I know people have already talked about Von Steuben's letters and this might just be a personal thing but I don't think you all understand just how sickening, how gut-wrenching, how tear bringing, how absolutely depressing they are because oh my god oh my god how I wish I could have helped that god damn old decaying man because no one else did and nobody was there and his gaggle of 20yro boyfriends practically abandoned him and his last year was without his dog so he was left with nothing ABSOLUTELY nothing worth anything in his life, and he was desperate for company and desperate for all his friends to reach out to him, yet when Hamilton finally did, he denied?? All his post-war letters basically either say "oh North how can you even love me I'm horrible...do you even love me?" OR "hey old buddy I'm financially struggling can I pls get some money to feed my family of 14 who visit sometimes" like???? OMFG this man. I am crying. I will fight for this man. And I would say "why didn't anyone just reach out and help him" but like Hamilton tried but I'm still absolutely depressed for him I love him so much I wish he was doing okay because I can't mentally bare him being sad even though he died like 200 years ago and I swear I was actually gonna ramble about important stuff but I'm rereading this post and it actually looks really stupid and I don't know what point I was trying to make in the first place okay bye

my favourite thing about ume is his everything 🥲

but also the love he pours out from the bottom of his heart, how he so willingly accepts people into his circle and is so caring and kind to them. i love how he tries to make everyone feel happy and loved, and that they all try to give back to him. he seems like a nurturer, but i'm just also so happy to see him accept love as well. certain manga panels of his kindness have brought tears to my eyes, actually. and more than once did his words convince me to be kinder to myself and take care of myself the way i take care of others. he's a very comforting character

i also fkn love feral ume and the way he knocks chika into the ground. i wish he'd slam me into the ground. the blood running down his face, and the crazy eyes, and his unkempt hair and the rage. yarrr he could show me the dark side every night and i'd say thank you very much, i love you, haji! 🤟🏻

WAIT SHIT DAMN I FORGOT ENDO I WAS CAUGHT UP IN UME SKFJSKSO my favourite thing about endo is his complexity and his devotion. i think that's because of some mental issues but i really fkn love men that are utterly devoted to something/someone. bro the yearning, the panels with him kneeling in front of chika art. i never wanted to be a manga character as badly as i wanted to be chika 🧍🏻‍♀️endo is a character that resembles me partially, but also is so different from me. he really fascinates me. he's my favourite character to write for simply because of how complex he can be, but also so simple... endo is amazing. my favourite thing is his hair it's so pretty and bouncy
