I recently became aware of discourse surrounding the Ed/Stede/Zheng fic I wrote with P. Funnily enough I didn't even get credited as one of the authors, which is the worst part of the whole thing to me!

However, I want to remind everyone on OFMD tumblr that NO ONE in OFMD has a canon sexuality, with the possible exception of Lucius, whose mum thought he liked girls for years.

You can head canon anyone however you like, but neither Ed nor Stede has a canon sexuality, and insisting that they do rings my biphobia alarm.

I am so curious what this means. Who. Who is out here spreading lies. Who is lying? Who is the liar? My first thought was "oh no I've done something horribly wrong and didn't realize it and am now being punished." But I don't think I've told any lies recently?? If I had it wasn't intentional, and via the intentions I think that means even if I said something that wasn't true it wasn't a lie it was just a mistake?

My second thought was that this was about the asscourse because that the only other recent thing where there's been a divide between anything, and Fin has been called a liar (lovingly) by a few people for saying Fintan's cake be shakin', but this is also such a vague ask that I have nothing to validate this theory.

Then my third thought was "but why! why are their days numbered!" I feel like numbered days for a lie is a little extreme, but that of course depends on the lie. But I hope the liar didn't go to the extremes when lying.
