"I don't even- go back to bed doll"

Okay, so I want Buddie to get together before Chris comes home, right? So, they get Chris, spend a few days getting everyone settled back into the swing of things, and then either 1) they don't get a chance to tell him, or 2) they do, and it doesn't go great (which I feel like is something that's going to happen regardless, I need Christopher to be an angsty teen with abandonment issues in 4k)

BUT

Before they can sit down again and figure everything out, they get a call for another wildfire or a crossover or whatever that requires them to leave town for a little bit.

Obviously, Eddie can't go, because he just got Christopher back home and he really doesn't want to leave him again, even temporarily, but Buck has to go because people need help.

Cue Buck & Eddie spending time apart for the first time since they got together, sleeping in different beds hundreds of miles away from the other, and both spiraling a little bit. Eddie because he's worried that Buck is finally getting some time away from him and the mess that he was in Chris' absence and is worried that he doesn't want to keep wading through Eddie's problems,

And Buck because Chris is back now, and what if Eddie doesn't need him anymore? What if he was just a stand-in or a placeholder for Chris, but now his son is back and Eddie is on his own two feet again and what if he doesn't need Buck anymore, and if he doesn't need him, then why would he keep him around?

Extra points if telling Chris doesn't go well so they're trying to figure that out and cell service is spotty and they don't know what the other is thinking because they're so far away and if they were closer, they would just be together and solve the problem, but they're not so they're relying on delayed messages and downed phone lines and a game of phone tag.

And then, obviously, Buck gets home, and they realize they were spiraling over nothing because they've been building a life together for far longer than the few months they've been kissing, and Buck sits and talks with Christopher, and everything is fine.

AND THEN I NEED TIM TO LEAVE THEIR RELATIONSHIP ALONE. No breakups like in a lot of other main couples (Chenford, Booth & Brennan, I'm looking at you guys.) no! None of that! They've suffered enough, give them plot lines without breaking them up.

Give them better arcs with their parents, BRING US EDDIE'S GODDAMN SISTERS and the drama I K N O W is hiding there. Give us Buck focusing on his career (and also maybe slip in an official ADHD diagnosis, what, who said that?) Give us them talking about raising another kid, kill off an obscure family member and a stroll down memory lane (I absolutely do not mean Isabel Diaz, you keep your filthy paws OFF Eddie's abuela, bitches. I love her so so so so much lol).

Give them character arcs that have nothing to do with them possibly breaking up. They deserve storyline's that are more than just about their love interest. Literally, Buck's coming out wasn't even about him, it was all about Tommy and I'm so sick of it. Buck and Eddie are interesting characters! They are M A I N characters, give them better storylines. (Esp Eddie bc genuinely, wtf have you all done to my boy??)

My Headcanons about Vox's Life Before he Died 😊✨️📺

(This man has serious issues, but we all already knew that.)

I kinda started on this idea in this post, but I'm gonna go more into it rn just cause I find this dumbass TV really interesting for some reason.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

○ I guess to recap some of the ideas I made in the last post, Vox was 31 when he died. He would live from 1925-1956 and would be killed in an alleyway when he got really drunk one night (mf was very obviously rich, what did he think was gonna happen to him). He would be one of the main faces on the news before he died since it was the 50s, and he would totally get into the TV business to guarantee himself some good money. He would divorce his only wife before he died and never have any kids of his own. So yeah, he died alone, pretty shitty, but don't worry, it gets worse! :D

○ Vox was an only child to two wealthy parents. He lived in New York his whole life. (Just a literal rich ass city kid.)

○ His real name is Vincent. (It was between Victor and Vincent, and I think Vincent just suits him a lot better.)

○ This guy doesn't only have daddy issues, but mommy issues as well 🎉! His father would constantly belittle him, and his mother would be the biggest cause of many of his problems later on. Neither of them ever made him feel like he was good enough or "accomplished." (That definitely didn't cause any lifelong issues for him.)

○ His parents would constantly fight with each other, and sometimes, the fights would get violent. His mother would wear makeup to hide the bruises or marks her husband gave to her from time to time. Over time, Vox would just get used to the fighting, but when he was a kid, these fights and his father terrified him.

○ His father was an alcoholic (big surprise there), but he was also a businessman. I really like to think about how, despite his best efforts, Vox would turn out to be a lot like his father in a lot of ways. Obviously, the businessman part (maybe that type of work just came naturally to him because of his father), but the biggest thing is when he gets drunk. When he's pissed and drunk, he acts exactly like him. And Vox absolutely despises that.

○ His mother wasn't as bad, but she was still a shitty mom. She rarely praised him for anything or gave him any emotional support. I mean, neither of them did, but Vox respected his mother just a tiny bit more, so her opinion meant just a bit more to him. He always hoped he would be able to at least gain her respect one day, but he never did. She would smoke constantly (though everyone smoked in the 50s, so that's not a big surprise). Vox's childhood home always smelled like smoke. Sometimes, smoke would literally be visible in the air.

○ Both of his parents would contribute to this next thing, but since Vox respected his mother just a tiny bit more, she was the one that affected him the most with this. Whenever any of them messed up or did something wrong, his mother and father would either lie or pay their way out of it. "People will believe anything if you give them a good enough excuse." is something I feel like his mother would say a lot to him as a kid. He was constantly exposed to this all the time as he grew up. (This definitely didn't lead to any sort of long-term habits in the future 😊.)

○ Due to his parents, Vox felt like he always needed to be better or he had to strive for "perfection." His parents also taught him a valuable skill, how to lie and pay your way out of shit. All of this would continue to shine through when he became one of the faces on the news. (I like to imagine his hypnotic ability is a direct parallel to how he could make anyone believe anything he said, even when he wasn't on TV.)

○ Anytime he was in public or on camera, he was always putting on this "perfect" facade, much like his parents did. (He very obviously still does this now. It's basically second nature to him at this point.)

○ He would continue to put on this perfect facade when he began his killings, the main reason he ended up in hell. I doubt he killed many people. The only reason he did so was to get higher up in the business world. Probably to prove to himself or to his parents that he could be successful. (I've personally always seen Vox as the type of killer who kills only when it's absolutely necessary.)

○ People would know there was a killer in New York, but no one would ever find out it was him. At least not during his lifetime.

○ He never talked to his parents again after he moved out. Maybe they called each other sometimes, but that would he very rare. Even though Vox never saw his parents again, they obviously still affected him.

○ The only reason Vox would get married was cause he felt like it was something he needed to do, either because of the time or something else. I'm sure he felt some love for his wife at the beginning of their marriage, but it still quickly turned sour. They would stay married for a few years until they eventually broke things off. Vox didn't need a shitty marriage to add to all the ever-evolving things he had on his mind. (And he didn't kill his wife. Like I said, the only reason he killed anyone was to move himself higher up in his line of business.)

○ Vox would barely get close to anyone, even his former wife. He just didn't have time for it because of his job and- well- the murders he sometimes committed. His parents also made him never want to tie himself down and start a family (for obvious reasons).

○ This man was definitely against the idea of having kids when he was alive and probably continues to be. It's not that he doesn't like the idea itself of having kids (though he has grown to not like them over the years). It's mostly because of his parents and how much he cares about his work. Even though he doesn't want to, he knows deep down that there is a chance he could be just like his parents. And he knows he could neglect his kid by working too much. He doesn't want to put any kid through that. Even though he probably finds kids annoying, especially currently, I don't think he'd purposefully hurt one. He's not that much of a shithead.

○ Vox began drinking a lot in his late 20s (big surprise there), which would eventually lead to his death. He had a fairly well sized funeral, and I'm sure his parents came, but I doubt they cared all that much. No one knew he was a killer by the time of his death.

○ His happiest moments were when he was a kid. He didn't understand what was happening around him yet. It was the most peaceful part of his life. (Yeah.)
