the fact that will and tessa's son is called james herondale after "jem" james carstairs and jem and tessa named their daughter mina, short for "WILhelmina" and gave her a middle chinese name "yiqiang" which means remember. so her name is basically REMEMBER WILL
jem and will loved each other so much they were even more than parabatais <3

the way some stories are all fun and games in the start: innocence and exploring life, shared jokes and struggles, finding love but also uncertainty, allowing oneself to be vulnerable while learning ‘oh no! not with just anyone, only my person’ but then you learn more of the story, and it's just secrets and secrets revealed, ‘I love you and I can't see you in pain (you deserve better)’ plus ‘I love and I can't show you my pain (you deserve better),’ and ‘let me keep you safe’ and ‘no! let me keep you safe,’ and seeing the sun shine through the loved ones even when there's a dark cloud on their head, and when it's time to go back to normal life, stories ending like ‘I've seen your darker shades and I'm not afraid, I'm here to help’ and ‘let's stick together’ and ‘we have come so far’ and loving each other stronger than ever, and I just so, so love it.

Herondales: Expectation vs Reality
Expectation: The greatest warriors of their generation, their bloodline is metaphorically born of the heavenly fire of Raziel, brooding and unaturally handsome, tortured pasts and tragic backstory’s run in the family apparently, literally what is their sense of humor, it’s completely unexplainable, PARKOUR!
Reality: THEYRE DEATHLY TERRIFIED OF DUCKS THIS IS HILARIOUS.

I don't know how to take the fact that L.J Smith and Cassandra Clare have the last names Fairchild and Blackthorn in common... Especially since L.J Smith's Fairchild is also a redhead who draws... Cassandra... things to confess on your inspirations ? (So, I'm joking, I'm not necessarily accusing plagiarism, but whatever the case, holy resemblance, from two authors that I adore)

New Cassandra Clare Trilogy
Honestly I would love to see a sequel to the Last Hours trilogy. My favourite of her books are the Last Hours and Infernal Devices trilogies because I love the victorian/edwardian settings.
My favourite show (ya’ll wouldn’t know it, it’s a fairly unpopular greek tv show from the late 2000s) is set during 1939-1940, during the start of WW2 in Greece. I would really love to see a Shadowhunters series set during WW2 and I know it doesn’t really work with the age gaps of the characters, as any kids the TLH characters have will be around 35 during WW2, so they’ll be too old for a series but too young to have children in their late teens.
But I loved the short story of Tessa as a nurse in WW2 and I would love to see more of the shadow world during that time period.

Mostly het mainstream fandoms are bonkers, even more so when you put a triangle. The way sometimes the triangle veers into V poly territory or even full circle, re:feelings in canon and they still go to war and fuck over the other character is mind blowing.
I mean, an author badwriting and refusal to acknowledge they're going the poly option clearly in canon, causes people who dislike that to go in defense mode and be assholes, clinging to their OTP, despite all evidence of the OT3 which is the preferred of the author (no committal to the poly non-standing, bc they're normies writing for normies, usually).
Sadly fascinating to see all kinds of illogical posts about it.

A question
I am somehow in possession of Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. I know that it's the first book of the prequel books, but can I read it without having read the Mortal Instruments?

Unpopular Opinions Book Tag
Sharing unpopular book opinions by answering TheBookArcher's book tag
I was in the mood to do a book tag, so I went looking for one to do and found this one that was originally created by TheBookArcher (check out her original video here) about unpopular opinions about books. If you know of any other fun book tags, please let me know in the comments as I want to do some more in the future.
