honestly, anon, there's so much that annoys me that we genuinely don't have the time to go into it all. but i've learned that i find myself getting less angry and less annoyed now that i use the lovely little block button that tumblr has blessed us with. at the end of the day, everyone has an opinion whether you like it or not. and if you know a particular opinion tends to get under your skin, or you know a specific hater that's really aggressive about it, the block button is your best friend. my life is so much better using it.

of course, if i had to narrow it down based off my experience with them, i'd probably say the arguments bother me. and not in the way you'd think! people can argue about it all day, but my complaint is that it's always the same two arguments.

i'm not going to touch on the age gap argument. i'm just not. not because i'm unable to defend it, but because i'm tired of defending it to people who don't want to listen anyway.

my absolute favorite one though is when they come off with: "wow you ship them when he murdered her whole family?? cringe". it's beautiful. mostly because it's stupid. but mostly because it's inaccurate. like what do you mean he murdered her whole family? oritel and miriam are alive. always have been. there's a whole movie about it. y'all should watch it. if they're trying to say he murdered daphne because she's the only one confirmed dead (we're gonna ignore s5 for obvious reasons), we have never gotten any confirmation about who killed daphne. baltor killing daphne is actually a non-canon event that i'm pretty sure sparxshippers came up with (which should concern the haters more, if anything!). based on what little footage we have of daphne during the battle, it's actually more likely she was killed by the ancestresses. however, we have never had true, canon confirmation on who killed daphne. hell, it might've been no one! she could've gone out cersei and jaime style! WE DON'T KNOW!

overwhelmed by negative thoughts (tis the season) which drives me to be ten times more antisocial and reclusive than usual which makes me highly irritable bc i can't be as alone as i want to be which makes me want to go totally nonverbal bc i already don't want to talk but now i'm in a Mood and i have a shit filter and i don't want to say something that'll hurt feelings just bc things are Terrible for me which makes me try to anticipate interactions and conversations so i can get a filter at least somewhat prepared which leads me to going down mental rabbit holes which wind up in a negative place again

sometimes you see something on your dash that's earth-shatteringly, blisteringly wrong or stupid or needlessly mean-spirited or something and you have to make like three iterations of an entire post with citations and sources and paragraphs of explanation to clarify your point before realizing you have never seen something like this more than once and publishing the post will probably make other people worried for your internet consumption habits rather than convince or sway anyone so you just tuck it away in your drafts in case it comes up again or delete it and move on with your life
