My headcanon!, ㅠㅠ but I think R!Ciel& O!Ciel and Lizzie’s story is based on the story of King George VI and his wife, queen mom. Back to ch.109 you’ld see the Midford’s manor, it’s the Glamis Castle located in Scotland. (Ch.14 said that Francis was married to Scottish Noble) This castle is childhood’s house of Queen mom. Also Queen mom’s name is Elizabeth Angela Marguerite Bowes-Lyon as if Yana once said that it’s Lizzie’s middle name in guild book!

King George VI was born in 14 December and he has one brother King Edward that is actually rightful heir to be the king. King George was ill often and was described as "easily frightened and somewhat prone to tears" like O!Ciel. He never thought that one day he would become the King.

It'd be hilarious if Ciel's real name is actually Albert! But knowing Yana, I think she'd choose a rarer name because it's a very 'English' name (even if its origins are from Germany).

You know what strikes me the most about this picture?

That is, Ciel's presence in the kitchen.

Which speaks about his character, tbh.

Given the time period and the way society worked back then, I'm sure that the master of the house rarely - or never - stepped into the kitchen (even Sebastian said so himself, that the kitchen wasn't a place for Ciel). But there he was, snacking away or licking his finger oh-so-casually, just like Finny. And seeing that there's only one plate on the table, I'd go and assume that both Ciel & Finny took the curry from the same plate. Moreover, Finny didn't seem surprised/awkward to see Ciel there, which means that this isn't the first time that Ciel has joined them in the "below stairs".

Ciel, despite everything, is still a child. He's mischievous. Granted, some of his mischief are more dangerous than others, but he still enjoys simple things like this. He might be the master of the house, but he has no qualms about going to the kitchen to join his servants in curry tasting or to eat snacks with them. I don't think you'd often find an earl in his kitchen, eating with his servants.

This is just one of the things that greatly differentiate him from his brother. R!Ciel would rather die (again?) than getting caught spending time so casually with a bunch of servants. He even talked down at Sebastian (something that I'll be forever salty about).

This is why no matter how much he'd like to pretend otherwise, o!Ciel would never be like his brother. Because after everything has been said and done, he's a good person at heart.

ok so lemme tell you i had the BIGGEST reading slump ever just as i started to read this. so this review may be a little choppy at some points because i've just pointblank forgotten some parts and don't wanna go back and re-read finny's pov just yet.

i was so on the fence about reading this because on one hand i really wanted to read finny's pov and on the other, complete and utter heartbreak.... yeah....... so anyway i read it.

when i tell you that this book had me ugly crying in the middle of the night. like seriously finny's pov?? fucking broke me. are you kidding me? the way he speaks about autumn? ugh when am i gonna find a guy like finny fr? but seriously this book had me on a rollercoaster of emotions just from the heartbreak knowing whats already gonna happen to finny as he describes how happy he is and how he can't believe autumn loves him back, to the smile i had on my face reading about 'the moms' bickering over baby stuff for autumn.

i will say this now i did expect a little more (hence the rating). i wanted idk more closure at the end there. idk rlly know how to describe it better since its 10 o'clock at night and ive had zero sleep for the past four nights in a row. but yeah i wanted something more. (bitch u wanted finny to be alive)

tbh i wasn't all that excited to read about jack. (also to be fair i was still sobbing from finny's pov so that probably didn't help) like i seriously just thought it'd be some jock trying to process finny's death by hooking up with alexis (who by the way can go jump up her own ass and die) but we got the whole other side of him where he was genuinely affected by finny's death and really was his best friend. but the way he didn't like autumn way just- yeah. also i saw him and sylvie coming from a mile away like seriously it wasn't very subtle.

backstory is basically the same from his canon -- older brother jason dies in a piloting accident when finn's 10, finn's dad becomes an abusive alcoholic, finn's parents separate when finn's like 14 or so (his mom takes finn's younger sister marjorie while his dad gets custody of him), and finn is generally traumatized and doing his best to cover it up with a winning personality and terrible coping mechanism, except now he's a ferret mobian while doing it all -- i'll be playing him around 21-25

finn's dad, finn's brother, and finn all work for GUN -- finn's dad works closely with commander tower in defense strategies and counterespionage, jason was a pilot, and finn is an engineer

finn's main job at GUN is maintaining vehicles and systems for the special ops teams, giving him opportunities to work closely with team dark

however, finn's also tasked with reverse engineering recovered eggman tech so that GUN can figure out how to take advantage of it for themselves, or fight back against robotnik in the future

because of finn's familiarity with eggman tech and his father's high rank, finn's got the opportunity to see schematics and plans not available to many others, such as blueprints and charts from the ark, including the technology used by gerald robotnik as well as the eclipse cannon -- knowing this information can make him a valuable ally or possible liability, should he ever be manipulated into sharing the information with people intent on using it for evil

mentally, finn's not in a great place while working at GUN -- not only does he have the reminder of his brother's death hanging around him constantly, but working so closely with his father is fairly traumatic for him, as well.

finn's dad is callous and puts work before anything else (especially after the loss of his oldest son), and finn often feels neglected at best or outright belittled and demeaned by him at worst while at work. occasionally, his father will still physically abuse finn, but it's lessened significantly since finn moved out and lives alone

there is a VERY real possibility that finn could be swayed to share his knowledge and skills with someone aiming to take advantage of him, all because of how they treat him.

finn's starved for validation, for a father figure, mentor, or confidant who makes him feel seen and understood, so someone who could fake that would essentially be able to get finn to do anything for him (think commander tower, robotnik, even infinite possibly, etc)

i'm not saying finn would help build a new eclipse cannon for anyone who asks but i AM saying he would do it for someone really good at pretending finn matters to them

on a less bummer of a note, finn does ex gear races as a hobby! he's not pro-level by any stretch of the imagination, but he can keep up with experienced racers on medium difficulty courses and will often race for fun

he customized his own ex gear and will fix up boards for anyone who asks him nicely or makes it worth his while

also merlin and i were playing murder of sonic the hedgehog last night and named the MC after finn and tbh..... it kind of fit LMAO... tmosth but finn is just thirsting after 90% of the cast on the first day of his weird summer job before he starts working at GUN. might as well be canon at this point

So I've tried a post like this before and it seemed to help a little so I'm gonna try it again.

I am a very socially anxious person. I'm not used to being the first one to speak (especially since I'm chronically talked over) or reach out because it's hard to dictate who wants to have a conversation and who doesn't. And trust me I'm still trying to wage what that means for a variety of people.

But the cool thing about online anyhow is that we can get back to messages at any time. And that may mean we forget said message and think of the response in our head and we consider that as *actually* responding when it isn't (100% guilty of this) but it's fine. It's a step forward and at least you can say you tried and you never know you may get a ping back.

With all that said, I just wanted to say that my inbox is always open. I know with all the posts and the notes and stuff I guess I can come off as intimidating but I can 100% assure you I'm in the exact same boat of wanting to reach out and chat but super anxious about what to say, what's your tone, etc, etc.

Hi <3 I'm gonna talk about my art because I put a lot of effort into it and arg. I need people to NOTICE things.

Redrawing of this art ♡. It's been about a year, give or take a couple months, so I wanted to redraw it with the shock character designs, because that's the "one year later" story arc.

Staring with Keys. She got longer hair and more piercings. The flowers around him are red, pink, and white Camellias. Red is for passion and romance, pink is longing, and white is innocence or like. adorable-ness?

Finny and OP!! Op's design hasn't changed much tbh. They gets washed and better taken care of, but bun insists that their torn ear remains the same. Finny also doesn't change a lot. The big thing is adding patches to star's jacket as the story progresses. Unfortunately, I did not have the space for everything I wanted to get to. We have the Moon sleeve for lux's space powers, and tentacles for Kraken. Flowers and rocket are there because I vaguely remember them being on Kep's jacket. The anatomical heart is for Sweet, and I wanted to include a lock and an orange for OP and Keys. Around them is Ivy for friendship <33

Bunny!! I am just realizing I forgor to put finger joints but its ok. Ignore it. Her flower is lavender, symbolizing distrust. The cuppy cake in her hand is a ref to the Baby Sweet and Bunny story Kep wrote <3

Lambent!!! I'm trying to branch out a little more with dark academia fashion for them, but a small square doesn't show much. I do kinda feel guilty bc I gave them the most static pose :(( but I didn't really know what to do, and it is the one who is most likely to follow the "stay in frame" rule. It had two necklaces, blue and yellow, for Depths and Madelyn. The flowers around them are baby's breath and blue asters, both for brotherly love.

Static! I accidentally swapped his eye base color and hair base color here, but I kinda like the lighter hair for him. He gained an extra pair of eyes!! Because indulgence. Also I put him in something that was NOT a suit. A collared shirt/sweater vest combo still seems kinda formal, but slightly more comfy, and he is supposed to be working on control issues, so I feel like he'd stop constantly wearing full blown formal attire. There is less flowers around him and Bronze bc Sweet doesn't really like either of them. His flowers are black dahlias :D They are meant to be betrayal and death.

Bronze!! I changed the scaring on her body to sheets of metal. I feel like he'd change the burnt skin to metal because. She also has issues with showing weakness. I also updated the metal streaks in her hair so they look more metal-y. Her flowers are lily of the valley, which represent two things. The first is pain due to death. I feel like that's very fitting for EL, but is more of a generic deity thing. The second is "return to happiness". This is more directed towards Static's story, but it's because she is returning, and they both are healing and being happier.

Last but not least! Sweetheart!! my girl!! In the sketch I had her hair in pigtails but I feel like that looked dumb so I took it out. The whole art piece has really been leaning into the plants and flowers, and that's because she is expanding her flower and plant abilities. Her plant is pomegranates. Because uh, Persephone. Also they mean death and sanctity! which I also thought was fitting. Just ignore they also mean fertility we are picking and choosing our meanings here.

i'm sorry for the late response too, i got busy doing stuff and forgot i had something in my inbox! but i know the ask mentioned a scene in Higurashi: When They Cry where one of the girls beats the other one up with a desk and i tried to look that up and im not sure if i found that exact scene but i saw a lot of ppl beating the shit out of each other and i fully agree that finny deserves to be that unhinged and violent for his lovers!

tbh i suppose finny is already pretty violent for people he loves, but i think itd be sooo good if he was doing it in front of his lover just going fully unhinged and so pissed he's shaking and crying a little while getting covered in someone elses blood and viscera 😍 i think no matter who you ship him with theyd be a little freaked out from the sight at first but slowly walk up to him to try and calm him down, and maybe if there are other people around they try to warn his lover not to get near him but they know finny would never hurt them, he only hurts others FOR them, so they end up being the one able to calm him down and give him a kiss while hes still a little scary looking cuz he deserves it for protecting them <3

Dewey is just too hurt to listen which even though he's a dummy (ilh tho) I can't blame him. If He Had Been With Me (by Laura Nowlin) book review

I'm going to give it 3.5/5 stars

where to start....

first off, i liked the message of the book (seeing the optimism in the darkest moments and really never giving up i think) but it was such a pain to read.

autumn was legit the most annoying and boring narrator ever. i liked the idea of her character but it seemed poorly executed.

also, going off a little here, but it seemed like the book was way too focused on sex. maybe it was just me as a highly asexual person, but it felt like wayyyy too much

finny was honestly boring as hell. i can't think of anything compelling about his character

autumn's friends were annoying as well

in summary, i don't think it was the characters so much as the overall theme keeping me hooked, which is rare for me tbh

the ending felt rushed and way too predictable, but it wasn't as bad as some i've read.

honestly, i was a little confused at first. i think that autumn's suicide attempt (i did read that part correctly, right?) felt a little sudden, but also in character, so i actually didn't have anything against that except for it and her depression made me uncomfortable cause it felt a little too relatable

i read this entire book in the backseat of the car next to my brothers, holding it up near my face so they couldn't see what i was reading, it was that kind of book

honestly, i don't think i'd ever reread it, but it wasn't terrible. i think there's a sequel or companion novel or something, but my library doesn't have it so idk if i'll read it

tl;dr i loved the message, the plot and characters not so much but it still moved me and was a genuinely good book, however definitely not one of my favorites and i probably won't reread it any time soon

additional note: the review on the back of my copy said it was a "sweet, authentic love story". i disagree. it was a not a love story. it was a story about lost love and lost chances, but it was not a love story

Yes, I definitely received it! It's been in my drafts on my old account, still about halfway through being answered :'3 Then I went through a weird life change and a bunch of my interests changed for a while. But now I'm slowly focusing on my Black Butler insert again sometimes, I still want to get around to answering it! I was just struggling for a while to answer it because I wasn't as fixated on them as I used to be. But I will defo get around to posting them because you brought up a lot of great points and questions!

Also little sidenote, this does contain some manga spoilers, specifically with certain events that are on-going.

📝: How would your story in canon go? How would you influence the events of the original story?

It's a bit of a WIP because I haven't totally figured that out yet, and it subject to change as the manga progresses! This manga's plot is so massive at this point, but I really want to fit my s/i's arc in with canon as much as I can. I can see it being shown in two ways... One being their place in the overall story (working with Undertaker and his plans) and the other perhaps being a look into their backstory before they met Undertaker, and how they came to be (which is still so messy and needs a lot of work bc I'm unhappy with it :'D). Kind of like with Finny, Mey-Rin and Baldroy got.

But yeah... As I said, it's complicated rn because of how massive the plot of Black Butler has gotten. But I think my s/i does have stronger roles in certain arcs, like the Book of the Atlantic, the school arc, ect. There, they might start showing how they have a hand in Undertaker's plans.

If I had to grossly generalise it right now for the sake of this question, they're heavily involved with the 4 Stars/Lords. Particularly, they work as a sort of guardian for Lord Vega, similar to how Undertaker is like a 'guardian' for Lord Sirius/R!Ciel.

💞: Aside from with your f/o, who else would you commonly be shipped with? Why?

This is quite interesting, I've never thought about this before! I had a relationship chart with my s/i and the other Kuro characters that I don't think I ever posted...? (Maybe I can update it and post it). But I'm looking through it because I think it would be quite helpful for this particular question...

While I don't see my s/i being exactly interested in anyone else romantically besides Undertaker in their story, if I had to look at it from a purely fandom perspective... I would say perhaps they'd be shipped with other grim reapers, Ran-Mao, or maybe even Gregory Violet.

I say this because in the grim reapers case, it's pretty self-explanatory. Chances are my s/i would have to have common run-ins with the other grim reapers since they're working with Undertaker. And this way, I think there's bound to be a chance of her building some sort of relationship with the other grim reapers, whether it be platonic, or more than that. Or in a most-likely case... rivalry.

I actually had an on-going inside joke with an irl friend about Ronald in particular. Basically, for a long time I didn't like Ronald for some reason, I can't remember why *shrugs*. But it started this joke about Ronald perhaps flirting with my s/i or showing interest in her, but it's completely one-sided. My s/i can't stand him tbh lmao, she'd shut him down completely.

As for Ran-Mao and Gregory... My s/i does admire Ran-Mao for her strength and skills, so this could blossom at some point into a small crush on my s/i's end - but I don't think Ran-Mao would necessarily return the same feelings or even know about my s/i's crush on her. And while in my s/i's 'canon' story they never like Gregory Violet in a romantic sense, they both share a lot of common ground and build a platonic friendship in the school arc at some point. I think I could see a fanbase dubbing that as 'shipping material,' but again, I wouldn't consider it ever actually being anything more than friends.

💘: Why would people love your ship? Why would people dislike your ship? How might it start debates?

I think people would be very split on the topic. On one side, I can see people perhaps liking it because my s/i represents hope, and new start for Undertaker. He's been amongst humans for so long, and working on his reanimated corpse plan for decades. I think he's actually very miserable despite his cheery facade... He's been isolated, not just from most people, but from supernatural forces as well (like the other grim reapers). So when my s/i comes into his life and they eventually start seeing him past this wall he's built for himself... his vulnerability, his past, what motivates him, ect... I think they'd really start to build a connection, even if Undertaker denies it himself. It would lead to an internal conflict where Undertaker might start questioning his plans, and want to focus on building a new life for himself with my s/i.

I think Undertaker wants to believe that my s/i is more like a tool in the grand scheme of his plans. Another person he is indifferent towards and will discard once he achieves his goal. But there would be little moments that contradict this. Like him rescuing them in extreme moments of danger, refusing to abandon them by a split-second, even though it might have looked like he was going to, and even if it put him at great risk. Because in actuality, even if he himself doesn't want to acknowledge it, they're becoming more and more important and valuable to him. And I think those moments would be what people might find interesting about their relationship. Because on one hand you've got an antagonist/grim reaper who is old enough to think he's seen it all, and who probably thinks hardly anything can get to him now. And on the other hand, someone who has extreme abandonment issues and relies on him, and could perhaps bring out those 'human' emotions in him that he thought he'd forgotten long ago.

But as for the other side... I think I can see people disliking the ship too, of course, for a few reasons. But I think the main complaint would be that it 'gets in the way' of the Undertaker x Claudia Phantomhive ship. And I've actually had run-ins with actual fans like this since being in the fandom for the last 10 years. Listen, I totally get the reasoning behind this theory and if you ship them, that's cool. But you know what? IMO Undertaker deserves to be happy and have a new relationship. Why should he have to obsess over an old relationship that led to his misery, destruction and the countless deaths/sacrifices of other people? Why should he stew in his own self-hate and do nothing think over this past relationships mistakes? The answer is... he doesn't have to. There are literally no rules saying he can't. Him being in a relationship and building something new with someone else doesn't take away anything from his past relationship with Claudia.

Anyways, sorry, I'm getting heated so I'll leave this can of worms to be opened for another day. I just have a lot of feelings about this topic because of run-ins with toxic fans in the past lol. It's still something that agitates me.

💌: How would your dynamic be portrayed? What might people focus on most? Any misconceptions?

I think they're dynamic shifts through the course of the story, and is often messy and lop-sided tbh. With Undertaker, you can expect anything but a linear relationship.

I think in the beginning, it very much starts off with my self insert relying on him and needing him to survive (abandonment issues go hard). But as the story progresses, it will gradually switch around between them needing him, to him needing them.

I think misconceptions would pop up because this change would be subtle and might not be noticed by some. My s/i would grow more confident, but I think it would be like a 'blink and you'll miss it' kind of way since they're naturally mostly passive and quiet. If that makes any sense. They don't suddenly become out-spoken or an unbeatable force. But they pick up on Undertaker's vulnerabilities and traces of humanity in him that are still left as they grow a deeper connection to him. I think they'd actually be smarter than most give them credit for, especially when picking up on the emotions of others. Undertaker would perhaps have moments where he reaches out to them, and seeks out them for help, instead of the other way around. But because it would be subtle, people might think that my s/i just constantly relies on Undertaker throughout their entire character arc, which isn't true.

Don't know if you still do ask stuff, but a silly thought popped in my head: how would the ROs reassure (or not) an mc asking about a little insecurity. Like, "Does my nose look big?" "I think my teeth are crooked." "You liked how I looked today, right?"

I accept asks! But they're definitely on the backburner as I'm trying to churn out the latest update at the moment! I try to answer the ones that I can answer quick and easy, but I do read all of them!.

Anyway on to the Ask!

Finny: Finny doesn't really care about the MC's physical appearance, so he'll probably answer insensitively because he doesn't really get why the MC's insecure. 😬 But he'll at least reassure them that He likes him for who they are. Big nose and crooked teeth and all. Which may or may not cause even more emotional damage tbh.

Thea: She'd reassure the MC by tenderly kissing all party she loves on the MC and drag them to bed and make sure they're loved tenderly. Then she'd open up about the parts of herself she's insecure about so

Linnet: She'd blush and clumsily list all the parts and things about the MC that she likes and find attractive. She go off on a tangent that while she does find the MC very attractive, the MC not being attractive it doesn't diminish the quality of the person she fell in love with.

Medea: She'd offer to fix it. 😭 Like, Medea gets it, so she'll offer a permanent solution to the problem. It might be super sus, but Medea believes sweet words won't fix the problem, like she doesn't care about the MC's looks, but she'd want the MC to like who they are inside and out and will help them get the kind of results they'd want.

Helios: They'd be blunt about it. If Helios didn't find the MC attractive then they wouldn't be fucking to begin with. So since they DO find the MC attractive, that's all that matters in the end. Then they'd drag the MC off to show them every single part they enjoy about the MC.

Eirik: Who cares about looks when you have wealth and status? Its fine if the MC is ugly. Personally Eirik would probably think they look just fine. Not everyone can be as handsome as him, of course. The MC is like fourth or fifth place in his eyes, so honestly there's nothing to be worried about-

I can’t wait for Finny and snake story, first because Finny is a sunshine and Snake is so mysterious to me, like at first I thought he was just a shy boy but then reading some posts saying he could be a demon or smth, tbh I don’t think he’s an experiment subject like Finny because he was shown inside a circus cage like he doesn’t have any memories of being a test subject, maybe he never met his demon parent he was in a circus environment since little. And also I have to add that the interaction between Finny and snake is really cute and I feel like they can be genuine friends, Finny is more like an older brother to Ciel imo, and Finny and snake had similar childhoods being neglected and abused.

Norfolk flashbacks

I think the main idea of Snake being an experiment is one in which Snake is born as an experimental genetic cross between human and snake… or something like that. Not like how Finny was given injections. Still, it’s a stretch. It’s actually easier for me to believe Snake might be part demon, and I’ve posted a time or two about that.

I don’t know which one of them we will get the major flashbacks from. But I say it’s probably Finny, since he was the first servant to be hired after our earl’s return to the manor, and because he’s so completely loyal to our earl. We have hints about his life at that research facility, and we have hints regarding how he escaped, but that’s about it. We don’t know how long he was there or how he got there, but I have a theory he’s the son of the researcher who was sent to kill the subjects. I take special note of how the guy kills the other two subjects first and then still hesitates on S-012. I see Finny and Sieglinde as having very similar situations, growing up in military facilities where they are lied to and forced to do as they are told. And it’s their own parents, who should be protecting them, who get them involved. We know that’s the case with Sieglinde, but I theorize it’s similar for Finny, except that his father didn’t want to kill him, whereas Sieglinde’s mother was perfectly willing to sacrifice her own daughter to keep the military’s secrets. And Sieglinde leaves with the knowledge her own mother set her up. If that researcher is Finny's father, he might have escaped without learning the truth.

I would love to see Finny's story, because details are definitely missing from the snippets we've seen. I wonder if the guy (if he's Finny's father) ends up confessing this to his son... and then takes his own life. We don't actually know who kills this guy; is it Finny or himself? I'd previously assumed it was Finny, but now I'm not sure. Either way, this guy has a reason for hesitating to kill S-012, when he shows no such hesitation towards killing the other two kids. Even more interesting if the guy calls him by anything other than S-012 before he dies.

We could get some more background on Snake, but I don’t think it matters quite as much. Plus, we saw him join the Phantomhive household, so Yana-san doesn’t need to cover that again. It’s quite possible Snake doesn’t even know whatever particularly interesting truth there is to learn about him, like why he looks part snake, why he can communicate with snakes, why the pungi (snake charming instrument) affects him, etc. Reminds me of the first kuromyu, Friendship, in which the demon, Kirito, is fatally injured by Yuuki playing this special flute that exorcises spirits and demons. I see that musical as a huge parallel to Agni's later death. He's not a demon, but he can go toe to toe with one, thanks to the Right Hand of Kali. In the link just above, there's a discussion about this.

And here's another post on the topic... making parallels between these dynamic duos: Yuuki and Kirito, our earl and Sebastian, and Soma and Agni. Kirito and Agni each become better people, and they both end up dying to protect their masters. Could Sebastian, particularly if he learns to become a better person, end up dying, too? Even if Snake isn't a demon/part demon, he has very special non-human abilities, while Finny, though "fortified", is still apparently 100% human. And even though Finny isn't Snake's master, Snake could end up dying trying to protect him... or dying trying to indirectly protect our earl. Whatever the exact scenario, if we lose Finny or Snake in Norfolk, I envision us losing Snake.

Tbh, I never really cared super much about Ciels revenge. I'm interested in know the manga canon perp, but I'm more focused on the road, than the goal. My biggest beef is just that certain stuff gets danced around, in a not so satisfying way. We basically already know how the current Bard-arc will end, we knew how MeyRin's arc would go, I can already predict how Finny/Snakes, and Ciel's spa day will go. It's like if a detective show just told you what's going to happen, and still expect surprise

I’m actually the opposite, as maybe you guessed by now, seeing my blog. While I understand criticism about this: 

I am ok with Ciel waiting for the big bad to make a move on him, like he told Soma back when he met him and like Frances taught him. All I care about is why Vincent was killed.

Sure, we could read about Ciel investigating about his family, trying to learn more about his father, his grandmother, the Undertaker, etc but since we know that he considers his revenge to be for his own sake only...

...I’d say it’s possible he wants the big bad to make a move on him, not on Vincent’s or Claudia’s “heir”.

Of course, this isn’t because Ciel isn’t seen investigating that Yana-sensei shouldn’t mention the main plot more. As @chibimyumi pointed out, aside from Seb researching about UT’s lockets in ch85, we hardly got any answer and that’s definitely an issue, pacing-wise. 

All that to say, I don’t care about the road we take to get there, I just want to know what befell the previous Watchdog generations that it would lead Ciel, a kid with 0 info about his family, to wait so patiently for revenge. 

My current take on it is that Victoria killed Claudia because of something related to Prince Albert’s death and, whatever Vincent did or didn’t do years later as her Watchdog, his death is not unrelated to the circumstances of his mother’s.  

TL;DR Came in for Ciel’s emo aesthetic, stayed for them and for what the hell happened to his father and grandmother. If only Tanaka, UT and Frances would talk.......

Before I say what I'm gonna say I want to clarify something: I love Tyrion Lannister and I DO think Peter Dinklage is a terrific actor. However he didn't deserve to win the Emmy this year. I can barely remember him in s7, because nothing happened to his character, who was used simply to let Daenerys shine. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was so much more deserving of the prize, and if not him Matt Smith or Joseph Finnies. And BTW, GoT winning is also bullshit, S7 was nonsense.

I agree that ncw should have won (ncw should have won for s3 tbh) and that got isn’t really deserving of the main drama prize because I’m 100% sure every other show was better written but at this point... guys like, I don’t even care. I mean, the show has gone to the trashcan in S5 and the actors are vastly deserving of a better script but if they don’t get it and they still get recognized I’ll be happy for them bc I like all of them and I’m glad they get recognition, so like... I don’t even care enough to feel like everyone else was robbed esp. since at least in the other categories it did seem fairly balanced (idk I just know I finished watching the crown last month and it deserved everything it won) and the emmys never were about quality same as the oscars sooooo *shrug* I’ll hope for ncw to get his nod next year since they owe it to him at this point and whatever xD I’m too old to lose my shit over award ceremonies
