again for a great while!

And I will be returning soon! Within the next two days in fact! Very belated Christmas present asks will come first, followed by returning to both event and non-event threads in force. Luckily I’m started to recall where we all left off in terms of threads so no need to drop anything thank goodness. I’m just happy that I finally have the motivation to come back here!

Mairwen: The Start of RP

I joined the roleplay community with this mage due to a group of friends I’d made outside of RP who were interested in Neverwinter Nights. [Notably @wolf-at-worlds-end ] I’d RPed before with a different character in the Supernatural fandom and yet another character in the MCU fandom, both groups had largely died out by then.

She started with two verses due to my fixation at the time on Dragon Age and Neverwinter Nights. Both were magic based, with me nixing the memory loss aspect and changing both verses since I wasn’t very interested in RPing ships or having anyone thing I was trying to do so.

Her current name came from three things: Branwen, her very first name, Marie, her Dragon Age name, and a little cheeky nod to the fact that she always travelled with her Mare. [Who was, at the time, just called ‘Mare’.

And it has just gone from there, with me taking hiatuses occasionally [long ones usually due to deaths]. I’m gonna go over her current verses with the rest of my ‘intro to Mairwen’ posts. :3

Hi! I am looking to write Gambit/Remy LeBeau (marvel/x-men fandom)

Favorite pairing is RogueGambit but I’m open for considering others (canon x canon or canon x oc, any gender). 18+ only (I am 20, 21 in a couple weeks)

My characterization for him is still developing as I hone my muse for him, but currently my primary reference is the original animated series (some of ‘97, I’ll explain lol) as well as some comics (and constantly reading more). An important thing to know is I prefer writing him heavily submissive, but versatile (top leaning, but very flexible with that).

I do write so his accent is clear, so if that makes you cringe I don’t want to hear about it lol but I’m very particular about it, so it’s not just a lazy attempt. And I accidentally got myself super fixated on Cajun French.

Comfort with writing NSFW/dark topics is necessary. I really like writing smut scenes as well as actual plot progression. Pretty kink-friendly and taboo/dark theme friendly

But I love fluff, angst, and everything in between.

Open to many AUs (including and loving omegaverse if that suits your fancy) (in this case he could be either dynamic, but the sub + vers part still applies), but always happy with no added aus.

I write semi lit to lit, third person. I basically match the length of whatever the other person writes, but I prefer minimum one full paragraph for responses. Although my starters tend to go over the discord character limit, for reference lol but replies can fluctuate

I write in discord only, so different plots, headcanons, references, etc can be put in different channels and such.

I want to form a friendship outside of writing as well, as I find that helps things feel more cohesive and comfortable.

Hoping for long term, but patience is needed because I’m a full-time student, disabled/chronically ill, and going through a move right now lol however, I am very fixated on this character so responses are likely to be more frequent or even constant for right now
