Year end reflection ahead

The bad:

I lost 2 of my uncles

My grandmother's health has tanked

I hit some serious lows emotionally

I've developed an impulse spending habit that I can't seem to kick

LGBTQ rights are disappearing left and right

Women lost abortion rights

Some of my favorite students transfered to other schools

Teaching is harder than ever

This is an incredibly difficult year for everyone financially

I have no hope that anything in terms of quality of life or the environment will ever get better; quite the opposite.

The good:

I've grown and gained confidence as an artist

I've discovered new coping mechanisms that help, along with new meds

I've become more open with those around me about who and what I am

I got a new principal who is much better for the school

I got to attend so many drag shows and live concerts of artists I've dreamed of seeing live and even met one of my artistic idols

My pets have been healthy all year

I have great students

I've received lots of school and district recognition for my hard work

I got my fallopian tubes removed!

I spent lots of time with family friends

I went on solo adventures in new places

I started an artistic partnership that is pushing my abilities

I learned basic paleontology and got to share it with my students

I made the first step to official autism diagnosis

At first he thought the concept was a bit weird like alot of human things. You just... put your lips on someone else's...and hold it there????
