RIGHT and like i'm not gonna waste my breath hating on her 24/7 because i quite literally do not care enough but jesus christ man she's EVERYWHERE like it's damn near impossible to go on any social media and not see her. even if i block every taylor swift tag on tumblr (which i do) i have irl friends who like her and repost her insta posts on their stories and i'm just sitting here like? really? most of her albums barring folklore and evermore are fine at best (which folklore is actually one of my favorite albums but i have a cd that i listen to because i refuse to stream <3). idk. and then there's the fact that she only uses her status and her money and her power when it directly benefits her which like. sure you could argue celebrities don't have to talk politics they're not politicians blah blah but at the end of the day in the political climate we live in not saying anything is already saying so much.

she's a rich white person and billionaire white people will be billionaire white people. i'm not gonna make an exception for her just because she's a feminist girlboss fighting the patriarchy or whatever.

obviously i think its good to grow out of mocking people relentlessly especially to their face but honestly i think people should also grow a bigger backbone with regards to like. someone saying their interest is lame or sucks. like a lot of people have turned the idea of 'oh we need to kill the idea of cringe culture and public shaming for harmless fun' to 'i have to take every post against my interests personally and people should never complain about anything so that they dont hurt my feelings'
