guardians ages?
I have been a bit curious (and in desperate need of some fun facts about these characters) so have some canonical info about these characters ages and the frustrating inconsistencies in some of them (oh inconsistent lore, how I loathe you)
Sophie Bennett - she is 2 years old (rotg script and rotg movie novelization
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jamie Bennett - he is both 8 and 10 years old (the art of rotg and worlds of wonder)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jack Frost - he is 14, 17, and 18 (and in the books, he can manipulate his age from 11 to 18) (William Joyce, Peter Ramsey, the rotg app, worlds of wonder, guide to the guardians, McDonalds profile card, book five of the Goc series, and William Joyce again)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Katherine - she grows up to be 25, and can manipulate her age from 12 to 25 (book five of the Goc series) she’s also dating Jack (which makes the scene of them arguing and him getting younger and her getting older just. So weird. Why, Joyce, why?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sandy - he is the oldest and wisest of the guardians (worlds of wonder, McDonald’s profile card, the art of rotg, and guide to the guardians)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
North - in the goc books, he doesn’t know his age (book one in the goc series)
Tumblr media
Tooth - younger than the wind but as old as the mountains and her implied age to be closer to whatever Jack is supposed to be (the rotg app, art of rise of the guardians, and the rotg script)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Video description: a clip of the Filmmaker’s commentary. Peter Ramsey is talking over a clip of the movie when the Guardians collect teeth and Jack and Tooth interact. Peter Ramsey is saying ‘Jack and Tooth have a little semi flirtation, Guillermo Del Toro was always like, ‘come on, we got to give them a love story! Jack’s got to be a heartthrob, I urge you!’ End description)

Welcome!
This is your official-unofficial source for all things SVSSS fanon-debunking! As a veteran reader of MXTX's least popular novel and someone with a PhD in SVSSS literature, I have taken on the arduous task of separating fact from fiction... or well, specifically, canon from fanon.
《 Disclaimer: The purpose of this blog is textual analysis, not to tell people what fanon or canon material to use or not to use in their fanworks, or to make moral judgments on the way people interpret the text. Please see my faq and psa tags for more about my views on the matter. 》
There is a significant affliction within this fandom, where fanon ideas are assumed to be canonical facts-- to the point where sometimes fanon will even end up on the official SVSSS wiki 😱😱😱!!!
I've met quite a lot of people who are surprised to find out that something they think is canon is actually fanon, and even a few that are the other way around, so I've decided to start this blog to help people sort it out!
My credentials and qualifications are as follows:
PhD in SVSSS literature (awarded to me by a disgruntled SJ apologist).
A good minimum of 50-75% of available brain-space devoted to SVSSS at all times
Consummate knowledge of minute lore details
Near-memorization of a good portion of the novel, with the added ability to find any quote within 10 minutes of searching (in both EN and CN)
Author of a fic that is currently over 300k words long and counting, which was originally written out of spite for fanon portrayals of certain characters and themes
The ability to write 5k+ rants about any given topic in the space of an afternoon
--------------------
How this blog works:
You, dear reader, send in a suspected fanon topic to my askbox. Or perhaps it's something you suspect to be canon, but would like confirmation on.
I will then write a post on this topic (on no set schedule, I go as the wind takes me~), first applying a rating (more details below), then adding further information as needed. Topics with either support or rebuttal in canon will have quoted evidence presented, those without either of those things will simply have a brief explanation.
I will also add some analysis or potential interpretations and readings but I will do my best not to add my pure opinions to these posts-- this blog is about textual evidence! So, do not reblog my posts to argue with me based on your headcanons! If you want to argue against one of my posts, provide a quoted source from the novel!
Otherwise, I will most likely block you :>
Any hateful content or attempts to start fandom wank on my posts or in my inbox will get deleted and blocked. Anyone who provides textual evidence that changes my rating or analysis will be very much appreciated and receive the Golden Cucumber Award.
At the end of the day, this blog is entirely about canonical textual analysis and has no bearing whatsoever on what people want to headcanon or use in their fics. It's fandom. Do Whatever You Want Forever. Who am I to say you can't use a certain headcanon?
Just please treat headcanons as headcanons. No matter how deeply-entrenched into fanon they may be, they're still not canon and shouldn't be treated as such.
If you're of the mind that you'll still do whatever you want without regards for canon, then you're probably not the intended audience for this blog. If you're someone who wants to clarify whether a popular idea has a basis in canon or not, then read on to learn more about the rating system and see already-discussed topics!
--------------------
Rating System
WHAT DO I CONSIDER CANON? (please read before commenting)
Each exposed fanon or canon will receive a rating and analysis. The ratings are interpreted as follows:
CANON - This fact is directly or indirectly supported by the text! If you want to stay true to canon, this should be treated as fact.
FANON - SUPPORTED - Though the text doesn't directly state this is true, it is a very likely interpretation based on various factors including historical precedent and cultural norms, genre tropes, and the occam's razor principle.
FANON - NEUTRAL - The text neither confirms or denies this. It may be true or it may be false, and the matter is entirely up for interpretation. Many fanon will likely fall into this category, and whether you adopt it or not won't affect how true to canon your interpretations are.
FANON - UNSUPPORTED - While the text may not be directly against this headcanon, it is still an unlikely interpretation based on various factors including historical precedent and cultural norms, genre tropes, and the occam's razor principle.
FANON - CONFLICTING - The text goes directly against this interpretation, and there are quotes that prove it to be incorrect. If you wish to stay true to canon, it's best not to include this idea.
--------------------
Awards:
I will give out three awards on this blog for those who assist me in keeping fanon and canon separate!
The Bronze Cucumber Award will be given to anyone who reblogs my post and adds significant additional context in support of/explaining my analysis. This may be textual context or "support" context (cultural norms/historical precedence/genre tropes/etc.). Since this fandom likes to analyze, I will only be giving out this award to those who specifically add details and ideas that are not rooted in my original analysis (such as, a quote from a completely different part of the book, or a linguistic explanation that provides context), rather than those who simply expand on what I already wrote.
The Silver Cucumber Award will be given to those who reblog one of my analysis posts with a source telling the origin of a particular fanon idea. This is wonderful for archival purposes-- just as it's good to see where canon ideas come from, it can also be helpful to know where a fanon idea originated, in order to have proper context. Only the first responder to provide a fanon origin will receive the award (so that this blog doesn't get too clogged up).
The Golden Cucumber Award will be given to those who reblog one of my posts with a debunking of my analysis-- as long as they provide directly-quoted evidence that disproves my points. This evidence should be based on the text of the novel itself, and I should be able to look it up in my own copy. I will be more selective with giving out golden cucumbers to reblogs that debunk on the basis of "support" elements (cultural norms/historical precedence/genre tropes, etc.) because many of those topics can be somewhat subjective.

In 2022 I wrote an op-ed for NBC News Think about leg hair, of all things. The piece detailed a monthlong experiment during which I stopped shaving. Aside from one paragraph about bodily autonomy and Roe v. Wade, I thought it was a mild article. Boring, even.
The internet disagreed. Within an hour of publication, I started getting angry, all-caps emails. Then it started on Twitter. I was called everything from stupid and self-absorbed to a Sasquatch. I was accused of hating men and pressuring women.
The deluge lasted nearly two weeks. By the end of it, I had dozens of nasty emails, nearly a thousand social media notifications, and zero idea how to handle what I’d experienced.
Unfortunately, these instances of online harassment are becoming more common. In 2021, the Pew Research Center reported that 41 percent of US adults had experienced online harassment; the Anti-Defamation League reported an increase to 52 percent in 2023. Public and semipublic figures are especially at risk, as noted by recent studies on American journalists, Zimbabwean journalists, and female members of parliament in Sweden.
But the truth is, on social media anyone with an account can experience harassment. Here’s what to do if it happens to you.
Document Everything
Knee-deep in hate mail, I reached out to a former thesis adviser who’d written op-eds. How had he handled the trolls?
His reply: Document everything. If you have to report the harassment to a social platform or to law enforcement, you will need a body of evidence that proves the harassment.
Save the nasty emails in a special folder, either manually or by using keywords to filter and route all of the relevant mail automatically.
On social media, screenshot what people say. Doing this gives you lasting digital proof, which is important if the trolling comments disappear later on, either because the trolls deleted them or because someone reported the comments, which led to them being removed. Save all of these screenshots in a folder that can easily be shared with anyone investigating your harassment.
Documenting harassment is common advice, featured in resources ranging from writing-specific organizations like PEN America to wider organizations like the University of Chicago and the National Network to End Domestic Violence.
Don’t Respond
Another common piece of advice is “don’t feed the trolls.” In theory, if you don’t react to harassment, the trolls get bored and leave. Some have argued that this advice has failed us, as it puts the onus on the victim to stop the cyberbullying; it suggests that it’s not the trolls who need to stop but rather the victim who needs to turn the other cheek.
This is a fair critique; social media platforms should build better moderation systems and restrict users who breach standards on harassment. Ideally, events like the 2024 child safety hearing before US Congress will lead to changes that make the internet safer for everyone. In a perfect world, the onus is on Big Tech.
But internet safety is a work in progress, and in the meantime it’s on us to decide how we want to respond. Many of the accounts spamming me were obvious trolls. They had incendiary usernames and profile pictures. Looking at their comments, which were antagonistic at best, I knew I wouldn’t change their minds by responding. Nothing I could write would make them consider my point of view.
So I followed the American Psychological Association’s advice and let the storm pass. I logged off social media and routed the nasty emails into a special folder, out of sight. I spent my energy on things I enjoyed instead, no trolls involved.
Or Maybe Do Respond
Walking away isn’t the best option for everyone. If you choose to respond, there are both indirect and direct ways to address harassment. The former could include muting threads or blocking accounts. You could also report comments or users for behaviors that breach community standards, such as hate speech, threats, and bullying (which most platforms claim to prohibit). These options may prevent the same trolls from harassing you, or another user, in the future.
If you feel safe and want to respond directly, consider counterspeech, a strategy that addresses and undermines hate by redirecting the conversation in a constructive way. Some choose to reclaim hashtags, such as the K-pop stans who in 2020 flooded the #WhiteLivesMatter hashtag with K-pop videos.
Others create larger discussions around hateful posts, typically focusing not on the troll but on the content of their argument (so, not “You’re sexist” but “Saying XYZ is problematic because …”). This is exactly what I did, some six months after my experience, when I wrote about hate mail for HuffPost, focusing on sexism and the importance of dismantling it. Reframing the conversation helped me feel less powerless.
Though organizations like the United Nations recommend counterspeech, some research has suggested that it may be ineffective: While a 2021 study on anti-Asian hate found that counterspeech discouraged hate, another study on racism and homophobia saw mixed results.
Do Something You Enjoy
Whether or not you respond, give yourself time to work through your feelings. Do something you enjoy, like going to the gym, meditating, or playing your favorite video game. Anything goes!
Social support, in particular, is important for processing your experiences. This is because one of the goals of online harassment is to make you feel isolated; intentionally enjoying time with loved ones can combat this. An older 2014 study noted that social support can come from anyone in your life, ranging from your peers to your family. More recently, a 2020 study listed the myriad benefits of social support for those experiencing bullying, including increased confidence and decreased anxiety.
So text your friends and coworkers. Make dinner plans with family. Rant to your partner—or ask for a distraction. Any and all of these can help you feel less alone. You can also seek professional advice via a therapist or a cyberbullying hotline.
If you decide to take an extended break from the internet, ask a friend you trust to keep an eye on your social accounts. They can continue to take screenshots of new harassment and notify you if the frequency of incidents increases.
If the Harassment Escalates
If rude comments turn into stalking, hacking, doxing, or death threats, it’s time to contact the authorities and get legal assistance. Continue to document everything; you’ll want a body of proof to ensure you’re taken seriously. If you’re in immediate danger, call emergency services.
Practicing good cyber hygiene can help you protect your information. To deter hackers, use strong passwords, which are longer than 16 characters and include numbers and special characters. Don’t reuse passwords, and set up multifactor authentication to ensure that you’re notified if someone tries to log in to your account.
To deter doxing, stalking, and further harassment, adjust your privacy settings on social media. If possible, set your accounts to private until the storm passes. Also, depending on the platform, you should be able to limit the ability to reply to your posts so that only people you follow can republish your posts or leave comments. You can also just disallow comments entirely. If you have both professional and personal accounts, keep them separate so that work-related harassment is less likely to follow you home.
You may want to limit who can see your location data on social media, since many platforms tag every post with geolocation data unless you opt out. This is usually something you can turn off in your profiles’ privacy settings. Additionally, browser extensions like Privacy Party can help you keep your privacy settings on social media up to date automatically, so you don't have to think about it.
If things get so bad that you feel it's safest to minimize or erase your digital footprint, paid services like Delete Me can remove identifying information like your address, phone number, and social media activity from hundreds of online databases and data brokers. This makes it much harder for people to uncover this information in web searches. Services like Tweet Delete can automatically delete years worth of social media posts, replies, and likes—either wholesale or within a specific range—from your accounts.
Online harassment can be isolating and terrifying, but with a plan, you’ll be prepared to respond—and to mitigate its impacts on your life.

Seeing the numbers compared, I realized that you are right, anon. It's a privilege to be able to write long fics, regardless of them thinking they're unable to write short fics because short fics are mostly scenes so it's not that long fic writers are incapable of writing short stories, deep down, they don't want to. Maybe it feels wrong for them since they've made an impression they always write long fics, maybe they find short fics less impressive, or believe that people won't give the same feedback as when they post something longer.
But I would like to argue that longer doesn't mean it has a plot. I've read 80k words of a character getting tortured with no chance of figuring things out or getting out of that situation and ended quite the same as the start. I've read 25k fic of characters just hogging. These fics have no stakes, no crisis, no buildup, no development, nothing just series of the same scene over and over with different sets or different positions.
Fanfic is free and that is why you encounter things that are, in a way, out of the box and technically are not allowed in the publishing world. But that's the beauty of it. Is it really that big of a gap for people who can write long fics vs people who can only write short fics? Because of how free fanfiction is, most things are okay to do, including only being able to write plotless or short.
One reason why I get jealous of other authors who manage to write longer fics than me is because I was too busy at the time. I found a good system for myself (dedicating a certain time to finish a chapter and then uploading them as I edit and so on) and you can build your own. I think with the right system, anyone can do it.
Pantsers, plotters, and hybrids are equal to me and it's true because how do you know that a person didn't just recycle the same plot they use from their previous fics, thus being able to write different versions of that story? We've seen the viral meme abt fic writers recycling the same thing and a lot of people admit to doing it. Does this mean they're mediocre or bad writers? It's not like that's against the TOS or illegal. Nobody paid us to keep making fresh new ground-breaking stories. The quality of a fanfic is decided from how you treat it. Do you still like it even after five years? Do you think about it sometimes? Do you feel so ashamed you'd rather put it in an anon collection or close your acc completely and orphan it? Do you wish for it gone to the point you delete every trace of it?
It's not from the amount of kudos, hits, or comments, tho yes it is easier to find good ones if you filter by kudos but there are lots of underrated ones and I've DNF a lot of fics that are not to my liking but have high-kudos because people keep rec-ing it. I want underrated fics to be more popular but not because it needs to be popular but because I hope to be in a community with more like-minded people. Fanfic has no publisher, we can't earn from it so traffic is merely informative so it's the community that matters the most.
In fact, to tell you the truth, after 17 years of being in ao3, I've curated my tag very specifically and stopped using the fandom tag and went straight to the ship tag. I also mostly rely on bookmarks, private collections, word from mouth of people I trust or believe to have the same writing style and taste as me. So it was very niche and limited.
Lots of stories have plots but not all must be in your favor so you gotta figure what you like to start. Are you team canon divergence or AU? what trope do you like? Telling someone to stop comparing is ineffective. We always compare because that's how we communicate. But people feel inferior because they don't feel worthy of themselves. If you start to know what you want, it's easier for you to write more. Whether you're still stuck on making 1k-2k, etc, at least you don't waste your time feeling sad or down and you keep writing. That'll help stimulate your brain and you will improve.
(Also maybe just don't listen to authors who you think are humblebragging. Mute or block them if you need to because I know, to some people who are in the same fandom, these types of attitude have more context to it. Idk abt anon, but in some cases maybe they were moots or the account was owned by another fan they've encountered on tumblr or other social media often, a BNF maybe, or just a popular author that other fans praise or talk about often, and things could get personal. Shit can go south quickly in the community tbh)

I have an Usopp problem 😵‍💫
Tumblr media
***Break over
I’m seriously not sure if it’s because of the algorithm, or Oda’s 3 week break and fans are bored and suffering because of it, but it seems like Usopp has become more of (???) a person of interest in the fandom, very recently—for the wrong reasons. Maybe it’s because of my hyper-fixation on Usopp’s journey…I admit. Can’t even cross it out.
Tumblr media
…So, maybe it is JUST me.
Maybe that’s why it seems like he’s a person of interest even more nowadays.
I am avoiding Reddit and Worstgen, but YouTube is testing my resolve. I use YouTube for other things besides One Piece analysis vids and whatnot.
Tamir’s Verse do post pro-Usopp videos, but even those bring forward slander in the comments that’s hard to look past, personally. There’s a video about how and WHY Usopp is the most disliked Strawhat! 🤯 I can’t watch Tamir’s Verse videos and shorts at all anymore.
And then there was a poll of “Who’s the Most Disliked Strawhat?” on my YouTube feed. Usopp had the second to the most votes. If “Other” hadn’t been an option/choice, he would have won. If the algorithm is gonna play mind games, can they give me the positive Usopp videos? Please?
Tumblr media
This isn’t meant to be a rant at all.
But having to read that Usopp is “The Butt” of the Strawhats is kinda sh**ty. (This was in response to when I posted a comment in one of the vids. I said that Usopp was a nuanced and brave character).
But have no fear, I will forever argue against the harsh criticism. The harsh criticism and arguing won’t matter in a year. I know this. There’s the real world outside. I have to talk to someone about this…I know 😔.
The YouTube algorithm is playing mind games.
I won’t look at the comments I won’t look at the comments I won’t look at the commets I won’t look at the comm–
I won’t post a comment I won’t post a comment I won’t post a comment I won’t post a comment I won’t post a comm-
No more arguing no more arguing no more arguing no more arguing no more arguing no more arguing no more arg–
Let Oda cook let Oda cook let Oda cook let Oda cook let Oda cook let Oda cook let Oda cook let Oda cook let Oda coo–
Conclusively, I’m gonna go do some soul searching. I have an exam this week, and I’m experiencing writer’s block (currently writing a one-shot, writing Act 2 of an ongoing Usopp-centric fic)…and..
Tumblr media
So, I’ll go and touch grass.
And I’m gonna give myself the hard challenge of not talking about Usopp for 1 week. You know what? Let’s give myself a bigger challenge. I won’t talk about Usopp for 2 weeks. But if that means not talking about Usopp, I’ll need to stop watching One Piece for 2 weeks, and writing fanfiction (even just updating the drafts) for 2 weeks... I’ll need to stay off YouTube, Reddit, and TUMBLR for 2 weeks... I’ll need to stay off Ao3 for 2 weeks…
Tumblr media
I’ll have to clear my cache and delete all my tabs. I’ll have to avoid my email (I’ll unsubscribe from the YouTube messages I receive). I’ll reply to the last of my notifications…then…
2 weeks. 2 weeks. I’ll give it 2 weeks…
I can do this. Right? Right? I’m writing this to instill some discipline in me. I want to find a way to approach things differently, and not argue endlessly about nonsensical comments…I want to feel what it’s like to not participate.
Then I’ll come back to the fandom and be a little bit more positive and well rested. And I’ll contribute to all the nice things.
Note to self. I got this…if anyone is reading this. Thank you for your time ❤️
My break starts now!

Stay true!

A Snater on tiktok blocked me and I don't know the reason
It's not my habit to insist on certain cases, but this one is truly so ridiculous that it deserves its own post, in the hope that others can avoid having the same experience.
Some of you may know, the other day I got into an argument on tiktok post with some Snaters. It's a discussion that was reactivated after months in which I thought it had been closed, then a user replied to me and then we started writing again under the video of a tiktoker. This morning I woke up and saw that this tiktoker whose profile belongs to has blocked me. I ended yesterday's conversation like this
Tumblr media
Now please tell me if I was rude? Does it seem normal to you that after this the person blocked me?
Obviously in this way all the conversations I had in her comments no longer appear, so even my arguments with canonical facts are censored. Basically you either agree with her or you get blocked and your comments deleted. I then asked a friend to ask for explanations with her profile, for clarity I'll leave you the exact comments.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you know what she replied?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And once again she never responded and blocked this other person too. Now let's clarify one thing, the blocking function on social media is very right, there are cases in which someone's sanity is really at stake, cases in which certain people pester us or insult others and then the only thing to do is block.
But this is not the case, I never insult, I try to be polite and respect everyone, I limit myself to reporting canonical facts, then everyone can obviously remain of their own opinion and continue their life peacefully. But blocking someone without giving them answers, without explanations and thus censoring months-long conversations is immature and unfair behavior.
Anyone who does this should have the courage to let it be known. Do you want to talk and let only those who agree with you talk? Don't you accept polite criticism with canonical evidence? Then don't allow comments. These people who do not accept comparison convince themselves that they are right despite all the evidence to the contrary and what is worse, they use the same overbearing attitude in various contexts.
As I always say, it's obvious that we're talking about invented stories and characters when we "discuss" fandom. But the themes are real and so are the attitudes.
I'm really sorry that it ended like this because the tiktoker often brings up interesting topics, and even if sometimes I don't agree with her she helps me understand how she thinks. It's a shame we can't have a mature dialogue, I thought you were much better than this @nothingeverlost
(Obviously I imagine that instead of responding here she will simply block me on this platform too, at least now I won't be surprised)
SMALL UPDATE
She reposted my friend's (alpha_magician reply) after she blocked they, so they can't see the video or defend themself anymore. She accused alpha of being disrespectful and says that she blocks whoever she wants and that no one should complain about it.
So let me understand clearly, first you flood people with comments without answering the questions, then not knowing how to argue you say you're tired and blocking people (thus deleting all their comments) and then you republish their comments on your page without letting them see the video or defend themselves. Furthermore, accusing them of being the ones not showing respect. Saying clearly: If you don't agree with me I'll block you and if I do it you have to shut up and not complain, otherwise you're being disrespectful.
The world is turning upside down.

So I have different theories.I could be fully wrong or delusional or any other words people call anons here you can share your opinion (please don't be too mean hahaha) but this is just me rambling about things
Around Christmas everyone saw that only Alexandra was not present Charlotte and even Jade (she probably started dating Arthur few months ago) were present. Charles pr team keeps track of everything (it's normal for every driver/celebrity) and even Alex does we know that. So they saw all the rumours of Alex not present meaning they broke up or it's not serious and you know how he acts cold with her all the time and he's never open with her.
Now Charles went to Lisbon on 31st I'm surprised he was not seen at any airport when usually he is captured by someone at airports at least. They celebrated their NYE in a populated area (this was said by a Portuguese fan but it was anonymous so I'm not fully sure) but he was drunk we can see his post has a different outfit it's hard for me to believe no one caught him in lisbon. Last year he took pictures with fans in London inside the club.
I'm not complaining about the privacy or hiding because let's be honest that man deserves some peace and quiet after a stressful season and also because he always makes time for his fans.
The next day he goes to a store and one story out suddenly he's captured by fans all around. Only one wag page received pictures even those were posted on a close friends story and that wag page usually deletes all Alex hate comments, they close the comments and post most of her content only.
Now first pictures come out with Marta and Nico but there's no sign of Alex. People speculate she's not there boom there's another picture that looks like they are arguing. Twitter filled with rumours like they broke up he cheated they are having problems next comes out another blurry picture of them holding hands. What I'm trying to say here is maybe some things are random but it's not a unusual that agencies hire fans or accounts to spread certain things as damage control. (Damage control for her absence during Christmas)
Now we have seen Charles taking pictures with a lot of fans on the same day even in streets so he was not against taking pictures it seems. Tbe twitter user who met Charles on 2nd said he wasn't keen on taking pictures because he was with his girlfriend. But what made them think that? Their next comment is no they were both very polite and nice to talk to but their initial comment implied they were hesitant? So what happened? And they were not even Charles fan but they said they recognised Alex and believed it was really Charles next to him (sounds unbelievable for f1twt if anyone here has experience with those accounts on twitter you would know)
Next day he's in Monaco in a very populated area taking pictures going around with Alex when it was said that he was not found doing casual things he did with Charlotte when they were dating.
Just to sum up what I'm trying to say is what we see from celebrities is not always real or authentic. They micromanage everything at least their teams do. But there are a lot of inconsistencies in their rs.
Bestie, I saw more delusional and crazy opinions than yours. I think your questions (cause I see more like that) are interesting.

It's ironic, isn't it? That I fell for you, a YouTube star, of all people. I hate being on camera. I don't even take selfies, like most people my age do. It's not even that I'm particularly insecure about my looks, I just... don't want any attention.
You have millions of followers on social media, and you post pictures and videos of yourself for all the world to see, every day. So many people react to them, telling you how attractive you are, and I always wonder how that makes you feel. It would mortify me.
We're sitting in the car, and I'm in the passenger's seat next to you. Your brothers are in the back seat, and your right arm is around my shoulders while you steer with your left hand.
"Say 'hi' to the camera!" Chris says, pointing his phone at us.
"Chris, get that thing out of her face!" you say, reaching back and knocking the phone out of his hand.
"Whoa, calm down!" Chris says, getting visibly upset. "I wasn't gonna post it, you know that. I was just gonna text it to you and then delete it."
You roll your eyes and shake your head. "You know she doesn't like that shit," you mutter.
"Yeah, well I don't see why it's such a big deal anyway," Chris says in an exaggerated tone of voice.
Nick chimes in. "Chris, you need to take it down a notch," he tells him. "Be respectful of her. If she doesn't want to be on-camera, then she doesn't have to. Period."
"I wasn't gonna post it!" Chris reiterates, annoyed at the insinuated accusation.
You sigh, not wanting your brothers to argue with each other. I know how much it stresses you out whenever they do. "Just stop," you tell them.
Luckily, they listen to you this time.
Your next YouTube video is a car video. I won't be joining you - I never do - so I always have to wait until the video gets posted in order to know what you guys filmed together. It doesn't bother me, because I know it's an integral part of your career.
While you go out to film, I'm by myself inside of the house. I scroll through endless comments on social media of people trying to speculate who I am, exactly. They only know that I'm your girlfriend, since you came out in a video explaining that you're now in a relationship; but people are getting curious, suspicious, and downright invasive, honestly.
When you come back from filming, you give me a big hug. "How are you doing?" you ask me.
"I'm fine, you guys weren't even gone for that long," I smile at you.
You kiss my forehead. "Good," you tell me. "I hope I did you proud in this next video."
I raise my eyebrow. "What does that mean?" I ask you.
"I'll let you look at it once Nick edits it," you say. "Before we post it, I promise. I want you to approve before anyone else sees it."
I won't lie, I'm kind of nervous about it. I already had a terrible experience with an ex who tried to doxx me, and even sent my nudes out to people. You know this, and you're the only one who does. I don't know if you told your brothers, but I trust you enough to do the right thing.
The next day, Nick sits me down in his room at his computer. "Okay," he says to me in a gentle voice. "I'm going to show this to you, and I want you to be 100% honest with me. If there is anything you want me to take out of this video, just say the word, and I will. Got it?"
I nod, unable to speak. My heart is in my throat. I just want to get this over with.
Nick presses the play button.
"Okay," I watch you say on the screen. "I'm going to start this video off with a very important topic, because I feel like this needs to be said." Your eyes are very serious, and I feel like I already know what you're going to say. "You guys... we love you. You're our fans, and we appreciate you, but... you guys need to back off and give us privacy when we say to."
My eyes widen. I am stunned. I very rarely see you this seriously passionate about anything.
"My girlfriend is a real person, with real feelings," you continue. "She has her reasons for wanting to stay private, and you guys have to respect that. I don't wanna see any of this, 'Oh, I think this is her!' or, 'Oh, she's in this picture!' like, just stop. It's beyond irritating."
Nick is nodding his head in the back seat, agreeing with what you're saying.
Chris looks like he's about to interrupt you, but you hold out a hand to stop him from speaking, while keeping eye contact with the camera.
"And, for the record, she doesn't owe you an explanation," you say. "If and when she is ready to come on camera, then she will. If and when she is ready to talk about her experiences, then she will.
"You guys get a lot of content from us, and we try not to hide too much from you, because you are the reason we're famous. But my girlfriend doesn't want to be famous. And that's her choice. So I'm not asking you anymore, I'm telling you: back off.
"Okay, I've said my piece," you say, turning to Chris.
Nick pauses the video. "That's all he said about you," he assures me. "After that, we changed the subject. Is this okay to post?"
I can't stop the tears from falling down my face. "I'm sorry," I sob quietly into my hands.
"What!? Sweetie, no," Nick says, rubbing my shoulder comfortingly. "Listen, Matt told me what happened. And that is absolutely not your fault. Okay? We don't want to victimize you again. That's not what we're about. We'll always stick up for you."
"What about Chris?" I ask Nick, sniffling. "Does he know?"
Nick shakes his head at me. "Matt hasn't told him, yet. He didn't know if you wanted him to know."
I take a deep breath to try and calm myself. "Well, maybe he should know, too," I concede.
"Do you want to tell him, or do you want me to, or Matt to?" he asks me.
"I think... I think I want you guys to help me tell him," I answer, wiping away my tears.
"Okay," Nick says. "I'll go get Matt and Chris."
I wait for you all to come back, and the tears flood down my cheeks once more.
You are the first to return, and you immediately hold me in your arms. "Hey, shhh," you shush me, stroking my hair comfortingly. "It's going to be okay."
I nod against your chest. "Thank you for sticking up for me," I say.
"I always will," you tell me. "Always. No matter what."

Oh goody, anon hate.
Tumblr media
So, if you send these kinds of messages dumping your bad fandom take and don’t even sign your own name, it’s clear you’re not looking to give any feedback to a writer. This is selfish and doesn’t deserve my attention. It’s deleted from AO3, so I hope you enjoyed shouting into the void.
But I’ve got a few moments, so let me tear this comment apart bit by bit.
The absolute delusion of [A young Nara complimenting Sakura].
So, context matters. This is a flash from the future, somewhere 10-20 years after canon wrapped up. A lot can happen in that time. It is being said by an Academy student, who has limited information, in response to a Hyuuga student thrashing Sakura and needing to make sure that the Hyuuga shuts up and gives Sakura some respect before she starts thrashing the entire room.
It is also a literary device called foreshadowing. Because until then Sakura in present time has been relatively weak compared to her teammates, and at the end of the chapter she gets a massive power boost (Mokuton) that would let her rival and surpass Naruto/Sakura. This boasting from the Nara is supposed to mystify and intrigue.
In no alternate universe whatsoever could Sakura EVER be considered the strongest of her team. I can’t believe anyone could say that without laughing.
I pity your lack of imagination.
Sasuke with Perfect Susanoo alone is impenetrable. We’ve seen what happens when Tsunade at full strength tried to break it. It took her AND the Raikage to make any progress at it.
Sakura in canon needed about two years to get to Tsunade’s level, and did it without a tailed beast or bloodline helping her. Is it so hard to believe that she could be stronger than Tsunade and the Raikage combined if she had another 10-20 years?
Sasuke has Amaterasu. Good luck healing from her torso being covered in that fire. She’d have to start removing flesh but if he covered her with enough flames, there’s no healing from that.
Okay. So? If Sasuke killed her with a kunai, she would not be able to heal herself from death either. You’re making the assumption that Sasuke can land his attack on her. That she is unable to shield herself. That she would even let Sasuke get as far as using that attack on her. At least Sakura can heal herself. If Sasuke gets hit, he’ll have to deal with the damage. In a battle of endurance, Sakura actually has more chance.
Do you really think Sakura could beat 6 Paths Naruto?
Depending on the setting, easily. Naruto is weak to genjutsu. Boom. Threat neutralised.
There is a limit to what Sakura can do with her small chakra reserves. Even with the best control and techniques in the world.
So she gets bigger chakra reserves. Problem solved. Why do you keep arguing about the state of canon compared to what we’ve chosen to do in a fanfic? Is there no part of you that can imagine maybe, just maybe, some people would like to see Sakura as a strong ninja and will make whatever changes are needed from canon to get that result?
Just pretend she could get even close to high reserves. Do you really think Sakura could pose a threat to a village with a widespread attack? Sasuke and [Naruto] can destroy cities in a single attack. Sakura has nothing.
This is a nice pivot that I’d like to point to. Until now most arguments have been about whether Sakura would be able to defeat Naruto and Sasuke in battle. And they’re largely irrelevant because the three of them are fighting together against enemies. It’s hard in general to look at the three of them separately (in my fanfic) because of how much they work together.
Their strength would in fact be measured in how destructive they could be against enemies. Naruto can manifest a Kyuubi mode, make copies of himself and be a real force to be reckoned with. Sasuke can deal massive natural disasters. But Sakura? She can use her mokuton to create custom flowers that blow poisoned pollen into the air. Mokuton, in this version of fandom, is basically free to use because creating life generates more chakra than it takes. She can use this boost in chakra together with some channelling plants and use genjutsu to put entire villages to sleep. She assassinates anyone who could pose a threat, with zero casualties.
It's a different kind of frightening. A different kind of strength. And anyone who thinks she’s weak enough to attack (to break the genjutsu) gets their asses kicked.
Sasuke and Naruto are strong in a traditional sense, but Sakura is the one with options. She can deploy poisons that weaken enemies that even Sasuke and Naruto couldn’t fight. She has genjutsu that’s more subtle and versatile than always needing eye-contact. And on top of that she has surpassed the strength of Tsunade which was capable of tussling with Kage.7
The delusion of this statement is so unreal. I hate Sakura simping so much. It ruins fics.
If your fragile male ego can’t handle a competent woman, don’t read fanfics with the BAMF!Sakura tag. Don’t know what else to tell you. I’ve written a story about an overpowered Team 7, and since canon keeps insisting Sakura is the weakest, it’s most satisfying when she is raised up higher. She gets a bad deal from canon, so I feel it’s fandom’s job to make it up to her.
You don’t have to agree. Just be sure to tag your misogyny in your own fics so I know to avoid them. Thanks 😊

Nah, people just comment to comment. I made a post a couple days ago about who I would send in to deal with the night court because that place is a mess and SOME BITCH WANTED TO COMMENT "Oh people don't read books anymore!" I didn't even want to argue so I deleted their comment.
Does that person think I give a genuine fuck? My account, I post what the hell I want. That person didn't read the books because Illyria abuses the women, Hewn City cranks it up by like 5%, and Velaris got slums after the war and the Lord and Lady are just building fucking houses.
About to change my bio to let people know if I pissed them off, I don't give a fuck 😊.
(Literally just woke up and scrolled through on Tumblr and saw that fuckass comment. Whoever commented that, I hope you break a toe).
Oh people read books! it just suddenly doesn’t count when person 1 disagrees with how person 2 views the books🙄 Whats strange to me is how obvious the night court is so performative. Theres so many obviously wrong things their doing but the majority of fans love them and think they are the best form of government in the acotar series like🤨?
But exactly people just comment to comment😭 a while back i made a post about how Tamlin is more of a dreamer than anyone in the ic and somebody started yapping about whAt abOut the TithE and his riches and i was just ?! did i ask ?! i didnt say he was a saint i said hes done more for people than the ic ever has. and where does rhysand get his wealth anyways ??? Rhysand is RICHER than Tamlin and certainly flaunts that wealth more.., where does he get it? exploitation of hewn city people ???
ANYWAY continue to piss people off with your posts !!! people forget that if you dont like someones opinion on smth you can just block them and move on !! PISS OFF MORE STANS🔥

OTW Board Meeting Problems--the Pre-Meeting Conflict
A lot of people showed up to the OTW board meeting today (several times the attendance they've ever had) and they were not prepared. A number of people have writeups, here's one with links to other writeups. I'm actually not writing about the meeting itself but about the problems the day before (Saturday) in the Help channel of that server, the content of which has since been deleted. (Regular deletion of that channel is a pre-existing policy which was stated in the channel header beforehand, this is not something they decided after-the-fact. That channel is (supposed to be) for quick technical questions only.) Here's my memory of what happened. I don't remember names. A user asked if they could add the Pluralkit bot to the server as an accessibility tool. Pluralkit is a Discord bot that makes it easier for users who are systems to show which person in their system is speaking at any given time. Someone else objected because you can't block people with Pluralkit, and they need the ability to block for their own mental health. Someone official (I forget who) said that they wouldn't be adding Pluralkit because it evades blocks, and asked if there was any other bot or process that would provide the same functionality while still leaving the user blockable. At this point, I shifted my attention to another server that has people who are systems, and asked if anybody could recommend an alternative to Pluralkit. Nobody had an alternative that worked better, and also explained why Pluralkit doesn't allow people to be blocked. Messages posted using Pluralkit are not, from a backend point of view, posted by your account; they are posted using other forms of metadata called webhooks. Therefore, if someone blocks your account/username, it does not block any message you (or any member of your system) sends using Pluralkit because Discord's back end doesn't know it's from your account. Because of this, anyone using Pluralkit cannot be blocked by anyone for any reason. This is a problem for both moderating and for other users, some of whom need the ability to block people for their own mental health. (For example, if you have idiosyncratic triggers and don't want to have to explain your trauma to get people to spoiler mention of things that nobody but you would ever think of as a trigger--it's easier just to block people who talk about that a lot than to explain things.) After getting this explanation and talking about some other stuff, I went back to the OTW channel and found that there had been a LOT of discussion on the issue in the meantime, some heated and some not. There were several people, for example, who misunderstood the problem, and thought that Pluralkit allowed bad-faith users to evade blocks, and argued that since bad-faith users can use a lot of other tools (such as making new accounts) to evade blocks, that Pluralkit should not be singled out like that. (In fact, a Pluralkit user does not need to evade blocks; even the best faith Pluralkit user can't be blocked, because of the way it works.) There were reciprocal accusations of ableism from both the people asking for pluralkit and the people who need the ability to block for their own mental health. But things didn't go down the toilet until somebody showed up and started making really nasty and dismissive comments about systems and people with dissociative identity disorder, accusing them of faking it and being liars. At which point a lot of people got mad at that person for good reason. There was no moderation at any point. Presumably this is because the server is only used for board meetings and few people show up for those and they aren't used to needing moderators, especially not on days when there is no board meeting. And despite the time and place of the meeting being advertised by several different people with lots of reach in fandom (which I've never seen happen before), nobody in the organization thought to try and prepare for an influx of people either ahead of time or on the day of. On the one hand, I can't blame them, because they've never had a turnout like this in the history of the organization, and it's really hard to prepare for something unprecedented. On the other hand, it's an unfortunate failure, because some people got hurt and a lot of people got even more upset than they were to begin with.

what's neo wicca and what's wrong with it?
I want to start off this answer by saying I didn't say anything was wrong with it inherently. I added "NeoWiccans" to that list in my pinned post, because I kept posting things that I do in my practice -- a practice that is and always has been folk magic / folk conjuration in nature -- and would have self-labeling NeoWiccans argue with me in the comments. Of my own post. On my own blog. And frankly, I got sick of it.
I don't think the umbrella of NeoWiccans are bad, when I say "NeoWiccan" or use the royal "they," I am referring specifically to NeoWiccans I've interacted with in the past and what they have done/do.
Now that I've cleared that up, when I (personally) use the word "NeoWiccan" on this blog I'm referring to everything aside from the "traditional Wiccan" branches, i.e. anything that is considered "Wicca" and is not strictly Gardnerian or Alexandrian. While Gardnerian and Alexandrian schools of Wicca have strict rules, protocols, and ways of doing things, NeoWiccans are similar to self-named "eclectic witches" and take from lots of schools of thought to build their practice. And like I said that isn't inherently a bad thing.
If you were looking for a simple answer that's where the simplicity stops. You're free to take the answer "NeoWicca is X, Y, and Z, and there's nothing wrong with it.*" and then you don't have to read the rest of this.
EDITED: For the record, I went and fixed the organization of that bottom part to solve any further miscommunications. Thanks a bunch for the ask, and the opportunity to speak my piece.
(* But if you're interested in the nuance, then stick around.) [cont. under the cut.]
If you're a NeoWiccan practitioner, and you're reading this, please make sure you're reading this in good faith. I am not in any way trying to shit on anyone's beliefs or practices -- or even anyone in particular. If you can read criticism from the outside of your practice and then keep scrolling, feel free to keep reading.
And if you can't. Well. Please don't send me anything too nasty. Remember the Threefold Law applies to Tumblr Asks, too.
(For legal reasons the above was a joke. But seriously don't be mean. Deleting asks takes so much time, and I only have the same 24 hours in a day that you do.)
[cont.] But it's what led to most of what, I -- a folk charmer who has never and will never practice any flavor of Wicca, see from the outside of NeoWiccan practice looking in, as a problem.
Most of my problem lies in the cultural appropriation inherent in the foundation of Wicca itself. But I'm not here to send that slaughtered horse through the meat-grinder. There have been so many more educated, better spoken, and experienced people in occult spaces discussing that particular topic that I would just say typing the words "Wicca" and "cultural appropriation" would keep anyone interested enough in that discussion busy for like a week straight. The bottom line in that are the inherent moral flaws I, personally, see in Wicca. Sure, we can also talk about the good things the Wiccan movements have done for modern witchcraft -- I am absolutely not throwing the baby out with the bath water, but I don't want to talk about that either, because that's also a proverbial horse that's been through the proverbial ringer.
(Disclaimer, the below paragraph is literally just me bitching. If you don't want to read a paragraph of me bitching about my experiences sharing the occult space, then you're free to go. No one was holding you hostage to read this post.)
And the smaller, but still just as important, part of my problem is how -- in my experience interacting with people in occult spaces -- the NeoWiccans I have attracted for no good reason seemed to argue about everything. I don't know if I just bring out the worst in those particular people -- which would suck because historically that has never been the case -- or what. But it's like every NeoWiccan person I've ever interacted with is the angriest and most argumentative person I've ever met. They argue about the history of Wicca (even though it's well-documented), they argue about verbiage used in Tumblr posts on blogs that have nothing to do with Wicca, they argue about how it's spelled "magick," they argue for their right to use white sage or why they're not making a bad decision by using it, they argue about why people don't cast a circle, they argue about the proper use of moon phases -- I could go on and on.
It might just be my praxis as a historically-fueled folk charmer coupled with my big opinions on things, but I got sick of self-identifying NeoWiccan practitioners coming onto my blog and arguing with me. So I added it to that list in my pinned post. It just so happens that shitty things like evangelicals and Neo-Nazis were also on that list before I added NeoWiccans. Nothing personal, just how the cookie crumbled, I guess.

Hi, i’ve been looking at your post, talking about it, and sharing it with some friends. Honestly i’d even say i’m a fan of you and your work despite how little of it there is right now. I have a couple question.
First, I was wondering if you had any other accounts that I could follow your work on, like twitter and such.
Second, I saw that you took classes in etholgy and talked about advocating for the personhood of animals. I mean, I know they’re smarter than we sometimes give them credit for. Take for example the recent study with scientist communicating with whales with their own language for the first time. But I was hoping to get your insight in what you mean by personhood of animals and thoughts on the topic. (And also table napkin thought on how anthropomorphizing can harm or help our understanding of animals)
Third but a little more obscure, is that you use humanity, personhood, and the being of « more human » a lot. I was hoping if you could expand on the differences of these terms and how they interact with one another.
Sorry for all the questions, just honest to god fascinated with your perspective of things and the topic in general.
Here’s the whale communication study I mentioned: https://globalnews.ca/news/10182116/humpback-whale-conversation-talking-to-aliens/amp/
Oh my gosh thank you so much for your kind words! This, AO3, and YouTube are actually my only accounts online that I post anything on, and I just use my YT account to reupload other people's deleted videos. I used to use Reddit but I'm trying to distance myself from that account since half a decade of hot take type comments starting when I was 15 isn't exactly the best look for anyone.
Your last two questions are linked so I'm going to address them at once. Human is simply the term used to refer to a member of the genus Homo. There's nothing all that special about it philosophically when separated from personhood, which is more or less the description of what beings do and don't fully matter morally. Speculative fiction and philosophy tend to equate it with sapience, which is more or less a meaningless term made up to separate humans (or worse, specific groups of humans) from other animals and make ourselves feel superior. There have been attempts to give it meaning, but nearly every definition uses traits that are found in at least one other species of animal and/or are not universal to every group of humans (with the notable exception of artistry but I frankly find it absurd to discount something's moral worth over that). As such, if we're going to approach the topic logically, then some animals at the very least have traits of personhood.
Language, for example, isn't exactly common in animals, but it isn't unheard of either. Bats, cetaceans (whales and dolphins), pinnipeds (seals and sea lions), elephants, songbirds (a group that contains crows btw), hummingbirds, and of course parrots all learn different "words" that they apply meaning to and then use. Cetaceans, parrots, and some songbirds even use something akin to grammar.
Ritual behavior has been shown in chimpanzees, dolphins, and elephants as they grieve for their dead.
Self-awareness, the trait most commonly held up as making humans special, is hard to measure due to the language barrier, but there is still some evidence for it in certain animals. The mirror test isn't perfect when it comes to discounting a given animal's self-awareness, but if an animal can identify itself in a mirror, it's hard to argue with the idea that it has a sense of self. Animals that passed include various dolphins, great apes, elephants, magpies, and even certain fish. Furthermore, an African grey parrot named Alex once asked a question about himself, being the first recorded instance of an animal asking anything, and bottlenose dolphins use names for themselves and others in their pod.
I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. I don't really have a definitive list of animals that I believe should be considered "people", especially given all the legal implications of that sentiment, but you've probably noticed that same groups of animals showed up again and again. Dolphins were there in all of the different categories, and elephants only failed the grammar category because they largely communicate using vibrations which work so differently from regular sound that they're hard to meaningfully compare to human languages. Parrots, corvids (crows and relatives), and great apes all have stand out members that showed up in two or three of the categories in the African grey, magpie, and chimpanzee respectively, and the other members of those families as well as whales are all intelligent and social enough that I am of the opinion that they all deserve certain philosophical rights and even legal protections. It's so easy for us to see personhood as a black and white thing that something either has or doesn't have, but like most things, it really is more of a spectrum.
To answer your "table napkin thought", while I won't deny that anthropomorphizing real animals can often lead to a lack of true understanding of them, the harm done by people trying to avoid doing so is both more common and so, so much more horrific that I hesitate to critique it too much. I mean, I have straight up seen very influential people say that acknowledging the extremely well supported fact that other animals are capable of feeling pain is "anthropomorphizing" them because one specific area of the brain that is partially responsible for processing pain in humans is only present in primates, and that of course can, and historically has, lead to horrific abuse.
I really don't mind all the questions! I love talking about things I'm passionate about, and this topic is certainly up there among the the things I care most about.

Thank fuck more people are becoming aware about the history of “degenerate”. Though, I’d suggest just deleting comments that are obvious asshole bullshit rather than arguing with them. The point of arguing is to prevent them from influencing others, but that’s not the dynamic at play if they left it as a reply on a post. You don’t need to try to out-argue them in that situation. It’s actually Forum Moderator dynamic. You can just delete their reply and block them so they can’t complain about it. If they’re not smart enough to talk shit in a reblog, not your fault they forgot OP can delete replies. Arguing outside of the replies boosts their exposure and as such even if you’re 99% successful at stopping them from influencing people, you increase the pool of people for them to try to influence. If you delete it, the pool of people their arguments can influence drops to zero, which is a 100% success rate of preventing it from influencing people.
I did pick up on the bait feeling of it, but I decided to respond more for anyone else reading. It's almost always a tough call deciding what to engage in for the purpose of "for everyone else to hear/read, I know the person I'm talking to doesn't genuinely care what I have to say" and when to just completely ignore it. There's probably very rarely an objectively "correct" choice there. I'm also in a fandom where the experience for the past 4 years has been that both responding and not responding to/deleting bait will lead to harassment campaigns, so from my personal experience I see no point in going fully one way or the other. I decide case by case. I probably should have blacked out the username and not tagged the person from the start but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt there was even a slight chance they genuinely wanted a response.

hey me again, no thanks i'll stay anon since mimato shippers are super aggressive and bitter. Guess i don't have the right to argue since i am anon, so i'll just say koumi, jyoumi, and michi are all good ships with great quality and not-usually pervy fanart, and yeah the mishirou account's doing too much but hey at least they've yet to start begging+spamming on twitter saying "fuck you toei", while tagging every digimon tag possible in both english and japanese for the whole fandom to see right?
You're literally coming into my inbox and insulting me and then telling me that Mimato shippers are bitter and aggressive?? We've been the most bullied side of the fandom for so long, of course, we don't tiptoe on eggshells anymore, if you come for us we will fight back!!
Do you even know what Taiora fandom pulled during Mimato Week last week? Do you know how many times we have to go into the Mimato tag and see people bashing the ship, how many fanarts/fanfics have been deleted from every fandom site because of hate comments and reviews? We've been backed into a corner for years, and now that we have created a fun space for ourselves you lot have to come in and invade whenever you see us doing events and such. We are not bitter and aggressive, we are tired of the bullshit way the fandom has treated us for so long, anyone would lose the patience to be nice after what we've endured.
And pervy fanart, lmao are you 10 years old???
Please, the correct term is NSFW and the site called Pixiv that you claimed is a win for Koumi post tonnes of NSFW art of Mimi with every character so I don't know how Mimato shippers doing the same makes us evil - oh wait! Your next statement explains it, Koumi event mod is in the wrong BUT we are further in the wrong by your standards! So no other shipping fandom stirring up shit has to answer to anything but Mimato shippers must control themselves lol! What happened to letting anyone ship whatever they want? And as far as the tagging Toei is concerned, EVERY single Non-So/ra/to shipper has done that at some point, brave of you to assume that it's only Mimato fandom doing that. And since you did bring up the Reboot yesterday, there was a aggressive S/ora/to/Ta/ka/ri account on twitter that sent death threats to the Digimon anime's official account in replies and qrt's almost every week while the series was airing. And fyi, tags are meant to be used the exact way you just mentioned 🤣 Everyone posts whatever they dislike about the series in the main tags, for example, the Tri slander has always been off the charts in the Tri tags. But again, I get it, this behaviour is wrong only when Mimato shippers do it right?
Now I understand why you're refusing to come off anon, because you're probably one of those preachy blogs in the fandom that says stuff like "i support all ships uwu no hate to anyone uwu" but doesn't actually support all ships. Because you will hold the ship you hate accountable for any tiny mistake they may make while let the behaviour of other shipping fandoms slip under the radar.
You have a lot of audacity to continue to stay anon and disrupt my day and demand justifications from me over your own perceptions and opinions. Very easy for you to get on with your reputation in the fandom despite being a full bitch, while I am viewed as the "bitter and aggressive" person because I don't take shit sitting down.

20 questions for fic authors
i saw ur tag in the morning when i woke up nessa and then i completely forgot. BUT THANK U FOR THINKING OF ME!!!! i don't really want to tag anyone bc its a bit scary. but eros and duo if u see this... perhaps this might interest u to do it
1. How many fics do you have on ao3?
46 ! and maybe like 20 which existed on ao3 at some point but got deleted by oj for one reason or another.
2. What's your total ao3 word count?
96 365... the oj does not write long things
3. What fandoms do you write for?
mostly project moon these days. and mostly limbus bc (inferno pink grabs me by the throat)
if i didnt feel like it was pointless id probably write for a larger variety of stuff bc the oj brain is full of self insert stuff. but it doesnt rly matter
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
the wine on your skin (137) gonna shrimp myself over that one bc it was my first and probably shittiest smut. but its smut in a large fandom (fire emblem) so it attracted people i guess
yeah dante's fine. what do you mean they're at -45 sanity you're lying (132) IM GLAD PEOPLE LIKED THAT ONE it was a lot of fun. and nice people cared about a dante centric fic with abnos:) (but also still mad as hell over that thing with the guy taking one of the concepts and clearly saying it was from another fic while categorically refusing to actually name it lol)
do NOT wake the manager up. YES they fell asleep on the job but they're REAL comfy right now do NOT disturb them (117) i can't tell if people get attracted by the funny titles or bc they see there are more characters besides faust and dante. bc i know people are NOT coming for them.
i'll always be there (104) a short manuleth fic... im glad there are manuleth likers out there. that professor loves that doctor ok
and they'll fall in love with her again and again (88) people liked the exploration of IDs... its kinda debunked now but it was still fun
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I USUALLY DO unless i find the comment weird. but if its rly weird i usually straight up delete it lol but otherwise i reply to comment if only to thank people for taking the time to leave one. its a tough world out there for attention starved writer
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
id argue the angstiest i have is one of my deleted ones where i straight up killed a char and the fic was all about everyone else's grief it was depressing lol otherwise theres the obvious silver snow edeleth angst but its kinda whatever. the backward clock chapter of the dante abnos fic was rly good imo. the nothing there one too. the inferno pink confession fic too.... ough...
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
SCORCHED GIRL & ANGELA FIC GOT ME FUCKED UP MAN. FOUND FAMILY BETWEEN THE FUCKED UP LITTLE GIRL AND THE ANDROID
8. Do you get hate on fics?
nah. thank god i dont i think id nuke my ao3 on the spot i already explode over weird comment
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
i smack my faust and dante dolls together
i used the be rly scared of smut now im a free little oj. it gets horny sometimes but also im rly vanilla so its usually very sweet.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
i dont. i should sometime though.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
NOT AS FAR AS I KNOW I THINK ID NEVER WRITE AGAIN OTHERWISE
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
nay
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
no and i dont think i could oj needs to write her thing in peace. art&fic stuff are rly fun though.. oj likes when duo art inspires her or oj text inspires duo...
14. What's your all-time favorite ship?
ALL TIME IS A TOUGHIE the ships come and go guys cmon. rn inferno pink is all the rage though. and me with all the ladies i like
15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
funnily enough i dont rly have wips bc i only start things when im REALLY motivated and i usually dont write things long enough that id drop them mid way. so none
16. What's your writing strengths?
being straight to the point maybe. idk. i mean my whole style is about short sentences and descriptions and just giving enough to get the feelings and vibes and idk. like i dont spend a paragraph talking about the weather thats not my style.
i like to think im good at sounding like chars too. if its the chars i like at least. or i hope at least. maybe its all in my head.
17. What's your writing weaknesses?
im rly bad at writing things that require more description... stuff that i cant just move on from or write by sprinkling lil actions between dialogues... like say. a fight scene. im rly bad at it
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
i mean if the char actually speaks in another language usually and mixes it with the translated language or whatever sure. itd make sense i have no issue with it
19. First fandom you wrote for?
long ago i wrote stuff for shin megami tensei 4. but i think even before that i wrote lil danganronpa drabbles that never got posted anywhere. also technically i wrote a story about vocaloids for an english assignment in middle school. does that count
20. Favorite fic you've ever written?
idk if its a favorite but im like. rly fond of "hello doctor, it's me again. i missed you." bc its the fic i probably put the most effort in. longest and multi chapters and like. id started writing it two years prior to when i finished it and id written like. a chapter and a half on paper during breaks in college and never did anything with it. and two years later when i was sorting my stuff i had these papers and wanted to throw them away so i was like ill type this out on puter at least before that. and then i ended up motivating myself to finish it and i was rly proud of it... oj is still rly sad it didnt get that much attention in the end.
otherwise oj rly likes her angela & abno fics:) shes happy with them. and also stuff ive written for duo! i think its cute and i had a lot of fun with them
