Okay so maybe the wrinkly split head devil isn't the Aging devil itself, since it being called aging definitelly feels like a mistranslation and and public safety wanting to erase old age by sacrificing the younger generation fits the point the chapter is trying to get across much nicer than if the devil was aging itself (+ if you think about it for 2 seconds erasing aging as a whole is a terrible fucking idea since no one will be able to grow anything anymore and people will be stuck as babies and kids forever whereas erasing old age should just make people not age past adulthood and probably cause people who are already elderly to just dissapear on the spot)

But that doesn't mean i'm keeping Cherryboy the exact same because if old age specifically is enough to achieve primal fear level then aging as a whole has gotta be one too. So hooray! someone's getting a slight revamp in the future :)

#i'm not changing his storyline in part one nor his design but his overall backstory will change slightly #but in his main design he is now the Aging fiend instead of straight up devil. i'll definitelly cook up a full devil design for him later #and you know him being a primal fear is fun because i had this idea that even after dying Cherry retains a sliver of his memories #from past iterations. if he is that strong of a devil then he can probably do that #and i can use this as an excuse to why i never made designs for him in hell :) i've got some fun ideas brewing #basic idea so far is that Cherry has a fascination with watching life (basically aging and its effects on living beings) even tho he has #hardly any attachment to life itself. dying is just a part of it same as growing old and such he doesn't feel anything when it happens #to other people and also himself #but being an enormously powerful devil in hell he can only watch this dance of life and death from afar as an outside observer #so after god knows how long he grows tired of sitting there in hell and kills himself to be reborn on earth #and immediatelly goes out of his way to become a fiend. severely weakening his strenght but bringing him closer to the lesser beings #by doing so. and now he can observe life from upclose and interact with the other creatures roaming around. which is something he finds #immense enjoyment in #think like a god that roleplays as a human every once in a while just because they're bored. and when they die they go back to godhood #so thats why all of Cherry's versions on earth are these dudes w animal skulls. little fiends #he can be strong and all-powerful when this life is over. and in hell he will look back at it quite fondly #csm #csm oc #chainsaw man #csm spoilers #csm part 2 #Cherry #hyena ramblings

I've been rewatching daredevil and oh my my, it's even better than i remembered, this show is so criminally underrated

#daredevil #daredevil netflix #matt murdock #marvel #marvel mcu #i blame loki for bringing me back to watching mcu related content #I'm rewatching it now because of echo #i mean wilson fisk is there and they're gonna bring back matt in the mcu so i need to see them #like i don't care about the mcu anymore I'm so fed up with marvel and disney but this is these are the good shows from the past #and i never got to finish daredevil (or the punisher)#because i was watching all these shows in order and i found jessica jones and luke cage more boring #so i could never go past luke cage 2x01 #don't get me wrong i LOVE luke as a character and i also enjoyed the first season #but it has that style where the episodes are super slow and boring until the big extreme violence plot twist in the end #and the season takes a lot of time to grow on you to the point where as soon as you're caught it's over #anyway #daredevil is the best of these #then the punisher #and the defenders #this is very unpopular but i actually enjoyed iron fist very much too #it was lacking in quality compared to all the others but randy was just such a panda bear I MEAN COME ON #🐼#anyway rewatching it now #it's been SO LONG

I think one of my favorite things about Doctor Who is that the Daleks are literally supposed to be the ultimate racists or whatever, determined to kill everyone who's different to them, but they're just sludgy guys in garbage cans, sliding around and yelling "EXTERMINATE" to everything and everyone.

Just realised I can't use tomorrow to relax because I have to prepare a stupid demo for the staff meeting on Monday 🙃

#ruffled feathers #we have to come up with a game that's 'safe focused and frequent' and doesn't leave anyone waiting for a turn #the TL for my demo is an entire fucking script i kid you not #i'm like. how tf do i make a game of this #it's one thing when you just have to do on Q and one A #but i have an actual dialogue and the age range is 10-12s #so i guess the best thing to do is just some super unoriginal janken ladder game?#everyone knows it so it's not like i'm bringing anything new or interesting to the table #but i have one day off and i've had a 6-day work week at a new school with POs and i have another 6-day week coming up #and i'm still processing a complicated and painful break up with a long-term partner #i barely had time to recover from jetlag before not just launching back into work #but travelling to a new school with Ss i've never met that's so far from yamagata city i had to stay at a hotel #so fuck it. i'm gonna be boring and unoriginal #i'll talk to my boss beforehand bc he's very understanding and i hate disappointing him #just explain that it's not gonna be my best and i know it's not my best for xyz reasons but i promise i'll try harder next time #he'll probably still be disappointed but i'm sure we'll both learn to live with it #besides. no offence to this one colleague of mine but i know he'll quarter-ass some garbage last minute #so whatever happens my boss will probably be less disappointed in what i have to show than what this guy does lmao #i'm such a bitch sometimes but it's true #watch him now put in an effort and come up with something spectacular for a change

have you watched the pjo show?

I saw the first 2 episodes when they came out at a watch party one of my friends threw, and as soon as they ended I realized I didn't particularly care to keep going. It wasn't like, outrageously bad by any means, I just don't think it gripped me enough to want to continue, and there were enough odd adaptational choices that I thought weakened the story that I lost interest. I might have tuned back in if the changes actually built to something interesting in the later episodes, but from everything I've seen it kinda seems like they just took the teeth out of the story, which was what I was worried about.

That being said, the cast seems really great and well suited to their roles, so like, if they improve the writing and pacing in the later seasons and stop sanding down all the rough edges, I might pick it back up. But otherwise, pass.

#im like famously bad at watching tv tho so me not wanting to continue is less dramatic than it probably sounds #i just don't really watch it casually anymore so I'll only follow along with shows that i really really like #i got another ask about the show a little while ago and i was like 'oh ill answer that once ive caught up' and then i never caught up so #sorry to whoever sent that i wasn't ignoring you i just never got to the ep you mentioned #like if I'm trying to be optimistic. given how quickly shows get canned if they're not immediately super popular. and given that this is a #disney product. its possible that once the show proves it can be commercially successful and the characters get older they might stop #playing it so safe and boring and bring some of the harder and more complicated elements back in. and like. that won't fix what they've #already fumbled but it will at least make the story better and more interesting. but idk how likely that is esp since #rick riordan seems totally on board with all the changes and it sounds like he doesn't really get why they diminish the story #like i feel like they're thinking too much about whether or not a change has a huge impact on the plot and not enough about how it #impacts the characters and the overall theme and vibe of the story. if that makes sense #like sure we still got from point A to point B in roughly the same way but that trip means something different for the characters now #and if you do that enough times you end up with a completely different result at the end even if we're technically in the same place #percy jackson show #asks

Stop flipping houses and making everything white & gray. We need things to be outdated and for wood paneling to be everywhere again

#100% serious and ok maybe living in a house with wood paneling everywhere for the past 4 months has radicalized me but still #just let places look like shit again and have personality i'm so tired of everything having to be renovated & boring anymore #and not just with houses bring back places looking cool & vintage again like bowling alleys & grocery stores & diners #just thinking about how my dad's family room used to be wood paneling w/ brown shag carpet & a nautical theme #but my stepmother painted it all white & gray and put in wood floor so it looks boring & generic now :( WHERE'S THE PERSONALITY #just please take your modern style & go buy newer houses or houses that are in total disrepair or something leave the cool old houses alone #i seriously think i'd be so much happier if i lived in the late 70s/early 80s lol #this post has been brought to you by me watching napoleon dynamite & loving the aesthetic of it haha #p
