I have lost count of the number of times I've asked a user to restart the PC and they just turn the monitor off and on again. There's a reason rule 1 is "users lie."
M: "have you restarted?"
U: "yes, 3 times"
M: Remotes in. Uptime of 93 days, 15 pending updates. "I think I know why your PC is slow..."
In fairness to the users tho, shutting down in windows 10 doesn't actually shut down, it just hibernates. You continue to accumulate uptime. You actually have to go to start > power > restart.
